Near the end of the twenty-first century, esper powers, which, thought to be nothing but fiction, has become a reality thanks to science. Recognized by the military after WWIII, espers are now an essential fighting force and get taught in specialized schools. This story follows Karna -  a 14-year-old boy enrolled in Blank High School, one of the many schools for espers in New York City.

My name is Samuel Jonathan Victor. I am an NYC detective by day and NYC mastermind by night. I she so much influence on the cut that I practically rub the place. Every single investigation goes through me- one of the perks of being Commissioner of NYC police. Every single crime that happens in NYC goes through me- from robberies of high value to assassinations. Those crimes that don't go through me, except for the petty robberies like pick pockets, etc.... I get to know of them, but honestly I couldn't care lesser. Once I reached where I am, I started calling myself Lucifer at night. It really effs up your prey when they hear that the Devil is coming for them. Initially,  people were skeptical. Five examples later, people started to understand what I truly was. And thus, I ruled NYC, the youngest commissioner at 29, for three years masquerading as the devil at night. Then one day, I met the actual devil sitting on my couch, with a deal too good to be true

I floated in darkness. It engulfed me. That was all there was no matter where I turned to look. Every now and then I'd catch fleeting images of trees passing by me in a blur but it always lasted less then a few seconds. 

I couldn't grasp where exactly I was, but the dark gave me a sense of bliss and safety. It felt as if I was dreaming, but I was fully aware. When I pinched myself I could still feel the little bit of pain it brought.

Did I die perhaps? Before I appeared here, I was in the woods with Nyc and I was transforming into a werewolf. I remember the horrible pain and then nothing but intense hunger. And then I woke up here. Maybe I didn't survive the transformation though. I was very weak to begin with, having nearly died before then. 

Images of the cult and watching Miranda die in front of me flashed before me in the darkness. Though it went by quick, I still managed to catch a glimpse of Mirandas dead body.

She was like a sister to me, she had such big dreams. She wanted to help people, younger people mostly. Troubled teens and whatnot. That's what she was going to college for. 

And She wanted a family more than anything.

Believe it or not but she managed to help me when I went through what I thought were the worst things that could happen to me. Like when my brother killed himself. Or when my boyfriend dumped me. When I felt there was nothing for me she was there to point me in the right direction and lift me up. I owed her so much, but I couldn't save her. 

No. instead she died and I lived. 

She deserved to live way more than me. Granted I would of preferred we both lived but if I had to choose, I'd choose her. 

As more memories flashed around me, I ignored them and planted my feet on the darkness. I was surprised to find that I could do that at all though. I walked through the dark, wondering what I would do.

I would kill them all. If I woke up from this, if I am asleep that is. I would hunt down every single person that was in that cult. I don't know how yet but I would. Maybe Nyc would help me.

Even if he didn't. I was a monster now. I could tear them to pieces. 

Did I have any weakness? From the stories, werewolves were vulnerable to silver. Was that true? Or myth?

I'm sure Nyc would teach me.

No matter what though. I would avenge Miranda and the life they stole from both of us. Because of course, I can't go home. I couldn't face the pity, the hurt, and the attention from everyone that would undoubtly come. 

Its better if they think I died or disappeared.

"Ray..." The familiar voice calling my name made me freeze mid step. 

I thought I was alone but that voice...

Slowly I turned around and gasped putting my hands to my mouth. There stood Miranda, her orange curly hair was up in a ponytail, and she wore a pale pink sundress, and her favorite fuzzy grey hoodie. It was the outfit she wore before we woke up on the slab surrounded by those people.

She smiled brightly at me and I couldn't control myself. I ran towards her and threw myself at her to bear hug her. "Oh my god Miranda! I'm so sorry..."

She laughed and hugged me back, "what are you sorry for?" 

I pulled away and looked into her bright green eyes, "for not being able to save you..."

"Ah..." She smiled sadly, "that wasn't your fault Ray. We were helpless and there was nothing you could of done. Don't feel guilty for living either. I'm so happy you are still alive."

