Hey, ImBlackMagic here, I'm extremely new to writing and everything could end up in disaster, so please advise me and correct my English errors (it's my second language)...

About updates, well, I promise nothing, I have a full time job, so maybe once or twice a week, depending on my work load there will be some weeks without chapters, but I will let you know if that happens.

The drop of "Divine Wolf or ..." made me want to write this novel, it will take a different route, and probably will be the different adventures John has around this new world, and how his seemingly insignificant actions have enormous repercussions...

a young boy exiled from the wolf tribe for being born with power only the gods should have as a direct descendent from lykos  and Fenrir thought to be an abomination the 12 shape-shifter clans set out to see him eliminated but destiny my have other plans for this little wolf as he is some how found his way in to the mortal world and is now being raised by to humans as their child

"Heard you don't get along with the prince." Carrie mentioned and I frowned. 

"That lion who keeps asking you questions, his names Carno and he's the pride king's younger brother." Ro cleared up for me. 

"He's Leo's younger brother?" I blurted, no wonder he was so annoying and nosy, it must run in the family. 

"You met Leo?" Benjamin spoke softly and quietly, looking surprised and intrigued by my reaction.

"Yesterday, he came to our house." I nodded but frowned at the memory. 

"You don't seem to happy about that." Felix noticed. He didn't seem to have any prejudice about me being a cat, which was nice, but he had Ro as a friend so I suppose he wouldn't of. 

"He took an interest in me." I insinuated and they all raised their eyebrows. "And I didn't." I added and they seemed to sag slightly with relief. "Damn lion practically tried to mate me in my own garden in front of my siblings and parents." I grumbled and they looked at me wide eyed. 

"He liked you that much?" Carrie pushed. 

"He was very 'happy' to see me." I vaguely told them but they seemed to get it. 

"Oh god." Carrie covered her mouth a let out a muffled laugh. "It's not funny, but it also is." she tried to apologize and I shrugged, I wasn't offended. 

"I still don't get your explanation as to why you weren't in gym." Ro spoke.

"My hypothalamus isn't suited to this climate?" I repeated my words. 

"He means he can't regulate his body temperature very well." Benjamin supplied in a gentle tone as he pushed up his glasses. 

"I don't do well in heat." I confirmed. 

"Oh." Ro whispered. 

"What happens if you overheat?" Felix pushed. 

"I have an impromptu nap." I answered. 

"That sounds like that sucks." Carrie sympathised.

"So you can't do gym?" Ro surmised. 

"Not until winter." I affirmed. "Although I can attend if we are indoors in the gym." I remembered the conversation with Mrs Marks from this morning. 

"Do you know why you overheat?" Benjamin prodded.

"My shift." I revealed a bit reluctantly. They all looked slightly surprised at that. 

"But your feline, right?" Ro looked confused, I nodded. 

"Some felines live in colder climates." I reminded him. 

"And your shift if is one of them?" Carrie caught on and I nodded. 

"How cold?" Felix questioned. 

"Like -40." I told them and they shivered at the thought. "I'm very fluffy." I assured. 

"But what cat can live at -40 temperatures." Felix frowned, deep in thought. 

"Your shift can deal with snow." I pointed out. "You're an artic fox right?" 

"How did you know?" he wondered. 

"Good nose." Ro answered for me. 

"Yes but I'm not a feline." Felix refuted. 

"What's your shift?" Benjamin probed shyly, seeming very interested in finding out, but wary, his body curled up on its self, his shoulders hunched. 

"Don't get offended but I would rather keep that to myself." was my answer and they frowned in disappointment. 

"A rare one then." Benjamin guessed and I inclined my head to say yes as my mouth was full again. "A cross-shift?" he probed and I frowned. I kinda liked these guys and so wanted to make an effort but it was a little personal to ask such a thing after just meeting.

"I won't know until I'm eighteen but my family seems to think so." I shrugged. 

