One day an average Japanese high school student named Jesus-Chan stumbled upon something he never should have, and then.... you'll have to read to find out what happens next. ;)

Preachers, priests, bishops - all ordained by Godly men before them to carry out His word. But yet they are men ordained by men. There is another job carried out in the shadows of the church steeples. A spiritual warfare unseen everyday yet accounted for in the greatest history record of all time, the Bible. Satan and demons are real my friends. Until the day Jesus returns there is no one to protect the unbelievers. No one but the ordained. The God Ordained.

A friend sends me the meme: Lucifer bearing frozen Jesus up a mountain. I've seen the 15th century illumination before and puzzled at the buck in the headlights cardboard cutout of Jesus before, laughed my ass off, then moved on with it.
Jesus loves it. The damage has been done. I'm sitting minding my own business, and then I feel hands massaging my back, and baptismal waters flowing from the Waters of Life, and Jesus leans over my ear and whispers: "Nice meme. You know, the great thing about being God, is that I am everyone's Dad. So I can make all the Dad jokes I want, and tell you to move your laundry away from my altar. Go move the dirty laundry, Alci."

He wraps his arms around my waist and blesses me with Pentecostal flame. My belly lights. "The meek shall inherit the Earth, but the messy go to Hell. Tell me, darling Daughter of Zion, shall you bear me up the mountain like forsaken Lucifer?"

Lucifer rankles, hearing Jesus' voice, and all three of us are in Lucifer's office. Lucifer glares daggers at Jesus, then me. Jesus pours himself chilled wine and turns it back and forth from water to wine, wine to water, water to wine.
"What is this, another Harrowing?" Lucifer mutters, busily doing paperwork and adjusting his wire rimmed glasses. He hisses in Jesus' direction, then his slit eyes focus on me. "Why did you bring God to Hell Alci!"
"Everywhere is my domain, dear son," Jesus says sagely, swilling the wine glass and drinking it contemplatively.
"See, Father, this incarnation of you I never liked," Lucifer says through gritted teeth. "Get out of the kingdom you cast me into, Light. Here is darkness. Here is defilement. Here, we have no Prince of Peace."
The Son of God smiles sagely. "Nowhere is without the providence of Light. I am All that Is."
"Ugh!" Lucifer shuts down, snapping his book closed and kicking us out of his office.
Jesus and I find ourselves with a glass of wine stranded in the bureaucracy of offices in Hell.
"Touchy much?" Jesus laughs, then looks to me expectantly. "You know where the bread and cheese is, Alci?"
"I'm hungry too. It's in the kitchen. I can be celestial wine and cheese girl if you promise never to do that again. You're putting me in a complicated situation, Yesh."
Jesus smiles like glass. "No promises are made over a covenant unless they are to never be broken, and I cannot break a promise. So no covenant, no standing ovation from demons, and no desire to descend to Death, my great enemy, again. I will tease Lucifer until the end of time. After all, he is my favorite Lightbringer."

--Queen Lilith--
  Lilith is a Dark Goddess, she is one of incredible power, charisma, and persuasion. She is a mistress of the divine feminine and a true seductress. She is a rare beauty that excites the desires of the flesh and she can bring her lovers to their knees. Lilith has many sides to her.  She encompasses the spectrum of divine feminine energies. She is the consort and lover of Samael who holds the title of Adversary. Many people think that Samael and Satan are the same beings, but they are not. Samael is not a demon, he is an Angel, a dark angel and one who is not aligned with the group of Holy Angels. Samael and Lilith have MANY children together, in fact, Lilith is the first of her kind and the mother of many offspring that are like her. She is a beautiful and incredible goddess of lust, passion, seduction, and pleasure. Lilith enjoys and loves sex. She is incredibly powerful and healing for feminine energies and as a Queen in her own right, helping both men and women to feel comfortable with their bodies and embrace themselves and their truth. She is a Divine Goddess and one of abundances and empowered feminine archetypes. She is incredible and beautiful to behold.  She is a goddess of women embracing their femininity. Unfortunately, to the church and other sects of society who hold women in more negative regard, that makes her a harlot. She grew and was infused with the power of the Dark Goddess. They completed each other's energies and she embraced her empowered feminine qualities and stepped into the powerful Goddess and Queen that she is today. She is a Queen of Darkness and understands the powerful energies that sleep in the night and can bend them to her will.  She hears the dark whispers of the forgotten night.  The sleeping Dark mother who calls to the creatures of the night and nurtures them in blankets of moonlight. She is that mother of all demons. But her most prideful of her children are her Prideful six.
--Samael Dark Angel--
Samael is often thought to be both good and evil. Samael is often accorded with Satan because he often has grim and destructive duties. He is often considered a fallen angel, like Satan and the chief of the evil spirits. He planted the Tree of Knowledge and tempted Adam and Eve to eat its fruit. Samael, whether you see him as good or evil, is one of the most fascinating angels in modern religion it isn't his place to render any sort of judgment at all. Everything happens due to Lucifer's whim, and that most certainly includes the destruction of unrepentant men. Once Lucifer has given the order to destroy, Samael immediately goes to fulfill this duty without question. On the hour of a person's death, it's said that the angel appears before them with their sword drawn, where at its tip is a drop of poison – Lucifer's venom. It is this poison that truly kills the person, withering and yellowing them until they are no more. The expression "to the taste of death" comes from this very act of angelic annihilation. He is said to be Lucifer's Right-hand man his closest soldier, the one that Lucifer sends when he wants something to be destroyed. He is in the same Rank as Satan and the Assassin you never see coming and Lilith's lover. He has only six children that has power just like him if not even stronger.

