"No way, dobe. "I'm not doing that," Sasuke's voice came out irritated and bored, but Naruto persisted.

"Come on, Teme!" he whined. Sasuke shook his head. Naruto changed his tactics. He shrugged indifferently.

"Fine," he said. "You'll probably lose anyway, and then you'd be broke." He sighed in a "that's-too-bad-but-what-are-you-gonna-do" kind of way. Sasuke tensed. Stupid, color-blind overactive bastard always knew how to wind him up.

"Okay, I'll do it," he grumbled. "Happy?" Naruto grinned hugely.

"Yup! And remember what the conditions are," he said, sticking his hand out for Sasuke to shake. The raven-haired nin took it and let the blonde boy shake his own hand violently. When the Uzumaki finally released his hand, Sasuke turned and walked away from the smirking Naruto.

Bastard…" Sasuke thought as he walked. His thoughts were penetrated by a voice calling to him.

"Uchiha!" Sasuke turned and saw Hyuuga Neji walking toward him, wearing an all-too-familiar look on his face. He was carrying a sheet of paper and he stopped a few feet from Sasuke.

"What do you want?" Sasuke grouched, his bad mood clear in the tone he was using. Neji raised an elegant eyebrow, seeing the Uchiha's obvious scorn, but decided to ignore it.

"Tenten and Lee have a bet going," he stated matter-of-factly. His voice was stoic, as always, but his eyes showed all the distaste he was trying to hide. "They want to see how many girls I can…" He paused and took a deep breath and let it out again before he continued. "They want to see how many girls I can…pick up…with these." He held the sheet of paper he was holding out to Sasuke, who just stared at the Hyuuga for a moment before taking the paper. He looked over the pick up lines and almost literally gagged. WHAT! These were horrible! Even Sasuke could see that, and he never tried to pick up any girls! He looked up at Neji and saw the look of embarrassment on the other's face, no doubt at his teammates' stupidity.

"And you agreed to do this?" he asked incredulously. Neji went slightly red and shrugged.

"They forced me," he said. "They said they'd force me to spend a day with Naruto, Lee and Gai-Sensei if I didn't." He shuddered and Sasuke could tell why. An entire day with the three creepiest people in Konoha? No wonder Neji agreed. "And it's not so bad," Neji continued. "They promised they'd leave me alone if I did do it." Sasuke looked at him.

"Why not just don't and say you did?" he asked. Neji looked back at him.

"I have to write a list of the girls I try to pick up and they're going to go around and…ask if I really did…you know…" he answered dejectedly. Sasuke's mouth almost dropped as he stared at the brunette prodigy. Hyuuga Neji, heir to the esteemed Hyuuga clan, master of the Byakugan, reduced to trying to pick up girls with these!? The thought made Sasuke shudder. Then, he was hit by a sudden thought.

"But, why come to me?" he asked. Neji's face became slightly desperate.

"Well," he started awkwardly. "I figured you'd know more about these sorts of things, and that…maybe…you…could…" Neji scowled and broke off, looking at Sasuke's amused face. Sasuke suppressed a laugh.

"You want me to help you," he asked. "Pick up girls with THESE?" He held the pick up lines in Neji's face and shook the page for emphasis. Neji rolled his eyes, his scowl deepening.

"Point taken," he said through gritted teeth. He reached out and snatched the papers from a now slightly shaking Sasuke, who was trying very hard to hide his laughter.

"Hold on, there Hyuuga," he called. Neji stopped and turned his head.

"Yes?" he said pointedly. Sasuke took a deep breath and avoided looking at the Hyuuga while he replied.

"How many girls do you have to…pick up?" he asked, his eyes now watering from trying not to laugh. Neji grimaced at Sasuke as he turned the list over and stuck it under Sasuke's nose. Sasuke looked it over. There was a list of girls Neji had to try to pick up and they were all girls that he knew. It seemed that they were being merciful to the poor prodigy. There were only five:

Yamanaka Ino

Haruno Sakura

Hyuuga Hinata

Temari

Tenten

Sasuke looked at Neji.

"You have to try to pick up your own cousin?" he asked, a little disgusted. Neji looked positively revolted, but nodded weakly. Sasuke shook his head, but shrugged.

"Well, at least it's all girls you know," he said. Neji raised his eyebrow.

"I don't know Temari, and I really can't say that I like Sakura or Ino, and as for Hinata…well, you know the trouble with that," the prodigy said. Sasuke smirked and chuckled.

