An online virtual world has appeared with over 35+ games. It is a dream of many players around the world. However...

Playing Knighthood Online somehow helps me in releasing my stress. Before, I cannot understand why my students would waste away their money and time just to play games. But now, well I still don't understand why they chose their online life in the expense of a more productive and meaningful life that they can have had they given more time for studying, but I can say that somehow I understand why they play.

I believe in the saying "Walk the talk", so back when I was still not playing and add the fact that we experienced first-hand the effect of playing online games with Theo back then, I would always nag at my students about reasons on why they should not waste their time and money in playing games. There were even times when I argue with my male colleagues slash friends who also play online games. And so, now that i have my own online game to play, do you think I will announce it to everyone? I say no! That would be a big slap to my face. I know that's cowardice, but who cares? And so, to atone for my cowardice, I stopped nagging others about what they do. 

But then again, things don't always go according to plan, right? A few days after the incident with my sword, we classroom advisers had a short meeting with our principal, Mr. Tan. It was to announce that on our next homeroom session, the Parents Teachers Association of our school requested that we discuss the issue about students playing online games and its impact in their social and academic life.

I cringed. Of all topics, why this one? It's not like I can say to my students that it is better to stop playing online games while in fact I'm also playing myself. I will just feel guilty and my message will definitely not come out as sincere. I looked at some of my male colleagues who I knew play games. What are they going to speak in front of their class? Should I approach them and ask them? But that would give away my secret. I am starting to feel stress and anxiety building up. Then I heard whispering from some of my fellow teachers seated in front of me.

"You know I just learned from my class president that more than half of the boys in our class do not eat snacks and sometimes skips lunch just to have enough money to play online games." Said the one directly in my front. She is Mrs. Yap, and she is talking to Ms. Cruz.

"That's almost the same case in my class. These kids, they should learn to manage their time well and prioritize more on what is really important."

"That's true. All they do is play games and their studies are being neglected."

Hey, that's an idea. I don't have to be too guilty if what I'll discuss with my class is about time management and prioritizing what is more important, which is their study. They kept whispering about other stuff but since I already have an idea of what I will discuss I stopped listening.

The day of our homeroom class.

Usually, I use this time to let my students watch short videos about different topics then at the end of the video I let them discuss what they watched. There are also times where I prepare games to let the students have some physical activity once in a while. So when I entered the room, everyone is so hyped up and is eager to know what their activity will be for today.

I searched for a video in the internet showing how playing online games in an excessive period of time affects the life of the players and the people around them. I specifically searched for a video which did not suggest stopping players on playing their games.

"Alright, everybody take your seat. I have here a video which I want you to watch carefully." I looked around as the students prep themselves on their seats ready to start with the video. "After this, just like before, we will have an open discussion of your thoughts about what you will watch. Are you ready?"

"Yes Teacher!"

"Ok, here it is." Then I clicked the play button.

"Can i have my sibling join our guild?"
"Is your sibling a girl?"
"How old is she?"
"Is she cute?"
"Can I woo her?"
"Should I start calling you brother in law now?"

"..." Seriously, these people are nuts.

Everything and everyone relies on the technology now. From a simple purchase to a life machine. Flying cars. Automated doors everywhere. A simple identification card that is equivalent to your own whole life.

And weirdly, people became so addicted with online games.

they're not the simple single-player games anymore. Now, its more larger in population and more promises of an adventure. People buy NerveGear everyday. Companies launch games every 2 months and update every week. The talk of the town are always about the newly launch game or the worst reviewed game ever.

and the world exploded when the top game maker, Neon tech, launched their biggest game of all time: Everett Online.

The game was already announced a year ago and everyone was excited. Especially since Neon Tech's previous game, Project Power, became a hit. People became excited with trailers, sneak-peeks ad when a snippet of the game design was posted online. Everybody went crazy.

For a year, The news spread fire. Every posts the company makes on social media became viral. People then started to earn or save money. To buy the latest NerveGears and stuff so that their gameplay would be smooth.

