"WAIT WHAT?!"

Harry peaked into the living room, where his two Godparents had just entered. Athena had told him to wait at the doorway for a moment, but he couldn't help looking to see what was causing all the commotion.

"Oh my god..." Sirius was gaping at Regulus.

"We're engaged!" Cassandra Malfoy said, waving her new ring in her elder sister's face. Athena stayed still for a minute, then engulfed her sister in a hug.

(I sincerely apologize that I made them engaged so late. Really, but some people get married late, so...)

"Harry, you can come in now!" Athena called out, pulling away from Cassandra. Harry awkwardly entered the living room.

"This is Cassandra Malfoy, my younger sister, and that is Regulus Black, Sirius's younger brother," Athena introduced the slightly younger two. They were almost carbon copies of Athena and Sirius.

"Alright, this may come as a surprise, but Cassandra and Regulus are engaged!" Athena exclaimed happily to a very bewildered Harry.

"Oh..."

"Sirius, show Harry to his room, I'll set the table. It's getting late."

Sirius led Harry up the stairs to his new room. Well, it would be temporary, summer next year Harry would stay four weeks with the Dursleys and then come live with Sirius. Blood wards.

Cassandra and Athena set the table, while Regulus just made sure nothing fell. (Cassandra spilled a huge bottle of milk once. 'Not' pretty)

Twenty minutes later, Harry and Sirius came down, and Harry looked simply elated.

"I feel odd. I'm in a house full of Gryffindors," Regulus joked. Sirius patted him on the shoulder.

"Oh, just to get you to know Cassandra and Regulus better, we'll tell you how we met them in the first place."

"Isn't Cassandra your sister?"

Athena and the others exchanged a look.

"Er, I only met her when I was seventeen. It all started with..."

And then the Ministry officials escorted him to his Animagus proof cell, where he would be staying for twenty dreadful years.

Peter was close to breaking. He couldn't transform and the Dementors were...

Mere 'words' could not describe them.

Peter was beginning to lose hope. Again.

Until a loud crash sounded from the wall and it exploded. Peter stumbled backwards in fear. As fast as he could in his state, he got up. He was scared.

And there stood Barty Crouch Jr.

Who was supposed to be flipping 'dead.'

"Come on, 'Wormtail.' The Dark Lord expects you," Crouch Jr snapped, his wand gripped tightly in his right hand. Peter quivered in fear. All the same, he 'did' wish to leave Azkaban, but he didn't want to see the Dark Lord.

"Come. NOW!" Crouch Jr bellowed.

Peter remained still, Athena's words still echoing in his head with the Dementors just outside his cell.

When that one fateful spell was spoken.

I REGRET TO INFORM YOU ALL THIS IS DIDCONTINUED! I just lost the motivation to continue this and honestly I dont think disowned was meant to become a series. I just feel like everyone's a ghost reader and this story progresses too slow. If anyone wants chapters, I could upload those.

Athena was taunted a lot in the Great Hall. Sirius was too, but not as much as Athena, as he had a well-known reputation. 

"Ignore them," Lily said to a silent Athena.

"I couldn't care less about being disowned, anyway," Athena said with no emotion to describe her tone of voice.

'But what if you do?' A part of her nagged. She quickly shook the thought off. 'No, I've always wanted to escape from them..!'

But Athena still wasn't too sure that she could recover from being disowned that easily.

"—....SHAME OF MY FLESH! SCUM! YOU HAVE SMEARED THE NAME OF BLACK! HOW DARE YOU RUN AWAY?!" Mrs Black's shrieks rang out across the Great Hall. "I EVEN GOT AN OFFER FROM LADY MALFOY TO MARRY YOU OFF TO THEIR BLOOD-TRAITOR DAUGHTER BECAUSE YOU BOTH ARE SIMILAR! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH THIS EMBARRASSED THE NOBLE HOUSE OF BLACK?! TO BE COMPARED TO ANOTHER BLOOD-TRAITOR AND ENDING UP BEING JUST AS BAD?! YOU HAVE OFFICIALLY BEEN DISOWNED! I CANNOT TAKE YOUR NONSENSE ANYMORE!!!"

Athena covered her ears; half because of the high pitched screams of Mrs Black, and half of embarrassment. 'Did Mrs Black have to mention my mother's marriage offer?!'

Then the Howler burned down into ashes.

"Wait what?! Your mother wanted to marry you off to Sirius Black?!" A Gryffindor girl exclaimed.

"Don't remind me...." Athena groaned, burying her head into Lily's shoulder.

Then another Howler was dumped in front of Athena. She grimaced, then opened it while holding it a foot away from her face.