"Well, then," he said. "Start choosing the pick up lines you're going to use. I'll help you with that much." Neji nodded, thoroughly angry, and Sasuke shook his head, smirk still fixed on his face, and started to help him decide between the corny pick up lines.

Zhou Ruihan and Li Xiaoli had just entered the office. Even before they could have a look of the view inside the office they were greeted by the happy laughter of Han Mi. All three of them were working for a long time with each other, thus they were quickly able to understand that it was Han Mi who was giggling like a child.
Looking at each other Ruihan murmured as he quickened his pace, "Why is she laughing so much?"
Xiaoli added another question while trying to match his pace with Ruihan, "She might be seeing a funny video."
Looking at both the girls playing catch catch Ruihan and Xiaoli supported their forehead. At first, they both thought these girls would stop after two or three rounds. Contrary to their expectations both the girls apparently were enjoying the cat and mouse chase so much that they had knocked every other thing that came in the way, including files, vase, water bottles, and whatnot.
It had been more than ten minutes that Ruihan and Xiaoli were standing at the door of the office but the girls did not seem to notice them. At last, Xiaoli decided to clear his throat and make their presence known, which failed miserably. Xiaoli's voice was instantly drowned under Han Mi's super excited laughter.
Glancing at Xiaoli, Ruihan shook his head helplessly. Knocking on the door loudly he spoke, "Shall we join you girls as well?"
Ruihan's voice was loud enough for both the girls to hear making them instantly stop at their places. Han Mi who was giggling a moment earlier was not shocked, while Zhi Ruo had stood up from her chair with her hands going back to her normal position instead of protecting the chest.
Both Han Mi and Zhi Ruo greeted the men. Noticing them looking around the office with scrunched up faces Zhi Ruo also glanced around herself. It was then she actually realized that the neat and clean office was now in a mess with paper's lying on the floor and water bottles rolling here and there.
Even Han Mi understood that they both were so engrossed in their time pass that they actually created a mess inside the office.
"I will pick it up." Saying Han Mi started to bend down and pick up the fallen papers followed by Zhi Ruo. Xiaoli was also about to help them, after all, he cannot allow two beautiful women to work alone.
"No need" Ruihan spoke startling everyone.
When everyone was thinking if not them then who will clean it Ruihan spoke again, "Xiaoli and I will pick it up."
Han Mi and Zhi Ruo were completely caught off guard, but till the time Ruihan and Xiaoli had already started to pick up the mess.
Both the girls also went ahead to help, unfortunately, they were ordered to not do anything by both the gentlemen.
Xiaoli who was trying to show that he was all happy by helping the girls was actually cursing and complaining in his mind, 'Why do they create a mess and I have to clean it. Every time, every time...Why me?'

Tiffeny whisper back "Same here,except I have 8 dresses and ** pick one "
"Same here he pick the last one .What about this let's pay for their suits and we get to pick"Mandy said 
"Same thing I was thinking" Tiffeny whispered.
Mandy called the assistant and pointed out some suits , all that suits had bows on them.
The boys when and tried them on. They looked good in them but not good enough.
Tiffeny stand up and said" what's with the rainbow colors Mandy.Pink , Blue,Purple , green and white.Aish let me choose." Calling the assistant she ask for a tie and a white and black suit and pack the rest that they tried and put them in two separate bags each.
After a while the assistant return with the bags .The girls stood up . Mandy point at PJ and said "I'll pay for his set " 

"And I'll pay for his set " pointing at **,Tiffeny hand her card to the assistant.
Nodded and collecting the card ,he hand her the bags.After collection back her card, the two girls grad the boys hand and head out .

The two boys look at each other confused see the girls act , picking out their suits and paying for it , now holding their hands.This was paradise for them ,it was like a dream coming true , wishing that time could stop .
"Where next "Mandy shout while still holding PJ hands

After hearing what she said both boys were knocked out of their conversation trans with each other  .
Looking at their hands and then look at the girls. Tiffeny ask "what are you looking at " look down at her hands holding his ,she pulled hers away and blushed a little  . After seeing this Mandy decided to look at hers , she blush and pull her hands away from his . Covering her face in embarrassment with one hand while the other open the car door.Try not to blush Tiffeny bite her lower lips and open the other side of the car door and when in with Mandy .Mandy land her face on Tiffeny lap and Tiffeny hind her face by folding her hands on Mandy back and land her face in-between.


