AI (Artificial Intelligence) 
– A very broad term...  When a computer program is able to interact freely with a user, it could be said to be an AI.  When a object is programmed to react to different conditions it is also considered an AI, but a true AI would be an object that is programmed, can make it's own rules, has it's own thoughts, and is genuinely aware of its own existence.  

Armlet
– Made up technology for this novel, consider it a combination smart watch, smart phone, personal assistant, and identity manager.  Called an armlet because it is usually worn on the arm.  A very generic term like how we call both Androids and iPhones just 'Smart Phones'.

HUD
– Heads up Display, this is another generic term, in most cases it is the overlay that everyone sees when they're wearing their armlets or something else that has one like a neural link helmet or a neural integrator.  In the virtual world anyone can use it without an armlet, helmet, glasses, or any other surface as the system in the virtual world can just generate it for the players.

Matchmaking
– Players playing a game will enter a queue and be matched against other opponents ideally of similar skill for a single match.  Usually it is done without revealing your opponents until the match begins.

Mech 
– A large robot, usually  humanoid in shape and that can be piloted in the most common cases.  If you can't picture it, think Transformers, or Power Rangers, or something else with large robots.  

NPC
– Non Player Character.  These are characters in games that are not controlled by a player, but still play a part in a game.  Normally they have a predefined set of actions they perform and never deviate from them, so in the case where the players feel like they are lifelike is due to the NPCs being able to think for themselves.  Because of this players will say they are AI or have Artificial Intelligence.

Neural Integrator
– Another piece of fictional technology.  It is only usable in virtual environments and it allows you to transfer your senses into a protected virtual environment within a virtual environment.  This makes more sense if you've ever seen the movie Inception and understand it to some extent.  Why do they need this?  Because speeding up time with respect to the real world would take way to much processing power to do it on an entire world scale plus people have different limits they can handle.

Neural Link Helmet (Neural Helmet)
– More fictional technology.  It is a helmet that transfers all of your brain's commands to the device that it is connected to, which in this case is almost always a mech.  Those with enhanced cognitive functions are able to use these with ease where as the average person can at most get it to recognize a very limited range of commands.

Player-Killing
– When one player kills another player, generally this is normal in most online games, but it can be taken to extremes when one player gets hunted over and over again, especially if you receive a penalty of sorts upon death.

Player vs. Everyone (PvE)
– This is when the game is players versus system generated enemies or just the environment, no killing or direct competition with other players in most cases.

Player vs. Player (PvP)
– Similar to player-killing, this refers to battles between players or when a game revolves purely around competing with other players.

Sandbox (or Sandbox World)
– An empty virtual world created for the purpose of a user to be able to experiment with anything from simulated objects, people, terrain, or even the laws of physics.  Basically a world you can set your own rules with.  A sandbox game is one that a player is usually given a set of building tools and they are set free to create whatever they wish without any constraints sometimes.  Minecraft is probably the most well-known sandbox game.

VR 
– Virtual Reality.  I don't think I have to explain what this is, but just in case, it is a completely artificial environment that does not interact with the real world.  Today we can only immerse a tiny portion of our senses into it, but in this novel, it uses complete immersion where your consciousness will enter a simulated reality.

Early in the morning, Zhang Zian heard a gentle noise in his sleep. He opened his eyes slightly, and saw the laptop being booted up on the desk. Pi was holding its legs and was curled up in the chair. It opened its mouth and yawned, as the reflection of the Windows start up image flashed on the lenses of its pince-nez.　
Ever since Pi started online writing, it woke up early every morning before Zhang Zian, and always hurried to check on website data as soon as it got up.　　
Zhang Zian put on some clothes, sat up, then got off the bed quietly and stood behind Pi. Pi looked back at him and squeezed out a smile, with an anxious and expectant look. It entered the username and password to enter the author's page. As soon as it saw the number of favorites, the expectation and anxiety turned into disappointment. 　
Pi had already written over 20,000 words, but only got 9 favorites, 0 recommendation and 20+ views. The worst was, there was still no sign of a contract. Zhang Zian patted its shoulder and asked it to calm down, relax, and not to overthink.　　
Pi nodded reluctantly. It opened a Word file and typed: "It's OK. If nobody reads it after I finish it, I can at least read it to all of us."　　
Zhang Zian nodded with a smile, but thought otherwise in his heart. How could it be Okay? He saw how Pi had been writing. It sat in front of the laptop from dawn to dusk. If he didn't go upstairs to remind it, it would not stand up for a break. It stared at the screen all day and referred to the nameless book from time to time, searching for past histories from the book, making them into stories and writing them down, following a proportion of 70% real vs. 30% unreal.  
He always believed that hard work deserved some payoff. If Pi only wrote to pass the time, it would be fine. But it didn't. It was writing with great seriousness, trying to show people the stories of the pet shop.　　
Zhang Zian bent down and typed: "Pi, I did some research. Qidian has different numbers of books in each category. You are writing a modern category novel, which has the most number of books. Maybe the editors haven't even gotten to it yet. Don't give up. Carry on!"　　
Pi nodded again and typed gently: "I will carry on."　
It was not just saying it. It jumped off the chair, wobbled into the bathroom, took off the glasses, and washed its face with a handful of cold water to clear its head.　　