And finally, after 22 years of waiting, Everett Online was launched.

People waited outside main stores. Five hours after the launch, more that 100 stores already lost stock. A day after the launch, it was sold out.

Everyone was excited. Because it was the start of their new adventure. A chance to make their own legacy.

[A VIRTUAL REALITY MMORPG STORY]

Set in the future where the world relies a lot in technology, online games became a hit. From kids to seniors, everyone owns a gear. Everyone plays. But not Cooper. He hates it. He would rather die than play one. That's why imagine he was shock when his movie gear welcomed him into a game.

[Everett is now online. Welcome, Player!]

There were no players who could defeat Gu Ning in the game, so she won all the time.
Battle in the Sky was becoming more and more attractive now, and many players left positive comments on it. Although not everyone liked it, it still became the most popular online game within a short time.
This caused many game developers to become jealous of High-speed Tech, and some of them began to scheme against it. 
There were many online games nowadays, but only a few of them could gain popularity, and most of them would be replaced and ignored after several years.
Players had too many choices and they always wanted to try something new. Accordingly, Battle in the Sky stole many players away from other online games. Because the number of people who played games stayed stable, the competition among online games was cruel.
Some other popular online games might not mind it, because they still had a lot of loyal fans, but it was terrible news for those online games which struggled to gain attention from the players. They didn't have loyal fans, so they were easily abandoned by the players.
Business was like a battlefield without smoke.
Commercial competition referred to the process in which commodity operators with independent economic interests competed with each other in order to obtain more market shares and higher economic benefits. The company brand was the core element of commercial competition.
The main content of commercial competition: 1. Product competition. 2. Competition for business elements. 3. Service competition. 4. Price competition. These were all normal business competitions, and most businesses competed with each other legally.
On the other hand, abnormal commercial competition was the use of unfair competition methods, such as: 1. Using counterfeiting to engage in market transactions and damaging competitors; 2. Commercial bribery. 3. Misleading and false propaganda. 4. Acts that infringe on trade secrets. 5. Operators selling goods at prices below cost for the purpose of squeezing out competitors. 6. Conditional transactions. 7. Acts of rewarding sales that violated regulations. 8. Damage to the reputation of competitors. 9. Acts of unfair competition in bidding. 10. Acts of compulsory transactions by public companies or other operators who had a monopoly in accordance with the law. 11. Acts of the government and its subordinate departments abusing administrative power to restrict competition.
Abnormal commercial competition was definitely illegal, and as long as there was clear evidence, businesses which were involved in it would be punished according to the law. If it wasn't serious, they only needed to pay a fine or compensation. However, when it was serious, they could be sentenced to years in jail or even to death.
The richer a businessman was, the more he was afraid to be involved in trouble, because he could lose everything once he got in trouble. Accordingly, smart businessmen were unwilling to compete illegally, unless they were confident that they would be safe. However, some businessmen were good at making money, but didn't have moral standards. 
After all, there were all kinds of men in this world. Some were reasonable, while some weren't. Some had a good temper, while some had a bad temper. Anyway, different businessmen had different ways of running their businesses.
For example, Battle in the Sky became the most popular online game, and the majority of other game developers were jealous of it. Most of them were thinking to compete legally, a few of them directly gave up competing because they knew they couldn't win, while several of them decided to try to compete illegally.
Actually, if every businessman competed with his opponents illegally, the global business would be in chaos. It wasn't easy to compete illegally either, and it was very complicated in reality.
Tianhe Technology used to have the idea of playing a dirty trick to defeat High-speed Tech, but it didn't think it could win, so it gave up in the end. However, although Tianhe Technology gave up, there was another game company which tried to scheme against High-speed Tech.
It was Windwheel Technology
Windwheel Technology told a hacker to hack into the computer system of High-speed Tech, to try to destroy the programming of Battle in the Sky.
It was necessary to protect and maintain the system after a game was released. Nobody wanted the game to have a problem when a considerable amount of game players were enjoying it.
The hacker of Windwheel Technology was very skillful, but he was still no match for K and his friends. K and his friends were top hackers in the world after all.
With the help of K's team, the computer system of the Shengning Organization had the strictest security in their country.
Even if a hacker might be able to hack into their computer system, K and his friends would soon find out. Therefore, K found out that the hacker was from Windwheel Technology once he detected something abnormal.
Without hesitation, K installed a minor virus to Windwheel Technology's computer system, which made it useless for a whole hour. K even left lines of words on the screens of their computers to warn them not to be so stupid.
All the staff of Windwheel Technology was scared and didn't dare to attack High-speed Tech again.
Although it was only a minor virus, they couldn't do anything to remove the warning off the screens of their computers.