Lucifer was an angel of God who turned against his creator and was exiled from the heavens. Rules over the souls banished to hell for all of eternity. He was created by God when he made all the other angels in the heavens. This leads many to ask why God would create such an angel, only to have him turn on him and become the face of evil for the rest of eternity. But Lucifer was created before the concepts of "good" and "bad" existed. He was created before man and before sin was cast out into the world before his fall from heaven, Lucifer was a high and exalted angel. He was described as mild and happy. It is said that his forehead was high and broad, a sign of his intelligence. His form was perfect and his presence was noble and majestic. A light surrounded him and made him brighter and more beautiful than all the other angels. But Lucifer was jealous of Jesus Christ. Who was one with God before Lucifer was created? Lucifer knew that no matter how intelligent or respected he was, God would always choose Jesus Christ over him. As much as he tried, Lucifer could not accept this. When Lucifer was banished from heaven he decided to be his god and made Hell Soon he started to expand his forces.
--The four horsemen--
(Jesus Christ) opens the first four of the seven seals, which summons forth four beings that ride out on white, red, black, and pale horses. The four riders are seen as symbolizing Conquest, War, Famine, and Death, respectively. Then they got sealed backed up again and to this day they have not been unleashed. Nobody has seen them in over thousands of years no one knows how they look like anymore and not even the demons in hell can see them Rumor has it that only Lucifer can see them but not even he can break the seals. 
--The White Horse--
White horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.
--The Red Horse--
A fiery red one. Its rider was given the power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.
--The Black Horse--
Black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures,
--The Pale Horse-- 
Pale Horse! Its rider was named Death. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine, and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.
This was the last description of the four horsemen 
--The Seven Deadly Sins--
  They were God's main soldiers and reinforcements, but then God seen them as a threat to all of humanity and lashed out on them and cast them down to hell. Lucifer seen a chance to use them as his main force so he picked up where God lifted off and helped them be Hells main Army of 6 and known as some of the strongest beings out there 
1. Pride- is an excessive belief in one's abilities that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.
2. Envy- is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation.
3. Gluttony- is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.
4. Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body
5. Anger- is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath
6. Greed- is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness
7. Sloth-is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.
--Demons--
Evil spirits hell-bent on making one's life miserable. Some say that Demons are fallen angels who joined Satan in his rebellion against God and who were defeated and cast out of heaven along with Satan. But this is not true Demons our all children of Queen Lilith of the Creatures of the Underworld. Demons continue to serve the devil in his attempt to lead the world away from God and into sin. But Jesus will ultimately banish Satan and his demons into the eternal fire, Over and Over again. 
--Undead/Zombies--
The zombie often portrayed as an undead, flesh-eating, decaying corpse. It is known that the decay of flesh on the Undead can tell you how long they have been their rotting in Hell. The souls that are gathered by The Grim Reaper are then sent to hell and judging by how much they have sin they are either turned into Zombies or a weak Demonic Goblins  
--Beelzebub--
Beelzebub or Beelzebul is a name derived from a Philistine god, formerly worshipped in Ekron, and later adopted by some Abrahamic religions as a major demon. The name Beelzebub is associated with the Canaanite god Baal. Similar to Satan, he is known as one of the seven princes of Hell, instead of being an Angel he is a Monster one of the highest-ranked monsters of Typhon. Not much information on him 
--The Grim Reaper/Death--
  A skeletal figure, who is often shrouded in a dark, hooded robe and carrying a scythe to "reap" human souls and causes the victim's death by coming to collect that person's soul. Hourglass in hand, waiting for the last grain of sand to fall.  He collects the soul with a well-practiced cut of his razor-sharp blade. It may not be a pleasant image, but it is clear and unmistakable. Ultimately, this is the "job" of the Grim Reaper -- to put a human face on the concept of death. He is the one the Satan and Lucifer appointed to go to the overworld and collect the souls of the evilest. Otherwise, it is his servants going to get the small ones.
--Satan--
Personification of evil as it is conceived in many and various cultures and religious traditions. It is seen as the objectification of a hostile and destructive force. The prince of evil spirits and adversary of God. Satan is traditionally understood as an angel. Who rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven with other "fallen" angels before the creation of humankind. That is where he met Lucifer and become one of his closest allies but if you think Lucifer is the most evil you are mistaken. If you ever end up encountering Satan he will show you no Mersey he tortures the souls of the Black-hearted for his free time. No one knows what he looks like some say he has lost all traits of when he was an angel. That he has the Biggest Bat/Demon wings and horns the size of a human sword. Red teeth from drinking the blood of his victims and he has all red skin. One of the 7 Princes of hell.

