Sheila, the supposed guide of Dungeon Master El Reid, stood up and the streams of light that surrounded her disappeared. She walked towards the other end of the room, where Dungeon Master El Reid is currently dying.


Yes, despite having his whole body blasted to the wall, he didn't die instantly and is instead grasping for straws. Still, with the various broken bones and brutal wounds he has, he would die a minute later if he isn't healed.


The sound of her steps echoed in the empty room, and is accompanied by the continuous dripping of blood. The sound stopped when she was only a meter away from his body. 


She flicked her hand and weaved strange gestures, and dark markings appeared on the body of the Dungeon Master. Every marking that appeared on the Dungeon Master's body glowed and gave off a gentle light. 


When his body was fully covered with markings, she stopped moving. Her whole body glowed a silver light with a tinge of blue.


"Heal and Reform"

At her command, the light from her body and his, like a growing and raging tide, entered inside his body. As if his body was sentient, they joined and repaired themselves, until not a single scar was found in his body.


After using her powers, her face was as pale as a sheet. Wiping the sweat of her face she looked at the system notifications.

She sat down near his body, and entered a meditative state. However, this time, there were no longer any faint streams light, or Mana, surrounding her.

I opened my eyes, and was greeted by a strong ache coming from all parts of my body. The pain made it hard for me to see. Thus, I can only make out the figure of a girl sitting in front of me.


 'If I remember correctly, I was sent to my dungeon by that damned system. How come my body hurts so much? and then there's this girl.'


"You're awake."


Her voice was very pleasant to hear, it was comparable to the voice-actors in my last life. 


"... Yeah, and who are you?"


"I'm Sheila. I'm here to be your beginner guide in the world called Meta Plane."


'Beginner guide? Considering my situation, I really do need one.'


My sight regained its clarity and I could clearly see her now. She was remarkable beauty wearing a deep azure robe. Her hair was doused with the color silver and her eyes shared a similar color to her robe.


She pointed her finger at the empty air, and suddenly, something similar to the holograms in sci-fiction works appeared. It was the hologram of four planets, each looked completely different from the other. Every planet has four moons, and each moon is located at the different ends of the planet.

 I noticed that all four planets have this one chain all connected to what looked like a floating continent. 'Is this the Meta-Plane?'


"This is the Meta-Plane. The Meta-Plane is composed of four different planets, all of which are linked by the astral chains from the central realm. This is because the life force of the four planets stem from the central realm."


'So that floating continent is the central realm?' "Do Gods and the like live In the central realm?"


"This information is beyond your level of permission," she answered in indifference. "Let me continue, the planet we are in is the Primal Exodus; and the continent we are in is the Aleora Continent."


With a wave of her wand, a planet similar to Earth appeared. Unlike Earth, there were only three large continents, all of which are very far apart from the other. She pointed at the continent located at the middle part of the Planet. 


"Now, let me discuss the existence of dungeon masters. Dungeon Masters are the proclaimed fourth calamity of the Meta-Plane. Your very existence is for the sake of sowing chaos and destruction."


....If it were still a game, it would have been fine. However, the beings of this "Meta-Plane" are definitely made up of real flesh and blood. 


Seeing my reluctance, she indifferently said " This is your destiny as a Dungeon Master. You can't avoid nor change it. Even if you were to act merciful and spare everyone, would it guarantee that everyone else would be the same. You are not the only Dungeon Master after all."


"Plus the entire Meta-Plane views your existence as a plague and would do everything in their power to annihilate you."


"...."


That's... correct. But I wasn't really reluctant about the fact that I have to kill. I sighed and asked her another question.


"Okay, Miss Sheila. Could you explain what do I have to do as a Dungeon Master?"


She flipped her hand and the hologram changed into a mountain surrounded by a thick forest. At the bottom of the mountain, is a large opening.


"This is a dungeon entrance. This is your dungeon entrance."


'That's my dungeon entrance?' That large and crude looking opening is my dungeon entrance. Aren't dungeon entrances supposed to be something grand like a huge door inscribed with images that scare the spirit out of those that want to enter?


