The mental devil dissected the weird dream into the most fundamental stream of information and swallowed it. Smacking the lips and pondering for a moment, the mental devil mumbled, "It's indeed a bit strange but not so far as 'self-contradictory'. Or rather, this dream filled the most critical blank of the previous weird dreams!"
Li Yao was refreshed. "How so?"
"Look. In fact, the dreams we've had before are divided into two vastly different, if not opposite, parts."
Waving its arms and legs, the mental devil declared, "First of all, in our childhood and youth, before our spiritual root was awakened, the weird dreams we had were about the 'earthling Li Yao'.
"This particular 'earthling Li Yao' lived in the 2010s on Earth. He was just a regular car mechanic. If there was anything special about him, it was perhaps his racing skills, but it was not any special ability.
"All in all, this 'earthling Li Yao' was a completely ordinary person, and the planet that he lived on was a plain, peaceful world devoid of spiritual energy. He lived a boring life until he had a car accident that got him killed!"

Li Yao was deep in thought. "Yes. Although I don't quite remember what is it that we wanted to destroy, the feelings of desperation and depression were deep to my bones."
"Then, something doesn't make sense now," the mental devil said. "The earthling Li Yao was just a regular car mechanic and an excellent racer at best. He never served in the army, nor was he a warrior adept at fighting. How was he involved in the Vulture Plan?
"Besides, in our memories, Earth at the beginning of the twenty-first century, although not entirely peaceful, certainly did not have world wars! There were two superpowers that controlled Asia and Americas. The influence of their army radiated over the entire planet. There was friction between the two superpowers, but they certainly did not wage war at each other.
"Then, even if a certain threat that was 'too dark and too strong', say a virus or an alien, appeared, the two superpowers would certainly be there to settle everything. What could an insignificant mechanic do?
"If even the two superpowers could not deal with the threat, it's even less possible that such a mechanic could save the world, right?"
Li Yao nodded quickly. "I was too trapped in my own thinking. Your analysis is quite correct! It does make sense. Now that I see it, the so-called Vulture Plan is too ungrounded. "Then, one day, Li Yao had an accident during a race. Everybody thought that he was dead, but he wasn't. Instead, he met a super ugly woman who was wearing spiritual armor and carrying a chainsword and a storm bolter in ways that we can't understand.
"After that, the memories went blank. We directly jumped to the end, where all his companions were killed and part of his remaining soul escaped from Earth in a hurry. He swore that he would come back one day and carry on the Vulture Plan!"
Li Yao narrowed his eyes and mumbled, "Are you suggesting that, after the earthling Li Yao's accident, he wasn't directly teleported to the Heaven's Origin Sector, but met the ugly woman and possibly joined a certain organization with the Vulture Plan as the core? He didn't flee to the Heaven's Origin Sector until the organization was crushed by the enemy, and he was forced to leave Earth?"
The mental devil nodded its head solemnly. "Yes. That must be the case."
"It does make a lot of more sense now. Otherwise, an insignificant car mechanic certainly would not have had much to do with the mysterious Vulture Plan!" Li Yao took a deep breath, his temples bouncing. Thousands of thoughts seemed to be popping out of his head.
Rubbing his temples softly, his eyebrows furrowed again. "No. There is still something inexplicable. Even if the earthling joined a certain mysterious organization after the accident, why was he greeted with 'Welcome to Earth'?
"Li Yao was an earthling who had lived on Earth his whole life! What did she mean by saying 'Welcome to Earth'?
"Generally speaking, this should be the way that the locals of Earth greeted aliens, right? Or was the previous Li Yao in fact not an earthling but an alien? That's too hilarious, definitely impossible!

Murmuring for a long time, Li Yao suddenly shuddered and jumped to his feet as if he suffered an electric shock. He demanded, "What did you say?"
The mental devil was shocked by him, too. "I said, why would anybody welcome an earthling to Earth?"
"Not this one. The next sentence. The next one!"
Li Yao could not help but tremble as if he had heard the most dreadful spell in the world.
The mental devil was baffled. After thinking for a moment, it replied uncertainly, "I said… it is not logical at all—what? Is there anything wrong with that?"
Li Yao narrowed his eyes, his body temperature dropping by more than ten degrees. Every muscle on his face and his body was shaking nonstop. "No. There is nothing wrong about that, but I've heard many people saying the word 'logic' before. Something is greatly wrong about that!
"Also, now that I think about it, when I proposed to Ding Lingdang, she once said that she was not a woman who pursued romance, didn't she? You were there, too. Did she say that?"
The mental devil scratched its head and blinked. "What's wrong with that? She has never been a romantic woman after all."
"Don't you understand?" Li Yao bellowed. "The critical question is not whether or not she is a romantic woman but why the word 'romance' was in her vocabulary and why she understood its meaning precisely! It is as baffling as why the people in the world of Cultivators know the word 'logic' and understand its meaning!
"Romance is not a word in our native language but from a certain western language on Earth!"

