Huo Congjun walked out of the door of the operating theater and said what the patient's family, who were waiting anxiously, wanted to hear the most. "Mister Tang's surgery was a huge success."
The patient's family immediately became happy as they stood huddled together. A few women even shed tears of joy. Huo Congjun then comforted them for a bit and gave them some medical advice before he left.
Meanwhile, as his family returned to the ward, the patient was also pushed back there on the gurney.
Huo Congjun exhaled softly and nodded at Ling Ran, who was coming out of the operating theater behind him, with a smile. Ling Ran nodded as well before walking towards the opposite direction.
All operating theaters nowadays had multiple purposes, with surgical suites of the same layout. There were also various routes to leave the operating theaters, the patient's family usually waited at the ones nearest to the wards. The doctors tried to avoid taking those routes whenever possible.
Lu Wenbin walked gladly and diligently behind Ling Ran. He felt like he was following someone to an internet cafe for the first time.
He felt rather joyous, torn, regretful, and hopeful—like a toy poodle. He really wished that there was something he could simply fiddle with right now to release all his pent up energy.
"Doctor Ling, what are we doing next?" Lu Wenbin could hardly suppress the itch in his heart. He could not wait to perform three hundred more surgeries using the M-Tang technique and become renowned in the country overnight.
"You can teach me how to write medical records." Ling Ran's reply made Lu Wenbin fall from Kepler-76b—Albert Einstein's planet—and back to earth in an instant.
"Teach you how to write medical records?" Lu Wenbin repeated what Ling Ran said before suddenly coming to his senses. "You just started your internship and haven't even started writing medical records?"
"Yeah, I haven't really written any," Ling Ran said.
"What have you done then?"
"Debriding, suturing, barehanded bleeding control, and the M-Tang technique." Ling Ran listed out what he had done one by one and said, "The Emergency Department is the first department of my clinical rotation.
Lu Wenbin gazed at Ling Ran with extremely complicated emotions. It sounded like Ling Ran had done all that a surgeon should do from his first sentence.
However, after he heard the second sentence, Lu Wenbin was certain that Ling Ran had done nothing.
"You have to write medical records even after debriding and suturing, right? The simplified type. Have you written any?" Lu Wenbin was slightly curious.
"A few," Ling Ran said.
"Only a few? How about the remaining medical records? Could it be that Doctor Zhou wrote them?" Lu Wenbin felt that with Doctor Zhou's laziness-No, with Doctor Zhou's personality, it was impossible that he would do something like this.
Ling Ran glanced at Lu Wenbin in puzzlement and said, "There were other medical interns who helped me with writing the medical records."
There happened to be a factory explosion during one of the few days Ling Ran was at the treatment room, and everyone could hardly catch their breaths. But Lu Wenbin really did not expect talent to make such a big difference.
Lu Wenbin chuckled and said, "I had no idea that medical interns can have other medical interns play second fiddle to them, too."
Beside them, Nurse Wang, who was reluctant to part immediately with Doctor Ling, looked in astonishment at Resident Doctor Lu Wenbin as he said these words.

To let medical interns or housemen write their medical records was actually the resident doctors' most common way of slacking.
The resident doctors had to teach other people how to write medical records a few times a year, as there would be quite a few batches of medical interns and housemen on rotation in their departments every year.
Lu Wenbin was already quite adept in doing so. Moreover, the medical record system was not complicated to begin with, just purely cumbersome.
Ling Ran listened earnestly. He then started tapping the keyboard according to what was explained.