In the bathroom, Zhang Zian prepared separate towels for each elfin, with different colors and patterns. Everybody was only using their own except Richard. Galaxy's towel was dark blue, Fina's was gold, Old Time Tea's was dark brown, Snowy Lionet's was white, Richard's was grey, Famous' was yellow, and Pi's towel had comic style numbers embroidered on them. They were easily distinguishable. 　 
Pi wiped its face with its own towel, returned to the chair, sat straight, and typed in Word with strokes of growing skillfulness: Chapter 15 The Observer of Destiny.　
Despite the sleepiness, Zhang Zian did not lie down again, since he was up already. He was thinking about Pi's novel anyway, and could not have fallen asleep even if he had laid down. He saw Pi writing with its entire focus, then he decided not to bother it and walked out of the bedroom door. Galaxy also woke up, and snuck out behind him.　
"Galaxy, are you going to play hide-and-seek?" He closed the bedroom door and asked gently.　
"Meow... Is Zian joining me?" Galaxy paused.　　
"Maybe later. I need to clean up the bathroom first." Zhang Zian smiled. "Go ahead, Galaxy."　　
For a moment, he wanted to ask Galaxy about the future of Pi's novel. But he didn't do it. If he knew everything about the future, what fun was left in life? Just like what Forrest Gump said," Life is like a box of chocolates. You never knew what you're gonna get."　 
But Galaxy seemed to have guessed his mind. "Meow... Zian, Pi doesn't need the help of Galaxy. It needs the help of everybody!"　　
The help of everybody?　　
Zhang Zian thought that Galaxy was referring to Fina, Old Time Tea and Richard. He was stunned.　　
Galaxy seemed to have switched the subject and asked, "Meow... Zian, do you enjoy your life?"　　
"It's fine. I think I enjoy it." Zhang Zian admitted.　　
"Compared to the days before returning to Binhai City?"　　
"Much more fun than those days!"　　


Before returning to Binhai City, Zhang Zian was a common office worker with a routine 9 to 5 schedule. Life was flat and uneventful. But upon his return to Binhai City, he was mistakenly identified and worshiped as a martial arts master, participated in a cat show abroad and was part of a film. This was beyond his imagination in the old days.　　
"Meow... Pi is writing about your life, with an artistic touch." 　　
Zhang Zian finally got Galaxy's point after the detoured conversation. His life was interesting, so a novel recording his life would not be too boring to the interest of readers. His heart sank as he heard these words. He knew this ever since Pi first appeared as an elfin. But he thought it was caused by the separation between Pi and the nameless book. Since Pi had reclaimed the nameless book, the Strength of Faith should stabilize. Or could he be wrong? 　　
Zhang Zian spoke about his concern.　　
"Meow... Pi is Pi, and the nameless book is the nameless book. Zian, Pi doesn't have much time left. It needs to regain the Strength of Faith." After speaking this, Galaxy quickly ran downstairs to play with Wendy and American short hair, who just got up.　　
Galaxy's words sounded familiar, like "the Chinese team doesn't have much time left." Usually when this line was spoken, the Chinese team ended up in a disaster.　
So here was the thing. The nameless book and Pi were two different sets of faith systems, which meant that the nameless book and Pi probably came from two separate thought experiments which happened to complement each other. But they didn't share the same Strength of Faith.　
He remembered that the Navigation Elfin once told him that if the Strength of Faith was too weak to support an elfin's physical form, the elfin would disappear. Old Time Tea's Strength of Faith was also fading, but very slowly. The Strength of Faith of Pi was already in danger since Galaxy specifically warned him about it. Pi was an Elite Elfin, the weakest kind of elfins in strength. If nothing was done about it, it would be very bad.　　
After thinking about this, Zhang Zian suddenly had a strange idea in his mind: if the fading of Strength of Faith could cause the elfin to disappear, what would happen if the Strength of Faith kept accumulating?

