Done thinking about Jagger and his older brother...with only a few minutes to spare, she gets out of her room and went to Hannah's room. She had not visited the woman after that stressful event outside the Facility.
She found the pregnant woman lying in her bed, looking sad and depressed. Based on Hannah's despondent look, things didn't go well with her and Zain after she rescued them from the forest. When it comes to Zain and Hannah, she still has to see them bonded strongly together so that whatever problems they encountered along the way they have to stick together just for the sake of their unborn child. "Hi Hannah!" she greeted her with a bright smile trying to cheer her up.
"Hi Jess," Hannah responded unable to muster a smile of her own, there were dried tears on her face, she just finished crying, each time she stops crying she has to remind herself that loving Zain is never easy, looks like she will have to wait for eternity before he can learn to love her.
"Hey, why are you sporting that kind of look? Oh, I see—are you crying? Something wrong—? " Jessy asked.
Hannah released a deep sigh of defeat. "I'm very sad and heartbroken that Zain is using me again just to make me do things on his bidding," she confesses.
Jessy breathed deeply and fell into deep silence. Looks like Zain can't still get over her and the affection he showered Hannah was just fake all along just to take advantage of her. For someone like Hannah who loves Zain unconditionally it can be a painful stab on her heart, well, she can't blame the girl because she was just blindly loving a person who is also blindly loving another woman who's heart belong to another guy.
Sigh.
It's a roller coaster ride of emotions and difficult situations between four people who's heart only beat for a specific someone.
Sometimes, she thinks that Zain will never be able to accept Hannah, forcing Zain to love Hannah won't work. Zain has yet to develop even a tiny piece of affection towards Hannah, maybe Zain can't do it because she was still alive, he simply can't learn to forget her.
Zain and Hannah shared a sexual relationship before...that doesn't even matter to him. Now she realized that men can have a sexual relationship with other women even if there are no feelings of real love involved, it's all about lust forZain but for Hannah, she was doing it because she loves the prince so much. Whoa! Jessy rolled her eyes with Hannah's question. "Enough of feeling sad and depressed, Hannah. You have to love yourself a little more from now on, okay?" she said.
Hannah nods her head. "Okay..."
"No matter what happened, don't transfer your power to him? You know why—right?" Jessy reminded her.
"Yes, I know," Hannah nodded her head.
"That's good, I just want to remind you that no matter how he sweet-talked you in transferring your power to him, always remember that he can do great damage if he regains his power back," Jessy explained. If Zain will get some power from Hannah, he will pursue her for sure and they will have to fight one another and one of them will get hurt in the process. She doesn't want to hate and hurt Zain, she treasured all of Adam's family members including her fake husband.
"By the way, are you still visiting him in his prison room?" she asked.
Hannah nodded her head. "Yeah, I will continue to visit him and continue to love him come what may..."
Jessy bit her lip, she immensely pitied the pregnant woman which was imprisoned in a painful one-sided love. "Okay, as you say so. Take care of yourself and the baby, I will go now," she said and sauntered towards the door. Tonight she will visit her fake husband and have some serious discussion with him, just to remind him to not pressure Hannah so much because she was carrying his baby. It's wrong to put a pregnant woman in an unpleasant situation, and subject her to emotional and psychological stress. She will try to ask Zain to be kind to Hannah so that the baby won't be affected by their conflict. She felt guilty that the baby was conceived because of her trickery switching places with Hannah on the night of her wedding to Zain. As much as possible the baby should be born to a happy and loving family not to the unhappy parents, what kind of future awaits the baby if both parents are not in harmony with each other? Unhappy parents will produce unhappy children.
"Thanks for dropping by, Jess!" Hannah said.
Jessy glanced over her shoulder and gave the woman her sunny smile before she exited the room going back to the clinic.
Before the night is over she must talk to Zain and ask for closure once and for all. He was dragging things between them and making her hope for something false. Just when she was nearly convinced that Zain will finally let her go, that's also the moment she realized that Zain was just playing with Hannah's emotion all along. Maybe it's just part of his revenge against Hannah and her for deceiving him on the night of their wedding.
Does she have to wait for an eternity before he will finally release her?