"And why do they think that?" Carrie probed. 

"The male gender seems to be interested in me." I informed them.

"Like Leo was?" Carrie pushed and I nodded. 

"Do you have any of the extra's that a cross-shifter has?" Benjamin prodded as he nibbled on a cheese and pickle sandwich. He means nipples. 

"With my fur, it's impossible to tell." I dismissed the thought. 

"When's your birthday then?" Felix asked me. 

"Two weeks, on the 19th." I informed them. 

"That's a few days after Ro's, his is on the 21st. Mines the 14th December, Felix's is March 9th and Benjamin's is the 28th of May." Carrie told me all of their birthdays and I nodded. Lunch finished after that and I went to maths with Benjamin and Ro. It was a typical maths lesson. 

Next I had shifter 101 and all of the shifters went to that. The three of us walked in and sat with Carrie and Felix. There were so many smell's in here, so many different types of shifters, the overwhelming smell gave me a headache and I buried my nose in my arm and leaned over the table. Mr Concolor walked in and the class settled down. We did the introductions and then the register. 

"Since your all seniors and will be turning 18 very soon, I think mates are a good subject to cover." Mr C told us. "Now once a shifter has turned 18, no matter their shift they will see the world differently, and the people in it. Your shift will have transformed into its adult counterpart and will begin to seek out a mate. That will mean new hormones will flood your body so that you and your shift will be able to detect a good candidate for a mate. Just because you have reached maturity doesn't mean you will find a mate straight away, some wait years to find another shifter that feels like a good match, and even then they may not become your mate. Don't just jump for the first person that catches your eye, there are more than one shifter that is compatible with you, some more than others. Hold off on making a brash decision, once mated breaking the bond formed in between two mated shifters is almost impossible and risks killing both of them." he spoke seriously. 

It was why **** was so frowned upon among shifters, it forced the victim to form a bond with the rapist and then they couldn't leave them or risked killing themselves, it was a disgusting thing to do. It was why my actions towards that wolf were never reprimanded and I faced no punishment, shifters had the right to kill any other shifter that tried to mate with them against their will. Jasper said that I did something worse than simply killing the wolf. I prevented him from ever being able to mate with another shifter, he would be able to feel the connection but wouldn't be able to act on it. He would die unmated, he would live a lonely and sad existence. But if I had let him have his way or hadn't stopped him I would feel forced affections towards the wolf, I couldn't be away from him for long and I would of longed for his touch, it was a cruel act to **** another shifter. To feel such hate and yet such love for the same person and be forced to be with someone that abused you for the rest of your life was deplorable and evil. It was what all shifters feared. 

If another shifter raped me I became their mate. They would have a snow leopard for a mate, such a rare and sort after shifter. They would get respect and admiration because of me, high social standing, anything they could ask for: a good and well-paid job, a large and beautiful home, influential friends and attention from high standing shifters. And if I was a cross-shifter like my family thought I would be I would also be able to have their cubs, a rare thing it was before even putting it together with my shift, I would be one in a trillion. It would only make me even more desirable, it was why I hoped I wasn't one. Sure having my own kids would be nice but the attention it would bring, not good. 

"Now generally your mate or potential mates are in the same classification as you in the animal world. The classification system starts off pretty basic." he explained and wrote the word 'kingdom' on the board. "This system starts off by separating the animals from the plants into different kingdoms." he wrote down animal and plant under the word kingdom. "Some scientists believe there are more than two, such as fungi and bacteria but that's irrelevant for our topic. 

Below the kingdoms is the phylum." he writes the word under the other words. "There are three main phylum in the animal kingdom, chordata, arthropoda and mollusca." he writes those three under phylum. "Chordata means animals with a backbone, arthropoda is without a backbone and includes insects and mollusca is obviously animals such as snails." he carried on, writing down class under the other words. "Each phylum is then divided into classes. Classes within the chordata phylum include mammalia, reptilia, osteichthyes and aves among others. Mammalia is mammals, reptilia is reptiles, osteichthyes is fish and aves is birds." he wrote down those for words under class and then wrote the word order under that. 