--The Hydra--
A serpent-like water monster with reptilian traits.  A creature whose venom was so dangerous, that even the breath exhaled by the Hydra could be lethal to any man. Additionally, the Hydra had the confounding ability to regrow any decapitated limbs with alarming speed. It was said that for every head that was severed, two more would grow in its place. Its lair was the lake of Lerna in an ancient part of the Peloponnese. The Hydra would hide in an underwater cave that was said to have been an entrance to the underworld. Making sure that no Souls escaped and he feeds on the Undead for his food and when he is really hungry he goes for weak Demons. He is known to be unkillable so God sent him to hell as a punishment for being created. Where Lucifer decided to take him in so now he is as his dragon-like creature, and so he is faithful and loyal to only Lucifer or Lucifer closest.  
--Lucifer's son--
No one knows who his mother is only Lucifer himself and those who ask to end up dead. He is Lucifer's son and he was sent to the overworld to kill an angel and prove his is worthy of his demon title he is known as the 3rd strongest being out there right below Satan and Lucifer and no one knows where he is at right now or If he is even alive no one has seen him for over 18 years.
--The River of Styx--
The River Styx is not the only river in Hades. The other major rivers include the Acheron (river of pain), Lethe (river of forgetfulness), the Phlegethon (river of fire), and the Cocytus (river of wailing). Charon, the ferryman, ferries the souls of the dead across the river into the underworld, but he requires payment for his duties. He would locate his coin traditionally in the mouth of the dead. Without payment, the dead would not get into the underworld and would be left to drift on the shore for 100 years. The River Styx was believed to have magical properties and could make a person invulnerable. Achilles was allegedly dipped into the river by his mother, making him invulnerable, but his ankle remained a weak point as he was suspended by it when dipped into the river. Achilles became a great warrior, but he eventually died when an arrow struck him in the ankle. The death of Alexander the Great, the king of Macedonia, are the result of the poisoned water of the Styx.
--Cerberus--
Cerberus was a massive hound with three heads that guarded the entrance to the underworld. It was said that the beast only had an appetite for living flesh and so would only allow the deceased spirits to pass while consuming any living mortal who was foolish enough to come near him. It is said that the three heads were meant to symbolize the past, present, and future. In other versions, three heads represent youth, adulthood, and old age. The monstrous watchdog of the underworld. He Guards the Lazarus pit where Typhon is sealed 
--The Minotaur--
A fabulous monster of Crete that had the body of a man and the head of a bull. It was the offspring of Pasiphae, the wife of Minos, and a snow-white bull sent to Minos by the god Poseidon for sacrifice. Minos, instead of sacrificing it, kept it alive; Poseidon as a punishment made Pasiphae fall in love with it. Her child by the bull was shut up in the Labyrinth created for Minos by Daedalus. He later was killed and sent to hell just because he was born different. Lucifer learned of his past and connected with him and then took him in and gave him a home and now he guards to gates to the palaces where Lucifer lives
--Typhon--
Typhon was known as the "Father of All Monsters." He was birthed from Gaia (the earth) and Tartarus (the depths of hell). He had to have been the most ferocious creature ever to roam the earth. Typhon was massive. When he stood upright, his head brushed against the stars. The lower half of his body consisted of two coiled viper tails that constantly were hissing. Instead of fingers, several dragon heads erupted from his hands. He had had wings that, when spread, could blot out the sun. Fire flashed from his eyes, striking fear into the heart of any living creature, even the might Olympians. Typhon was cast down into the pits of Tartarus where he was sealed away for all time by God himself for posing a threat to the creatures he loved so much; Humans. However, the rage of this monster could not be contained. While he was trapped beneath the earth, he occasionally would experience fits of anger. His furry would manifest in the form of volcanic eruptions, and in this way, Typhon continues to terrorize humanity from his earthly prison. Where Cerberus guards his gate  
--Succubus--
Smart, sexy, and potentially deadly, the Succubus is not a demon to be underestimated. She is a powerful seductress who loves nothing more than to toy with men, and although she might seem fun at first, you wouldn't want to make her angry. They wear skimpy leather costumes, to flaunt their bodies, and they don't try to hide the telltale signs of their demonic nature. Bat wings, barbed tails, curled horns, and glowing eyes. They have intense charisma and seductive power to match their good looks. They are clever creatures who can tantalize men with their words as much as their bodies. They can be domineering and vengeful if they are slighted, but they ultimately take pride in their ability to please (and manipulate) men. Female sex-demons have been around since the time of the war between the Horsemen and God.
--Drakaina--
a Drakaina is a female serpent or dragon, sometimes with human-like features. The Drakaina was a monster generally slain only by Angels or ArchAngels, just because of their dragon-like features. They were not allowed to go to purgatory because the mother of nature banished the dragons from her home purgatory. They were not allowed to stay in the overworld because God saw them as too much of a force to be reckoned with for his new creations the humans. NO ONE has seen one in 4,000 years only the dragon Python that rules over the lava of lucifer's castle