Add/Adds - "Additional Enemy" : a term, generally used in boss fights, that means "generic enemies that aren't the boss." Someone saying "clear adds" really means "kill the additional enemies that are not crucial to the mechanics of the boss fight." (Mobs and Adds are often used interchangeably and essentially mean the same thing.)

Aggro - Aggression: measure of a mob's attack interest in a specific character. "Holding Aggro" means the mob is fixed on you, so it's focusing its attacks on you. (Generally good for the Tank to Hold Aggro)

AoE - Area of Effect : dealing damage to enemies standing within a certain range radiating out from the spot where the spell/attack was targeted

Buff -  Spell that increases a beneficial attribute to a player (can also be obtained through foods/potions/etc, depending on the game)

CC - Crowd Control : as an attack, it controls a number of enemies by either freezing, slowing, or generally inhibiting their attack abilities so your own team can attack more efficiently

Cooldown - After certain attacks or spells are used, the cooldown is the time before the attack can be used again

Crit Hit - Critical Hit : When the maximum amount of damage for an attack is reached, it is called a critical hit

Debuff - Spell that decreases a beneficial attribute of a Mob or player (can also be obtained through poisons/etc, depending on the game)

DOT - Damage over Time : When a spell or attack deals damage over a period of time

DPS - Damage Per Second 

EXP - Experience : points received for killing mobs, completing quests, etc; used to increase in level and strength

Grinding - Killing mobs for experience without regard to a quest or other goal

HP / Health Points / Hit Points - measure of a character's life; decreases upon injury

Instance - A specific area that exists only to a particular to a specific player or group of players

Kill Steal - Killing a Mob another player was in the process of attacking (generally for the purpose of stealing the EXP and/or loot drop)

Kite/Kiting - Tactical technique that reduces the amount of melee damage taken; generally involves using ranged attacks, then running away, then ranged attack, then running, all while the mob chases you, until it dies (hopefully without ever getting near enough to land a hit)

Leech - Stealing experience and/or items; Sometimes a player will follow closely behind a group or higher-level player as they perform a specific quest. The group does all the work clearing a path to the quest and the leech can then complete the quest without doing all the work

Loot - Objects obtained as rewards for killing mobs, completing quests, opening chests, etc. 

Melee - Close-combat attacks performed with martial arts or with melee weapons: swords, axes, hammers, daggers, scythes, etc

MMORPG - Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game

Mob - "Mobile objects" / "Mobile Object Blocks" OR "Monster or Beast" : generic term for non-player entity whose primary purpose is to be killed for experience, quest objective, or loot. They tend to be aggressive to all players

MP / Mana Points / Magic Points - measure of how much magic a character has to cast spells

MPK - Monster Player Kill : luring a monster to kill another player

MT - Main Tank : (See "Tank") Most highly skilled defensive player, who holds aggro for difficult mobs so the other members of the party can focus on attacking without needing to take hits

Nerf - To reduce the capabilities, power, or attributes of a weapon or attack, or even an entire race/class; in an attempt by the developers to balance game play

Noob/n00b/newb (etc) - New or inexperienced player (generally an insult)

NPC - Non-Player Character (entity in game controlled by the game/computer)

OT - Over Threat/Off-Tank : When another party member accidentally pulls aggro from the Main Tank; this player usually doesn't have the defensive capabilities of dealing with the aggro and taking hits, or they would have been the MT. Sometimes, parties with many capable tanks will purposefully have Off-Tanks to split up the defensive duties.

PC - Player Character (character controlled by a human player)

PK - Player Kill : killing another player

PvE - Player vs Environment : Fighting against Mobs and other game-controlled enemies

PvP - Player vs Player : Fighting against player controlled characters

Regen - Regenerate : depending on the game, mobs and/or players may have functions to automatically regenerate HP, MP, and/or SP. Mobs, especially elite mobs, often have a HP regen function that allows them to regain HP during a fight, so the players fighting have to deal more damage per second than the mob can heal

SP / Stamina Points - measure of a character's stamina; meaning greatly changes depending upon game play

Stun - Attack that stops a player or mob from attacking (and usually moving at all); usually only lasts a short time

Tank - Character with inherent high armor factor, high defense, high strength; they can take more damage than most characters. Used to Hold Aggro during team fights so lower-defense characters don't take damage. (Also makes it easier on healers if they only have to focus on Tanks)

VRMMORPG - Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game

Start of the battle: 17 survivors vs 61 rats

Survivors are fighting the rats over the swampy area that rats have recently made from their waste. The swamp has slowed the survivors by 20%, while the rats have no problem moving.

