The New Haven Universe is a series of short stories and novels I have been developing over the past decade. It spans multiple genres including horror, drama, romance, etc. All of the stories are apart of the same world featuring some characters that carry over between stories. Wyatt a young boy of 16, well built muscular body, nice hair which he changes its color steady you will never know the color of his, got dark brown eye contact, red lips, just call it a sexy looking guy lived with his rich granny who provided all he needed ever since his parents went to rest (die) which made him spoilt.

 Wyatt's grand mom Mrs cressida owns one of the richest schools in new York, Mrs cressida is a retired teacher.

 Mrs cressida made a decision of registering her grand son Wyatt in her school ROSEY GOLD HIGH, she never liked the fact that her grand son was far from her in a boarding school and she was damn tired of reports from the school authority about her grand son molesting girls.

 Alizeh is a young pretty average height girl of 15 with a shinny brown hair, brown eyes, pink lips, neatly curved hips and nice butt.

 Alizeh lives with her rich parents and lived comfortably but alizeh never showed off, you could only see richness in her crazy dress sense, her looks and the way she styles her hair.

 Alizeh attends Rosey gold high and she never had a friend if not lux her only friend who understands her mode, alizeh is a very calm girl but strict and mean.

 Alizeh having only one friend and talks to no one never stopped her from having an enemy.

 Cyrus the head of the red lipstick girls never stopped making alizeh's life miserable, because she thinks her eagle and pride will fade because of her, not until Wyatt as every girls prince charming came.

New 1: Attempt of love

Following her forced marriage (in the nineteenth century), she wanted to love and be free. But fate had a different twist than she imagined.

It's me again, Lemon Grenade. After creating the story Reincarnated into a Shingle Sea Urchin, I realized how fast I did things and how I didn't put much effort into the story. I've spent my time thoughtfully contemplating on how to improve myself this year before I came up with a new story.

I originally promised another story that involved aliens and game elements, but I got extremely lazy during that time and temporarily gave up. But I've been working on others in secret during my silence. This time I came up with one that's unique and something I'm willing to invest more time in compared to my first one which was a prototype.

This time I won't try to speed run things. I'll try to put effort into the storyline and plot. I'll try to personalize characters and put effort into them. Unlike the first time, I have a relatively good path that I plan on following. Yes, I said that for my first novel, but complications rose so I ended it prematurely.

But I won't start releasing chapters for a while. If I do, the pressure will bring up my habit of speed running things. Once I've completed a portion of it that I've deemed satisfactory, I'll start releasing chapters.

PLEASE READ (But please don't be offended with my passionate rant)

I have reasons as to why I chose the main character to be a female.
The first reason is because I feel more enthusiastic when the character I'm imagining is female.

The second reason is because I'm tired of almost all the female Wuxia/Xianxia novels that I manage to find and read. It's very hard (and rare) to find a legit cultivation novel with a female protagonist that cultivates seriously.
Almost all female cultivation novels have a main male character that goes after them. It results in a lot of romance and little cultivation. The same could be said to multiple male characters going after the single female protagonist. It just results in too much comedy and romance, with little cultivation time taken seriously.

Examples would be Genius Doctor: Black Belly Miss and The Demonic King Chases His Wife. Although I've read the first to 300 and the second to 500, which isn't the whole, I stopped because of the romance. Although yes, there was a period of time where they separated, but even then, cultivation wasn't really taken seriously. 
(Correct me if this changes past what I've read. I'm kinda judging, but what I've said is mostly true for what I've read so far. So you can't blame me)

The ones that I can really appreciate are Kumo Desu Ga, Nani Ka? and The Good-For-Nothing Seventh Young Lady.
The first one has almost no romance with the female character and is all about evolving to become stronger in order to survive. 
The second does have multiple males going after her, but she takes cultivation very seriously and puts in effort to cultivate. If not, she's usually doing important business stuff or figuring out problems. She's not even in love with any of the male throughout the entire story, only friendship. It's extremely slow romance as she slowly falls for a guy that only has a soul, but has a personality that I like very much.

You can find plenty of male cultivation novels, and a lot of them are famous. Almost all of them seriously focus on cultivation; pursuing the Dao with not a lot of romance. Even the ones with female leads still do cultivation seriously even if the male protagonist falls in love.

But NO! When it's a female, the cold and dark world of cultivation suddenly becomes all happy and vibrant! It's all about the male guy! Yes, I have seen darkness and coldness in female cultivation novels like the ones above, but definitely not as much as one with a male MC. It's like the whole world has to be nicer just because the MC is a girl!

For male MC's, most of them struggle to the top. They have to work their way to advance by slaughtering enemies and using them as stepping stones in pursuit of the great Dao. They always severely injure themselves while approaching the brink of death just to survive. There's always gore, evil, and darkness that the MC has to traverse through while maintaining their sanity.