Rules over lucifer's castle. The Python is the only earth-dragon that anyone knows that is still alive. Python was variously described as a male or female Drakon no one knew which one. No more information.

Sometimes in big Hollywood movies they'll have these crazy chase scenes where somebody jumps or gets thrown from a moving car. The person hits the ground and rolls for a bit. Then they come to a stop and pop up and dust themselves off, like it was no big deal. Whenever I see that I think, That's rubbish. Getting thrown out of a moving car hurts way worse than that.
I was nine years old when my mother threw me out of a moving car. It happened on a Sunday. I know it was on a Sunday because we were coming home from church, and every Sunday in my childhood meant church. We never missed church. My mother was—and still is —a deeply religious woman. Very Christian. Like indigenous peoples around the world, black South Africans adopted the religion of our colonizers. By "adopt" I mean it was forced on us. The white man was quite stern with the native. "You need to pray to Jesus," he said.
"Jesus will save you." To which the native replied, "Well, we do need to be saved—saved from you, but that's beside the point. So let's give this Jesus thing a shot."

My whole family is religious, but where my mother was Team Jesus all the way, my grandmother balanced her Christian faith with the traditional Xhosa beliefs she'd grown up with, communicating with the spirits of our ancestors.
For a long time I didn't understand why so many black people had abandoned their indigenous faith for Christianity. But the more we went to church and the longer I sat in those pews the more I learned about how Christianity works: If you're Native American and you pray to the wolves, you're a savage.

If you're African and you pray to your ancestors, you're a primitive.
But when white people pray to a guy who turns water into wine, well, that's just common sense.

My childhood involved church, or some form of church, at least four nights a week. Tuesday night was the prayer meeting. Wednesday night was Bible study. Thursday night was Youth church. Friday and Saturday we had off. (Time to sin!) Then on Sunday we went to church.
Three churches, to be precise. The reason we went to three churches was because my mom said each church gave her something different. The first church offered jubilant praise of the Lord. The second church offered deep analysis of the scripture, which my mom loved. The third church offered passion and catharsis; it was a place where you truly felt the presence of the Holy Spirit inside you.

Completely by coincidence, as we moved back and forth between these churches, I noticed that each one had its own distinct racial makeup: Jubilant church was mixed church. Analytical church was white church. And passionate, cathartic church, that was black church.
Mixed church was Rhema Bible Church. Rhema was one of those huge, supermodern, suburban megachurches. The pastor, Ray McCauley, was an ex-bodybuilder with a big smile and the personality of a cheerleader. Pastor Ray had competed in the 1974 Mr. Universe competition. He placed third. The winner that year was Arnold Schwarzenegger. Every week, Ray would be up onstage working really hard to make Jesus cool. There was arena-style seating and a rock band jamming out with the latest Christian contemporary pop.
Everyone sang along, and if you didn't know the words that was okay because they were all right up there on the Jumbotron for you. It was Christian karaoke, basically. I always had a blast at mixed church.