" Take care of yourself and make sure our other friend knows what the priest said or he'd bother me half to death." Ben says.

" I'll try. Take care of yourself too, Benny." I said with a sad smile. I got on board as a bus stopped near us. I sat at the back of the bus and looked at Ben one last time,he waved, he'll be fine, I reminded myself and lifted my hand to wave. Just as the bus began to move away,I sat back closing my eyes. I tried to relax but their faces kept flashing through my mind.

 My keys dropped while a fiddled with them trying to find the right one, but the door suddenly opened and my friend, Rion picked my keys up and placed it on the key hanger beside the door. He took my hands and dragged me in, a soft smile on his face.
" Where is your smile little flower?" He asks softly closing the door behind us. I smiled and he whipped my tears and dragged me to the couch. 

" My loved ones are dead, why should I maintain a smile right after their funeral?" I ask knowing his questions may seem weird but they held meaning behind them and would lead to something that might cheer me up.
" Ah, I see. Sometimes fate could be quite cruel, don't you agree?" Rion asks.
" Sometimes." I mumbled as we sat down. He smiled again.
" But isn't it true as well that fate always as a good thing coupled with the bad?" He asks.
" Is there? What is the good thing that is supposed to happen after the death of my entire family,Rion?" I ask feeling frustrated. He smiled mysteriously.
" Have faith in fate, it just so happens that since you're students have cone on a mission for the next year or so you can take a vacation and deliver something to a friend of mine in China, though currently I have no idea where he might be." He paused waiting for his words to sink in then he continues, "I'll give you the item and his name and leave the rest for you, since I know how much you love adventure and mystery. Since I myself am a mystery to you, no?" He asks grinning. How come I saw that coming?
" Why can't you deliver the item yourself?" I ask.
" Ah, currently my friend is rather angry at me for not having returned it at the date that I was supposed to, and if I appeared in front of him now.... I'm afraid it won't end up nicely." He muttered his smile stretching from ear to ear. I shook my head but could only smile. He gave me a hug and held out a large slab of chocolate.
" Heh?" I gasped, "where on Earth did you get that from?!" I ask startled.
" My secret to keep, but unfortunately they made the wrong kind which I find rather gross, but I know you like it so you can take it. It's my present for being unable to stand by you at the funeral and what is to come." He says, caramel? He doesn't like caramel? What person would not like that flavour?! I took the chocolate shaking my head inwardly, he's right I love a good mystery.
" Alright, the sooner the better, I'll pack my bags and you can book the flight there is no way in heaven or on Earth that I would pay for something you forgot to do, knuckle head." I say smiling. Earning a smile in turn. I stood up and slightly wavered.
" How come you trust fate so much?" I ask.
" Cause I am a good friend of faith, so I have faith that fate would not ever let me down or you." He says, I narrowed my eyes, that sounded like it had a double meaning behind it. I'll ask him about it later but for now....
" Alright, what's your friend's name?" I ask.
" Huang Chu. I'll give you the item tommorow along with a few gifts meant for you." He stood up and strode into his room while he was still speaking. Seriously? I shrugged my shoulders and went into my room beginning to pack the things that I believed I would need.

Getting Over You.

"I know that we're just getting along recently but I'm curious... Do you still love Lianne?" Tanong ni Laine kay Arch. Kasalukuyan silang nasa rooftop at doon nag uusap. Nakagawian na nila ang pumunta doon kapag free time and palaging nagkakataon na naroon sila pareho.

Hindi naman agad nakapagsalita si Arch. Pilit na tinitimbang ang nararamdaman. Marahan niyang kinapa ang dibdib malapit sa puso niya saka huminga ng malamin. Habang si Laine naman ay nakamasid sa binata.

Hinihiling na sana ay may nararamdaman ito kahit katiting para sa kanya. Matagal tagal na rin simula nang maging close sila. Marami nang nangyari and ito ang isa sa pinakamagandang nangyari sa buhay niya. Ang mapalapit kay Arch.