"I might still die though.."

"Mm. Nope. You'll live."

"How can you be so sure?" I found it weird that I am apparently alive, yet I'm able to see her? How is this possible?

"Because you're strong. And incredibly stubborn." 

She wasn't wrong about me being stubborn. A lot of people said that to me and I didn't like to lose. 

"If I'm going to live, how are you or me here right now?"

"Well... I'm not actually here. This is just your mind, your unconsciousness. Your basically dreaming right now. I'm only here because you were thinking about me."

Her words confused me. How can I be so aware in a dream? And why would she be able to know this is dream? My head started to hurt trying to understand this.

"Wait... But this doesn't feel like a dream."

"Ray. Your conscious mind wont be able to understand. Your body, its asleep, your mind however is awake. You are stuck in your mind though and everything you see right now, its not real. You conjured a memory of me and you're basically talking to your self through me. But I'm responding in a way that you would imagine me responding." 

"...why?" I rubbed my temple feeling confused by each word she says.

"Because you share a body with another soul. Of the wolf that's now apart of you. And currently it is in control of your body leaving you stuck inside your head."

So I'm a werewolf, but it, the wolf, has its own soul? Own thoughts? And it can take over my...our body? And I could just...stay here? With Miranda?

"Miranda how do you know this?"

"I don't. But your soul, your conscious does. Like I said your just talking to yourself through me, so that you can understand it better."

"I don't think its working. I'm highly confused."

She simply shrugged.

"Can I take back control?"

"Yes."

"What if I decide to stay here?"

"Then you can stay here. But the wolf will gain full control and you will be stuck here."

That... That didn't sound too bad. If I was in control of everything happening in this area, I could just go back to my memories, before Miranda died. I can just stay here with her... Right?

I looked at her, before closing my eyes and thinking of the day we first started college. We rented an apartment nearby the campus together and just started unpacking.

When I opened my eyes, the darkness was gone and I was in my apartment room, and Miranda was texting on her phone laying on the floor with her feet on one of the boxes.

"Man this whole unpacking thing is tiring. Wanna like just get some blankets, order pizza and watch Netflix on one of our computers?" She said keeping her gaze on her phone as she scrolled through whatever she was looking at.

It works..."sure. What do you want to watch?"

"Hmm... Something scary."

I stood up and grabbed my bag from untop the dresser pulling out my Chromebook and folding it so it looked like a tablet. I bought up Netflix and searched through the movies. 

"We got American horror story, Sinister, the boy...bird box? Any of these? Or the silence...?"

"I can always go for watching Sinister."

With that she rolled over and got up to help me set up a comfy spot on one of the beds with our blankets and pillows. When our spot looked comfortable enough she ordered pizza off of doordash and we waited for our food to arrive.

This was one of my favorite nights...and reliving it, was amazing.

Miranda walked off to the bathroom while I waited for our dasher to bring us food, I scrolled through Facebook on my phone as I did so. 

The memory began to slow down suddenly though, and I heard a piercing ringing noise that nearly deafened me...and then...

"Ray!" Nyc's voice seemed to surround me. 

It came again, his voice was filled with panic and concern as he spoke... "Ray you need to listen to me... You need to come back."

No... I didn't want to...

"I know.... in pain..." His voice began to cut in an out making it hard to hear him... "But, You ca... Ignore it this...ay. If you don't come back... Will ha... To kill you. I can't let th... Beast roam in full control..."

Why did I want to live in the first place? For revenge? How would I get it? I didn't see any of their faces. I didn't know where they were. 

Thinking back, Nyc had managed to find them in fact.. he seems to be watching them. He took notes on them and even said he keeps them from bringing back Lycaon.

I liked it here though... What's that saying? Ignorance is bliss? If I go back I have to face the harsh reality of a new life, not only with the pain of losing everything but with a monster inside me, with some stranger. 

And then what do I do if I achieve my goal for revenge? 

I could always have Nyc kill me maybe... I don't know if I could go back to society. I'd have to start over.

I'd have to be alone.