Alright then, I admit that I accidentally truly became a jinxer who brought misfortune everywhere that he went. I pulled an aggro train everywhere with me… it was a pity that the Holy Church's people weren't here, as there would have been a fun show to watch then.
I didn't know just how much Sarwenstan and Shupnus hated me, but the bosses chasing me right now were definitely more than 70% of the high-level combat strength of the undead and devil forces. All of this combat strength was being used solely to hunt me down, which seemed so illogical and overboard to me.
"Overboard? You're the one who's really illogical not to die even with so many lord-level existences hunting you down."
Harloys had canceled her clone and was watching the show as if it had nothing to do with her.

It would be strange for them not to want to hunt you down after getting into such a wretched state because of you. Harloys' words now made me suddenly feel like my earlier thoughts had been meaningless. As expected, personal grudges were the main reason why I was being hunted down.
Since I was unable to leave the Forest of Dreams, I could only spend my free time here.

Long ago, the wood spirits had used the power of nature magic to create fruits which were capable of permanently raising one's stats. This could foundationally increase a person's Constitution, Strength, Dexterity, or other stats, making up for any natural insufficiencies.

Ordinary people didn't have access to a direct analysis of their physical stats like what my System could provide, but they could see for themselves that these miraculous fruits were capable of helping them to run faster, gain more strength, and react quicker, along with giving them a healthier and stronger body.

It would be impossible to choose a different path after going too far down one's chosen job class path. This warrior had paid a tremendous price for these stat-raising fruits. Although he indeed gained some permanent stats, his gain made others not know whether they should laugh or cry.
How this worked was actually determined by the foundational principle of these stat-raising fruits. These fruits were the pure energy of life. They were capable of improving and buffing a living individual's weaknesses. However, these fruits were also limited by the individual's maximum stat capacity and natural talent.
For instance, the previously mentioned warrior was actually someone who would have been a highly talented thief. However, he had been born in a knight family, which was why he chose to become a heavily armored tanking warrior job class. He worked extremely hard, but then reached a point where talent was even more important than hard work to progress. The natural limitations of his talent determined already that he had reached the peak of what he could achieve as a tanking warrior job class. The stat-raising fruits wouldn't be capable of giving him a chance to start all over again in a job class path more suitable for his talents. These fruits could only activate one's true potential and provide a small increase in stats on top of one's own foundation.
This meant that those who had trained themselves the hardest had already achieved most of their maximum potential, so such people eating the fruits gained only limited benefits. "Yup, basically the main character somehow returns to the past but they don't realize they've been reincarnated. As proof, the memories return to him in forms of recurring dreams, reminding him that he has indeed reincarnated. The main character is sent back to the past to redo certain things, and to remake certain choices in order to prevent the tragedies from happening."
Xinghe was stumped. "This kind of thing can happen in real life?"
"Of course not, it's completely fictional. But I have to say they are quite interesting. Sis, how could you not have heard about a genre as famous as reincarnation? What if we weren't here? What if we were on a different planet? 

What if we were never born? What happens to our conciseness? Do we still exist? Or will our to-be-selves just never exist?

What about after we die? There's many theories on that, but are any of them actually true? What if religion is just a bedtime story to tell children before they go to sleep? What if it's just something for people to believe in but not live out? How do people feel if they figure this out, if it's true. 

If there were gods, what are they doing? If gods created us, why did they? Were they bored? 

What would happen if our sun never existed? Would we be on a different planet? Would everything look different? Would WE look different?

Hopefully you enjoyed this little rant. And a fair warning, the dreams do jump from one scene to another without any transition.

This is a bunch of short stories of my dreams. The only thing different is the names.