Therefore, even though there were stubborn old doctors who emphasized on typing medical records word by word, young doctors never listened to them.
Lu Wenbin had always believed that the 'copy, paste and edit' method was the most normal way to write medical records, that it was a new method that resulted from new technology, and that no one would actively go making their lives hard.
But he never thought that Ling Ran would, without hesitation, choose to type the medical record word by word.
...And that he would do so at lightning speed, as though he did not really need to think.
However, it would be very tiring to type a medical record which was a few thousand to ten thousand words or so in length word by word. Lu Wenbin kind of wanted to laugh at how naive Ling Ran was, but he was unable to do so.
'Ling Ran is still typing his medical record word by word even though he is talented, possesses good skills, and valued by the leader. What right do I have to laugh at him?'
Lu Wenbin watched in admiration and a tinge of emotion as Ling Ran's hands flew across the keyboard. He suddenly had a new understanding when it came to his medical journey.
At the same time, in his heart, Ling Ran was also overcome with emotions. 'Essays that are copied, pasted, then edited are totally blasphemous, just like dumplings with meatballs inside. Fortunately, it is not a must.'
Ling Ran wrote paragraph after paragraph at quite a rapid speed. Writing style was not important when it came to medical records, the medical records must just be written in a clear manner. As long as the medical records could be understood, it was alright if they were all spread out or incohesive. In fact, if the senior doctors were not strict, the medical records would pass even if they were just written simply.

Ling Ran, a med school senior, begins to see the world like a game UI. He uses it to pave his way towards graduation, a residency, becoming the greatest doctor in the world... And finally getting a Transformer from his newbie packs? Maybe. We don't know yet.

Many can understand how to ruin a Xianxia just by reading a bad review on Novelupdates about them.

They have repetitive arcs, repetitive 'young masters' who are looking for a beating, bland main characters, and so on... Though most of it is because Webnovel Authors in the east sometimes don't care about quality and add more quantity.

Their audience are a bunch of slobs who want a good underdog story that has a daily release schedule. They want template main characters they can project themselves onto without any consideration for character growth and so on.

When looking for Webnovels, you may see a lot of stories that have titles that is just 'Cultivation' but with a gimmick added on in the end. Maybe it's a Xianxia in an Apocalypse or maybe the main character is a spaceship. Anyway, what most people do when they tune in to read a Xianxia is see the face-slapping unfolding every five to ten chapters. They haven't come for a 'Great Tale'.

Now you may be confused by what I mean by saying this, so let me explain: Just like in my Underdog Trope Analysis, there are a lot of characters in Xianxia who fit the model of an underdog since this is a breeding factory for them.

The setting is just perfect for such a story. There is a divide between the talentless and the talented, it always features a corrupt government that favours the strong, there's petty injustices everywhere, and some virtuous people wanting to put a stop to it.

The magic aspects of a Xianxia work extremely similar to a LitRPG, but they use different ways of explaining level ups eastern culture. Since people like martial arts in the east, they bring that to the forefront and make imaginary levels and 'ranks' for those play out in an underdog story. This is a particular flavour of 'Underdog' you all know well.

They are not thoughtless, but they are also short-tempered. These Underdogs know the injustice of the world but can't do anything about it since common sense in a Xianxia promotes violence.

It is hard for organisations to stay strong when you are also having to consistently spend money on levelling up your members everyday... The 'Heavens' in these stories is basically like a Game Master who gives everyone a hard time in life.

There is a common misconception people of the west have when writing Xianxia, and that is that the cultural stuff added in a 'Immortal Hero (Xianxia) Genre Webnovel' are necessary for it to be good.

But I will come back to that explanation later as right now it is best to explain the common tropes:

Just like how you see in the common Hero's Journey format, the protagonist of these stories always has something he want to achieve, and most of the time in Xianxia's, that is enlightenment to become a Celestial entity above other people.

They start off from a low point and fight evil people, but fighting injustice is never their main goal. They seek understanding of culture and life through their battles, which can be considered more 'graceful' than fighting for fighting's sake.

The reason 'Immortals' (Eastern version of this word meaning more of a godly entity) mostly look like scholars in Xianxia is because their aesthetic is being able to fight but not seeking battle themselves. They only do and learn what they want to learn, unlike warriors who seek battle and generals who seek political and tactical might.