But I could do something that might save others. If I killed those horrible people, I could stop them from hurting others. Miranda would agree that stopping them is better than giving up and letting them win.

I gave my apartment one last sorrowful look and made up my mind. I'd go back. I'd kill those mother fuckers. And I'd make sure they'd suffer the way Miranda and I did.

"You're desire for revenge will only end you..." His eyes roamed my face, showing me pity, "And you will be yet another disappointment."

His words stung. But this was all I had now, and my anger and hatred for what happened to my friend and me was stronger than the feelings Nyc made me feel.

I bared my teeth at him and growled as I pushed him away, "Then so be it."

Everything I write and post is with a passion of writing in mind. I love to write and control my own world of fantasies As each week goes by, I will write about another prompt I find or even answer you guys prompts.

Damien could feel the darkness of his past consume him little by little. The guilt and shame of what he did was eating him alive.  The endless possibilities of what could have happened, if he didn't do what he did.  He always thought she was at fault.  He was so self-centered that he didn't wanted to see or look out for Lillian.  And when he did, I was already too late. 

He didn't know what more to expect from life.  He was already defeated.  He lost people he loved, and now after tell Vaidehi, how f*cked he is,  she will leave him too.  He was sure of it.  He has gone so deep in self loathing that he was sure he was curse. A curse that always snatched people he loved.  Just one mistake–a mistake that he made by assuming thing on his on.  

He loved her.No doubt on that , but the mistake that he did.  That made him no less than his father.  He was never there for Damien and he did the same with Lillian.  
When he was suppose to stand next to her and fight for his love, he backed of for one reason.  Because he was blind in anger. He never tried to see or look out for Lillian. He was so consumed with his need and emotions that he ignored and didn't tried to listen to the person who was there for him. His best friend,  the one who took care of him. He was really a monster.  Just like his father. 

"After our family members got to know about Lillian's pregnancy,  there was a huge fighting between both the family. My step-dad asked for a paternity test. Lillian was mad. Mad is understatement to describe that. She was furious.She straight away refused to do that.  I saw that broken look on her face when they asked her to get a paternity test. I saw everything, but I didn't utter a single word. I saw her break into pieces by pieces. I–I saw how she looked at me in hole–hope that I will fight for her. But I–I was just not ready to see the truth in her eyes.I wish I could stop myself from committing this crime, Vaidehi."He sobbed quietly.

"Sh–she was alone. I knew that was my baby.  Our baby.  But I was not ready to forgive her. Not ready to believe anything. I w–was so stupid Vaidehi. Just a week before I moved her in NYC, sh–she came to my home. She sat near the gate of my house. She was cr–crying. When she saw me,  ran into my arm.  She said he father was forcing her to get an ab–abortion. She need me. She was not re–ready to lose ou–our baby.  All she need was my support.She said everything that day. At first ,I was totally not ready to listen. I–I knew that was my baby, I did had blurry memory of that night. I di–did remember bits and pieces. But everytime I tried to forgive her or at least listen to her reason, what she did after that night flashed infront of my eyes. I didn't knew she never cheated, until that day. When she made me see the truth. Forcefully though." He chuckled darkly.

"When she said that her fa–father wanted her to abort our baby,  I went chill run down my spine. But the stu–stubborn me,  was not ready to listen to her reason. She held my hand and pulled me into my room and locked the door. I tried to protest, bu–but she held me tightly.I–It wasn't easy for me to see her cry and beg for forgiveness. I wanted to hold her. But the feeling of betrayal has blinked my vision.Sh–she held my hand and placed in in her stomach. I–I could feel my daughter, Vaidehi. I sat still as she said why she did that. She said how she was getting threatening text from the guy who told me that she cheated on me.  Sh–she said how he has made a morph video of her and how he threatened her by saying that he will kill me if she didn't break up. I just sat there listening to her. I –I didn't know how to react. I co–could feel guilty and shame consuming me. I wrong her, Vaidehi. She was my best friend,  who could I not believe in her. I am just like my father, Vaidehi. A monster. " He didn't meet Vaidehi eyes.  He was so ashamed of himself. 