She was once a puppet to her family, a commercial spy and assassin pursued by the police. One day, she falls into the sea after being betrayed. 

When she wakes up again, she is an ordinary third year student in high school. Due to her ignoble past and the ostracization of her relatives, she has always been bullied by her classmates, partly due to her being a loner. 

With her gaining a new lease of life, she undergoes a massive change, returning any bullying she received in the past. With a powerful cheat, a pair of telepathic jade eyes, she is able to easily appraise jade and succeed at gambling.

She starts a business, becoming a legendary businesswoman. There's no need to talk about people who previously mocked her for being poor when they see her billion-yuan net worth. When relatives visit to cozy up with her, they are denied. We are no longer related to one another. Return to whatever foul place you came from!

Days are good, except for an easily jealous man beside her. For no good reason, she ends up aching all over, especially in her nether regions, all thanks to him. 

This is a story whose male and female leads are both strong and untainted.

"This is it…" Tian Yun stood before a gaming cafe with 10 dollars in his grasp. "Once I spend the last moments of my life playing video games, I will finally be able to escape from this miserable life."
When he was 13 years old, Tian Yun's parents had kicked him out of the house for not meeting their unrealistic expectations, and he has been homeless since then.
Although he's managed to struggle for five whole years without any support, Tian Yun has finally had enough of this kind of life and decided to commit suicide today.
However, before killing himself, he wanted to experience the only thing in life that gave him happiness, which was playing video games, hence why he is at the gaming cafe at this moment.
After taking a moment to calm himself, Tian Yun stepped into the gaming cafe.
"Hello. Welcome to the Heavenly Gaming Cafe. How long do you plan on playing?"
A beautiful lady in her early twenties asked him after noticing him walk in.
"How long can I play with 10 dollars?" Tian Yun placed the money on the counter.
"2 hours," she replied.
"Okay." Tian Yun nodded.
"Is this your first time here?" The lady asked him.
He nodded.
"Then you will have to register as a member before I allow you to play here. What's your name?" she asked.
"Tian Yun."
"How old are you?"
"18 years old."
"Would you like to upgrade your membership to a premium membership for an extra 15 dollars a month? You will get unlimited refills at the soda fountain and 4 hours of gameplay for free every month. You will also get to use the high-end computers."
"No, thank you…" Tian Yun shook his head. After all, he won't be returning after today.
A few moments later, the lady behind the counter handed him a grey card and said, "Here's your membership card. There's 2 hours inside, and you'll need to slide it into the slit on the keyboard before you can play. As for your computer… you can pick whichever one is open at aisle 1 to 7. The rest is only for premium members."
"Thank you…" Tian Yun accepted the card before walking deeper into the cafe.
'What a strange kid.' The lady thought to herself after Tian Yun walked away.
Although Tian Yun was wearing ragged clothes and smelled a bit funny, she didn't think he was homeless, since they normally don't go to gaming cafes.
After walking around for a few minutes, Tian Yun found a place to sit in the corner of the room in aisle 7. There was nobody else there, so he didn't have to worry about bothering other people.
Once he sat down, Tian Yun inserted the membership card into the keyboard and booted up the computer.
A few moments later, once the computer was fully booted, Tian Yun stared at the bright screen with a dazed face.
'It has been 5 years since I last sat before a computer…'
Tears flowed down Tian Yun's cheeks as he recalled the memories he had when he lived a carefree life playing video games all day.
Many minutes have passed, yet Tian Yun did not move.
There were over a dozen games on the screen but he did not know which one he should play.
After looking around, one of the games caught his attention — it was an icon of a sword with wings. Even though he has never played it before, it had a familiar-looking icon, almost like he'd seen it before.
"Heaven Online?"
Tian Yun finally recalled why the icon looked so familiar. After all, there were advertisements for this game everywhere. It was practically impossible to walk a single street without seeing or hearing about 'Heaven Online'.
And to nobody's surprise, one month after its global release, Heaven Online had become the most popular game in the world, even making history with over a billion concurrent players online worldwide.
"If I recall correctly, Heaven Online is the sequel for Spirit Online, the most popular gaming before Heaven Online. I used to be addicted to that game�� which is one of the reasons why I was kicked out in the first place…" Tian Yun sighed.
After staring at Heaven Online for a few minutes, Tian Yun navigated the mouse and opened the game.
But since he did not have an account, he had to create a new one.