"ATHENA LUNA MALFOY! HOW DARE YOU SMEAR THE NAME OF MALFOY?! YOU HAVE HUMILIATED US! RUNNING OFF LIKE THAT WITH SIRIUS BLACK?! I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN!!" Many gasped at Luna Malfoy's new revelation. "BLOOD-TRAITOR! A SHAME TO THE NAME OF MALFOY! YOU HAVE VIOLATED OUR FAMILY MOTTO!! PURITY WILL ALWAYS CONQUER!! YOU ARE NO LONGER OUR DAUGHTER! WE HAVE SENT A HOWLER WHICH IS SOMETHING NO MALFOY HAS DONE IN OVER SEVERAL CENTURIES!!! AND HOW DARE YOU EMBARRASS US IN DIAGON ALLEY WITH THOSE BLOOD-TRAITORS?! YOU WILL REGRET NOT LISTENING TO US, OH JUST YOU WAIT, YOU WILL COME BACK BEGGING FOR US TO TAKE YOU BACK IN!! SEE IF POTTER IS GOING TO HELP YOU THEN!!"

Then the Howler turned to dust. Silence descended upon the Great Hall.

"Well, 'Luna' and 'Abraxas', I'll have you know, I WILL NOT EVER COME BACK!!" Athena yelled and sneered.

Lily and a few other Gryffindors shouted in agreement.

"Uh..James, what exactly happened over the summer?..." Remus Lupin asked James cautiously. After James exchanged a look with Athena and Sirius, he launched into a story on what happened.

"So you really have been staying with Ja—Potter over the summer then?" Lily said, with a hint of anxiety of speaking up.

"Yeah," Athena said, raising an eyebrow at Lily.

Lily was acting very weird.

•DURING BREAK, BY THE LAKE:•

Athena had just spotted Severus.

"Hey..." she said awkwardly.

"So what really happened over the summer?" He asked coldly.

"Sirius and I ran away to the Potters...." then Athena broke into another long explanation of the disastrous dinner party at the Blacks.

"....I didn't want to be controlled anymore!" Athena finished.

"Wait, so your mother actually wanted to arrange an actual marriage contract with Black?!"

Athena nodded soberly. "That's why I started ignoring you guys. I don't even know why I called Lily a.....you-know-what."

Severus crossed his arms and appeared deep in thought. "Forgiven."

But then his expression darkened. Athena turned around to see what caused it. The four Marauders, chatting happily with each other. They seemed to ignore Severus.

"It's fine. I talked to James and Sirius about their bullying problem over the summer," Athena said to Severus. He just nodded skeptically, then went to join his other friends. Athena then went to look for Lily.

"I cannot believe that she is going to be my sister-in-law!" A snobby voice exclaimed to their friends. Because even though Athena was disowned, it didn't mean that she wasn't Lucius's sister anymore, so Narcissa would still be her sister-in-law.

"How about you keep your opinions to yourself, 'Narcissa'," Sirius snapped. "Because I cannot believe that you are actually 'my' cousin!"

Athena walked past Narcissa and to Lily, who was watching the scene from the distance. "Lily!"

She looked elated. 

"What happened?" Athena urged her. 

"James and I have made peace with each other," she said, smiling. "So at least we can be friends now."

Yep. Lily called James, James, instead of Potter. "That's great! Although your arguments were pretty amusing to watch," Athena joked, which earned her a gentle slap in the arm from Lily. "Alright, I surrender!" Athena said dramatically, which made Lily giggle.

"You know, Lils, this is the kind of life I wanted to have," Athena suddenly said, gesturing all around them, with everyone chatting happily. Sure, they still had the threat of Voldemort hanging over them, but likewise, they'd deal with the problem when it came. They could only prepare now.

"Well, you can have it now," Lily smiled reassuringly. But Athena bit her lip. "I dunno... I think that I don't care about being disowned, but it's hard cutting ties with your family."

"But didn't you say that...?"

"Yeah, but you have to remember. I actually loved them for a while. And even after that confrontation in Diagon Alley, I still feel somewhat attached or love them still."

"Well, they're horrible people, they should be grateful that you still love them even after all the suffering you've been through at their hands!" Lily declared. Athena smiled at Lily's defence of her.

"Athena?"

Athena almost jumped. When did James call me by my first name?

"Yeah?"

"Could I tell you something? In private?"

Athena exchanged a look with Lily, then shrugged. "Sure..?"

James led her over to by the lake, then put up silencing charms. "Can I trust you not to tell anyone what I am about to tell you?" James said urgently. Athena was confused. "Well, as long as you don't expect me to cover up a murder," she joked.