Then the hologram changed again, now into what seemed to be the infrastructure of the mountain. Three rectangular figures stacked together were highlighted. She pointed to the upper rectangle and said "This is the first floor of your dungeon and successively below is the second and third floor."


Then she pointed to the left most corner of the lowest rectangle, it was a square and in it was a flame marking. 


"This is the Dungeon Master's room, where the Dungeon's Soul Flame is located. If the soul flame is extinguished, the dungeon dies along with it's master. The converse is also true. If you die, your dungeon dies along with. Why? Because the soul flame is both your and the dungeon's source of life. In other words, you and your dungeon have the same soul."


'... That makes.... no sense at all. How did my soul materialize into a souf flame? Wait, is a soul flame a physical entity in the first place. More importantly, does that mean my current body right now has no soul?' Theoretically, if a body doesn't contain a soul, wouldn't it be a conscious-less bag of meat?


Oblivious to my internal dilemma, she grabbed my body and pulled me out of the wall. '... How come I was in the wall in the first place?'


She let my body lean on hers and  pointed at the center of the room." That's your soul flame."


I followed her finger and saw a grey flame that constantly released a feeling of death. 'So that's my soul flame. 'This strong sense of familiarity, it's similar to seeing your long lost brother after years of separation.'


"Hey, Miss Sheila, does the soul flame embody what kind of person its owner is?"


She nods and continues saying in indifference "Lastly, for the sake of protecting the soul flame and realizing the ultimate goal of you Dungeon Masters, you have been bestowed with the Dungeon System. It allows you to modify your dungeon, place traps and create monsters. Either to defend or invade."


'This sounds interesting, Dungeon System is it?' Although destroying civilizations and taking the lives of millions of millions of beings isn't my thing, I don't have that much of a choice. Since that's the case, I might as well ride the tides and seek high.


With this new found aspiration, I confronted her with blazing eyes.


"So how do I use this Dungeon System?"


She tilted her head and tapped against the floor. I couldn't tell what she is thinking with her emotionless face.


"Dungeon Master El Reid."


She pauses and looks straight at me, before she continues.


"You have to be LVL.0 at minimum to access the Dungeon System."


Her words emptied my head. The silence flowed for a long time until I asked.


"Seriously?"

Ehhh... If I remember correctly, It all started when I downloaded a certain app recommended by my best friend. It was a game about heroes conquering dungeons and beauties. The typical stuff. Since I was bored, then why not? However, never did I expect....

 El Reid: "System, why send me here when, other than the synopsis, I know absolutely nothing about the game?"

I believe that my novel is not a FAN fiction because 97% of my story is original. The only unoriginal from my story is the race and power of Eduardo as a saiyan. I planned to change this, only the name, maybe like Shaiyan or Shiyin. But in the future, his race will completely change, or rather, evolve. The other unoriginal terms from my story is [SPOILER ALERT] from the tournament arc where characters from Marvel, DC, anime, movies, and games will be introduced, and probably characters from other novels. At that point, this story will become meta. Maybe if I reached that point in the official novel, I'll just change their names like Superman, into Megaman or Ssuperman.

At present, the difference between the Fan-Fic and Novel versions of this novel is that in the Novel section, it is polished and most of the grammar, spelling, and punctuation are corrected.

I hope you understand where I'm going with this, because if my prediction is correct the novel will have a total of 1,500 chapters with 1,500 - 3,000 words per chapter. Tournament Arc is around chapter 800