"I just looked at her with a blank face. I –I felt like a loser. I fe–felt defeated. And than I decided something. A decision that changed our life.I wanted to do thing right, I wan–want to say sorry, but no words came out from my mouth. It was like, I lo–lost the ability to do so. She looked at me and asked me if I really believe her. I–I didn't answer,  all I could do was nod. I just don't know what do so after that. She just held me tightly sobbing in my arm.  And all I did he–held her tightly. And at that moment,  instead of saying sorry to her and fight for us.  I took a decision. I–I asked her to elope with me. A–As I was moving here to NYC from London, I told her to come with me. I ju–just wanted to make things right. A decision that I –I regret till date.Who knew that this one decision would change our life? Who knew that I was about to lose her after coming here? " He looked down and toyed with the ring in his hand. The same ring that they found inside the teddy. 

"My feeling where all over the place.  It was like, I did forgave her,  I was feeling guilty and ashamed of what I had to put her through,  but something part of me, the very insecure part of be was overthinking and overanalyzing the situation. It was like I was in between a whirlwind of emotions. I tried to bury that feeling,  if only I didn't do that. If only I was more open about my feeling.I won't have lost her forever, Vaidehi." Listening to him,  Vaidehi body stilled. She didn't know what to expect next. This guy who was sitting next to has suffered so much.  Was slowly getting eaten by the darkness of his past. The guilt,  the shame and the self loathing was written Lal over his face.  He was totally consumed by the darkness of his past.  

"W–we ,well I,  told her it was best for us to elope right now. She protested at first, b–but I made her understand. I just wanted to ma-make thing right.  And about abortion ,I know we it was my baby.  And I was not ready to lose it just like her.  I was slowly starting to understand her feeling. The only reason why I sugg–suggested to elope. I knew that her father would do something anything to get it done. And I told her to go our friends house for a stay. Everything was planned in just one moment.  We were naive and were in love." He eyes turned red and his skin paled. 

"Somehow, she got permission to stay at her friends house for the night.  And by than I planned everything to elope the next day with her.  I knew her father would go to any extend. He was a sheriff,  a very corrupted one.  I knew his dirty ways.  I–I know re that he could go to an–any extend to get what he wants. I wanted to protect her from him,  but who knew that she need protection from me?  Who knew my whirlpool of emotions and insecurities was going to be be end of o–our stor-story? "He hiccuped and closed his eyes. His hands kept toying with the ring. 

"The next day,  we eloped from there just like I planned. I–I somehow got a place to stay here.  It was one bed room apartment. We struggled a lot,  at least the first few months. With constant fear that Lillian's father will find us.  I tried to maintain both my college and tried to take care of her. Soon a man came to our college, he saw my designed and he hired me in is fashion house That was the second most biggest mistake I did, Vaidehi."

"And our relationship,  it  slowly started to loose it spark.  We fought almost everyday. He mood swings didn't helped at all, and deep down I knew things were not right.  I was just not ready to accept that. My emotional baggage ,that was stuffed somewhere deep in the corner of my heart played it's game. I lo–lost her, Vaidehi.  I lost her before I could tell her, how sorry I was. "He sobbed and clenched his hand in fist.  He jaw set and his eyes closed as tears fell and roll down his cheeks.

"She died, Vaidehi. She di–died a month after giving birth to Lilly. Sh–she couldn't e-even be there for her daughter in her first birthday. It wa–was all her father's doing.  H–he used my emotions against us. And like a puppet I–I be–believed him. And when I realized,  I was al–already to late."Vaidehi body stilled listening to the truth.

" So, Mr. Edgy-Demon guy, where are we headed to?" Alex asks

" Don't call me that, and we have to head to NYC"

The two of them shout out in excitement,

"NYC!!"

" But Lucifer, that's a little far from here"

(They live in Albany, New York)

" It's not that far, and walking might be good for the two of you shut-ins"

" I think we'll just take a train.."