The waste on the swamp area have debuffs to the humans, humans could not resist the disease and instant odour as all of the survivors suffered many diseases debuffs. Virus and Bacterias are infecting the survivors as the pisses and faeces formed swamp on where the survivors step on.

Each hit or the rats died given the surrounding survivors mass debuffs, that the Anti-toxin do not even fix the problem.

After the insane long struggle, the survivors manage to survive with 2 in the party anyway.

Back in the base, survivors who come back are swearing as rats trench are the battleground of mass debuffs, and people are stocking up the seem useless pill as rats threat have just started.



Writer note: I have just given the summary, trench warfare, those who don't know can try google it, the rat trench is like each trench is loaded with rats shit and piss. Anyone who breath in that will catch the mixed of multiple diseases. I leave the story to the reader's head, on how it is going to play out. The rat comes in mass, which makes taking antitoxin to offset the debuff an impossible task to do.

Then, Vayne could proceed to throw punches at the other enemy champions, only needing to be cautious of Orianna's skill. If it was executed properly, Vayne would be close to unstoppable.
"Are you saying that he's attempting a new playstyle?" Lin Dong found it rather unconvincing.
"That's right. Vayne is beyond capable of being a finisher. In certain situations, she can be even more horrific than the heroes that can instantly refresh their skills, because without any CC available, even a tank is fragile in front of her." Xiao Bei voiced his opinion.
Listening to Xiao Bei's analysis, Zhang Aijing fell into her own train of thought.

The atmosphere was extremely tense.
However, one person always found himself contradicting the stressful situation.
While the other nine players were camping around the Baron, preparing for the impending clash, he cheerfully pressed the mid-lane and almost arrived at the opponent's high ground.

"Team Shanghai is now using a four-one split strategy. Four players are controlling the Baron's area, while Vayne is given the space to push the minions into the opponent's base. Team Liaoning can only play passively for the time being," Qi Qiao pointed out what was going on to the audience.
As Qiu Jingtai was a rookie player, naturally, he did not understand such a complex strategy. He quickly asked Jiang Jiu, "Why is Team Liaoning being so passive now? Can't they just ignore Vayne and go straight for the Baron?"
"The Nexus Tower might be destroyed if they go for the Baron now. Giving up the inner turret in exchange for the Baron is not entirely justifiable," Jiang Jiu responded to his question.
"Then why not fight the other four players from Team Shanghai? Without Vayne, they should be able to win the team fight," Qiu Jingtai queried further.
"That's not necessarily the case. Team Shanghai might retreat immediately if Team Liaoning tries to force a fight, and by doing so, Vayne would be given more time to take down the turrets. Besides, I don't think Team Liaoning would be able to wipe out the entire Team Shanghai since the latter have Thresh in the SP position. At best, they could probably only kill one or two of them." Jiang Jiu explained patiently. 
 "Okay. Then they should send one player back to the base for defense while the others fight them 4 vs 4," Qiu Jingtai blurted out his thoughts.
"Send one player back?" Jiang Jiu laughed incredulously.
Qiu Jingtai was confused at first, but then, he immediately realized how stupid that suggestion sounded. Vayne had been able to fight four heroes all at once before this, sending one player back was no different than feeding her an easy prey.
Quite frankly, judging by Vayne's horrifying display of power, even two or three champions might not be sufficient to take her down. Worse still, the game would be done for if they continued to be counter-killed by the formidable ADC. Besides, the other four members of Team Shanghai were no ordinary players.
Now, if two people were chosen to go back and defend the base, Team Shanghai would still have Jax's high damage output and Elise's damage by percentage. They could either swiftly put down the Baron, or a 4 vs 3 team fight would work in their favor too.
More importantly, the two people that were sent back might also be slain by the brazen Vayne. One glorious Ace and the game would end in a flash.
Team Liaoning was clearly in a huge dilemma now.
"This is how a high-end game looks like. Even if you play solo, as long as your skill is convincing enough, the other four players will willingly follow your footsteps. Qiu Jingtai was not a slow learner, he now realized why Team Shanghai was ready to sacrifice their economy in Vayne's favor even though Cat Eye was playing awfully at first. He also finally understood why nobody in the team blamed Vayne for his solitary playstyle.
Though this seemed like Vayne's solo performance from the surface, the entire Team Shanghai was accounted for by setting up the stage for her. As long as they could win, the other four didn't mind to play the sidekick role.
This was the true spirit of a team!
A good player did not require long-winded explanations, they would instantly understand you and have faith in you.
Everybody could tell how dreadful Vayne was in the early game. The other four members of Team Shanghai knew full well that Cat Eye was not the actual player. Of course, they did have their doubts as to whether the ghost-gamer could be depended upon or not. In spite of that, they did not hesitate for even a second when the team decided to give up their own economy to nurture Vayne. This was because they shared a common understanding—To win this match, they needed a well-farmed Vayne.