Hakai was a normal, average guy... at least he thought so, and this is how he died.
It was just a normal day. He was heading home from work when a little girl approached him.
"What do you think of dying?" the girl asked.
He was pretty weirded out when she asked me this but he answered her, "Uhh, probably painful. Are you lost?"
As he thought about it some more, he definitely didn't want to die. He still hasn't gotten laid yet even though he was 19.
"I'm not lost and you're wrong. Dying might be painful, but once you die, you're free." The girl giggled. "Well, it doesn't matter. You're destined to die here anyway."
As she said that, black, feathery wings sprouted from her back and a black scythe bigger than her body appeared in her hands.
'What the fuck? She has wings? Why does she have wings? And did she just say I was about to die? Fuck this shit. I'm out.'
Hakai has seen enough horror movies to know that you don't mess with little girls that are talking about death, especially when they have an oversized scythe on them.
"Peace, I'm out."
With those words, he turned around to run the other way.
Hakai hoped that he was just hallucinating, but he was proven wrong when the little girl swooped in with her wings and picked him up by his shirt.
"Huh, you're a weird one. You've passed your destined date to die. If I recall, you were supposed to die from a heart attack," the girl said.
"Put me down and of course I wouldn't die. Dying of a heart attack isn't a cool way to die."
"Pfft!" The girl giggled. "Your soul is an abnormal one. I'll get a bonus for bringing you in."
"Whoah, wait a minute. What are you and what are you going to do to me?"
"We have many names but I guess you could call me a grim reaper. Don't worry this won't hurt," she said as she brought the scythe closer to him.
'I can't die here. I'm gonna die a virgin? What the hell kinda luck is this?'
"Wait. Don't-"
As her scythe made contact with his head, he found himself in a completely white world surrounded by nothing but white.
"H-hello? Is anyone there? Little girl? Did I die?" he called out.
"Hmm, another soul that has passed the Trial of Souls," a voice said.
"Huh? Who are you and what do you mean by 'passing the Trial of Souls?'" he asked.
"Well, quite simply. I'm the God Of Reincarnation and by the 'Trial of Souls', it means that your soul has absorbed so much Aether that it is too strong to be reincarnated."
'What the hell? This is straight out of a fiction novel.'
"What does that mean then? Am I just stuck in this white room?"
"No, you can still reincarnate, but because of your excess of aether, you'll keep your memories of your past life and I'll have to use your excess Aether to grant you a reasonable wish in your next life."
"For real?!" As a guy who read a lot of fanfictions and web novels in his free time, this was one of his dreams.
"Yup," the voice replied. "With the amount of excess Aether that you have, I can grant you a maximum of 6 wishes. Do note though that these wishes aren't omnipotent meaning there are limits."
Hakai thought to himself as he bit his non-existent lip since he didn't actually have a body right now.
'If this was a novel, It'd be an isekai novel and I would be the protagonist. With 6 wishes, I can make myself OP, but first, I need to know something.'
"Can I choose which world I get reincarnated to? Even if it's a fictional one?"
"Yes you can and as an added benefit, you'll be able to switch worlds after a year of residing in your world of choice."
"Ok, then I know what my wishes are!" Hakai began reciting his wishes. "For my first wish, I want to have a system. For my second wish, I want to be a dragon. For my third wish, I want to have Absolute Weapon Proficiency. For my fourth wish, I want to have Meta Crafting. For my fifth wish, I want to modify what I look like, and for my sixth and last wish, I want a shop system that will let me buy anything from other universes for a price."
"The system is fine. Same with the being a dragon, but you don't have enough Aether to get Absolute Weapon Proficiency and Meta Crafting. You'll have to choose which one to keep and which one to downgrade."
"That's fine. Can you downgrade the Meta Crafting then?" Meta crafting was good to have, but for Hakai, he'd rather have the knowledge of a master swordsman, spearman, etc.
"Ok then moving on. The fifth wish is fine, and the shop system is fine. Great now I just need to know what world you're going to."
Hakai thought long and hard. With these wishes, or should he call them cheats, he could basically go to any world he wanted, but which to go to first.
After a few minutes of thinking, he went with the first anime that he fell in love with: One Piece.
"Now, modify what you look like and you'll be sent into the world of One Piece. Don't worry. I've made it easy to use so you can make yourself look like whatever you want."

A blue window appeared in front of him with a hologram beside it showing what he would look like. Since he was a dragon, he was actually customizing what his dragon form would look like currently.
After a bit of fine-tweaking, he finished customizing his dragon form and he now started to customize his human form since dragons inherently had the power to transform into forms of different races.
"I'm done!"