Alex and Adir get their bags together and head out to Albany-Rensselaer Amtrak Station

(Fun fact: The Albany-Rensselaer Amtrak Station has a direct train to Penn Station in NYC)

They arrive at the station, and pay for 2 tickets for a one-way ride to NYC and enter their train.

" So uh, Lucifer, what about our parents? What are we going to do about them? Won't they come looking for me and Alex?"

" Don't worry, we'll arrange things for you two when we get to our destination."

Authors Note* (For those of you wondering, Lucifer is appearing from the curse seals on Adir's back, he isn't in his own body)

 Most of the train ride was silent, and they only began to talk once they arrived at Penn Station.

" So, where do we go from here?" Adir asks

" Franklin Place I believe."

" You better not be joking around right now…" Alex says

They look up directions to Franklin Place and walk to the location on the gps. After a while they finally arrive at their destination. The road is filthy, and looks extremely sketchy to Adir and Alex

" Are you sure this is the right place Mr. Edgy Devil guy?" Alex asks

"I'm not edgy…. And yes, this is the right place" 

" Then what do we do now?"

" Are you by chance looking for me? How flattering."

Adir and Alex look up to see a sketchy man wearing a Hawaiian print button up, a bucket hat, khakis, and sandals crouching on a fire escape. Adir then whispers in Lucifers ear,

" What is that homeless man doing up there..?"

" He isn't homeless, that's Robert Len!"

Robert jumps down from the fire escape and leans on the wall next to them.

" Hehe, it's fine, I get that all the time, now hurry up and come inside."

" Inside where, a crackhouse?" Alex says

" Don't worry.. You'll see.."

A purple energy begins to emit from Robert's finger and he touches a brick with the numbers 1010 on it and the bricks start to disappear, opening an entrance to a bar with a small number of people inside.

" Hurry up! We wouldn't want people seeing two minors walking into a bar now would we?"
Alex and Adir walk into the bar in amazement and the bricks start to fade away. An attractive girl from inside the bar says,

" Oh my… Is it really him? And who's this? My my, it seems some young men have wandered into our bar…"

Alex's face turns beet red and gets a nosebleed as she approaches him and falls to the floor.

" Is he gonna be okay?" Robert asks

" Yeah, he's just flustered that's all." Adir says

" Well anyways, welcome to Impish Ale, one of the many demon safehouses in NYC. Care for a drink?"

" A soda would be fine." Adir says

Robert goes behind the bar and grabs out a can of soda with the label Brite on it and slides it over to Adir and he opens it and takes a sip.

" Mr. Len, I have a question?" Adir aks

" What is it?"

" Could you please explain to me, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!"

" Calm down, I bet you have a bunch of questions, but please, keep it to one at a time, ok?"

Adir calms down, taking big breaths and starts to ask him questions.

" First, how do you know who I am already?"

" That's a pretty good question you have there"

" See, I've been selected to watch over everything Mr. Lucifer over here does. So I keep tabs on everyone he's ever even considered to be his summoner, including you Adir."

" So you've been stalking me…"
" No… well kinda. But enough about me, have you activated your summon yet Adir?"

" What about me? Don't I have a summon too?" Alex asks

" No, but you're going to get something similar, don't worry." Robert responds

Alex looks at Len with a disappointed face but cheers up pretty quickly after seeing Adir's face full of curiosity.

" Now, look closely Adir, do you see the mark on my hand?"

" Yeah, I also have one, but what about it?"

" This mark is the key in using our summons. When your summon tells you the name of the weapon that it uses, concentrate, and with the marked hand, try to use your magic to make that weapon."

Robert, with his marked hand, makes out almost a cross like shape in the air with his  magical energy and a double bladed axe appears in his hand.

" See this? This is my summon, its name is Akili and with it, comes an axe with two edges."

Adir looks at his own mark, and realizes that it resembles an upside-down crucifix and asks Lucifer,

" Could you tell me what our weapon is?"

" Of course, the weapon we use is a staff."