But NO! It's different for a female MC! They do struggle, but definitely not as much. Enemies are slaughtered and used as stepping stones, but I've never seen a female have a Dao they want to pursue. Yes they injure themselves, but definitely not as bloody and gory. Life or death situations are way less compared to the latter. Things are seemingly brighter with a female MC.

The best part of it all is that they're buffed with their seemingly harsh past life. Almost all female MC's in cultivation novels have OP medical skills, assassin skills, and military skills from their past life. I've never seen a female MC cult. novel where she was originally born in a cultivation world and has to work her way up. I've seen several male MC novel's like that, but no female.

Yes, I know male MC's are like that too, but not a lot of them actually have the female tropes. A good portion of them are just male MC's who are in high school or college, or just an average worker. They have to learn harsh things and go through mentally insane things. On the other hand, females are granted buffs and don't start this way out when they arrive. (Correct me if there is a female cultivation novel like that)

In conclusion, the males usually have the tough life while the females can just relate to their past life to get things done. Not to mention getting help from the leading male(s) character(s).
 
You really can't sympathize with the female MC's suffering in their past life as they usually do a brief overview of what their other worldly harsh life was like (sometimes male as well). The males usually have to go through hardships throughout the novel which immerses the reader (most of the time).

Well, as a person who believes in gender equality, this is a frustrating problem for me. I just wish there'd be more novels where the female has to suffer hardships physically and mentally like the male trope does without the buffer and external help from their lover. I also just wish the female would pursue the Dao and not crazily fall in love.

I know you're all saying, "But Lemon! Those novels are to catch readers that love romance!"
I know! But do you think all males and females like romance cultivation novels? 
"But these are all romance cultivation novels!"
Where's the action filled, Dao pursuing cultivation novels with female MC's?!
Where's the female MC's that pursue a lonely road of cultivation like the male MC's?!
I bet there's tons of female and male readers wanting more action-packed, little romance female Xianxia/Wuxia novels!

To make matters worse, they make the males personality traits very annoying to other males! Only the Seventh Young Lady has satisfactory male traits including the leading male.

Yes this all sounds sexist, but hear me out. 
I know some like the romance part, but as a person who loves action-filled novels, the romance part isn't all that big for me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy romance ones as well, but only if the MC is a male and the romance is kept in check and not exaggerated like the female ones. Very rarely will I enjoy a male lead in a female cultivation (Seventh Young Lady).

Yes, I am using past life experience for the female MC, but that's because I'm lazy. I can understand why the others use this buff of their female MC's, but apparently it's easy for the male and not for the female.

Phew! I've let out enough of my pent-up emotions. Let's end this rant about inequality towards male and female MC's.

I will try to do as little romance as possible in this novel and keep cultivation serious. There will be a little, but I don't know if I'll include a handsome male lead or multiple male leads. It all depends on the direction of this novel.

POSITIVE REVIEW :

CD has a very special place in my heart, which is why I'm also a bit bias towards it, being one of the first Xianxia I read.
This is an amazing piece to begin with if you're new to Xianxia, reason being that it's a complete translation, no need to wait a day, or week for a new chapter. Just binge through it all.
What really makes this one great is the relationships the MC has with different characters, which just helps flesh out the personality of the MC. This story should've been a bit longer in my opinion, to focus a bit more on certain characters, because this story suffers greatly from ignoring certain character for quite some time, until they become necessary for the story again, which is a bit sad, because many of them has been a great part of the story, until they're not. It makes it feel a bit rushed.
The world, the adventures, everything is extremely well written, it's such an amazing joy to read, and you just wish you could experience something like it while reading it, it's simply amazing. CD has its flaws, but I'm uncertain if it's because I'm bias toward it, or that it's just simply that good, that I gave it a 5/5. The non-bias part in me would like to rate it at 4/5, but in the top tier of 4s, because I feel like there's the possibility it could've been even better with more chapters, exploring characters, adventures and romance more.
UPDATE:
So I've read CD again, for the second time. Why should you read this? Because I Eat Tomatoes, the author is simply a genius at tugging at your heart strings, and making up likable characters and creating an amazing world, which shares the same universe as some of his other works. Of course reading it a second time, you notice some of the flaws.
In general all of I Eat Tomatoes works revolves around "Luck" which can be noticable in CD quite a bit, but I didn't find it overly so, except for a few cases, where luck simply is the only thing keeping the MC alive, but I can let it slide, since I can't come up with a better way of making such a rich and interesting story to begin with.
Also, the fighting becomes more or less the same at a point in the story, but the Author has still done a good job at keeping it interesting, but it does become predictable as it gets closer to the end. The most serious "flaw" this novel faces, though, is still the abandonment of characters, as most are really well written and introduced and to just forget about them is really the big flaw of CD. Getting a conclusion of what happened to some characters at the end would've been the cherry on the top for this novel.
This is still one of the best written novels out there, and I can't recommend it enough.