Almighty Law Creation: Users can create laws that cannot be broken in any way.  Everything is subject to them, including Existence, Reality, Truth, and Logic.

Absolute Destruction: The user can destroy everything indefinitely, from concepts, limits and causation, to studies such as metaphysics and science, even irrational "concepts" such as the fabric of nothingness or the totality itself. The user can also destroy Emptiness and Nothing itself.

Nonexistence: The user can completely destroy anything and everything, including the totality itself without any protection or exception.

There are two main categories of targets: concrete and abstract. Used on concrete targets, the power had an effect similar to Nothingness Manipulation, effectively annihilating objects and creatures. However, when used on an abstract target, the effect is more subtle and similar to Logical Manipulation, annihilating the appropriate target and resetting reality accordingly.  For example, removing the concept of "door" will not only remove the door, but also replace it with an appropriate wall section as if it never existed.

Users can primarily determine the "accuracy" of their removal by targeting different levels of presence.  For example, targeting the physical level alone allows for the continuous existence of the soul and the creation / occupants of new vessels, and targeting the spiritual level alone removes the soul while leaving the body untouched. In both cases, recreation of the soul and body can be attained with quite advanced faculties, since the existential knowledge that defines them (templates) is still woven into the essence of the cosmos. However, targeting the conceptual level removes these existential foundations, leaving no possibility of restoration at a later date except indirectly through removal of the removal by targeting the substrate change itself. Likewise, targeting can be limited to the present only, preserving previous history,

Manipulation of Nothingness: The user can create, shape and manipulate nothing, an absence of an entity or substance;  by this they can remove energy and matter from existence, simply by making things disappear, preventing energy from being understood or through various other means. They can control the essence of oblivion, enabling them to erase immortality, remove targets from all timelines in every dimension, transform, reverse, or negate energy;  etc.  It can also lead to the ultimate goal of "destroying matter," such as removing it from existence.


Logical Manipulation: The user can achieve essentially impossible feats quickly, and freely redefine what is and is not possible. This ability can come from some very transcendent force, or just exist without many causes. With it, the user can shape reality, metaphysics, and cause and effect with just a single thought, and ignore all the rules as if they didn't exist at all.

Origin Manipulation: The user can create, become, change and control the origin of everything. Since nothing exists without origin, not even itself, this power is beyond all comprehension by any being that can ever be known. By manipulating the origin, one can achieve absolutely anything, so that nothing is out of reach. The user can even be immune to Master Erase by being the origin of the erasure, therefore bypassing all effects.

Non Created Physiology: Users are non-created beings with no origin at all because they have always existed from the start. This means that they not only created themselves nor were they created by others or even appeared, but rather, they always existed in some form or another.  Since they have no beginning or end of any kind, they are completely free from the control or influence of any creature and even grand design.

The user is immune to original destruction or other forces affecting a person's lifespan, because they do not share the same meaning as natural living beings.

Transcendence of Origin: User can transcend origin itself;  reducing its influence on them from absolute order to insignificant style. They no longer need their origin (eg their creator or something similar) to maintain their existence.  Even if their origins were manipulated, overthrown, or destroyed, they would not cease to exist.

Each of their actions can also contradict its own origin, meaning that it does not follow conventional causality. They oppose the original or point of origin concept that even if the causes of such actions are removed, the consequences will remain. Any limitation, weakness or vulnerability they have by virtue of which they can pass. They too can overcome any limitations and inadequacies that the Creator may have given them.

This state of existence makes for an entirely unique and free entity that is not attached to the will or powers of a creator god normally possesses.

Fiction Transcendence: The power to travel beyond the boundaries between fiction and nonfiction. The user is able to transcend the boundaries between fact and fiction and travel through each domain. They can influence / manipulate almost any reality including the primal reality that creates the character to start with.  This increase can be explained by mastery of cartoon physics, using its maximum potential by overriding the boundaries that separate fact and fiction.


Real World Enforcement: The user can enforce the laws and attributes of the real world within the fictional reality, change the laws of physics in the universe to be the same as the real world and cancel all supernatural effects.