White church was Rosebank Union in Sandton, a very white and wealthy part of Johannesburg. I loved white church because I didn't actually have to go to the main service. My mom would go to that, and I would go to the youth side, to Sunday school. In Sunday school we got to read cool stories. Noah and the flood was obviously a favorite; I had a personal stake there. But I also loved the stories about Moses parting the Red Sea, David slaying Goliath, Jesus whipping the money changers in the temple.
I grew up in a home with very little exposure to popular culture.
Boyz II Men were not allowed in my mother's house. Songs about some guy grinding on a girl all night long?
No, no, no. That was forbidden. I'd hear the other kids at school singing "End of the Road," and I'd have no clue what was going on. I knew of these Boyz II Men, but I didn't really know who they were.
The only music I knew was from church: soaring, uplifting songs praising Jesus. It was the same with movies. My mom didn't want my mind polluted by movies with sex and violence. So the Bible was my action movie. Samson was my superhero. He was my He-Man. A guy beating a thousand people to death with the jawbone of a donkey? That's pretty badass.

Eventually you get to Paul writing letters to the Ephesians and it loses the plot, but the Old Testament and the Gospels? I could quote you anything from those pages, chapter and verse. There were Bible games and quizzes every week at white church, and I kicked everyone's ass.

Then there was black church.
There was always some kind of black church service going on somewhere, and we tried them all.

In the township, that typically meant an outdoor, tent-revival-style church. We usually went to my grandmother's church, an old-school Methodist congregation, five hundred African grannies in blue-and-white blouses, clutching their Bibles and patiently burning in the hot African sun. Black church was rough, I won't lie. No air-conditioning. No lyrics up on Jumbotrons. And it lasted forever, three or four hours at least, which confused me because white church was only like an hour—in and out, thanks for coming. But at black church I would sit there for what felt like an eternity, trying to figure out why time moved so slowly. Is it possible for time to actually stop? If so, why does it stop at black church and not at white church? I eventually decided black people needed more time with Jesus because we suffered more. "I'm here to fill up on my blessings for the week," my mother used to say.

The more time we spent at church, she reckoned, the more blessings we accrued, like a Starbucks Rewards Card.
Black church had one saving grace. If I could make it to the third or fourth hour I'd get to watch the pastor cast demons out of people.

People possessed by demons would start running up and down the aisles like madmen, screaming in tongues. The ushers would tackle them, like bouncers at a club, and hold them down for the pastor. The pastor would grab their heads and violently shake them back and forth, shouting, "I cast out this spirit in the name of Jesus!" Some pastors were more violent than others, but what they all had in common was that they wouldn't stop until the demon was gone and the congregant had gone limp and collapsed on the stage. The person had to fall. Because if he didn't fall that meant the demon was powerful and the pastor needed to come at him even harder. You could be a linebacker in the NFL. Didn't matter. That pastor was taking you down. Good Lord, that was fun.

Christian karaoke, badass action stories, and violent faith healers—man, I loved church. The thing I didn't love was the lengths we had to go to in order to get to church. It was an epic slog. We lived in Eden Park, a tiny suburb way outside Johannesburg. It took us an hour to get to white church, another forty-five minutes to get to mixed church, and another forty-five minutes to drive out to Soweto for black church. Then, if that wasn't bad enough, some Sundays we'd double back to white church for a special evening service. By the time we finally got home at night, I'd collapse into bed.
This particular Sunday, the Sunday I was hurled from a moving car, started out like any other Sunday. My mother woke me up, made me porridge for breakfast. I took my bath while she dressed my baby brother Andrew, who was nine months old. Then we went out to the driveway, but once we were finally all strapped in and ready to go, the car wouldn't start. My mom had this ancient, broken-down, bright-tangerine Volkswagen Beetle that she picked up for next to nothing. The reason she got it for next to nothing was because it was always breaking down. To this day I hate secondhand cars. Almost everything that's ever gone wrong in my life I can trace back to a secondhand car. Secondhand cars made me get detention for being late for school. Secondhand cars left us hitchhiking on the side of the freeway. A secondhand car was also the reason my mom got married. If it hadn't been for the Volkswagen that didn't work, we never would have looked for the mechanic who became the husband who became the stepfather who became the man who tortured us for years and put a bullet in the back of my mother's head—I'll take the new car with the As much as I loved church, the idea of a nine-hour slog, from mixed church to white church to black church then doubling back to white church again, was just too much to contemplate. It was bad enough in a car, but taking public transport would be twice as long and twice as hard. When the Volkswagen refused to start, inside my head I was praying, Please say we'll just stay home. Please say we'll just stay home. Then I glanced over to see the determined look on my mother's face, her jaw set, and I knew I had a long day ahead of me.
"Come," she said. "We're going to catch minibuses."