Well, where should I start.. Okay~
Coiling Dragon (Panlong) is honestly.. my first Chinese Novel. People regard their first novel as 'The one that made them read more', but it wasn't the case for me.
First, I'll start with good points of Coiling Dragon:

1. CD is a good novel for beginners. Unlike other Novels like ISSTH and TMW, this novel doesn't use 'Qi' or any chinese power leveling. In return, the story uses our typical Four Elements + Other Add-in to rank their powers.
2. CD has a very good initial setting. The MC, Linley is a scion of Baruch Clan, which is known for their Dragon Bloodline. He was branded as a failure after a test, but all of these changed when he acquired the *tada* Coiling Dragon Ring. There comes Grandpa Doehring. He became his teacher and taught him ways how to improve his strength and to obtain a way how to activate his Dragon Bloodline.
3. CD has a good 'Early' Romance setting. The part when Linley chose Delia over Alice is the highest point of their romance, In my Opinion.
4. For people who likes to read long novels, this is the novel for you. It is the first one of the Xianxia Genre to be fully translated. The quality of translation is good also.
5. If you like astronomically large numbers, the Author likes to give those kind of numbers.

The bad points of Coiling Dragon

1. Coiling Dragon, in a sense, has a very ridiculous PLOT ARMOR. Like IET's Novels, ALL coincidences happen to him, as if the author inserts them just to make a new objective. His Luck is way past the luck of other lucky protagonist, that you'll think his survival along the story was due to luck. Yes, he is hardworking, but much of his strength comes from luck.
2. Romance and Family setting is also ridiculous. There is a part where the MC leaves his family for almost 10 years and just to see his son and daughter grown up. Yes, he is a peerless expert, but he is a bad father.
3. Battle scenes are very annoying. If you want to describe their battle scenes, It looks like two saiyans fighting together. You won't see anything because of their very fast movement. All the audience can say is 'How fast!' and 'Such Strength!'
4. CD's plot is just confusing. Many characters are introduced, but almost the same number was forgotten.
5. In short, CD is a story with OP MC that flaunts 'MY MC's Soooo OP that...' It's that kind of story.\\

All in all, CD is good for new novel readers in it's early parts, but there are MUCH BETTER Novels out there in translation. If you want uninterrupted reading, this one's for you. (If you can handle the repetitivene plot of story)

Elyon knew that "Romance" is not his strong point. He writes a fantasy story with romance, but he can't tell if the romance will be able to attract female readers. Out of curiosity, he asked some of his fellow authors the question "Why do you read romance stories?"

Here are their answers…

Kyosei: Because I am single. 

Reili: To fill my empty void of a love life.

Minrei: Because romance let you feel what is to be loved, plus it is universal you dont need to learn magic or cultivation in order to read.

Bajj: Due to lack of romance irl.

Murakami: I read because I enjoy the friction and conflict between the FL and ML. The insistence vs resistance is naisu.

Qin: I reads romance only for ideas and info.

VlassisBehrakis: I don't read romance novels.

Yin: I read romance novels because I want that kind of drama to happen to me in real life. But I know it will never happen haha.

A Certain Irresistible Meowlin: I wonder why? And I do read romance novels. Though the chance of me dropping them is also the highest out of all the genres. Every so often I come across a scene that makes me just want to squeal and fangirl.

Elyon decided to dig deeper and asked a few of his senior "romance authors" some questions about their reason for writing romance stories.

The first question is… Why did you choose to write Romance Stories?

Anjeeriku: I'm comfortable writing romance stories compared to other genres. I'm a helpless romantic person and I like novels that can invoke other people's feelings.

Bajj: First of all, I like reading romance story. It was the reason why I read books before and reading other genres comes after. All in all, due to these romance fiction books, I got the opportunity to read more great books with different genre.

MishaK: That's what I read, so write that too.

Zehell2218: Because as reader, I want to read romance novel so when I write, I write romance since my motto is I write what I want to read.

Ikazainudin: The easiest genre. Everyone can relate.

End_of_Era: It wasn't a full on Romance, it was slice of life with romance which I feel was necessary with progression of the characters.

The second question… When you were making your ML and FL, did you imagine yourself as the lead of your story at any given point in time?

Anjeeriku: I would be a liar if I said no. There were instances that I'd put myself in my FL's shoes. Whenever that happens, my writing feels more passionate and truthful that sometimes it was hard to know where my fl starts and where I end. 

Shen Yi, LMD's ML was based on a person I've lost, The One That Got Away so it was sometimes hard not to self-insert whenever there were scenes that need to invoke feelings from readers. 

Bajj: I believe that every character the author was making and breathing life into it, a part of him/her is added to its character. But me imagining of being the ML/FL, never. I'm too pure for that. Kek

MishaK: Yes I did but sometimes. Otherwise you can't infuse emotions in your characters. It is important to understand your characters.

Zehell2218: Yes, I imagine myself as the lead. Of course, I tweak it a bit, such as in age and appearance. But mostly, the characteristics is similar to me.

Ikazainudin: FL and ML character based on what I want to be irl. Yup. I imagine that will be my love story.