Thinking that their girls look cute while blushing, the boys look at each other and laughed, opening the door,They when in the car. 
When they reach at ** home the girls were already fast asleep, not what in to wake the girls up ** call one of the servant and Told her to come at his room at five to remember them of the banquet ,ask that he send her away.

After setting the girls in the middle the boys took the ends .
After all they were tired too , after landing on the bed they  falling fast asleep  .

Upon knowing that Luisa has a relationship with two men at the same time, Carla was upset. She scolded Luisa that she put herself in danger, not only herself but all of them.
"I think you are right Carla; she was almost caught one time!" Lorna started to tell what happened the other week.

To them, Europe sounded more stable and alluring than Africa; Kings and Queens against tribes, civilization against the wild jungle.
When the plane that will bring them to Switzerland take off from Lanarca. the girls looked outside the window of the plane, until the sight of the island country fully disappeared. The place, where for only a year a lot of things happened to them and made changed their personalities if not their souls, where they lost their innocence to the bitter reality of life, they hope that they will never to come back again in this country, to fully forgot what had happened. They take everything that had  happened as a nightmare,  and hope to wake up in Europe and that still they could fulfil their dreams.
Their thoughts were also to Grace and Luz.  When they leaved the Philippines they were six and now they were only four. Could they see Grace again? What would be the life of Grace in Cyprus with her man Dimitri? About Luz, if Luz was not really in the Philippines, where was she?

Chapter 4 -  The Switzerland Adventure
LOCARNO,SWITZERLAND                                                                                                                    August 1986   
After long hours flight, the plane they boarded in Cyprus landed in Genève, Switzerland. The place looked different compared to Cyprus. Now, the saw many white people.
From Genève, they must board or take a train to Locarno as instructed to them. A Filipina will pick them up at the train station.
They boarded the train and arrived at the train station in Locarno.
They noticed that the language spoken was different from the sound of language they heard in Genève. They were right. In Genève, mostly the people spoke German and in Locarno, the language used was Italian.
For a while waiting for the Filipina that will pick them up, the girls started to worry. They scrutinized good every people in the station.
"I see no Filipina." Luisa said.
"They instructed us to just wait until someone will pick us up. "Carla started also to worry. They were already waiting for almost half an hour.
Six hours, the girls were still sitting by the train station. The Filipina that will pick them up did not showed yet and they were really worried.
"Still nobody!" Lorna said.
"What will we do if nobody will pick us up?" Thelma asked the other girls.
"Maybe something happened!" Luisa said, also in a worried voice.
"Like what?" Lorna asked Luisa.
"The person that will pick us up have an accident on the way and then nobody will come." Luisa answered Lorna.
"Sometimes you had a strange thought, Luisa! Do not wish something bad to others!" Carla said to Luisa. She is the one who always corrected Luisa with so many doings and words that sometimes fitted to nonsense.
"It could happen! I am not wishing bad to nobody." Luisa answered Carla.
"I am asking, what will we do if nobody will pick us up?" Thelma repeated her question.
"Then we have to come back to Cyprus!" Luisa answered Thelma.
"How can you comeback to Cyprus? Our flight ticket was only one way. We don't have money and even if we have the money, do you have a visa to Cyprus?" Carla answered Luisa. Luisa did not answered, she just shrugged her shoulder.
"I am hungry!" Lorna said to change the topic. "We have to eat something!"
"What will we eat? I am hungry too and thirsty!" Thelma agreed.
"Good evening!" someone greeted them, and they saw a woman that looked Asian. "Are you the Filipinas from Cyprus? Kababayan?"
Upon hearing the kababayan word, the four girls know, they were safe. The person that will pick them up arrived.
"Thanks GOD, our eyes were already white before you came!" another idiom from Luisa and Carla sternly looked at her as to say, 'shut up your mouth'.
"Sorry, something happened that is why I am late. I am Paula!" and the woman introduced herself as Paula, and she shook hands with them.
"We are hungry, where can we buy foods?" Carla asked Paula.
"First I will bring you all to your apartment, and then I will take care for food. Tomorrow, I will show where you can buy groceries and the place where you have to perform!"
Paula drove her own car. She was a residence of Locarno, married to a Switzer with an Italian descent. Paula has two children, and she was just helping her husband with their business, Impresario Asiatico. Their business specialized in promoting and contracting Asians performers from Asia.
The apartment suited best to the taste of the four girls. They liked it very much. It has two bedrooms, a big living room and a big modern kitchen with all the gadgets of time.
"Our apartment is okay!" Luisa was very delighted.
"It's very okay! But how much we have to pay monthly?" Carla was worried that the beautiful apartment will costs them what amount of money.
The next day, they learned from Paula that the furnished apartment was for free. Their salaries were according to their contract, three hundred dollars per month and from the company Impresario Asiatico they will receive an extra of 100 Swiss Franc for their foods.
"No men allowed in the apartment! Take good care the things inside the apartment because if something will be damaged you have to pay, and I warned you it's not cheap!" Paula told to the girls the rules as imposed by the company. "Your visa is for one year and your contract to our company is also for one year. After that you really must come out Switzerland. I hope you are really dancers!"
"We are cultural dancers!" Carla said, she was the one who answered Paula.
"But in Cyprus we have to do more than dancing!" Luisa said.
"I do not want to know about what happened and what you all did in Cyprus, so you must not tell me!" Paula answered Luisa.
"We could not understand it. Our agent is in the Philippines. In Cyprus, the Greeks were the one handling and here you are the one who will manage us! You are just one group?" words from Thelma.
"No, we or our company is not connected to any group. We have a direct contract from your agent in the Philippines." Paula answered Thelma.
They girls for a while were silent. They realized, they already had a fast contract to come to Switzerland, but why in Cyprus the people there let them believe they cannot come to Europe if they will not pay? I go outside and get in his car.