"'Promise me.'"

"Okay okay!" Athena said defensively.

"Sirius, Peter, and I are all Animagi," James blurted out.

"Really? So that's what you've been doing whenever you disappeared at the Manor?" Athena asked. James couldn't tell if she was mad or not. 

James nodded.

"Cool!" Athena smiled. "And, no, I won't tell."

"Great. But don't tell Lily yet."

"Okay," Athena nodded. "But, if you don't mind me asking, is there a reason you became Animagi?"

James looked out to the lake, then looked over to Remus in the distance. Remus shook his head.

"Nope!" Then James removed the silencing charm.

"You can trust me, you know. It's not in my nature to snitch," Athena said sincerely. "And don't make a pun out of it!" She added quickly when James opened his mouth to speak, a grin on his face. 

"Anyways, if you don't want Lily to know, I won't tell her," Athena added in a whisper, then went back to Lily.

"So?"

"Nothing," Athena shrugged. Lily looked skeptical, but didn't push it.

•IN THE GRYFFINDOR COMMON ROOM THAT NIGHT (7 pm):•

"Who wants to play truth or dare!?" James called out across the common room. Athena nearly dropped her quill. "Merlin! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" Athena yelled back, going back to her essay. But a few others went over to James for the truth or dare game. So Athena got up and joined them, but dragged Lily with her as well. "The homework is due in a week!" Athena exasperated to her as they sat down in a circle.

"Says the girl that was doing it just a minute ago!" Lily retorted, smiling.

"Alright alright! The rules of truth of dare!" Sirius stood up on one of the tables. (The rules will be a little similar to Payback Gone Wrong {one of my stories on Wattpad that isn't complete yet because of writer's block}, but still..!)

"There is no refusing a dare here!" Sirius announced melodramatically. "But however, if you don't want to answer a truth, you must do three dares."

A few gaped and said,"No fair!" But it wasn't worth it, as Sirius sat back down and the game began.

"Patil, truth or dare?" Sirius asked one of the guys. 

"Dare!"

"I dare you to scream,'I love chickens' as loud as you can out the window!"

Everyone laughed. Patil got up and screamed...

"I LOVE CHICKENS!"

It took two minutes for everyone to stop laughing, then it was James's turn, Remus's....

Lily even dared one of the girls to throw a random memory across the room.

Then it was Athena's turn.

"Athena, truth or dare?" Sirius asked Athena. (yeah, don't ask about the chronological {I don't even think I know how to pronounce that word XD} order of people)

"Truth!" She declared. 

"Aww...hmm...Prongs, could you give me that bottle?" Sirius said to James, as if exchanging a telepathic message. James smirked and took out a clear liquid bottle. Sirius took it from James and walked over to Athena, uncorked it, and handed it to her.

"What do you smell?"

Confused, she held it up and sniffed.

Fresh wood....flowers.....Italian food...and...'hair conditioner?!'

"Um... fresh wood, flowers, pasta or tomato sauce, and hair conditioner....?"

Lily burst out laughing, which caused everyone to laugh.

"What? Do any of you smell of wood or hair conditioner?" Athena re-corked the potion then crossed her arms.

"Potter Manor smells like fresh wood," Sirius said, finally able to stop laughing. "And flowers...." he pointed to Lily. "Then pasta is probably Italian food."

"Yeah, I love Italian food, so that's logical," Athena nodded. "So, 'who smells of hair conditioner?'   Because I'm definitely not that obsessed with my hair," she gave Sirius a pointed look. He put a hand over his heart. "I'm hurt!" He sighed dramatically. "Anyways, so you really don't know the answer to the last one?"

Athena shook her head, starting to get a little impatient. "What is it?!"

James, Peter, and Remus seemed to get it though, because they were stifling guffaws.

"'Me.'"

"I smelled flowers, because Lily and I are best friends, I smelled fresh wood because I loved Potter Manor, I smelled hair conditioner because we got along over the summer?" Lily's names after a flower, you use too much hair conditioner, Potter Manor is the fresh wood, then the pasta is Italian food."

"Probably," Alice Fortescue nodded.

"Alice! Truth or dare?" Athena asked.

"I'm going to bed," Lily yawned after two hours. Athena and the others remaining shrugged as Lily went up to her dormitory.

"It's only nine pm!" Athena exclaimed. "I used to stay up to like three am. Doing literally nothing, but still!"

James and Sirius shrugged. There were only about twelve people left other than James, Sirius, and Athena. Athena retired from truth or dare around half an hour later to complete her Charms essay.