End_of_Era: Yes, my leads had some ocassional self insertion.

The third question… If you were to choose some other genre aside from romance, what would you pick?

Anjeeriku: Fantasy. I always look up to those authors who can write fantasy stories/novels well. I believe writing a fantasy novel is harder than writing romance.

Hello Guys! I hope you enjoyed this chapter of WWCG. Personally, I've read a few CEO novels myself. Ai~ there's a few more that I won't add to the list because it will create a wall of text. Well anyways, the reason why I read these stories is to get an idea on "WHY" the ladies love to read them.

Let's just say that it's a unique way to see a world in the eye of a lady (if you are a man of course). When done properly, the execution of the story can capture the hearts of anyone, even male readers. I believe that no matter what gender you are, as long as you find the story interesting then it doesn't matter whether you are a guy or a gal no?

Perhaps, when I'm not too busy to write my stories, I'll once again pick a romance novel to read. Hopefully, I will find another hidden gem that will bring unexpected surprises to anyone who are lucky enough to find them.

Lying on the bed on his stomach, Adam hummed a small tune as he wrote the words for a new song. High on happiness, Adam had been on a roll since this morning and writing all songs he could about love and euphoria! Just then he felt a heavy weight on his back and the next moment, a few hair fell near his face. Alice nuzzled her nose into the back of his neck making him feel a little ticklish. Making his face fall forward, he let her breathe in and smiled happily. Placing her cheek in the middle of his back, Alice glided her toes over his bare calves, smiling a bit as he tried to move away without throwing her off. Finally, his foot caught her errant foot and hooking his foot behind Alice he rolled over taking her beneath him.  
The next moment, it was his toes that were gliding up and down over her calves, tickling her as she protested over this. Finally after fooling around for a bit, Alice looked up at Adam and asked, "What are you doing?"
Rubbing his nose against hers, he said, "I was writing some songs. But you are up to something naughty, Miss Alice."
Biting her lower lip, Alice grinned a bit and said " I have a list."
"A list?"
" Shopping list?"
"No! Guess!"
"Mmm, I pass!"
"Adam Perry! How can I have such a boring husband!"
Before she had even completed her teasing sentence, Adam caught her lips in a kiss and then nipped her just a bit on the lower lip, adding a bit of pain to the pleasure. "It is your fault. Your little white teeth are biting like this and distracting him. So tell me, what are you thinking in the list?"
"I have a list from all the novels that I have read! You know how I used to love reading those novels. right? So, as I read them I thought.."

But her list was interrupted by Adam who stole the words from her with a kiss.  
"Did you read romance novels or children fairytales. Mrs. Perry, let me tell you something that romantic novels should have. "
"According to the novels, we should be making love everywhere. We should make love under the stars and the sky. We should be making love while working out. We should be making love on the beach. We should be making love when we are on the Ferris wheel. We should be making love by the pool side. In the pool. That is what romance novels are all about."

"Of course it was there. You can check page 182 later and you will know. Now, let me give you the demonstration. Your list has inspired me to a great extent and I have decided that since I follow the instruction of this book ,I will definitely read more such romance novels. After all how can I not support my wife whole heartedly? Now let's stop talking and begin the demonstration..."
And soon, Adam did just that as he showed the power of actions over words. A long while later, he then started to fulfilling Alice's wish list and the couple ended up sharing a double scoop of ice cream, which also ended up melting on Alice as Adam was obsessed with making everything as smutty as he could. This was their honeymoon period and even if they were unable to go away, they were able to cut themselves from the outside world and stay safe in their own haven.
But this period was not to last too long and was just the calm before the storm. On the second day of their self isolation, Alice heard her phone and answered the unknown number cautiously, "Hello?"

Alice smiled a bit at hearing his voice which caused the man who was sitting behind her to pout and sulk as he heard the other man.
"I have a good news and a bad news. What do you want to hear first?"

"The good news is that Samual Faye has finally fallen into out clutches. His was arrested this evening."
A triumphant smile graced her face as she heard this and she turned her shiny eyes to Adam who hugged her hard, sharing in her happiness, He had actually wanted to beat that man to a pulp but had refrained because of Alice. And now that he would be behind bars, the man was going to have a brawl in the prison. It was no big deal. But then Alice remembered that there was a bad news also and she asked cautiously," Kieran? What is the bad news?"
"The bad news is that Samual Faye has refused to confess while James Faye has said that he had committed all the crimes in the name of Samual Faye. We will be bringing him in for questioning and if he is able to answer all the questions regarding this then there is a chance that Samual may come out of it with a hefty penalty only. I am going to try my best to have him fall but I just thought that you should know. He has wiggle room. However we are going to do our best to keep him caught."
Nodding and already thinking of a way to push Samual into the net, even more further, Alice thought even more and finally thanked," Thank you for the warning Kieran. I owe you one for this."
The other man laughed at this and refuted, "You owe me nothing, little Al! You can thank me with a simple meal next time."
"A simple meal? I can promise you that!"