You:you woke me up early and the bus wouldn't get here till 7:20

We got to school.We see Zach and go to him.

I had P.E first so I had to go change.I go to the girls lockers room and change quickly before anyone comes in.
I go to the gym and I see the coach.I don't like P.E but I had to go.

I look around the gym to see if there's anyone I recognize.I see Jack,I didn't know he had P.E with me.
We all go outside and run around the field.After that we separated into teams,girls against boys.I look at Jack and he looks at me,we give each other a death stare
As the game goes on,so far the girls have 12 points and the boys 14.Not that bad.One of the girls gets the ball from the boys and throws it to me so I shoot it and we get a point.
The girls ended up winning and Jack gave me a death stare but then laughed and so did I.

You:lets go to lunch.Can't wait to tell Zach and Max

I run to the cafeteria and sit down with Zach and Max(you changed back)

   Maidens of OSU had already taken their spot at the square awaiting the Crown prince's arrival,  each making sure they stood in the most alluring place where the prince wouldn't miss them. It wasnt just for them but also their family. It is a game changer for their entire destiny. No one was ready to miss such opportunity. 

  Mayo and Denle arrived just in time before the prince came. Mayo was so nervous. She felt her stomach growling even though she was not hungry. 

The prince wasn't even there for God's sake!

But still, she couldn't control the feeling. She loved the Prince so much ever since she saw him eight years ago. She had dreamt about a lot of things concerning her life with him which made her skin chisel at the thought. Somewhere in her, she wanted him not to see her. She was worried what he would think if he saw her. Would he find her beautiful? Or would he just overlook her as she was not up to STANDARD? But either way, she wanted him to at least notice her even if he wouldn't pick her. Just knowing that he would see her is enough. She couldn't ask for more. She didn't want to exaggerate and be greedy. 

   Denle tried to get through the crowd so she could open up a space for her friend where she would be noticed. She wanted the Prince to at least look at her even if he wouldn't pick her.

"Denle, I am not sure we will be able to get through. The crowd is taunting and the girls won't give space for us. Let's just wait over here until the prince arrives" Mayo said feeling jittery. Somehow, she was scared to stay at the front. She wasnt used to it.

"No Mayo, we have to get through unless how will he see you? You don't think he has some sort of power where he would be able to see through every one not also forgetting that you are small and short" Denle said in disapproval. She knew how Mayo was. She was timid and easily intimidated even though she wanted that thing badly.

Mayo felt taunted even though she knew Denle was right. 

"Don't you want him to see you?" Denle asked even though she knew the answer.

"Yes I do" Mayo nodded coyly as she replied

"Good. Then we need to get through the crowd or find a place that is less situated"

Denle who was the tall and bold one tried to squeeze out a way for her friend. She even went as far as trying to push the girls who were obstructing the way with their mothers. Mothers were not supposed to be in the front but some mothers decided to take the space so they could prevent other girls from stepping in the front view while giving their daughters a push.