"The class will then be subdivided into an order. Within the class mammalia, examples of an order include cetacea, which means whales and dolphins, carnivora, which is all carnivores, primates and chiroptera which is bats." he drew arrows and wrote down those four orders underneath. "Next is family." he wrote down the word. "Within the order of primates, families include hominidae, which is apes and humans, cercopithecidae such as baboons and hylobatidae which are gibbons and lesser apes. And the last two are genus and species." he wrote them both down at the bottom. "Now these generally go hand in hand in naming a specific animal. Humans for example have the genus Homo and the species Sapiens, but generally you would call them Homo-sapiens and not just sapiens. This classification system is so useful because those two names, the genus and species, are generally sufficient to differentiate from one organism to the next, it also shows what animals are closely related to one another by being in the same genus."

"Now back to mates, your most definitely going to be in the same kingdom and phylum, but after that you could be in different classes, orders or families and be of different genera and species, although being in different classes is very rare.

Generally it is most common to be in the same family as your potential mates and quite a few of them will be in the same genus as you or even the same species. This is due to compatibility. The closer two mates are biologically the higher the chances of producing offspring." Mr C continued. 

"Now most mate pairings will be male and female, although some rare ones will be male to male. This is only possible if one of the males is a cross-shift, which means they have both the female and male reproductive organs. There is no test or way of knowing if a male is a cross-shift until they reach adulthood, but there can be some physical hints, for example teats on their shift for mammals. The only way of really knowing for shifts in general though, is that after they turn 18 they will begin to have periodic heats like females would. The reason why there is no female to female mates is due to reproduction, the whole purpose of finding a mate is to have offspring, the bond and affection are just there to make sure that happens." Mr C finished. 

"How romantic." Carrie commented and I snorted in amusement. 

"Any questions?" Mr C asked the class. A girl put her hand up and he nodded at her to ask her question. 

"Why are some shifts rarer than others?" she questioned and he frowned, that's a tough one. 

"Generally shifts that coexist with others of their kind like in packs or prides are more common due to safety in numbers. But the amount of offspring a shift can have also plays a part, some only have one offspring at a time, whereas others can have a lot more. Generally a shifts prevalence reflects their animal counterparts in the wild, so endangered animals in the wild are generally quite rare shifts. Some are also geological, aquatic shifts generally live near water, and artic animals will generally live in cold areas. So generally you wouldn't see a polar bear shifter walking around in Africa or a dolphin shifter in the middle of the desert." he explained. "Some others are rare due to illegal poachers, both the animal counterparts and shifts face this problem, although most humans are accepting of us some kill us for sport or simply out of hate or due to their lack of understanding."

"I know that feeling." I mumbled and Ro sent me a sympathetic look.

"Right we've got about..." he checked his watch." ...15 minutes left, why don't you socialise in your shifts till the end of class." Mr C suggested and I sighed. Everyone got up and pushed the desks to the edges of the room. The predator shifts shifted into their animal forms eagerly but the prey ones were a little more reluctant. Ro gave me a smile before shifting into a huge melanistic Jaguar, so I was right. His shift was the strongest big cat in the world and it showed, a jaguar was smaller than a tiger or lion but made up for it in muscle. His foam-green eyes looked up at me and his slender tail flicked in a friendly manner at me, he was a sight for sure. "Not shifting Mr Unica?" Mr C stood beside me and prodded. 

"I'm exempt." I reminded him, crossing my arms. He frowned at that and went back to his desk to look at my paperwork no doubt. I knelt down on the floor and held out a hand, Ro sniffed and snuffed at me before knocking his powerful head against it. I ran my hand down his sleek and smooth coat and earner loud snuffing, it was a friendly sound, Jaguars couldn't purr so they made a soft snorting sound instead. Carrie rubbed against my back in her Caracal form, her tan coat and large ears very distinctive. Mr C walked back over, looking disappointed.

