93% of the human population is comprised with betas, 4% of high class alphas, and 3% of... the lowly omegas.

Betas are pretty average compared to alphas and omegas. Average looks, height, body build, and genitals. Alphas are intimidating, good-looking, tall, and they also excel at everything. They have big genitals... and they are dominant in bed. Omegas have small bodies build and small genitals. They are undeniably pretty, whether they're men or women, and they also pretty much excel at a lot of things just like alphas--- but unfortunately, they're still considered as lowly human beings solely because they can't control their heat cycles and it interferes with their daily lives. An omega's heat cycle is also irregular, and omegas with a regular heat cycle is very rare. Those omegas are considered to be dominant as they also have very strong pheromones. Recessive omegas have very weak scent and have low fertility rate. Alphas on the other hand don't have to suffer a lot because it's quite rare for an alpha to experience a rut. At most, maybe they will have a rut only twice a year. Dominant alphas have strong pheromones, and on the contrary, recessive alphas have weak pheromones.

Alphas can impregnate omegas easily through knotting, and an omega's fertility rate would be higher when they are in heat. Betas on the other hand could also impregnate omegas whether the omega is male or female, but it is considered rare if this happens.

At the young age of seven, I realized that I was a beta. I wasn't particularly pretty like omegas, or tall like alphas. I did not excel at anything, too. I was average.

I just turned 12 four months ago, and we'll be getting the results of the examination to know if we're betas, alphas, or omegas.

In my case, I was sure of my second gender—I was sure that I was a beta. It was pretty obvious. My parents are both betas, so it makes sense that I am, too.

Our teacher called us one by one to give us the test results. "Justin," she called my name. I stood up and walked towards her, not feeling excited to know my result at all since it's predictable. She handed me a piece of paper and smiled.

Whatever. What's so special about being an alpha anyway? Ugh! I'm contradicting myself. Earlier, I just thought that being an alpha would be great, yet here I am, being so bitter because one of my classmates is an alpha.

 My legs were jellified, my vision was blurry and i was so knackered. it is not easy to drive for 10hours straight up, the idiot next to me could have helped but no he is so heartless that he couldn't help, he said he has done me enough favor by accompanying me here so the least i can do is drive us to kpachita without complaining, which i did but regretted. I wish i never embarked on this journey at all or better yet i should have used public transport instead of going through the agony of driving, but the did has been done am here already. I did not go directly to my father's house because that place is a dead end, there is no one there which means the place will be dusty which i can't clean not just because of the fatigue but because i am asthmatic and Abduljaleel can't do the work alone, and then lastly the work is for ladies not men so i drove to my uncle's house, my dad's older brother uncle Alfa (Ndagi Afa) and his wife yabida. Oh God i love his wife so much, that woman is the main reason why i can't bring myself to dislike kpachita even a bit. The way that woman praises my mum ennnh you will think my mum is an angel, she even calls her Hajiya nchiko (big hajiya) and she transfer her love for my mum to even us the children, i always feel like a prince when am in her presence even if i don't feel like one she treats me like one, i don't even get to move a cup without her complaining saying she doesn't want me to over work myself when i have more than enough younger ones to send. 

 As we arrived at Ndagi afa's house, yabida immediately came out as if she has been waiting for our arival, come who am i kidding she sure has been waiting for our arrival. She welcomed us warmly as if she was going to sweep us off our feet to which Abduljaleel was surprised because yabida had never welcomed him like this before which is obviously because his mom doesn't associate with village people, she thinks they are local and out dated but funny enough she was also a typical villager before Abduljaleel's dad pimped her up and married her. 