You will hear the 'Dao' mentioned a lot in these stories as they seek basically what Sun Wukong sought in Journey to the West: Enlightenment that can solve the initial problems they have at their core. Until they've found their answer or have done what they have had the ambition to do since the beginning, they won't stop their journey whatsoever. The ending of every good Xianxia is normally spiritual enlightenment that lets them live with their family peacefully or attaining their goal.

To reach that goal, they will overcome and survive any trials in their way. They will meet new people and go on their epic journey. You can consider Xianxia part Epic Fantasy like The Lord of the Rings in the regard. Though their personalities vary.

Some love the wonders of the world despite the cruelty that comes along with it, some are indignant and are unable to stop themselves from treating everyone as a potential enemy. This is why there are those that give off a slightly juvenile feel.

To go back to an earlier point, there is no need to worry about certain tropes people see all over this genre as long as you remember the core points of a Xianxia, and that is the 'Medicine Journey' structure before Mark Campbell transformed this ancient story template into a familiar collection of tropes we call the Hero's Journey in the present.

The Medicine Journey has 3 stages like this:
1. A problem exists which our ordinary understanding of the world cannot solve.
2. The protagonist must travel elsewhere to find the solution and search for the answers himself.
3. He returns back with the solution in hand. (The reason this is called the 'Medicine' Journey.)

Most Xianxia have added a bunch of eastern tropes to this to see the common format you see today.

Although deific figures, ancient heroes with big egos, martial arts, and mysterious forces of unknown or demonic origins have been in this genre since the beginning, power levels are different. Even how you conceptualise these tropes I've just listed out can be altered to fit a more western look if you feel like it as it's THAT EASY.

People read Xianxia for the action, but there are some experienced readers who have read all the tropes a million times before who just want something fresh every time they read it.

Story's like My Disciple Died Yet Again are parodies of Xianxia but it isn't like it's hard parodying a genre that constantly makes us in the west frustrated by certain tropes. My point is know whether your story is for new readers or more experienced readers before you write as there is always a chance you'll have to repeat arcs.

Just remember that in the end of the day, rather than copying jokes from a culture you are not familiar with, try turning the things you see into stuff that would give both you and the audience a look of intrigue. Like add 'Holy Swords' instead of Flying Swords and try using other kind of magic currency that is the standard Spirit Stones.

Techniques can also be westernised to a certain extent as long as the core of the story's journey doesn't change. The magic system in Xianxia's are known to be so soft that literally anything will work as long as you explain it with a glib tongue.

You only gotta be great at being persuasive when speaking of magibabble and literally most people will ignore inconsistencies. After keeping all this in mind, you will be ready to write your story.

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

* Orthodox Writing

Everyone knows what format a web novel is written in : Protagonist starts at the lowest point, gains a cheat, then kicks asses of various levels depending on difficulty.

These protagonists (only talking about male targeted audience) come in various types :
 01. Sword wielding ones – most popular bunch.
 02. Treasure wielders
 03. Having an expert mentors, etc. 


There are many more, and all of these are common templates, which are frequently used.


* What readers seek ?

It is a misconception that the protagonist of a story must be like an expert, who never loses, and searches for something elusive such as 'the peak of the sword' etc.

Actually, the readers do not care what kind of person the protagonist is, as they might be reading multiple web novels in a single day. What the readers search for are only three things :
 1. Authority
 2. Success
 3. Improvement

A web novel is a wish fulfillment novel, where the readers imagine themselves to be the Protagonist. This is why the Protagonist must, after a certain point, have high status in the story, success in all fields, whether academic or relationship, and a tremendous improvement compared to their past selves.

Such protagonists are called as the Orthodox Protagonists, who follow the pre-defined templates.


* Unorthodox Writing

Consider a typical scenario :

A teenage boy of sixteen pulls a holy sword from a rock, becoming a hero. Eventually, he sets off with a party of four – the hero wielding a sword, a barbarian man with a shield, an beautiful elf with a bow and arrow, and an innocent and curvy healer.