"Honestly... I don't know. " Saad nito. Animo'y munting tuta na nadismaya ang hitsura ni Laine. Nais sana niyang makumpirma ang damdamin nito. Wala man lang pag asang mahalin siya nito. Totoo nga siguro yung sinasabi nilang mas mabuti pang mahalin ang taong mahal ka, kaysa ipagpilitan mong mahalin ka ng taong hindi naman ikaw ang mahal.

"Alam kong wala akong karapatang magsalita tungkol sa anumang mayroon kayo pero... Lalo ka kasing masasaktan kung patuloy mong yayakapin ang nakaraan... Nakaraan na hindi na dapat pang balikan. Nakaraan na dapat ay nang kalimutan para sa bagong pag ibig na dapat mong maranasan..." Hindi niya malaman kung bakit niya nasabi iyon.

Marahil ay nadadala siya sa emosyon niya. Napatitig naman ang binata sa kanya. Mga tinging siya ay napapaso. Iniiwas ni Laine ang tingin sa binata at tumingin sa malayo. Naghihintay ng sagot sa tinuran niya.

Sa totoo ay hindi alam ni Arch kung paano magrereact sa sinabi ni Laine. Pero isa lang ang alam niya. Isa lang ang sinasabi ng puso niya. Unti unti nang nabubura ang kung anumang damdamin mayroon siya para kay Lianne. He's slowly getting over her. Muli niyang kinapa ang dibdib niya. Tila ba may sinasabi ito. At unti unting bumibilis ang pagtibok nito.

"Nope. It's not right." Napapailing niyang sabi sa isip. Maya maya ay nagpaalam na ito.

"I need to go. I have a meeting at four." Saad nito sa dalaga matapos tumingin sa wrist watch niya. Tumango lang si Laine sa binata at naiwan siyang mag isa.

"Matutunan pa kaya niya akong mahalin?" May lungkot sa mukhang saad sa isip niya. Ilang minute nang makaalis si Arch ay bumalik na rin siya sa kanyang opisina. Halos nabagot siya sa haba ng itinakbo ng oras.

Halos balutin na ng dilim ang buong paligid paglabas niya sa opisina. Hindi kasi niya namalayan na ilang minuto na pala ang lumipas nang matapos ang oras ng trabaho pero naroon pa rin siya at tinatapos ang trabaho. Ilang minuto pa ay wala pa ring taxi na dumadaan. Nasa pagawaan kasi ang kotse niya.

Halos kalalabas lang din ng kotse ni Arch nang matanaw niya ang dalaga. Napangiti siya nang maisip na isabay ito. Ilang hakbang na lamang mula sa sasakyan niya papunta sa dalaga nang biglang tumawid si Jewel. Lulan ng asul na kotse ay lumabas ang pamilyar na binata sa kanya.

Kitang kita niya kung paano nito inalalayan ang dalaga. Pinagbuksan ng pinto ng kotse saka iningatang hindi mauntog sa pagpasok ng sasakyan. Nakamasid lamang ang binata sa dalawa. May pagkadismayang pinaharurot ni Arch ang kotse papunta sa kung saan, habang ang dalawa naman ay masayang nagduduet sa kanta ni Bruno Mars na "count on me" sa loob ng kotse habang nagmamaneho si Kulas.

Biglang naging awkward ang paligid at mas lalong walang nagsalita sa dalawa. Ang kaninang masayang aura ng paligid ay naging awkward. Nang makarating ng bahay ay agad na nagpaalam si Jewel kay Kulas.

As I said in the previous chapters, "love yourself because it makes you who you are" Even in relationships, you don't need to give it all to him or her. You need to have a love for yourself first. 
Throughout my life, I have experienced degrading myself because I'm so insecure about myself. Whenever I look at myself in the mirror, sometimes I would say negative things. I felt jealous when I see someone that is beautiful and would compare myself to her. Sometimes I doubted myself, but I keep on reminding myself that this is me, this is who I am, God created me this way, in his way. I started loving myself more when I look at my reflection in the mirror, and I would say, "You are beautiful" It's a habit that I would compliment myself because it works. It's a challenge to compliment yourself every day. It helps you to gain confidence and ready to take the day. If you are confident enough in yourself, it's like a fulfillment because it's like you no longer hide in your shell, you got to break free from it.