 Hot water was given to us so we could take shower to help ease the fatigue which it did but there was one problem, i couldn't open my eyes and my body is on fire as if someone had added pepper to my water, it was not funny at all but i couldn't complain since i know yabida would never do such thing, and she had put so much effort just to please me and make me feel at home. I tried asking Abduljaleel if he also faced same problem when he had his bath to which he said a big no and my doubt was cleared that it was a mistake no one know about and it should be kept that way. I met all my cousin's except one of them i didn't bother asking of her where about but i kept on wondering where she would or could be around this time of the night, come to think of it to some extend i was glad she was not around, that girl is the definition of mischief, i don't think i have ever done anything to annoy her before and even if i had done then i can't recall or it was a mistake but she derives so much pleasure in putting me in awkward situation and making my life a bit miserable. Before i even finish thanking God for her absence i heard yabida scolding her of how ill mannered she is, how she did not come to greet us and who was she expecting to come and serve us dinner or if she wanted us to die of hunger. Is Yabida a mind reader or what?? Oh lord this girl is after me, now how do i escape what so ever plan she has for me? definitely not by skipping the dinner, i don't think i can bring myself to do that because i am starving........i can even feel my intestines knotting themselves to help adjust to the hunger for the main time so skipping dinner is definitely not an option. I was still looking for an escape when Maimuna decided to grace us with her presence holding a tray, omg how more devilish could she get, she couldn't even wait for me to conclude or find a solution to my problem. Shao Yun had always followed her journal, treating it like a life manual. From elementary to adulthood, whatever was scheduled in the journal shall be followed, with little to no room for adjustments.
Just like the note written on it, she went straight ahead in Room 309, the said classroom for her Economics class. As she waited for the professor in a randomly picked seat, she brought out her textbook, confident that her knowledge was more than adequate.
She began skimming through its pages; she was sure she knew the concepts, both by definition and application by heart.
"Economics is going to be easy as pie," she scoffed. 
It wasn't.
As the professor came into the room, Shao Yun's proud smile was still drawn on her lips. Though she couldn't figure what she's supposed to do years away from her "teeny tiny mistake," she thought she could do better with her grades at least.
"It's not like slightly better grades gonna change the future." She let out another airy chuckle.
Seconds after a short greeting and introduction, the professor had her presentation displayed on the screen.
"We'll be starting our first lesson for the semester and I'm sure you've done some advanced reading as I asked you to, right?" she began.
"Advanced reading?" Shao Yun mouthed. She read the lecture title on the screen then navigated its page on the book.
"Now, can someone identify who spoke of this famous quote?" the professor asked after changing the slide. "In the long run we are all dead."
The room remained silent as Shao Yun scrolled through her textbook again.
"Oh, yes? Your name is?" the teacher finally spotted a raise of hand.
"Rui," a boy at the back answered. "It's by John Maynard Keynes."
"That's correct. Good. In the long run, we are all dead."
"Not me," Shao Yun mumbled. 
The rest of the discussion continued in that way, much to her dismay. The lesson introduction was mostly about economists and historical events. In short, it was everything the 29-year old Shao Yun would have forgotten.
"That'd be all for today. I wouldn't leave another assignment for now, you go enjoy your freshman event tomorrow," the professor remarked before leaving, bringing a smile on everyone's faces. "Choose a nice student organization, alright? Or you can choose my organization, the debate team."
"The freshmen event?" She couldn't recall what it was.

Like breakfast, Shao Yun headed straight back to the same shop with a meal already chosen in mind. She craved something the "commoner" Shao Yun would have wanted, food she could never be seen eating in her CEO office. 
"Lanzhou beef noodle soup please."
"Would you like a drink for that?"
"Yes, of course. Do you have red tea?" she answered, almost forgetting her tight budget. "Never mind, just the beef noodle soup please."
The lady sighed, crossing out her writings on her notepad.
A few minutes later, by the time she had her hands on the noodle soup, the warmth of the paper bowl on her palms, along with the aroma of the soup, made her grow even hungrier. With the seats of the shop already occupied, she hurried out in search of a vacant place to eat. Anywhere would do.
"So? How are you, my third favorite human?" She heard a familiar voice just as she took a seat near the bike stands. The surprise nearly made her lose her grip on her meal and she quickly swayed her head left and right. 
"What?" she mouthed, then looked straight ahead again.
"Did I scare you, human?" It was the grim reaper once again and now he was sitting in front of her.
"In broad daylight? Really?" she whispered, her brows knotting in confusion. 
"Ah, worry not. Other humans cannot see me. After all, it is you who is supposed to be deceased."
"So, I look like I'm talking to the air right now?" she lowered her voice.
"Bingo!" His voice was then joyous. "Oh, did I say that word right?"
She narrowed her eyes in confusion. His raspy voice, especially with his unhuman appearance, did not suit informal language.
"Well? Are you satisfied with my execution of the deal?"
Though a hundred questions piled up in her head, she first searched for her phone in her bag and pressed it near her ear. It was probably the oldest phone still on sale in the tech industry by then.
"What are you doing, human?" 
"Do I want people to think I talk to myself?" she returned the question. "Now, I'm sure you have some explaining to do," Shao Yun spoke.
"What explanation do you need? I simply came here to monitor how you humans are doing."
"First. Why am I even here?" She slightly raised her voice, demanding an answer.
"After that persuasive speech of yours, you forget why you're here?" He answered with another question. "I have to admit, human, the speech was impressive but I've heard better."
She tilted her head, nose scrunching. "I never told you to take me back in 2019. This is a mistake."
"Trust me, human, I do not make petty mistakes."
"I never specified anything. You aren't following the deal."
"You dare accuse me of being a cheat?"
"Are you?"
"You did not want to end up dead in a back alley. I gave you the perfect means to it. In all honesty, it's you who should be thankful to me."
"Then what am I supposed to do here?"
The figure went silent, let out a laugh, then went silent once again.
"Oh. You really do not know?"
She rolled her eyes.
"Ah, I thought of it as some sort of mortal humor."
"You're really getting into it. You're learning how to be a human and talk like one."
"Well, that is the deal. I will get a physical form," he affirmed.
"Right." She mumbled softly before realizing a crucial mistake she made in the bargain.
"So, that's why you won't give me answers." 
"Pardon?" he asked.