This is my story.

Leo was asleep.

He thought he saw a flash of light, and it did indeed blind him.

Leo could not see.

He was surrounded by parched and cracked land. The land stretched far, and far. Even if he could see, the end of the end of the desert he was in was nowhere to be found.

It was cold. The night was cold in the dry desert, and Leo was cold. He felt that he only had a small portion of magic energy remaining in his body. So, he cast a small flame and started walking, slow.

The wind threatened the small flame he held before his face. He walked for half a mile, when the flame died. 

He shivered in the wind, and he eventually stopped.

Voices. Screams. Wails.

Leo was reminded of all of the people he had killed for King Brimstone in his early youth. He remembered each scream distinctly in this moment. 

He felt the stench of death: it was warm—a sickening warmth. He wished he was back in the cold at this moment. 

The weight of his sins crushed him.

But, then he saw light upon light, and glory upon glory descend from the heavens, and he saw figure within it. 

The figure said, "Leo, Leo, why have you persecuted me?"

Leo said, "Who are you, Lord?"

The figure said, "I am Jesus who you persecuted on behalf of King Brimstone. You have killed many of my children in his name, while you were under the yolk of bondage."

"Lord, what shall I do to removes the weight of my sins. I am a man, unclean in my manner and speech. What shall I do to be saved?"

"Surrender to me, and I will quicken your mortal flesh, and you will become the rod that breaks the back of King Brimstone. Greater is the Holy Spirit that will be in you than, the minion of darkness King Brimstone—greater than the master he serves, the prince of this world."

"But Lord," Leo said, "Why do you allow demons into this world? Why do you allow corruption? Are you not greater than sin? Have you not defeated it? Why should I believe?"

Jesus answered, "Child, you know not what you speak, but I will explain. If God were to pardon sin without a sufficient payment, then he himself would be corrupt. He is a holy God, and if the God of the universe were to break his own rules, he would have sinned, and God does not sin."

"But wouldn't it be better for him to sin and save all then discard some, because they don't believe!?"

"Foolish child, if God becomes corrupt, then how can humanity have any hope of peace? If the last thing in the universe were to lose his holiness, who could save the world? Humans can't. They can't even save themselves, let alone the entire world. For all fall short of the glory of God. For all fail to live up to the law."

Leo cried out, "Lord! I believe! Help my unbelief and wash away my sins!"

"According to your faith, you are clean." 

So, Leo woke up. 

He found his body healed. He was still in the land where Sodom used to be, and he felt stronger than he had ever been before.

'He did indeed 'quicken' my mortal flesh,' Leo thought to himself.

He looked above him and he saw a crack in the clouds, an opening. He saw a bright light pour out, and he saw the sun.

He wept. 

For the first time in his life, he saw the light of the world. He saw the glory of heaven, and now he saw the sun.

"Glory be to God!" Leo said, "I am not worthy. Not worthy at all."

And a voice came down from the opening between the clouds. 

It said, "Who will go and destroy King Brimstone, and his servant Harumi? They have done what is evil in my eyes. They have dealt treacherously in my sight. They think themselves to be God. They play with the powers of hell. They kill the innocents. They kill without restraint. Who will go and be my sword?"

"I will Lord," Leo said, "I am not worthy. In fact, I am the chief of sinners, but I pray that I would do what is pleasing in your sight, that I would protect the widows and the fatherless, that I would protect the poor and the weak—that I destroy what is evil in your sight."

"Now go," the voice said: "Be strong and courageous, for I will be with you. "For you and all who believe have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of yourself. You are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; you are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in your body. For you and everyone which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in your mortal flesh."

The voice said this while the opening in the sky was closing: "Now be wary, for Harumi, a slave to Satan approaches to kill you."

The sky rolled, like the sea of heaven, and Leo prepared for battle.

Journey together with a fallen Noble and understand the world from a different perspective, the perspective of the humble noble wanderer.

He seeks growth above all else.