Denle was angered by this. She didn't just have to deal with girls but also their mothers who had no business with the parade today. They were supposed to stay at the back but they were at the front giving courage to their daughters. One particular woman angered Denle. She was fair in complexion, tall and fat. Her skin was beautiful but her character wasnt. She stood close to her daughter who looked like her but slimmer. Of course, she would have prevented her daughter from getting fat while maintaining a good shape. The woman kept moving from one side to another preventing Denle and Mayo from taking a spot. It was a good spot and Denle didn't want to miss it.  If she moved right, the woman would move right, if she moved left, the woman would move left as well. Even though there was enough space for all, she made it seem impossible.

Denle fumed in anger and blurted "Mama, can you stop moving?". The woman ignored her and continued. Denle then forgot her manners and respect and pushed her lightly as she tried to move again. 

" Are you okay? It seems you don't have respect for your elders?" the woman shouted alerting people close by. Denle ignored her and took the spot. She knew she was wrong but she was too frustrated to know who was elder. In Osu, the elders were always right no matter what and shouldn't be questioned. 

The woman was not done. She refused to be disrespected by a small girl. She took Denle's hand and dragged out of there "If you lack manners, go back home and fix it!". Denle wanted to retaliate but Mayo stopped her " Let's just go. You know no one will side us. Let's find another place ". Denle nodded in agreement knowing she was right. But which good spot could she find for her friend. she didn't want Mayo to go unnoticed.

" Where do we go now?" Denle stomped her feet on the ground while looking around. Everywhere had been taken and that spot was the best but they lost it. Mayo didn't know what to do "Let's just go to the back. Soon the dancers would arrive and we can't keep standing here" she said concentrating on the eyes who were watching them. They were standing at the center which was inappropriate. 

Denle then took notice of a tree at the back of the crowd. It was a good spot and no one was there. They would just need to climb the tree a little and the Prince would be able to see them. "Let's go there" she urged. Mayo was a little taken aback. She knew if she wanted the Prince to see her, she would have to climb and she didn't want to seem desperate. She wasn't after his fame, respect or money, she just wanted his love but Denle urged her on. Left with no option, she followed Denle and they both climbed the tree, sitting on it while they waited for the Prince to arrive. Mayo could feel her stomach tinge and shake at the thought of seeing him. It would be the second time she sees him. He hardly came out so she couldn't wait to see how much he had grown in these years.

Prince Damilola, his sister and brother rode in the carriage with guards accompanying them in and out of the ride. There were two guards in the ride while the rest followed them from behind and at the side while walking. His step brothers followed as well from the back. His father wasn't there as there was no need to be.

Damilola's brother Dayo was looking forward to take home many girls. He knew they will be at their best look today. It made him excited. It was the reason he followed his brother unless he wouldn't have bothered. Aba, Damilola's sister and only princess of Osu was just fascinated with the fact that she gets to go outside and see the villagers. She looked forward to the dance that would be presented when they reached the village square and also she wanted so badly to see who the lucky girl her brother was going to pick. She had never been at a parade so the excitement was justified. She looked keenly at the villagers, they looked good and well taken care of. The village was very organized and clean. She had to give kudos to her dad for doing a good work. 

"So brother, which type of girl are you looking forward to picking?" Dayo asked even though he knew that his brother wasn't interested in picking a wife. 

"You know I am not picking anyone. I am just here as it is my duty" Damilola replied maintaining a straight face and avoiding his brother's face.

"I know but won't you pick anyone for tasting?" Dayo smiled mischeviously. Dami turned just in time to look at his smile which further widened. "They will look extremely alluring"

Dami sighed knowing his brother  "I will do want I want to do". 

" Do what you must but I am sure you won't be able to help it when you see them. This charade you are putting on will be torn. Anyways, I am making sure I get enough. I am looking to pick three for this night" Dayo sighed still smiling. There were already some girls walking in the street which he couldn't help but admire. Some of them bowed to greet them as they passed while some ran away out of shyness. Dayo waved at them which made them flustered "Osu girls are one of a kind"

"Don't you think three is too many?" Damilola asked rejuvenating the matter.

"Someone said the more you have, you more younger you will look. To conclude, sex makes you young" 

"And who told you that?"

"Father" Dayo grinned cunningly

Damilola sighed knowing he was right. His father was so shameless and was proud of it.

The ride continued with Dami having to put up with a smile while waving the passersby as they rode to the village square.