"Presentation – At birth, all humans present a primary gender- male or female.  From the ages of 13-18, depending on the particular fic, females, and males present as their secondary gender- Alpha, Beta or Omega.  Presentation is typically accompanied by heat or rut, and after sethe secondary presentation, humans will now give off a certain scent depending on whether they are Alpha, Beta or Omega.


Alpha – The dominant presentation, Alpha presentations are typically preferred in A/B/O society.  Alphas usually hold high paying jobs or occupy powerful government positions. Upon puberty/presentation, Alphas develop knots on their genitalia.  In most fics, Alphas are male.  However, in fics where there are female Alphas, they look like regular women with a smaller, external knot and internal testes. Of course, this is all dependent upon the fic author.

Beta – Betas are a neutral presentation.  In most fics, their senses of smell of less than that of Alphas and Omegas, and they typically do not give off strong pheromones as Alphas or Omegas do.  Generally speaking, they are just regular humans. Depending on the fic, female Betas may be able to get pregnant by their Alpha/Beta mates. Male Betas cannot get pregnant.  In some A/B/O Universes, Betas do not exist.


Omega – The submissive presentation, and in fics often described as the most shameful.  Omegas produce slick when they are in heat and when they are aroused.  Omegas have slick-glands, or auto-lubricant glands, that when stimulated produce a moist substance that resembles real-life lube and makes penetration easier. Omegas can also become pregnant, and depending on the fic, typically carry more than one child per pregnancy. Omegas are typically smaller than Alphas and Betas.  

Female Omegas have the same appearance as a regular human woman, while male Omegas typically have a smaller penis and balls. In some fics, male Omegas are castrated upon presentation (more on A/B/O castration here).

Mpreg – Depending on the fic author, some stories do not include mpreg.  In stories that do include mpreg, male Omegas birth in one of three ways:
       1. Anal birth
       2. A vaginal opening that manifests days/weeks before the birth and then closes up again after the baby has been born
       3. C-Section
In some tropes, male Omegas are extremely rare and therefore male pregnancies are considered more difficult. However, in most fics, Omegas are naturally inclined to birthing children and there is no problem at all.



Heat/Rut – Fertile Omegas and Alphas experience heats and ruts from the age of presentation until they reach an age where they can no longer have children.  Omegas suffer from heats while Alphas typically suffer from ruts. Like female menstruation, Omega heats can last from 3-7 days, while Alpha Ruts are usually shorter, all depending on the universe that the fic author has built.  Alphas and Omegas can usually get themselves through their heats through masturbation and by using toys, though in some universes Omega Heats can become fatal if the Omega does not mate with an Alpha. Fics with this trope are usually labeled 'fuck or die', or something similar to that effect.  Heats and Ruts occur regularly for healthy Omegas and Alphas, and depending on the fic author can occur at regular intervals between 1 month or a year. The most common 'heat schedules' you will see in fanfic are monthly, tri-monthly and yearly. Some fics do not feature Alpha ruts.