This book is about my life.
 In this book, it tackles about facing different stages of life. It's not mostly about my life but anyone can relate to what I wrote in the book. 
It's about who you are, saying what you feel, and being real and honest.

That was one chilly night...

"You belong to me", He said.

"Yeah, I do belong to you, and this child too", She said.

"Anu, I want you but not this child. Try to understand", He mumbled.

"But why? You love me right? And this baby is the sign of our divine love. So why not?", She let out a sigh.

"You remember? We always dreamt of having babies and we even thought of what would be their names when they are born. What happened Jeet?"

"Because, I can't marry you", He announced.

"What?", 'What did you just say?', She wanted to ask but her words are choked inside. She fell silent. After some time she gathered some courage to ask, 

"Why? Have I done anything wrong?"

"No!", He said.

" Am I not good enough?", She inquired.

"It's not like that!", He replied.

" I am not that pretty?", She asked.

"No!, He exclaimed. You are very pretty. You are thinking too much."

"Then? What is it? Just tell me", She pleaded.


"No.Umm. It's, It's just that", He stuttered. 

"Say it", She has a bad feeling about it. It felt like her whole world is going to destroy in the very next moment.

"It's just that, I think I don't love you anymore", He announced.

The plate in her hands fell on the ground to break into pieces. She felt her heart breaking into millions of pieces. It's like somebody is squeezing her heart and she is drenched in her blood. It's such a suffocating feeling. She struggled to make a sentence but failed.

Silence.

She bent down to gather the broken pieces of glass plate and in her miserable state, she accidentally cut her forefinger. The blood drops started falling on the floor.

"What are you doing? You'll hurt yourself!", He rushed forward but she gestured him to stop.

Just a hand gesture but it broke something inside him. 

She went to the basin and hold her finger under the tap water. Her blood is oozing out of the wound. Then she pressed on the wound to prevent the blood from coming out.

"Say something. Please.", He pleaded.

"Get out", she muttered.

"What?", He whispered.

"I need some time alone. Go away, please", She sobbed. 

He frowned. But said nothing. He took his keys, turned around to take one last look at her, She is still there in her place looking pale as a sheet of paper and the grief all over her face. 

Don't know why but his heart ached at the sight. With heavy heart, he went to the door and as the door slammed shut, she collapsed on the floor. She cried and cried hard.


She cried her heart out. She cried until midnight. 

'I loved him so much. He also loved me. So, where things went wrong? Or the thing is he never really cared? Am I not good enough? I am not that pretty? I am not that smart? I loved him from my core. I only wanted one thing from life- his Love. Am I not worthy? Don't I deserve to be loved? I am loving him for the past 8 years and I am madly in love with him. So what happened to us?', she thought.


She reminisced everything from their first date to the first kiss. From their silly arguments to their loving cuddles. She remembered everything. When they become childhood friends to best friends, when they started liking each other, when he first proposed to her when they were in college and when she said yes. 

She is having a hard time believing that he wanted to end everything. She just can't digest the thing that he doesn't love her anymore.

 'How could that be? I love him with all my heart. I can't let him go. My heart is aching so bad just by the thought of losing him. Doesn't he feel anything about me?', 

Her thoughts started to run wild. 


'Did he love me? Maybe he doesn't love me at all. Maybe I am not that beautiful. Maybe I am not good enough. Or it's just that he wants someone better? What is it? Why this is happening?', She wanted the answers. 


Her mind is a mess. She needed to clear her thoughts. She went upstairs, opened the closet and took out a lovely notebook. That's her diary. The thing that always helped her to clear her vision. That's her best friend - her diary. 

She opened it and started writing everything that came to her mind.