On getting to the village square, they were met with dancers who wore unique attires and beads, moving their waist and legs in enticing ways. The dance was neatly performed. Everyone was pleased. The dancers paid their respect to the Prince before they left. The carriage then rode to stay at the center while everyone waited for who the Prince was to pick

The maidens blushed and tried to make themselves more visible for the Prince. They had been preparing for weeks. Some tried waving for the Prince to see them out of desperation which Dami found to be stupid. He knew he wasn't going to pick any wife but that wouldn't mean he won't admire them and try looking for someone to suite him after his birthday. 

 Akun, his older brother and the King's first son was vexed with his attitude. He wasn't on the same carriage but he felt like telling to pick someone. Though he wasnt forced to come, he wasn't happy. He came for the girls and had seen them so why was this the boy who stole his position wasting time? Akun knew Dami wasn't picking anyone so why can't he just move? 

"Come here" Akun called the guard in his ride. "You see those four girls over there, bring them to me this night during the birthday party. I won't be attending" he commanded

"I'm sorry my prince but the king said you are only allowed to take one"

"OK, just bring that girl sitting on the tree for me". Akun knew what he had done so he didn't bother to ask why. He knew why the king has limited him to one girl. He had been reported to be brutal with the girls he slept with which the king hated. Even though he was the king and had the freedom to take in any woman he wanted, married or not married , he didn't like women being forced to do things violently. He loved seducing them. Akun had not only beaten girls that were negatively persistent in pleasing him but also girls who gave themselves willingly. He had been prevented from touching girls for three months now. He had just been allowed so he knew better than to disobey unless this time, he would be put in jail and be tortured which the king would love. He wasn't his FAVORITE after all. 

"Is it the plump one?" the guard asked noticing that were two girls were there.

"No, the slim one. The plump ones always drive me mad. I don't want to run mad and tear them into pieces. If she doesn't agree, force her. I have waited for too long. Do what you must to bring her to me"

"Yes my Prince" he nodded and went back to his position.

Dami kept staring at the girls around. He knew he wasnt picking a wife but he was hoping to taste one this night.

"Oh Dami, will you just pick one already" Dayo wailed. "Please, let's go if you have made up your mind not to test any one. The sun is hot.  I have made my choice already"

Dami ignored and kept searching around. Even though they looked good, they weren't just catching his fancy. They seemed too forward and were looking him straight in the eye. 

Mayo on the other hand couldn't contain herself. She felt like she was going to fall down out of dizziness. He looked so handsome. He had grown up to be very good looking. She couldn't help but blush. She didn't stare at him for long. She looked at him for two seconds at intervals so that he wouldn't catch her staring. Denle was vexed on how the prince stood there not wanting to move or say anything. So she decided to wave as well

"What are you doing?" Mayo asked. She was sweating in her palms because of the nervousness. Her body was already burning at the sight of the Prince. She didn't want him to have the wrong impression of her. She noticed how displeased he was with the girls who waved earlier which made them stop and now Denle was doing the same shamelessly.

"I want him to see you. He is taking our time. I don't think he is going to pick any one if he keeps standing there like that" She continued. Mayo tried toput her hand down.

Prince Damilola then decided to leave seeing no one caught his taste. The maidens were sad. Though it was not the first time a prince would leave without picking someone but they hoped it will be different  this time. Seeing the carriage pause, they sighed in relief hoping he would finally make a pick.

Damilola turned to look somewhere "  Shola, Come here" an 18 year old guard walked close to me. He was Dami's most trusted guard and friend. They had been together since they were young and he took him more as a friend than his personal guard. 

"You see that girl over there? Bring her to me after my birthday party"

"Is it this one?" he pointed subtly making sure that people won't see him

"No, the other one. Get her to me this night. Don't force her if she refuses but looking at her, I am sure she wouldn't. She can't even look me in the eye" he grinned mischievously.

"Yes my Prince"

Dami signalled for the carriage while still looking at the girl. The maidens were displeased. They felt like they had lost it all. Murmuring took over and mothers patted their daughters. They were disappointed that the Prince didn't pick anyone. All their hardwork was thrown ten feet down the ground. 

 
Mayo was also displeased. She thought the Prince was looking at her that was why she refused to meet his eye. For a moment, she thought he would call her but she was wrong. She dreamt too  much, she said to herself

"I can't believe the Prince wasted all our time" Denle fumed in anger.

"Who are you?" Mayo asked squinting to look at the person who saved her.