Knotting – Knotting in A/B/O, conceptually, is the same way that it is for dogs and wolves.  During penetrative sex, an Alpha's knot inflates the closer they get to orgasm. The knot locks them inside of their sex partner while they cum, theoretically to increase the chance of pregnancy.  In fanfic, knots typically last anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours. Orgasm can be achieved without knotting one's partner, and knots do not typically form when Alphas are masturbating. When a knot is not inflated, it remains as a ring of soft tissue around the base of an Alpha's penis.

Mating/Marking – When Alpha, Beta or Omega couples want to be with each other for life, they form a mating bond together.  This is usually done during fornication/knotting, where the Alpha will bite the Omega's neck and leave a mark on their skin. This mark does not necessarily have to be on the Omega's neck, though- it can be anywhere on their body. Likewise, in some fics, Omegas mark their Alpha's necks/bodies with a biting claim as well.  Some fics may include soul-bonding, where mates are able to read each other's minds or feel each other's emotions.
Scent marking is practiced by mated Alphas, Betas, and Omegas to reassure themselves in times of distress and/or to mark their 'territory'.  Omegas and Alphas typically scent each other or scent mark each other by wearing one another's clothes, clinging to each other, or sniffing one another's scent glands


Soul Mates – This can, in some instances, be considered its own trope.  There are countless soulmate AU's and fic-starters that are unrelated to A/B/O in the least (world goes from gray to color, handwriting on your soulmate's wrist, etc.).  However, when combined with A/B/O verse these individual tropes can really become something amazing. Soul mates can come in the form of Alpha/Alpha, Alpha/Beta, Alpha/Omega, Beta/Beta, Beta/Omega, or Omega/Omega parings (in fic, Omega/Omega and Alpha/Alpha pairings are typically marginalized and discriminated against in the same way the LGBT community is in real life).  Soul mates are drawn to each other inexplicably and often times can simply tell by looking into one another's eyes that they are soulmates. This trope is very dependent on the author of the particular fic."

"Nanti malem aa' udah kerja lagi ya?" Tanyanya.

"Iya, aa' flight ke Singapur dulu, baru lanjut ke Narita" 

Sing menatap lelaki itu menyelidik, membuat Max bingung kenapa.

"Aa' gak keganjenan kan?" Tanyanya random.

Max tertawa, ia lalu menarik kedua pipi Sing gemas.

Max kemudian tertawa, ia lalu membiarkan Sing memainkan ponsel miliknya, walaupun itu akan terlihat lucu.

Semenjak berpacaran, ponsel Max sudah menjadi hak miliknya. Dan sejak itulah isinya benar benar membuat Max tertawa gemas.

Wallpaper ponselnya yang tadinya berwarna hitam polos itu,di ubah dengan foto mereka saat baru bangun tidur, lalu foto profilnya yang tadinya juga foto Gean (harimau Max) pun diganti dengan foto dirinya yang sedang mengganggu Max tidur.

Ah, ditambah lagi instagram Max.

Postan yang ada di instagram Max hanya berisi foto foto koleksi sepatunya, lalu foto mobil mobil nya, dan beberapa foto GenMax (semua peliharaan Max).

Dan sejak mereka berpacaran, banyak foto foto Sing yang terunggah disana.

Ada yang foto nya sendiri, ada juga fotonya dengan Max.

Apalagi di tambah caption yang uwu membuat para followers Max tertawa melihatnya.

Seperti, "pawangnya harimau pun punya pawang juga💙" dan setelahnya diberi tag akun Sing sendiri.

Walau begitu, Max senang. Oleh karena itu, ia membiarkan Sing melakukan apapun yang ia sukai, karena kalau tidak lelaki kecilnya itu akan menangis lagi.

Lagipula Max juga bucin setengah mati dengannya.

Wonho pushes his alpha off of him, turning around to grab the tissue to clean himself.  He is not in the mood to wait minutes for another round. Not tonight.