Just 2% more but it felt like years. In addition to her hungry stomach, she was sore all over her body because of excessive 'training' of rolling around on the hard ground.

"See you, Tomorrow!" Yumeko said as she kept walking away and waved at Tatsurou and the girls, that responded with the same gesture.
And when Yumeko finally left, a sudden silence ruled over Tatsurou, Marie, and Naoki, but it wasn't for too long "You better not drag me down, Kurokami, you hear!" Naoki said with an angry tone as she pointed at Tatsurou "Don't worry, I won't do that..." Tatsurou said as he sighed "You better not!" Naoki said still angry as she took, her leave and left Tatsurou and Marie alone.
"This girl, I swear when it comes to Yumeko, she acts a lot different..." Tatsurou thought, as he looked at Naoki leaving "Anyway, how about we go home..." Tatsurou said this, to Marie as he began turning in the direction of his place, but he was interrupted by Marie, that pulled on his sleeve.
"Say, Tatsurou, about that compensation, you talked about, before we left the classroom..." Marie said as she kept holding Tatsurou's sleeve "Y-Yes, what about it?" Tatsurou said as he looked at Marie with a curious expression on.
"Can I, redeem it, now?" Marie asked as she fidgeted a bit "Sure, what is it?" Tatsurou said as he awaited Marie's request.
"Well, do you remember when, me, you and Shirayuki, went out, to show me the town, I saw a book store in the Shopping square, and I wanted to go there, if that's ok..." Marie said as she looked at Tatsurou and awaited his answer "That's what she wants? I'm actually surprised..." Tatsurou thought as he looked at Marie, that was still waiting for his answer.
"Sure, we can go there now, let me just call Weiss, to tell Shirayuki that we're going to get home a bit late..." Tatsurou said, as he looked at Marie that looked as if she was beaming with light, as she smiled "S-Sure!" Marie said with an excited tone as she kept smiling...
A while later, after calling Wise and taking the Monorail to the Shopping square, they were now on their way, to the book store Marie talked about, and something was bugging Tatsurou a bit.
"I said, it was ok to go, but now that I think about this, Marie and I, we are making our way to a store, just the two of us, if you look at this from the perspective of an outsider, it looks like we're on a d-date..." Tatsurou thought this a bit embarrassed, as he glanced at Marie that was smiling "Well, judging by the way she is acting, she doesn't mind it at all or she isn't thinking too much, about it..." Tatsurou thought again as he placed his hand in front of his forehead, after he saw that unlike him, Marie was acting calm and normal.

"No way! I have never seen a store like this, there are so many books!" Marie said with a happy tone a she looked like as if she was "jumping" with excitement, Tatsurou just smiled as he saw this "Really?" Tatsurou asked as he kept smiling, but in all honesty, seeing Marie's reaction was already, too clear of an answer.
"Yes, the ones I usually go to, are rather small, cramped even, especially the ones around the town of Lourdes." Marie said as she looked at Tatsurou, still with her excited tone on "I see, so is there any genre you prefer?" Tatsurou asked a bit curious.
"Yes, I like mystery and romance novels, but I tend to like mystery a lot more." Marie answered almost immediately as she heard Tatsurou's question "If you like mystery novels, then I know the section they're at, come..." Tatsurou said, as he began making his way to the mystery novels section "Sure, let's go!" Marie said as she followed behind Tatsurou...
Now, Tatsurou and Marie were in front of the mystery section, and as Marie saw how filled and big the shelves were, excitement, was the only feeling, that one could see in her eyes "Whoa, they have so many, I don't believe it!" Marie said as she looked in every direction and placed her hands together "Tatsurou, look they have Agatha Christie and Ruth Rendell here!" Marie said as she pointed at one of the shelves that were filled with the works of Agatha Christie and Ruth Rendell, as Tatsurou saw this he couldn't help but to have a smile on his face again, as he saw Marie running her index finger on the books, to choose which one to pick.
"Honestly, I didn't know you liked to read that much..." Tatsurou said, as he got close to Marie "I tend to read every day, especially before going to bed!" Marie said as she kept smiling.
"You do?" Tatsurou asked a bit curious "Yes, I picked this habit from my mother, at first she read me a story before going to bed when I was little, so it's more or less engraved in me, honestly, she would have loved to be here and see this..." Marie said as she did a small pause, that Tatsurou took notice off.
"Marie, your mother, is she..." Tatsurou asked this, but he didn't finish his question as Marie's face gave him the answer "I-I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have asked..." Tatsurou said with a worried tone, as he scratched his right cheek with his index finger, as the gilt of asking Marie about her late mother, hit him quite hard, that was when Marie, turned to Tatsurou.
"Don't be like that, it's ok, you didn't know, and when it comes to my mother, I really love to talk about her..." Marie said as she did a small pause and held Tatsurou's hands "Because, I believe that if don't, I will slowly forget her, and I don't want that to happen, I want to always remember her..." Marie said with an honest and reassuring tone as she smiled towards Tatsurou "I see...but even so..." Tatsurou said with an impressed tone, as he blushed and looked a bit away from Marie, still feeling bad for asking, Marie of course took notice of that.
"By the way, Tatsurou, do you usually read?" Marie asked with a curious tone as she let go of his hands "Well, I'm not a big fan of these types of novels, I'm more of a manga or light novel fan..." Tatsurou said as he scratched the back of his head.
"Oh, I see, I see, I don't usually read that, but my old roommate, Amélie, was obsessed with manga and anime, she likes light novels too, but unlike manga, they are quite hard to come by and a bit expensive in France." Marie said, with a happy tone as remembered her old roommate "I know! How about you recommend me one of your favorite light novels, I would be happy to read it!" Marie said as she smiled, but Tatsurou on the other hand.
"Wait, really?" Tatsurou asked a bit surprised with Marie's proposal "Yes, really! Let me just choose a few novels here, then we can be on our way!" Marie said as she turned her back to Tatsurou, as she began choosing which novels to pick...