'Dear Anu, Let's be honest with yourself my love. You gave your all to this relationship. You loved him with all your might. Every day you woke up with his thought. Every night when you slept he was always on your mind. You are always daydreaming about him, about your future together. No matter how hard you try to balance things, in the end they all shattered. And now that he is gone it seems he squeezed every drop of blood from your body and now there you are. Your heart is drenched in your blood. No, he didn't do this to you. You did this to yourself. From the very beginning, you always knew he doesn't love you the way you love him. You still chose him over and over again. It's not his fault that he has disrespected you. It's your fault you allowed that to happen. Let's be honest. You always knew that things are not like what they seemed to be. He is not the one who kept hurting you. The worst part is you kept hurting yourself. Let's be an honest girl. In the process of loving him so madly, For Your so-called 'first love', you destroyed yourself. He never destroyed you but you destroyed yourself. He is such a nice guy. He is the one who taught you self-love is important. And here you are. If you are unable to love yourself properly how could you love anybody else? It's not his fault. It's yours. It's not him, it's you. Maybe for being a girl he would like, you became somebody else than yourself. Any guy would always love the girl who is herself, who loves herself, who is independent, who doesn't need anyone's assurance in anything. You are not happy with yourself that's why you are incapable of keeping him happy either. Jeet is such a nice guy. He always supported you. But maybe he eventually realised that this is not the relationship that he wants. Now, be the girl you would be proud of. Be the best version of yourself. Change yourself. Don't be a crybaby. Now, grab those shattered pieces of your heart and mend them. You don't need anybody else to do that. You and only you can keep yourself safe and happy. I know it's going to be extremely difficult. It's weird from where comfort can come , isn't it? Maybe you aren't comfortable speaking around your parents or your siblings , but as social beings , humans tend to look for comfort in order to ease their pain . But you might be surprised how comfort can come to you . 
I gave some hints throughout the chapters that I like Asian culture , mostly Korean culture , but I didn't press further . I am a kpoper . I like korean music , fashion , film industry and many more . But I've been keeping this from you . Why ? Because once people hear that you are into kpop , they generalize you and have a negative opinion. Don't get me wrong , I don't care if someone tells me not to listen to kpop , but I kept this from you so I can explain deeply and make a whole chapter dedicated to this . 
Now there comes the questions "Why ? When ? Who introduced you to it ? Why do you like those chinese people ? Do you even understand what they say ? " . That's what I was saying . Firstly , to erase every doubt , race or language , it doesn't matter to me . I listen to it as long as I like it . As I previously stated , the only race I know is human race , so I don't see the problem . This kind of culture actually helped me think that way . It opened my eyes . I saw how asian people where viewed all around the globe , and after looking carefully at their culture and background I thought " This isn't like this . This is their culture . This is in the past . This is wrong . " I think I took a liking to them because I was , too , often misunderstood and insulted . 
How I discovered it ? In chaos . Right before meeting my math tutor . On social media . Some guys were recreating the music videos in a funny way , and as sad as I was , I kept looking at them . Because they were so happy . And the music simply made its way into my brain  . So I discovered it alone . I staned groups like EXO , Stray Kids , BLACKPINK , Red Velvet , NCT and BTS . I still listen to them , but BTS made its way right into my heart . 
Regarding the generalized term of " chinese people " , please reconsider before saying this because some people might get offended . Not all of them are chinese people . There are japanese , koreans , mongolese and vietnamese as well . Learn to emblace every culture . But before that , why should it matter if they are chinese or not ? If they are korean or not ? Talent is not defined by race . 
Do I understand what they say ? At first , I didn't . But that only made me curious . I'm a curious being . I like learning new things . So I started learning korean . And no , not for them . For myself . To keep me going . To do something not a lot of people do . To prove myself that I can master world's hardest language . Now , I can understand a little bit . I'm taking small steps . Even before learning , there are dozen of translations online , so feel free to search . That's what I did . And some lyrics have a special place in my heart . 
Now that I probably answered all of your questions , let's get to the real reason why I'm doing this . This is another thank you chapter . Dedicated to the worldwide popular band BTS . My seven savious . I belong only to their fandom and I'm proud of that . At first , I liked teh chorus of " Blood , Sweat and Tears " because I heard " money , money , money " . So I looked them up . And I began listening to more . And I liked them . The lyrics weren't like what you hear nowadays . Some were talking about how important is it to love yourself and some were dedicated to their fans , ARMYs . I liked how they were so honest , for some celebrities become arrogand over the years . That's when it hit me . I observed how they pronunced ARMY after winning an award , and how much they loved their fandom . For the first time in my life , I believed them . I was always sure that celebrities say that only to look good , but my heart was telling me to believe them . So I did . As I learned more about them , discovering that they were from a small company , struggling with money and ready to disband but didn't , I was touched and sad at the same time . They were an inspiration for me , to move forward . To run for my dreams . I didn't have a dream , but I just decided to live . And yes , I am one of the people they saved . In the hardest years of my life , I discovered them . And I took their hands , and promised them that I would not ruin myself anymore . " We didn't even know what was going on or where we were going , but we kept going . Because we were seven , we weren't tired. " This could describe it the best . I didn't know what I was going to go , but I was with them , so I wasn't tired . They held me close these years . It's true : I've never been to a concert or seen them up close . But I still love them . And I know they love me too . We have so many evidences that they love us , ARMYs , and if they can love someone they never met , why can't I love myself ? Why don't I show that I am grateful and I am slowly but surely falling in love with myself ? Why don't I repay them for staying with me by simply being alive ? 
They are my savious , my inspiration and my comfort . They embraced me in my darkest moments and said that it's okay . They taught me that emotions exist . And that we must feel them . And feel them deeply . They taught me that loving yourself isn't selfish , it's beautiful . They taught me to accept myself . Yesterday me is still me, so I love me . They taught me to be more open minded . They taught me that friendships can last if you are honest . They taught me that it's never too late to love yourself . They taught me that it's okay to slow down sometimes. And to look back . Just to see how far we've come . They taught me that happiness is a lifetime goal , and not  a temporary sensation . They taught me that one heart can exist in more than one body . And most importantly , they taught me that I matter , that I need to love myself , and that they are still with me , helping me to acheive that . They are always with me , but sometimes I don't realise that . So I'm thanking them . I thank you for saving my life . For giving me power to move forward .For opening my eyes . For crying with me . And for laughing with me . For loving me . For never giving up . For being my inspiration . For healing me . And for helping me heal even now . Thank you for holding my hand and running . I would've stopped there if it wasn't for you . Look how far I've come . I'm slowly loving myself . And loving others . Just look at me. I want you to be proud of saving so many lives , including mine . I want you to be proud of creating such delicate people . And wonderful people . Even more , I want you to be proud of how we can repay you . By loving ourselves . Isn't that beautiful ?People are helping people loving themselves , and the only way you can ever repay them enough is by loving yourself  . I cannot think of a more beautiful storyline . So thank you for walking with me . Because I never walk alone now . 
So comfort , right ? They comforted me and helped me get throught so much , even if they don't know  . I actually don't want them to know , because it would break their hearts . They only need to know that I'm loving myself . I think that's enough . Because their comfort helped me get to this point . They embraced me and because they were seven , I was warm . 
Even if I never saw them up close, I love them . Even if they don't know who I am , I know I'm being loved . Love is  a mysterious thing . It connects people , without knowing . I want you to take this example and to try to love people more . And not celebrities . People around you . People you can see everyday . People that can love you back . So begin by deepening your present relationships . You won't regret it . Life is about being good and feeling good . Make sure you are balancing the two .
I don't need to tell what I'm grateful for , right ? I think it's obvious . I'm grateful that they exist . And that I discovered them . That I let myself be guided by them . That they hold my hand . And that they kept me warm . I hope all of you reading this find their comfort . Find something that calms you down . And hang on to life . The universe always falls in love with a stubborn heart . Find someone to hold your hand to walk with . So you will never walk alone .