"My name is Sari and you are my treasure"

On Friday evening, Sam McPherson had a change in plans. He was going to pick up the twins from the music school, for them to spend the weekend at home with the family. Earlier on this day, Sam gave his class a test. Four students flunked the test, and he blamed himself for that unfortunate mishap. So, the professor did what he felt was the right thing to do. He scheduled another session with the four students in the evening. First, he did a better job reviewing the subject matter. Then he gave them the test. While the students worked on it, he called the twins to tell them that he will pick them up early on Saturday. He tried to call them twice, but there was no answer. He finally dropped it. He went to the hallway to drink from the water fountain. When he returned, he sat by the desk, and he found the test results of all four students on his desk. 

“Done, already? Let me check.” After looking at all four test results, he said, “You passed, fellows.” 

“Thank you, sir,” said the students. They left, smiling while Sam nodded. 

On Saturday, Sam left at seven a.m. to pick up the twins. It was a chilly morning, and the traffic was light. Sam was nervous, but he didn’t know why. When he got to the twin’s dorm, he parked the car in front and went to their room. Sam knocked on the door, but there was no answer. He knocked again — still no response. He waited for a few seconds, which seemed like an eternity. Carefully, he turned the handle of the door. The door was unlocked, and he opened it. Sam walked in, and he looked around. The twins partially made the beds, and their purses were sitting on shelves. Sam was confused, and he shook his head; something isn’t right here. Where could the girls be? He sat on one of the beds, thinking. Now he believed he knew what happened; while he drove to pick up the twins, they got a ride home, and they forgot their purses. 

Yes, that must be it. 

Sam called his home. 

“Yes, Sam, what is it?” said Jenny. 

“Are the twins there?” 

“No, they are not. Didn’t you pick the kids up.” 

“Jenny, they must be there because they are not here. Please stop playing games with me.” 

“Sam, I’m not playing games with you.” Sam looked at his phone, what’s wrong? 

“Jenny, I’m going to look around to see if I can find them. If they should show up at home, call me right away.” 

“I will, Sam.” Sam left the twin’s room and looked down the hallway. Two students across the hall left their dorm room, “Sir, what can we do for you?” 

“Yes, I want to talk to you. I’m the father of the twins that are staying in this room. Have you seen them?” The girls looked at each other, and one said, “No, we haven’t seen them. We haven’t seen them all day on Friday. We assumed that they might have gone home early this weekend.” 

“Well, they are not at home. Do you know what could have happened? Why are they not here?” 

“Mister, we just told you we don’t know.” 

“Yes, of course. I’m sorry. It’s not your fault.” The girls looked at each other, and one said, “We could call Jordan Powell. He lives on campus. He might be able to help.” 

“Please do.” One of the girls called, and then she said, “Jordan should be here any minute now. We are going to eat.” 

“Thank you, girls.” Nervously, expecting the worst, Sam waited. Ten minutes later, Jordan Powell arrived, out of breath, “Dr. McPherson, what’s the problem?” Sam looked at Powell in disbelieve, “Do you know that my twins are missing?” Powell gave Sam a look of defiance, “What do you mean? ‘My twins are missing.’” 

“I know what I said, Mr. Powell. I said that my twins are missing.” 

“How can that be. We assumed that your twins went home one day early, Dr. McPherson.” 

“Well, they are not at my home. I’m here to pick them up. Where are they?” Powell looked around in the room, “I guess, they are not here.” 

“Of course, they are not here. What are you going to do about it?” 

“Frankly, Dr. McPherson, I wouldn’t know what to do about it. We never had a case like this in all the years that I have been here.” Sam called Jenny again, and she verified that the twins are still not at home. Now Sam became panicky, “What should I do?” 

“Dr. McPherson, perhaps you should call the police.” Sam looked for a door key for the twin’s room. It was on a shelf, next to a cup. He locked the door and said, “I will call you when I find out something.” 

“Dr. McPherson, if you cannot find the twins, I would suggest that you clean out the room. We need it.” Sam nodded and left like a beaten man and said to himself, “This man has no compassion.” When he returned home, the twins still weren’t there. Sam sat with his wife in the living room and waited until late afternoon. Then he rose and went to his home office. 

“What are you going to do, dear?” 

“I’m going to call one of my old friends from college. He became a private detective, and his name is Stan Mallory. He has an office in the Cleveland area. Perhaps he can help us.”