"You are indeed exempt." he stated. "But not shifting is only going to make everyone even more curious as to what you are." he pointed out and I gave him a cold look, really? Ro snuffed at me and nudged my hand, I scratched him behind his ears as I talked to Mr C. Ro snuffed in appreciation and I felt Carrie's body rub against mine again and I let out a quiet prusten in greeting, not wanting so seem rude ignoring her, she purred back and licked the hand that wasn't stroking Ro. 

"I'm not shifting, **** is not on my to do list today." I stated matter of factly and he blinked in surprise at my impolite and blunt words. 

"Don't be rude Mr Unica, my students have more control than that." he scolded me and sent me a disappointed look. 

"So whatever shift I may be, cross or not, you believe they will not make any advances towards me?" I pushed. 

"They are all under 18 and consent has been drilled into every single one of them." he informed me proudly and I sighed. 

"Could I speak to you outside for a moment?" I requested and he gave me a look but nodded and headed towards the door. I looked down at Ro and gave him one last scratch before rising to my feel and following the teacher. We both walked out of the classroom and I closed the door behind us.

In a world where shifters exist; a human and an animal sharing one body. A world where each of those shifters can choose a mate to spend the rest of their lives with, but the decisions forever, once mated that's it, so choose wisely. 

Nobu isn't your average shifter, but he wants to be. What you are and what you can do is very important in shifter society, the animal side of you, or your shift can set you up for life, same goes with your mate. That's why most shifters find their mates shift very important when deciding who it will be, some don't though, some are just looking for love.

It turned out that there were some things that could actually be gained by waiting.

On the smaller island, the 'heart' of Russell's small Kingdom of two islands, lived one human, one seagull and a whole bunch of flies.  Said flies had appeared after Russell earned a particular achievement, not one worth mentioning, he'd rather forget about it.  Those flies had multiplied and had moved beyond their original breeding grounds, also known as a dunny or poo hole, nearly infesting the whole island.  Russell couldn't recall what it was like to try fall asleep without the sound of buzzing in his ear.

A scream that would not have sounded odd coming from a bedroom with pink walls and decorated with unicorn themed things echoed throughout the island.

Russell shuddered, scrubbing out the inside of the slightly damaged cast iron kettle for the third time, making sure there were no more signs of the spider which had moved in over night.  He used the torch light of his smartwatch to make sure he hadn't missed anything before filling it with water to heat for his meal.  Looking at the remaining packets of noodles, he broke one in half with a sigh, wanting to make it last longer.  Fortunately, he'd found apple trees on the other island and harvested a few.  These and the wild vegetables helped pad his stomach, keeping him reasonably well fed.

[Reward; Season change, it is now summer.]

Around him, many plants began to bolt and bloom.  Dandelions produced their yellow flowers and the milk thistles stretched tall to offer a vivid purple amongst the green.  The whole island had a new look about it.

Russell thought about the concept of seasons changing on the island, that he'd always labelled a bit on the tropical side.  Could before even be considered as spring?  Wasn't everything just green and warm before?  There had been no tree blossoms and the apples on the other island had been ripe, hinting that there it had been autumn… damn fucked up game…

He soon found, though, there was a difference between whatever season it had been before and the new summer season.

"Your Majesty, you've almost finished fixing the roof on the village chief's house, don't delay now!" the seagull nagged as it came to find Russell, who'd hidden in the shade of a large tree.

"Can't move," Russell lamented, spreadeagled out on the ground.  "Too hot!"  His once slightly reddened cheeks, warmed by the sun prior to the season change were now part of a tomato red face.  Only the skin usually sheltered by blond bangs was still creamy white.