"Ele, you what? Are you a nightmare? Want to cry in sleep." Marvel's voice made me hug him tightly, I don't know why this happened. but I really feel sad and restless.

"I dreamed you went Marvel, you went when I was pregnant and it turns out you married again. Why? Why can I dream like that ?." I asked in a really sad voice, Marvel gently stroked my shoulder and gave me the comfort that I really needed.

And sure enough, Gideon's face was just like my dream. What is this? I haven't even seen Gideon at all in my 25 years of life.

I held my hand restlessly, the dream itself can be said to be a strange and magical event, where it appears that we enter into a world and experience a strange story or event. Where we go on adventures and explore strange worlds, which seem absurd but when we wake up from sleep, it is not uncommon for us to feel that dreams during sleep are like real events.

It is said that what makes dreams more mystical is the reality in which this dream problem cannot be fully explained by science and certain processes, among which can explain the role that dreams play in everyday human life, one of which is the most popular. is that dreams can be used to tell or in other words predict the future.

I've read several theories about dreams. The theory of dreams can be interpreted as future events, supported by many stories that happened. Starting from people who predict about the arrival of a disaster, then the time of their own death, and so on. It is also said that many people reach a certain point where we have dreamed until we believe that the dream has come true, such as a deja vu experience.

Aryan greeted teeth and teleported to the next spot thousand kilometres away from there, and repeated the same process. And like the last two time no life signs were there.

Nothing happened and no one came till an hour. Aryan was running out of patience and was about to come out of his camflouge when the earth started shaking.
"Another earthquake?!" muttered Aryan.
While he was pondering over it he saw a giant figure approaching the tree where his friend were tied.
It was the same penguin, ancient ghost, but the size was a little bigger than before.
Now he was as tall as a one storage building. Aryan was like a small rat before him. Seeing the giant penguin Aryan remembered the battle of the cultivation fair and that evil bird helping Zagan.
The penguin unloaded some woods and bamboos from his back and looked towards the tree before him.
"Ahahahah ahahah, my plan will be a success soon. This time I will defineently get that body. I will for sure. Ahahahah, ahahahaha."
And with this laugh he started moving his hands and making a particular pattern on the ground.
Even though his size was bigger seems like his strength was somewhat same. He was taking ten to fifteen minutes to dig a hole and stuck a bamboo in it.
Four hours later he completed his work and took a sigh of relief. While he was doing it Aryan was getting bored and took a small nap, keeping Yui on alert.
He asked Yui to keep an eye on him and tell him is something new happens. Yui was shouting at him for being so careless, but who cares. Aryan just asked her to do as he says and closed his eyes for a nap.
Even though Yui was super pissed at him, she did as ordered and kept an eye on the ghost.
Meanwhile Aryan, he was enjouying a good dream when suddenly something happened and his vision became black.
Aryan waved his hand kicked his leg but nothing happened. Suddenly seven lights fell on him. And a manly voice reverberated in his dream.
"Oh the chosen one you must know the truth between dream, illusion and reality."
"Read them all, and set it in your mind. That what may be a dream, may not be an illusion. And what is an illusion may not be a dream." Added another voice.
Aryan was pondering over its meaning when many characters appeared before him.

As a kid I found being alone boring. So boring that as a kid that I would just beat my meat. And go to sleep.

I had friends but many of the times I was with them I'd be bored. Anything that we did had me bored as fuck.

We'd dance, skate, surf, shop, play games. And I would still be bored.

The only times I wouldn't be bored is when I read interesting manga, watched anime, or smoke and get drunk.

That probably showed that I got a problem. Oh well.

I had no meaning in life. I was constantly bored. And the only times I was having fun was when I was fucking up my life.

Until. I watched a certain anime. About a slime running a country.

My thoughts on it weren't that must be fun at first. 

My thoughts was how much percentage for the trades? Or wouldn't that cause political problems? And what about those people's situation? Can't their land develop more?

While watching the anime I was never bored. I was constantly thinking. And it came to me that running a country would be fun. And it became my foolish dream.

I started taking notes on goods, services, politics, trades, country systems. I took any notes that would help me understand what I should do if I suddenly created a country.

I was writing those notes like a high schooler that took adderall too study for a SAT.

It was fun. I never thought learning could be so much fun with a goal. 

My goals were to graduate college. Become a politician. Then president.

It was all fun until my dreams came crashing down on me.