Marie asked with a curious tone as she looked at Tatsurou, that jolted upon hearing her, and for him, it felt as if the world came to a stop "Ok, Tatsurou, calm down you can do this you just have to recommend her something that isn't a shoujo or a very girly romance...that is basically impossible!" Tatsurou said as he cursed himself for licking romance stories more than action-packed ones.
"What do I, do? She is looking at me with big expectations!" Tatsurou thought as he looked at Marie that was still waiting on his recommendation.
"Hmm, let's see a good light novel, that isn't filled with romance, but also has some action...damn it! I can't think of anything!" Tatsurou thought again, as all the light novels that came to mind were too long or filled with too much romance, Tatsurou was starting to get desperate, but that was when he saw it, his salvation "That's, Beyond the boundary!" Tatsurou said as he looked at a shelf, that had the three volumes of the light novel, Beyond the boundary, Tatsurou had read it a long time ago online, and he liked it a lot, it had a simple yet good romance between the two main leads, and it had some action to boot, and best of all, it was finished in three volumes.
"I recommend this one, Marie! It's really good!" Tatsurou said with a happy tone, as he took the three volumes of the shelf and showed them to Marie, that grabbed the first volume and looked at the cover for a bit.
"The boy on the cover, looks a bit like you, Tatsurou!" Marie said as she kept looking at the cover "R-Really?" Tatsurou asked with a surprised expression and tone "If he had black hair, he would look exactly like you!" Marie said with a tone that made her sure of what she said.
"Other than that, it looks pretty good and since you liked it, I'm going to take it!" Marie said as she placed the first volume in her basket and then took the second and third from Tatsurou's hand, placed them there too "Well then, how about we go know?" Marie said, as she turned her back to Tatsurou and began walking out of the section they were at, and as she did, Tatsurou sighed.
"I'm happy, that she liked it..." As Tatsurou said this and was about to take his leave he saw something, that caught his attention "Wait, they have the new volume of "Princess of dawning light"! No way, and it's a special edition to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the manga run!" Tatsurou said as he grabbed the newest volume and began "analyzing" it.
"I have to buy it! But, Marie is here..." As Tatsurou said this, Marie poked her head inside the section "Aren't you coming?" Marie asked a bit curious, as she looked at Tatsurou that jolted upon hearing her.
"I'm coming, I'm just choosing something for me, I will be with you, right away!" Tatsurou said as he hid the manga of "Princess of dawning light" behind his back, Marie just nodded, as she took her leave again "God, I almost got caught, what should I do...Wait, I could buy a light novel or manga that is on sale and hide this one between them!" Tatsurou said as he began choosing some other books to buy, after a bit, he took the 4 volumes of, Violet Evergarden, that were on sale...
After Tatsurou and Marie, paid up, they left the book store "Finally, we're out, sorry I took so long..." Marie said as she was holding a big bag in her right hand "Don't worry about it, it's ok, and at least you won't have to worry about not having something to read, for a while." Tatsurou said as he laughed a bit making Marie blush, with his remark.
"I'm actually impressed, by how cheap everything was...in France, this would be really expensive..." Marie said with an impressed tone and expression "Well, things here in Takamagahara tend to be cheaper thanks to a lot of the agreements, it has with the rest of the world..." Tatsurou said as he looked at the bag Marie was holding.
"I didn't know that! It should be like this in France!" Marie said still impressed, Tatsurou just smiled "That would be really good, well then, how about we go home?" Tatsurou asked, as he looked at Marie that just nodded while smiling at Tatsurou, but as they were leaving...
"Wait, a second Marie, there is another store I want to go to before we leave..." Tatsurou said as he looked at a store, that was behind Marie...
Meanwhile, back in Tatsurou's apartment, Shirayuki was sitting on the couch and she didn't have the happiest of expressions on "I don't believe it! Marie was able to convince Tatsurou, to go out on a date with her!" Shirayuki said with an angry tone as she remembered how Wise told her about, Tatsurou calling her saying that he and Marie were going to be home a bit late "I swear, Marie is really pushing it, with this!" Shirayuki said still angry, as her ahoge pointed upwards.
"I'm happy that Tatsurou and Marie are friends now, and I like to be with them, but still, Marie has been doing all of those things with him and acting as if it was nothing..." Shirayuki said as her ahoge went down, looking wavy, as if, it lost his life, it was at this moment, that she heard the front door of the apartment open "We're home!" Tatsurou and Marie said as they entered the apartment, and as Shirayuki heard this, she went to greet them at the door.
"Welcome back..." Shirayuki said with a monotonous, almost robotic voice to Tatsurou and Marie, this caught them a bit off guard "Shirayuki-san...is something wrong?" Tatsurou asked as he took off his shoes and got close to Shirayuki.
"Nothings wrong..." Shirayuki said, as she pouted and turned her back to Tatsurou, surprising him a bit "I know that Tatsurou's not at fault, but still..." Shirayuki thought as she blushed a bit and the feeling of acting jealous was starting to get to her.
"I'm sorry, for going out so suddenly, Shirayuki-san..." Tatsurou said as he looked at Shirayuki that briefly glanced at him "It's not much, but I got you something to compensate..." Tatsurou said as he reached for his school bag and gave a brand new apron that had a drawing of a cute wolf on it, to Shirayuki.
"A new apron! Why?" Shirayuki asked a bit surprised as she held and looked at her new apron "Well, it's a bit like an apology, but the main reason is that the apron your using is a hand-me-down from Wise, and I think you deserve a new one..." Tatsurou said as he scratched his cheek.
"I see..." Shirayuki said as she looked at Tatsurou "Even when he was out with Marie, he was still thinking about me..." Shirayuki thought as she looked at the apron once again "I forgive you..." Shirayuki said a bit silently, as she looked away from Tatsurou.
"What?" Tatsurou asked a bit curious, this caught Shirayuki off guard "I mean, I was a bit angry, since I made lunch for us and you two didn't show up...I don't like to waste food!" Shirayuki said as she blushed a bit "I'm sorry about that, it won't happen again, ok." Tatsurou said as he patted Shirayuki's head.
"Alright then, and also thanks for the apron, it's really cute..." Shirayuki said as she blushed once more, but this small moment was suddenly interrupted by Marie "Lucky you, Shirayuki! Why don't you try it on?" Marie said as she got close to Shirayuki and pulled her a bit away from Tatsurou.
"S-Sure, let's do that!" Shirayuki said as she, Tatsurou, and Marie went to the living room to see how the apron looked on her...

