Other than the new job, the other great thing about moving back to the city is that I have my friends back. It has been so hard not having them just around the corner the last few years. I know that if the whole thing with Stephen had happened here, Mike would have probably punched him or something and Anna and Elle would have fed me ridiculous amounts of ice cream. But now that I'm home, I still feel like there's a lot of distance between us.
I've spent too long away, too much has happened and at some point, I'll have to fill in the gaps, but I can't really face it, at least not yet.

Eight years out of high school, I should be rid of him. I certainly thought I had been.