Interaction Manipulation: Users can create, shape and manipulate interactions, whether social, physical, metaphysical, magical, etc. Different sets of interactions, when combined, can lead to the creation of phenomena that appear surprising.

Everything requires interaction, especially Change.  When some simple object changes, it is because it has interacted with another object. When several isolated composite objects undergo changes, it is because the components interact with each other. No object observed can change without interaction.

Since interaction is the origin of all change or no change, this power holds the ability to shape everything and decide all outcomes.

The existence of a Single Reality: The user exists only in one reality, dimension, parallel universe, or parallel timeline, without having an alternate self or similar being in another reality or multiverse.

Hyper-Cosmic Consciousness: Users are aware of anything and everything that affects them on an omniversal scale, in such a way that they can see beyond time and space, peering into the world far beyond themselves, as well as the dangers they present to their own world.

Personal Mastery: The user has full control / mastery over everything / everything related to himself, including reality, space, time, particles / molecules / atoms, gravity, form, body, identity, perception / perspective, mind, soul,  their own existence, origin, habits, etc.

Any / all aspects / traits that define and relate to users and their identities are under their full control.

Fictional Manipulation: Users can create, shape and manipulate any fiction, story or setting that comes from the imagination - in other words, it is not based solely on history or fact, allowing them to manipulate the fiction they encounter and possibly other fiction. They can manipulate the characters, goals, powers and concepts involved in fiction that come from other people's imaginations.


Fact Manipulation: Users can create, shape and manipulate facts, things that are proven true and verifiable, turning things into what they want.

It differs from Truth Manipulation in that truth is said to be more subjective than fact, because it may depend on opinion and perspective, whereas fact is something that is proven true, regardless of what other people think, and therefore has nothing to do with lies.  like Truth Manipulation.  It has nothing to do with fraud like lies.  It also differs from Reality Warping in that fact is an aspect of reality, and reality is everything that exists, which may or may not relate directly to facts.

Truth Manipulation: The user can turn the truth into lies or turn lies into truth. They can give themselves strength by lying and telling them they have that power and making it the truth. They can also manipulate reality, make wishes come true or by lying about becoming gods.

Some people think faith is an abstraction of reality, but that is not true at all, because faith is the reality. Those who have the knowledge of Quantum mechanics will tell you how real faith is, but unfortunately, most Christians have so trivialized faith and make faith appear as fiction. We say things and do not stay to act on what we are saying. Most Christians would stay hoping for the substance, when there is no evidence, instead of calling those things that be not as though they were, so that the hope becomes the propellant of the evident. Remember if they were not, they would not have being faith to call it to be, because that which faith calls to reality has already being, as created by God. 

Anything created by God without God will chart a course against the good course of God and that is what is happening in our world with technological advancement. The more we advance in technology, the further away we are from God. The language of Artificial Intelligent system will not only understand is simply the language of the Spirit, ad it is a clear indication that we are returning back to our originality, beyond carnality, but we must understand that there is a meta-construct.