The second island had reversed in time to join the season of the first.  The apples had shrunk to the size of his smaller than average palms and were no longer sweet.  Some of the wild vegetable leaves had grown tougher, less tender, so although they'd not been enjoyable to eat before, they were horrible now.  But he was saving his last pack of noodles for his birthday… which should be in the autumn… if autumn ever comes…

He finished eating as much as he could of his 'soup' and 'salad', before tossing the rest in the 'rubbish' hole, which conveniently was not too far from the dunny.

Wait, he remembered something, simians, primates, homo… so he unlocked gay apes?  That didn't sound right!  Wait, damn autocorrect!

Another girly scream filled the air, drowning out the sounds of waves crashing onto the beach.

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

“And this Kingdom was prosperous and peaceful, mighty and fair?”

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

“And after I died, you, the System, were sent by God to watch over the Kingdom so it continued to prosper, right?”

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

“But somehow, you deleted it??”

"Students, today I've decided that we will be going on a practical research this Thursday. For our next topic 'phylum Chordata' I've arranged for these animals to be brought to school and they'll be arriving early tomorrow, so be prepared, bring questions and study ahead so you'll be able to understand more when you see them. That is all" Mrs Serena said
"Thank you ma'm" we answered as the bell rang and we all left the class. Another practical I sighed, last one we did was on Kingdom plantae and it sure was boring. We've already treated this topic before but I guess she wants us to still get further understanding by using the practicals, either way we'll be seeing different creatures I'd better read so I can remember their classes and their General charscteristics
"Nora, why aren't you saying anything" I asked as we walked to our next class
"Didn't you hear what Mrs Serena said?
There will be animals in the school and the last time I checked a snake is classified under class Reptilia" she shivered
"Yeah so, you don't like snakes?"
"Ofcource I don't like them why would i when I shiver just by hearing the word Snake! They're flat bellied devils that can just crawl up on your body and twist you all the way and choke you out of breath kiaaah! No no, I've got to feign a sickness or something I can't go to that practical" she shook her head repeatedly
"That's s bit harsh considering they're animals just like the rest but I'm sure we can figure something out, just maybe you can hide at the back"
"No! I don't ever want to see a real snake, I've never seen one and I don't want ever want to see one! Ever!" She shouted.
"Okay okay I get it! No snakes they're creepy and Venomous but frogs are too but you just hate snakes i get that, I can tell Mrs Serena that you fell Ill does that solve your problem?"
"Yes, yes it does so thank you" she smiled
"No problem, so long as you won't freak beside me when you see a snake" I sighed
"What about you? Don't you have an animal you just abhor??" She asked
"Well... You see those black and brown things with long tails that run around the garage at night? Yes I don't like them"
"You mean rats?"
"Don't don't... Don't say their names out loud it makes my ears cringe" I shouted as I had already closed my ears when she said Ra
"Ha! You don't like rats. Cute furry beings with funny whiskers and you don't like them. You must be a hater, did you even watch Tom and Jerry?"
"Yeah I did and I love Jerry!... The cartoon not the real life brothers and sisters of Jerry" I hissed
"Rightt and you're aware that some rats are going to be present tomorrow?"
"What?" I cringed yet again
"Class Mammalia, rats are warm blooded animals covered with hairs, two pair of limbs, reproduction is sexual and fertilization is internal with a four chambered heart and a well developed brain. Duh ofcourse rats are going to be there on Thursday" she rolled her eyes
"Well... Well a Lion fits that description quite well so there's a possibility that it wouldn't be a... A... "
"Say it Katie" she teased
"I can't! besides you know what I'm talking about"
"Okay, it could even be a bunny" she said
"And instead of snakes it could be a Lizard or a baby crocodile"
"Yes, well there's only one way we can find out. Lets meet up with Mrs Serena after class tomorrow and ask for a list of the animals we would be doing a research on this Thursday then maybe we'll know if we should feign sickness or enjoy the practical"
"Yeah, good idea. I bet some girls are afraid of Chickens" I laughed
"Ohhh I totally forward that motion too, we are so going to have fun on Thursday but we just need to make sure we don't fall victims to our classmates laughter because I seriously freak out when I see a picture of a snake, talk less of the real thing" Nora rubbed her arms
"Me too" I sighed, I'd seriously not want the beau sharing giggles because I can't hold or touch a freaking Ra... No no way I tried, Ra is the best I can do, leave it there but atleast you get what I'm saying
Next day... 
Biology class...
"I hope you all are excited for the practical tomorrow! Its going to be fun and educational" Mrs Serena cheered and the class just answered her with a dull "yey"
I guess we all have figured out that tomorrow is going to be kind of the worst day since we'll be confronting really dangerous animals all in the name of knowledge but luckily me and Nora have a plan to counter this unfortunate adventure 
After classes we went ahead to see Mrs Serena 
"Mrs Serena hi, I'm Nora Haaland and I'd like to know what kind of animals we should be expecting tomorrow like are they dangerous? Any snakes? Rats? Crocodile?"
Mrs Serena laughed "actually yes, everything you've mentioned is what you'll encounter tomorrow but don't worry, they're confined in very safe cages which aren't harmful to them or us so we'll just be passing by and observing their behaviors and physical features" she smiled
"So are we touching any of the animals?" I asked
"Why yes you'll have to touch then to feel the scales and hairs on their body, some of the major reasons why they're classified under phylum Chordata"
"But why if they just bite us or like spit venom out of their mouths?" I asked kind of worried
"The snake has been defanged and I'm sure the rest won't bite, the frog isn't poisonous at all so I don't see any cause for alarm"
"Oh okay, what of someone came down with an illness before practical tomorrow?"
"I know you kids that's the excuse half of your classmates gave me yesterday and today so they wouldn't come to practical. If someone comes down with any sort of illness then I'll have to recieve a report from the nurse clarifying such illness, until you bring valid proof of your illness I want to see you there 10am tomorrow. I hope you aren't going to feign a sudden tummy ache like your classmates" she gave us a stern look. 
"No ma'm!" We replied and then we immediately walked out. 
Trouble in Paradise...
During dinner... 
"Why Are you guys so quiet?" Maja guestered to me and Nora
"Tomorrow my eyes are going to defiled!" Nora said with horror
"Tomorrow my hands will be defiled!" I said
"Okay what's all this nonsense of defiling its just freaking animals, you'll survive" Sophia said and we shivered
"You'll have to deal with it your selves, just calm down and stay at the back of the class. That's what I want to do when its my classe's turn" Liam said
"Let's stay very close to each other and never let go no matter what. Nora whatever happens tomorrow just know that I love you and I didn't mean to die by a rat bite" I sighed
"Hey, you said rat! That's great you're already getting rid of your fear, and also if that snake strangles me tell my mum and pa I love them. I love you guys too, this is the end" and then we hugged each other and cried a little bit while the others rolled their eyes