Adir was surprised by this and concentrated, closing his eyes and using his marked hand, figures out a staff in the air, and a black energy laced with a darkish-red seeps from his mark and a basic staff with a skulled top appears in his hand.

" So this is the power of a devil huh…" Adir says

This is a story of a war which was passed down from gods to humans. Through the possession of human bodies, Angels and Demons alike fight each other over an ancient ordeal dating over 1,000 years. This war started from Lucifer’s never ending grudge over his father, eventually cursing all who resided in the Golden Road. Due to the Devil’s power being toxic to most human bodies, he has had only 1 successful summoner, though was only able to reach 20% of his true power, until finally, a new successor for his strength comes into the midst.



I went back to Aiden's house an hour later and that woman just left the house. I saw Aiden was smiling so much as he entered the living room and instantly changed into a serious expression as soon as our eyes met. 

He has changed so sudden. It's really weird. Did I do something wrong to him that makes him mad at me? 

"Hey...Kiki," the little puppy approached me, asking me to rub him on its belly. "You're so cute, you know that..." that puppy seemed so happy when I rubbed his belly and even slowly fell asleep afterwards. 

"Hey guys...." Laura who just came home from her workplace greeted me and Aiden who was sitting awkwardly at our seat. Me on the floor with Kiki, meanwhile for Aiden on the sofa right in front of the TV. "Whoa...what's this situation. Why it feels cold here???" 

Our eyes met again, but then quickly moved away our eyes. 

"Hmmm whatever....so I brought pizza for our dinner tonight and Shawn will be back with beers in 30 minutes." Laura continued and showed no interest to find out what happened to both of us. 

"That's great...." Aiden replied coldly without even looking at his friend instead just scrolling something on his iPhone. "Oh by the way, I think I'm gonna return to NYC in 3 days. There's a thing I need to settle with Sierra there." 

"Wait what???" Laura replied in shocked. 

Even I was in shocked too when heard Aiden's words. 

Sierra??? Is that woman. Who is she?? How can she change him so much in, one day???! 

"W-what about, Mia?? You said you want to help her but...-" Laura couldn't even finish her words when suddenly Aiden stood up on his feet then walked closer to Laura and me. "Well, you can take care of her. Just like I said, I need to settle things in NYC. Maybe some preparations for our wedding..." 

Laura and I gave each other looks. Both of us were in surprised by everything that came out from his mouth. 

"Wedding???" Laura replied in disbelief. "Seriously, Aiden...I don't even know her. Besides, you just hung out with her for a couple of days. Now you talk about marriage? You said you still love Mia....but now-" 

Aiden suddenly interrupted her, "Mia is dead....it's time for me to move on from her. So now, I want you to take care of this new...*turns to me with cold eyes*... Mia and I will be returning to NYC in two days." 

Whoa....did he just said. Plus, his eyes looked so weird, as if like he was under a spell or something. 

The real Aiden is usually not like this. I think I need to ask Dylan to investigate that suspicious stewardess.

"So, I got the info about her," Dylan and I meet up at his place in the next evening. He seemed to get some information regarding of that mysterious girl named, Sierra. "Her name is Sierra Richards and used to to work with Aiden several times. She lives in NYC, just like Aiden and also she known as the goddess among the stewardesses." Dylan handed over the picture of her to me. 

"Arghhh, why did she appear at this critical moment???" I complained. "How am I going to get Aiden's love for before he left for NYC in a few hours???" 

That's it! I need to do something, fast. 

I went back to Aiden's house then looked for him, but I couldn't find him anywhere. "Where is he?? Why did I feel a bad thing is going to happen to us?" 

I didn't noticed myself that I was tearing up in the middle of Aiden's room. I...I couldn't help myself from it. I don't want to die yet...and I don't want to lose Aiden either. 

"How am I suppose to tell him that I'm Mia?" I murmured to myself. 

"Are you being serious??" Laura suddenly came in at the door step out of nowhere even looked in surprised as I turned to look at her. 