"I knew you'd be here."
I turned my back and saw Josh standing behind me with a sketchbook in his hands.
I looked back to Arina's gravestone.
"I heard the news and I thought you'd be here so I came here," he said and sat down beside me.
Of course he would hear the news. He is Ali's uncle after all.
"You're still blaming yourself, aren't you?" he asked but I didn't answered him.
He gave me the sketchbook he was holding.
"Ali said I should give this to you. It's from Emerson."
It was not the same sketchbook he left at my table before. I turned the page and it was a calligraphy saying, "I'm sorry."
"Emerson Del Valle. You don't know him, do you?"
I was just turning the page of the sketchbook that contains calligraphy mostly from song lyrics.
"He is the son of the person behind Arina's ****." I looked at him with confusion.
"Arina was sold to a PO1 Samonte. The one who sold Arina is Emerson's father. He surrendered himself after her son's burial. According to his father, Emerson was in a critical condition that time and he had no choice but to accept the offer. He said he did it all for his son. He became a drunkard and violent to Emerson after that. If it wasn't for Emerson he wouldn't have done it."
I know nothing about it.
"Ali said that Emerson knew all of it. About what his father did. About Arina. And about you. That is the reason why he's getting your attention. He wants to say sorry but he doesn't know how so he decided to do what you hates the most. To make you happy. But it was hard for him to do it because that time, he's fighting with his demons but unfortunately, he lost the battle. Ali found that sketchbook in his bag and it was addressed to you."