The story is a (true) harem with romance and action, that will be balanced with cute and funny moments between the characters being the norm and action packed fights also taking place!
The chapter length of each chapter hovers between 3500 and 4000 words (good for long chapter lovers!)

Online literature was still in its infancy, the current system was far less mature and sound than it would be in a couple of years, and the available subject matter wasn't rich. Everything was still in it's growing stages, and there were few clear set genre distinctions, many of the genres of the future hadn't even been properly formed yet. 
In theory if he wanted to write a new novel, he could, after all, there were the many genres of later generations to pick from but in reality though Jiang Cheng had a lot to consider.
The first problem was the real issue. Although the era of the Internet had begun, various new phrases and expressions were just emerging, it wasn't as developed as it would be in a few years. 
The culture and framework for certain types of stories just weren't in place and it would take more than one novel to create them. For example system novels, slice of life, video game novels and the different forms of cultivation novels which would be formed in the future didn't really have a place in the current literature world.
They would be formed over time naturally as things developed, which was why he created Starting Point Literature to get a slice of the cake, but trying to think of a novel to support Starting Points launch he realised a lot of novels and ideas just wouldn't blend or be deemed acceptable by others.
Looking to [Stories About The Ming Dynasty] wasn't reliable because the language was simple and at grassroot level, in order to appeal to the general public. Plus the book was about history, which was a pretty universal genre. Novels which were rich in "popular expressions'' and jokes from the future wouldn't work as well. 
Then came the subject matter. Jiang Cheng was a very cautious person, so cautious that he made sure to become an expert in Ming history in order to write [Stories About The Ming Dynasty], he wasn't willing to write about topics he didn't understand.
Finally, there was the issue of writing standard. Jiang Cheng's writing was great, and he was currently being praised as a model for everyone, so those quick cash grab novels or poorly written novels were of the table.
In this way, he narrowed down the genres he could write down to; Martial Arts, Xianxia, Magical Realism, Romance and History.
Among them, in the history category he had already written [Stories About The Ming Dynasty] so he didn't want to write another history novel. At least not until the series was completely published.
Magical Realism, he just felt was too broad plus he didn't really like the genre. 
For the Romance category there was [Autumn's Concerto] which was coming out as a TV show next year so he decided to skip it as well.
Therefore, only Martial Arts and Xianxia were left before Jiang Cheng.
Jiang Cheng loved the two themes very much. Needless to say, martial arts, who didn't dream of learning martial arts and becoming the next Bruce Lee when they were younger? Plus martial arts culture was already an integral part of Chinese culture. As for Xianxia, ​​it was actually essentially an extension of martial arts. Mythical fantasy built on the basis of martial arts.
Jiang Cheng was very optimistic about the two themes, and was slightly unwilling to give up either. However, his energy was limited. He only had little more than a month left before he had to head to school, just about enough time to write another book.
After the semester started, he wanted to properly dedicate his time to learning to act plus Shanghai Tangren would be starting filming for [Autumn's Concerto] later on and would likely call on him.
He couldn't pick anything that would take too long to write.
Having a hard time and being unable to choose, Jiang Cheng thought of Jiang Dejun and decided to ask him for his opinion.
Unexpectedly, Jiang Dejun, who had always attached great importance to traditional culture and who he thought would advise him to choose martial arts, actually chose Xianxia!