Derrida would thus argue that Blanchot, like Levinas, does not manage to escape metaphysics. As transcendental-empirical difference is an illusion, truth is rather to be located in the quasi-transcendental, or the difference between self and other, presence and absence, or difference; rather than raising the Other to a totalizing and absolute concept as Blanchot and Levinas do. In his “Demeure” essay, Derrida deconstructs the division between fiction and testimony to show that they are not distinguishable but complicit. Indeed, fiction is the condition of possibility for testimony, as the public and true notion of testimony has to be defined against the private and fictitious notion of literature, to establish itself as such. Death is also the impossible possibility that determines life, the division between them does not hold strictly because life is conditioned by an awareness of its limit as death. We thus see a blurring of boundaries between fiction and testimony, life and death in Blanchot's work because these dialectical oppositions are necessary to the definition of each term. Blanchots' work examines the space of the neuter, that which belongs to neither end of the dialectic and this is somewhat similar to Derrida's quasi-transcendental.
 Remy C Kwant, in The Phenomenological Philosophy of Merleau-Ponty, argues that Merleau-Ponty “endeavours to understand the whole man, he sees man as a kind of unfolding of the body-subject. Phenomenology, according to Derrida, is the aporia between the transcendental and empirical rather than the privileging of either since transcendental-empirical difference is an illusion. Phenomenology is conditioned by differance and the quasi-transcendental, or the difference between transcendental and empirical.
	Derrida will argue that the reversal of the cogito and rethinking subjectivity in terms of embodiment and corporeality is a non-philsophy and anti-metaphysics that repeats metaphysics by negating and reversing it. Derrida’s notion of truth is quasi-transcendental rather than anti-metaphysical like Merleau-Ponty’s, which locates truth in the difference or differance between transcendental and empirical. Rather than privilege idealism or empiricism as both camps have done, Derrida posits the quasi-transcendental, differance, or the mediation between transcendental and empirical as the space of truth. Differance enables the thinking of both transcendental and empirical, and thus a thinking of the conditionality of structurality as differance is the true resolution to the impasse between idealism and post-metaphysics, or philosophy and non-philosophy. 
	 A common misconception of Derrida is that he continues the legacy of Nietzsche and Heidegger by negating the positive or the transcendental in favour of the negative or empirical, as Stanley Rosen argues in Hermeneutics as Politics. Rosen argues that Derrida’s differance is a nihilistic embrace of nothingness over the transcendental and an inversion of Hegel, as well as that contrary to Derrida, speech is superior to writing because of the politics encoded in the hierarchy: while one can adjust conversation according to the nature of the interlocutor, in the way that the equity of the judge adjusts the written law to the individual case, writing says the same thing to everyone. Rosen misses Derrida’s point entirely, which is to bring about democracy through his emphasis that speech is a form of writing and writing is hence prior to speech. Rosen also misses Derrida’s point on metaphysical conditioning by accusing him of being a nihilist and empiricist, Derrida rather locates the conditions of possibility of metaphysics as that which is neither transcendental nor empirical, but the difference between them, or differance. Out of differance arises the differentiating trace that distinguishes transcendental and empirical. This paper argues, contrary to Rosen, that Derrida is not an empiricist, or nihilist, but posits the meta-conditions that enable metaphysical perpetuation and production- which are differance and iterability. The transcendental is nothing outside its iteration as the empirical, and hence arises not from transcendental as condition of possibility, but through the movement of repetition, or the trace. The trace retrospectively distinguishes transcendental and empirical. Derrida’s deconstruction is thus a meta-phenomenology rather than a negation or inversion of phenomenology as critics like Rosen argue.
Another critic who holds a view that Derrida continues Heidegger’s legacy is Paul Manithottil, in Difference at the Origin- Derrida’s Critique of Heidegger’s Philosophy of the Work of Art. Manithottil argues that deconstruction radicalizes the task of destruction inaugurated by Heidegger. I would like to demonstrate that Derrida’s work does not represent an extension of Heidegger’s as I do not believe, as Manithottil argues, that Derrida is critical of Western metaphysics or that the aim of Derrida’s deconstruction is to undo the transcendental absolute of Western metaphysics. Derrida argues that the absolute is constituted by iterability and the trace, but does not in any way negate or invert the absolute, only investigating the conditions of possibility for its production. Manithottil further argues that Derrida reduces every concept to the play of the text. I contest Manithottil’s view that Derrida’s work negates presence and reduces everything to textuality. Rather, Derrida investigates the conditions of possibility for the perpetuation of presence and logocentrism, his arguments about textuality are not a reduction to the empirical but an argument about the fundamental mediation of meaning. The transcendental has to be iterated as the empirical and repeated in the empirical through the movement of differance and the trace rather than existing without a medium or in a vacuum as Husserl’s Cartesian reduction would have it. The transcendental exists only in and through iterability. This is what Derrida means by the statement, “There is nothing outside the text” (Derrida 1976:158)that truth or the absolute is irrevocably mediated, rather than existing without a medium, through iterability and repetition with a difference. 