'I'm hungry.' He interrupts, not wanting to comment on the situation. It has always been like this. He didn't mind it back when they were younger because they were drunk with each other and had nothing else to do, but having to wait for Minwoo's knot to calm down every single time just to go for another round is getting tiring. And no, it is not his alpha's fault either. Unlike most stories he heard about the man or alpha finishing earlier than their other half, Minwoo is always kind enough to finish together with him, knowing fully well his own condition.
It is just, tonight, Wonho wants to be able to go for another one right away, while he is still in the mood. And that is not possible because of that big knot. It freaking hurts.
Putting on his sweatpants and big shirt, Wonho makes his way to the kitchen. From the corner of his eyes, he can see Minwoo flipping his body around to lay on his stomach. He feels bad, but he just couldn't care. The sex wasn't bad, the waiting is. Minwoo wasn't bad. His big ass knot is.
'Wonie,' Minwoo finally comes out of the bedroom, sitting beside the omega who is about to eat his cereal. Wonho looks at the clock, 'seven minutes.'
'That's an improvement,' Minwoo tries to laugh it off, awkwardly. They had been avoiding talking about it since they made up. The only time he didn't knot, ever, was their first time together after their break. After that, it was one knot after another. Honestly Minwoo has no idea why he takes a long time to calm down or vice versa. He tried to think of disgusting things to relax a few times, but thinking of those things obviously affects his own libido. Not to mention, it didn't work. Also, not much information about knotting is available because, apparently, it's not common and nobody even thought about studying it.
Minwoo realizes he only has this problem with Wonho. During their cooling off period, he slept with a few omegas and he never knotted. 'Nah. It's fine.' Minwoo pulls his omega in a hug, kissing his head. They will just have to settle with cuddling again. Not that it is the worse choice, they actually enjoy it.

'Mr. Kim?' Both the males lift their heads and stand up, entering the examination room; Minwoo leading the couple. Despite his reluctance, Wonho insisted on coming, for moral support.

Sitting behind the table is an alpha lady, scribbling something real quick the moment the couple enter the room. Minwoo scans the room quickly, noting the degree she had from his university which means she is his senior, and the books on psychology - something he really, really hates. 'So, I heard from Dongho. Knotting?' The doctor mentions, getting straight to the point.

Then they tested this weird theory where Dongho asked Minwoo to think about his mate and BAM - knot.
Which brought them to where they are now. A psychologist.
'It's been going for a while?' Again, another nod. He can see from the corner of his eyes, Wonho playing with his own fingers, obviously not comfortable talking about their sex life to a stranger. Minwoo offers his hand to calm the man down, which Wonho takes.  
'So, what's wrong with me?' he asks, just to fill in the silence. He knows it is too early to give him a diagnosis because, he didn't give her any information just yet.
The doctor, also a Kim, puts her pen down. 'There's not much for me to work on but, from my experience, alphas knot when they have a really strong urge to inseminate their partner.'  
Minwoo can feel Wonho squeezing his hand and looks at his mate. The omega is giving him a look of confusion.  
He can only gulp.

I'm eighteen years old, a high school student. I have my own school, my own district, my own gang, I should be fucking happy. I have everything, but no. I remember, she fucking cried and hugged me last night. I was sent to this fucking hospital because of her, not the reason why she cried though. She thought that I was dying. Fuck! I think that things are starting to fade. Not necessarily in a bad way, no, in a way that all things do. I'm starting to realize that my obsession with him doesn't have to be what I thrive off of, and that I may have been hurting others around me because of it.

I think, that the action of bare handed grabbing, must have been my ignorance. I ignored dan, jay, ash, and grace. I only wanted him after all. I asked for his time, far too often. 

I ignored the others, and I realize now that I may have hurt them. How much more would it have hurt them if they could see my thoughts? That I was only using them, to get closer to him? 

How would he feel, knowing that I used his friends like that? Who he has been with through thick and thin? Who are a part of him, this cast iron pot. They are baked into that molten rock, because they built him. 

I now realize that they are him, and he is them. Dan, jay, grace, and him, they are a packaged deal. And I welcome that now, even if I couldn't bear it before. I love them all, even if I love him a little differently, I love them all the same.

Our bonds are special. And maybe mine are thin. Still knitting and knotting together. Still new and fresh. Maybe theirs are old and wise, knitting, knotting together, bigger, Better. Maybe they are. But I think I am still with them.