"This is it Nora, don't die"
"You too, don't die on me" we said and clasped our hands together as we walked into the practical room
and stared at the whole place, it looked like a mini jungle, more like a little petting zoo. their cages were big and decorated with green leaves, the snake scared Nora so much my arm suffered from her tight grasp, they seperated each animals according to their classes in the phylum. They even arranged a small river for the crocodile, thank heavens its a baby croc.
After we had all gathered, Mrs Serena commenced her teachings, we took down notes and then it was time to touch the animals, just as we predicted many girls shouted immediately the chicken started flapping its feathers, Nora refused to touch the snake and I refused to touch the rat. we have seen our fears and faced them but we refuse to touch them. the parrot was my favorite one
I sang up town funk and the parrot sang along with me, it was like a small concert and we had fun it wasn't so bad after all, we got to touch the webbed feet of a frog and even watch it make those frog noises, the practical was a success even though I almost peed my pants when someone said the rat went missing luckily it was just a prank so thank heavens again or else I might have not made it out alive... Lol

He instinctively touched his face and realized it was full of blood and pus. His scalp felt numb and he was sure his face had been disfigured, even though he did not have a mirror to check. He kept on cursing, the thought of his disfigured face making him angry. Since the mutation outbreak had happened, he’d never gotten such a bad injury, even though he’s gotten into a lot of fights. It had been quite dangerous, but he had always been the winner and he’d suffered minor injuries at worst. He had won most of the battles, so he was extremely mad to get injured now. His anger turned into motivation to kill.