In Structure, Sign and Play Derrida describes history as “a detour between two presences- between structure, sign and play. The one seeks to decipher, dreams of deciphering a truth or an origin which escapes play and the order of the sign, and which lives the necessity of interpretation as an exile. The other, which is no longer turned toward the origin, affirms play and tries to pass beyond man and humanism, the name of man being the name of that being who, throughout the history of metaphysics has dreamed of full presence, the reassuring foundation, the origin and the end of play.”  (Derrida 1978:292)Derrida argues that there is no “question of choosing between the two, but to conceive of the common ground, differance of irreducible difference”,(Derrida 1978:292) the monstrous birth of the quasi-transcendental. The quasi-transcendental conceives of differance, or the interval between transcendental and empirical, as the condition of possibility and common ground for both transcendental and empirical idealism.
This passage from Writing and Difference was written while Derrida had been working on his subsequent manuscript Speech and Phenomena, and in it we see the genesis of Derrida’s thoughts on metaphysics. It is no longer a question of simply choosing between transcendental idealism or a metaphysics of presence and radical empiricism with Nietzsche and Heidegger, because each thought of either requires the opposing term as its relational other and defining axis. Idealism means nothing when defined in isolation from the empirical, just as empiricism is an empty term without its relation to the transcendental. In Husserl for instance, his maintenance of the transcendental subject depends on his exclusion of the indicative, just as Heidegger requires the exclusion of the ideal from his situated Being in order to maintain a pure Being untainted by Christian spirituality. Transcendental is not conceivable without the empirical and empirical is not conceivable without the transcendental, they are only related dynamically through iterability and repetition with a difference. Truth is then not localizable to transcendental or empirical, but situated in between as differance and the quasi-transcendental. Deconstruction thus proceeds by revealing the aporia that thought cannot do without its ghost or unthought and then proceeds towards transgressing the limit toward thinking the unthought of discourse and bringing it to light. Deconstruction is thus justice as it reveals the dynamic interdependency between discourse and its shadow or ghost. It proceeds to demonstrate that thought cannot do without its ghost or unthought. Deconstruction is the thinking of simultaneous identity and difference, identity in non-identity as a priori difference is necessary for thinking both terms which thus share the condition of being determined by this prior difference, hence difference translates into sameness. Deconstruction shows that the possibility of a distinction is simultaneously its impossibility as that which makes the distinction impossible, for instance what allows expression to exclude indication, is precisely the defining moment that upholds the distinction. It is necessary to exclude indication in order to maintain the transcendental subject, just as it is necessary for Heidegger to exclude Christian spirituality from his anthropological Being in order to maintain its worldliness and separation from the transcendental. Each moment of exclusion is necessary for the maintenance of the defining term as it means something only in relation to its other or unthought. Deconstruction is thus the thinking of the simultaneous similarity and difference, identity in non-identity of thought and its unthought. Deconstruction is the thought of the simultaneous one and its other, or simultaneous positive and negative, because the other or negative is the relational assumption that founds the possibility of thinking the one or positive. Deconstruction is thus the simultaneous thought of both one and other or both positive and negative, because these exist only in relation to each other, through iterability and differance. 