The first thing that popped up was this question, and Tian Yun clicked 'yes'.

Most games nowadays required one's social security number in order to play the game, limiting every person to one account, so Tian Yun did not hesitate to answer the question.

After putting 8 SP into Agility and 2 SP into Strength, Tian Yun continued to customize his character. However, since his character was transferred from Spirit Online, he could just reuse his previous appearance.
"I don't have the time to be picky with my looks…" Tian Yun quickly confirmed the character. If he were to spend time changing his appearance, that alone would use up most of his time on the membership card.
By the time Tian Yun finished his character creation, he had 1 hour and 40 minutes left on the computer.
Once he was inside the game, he was greeted by a quick tutorial for the game.

[If you have played 'Spirit Online' before, then you have already played 'Heaven Online'. Although there are many new features and changes to the quality of life, the core gameplay and foundation in 'Heaven Online' is the same as 'Spirit Online'.]
"Wow. This game is basically Spirit Online!" Tian Yun was delighted. Since he was very experienced with Spirit Online's gameplay, he could already be considered an expert in Heaven Online, saving him a lot of time trying to learn the game.
After familiarizing himself with the controls, Tian Yun looked at the skills for his class.
Although the character was only level 1, he had 3 Ability Points and five skills he could unlock.
Once he looked through all of the skills, Tian Yun unlocked the skill 'Dodge', 'Backstab', and 'Slash', using all of his AP.
[Dodge(Active): 5 seconds cooldown. Consumes 20 Stamina. Dodging will make the character briefly untouchable. If a Perfect Dodge is achieved, the cooldown of 'Dodge' is reduced to 1 second and refunds 10 Stamina to the user.]

"Hmm? What's this?"
Tian Yun suddenly noticed the mail icon on the top right of the screen and clicked on it.
Once the Mail screen opened, he was greeted by 3 presents inside.

As for the last mail, it contained a badge made of a mysterious black material that flickered like the starry sky.

"Some potions, a weapon, and a mysterious badge, huh." Tian Yun did not think too much about the presents he'd just received, as he did not think that it was unique to him. In fact, he thought that everyone who had played Spirit Online before would receive these items.
After equipping the dagger that had a majestic appearance and a slight glow around it, resembling a piece of end-game equipment, Tian Yun wandered around the area, which was known as the Beginner's Area.
A few moments later, Tian Yun approached an NPC that was sitting beside a water fountain and had an exclamation mark on him.
"Hello, young hero. I can sense a mysterious aura around you." The NPC automatically spoke to him once he got close enough. "I have a feeling that you will become a great figure in the future. However, even the brightest heroes start from the bottom, so why don't you help me hunt some of the monsters around the town?"