This is a common template, which has been used and refined over the years, with the hero who wields the sword being the Protagonist. The sword wielding hero will eventually seduce the elf and the innocent healer, and the barbarian man will become his best friend and right hand man (a.k.a. his subordinate).

Such web novels are difficult to write, as they have been already explored, and the readers are fed up with it.

This calls for a change in perspective.

Perhaps a story centered around the barbarian man.

Remember that your web novel must be "immersive", just like a good video game. If a novel is very immersive, then it will be hard for the readers to part with your created world.


* How to make a web novel immersive ?

01. Your Protagonist must not be a typical protagonist. In the above example, he can be anyone other than the sword wielding hero, like the barbarian man, the demon king, a merchant in the world, the king of the human world, etc.

The reason is that the template protagonists are usually elusive, and they are not much in contact with the world because of their 'mission'. On the other hand, a 'mob character' is more connected to the world, yet does not attract as much aggro as these supposedly main characters.

02. Your Protagonist must be a typical mortal.

Unlike the typical protagonists with indomitable wills and heavenly luck, your Protagonist can be a person with faults, like being greedy, lazy, or arrogant, etc.

These faults help the character to fit in the world better.

03. Your Protagonist should be affected by the world around him.

For example, if the Protagonist is a merchant, then he might hear of the hero's expedition and guess the demands in market for weapons, communication devices, food, etc. and make a killing.

Another example, if the Protagonist is a human city lord with a demon wife, he would proceed on a city expansion path to protect his demon acquaintances.
The point is, just as a hero has his quest, mob characters also have their own quests.


* Reference

The best example for Unorthodox Writing is Fang Xiang's masterpiece "The World of Cultivation".

Even the pets in this novel have their own characters and personalities, and aren't just weapons or mounts. They are just like pets in real life- we do not expect our pets to work. We only keep them because of our emotional attachment.

The bottle in Chen Xiaolian’s hand fell and he subconsciously reached out to catch it. He then looked at the middle-aged man sitting across from him. “GM?”

“Yes, something like that.”

“If that is the case, then… within this world, are you not tantamount to God? You… you are in league with ‘them’?” Chen Xiaolian’s tone turned anxious. “If I am to assume that… this world of ours is created by an existence similar to a ‘game company’… then, that means you are a member of the game company?”

“Game company? This comparison is quite an interesting one. Not exactly correct, and yet not exactly incorrect,” The middle-aged man pondered. “I could indeed be considered to be on the same side as ‘them’, however, there are some differences between me and ‘them’.”

“This ‘them’ that you are talking about. What are ‘they’?” Chen Xiaolian was suddenly fearful. “Are they… humans? What I mean is, are they real humans?”

“This so-called real humans, what do you mean by that?” The middle-aged man frowned.

“You see, I am a writer,” Chen Xiaolian thought about it and slowly said. “If I am to write out a novel, say a wuxia novel. In this novel, the world inside is something I created. However, the characters within the novel, Yang Guo, Xiao Longnu, Guo Jing, Huang Rong, Wei Xiaobao… they are all humans[1]. But in fact, they are but virtual characters that I created. As a writer, I am the real human. What I did was to use my own race as a template to create them.

“However, according to what you said, we are in fact the one who were created.

“Doesn’t that mean that we are just like the characters within a novel? Regardless if we are just passers-by or NPCs, at the end of the day… a more advanced civilization created us by using themselves as the template.”

While speaking, Chen Xiaolian took in another mouthful of beer. “Newton, Damon, Sara… all these fellows. They are all part of this advanced civilization. They are the real ‘humans’. Am I not right?”

“This comparison is indeed correct,” The middle-aged man nodded. “From a logical point of view, the situation could indeed be understood as so.”

He then smiled again. “Truthfully, in terms of races, culture, and many other aspects, ‘they’ who created ‘your’ world did so using themselves as template.