During the Lecheng Grand Finals, the reason Yu Luocheng had shut off the voice chat was due to Team Scarlet's ignorance toward the importance of team spirit. They had begun to point fingers at each other the minute the game became unpleasant.
In this current match however, although Yu Luocheng was unaware that this was an official game, he could tell that his teammates were true LoL players, owing to their prompt coordination with him despite his unpredictable and unconventional solo play.
They had shown no sign of frustration at any point in the game, instead, using their actions to tell Yu Luocheng that they were fine being the lesser ones. They were happy to contribute from the dark corner where the spotlights would never shine on them, and where the audiences would never notice them.
All they asked for was a victory. Whether they stood out in the process did not bother them at all, so if Vayne was performing a stunning solo dance, they didn't mind being her escort behind the scenes! Yu Luocheng could recognize his teammates' strong desire to win through their actions even though they had not conversed much.

Before we start i want to inform you of my way of writing.

Firstly, this story will be switching back and forth from different POVS and if you don't know what that is,it means point of view.In other words  a character will be telling the story how they see it.The name of the character will always be mentioned at the beginning of the chapter in order not to confuse you.

Secondly, I want to tell you how updates will work.I will be updating every two days starting on the Sunday of every week meaning that after Sunday I won't update till Tuesday so on.The expected chapters on that day should be 2 or more.This schedule will be maintained until further notice.

Now,mass release will happen once a month on a Sunday of my most convenient time.There are two types off mass releases.The fallowing are of 5-10 or 10-20 according to my convenience.I am a very organized person and I would like to maintain that tittle.This schedule will be maintained until further notice.

Next, is of the character's personality.I am kindly warning you that you might hate the male lead at the beginning of the story but am sure at some point you will be able to understand him.If you expect a bossy and arrogant ml then yeah he will be but their is a difference between my ml and others because he is not ignorant and knows where to draw the line,which means he won't do something to make you want to kick him out of the novel completely.Anyway as I was saying my characters are made in a unique way for certain reasons.

The male lead will not turn into a playboy,rapist or violent man which is of variety in webnoval,I am also not judging other authors choice of character actions and personality because is how they would like things to go all am doing is explaining to you the way I write.My job as an author is to ensure that the reader thoroughly understands and can relate to my work in general.I also try to put out the a positive image of real-life base life situations mixed with a bit of fiction.You can complain that she is too cold,she is too weak or he is too arrogant and so on,but like I said before we are talking about real life situation Vs fictional characters and am sure you say you will react a certain way and end up doing another when in the actual situation.

For most people, the genres of the games in the shop were abundant and complete.
However, some people were still unsatisfied as they felt like it lacked something,

However, for people who wanted to sharpen their commanding skills in war, the Legend of Mir 2 had its limits.

The Zi Xuan Ending had the shortest process. In this ending, Chong Lou used his own demonic energy to repair the Demon-Suppressing Tower for Zi Xuan, and the story ended after the battle with the Evil Sword Immortal.
Of course, some people got the ending in which both Xuan Jian and Long Kui died, which doesn't deserve to be discussed here.
By now, the number of activations of the Legend of the Sword and Fairy 3 had surpassed 4,000.
The Matrix had attracted many viewers from the day it was released. Even though this movie didn't help viewers improve their strength in clear ways and was limited in this aspect, it still had a high number of activations with its novel plot and imagination. The popularity of this movie even increased the activations of the Resident Evil movie and game.
Of course, some players enjoyed the games and movies without expecting to obtain benefits.