"Are you really??" She almost exposed my true identity but I managed to stop her by swiftly ran towards her and covered her mouth. 

"Please...don't say it," I begged for her. "And yes...I'm so sorry for keeping it as a secret from you. I have my reason and hopefully, you will understand." 

She just nodded with me and slowly I removed my hand from her. "Do you know where Aiden is?" 

"He left to the airport 15 minutes ago," she was tearing up when replied my question. "He's getting married in a week...I don't know what's going on with him and that girl, but I believe there is something not right about her. Even Aiden acted so different these past few days." 

"Yes, I noticed it too..." I replied. "In that case, I probably be dead so soon..." 

Laura widened her eyes as heard the words came out from my mouth, "What do you mean about that?? Is that true??? Mia, I...I'm so confused right now." 

"I really can not explain it...but you need to help me. I'll be dead for sure if Aiden got married to that girl. Please, Laura, help me get to Aiden." 

"O-ohh...God...of course I will help you," she became even more panicked. "Let's go...before it's too late." 

"Thank you, Laura...." I was so glad that I have a friend like her. She is so nice to me even though I lied to her about my identity.

I guess I was so concentrated on singing that I didn't hear when Andrew came back. He stood at the bedroom's entrance, watching me closely. I was standing at the window, looking out of it.

"My my, you sounded like an angel~." He said, startling me slightly. 

Turning around, I started to turn red as a tomato. "H-hehe. H-how long have you b-been standing th-there?"

"Uh, I guess nearly since you started singing."

"O-Oh!"

"Anyways, I'm also guessing you searched our current location?"

"Yes, I did."

"And?"

"You're crazy!"

"Why?"

"Because!! I've never gone anywhere beside NYC! I'm really new to traveling...it slightly makes me feel sick.."

"Hm...are you not from Tokyo?"

"I was there for a short time before moving with my foster parents near NYC..." I lied hoping he would not notice it wasn't the truth. 

I was actually born in the World of Immortals. A whole different dimension. Then, when I started living with my foster parents, was came to the humans dimension. For a while, we stayed in Tokyo that was somewhat like my birth place. Then, we moved to a place that was a few hours away from NYC. Unfortunately, I do not know what that place was called.

"Oh, I see." He said with a strange tone. 

Looking away to avoid eye contact, my phone suddenly vibrates. Checking it, I see it's a text from my once older foster brother, Shade Midnight Mia.

[text- Be careful. They are after you again now that you are starting a new life.]

So, Silver and Roxas are going after me to kill me again huh? This is about the third time. I already have someone who hates and envies me. Her name is Hinata Tsunatsu. A girl from the Tsunatsu bloodline who is currently after the prince of the bloodline--Leon. 

Putting my phone to the side, I let out an irritated sigh. 

"Is everything okay?" Andrew asked.

Not wanting to worry him much, I give him a cute smile, "Of course!"

Andrew blushes lightly as he looks away slightly pouting, "Come on. The food is getting cold."

He then walks away. I couldn't help but laugh due to his reaction. Thinking about what happened minutes ago, I started blushing. I never sang in front of no one unless I had to. And when those moments came, I would sing in English. Not any other language like Japanese. 

"He heard me singing in Japanese....."

Shrugging away the thought, I walk out the room and head to the dining table.

"So, this was the healthiest thing they had here." He said.

"Okay." I said as I sat down.

Andrew then serves the breakfast and sits next to me.

"Itdakimasu!" I said as I started eating.

Andrew smiled small and too started eating.

"The government contract, we got it but we have to involve the American companies on it, that's the condition we should accept" Nate explained to her 
"....." She looked angrier but Nate cut her 
"Keep your emotion for now, you definitely need that later in NYC." Nate told her while he smiled widely
"I really hate those American consortiums, you need to be tough on them!" He said it as he left her, walking downstairs. Stephanie quickly grabbed her bag and walked behind him. Barbara was waiting downstairs, when she saw Nate and Stephanie walked, she decided to speak up.
"Madam, breakfast?" 
"NO!" She walked past her, Nate just smiled bitterly to Barbara and both of them left the penthouse, heading to the office.