“This is very understandable. In any act of creation, the creators will unconsciously use themselves as the template in their act of creation.

“If we were to take a game as an example, should the characters in game not be human, then the players would feel a sense of disconnection. If we were to take a movie or a story as an example, should the protagonist be a non-human, then the readers and viewers would also feel a sense of disconnection.

“In this regard, I can inform you that ‘they’ and you are very similar. Naturally, there are some differences.”

“Then… what about you?” Chen Xiaolian smiled with resentment. “The you who is currently sitting before me, who claims to be the GM of this world, are you also a member of this ‘game company’? “For example, if the ‘story’s content’ requires that an important character dies in a car accident, then I am responsible for ‘creating’ this accident so that this character would die. After that, the following aftermath would be executed. For example, if the ‘world’s background setting’ requires that a war erupts between nations, I will be responsible for making adjustments to the operations of the world, leading to a war being launched between nations – this is a very complicated process, politics, ideals, interests, and the characters involved… all of these requires a precise level of calculation. Only after that would the ‘drama’ be allowed to unfold.”

Chen Xiaolian quietly drank up the beer from the bottle and then exhaled. “For example… World War I? World War II?”

The middle-aged man nodded his head.

“I… am I allowed to swear?” Chen Xiaolian seemed about ready to burst out in tears. “You are saying… you are the God of this world, the Lord… WWI and WWII is something that you created?”

“Like I said, it is a very complicated process. In order to ensure that the storyline is reasonable, then the things that happen should be logical. The political stances of the warring nations, the reason for going to war… all these are within the plans for the storyline.”

The middle-aged man smiled. “I am not a real human. I am simply a main program that was created. I am responsible for management, calculation and at times, even ‘modifications’.”

“Heavens…” Chen Xiaolian kneaded his face forcefully. Due to having drunk two bottles of beer, his face felt somewhat numb. “How powerful are ‘they’? They created thousands of years’ worth of civilizations; tens of thousands of years’ worth of history… all of it… wait! That is not right! Could it be that this ‘game’ had been in existence for hundreds of millions of years? The time involved when the Big Bang happened is measured using hundreds of millions of years!”

“A different concept of time,” The middle-aged man laughed. “You are following the ‘in game time’, whereas they follow the ‘time outside the game’. Similar to when you are writing a novel, you can simply write ‘a few years later’. Then the world within the novel would be moved forward by several years. But outside the novel…”

“Understood.”

Chen Xiaolian frowned. “Then… what about the instance dungeon that I had just experienced? Those 72 Demons… that is just a myth! They do not exist within our world.”

“As I have said, this world is created by them. They can thus create more at will,” The middle-aged man lightly replied. “Remember, this world is merely something that they have created as a background for their ‘game’. They are all backgrounds, you, everyone, all of civilization and history. They all form the ‘background’. Within this background, this stage, if any character or anything is required, then it can be created at will.

“Not only could they create Solomon King’s 72 Demons, they could even create Noah’s Ark, or even the ten thousand divine soldiers in the Siege of Flower and Fruit Mountain.[2]

“Everything is dependent on what kind of storyline that the ‘Development Team’ comes up with.”

“En, these are ‘instance dungeons’?”

“Correct. More accurately, these are the storyline’s quests. It all depends on what they want to create.”

Unknowingly, Chen Xiaolian had begun drinking his third bottle of beer.

His drinking capacity was not too good. After his third bottle, his mind began feeling blurry. “Then… why did you come find me? According to what you are saying, I am just a passer-by, an NPC. You could have just let me go on with my life, why did you have to come find me? Why are you telling me all of this?”

Chen Xiaolian was shocked yet again.

The smile on the middle-aged man finally dissipated.

He silently regarded Chen Xiaolian, then slowly stood up.