Tears fell from my eyes when I saw the last page.
It was the painting of Arina and me. This picture was taken when we went to a field trip to Baguio. We looked so happy in this painting.
"You should move on, Ellie. Crash the wall you built around you," he said.
I finally got my courage to speak.
"I'm afraid of being happy for it comes with consequences," I said while crying.
"No. You're afraid to entertain a new feeling thinking you won't be able to handle what you might feel when it fades away," he said and looked into my eyes.
"You are being a coward, Ellie. Relive the lively Ellie I used to know not this miserable Ellie in front of me."
"Free yourself from the chains you used to tie yourself. It won't be easy but it is worth trying and I'd be here all the way to support you. The more you keep it, the more miserable you get. Let go, Ellie."
He smiled and left me thinking about on what I should do next.

Letting go means crushing down the walls I built to protect myself from pain.
I don't know what to do.
The wind blew and the sketchbook I am holding turned its pages automatically.

"See you around, Ma'am," the class said in unison.
Before the students could run out of the door, Josh blocked their pathway. He's holding a bouquet of flower.
The students cheered and squealed in excitement. Some of them teased me but Josh and I just laugh it off.
Josh went up to me when the students were already out of the room.
"Let's go?" he asked. I nod and we head out on the parking lot.
Josh opened the car door for me before he went to the driver's seat. The drive was a quite one. No one dared to speak. Maybe because we're both reserving the talk for later.
After a short while, we reached our destination.

Josh lighted the two candles and put down the bouquet of flowers on the gravestone.
"Your students are crazy for thinking that I am your suitor," he said while laughing.
"They really are," I laughed with him.
"If I would court someone, I will never give her a bouquet of chrysanthemum."
"Unless it's Arina," I said while wiggling my eyebrows.
I smiled when I saw him took his gaze away from me.
"It is nice to see you laughing and smiling again, Ellie," he said.
"All thanks to you. If it wasn't for you, I won't be able to let go of the past that's been haunting me for six years."
We just smiled at each other and looked up at the orange sky.
Letting go doesn't mean forgetting. Letting go means freeing yourself from everything that have been hurting you.
Do not deprive yourself of happiness. Let go and be brave because that is how you grow and learn.

Love is many things. It's beautifully complex, yet so simple. It's so easy to love yet so scary to let yourself feel it towards another person. 

Some find love early on, and get to experience the joys and heartbreaks of being with someone, and some are fine waiting for the right one to come around. 

However, how do you go on loving when your heart has been ripped out by love? How do you find love again after you thought you had already found it once, twice or even more than that? 

Even after repairing your heart, it'll never be the same. It's easier to feel jaded. Easier to think you found love again only to realize you were wrong. 

But what's even is easier, is cutting off your heart from feeling love all together. To pretend that you are fine being alone, and never loving again. 

Until eventually you realize that you are a whole other person without love, and it's almost magical. 