After meeting
"It really pissed me off when we're the one who have to travel to NYC regularly!" Stephanie said to Nate as both of them exiting the building, heading to the smoking area
"I never like that city, never!" Nate added
"Full of annoying billionaire people?" Stephanie asked as she laughed hard
She quickly lit her cigarette when they arrived. However, Nate went silent for a moment before saying, "Care to tell what's happened?" He asked her about this morning incident at the penthouse
"Martin went to Chicago" She said it shortly without additional explanation
Nate quickly understood what it is about, he then said "I wish one day things would change…." He looked away to the street 
"I am okay! Don't worry" Stephanie patted his shoulder, put a fake smile in front of him
"Don't you dare to fake your smile in front of me girl! I knew you better than yourself!" Nate warned her
"I think…." He hasn't finished his words when Stephanie cut him
"Don't suggest me for another ONS or to find other men…" She said to him as she threw away her cigarette 
"Martin found out about my ONS and he was mad," Stephanie added
"No way! I tried my best!" Nate was surprised. He did his job perfectly, deleting all the evidence in the club and kept people silent on it, but in the end, he can't compete with Martin. He is too powerful and he can get whatever he wants, for sure. 
"Well, we know how capable he is!" Stephanie patted his shoulder and started to walk
"I want to eat Sushi" She said to Nate, who quickly threw his cigarette and walked after her
"As you want, baby girl!"

Stephanie went home and found that Martin hadn't arrived yet. She couldn't help but felt angry. She dialed Nate's number.
"Let's go to NYC tomorrow morning!" 
They walked out from the private jet around afternoon and quickly headed to the hotel. 
"Wanna go out tonight?" Nate asked before they went to their room separately 
"Why not?" She agreed to his idea shortly. She still angry toward Martin, she need to lose it for a while
After dinner, both of them headed to one of the luxury clubs around Manhattan. 
"So, just drinking?" Nate teased her
"I don't dare to offend Martin again, Nate!" Stephanie warned him
"Alright" Nate smiled at her
Meanwhile, Liam dragged Luke to the club, trying to help his best friend to get a hooker. Luke was angry the whole day since his plan for the whole week business trip to Europe is scattered because their business partner from SF suddenly called for a consortium meeting tomorrow. He threw himself on the sofa, poured whiskey to his glass. Unlike Liam who enjoyed other women's company, Luke only drank the whole night. When he had enough whiskey, he stood and lazily scanned the club from his VIP seat. He was a little bit tipsy when he saw Stephanie in the club. 
'Steph….' He called her name with a weak voice
"Luke...come here!" Liam called him
He turned his face to Liam for a while but he turned to the place where he saw Stephanie. He lost her, she wasn't there. 'Maybe it's just my hallucination! It is New York anyway, she is in San Francisco' He told himself as he walked toward Liam

"The meeting is at 9 am sharp and they want us to go to their hotel! WTF!!!" Liam complained while Luke just walked lazily next to him, heading to the meeting room. 
"I'll go to the toilet first!" he told Liam when he saw the toilet sign just right before the meeting room was located.  
Liam nodded to him and walked to the meeting room with James, leaving Luke behind. As he was about to reach the gents toilet, a woman who was busy on the phone, walked passing him. He saw her back and suddenly it reminded him of Stephanie. He was surprised for a while and thought, 'Is that her?' 
He suddenly decided to go after her, he walked to the ladies toilet and when he entered, he saw a woman who was fixing her makeup in front of the mirror. It is her, his Stephanie…..

When I was a little teenager, I always wanted the life of a  celebrity. And now that I have one, it can be summoned in just two great words and that is 'fucking irritating'.

The manager of RAINE MARIE, MADARA MELVIN greeted us and gave a simple and straight hotel tour. Soon after I declared them to arrange the presidential suite as for resting and giving my mind a break to process what had and what might happen to me in the passing hours till I finally say goodbye to NYC again and try to stay away from it like I did the past ten years.