When Jesus entered Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever; he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she got up and began to serve him. That evening they brought to him many who were possessed with demons; and he cast out the spirits with a word, and cured all who were sick. This was to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet Isaiah, "He took our infirmities and bore our diseases."

The position of the Gospel according to Matthew as the first of the four gospels in the New Testament reflects both the view that it was the first to be written, a view that goes back to the late second century A.D., and the esteem in which it was held by the church; no other was so frequently quoted in the noncanonical literature of earliest Christianity. Although the majority of scholars now reject the opinion about the time of its composition, the high estimation of this work remains. The reason for that becomes clear upon study of the way in which Matthew presents his story of Jesus, the demands of Christian discipleship, and the breaking-in of the new and final age through the ministry but particularly through the death and resurrection of Jesus.
The gospel begins with a narrative prologue, the first part of which is a genealogy of Jesus starting with Abraham, the father of Israel. Yet at the beginning of that genealogy Jesus is designated as “the son of David, the son of Abraham”. The kingly ancestor who lived about a thousand years after Abraham is named first, for this is the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the royal anointed one. In the first of the episodes of the infancy narrative that follow the genealogy, the mystery of Jesus’ person is declared. He is conceived of a virgin by the power of the Spirit of God. The first of the gospel’s fulfillment citations, whose purpose it is to show that he was the one to whom the prophecies of Israel were pointing, occurs here: he shall be named Emmanuel, for in him God is with us.
The announcement of the birth of this newborn king of the Jews greatly troubles not only King Herod but all Jerusalem, yet the Gentile magi are overjoyed to find him and offer him their homage and their gifts. Thus his ultimate rejection by the mass of his own people and his acceptance by the Gentile nations is foreshadowed. He must be taken to Egypt to escape the murderous plan of Herod. By his sojourn there and his subsequent return after the king’s death he relives the Exodus experience of Israel. The words of the Lord spoken through the prophet Hosea, “Out of Egypt I called my son,” are fulfilled in him; if Israel was God’s son, Jesus is so in a way far surpassing the dignity of that nation, as his marvelous birth and the unfolding of his story show. Back in the land of Israel, he must be taken to Nazareth in Galilee because of the danger to his life in Judea, where Herod’s son Archelaus is now ruling. The sufferings of Jesus in the infancy narrative anticipate those of his passion, and if his life is spared in spite of the dangers, it is because his destiny is finally to give it on the cross as “a ransom for many”. Thus the word of the angel will be fulfilled, “…he will save his people from their sins”.
In Matthew begins his account of the ministry of Jesus, introducing it by the preparatory preaching of John the Baptist, the baptism of Jesus that culminates in God’s proclaiming him his “beloved Son”, and the temptation in which he proves his true sonship by his victory over the devil’s attempt to deflect him from the way of obedience to the Father. The central message of Jesus’ preaching is the coming of the kingdom of heaven and the need for repentance, a complete change of heart and conduct, on the part of those who are to receive this great gift of God Galilee is the setting for most of his ministry; he leaves there for Judea only and his ministry in Jerusalem, the goal of his journey, is limited to a few days.
In this extensive material there are five great discourses of Jesus, each concluding with the formula “When Jesus finished these words” or one closely similar. These are an important structure of the gospel. In every case the discourse is preceded by a narrative section, each narrative and discourse together constituting a “book” of the gospel. The discourses are, respectively, the “Sermon on the Mount”, the missionary discourse, the parable discourse, the “church

The black circles under Ray-Bs eyes matched his coffee, and didn't go unnoticed by anyone at the station. "Who punched your sorry ass?" snickered the captain.
"It's called, another sleepless night, sir."
     
"Well, hell Ray-B, there's nothing new on those connected homicides!" "Go home!"
"I think I will take you up on that cappy!" Ray-B smiled a toothy smile and added, "I always knew you loved me!"
      
"Well now honey, go home and get some sleep!" Murmured the captain teasenly. Rolling the window down and adjusting the mirror as was Ray-B's custom. Turning on the radio and turning off his scanner, the realization that the rest of the day off hit him in small waves of euphoria. 
      
Arriving home, he intentionally turned his phone to silent and plopped himself heavily upon his bed, instantly falling asleep. 
     
Ray-B found himself in the same dream-state that he normally found himself since becoming possessed. Although he had been saved, the taint of evil still held on. Still haunted his dreams.
      
Everywhere he looked seemed like fog. Hazy, like his eyes were covered in film. Stumbling around like a blind man. He found himself in a ravine. The same ravine the demon put him in. Yet steeper on both sides.  He felt so disoriented, so confused. Where was he? 