You finally are able to be happy being alone, and truly happy now. Finally able to see your dreams and future ahead of you.  

Until you find yourself feeling that burning sensation in your heart, not sure why but suddenly not wanting to be alone anymore. 

What if you are finally happy and free of heartbreak, only to find that your heart has been lit aflame by someone? 

Will you let yourself be drawn into their presence? Could you manage to be patient, or would you fall harder than you ever did before? 

Suddenly, things become clear that you never could escape love forever. 

But just because you fall for someone, doesn't mean they'll feel the same. Even if they do feel how you feel, there's not any guarantee they'll want to be with you. 

How do you live in a world where you can't be happy in love?

The Saint Building. 

Being one of the finest and tallest buildings in the entire Elisberg city, the Saint building was used solely for corporate purposes except for the top floor. The fifteenth storey building was an office for fourteen different companies while the fifteenth floor was occupied by different therapists of the city. 

"Good morning Sam," Amber greeted the security guard before entering the elevator. Pressing the fifteenth floor button, she impatiently tapped her foot on the elevator floor, waiting fot the elevator to ascend. She was already super late for her morning appointment and the slow elevator wasn't helping. 

As the elevator door opened, she quickly stepped out and rushed towards her cabin. 

The entire fifteenth floor had multiple rooms which belonged to each therapist where they took private sessions with their parents. It wasn't some kind of company or association, each room was rented individually so the environment was an independent one.

Stopping right in front of the door which had her name plate on, Amber quickly took out the keys from her bag. 

When she saw her client sitting on the bench, she quickly apologized, "Renna I am so sorry for keeping you waiting actually I—" She stopped midway and frowned when she saw her swollen arm. "What happened to your arm?" Without waiting for her reply, Amber quickly opened the door and let her in.

Inside 

"Have a seat." Gesturing her to sit down on the couch, Amber also settled down in her regular seat which was right across the cilent. 

"How are you feeling today Renna?" she softly inquired. Renna was one of the oldest clients of Amber who had been taking sessions from her regularly without missing a single appointment. 

Keeping quiet for quite some time, Renna answered, "It's still the same." Looking at her swollen arm and knuckles, she started sobbing. "Maybe it's even worse now." 

"You need to let it out, hiding your feelings and emotions will just make things worse. Just let yourself loose and tell me everything you want to." After being in touch with Renna for years, Amber knew everything about her. She was more like a friend to her than just a patient. There were times when she gave her free sessions just to make her feel better but things just kept getting worse because of the toxic marriage Renna was trapped in. 

"He came home drunk yesterday and started hitting me again. When I tried to revolt, he pressed me against the wall so hard and threatened me to stay shut otherwise he would kill my family. I—" Closing her eyes, she started sobbing harder. 

Leaving her seat, Amber sat down beside her and gave her a side hug to comfort her. "I know I have asked you this question several times as your therapist but this time, I am asking it as your friend. Why are you enduring all of this? Why are you torturing yourself? Why aren't you doing something about it? You can easily report him for domestic violence and set yourself free. If you are scared than I will help you out."

Wiping her tears with the back of her hand, Renna answered, "It's because I love him and I know that he isn't this kind of a person. I just can't figure out what is wrong with him and how he turned out to be someone who is nothing like him." 

"Love isn't something which makes you feel the way you are feeling, it is the most beautiful thing that can happen in someone's life." Pausing for a while, Amber added, "You say that you love him but what about loving yourself first? What about respecting yourself and your body? Renna, if you don't love and respect yourself, no one will." 

Looking at her swollen arm, she continued, "Loving your partner is completely okay but losing yourself and your dignity amidst that is not acceptable. If you keep quiet and not speak for yourself, he will keep controlling your life. You need to stand up for yourself without being afraid of anything." 

The more Amber looked at Renna's swollen arm, her heart ached for her. For some odd reason, she could never stand someone getting hurt even though that person was not related to her in any way. Her heart would ache even for a stranger whom she was seeing for the first time if he was suffering.

Suddenly, something got into her and she closed her eyes before placing both her hands on Renna's swollen arm.