“If we are to look at a novel or a movie, there would always be an ending part, a ‘The End’ moment. Now if we are to look at it from a game perspective, there would always be an ending part for its main storyline and quests. So then, what do you think would happen at that moment?”

One such example is the little island in which you completed the 72 Demons’ instance dungeon. When the instance dungeon began, the plane crashed, then the island suffered from an earthquake, in addition, there were many people who died… however, after the instance dungeon was completed, everything was refreshed.

“Thus, as you can observe, the plane remained intact. And those people also remained alive…”

“Because… they have been reset? Refreshed?”

“Correct. However, this is only a reset and refresh of a single small instance dungeon.”

The middle-aged man slowly spoke. “In this game, there is a main storyline. The main storyline will be revealed step by step. Then, the Players will arrive to complete the quests one by one… if they are to successfully get an ‘all clear’ situation…”

“Then, another cycle?” Chen Xiaolian became stunned.

“Correct. After an all clear, the main storyline of this world will be restarted, reset and refreshed… As for me, this main program… I too will be refreshed.”

“Not death? Not elimination?”

“To be reset means that all of my existing memories will be erased, they will all be forcibly erased by the system.”

The middle-aged man lightly continued. “I am one who had gained self-awareness. If this self-awareness is erased by the system during the resetting process… then, that would mean I no longer exist, that would be the equivalent of my death… in my place would be another me in a blank state.”

He gave Chen Xiaolian a glance. “What is the meaning of life, what is the meaning of death. I think that there are many different explanations for those two. However, in your case… Why is Chen Xiaolian Chen Xiaolian? That is because you have lived for eighteen years, your eighteen years’ worth of life, all your memories, all your feelings… they all come together to form ‘you’. However… if all those feelings, memories and experience are erased… then, from a self-awareness perspective, ‘you’ are already dead.”

Well don't worry, it's not exactly what you guys are thinking. I am not planning on stopping writing ENDLESS MYTH. I just need to take a little distance from it. I'm facing a writer block for my original. I could have simply acted without informing you guys, but many of you supported me and helped me. So I owe you at least an explanation. 

Anyway, As you probably know, I'm writing a fanfic called THE TRIALS. For those who don't, it's a fanfic cross over with MHA as the first world. 

FRANKLY, the level of difficulty is too far apart.

For a fanfic, I already have a template. So apart from some OC, I might add, I don't really need to think about the world background and all that. My imagination flows easily. 

Writing an original story though isn't easy(not that writing fanfic is). The current arc of my original is giving me a headache. 

My expectations and reality were too far apart. At first, My writing skills couldn't keep up with my own thoughts, and now even my thoughts turn in an endless and useless circle. 

The chapter I posted yesterday really made me cringe. I knew what I wanted to do. I knew w where I wanted to go. But I was unable to write it. The final result was a chapter that really didn't please me. 

I'm sorry for all the fans who read my story. Please let me take a break from it and come back better.

Meanwhile, I will use my fanfic to train my skills. I will gradually try to challenge myself with it before slowly coming back to endless myth. I hope you understand me.

From now on, I will only post a chapter of ENDLESS MYTH when inspiration hit me. See you later guys.

The next day Edwin dodged his friends request to visit Hogsmeade and chose to finish creating an outline for his runes Script, Inside the room of requirement books and pages was scatted on and around the table that Edwin was working at, most of the books on the table are muggle books that had Edwin purchased from a secondhand bookstore to use as a reference to what his rune script needs to contain.

" Why can't I find any clue to make It work!" Edwin shouted face-palming himself, Edwin had been trying to find a way to make the Script following what he had been reading but Edwin ran into a problem to make everything to work he would need to give meaning to each instruction by hand which meant he would have to create a rune for each 1 and 0's( or code ?) combination that the books use.

Laying back on the chair Edwin put on the Walkman and the song Under Pressure by Queen started to play but with the Walkman on  Edwin couldn't hear the door opening.