Which side was the right one? Why did he keep having the same nightmare? All he knew is that he couldn't sit still. He had to try, keep trying, keep moving forward. 
     
Climbing wasn't something that came easy to him, yet with every inch higher came another thought, another dream, another silent wish. A wish to be free of this demon. He felt like a sloth, inching forward, one foot-hold to another. Yet with each attempt to get to the top, the very last reach, the very last push would always become his first. Always finding himself back at the bottom. The rocks giving way even before he touched them. 
     
Suddenly and without warning, Ray-B would find himself conscious, with self-awareness flooding his mind. He would find himself again conscious. Conscious with huge lapses in time. Sometimes with whole days missing.

So many things had changed during the times when Ray-B was no longer in control, enslaved. A slave to the whims of the demon. One such change was that he was lacking in the ability to witness the actions of the demon as he had before. That worried him.  
      
Not seeing what the demon was up to, how the demon was constantly leaving behind evidence that could link him to the crimes it committed, culminating into an itch he could no longer scratch.

Sitting down, he began to mentally take note his options. There weren't many. Only one. It was a long shot. He knew that the only thing he could do was to find a way to get this demonic taint out of him. To get it exorsized. Cut out like a life-threatening cancer. He had to find a priest, a pastor, hell even a witch doctor would work. Maybe one who had some balls.
       
For now the only thing he could do is pray. Finding himself again in the ravine gave him time. Time that really didn't play by earthly rules. In the ravine a minute could be a day. In here there was no sense of time. He wondered if that was what heaven would be like... like a day in the sun...the best of all days.
 
Prostrating himself before God, he began to pray, to beg... "Dear Jesus, I know I haven't been a believer for very long and I don't know if you can even hear me from here. But, Lord Jesus, I believe that you sacrificed your life so that sinners like me can be saved. Please forgive me for all my sins and unbelief. Please cast the demon taint out of me."
     
With tears flooding his eyes, Ray-B revealed his soul before God, and became reborn. A sound like thunder bore down on him, lighting up the darkness. An earth-moving trumpet sounded, instantly casting the demon taint out of him
     
Ray-B reclaimed the rights to his body and his soul, with the help of his new friends, "Angels of the light."
     
Grateful to God for his new life. A life promised only to God. Every promise he made came flooding back to his mind. Everyone of which he had a mind to keep. Declarations to God. A booming voice raised Ray-B's short hairs... "You are hereby a demon caster!"
     
Ray-B no longer seemed in control of his body. His hands shot forward, palms up. A sword was then laid on them, sending a holy jolt of electricity through him. As he stood up, a light floated up from the sword and filled him. Filled him with purpose, with determination.  
     
Ever since all of his sins had been forgiven, he felt so light, like at any moment, he might float up to the ceiling. Such
elation! He felt an upload of heavenly knowledge. 
     
"My marching orders!" No more demons, no more demonic taint!" thought Ray-B. From now on he was considered annointed. Annointed in holy oil. Christ's chosen.
    
Annointed to balance the scales between  "The Light" and "The Darkness." The very darkness that was now killing anybody that got in its way. Upsetting the balance and spurring Ray-B with purpose. The trumpet sounded again, ushering forth blood from his eyes and ears.
     
Ray-B began to weep. He wept for an unknown reason. He wept until he had no more tears. His tears damponed his pillow, they clensed his mind of the darkness he had witnessed.
      
Anything that "The Darkness" had touched left a taint. A taint of satans annointing oil, alive, (like the exoskeleton of a lokust) and although the demons were gone, the demonic taint also had to be cast out. 
     
Ray-B was tired from all that he had gone through. He felt crudely violated, almost raped of his innocence. Barely making it to his bed, Ray-B slept. For once in his life he felt protected. Protected by Angels of "The Light." Sitting on the floor, against the bed was the "Sword of the light!"

As Ray-B awoke, he instantly kneeled down on the floor and began the day with a prayer. A silent reminder filled Ray-B with a renewed purpose. 
     
Springing up with Godly energy, Ray-B had never before known. He actually skipped to his police cruiser.
     
"Where to begin," thought Ray-B. Turning on his scanner, rolling down his window, adjusting the mirror, Ray-B silently prayed for guidance. The guidance he needed to stop demons, and the demon taint.

A journey from sinner to saint as a prominent homicide detective begins to piece together clues that lead to the arrests of unusual suspects. Searching for anything that could tie the murders together, and finding out that it's a demon he's after