While I was in the military for college benefits. Halfway through my military contract term. I found out I had cancer. 

Brain cancer. I had a life expectancy of 31%. The doctors said that I would die within a year or less.

Hearing that I would die within a year I refused to see anyone. Not family or friends. I was wanting to patiently wait and die.

My dreams have died and so did I in a way.

Two months after finding out my body had a shut down or attack if that's what you'd call it. 

My pulses and breathing became weird. And a lack of oxygen damaged cells in my brain. I was unable to recall... something. I couldn't remember a certain thing. Or person...

I was able to remember my family and friends. At least I think all of them.

After experiencing near death I wrote a will. All my belongings would be given to my younger sister.

It wasn't because were family or cause were close. It was because she's a total fucking idiot. And I wouldn't pass on well knowing she doesn't have something to help her.

I was ready for death after writing my will.

I think I gained some wisdom knowing I'd die. Because I was calm for death. And I guess knowing that I have calmly died.

Well kind of died.




I'm the beginning of everything; I'm the beginning of creation. I am present in heaven, on earth and in water; I am the questioning of so many and the answer of others. I'm with you from your birth to your death, watching you grow up, watching you face every obstacle I put in your way. I'm the most beautiful being you've ever seen or ever met. I'm the only thing no human being has ever been able to explain. I am the Life. One of the most magical things that ever existed.
And it is precisely because I am the Life, that everyone questions my "why", or else: why are they born, why do they die, and the most frequent question asked by all humanity: What is the meaning of life?

Emotions. What would we do without them? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Emotions are what make us up, they are the ones who shape us, they are the ones who dictate who we really are. Without emotions we would be mere shells walking aimlessly down the path of life, and she is so short, but the emotions we can leave last an eternity. But although they are so important to the construction of our being, we know very little about them. And this story is precisely about that, it reveals all the truths behind these, which for so many years have been our faithful companions, but precisely since our birth. Whats unique about this way of earning is due to the fact, you don't have to manually see quests, unless you would like to complete a certain type of quest, or based off highest money. Which is horrible. As in the Guild Association, everyone is 'technically' already in the quest. Meaning once you killed something, the items that had dropped will be automatically sent to the Guild Association's storage, as long as there is a quest for it, or else it would just dropped quietly. If a uncommon was dropped, you are able to object to system to take the item. Infact, this is all automatic, meaning you could change the settings of this so you can get make it so the system doesn't automatically take your dropped items, or automatically take all dropped items. This way a person can choose. There is even a way to enable such that there is a 'timer' before the items are automatically sent to the system.

In my case, I prefer to keep the items on the ground for 10 seconds, whereas I have time to think before taking, by thinking, I meant I would use my choice vision to check first, before double checking, pretty convenient right? Even though during battles, I can't use choice vision to predict enemies move, but I can see afterwards, meaning I know what to do after beating it. I would 100% not even go to a monster I couldn't even fight lol...

As walked out of the dungeon, I went straight for the money collect, whats even more unique is the quest rewards actually stay in your card, meaning you can collect anytime. Some people who does this as a hobby, can take it out at times of needs. Well in my case I  took it our immediately for financial purposes. Once I took out and counted the money, I realised I only earned 30 coppy, which is really low, seeing I took 6 hours to earn a 3 hour worth of salary, but in my case, I am maybe even 3x faster than a average person due to choice vision helping me on deciding which monster to kill. Even though the money is low, I'm satisfied, since I was only at level 1 dungeon.

Okay, you might be wondering why is there a demand for such monster stuff? Well, think about it, some monster stuff is used to make potions, weapons and heck even clothes. Woah, too deep man, in brief, most items are in demand, but not too demand, thats why level 1 items are cheap. You might ask what happended to those are somehow not in demand? As I've gotten the party up, we entered the dungeon.(At this point you might be wondering, why don't with use our basic points? Its simple they are hard to come by, either from really rare treasure chest or levelling up, and with everyone's style of fighting, we can't tell what style we fit, and if we upgrade the wrong attribute, it might cause more harm than help).

The funny thing is, before we entered the dungeon, I checked my choice and the good choice was asking Lagura NOT to check monsters future attack, as we will need to develop ourselves, either incase our skills disappear, or when we get too busy with 1 choice, or something unthinkable happens. And Lagura nodded knowingly, which made me smile at this.