A girl with dirty blond hair walked through the door she had an unusual smile on her face as she saw Edwin at the table she walked towards him and tapped his shoulder 

Edwin jumped out of the chair startle and called out " Luna !... you jumped me " 

"  sorry Edwin... but what are you doing " Luna stated with a curious expression on her face

" I'm taking a break," Edwin said sitting back down " how come you're not with Ysabel ?"

" She's with her friends and they don't seem to like me," Luna said, " what are you taking a break from ?" 

Edwin told Luna what he was trying to do with runes Luna looked at Edwin and said with a warm smile " Don't give up keep trying you'll get.. even if you don't at least you tried "

" Which book should I start with, " Luna said picking up the books on the table " I'm going to help you "

" Aren't you here to do something ?" Edwin asked

" that would be cool to see "Edwin said handing Luna Rune introduction and computer coding to read Edwin turned off the Walkman and started to focus back on creating the Rune Script by drawing symbols and weird letters.

The symbols and letter did not have any magic meaning as yet but will serve as a template when Edwin would give them meaning when Luna finished reading the Rune introduction and had started to start reading coding Luna looked as though she had an idea.

" Do you know how to create runes ?" Luna asks putting down the book 

" yeah it's actuality simple the only hard part is creating the letters or symbols " Edwin replied " it's just like creating spells but easier you Focus on what you're are intending the rune to mean and write it on something then the rune would then mean that... it could change depending on who is writing it but that's a whole other thing " 

" So if you can create runes that mean anything you want it to then why are you following this " Luna said raising the coding book up " Runes and this code is different "

" Well you see I never created something like this and wanted to use Muggle codes that are like runes to-" Edwin said but as he was to continue he stopped to think.

" Luna I just found out what I've been doing wrong," Edwin said holding Luna's shoulder and shaking her " I have been trying to use runes as codes but runes are not codes its magic and could be anything why couldn't I see it before "

" Because You were trying to copy someone else work " Luna stated with a blank expression 

Edwin faced turned into a frown " you're right... if it wasn't for you I might have been stuck Th-"

" I'm always happy to help a friend, " Luna said with a smile before Edwin could say thank you 

Edwin collected the paper that was on the table and floor into a pile "  Incendio" the pile of paper caught on fire and soon turned into ash " Even though I figure out what I have to do it'll take time "

Luna started to look for records of Moonfrogs Edwin with new ideas on how to use runes went back to the drawing board as Edwin taught of ideas on how to use the runes a thought came to his mind  " why don't I just use using Ravenclaw Diadem won't learning be easier  "

Edwin headed to the chamber of secrets to retrieve Ravenclaws's Diadem when inside the chamber of secrets Edwin checked to see if the Basilisk had started to melt but the ice didn't seem to move at all.

Being extra careful Edwin did not touch the Diadem as he didn't know if there was a curse on it as most of the Horcruxes that Voldemort made has, with the Diadem floating behind Edwin carried into the washroom and covered it with his robes.

Edwin planned to take Diadem to Snape's and ask if he could check and remove any curses that the Diadem may have when Edwin arrived at Snape's office he was just leaving " Professor Snape " Edwin called out 