The trap that many contemporary commentators fall into is assuming that Derrida privileges the empirical and continues the work of Nietzsche and Heidegger, as Martin Hagglund assumes in his book Radical Atheism. Hagglund describes Derrida as a materialist who dethrones the sacred in his texts. Likewise Michael Marder, in The Event of the Thing argues that deconstruction is a realism that detaches the object from ideal origins in a post-phenomenological turn, thus returning to the thing as fundamentally empirical. My interpretation diverges from such interpretations of Derrida because I hold that they have failed to grasp the aporia of Derrida’s thought: you cannot think the transcendental without the empirical and vice versa, the transcendental and empirical are paradoxically similar and different, identical and non-identical. Derrida is not to be mistaken as an empiricist, rather he is a thinker of paradox, aporia, and the very conditions that make thought possible such as differance and iterability. Transcendental and empirical do not exist outside the structure of repetition as each term requires the other for the distinction to be upheld and only can be defined in relation to the other term as each term, is, on its own, an empty term that requires the exclusion of the other to be thought and conceptualised. The transcendental has to be excluded from the empirical to be defined, just as the empirical has to be excluded from the transcendental to be defined. As we will read with the papers on Husserl, his idealism can only stand with the expulsion and exclusion of indication from his philosophy, just as radical empiricists such as Heidegger, Levinas, Merleau-Ponty, Ricoeur and Blanchot require the transcendental to be excluded from their philosophies to define them, accounting for the transcendental on empirical grounds. This act of exclusion is thus necessary, yet mistaken about the fundamental structure of metaphysics because transcendental and empirical only exist in relation to each other through iterability and differance. As Derrida demonstrates, philosophy since Plato has assumed the ontological structure and vocabulary of metaphysics, whether it has affirmed it as philosophy or deviated from it as non-philosophy. Transcendental and empirical are thus terms that are inscribed in language, whether we associate or disassociate ourselves from these terms, these metaphysical terms haunt the structure and vocabulary of our philosophy. True philosophy would, thus, as Derrida demonstrates, come to terms with the necessity of both terms to thinking each other and acknowledge the quasi-transcendental, the between, the neither transcendental nor empirical, as the paradoxical space between that determines the thinking of both, or differance.
In this survey of secondary sources on phenomenology I have located the problematic of an aporia that lies at its center. Phenomenology has divided itself itself into transcendental idealism or empirical idealism and non-philosophy. In both these incarnations of phenomenology, Husserl’s transcendental idealism and the radical empiricism in the philosophies of Heidegger, Levinas, Ricoeur, Blanchot and Merleau-Ponty, lies a form of theoretical essentialism and blindness to the meta-condition that structures phenomenology. It is differance, the space or interval between the transcendental and empirical which conditions and produces both the transcendental and empirical through the retrospective movement of the trace. Derrida’s contribution to phenomenology, as I will argue in this paper, is his discovery of the quasi-transcendental, or the interval between the transcendental and empirical which determines phenomenology. It does this through the productive and differentiating movement of the trace. As transcendental-empirical difference is an illusion, then truth would be neither transcendental nor empirical. Rather the difference or differance between transcendental and empirical would be its meta-condition and that which enables the thinking of its structurality. Truth is neither presence nor absence, Jew or Greek, being or non-being, self or other but the difference and differance between these two extremes, Derrida emphasizes the importance of iterability or repetition of both extremes as essentially the same, truth is thus quasi-transcendental or the interval between transcendental and empirical which enables both. The concept is marked by its signature, or its breaking away from the origin, to signify a different kind of writing in order to communicate – which is the logic of the graft, intervening in order to signify anew, and renovate meaning and experience, to mark a double writing, and effect a displacement of the traditional hierarchy of meaning and a reversal. Deconstruction examines these principles of displacement and reversal, in order to bring about democracy, and emphasize writing as a primary form of communication. Writing brings about a force of signification that exceeds its origin, so there is always a surplus and excess of meaning, which can never be reduced to a univocal signified. In doing so deconstruction turns philosophy towards infinite possibility rather than a hierarchy, as meaning always exceeds its origin. Origin itself is an illusion and supplemented by the function and logic of the trace, which displaces it in order to communicate.  Derrida inscribes in phenomenology it a measure of fallibility through his demonstrations that thought is always contaminated by its unthought, the ideal is always contaminated by contingency and undecidability. Derrida’s arguments are modes of interrogation in which he questions the basis of presence, fully given to itself, uncontaminated by absence, contingency, the empirical, the Other, and as such inscribes the necessity of incarnation and a necessity for the mark to fail as presence as it has to differ from itself materially in order to be realized. Derrida thus inscribes failure in phenomenology, its necessity for the mark to die and survive itself as the trace to live on in the material world, and thus rescues phenomenology by demonstrating that its success as an enterprise depends on including what it had excluded- which is transcendental-empirical difference.