These organisms were like big computers with very basic operating systems. You could control them as long as you had the ability to hack them. The corrosive earthworm was fully controlled by Luo Yuan as its body became a shell without a soul. Luo Yuan kept cutting it, even after the knife had stopped shining. 

It was too late for the earthworm to realize why its brain had gone blank. Its body had already been cut into numerous pieces and its internal organs were flowing out under the pressure of its thoracic cavity. The air was filled with an awful, choking smell. The worm twisted a few times until it stopped struggling. The massive blood loss was making it weaker. No matter how strong it was, it couldn’t survive under the circumstances. A few minutes later, the system beeped.

Luo Yuan was relieved when he heard the sound of the system. His furious energy immediately faded away. Suddenly, the awful stench of the dead worm made him puke. When he stopped retching, he got up from the ground and looked at the worm’s parts. He felt horrified. He could not believe that it had just let him kill it without even trying to escape.

He suddenly seemed to remember something. He touched his face and realized there were several holes with blood on it. It was horrible. He could even put his finger into the holes. His face was extremely itchy. He could not bear it and just started scratching his skin. The more he scratched, the itchier he got. He got frustrated and scratched even harder. He even scratched some of his skin off while he kept bleeding. Fear crept into his head as he lost control of his mind. He was unable to control his emotions anymore. He began to run around like crazy.

“Luo Yuan! Where are you?” Suddenly, he heard Huang Jiahui’s voice.

Luo Yuan was surprised and happy at the same time. “I’m here! Please, come over here!”

A moment later, Huang Jiahui drove over in the Desert Eagle, along with Huang Yuying and Wang Shishi, who both looked terrified. Huang Jiahui had only stayed in the underground  chamber for a few minutes before she’d begun to feel worried. After a short hesitation, she couldn’t wait anymore and decided to go find Luo Yuan. Huang Yuying tried to stop her, but she failed, so she was forced to follow her. She was aware of her own situation. It was clear that all her effort to gain their trust would be wasted if she stayed in the chamber. Everyone would shun her. Perhaps not even Huang Jiahui would help her anymore. Nobody would keep around someone who only cared about themselves in a critical situation. What reason did she have to stay safe while everyone was out, trying their best to make things work? 

Although Huang Jiahui was scared and she really did not want to go out, she’d much rather take that risk rather than get abandoned again. She walked very fast until she finally found Luo Yuan in the mist. She was shocked at how pitiful he looked. “What happened to your face?” she asked. Wang Shishi screamed upon she seeing him.

“What’s wrong with my face?” Luo Yuan asked, grabbing Huang Jiahui’s hand. Their reaction made him nervous.

“It’s full of blood!” Huang Jiahui said anxiously.

“Am I disfigured?” Luo Yuan asked nervously. He looked close to tears.

“I’m not sure, there’s poisonous mist everywhere. Let's get back home first.” Huang Jiahui helped him up and supported him. She felt that something was wrong with Luo Yuan. Although people usually tended to get super nervous about their faces getting disfigured, Luo Yuan was not that kind of person. The way he’d reacted had reminded her of an extremely vain woman.

Huang Yuying wanted to laugh, but she did not dare to. Although Luo Yuan looked quite hideous with all that blood on his face, she would not have felt any less nervous if he’d looked like a normal person. She hesitated for a moment before she moved forward to help him. A high-pitch sound penetrated the sky like a car honk being pressed continuously.