" What is it, " Snape said and continue to walk passing Edwin

What is supernatural power?
That was the question that had been bothering Lu Zhiyu for a long time. To him, this kind of creatures shouldn't be limited to be able to control only its own body. They should be able to interfere with the world and lives around it using mind power as well. This was what a real supernatural creature should be able to do and how mind power should really be used.
This required a lot of knowledge about rules of the world. Temperature would be an example. What was temperature? General speaking, temperature was a physical quantity that expressed how warm or cold an object was. But on microscopic level, it measured how violently particles vibrated or moved. According to the kinetic theory, temperature represented the average kinetic energy of the constituent particles. Temperature was a result of the thermal motion of a large amount of particles collectively. 
Lu Zhiyu thought that a mythical creature would be able to detect the speed of the particles. For creatures on his level, it would be very difficult to control particles. There were simply too many of particles. How powerful would the mind power had to be in order to control so many particles at the same time?
Lu Zhiyu thought maybe there were other ways to control temperatures. There was no need to increase or decrease the speed of all of the particles. As long as the mind power was able to push or change the momentum and speed up the movements for the particles within a small area, the impact would be extended to the other areas and thus increase the temperatures without any limits. The stronger the mind power was, the temperature of the larger area could be impacted. And vice versa, stopping some particles could cause the other particles to slow down and the temperature to drop. The more powerful the mind, the larger the area could be impacted. A strong mind could lower or increase temperature indefinitely.
Lu Zhiyu was excited by this idea. He felt that he was getting closer and closer to developing his first template. He looked at Sakun, who was still lurching around in the life chamber and shrieking, radiating chaotic messages with its mind. It of course did not know how to control anything yet, but Lu Zhiyu did, and that was enough.
Lu Zhiyu needed to develop a genetic template that could carry the code for controlling temperature. He could then insert it into Sakun's genetic codes and turn it into a mythical creature that could control the temperature. If it worked, it would become a natural thing for Sakun and Sakun didn't have to know the theory behind it.
"It seems like I am the only one who could alter the genes. Without the ability to change genes, even if one could use the mind power to handle atom, they still would not be able to make specific modifications to the genes, let alone creating life templates!"
"For the other mythical creatures, their mind power couldn't change their own genes either. If they wanted to evolve, the only path would be to seek out other mythical creatures' genes and fuse the two genes, or to adjust their genes based on the genes from other mythical creatures."
Lu Zhiyu finally realized just how powerful the ability to transmit messages really was. It might appear very weak because it would only convey messages and modify messages. This was not something that had direct physical impact. However, to Lu Zhiyu, it was an invaluable power.
He took Sakun to the dimensional castle for a few months and began developing the mythical creature template for Sakun. Sakun was based off of an octopus and could control temperature. He named the template Zero Degree Sea Monster. He took deified cells from Sakun and began experimenting. He found that when he tried to prod the cells with his mind power, the cells resisted him. As soon as he made contact, Lu Zhiyu could feel the conciousness of Sakun was trying to interfere him. Lu Zhiyu did not want to fight against it, knowing that the only part of him that was deified was his brain, while the rest of him was still normal. He did not want to risk getting assimilated by Sakun's mind. If he came into contact with Sakun's cells, the cells may invade his own.
He remembered that he had some of Sakun's undeified cells, but he immediately pushed the thought away. Those normal cells couldn't handle a mythical creature's template and would be crashed instantly.
Seeing no other way, Lu Zhiyu used the mind power to convey his friendly intentions to Sakun, asking it to let down its guards. He built a large pool in the castle so Sakun could have a place to swim and play. He also tried to show his friendliness by feeding Sakun every day. Maybe Sakun could feel his friendliness, or maybe the conflicting minds drove Sakun to madness. Slowly, Sakun's mind stopped resisting him.
Once that happened, with his mind power, Lu Zhiyu reached into Sakun and found its genes. Like Lu Zhiyu, after becoming a mythical creature, most of genes from Sakun's ancestors were eliminated, and only the necessary genes were left behind. Lu Zhiyu took the advantage of this time, and imprinted the Zero Degree Sea Monster template into Sakun's life template. Then he immediately withdrew. Lu Zhiyu extracted one drop of blood from himself. He could see that the blood he placed on the template began to change drastically.
He injected the blood into Sakun's body and saw that its body changed drastically as well. Its head became narrower, and its tentacles grew longer. Its skin and organs were all changing as the cells realigned themselves, and formed its special organs and hardened shell. It became the dark, beautiful sea monster Lu Zhiyu wanted.
It worked!
The monster looked exactly like what Lu Zhiyu had designed. Dark, hardened skin and a fluid body structure. It looked beautiful, and its body was even harder!