"Martial arts can be said to have a long history in our country. From the Song Dynasty's [The Seven Heroes and Five Gallants] to [Water Margin], even [Stories About The Ming Dynasty] can be said to be a martial arts novel in some ways. 
However for the Xianxia theme you're talking about, Zhuzhu's [Story of Swordsman from Shushan Mountain] is the closest I can think of but even that was not completely separated from the category of martial arts. 
Martial arts novels in recent years have been given a new rebirth by authors like Jin Yong, Gu Long, Liang Yusheng and Wen Ruian!"
"However, in recent years with the retirement of Jin Yong and the rest and there being fewer and fewer traditional literati in recent years, the amount of decent works being written has fallen. Whilst Jin Yong, Gu Long and the others helped revive and create a new school of martial arts novels, due to their standing and reputations it seems people can't escape the framework set by them!"
Jiang Dejun said whilst sighing.
"You grew up reading novels by Jin Yong, Gu Long and the others, it's too easy for you to be influenced by them. On the contrary, listening to your explanation, I think the theme of Xianxia is very good, it can give you more reign to play with your imagination and creativity, just like you did in "[Stories About The Ming Dynasty]. Of course, this is just a suggestion. It's up to you to decide which one you choose. If you choose martial arts, I look forward to seeing a new take on martial arts that can break down the current framework! "
Listening to Jiang Dejun's suggestion, Jiang Cheng was even more torn.
Martial arts novels weren't easy to write. Without profound planning, understanding of traditional Chinese culture, and a martial arts background, it was nigh impossible to write a good novel. A good martial arts novel often took several years to write, for example [The Legend of the Condor Heroes] was still constantly being revised by Jin Yong.
Then....should I choose Xianxia? Jiang Cheng questioned. 
In fact he already had a novel in mind, for Xianxia, the novel [Zhu Xian]. 
The novel [Zhu Xian] had a pivotal position in later generations of online literature. Once published in China, it soared to the Chinese, Hong Kong and Taiwanese bestsellers list. With it's imaginative and powerful narrative, it quickly became the pinnacle of Chinese Xianxia literature. It even became famous overseas after being translated.
Throughout the novel, love, affection, friendship and the battle between right and evil was brought together, the writing was beautiful and the story was vivid. With more than 30 million views online, it was hailed as a pioneering work in a new generation of domestic Xianxia novels comparable to the legendary [Story of Swordsman from Shushan Mountain], a masterpiece of Xianxia.
The plot of [Zhu Xian] had its ups and downs and the characters were distinct. It provided a unique take on a Eastern Xianxia world at the time, with grand and detailed world building. The love story was especially famous. One of the questions repeatedly explored in the book was 'what was good and evil in a world without benevolence, where the strong reigned'.
The love story between Zhang Xiaofan, Bi Yao and Lu Xueqi touched the fans of [Zhu Xian] and caused the creation of fandoms for each. People actively argued online over who they shipped more, and why one female lead was better than the other. 
The story had love, family and friendship and the way it dealt with each was thought-provoking and unforgettable. It wasn't simply a hack and slash novel like most cultivation stories would become like in the future. 
However, [Zhu Xian] wasn't flawless, and there were still issues. The most distressing and regretful thing for readers was how long Xiao Ding took to update and finish the book. The ending of the book also left many things unsolved and created plot holes.
But despite the few flaws, [Zhu Xian] was still a classic among Xianxia novels.
However, if Jiang Cheng were to write the book, he couldn't make the same mistakes, he would have to make up for these deficiencies.
But, Jiang Cheng was confident he could edit, fix out any plot holes and create a satisfying ending. 
But despite this, he still couldn't make up his mind to write [Zhu Xian]. 

Jiang Cheng a screenwriter is reincarnated to 2001, into the seventeen-year-old body of another Jiang Cheng.
