First of all let me introduce myself.

I am a webnovel addict. I am on this app for a very long time. I am on this app for around 3 official years and 4 unofficial because I didn't sign in for around a year.

Now in my four years I have read a ton of fics and fanfics. Now some were good, some were great and some were underrated or overrated.

Now I have seen a problem with various fics that they are not on the spot that they deserve the content in those fics is amazing, creator is continuously in touch with readers and consider their suggestions. But with all this they are not going up in the rankings. So what's the problem.

Now I am not an expert in this subject but throughout the years I have observed webnovel ranking system and I think that I can help. So let's start.

BOOK COVER:- a book cover is the first thing a reader will see when he will search for any book. So make sure that you have a good book cover.

Some creators leaves the book cover blank that is a mistake according to me. Because the first impression comes from the book cover itself. If your book cover is not good enough and your content is good even then most of the readers will not read your book.

They will not even click on your book. I too am on this list. I have avoid various books because their book cover was not good or didn't give that feel for a good one and half year.

So please choose a good cover. You can easily search it on a Google and put down a disclaimer.

HOW TO CHOOSE A COVER :- choose a cover which define your book, like I have seen various times authors put a cover of cute things which are not in the books, that is downright a crime according to me. I mean your book is about war and mc conquering the world and you are putting a cover of a girl playing in sea 😡😡😡, it is a crime according to me.

If you are writing a hentai or echhi then it is OK to put down a cover of a cute loli or SLUTTY character of that anime or fic.

But you topic is war and then you are putting a cover of a girl then it is not appropriate.

You should put a cover which define your book.

Actually you should put a cover with a quote defining your books topic or main character.

For example : your main objective in the book is that your main character is going to conquer the world then you should put a picture of a king who is sitting on throne. Or a picture of a majestic castle.

And if you are putting a picture with a quote like a king seeing his subjects with quote like " energy and persistence conquer everything." Like that.

Or if your books topic is about war than you should put a cover of battlefield or flames.

So all in all put a cover which alienate with your books topic.

TITLE:- title is second most important thing after the cover. A title should give the feel of the books topic. Like a war god in multiverse or the new void god or God's wraith, son of King etc.

A title according to me is a short preview of the book if it is not good many people will not read your book.

So atleast think before titling book. I will not tell the name of the books but I have seen the titles which has nothing to do with book or mc.

Keep your title as close as possible to mc's dream or his personality.

So that's it for title. 

SYNOPSIS :- my long lost archenemy. I am bad at it truly bad at it. My advice put what ever you think will give a preview of your book. 

Your synopsis should be in 3rd person because it gives a good feel for me than first person. 

Also keep this between 70 to 150 words. Long synopsis are not a good thing, believe me. 

CONTENT :-  before writing and posting always remember you are your own boss, you don't own anyone so write what you want not what others want. 

Write for yourself and never stop writing because of mean cmnt or haters. They are just a stepping stone for you. If someone suggests something than think  if it is applicable than act upon it. 

Try to respond to your readers or stay in touch with them via discord channel. 

Also in last of every chapter remind your readers to review you and vote for you because sometime we readers lost in the book so much that we forget to do these things. Literally. 

UPLOAD :-  also upload as fast as possible. And please upload on Monday. Uploading on Monday is necessary for ranking. Because readers have something to read and you will have stones from the start.

This magazine is about cats, this magazines target audience is people that like cats such as older audience that really like cat or an audience that just want to see how funny this magazine is.  This magazine is been around since 1987 so about 42 years it's been around and published by Ilene Hochberg with the theme of cats. The cover tells us that the purpose of this magazine is about cat and we know this because of the name, the parts of information about cat and the big cat on the front. I will be analysing parts of the cover of the magazine such as the colour of both cat and the background, the text/title and the Ethos, Pathos, Logos in the cover.
The colour used in the magazine are the background, the text and the colour of the cat are all used to get the attention of the audience with the claim colours and visible to the eyes. The colour of the background is green the type of green being used is the colour lime in the background with it allows the other colours to pop more to give attention the to cover. The text was given to colour orange and white both are essay to read and very eye catching for the readers. The colour of the model cat is ginger with white patchers with this type of cat with the colour make the cover look calm and eye catching to the views. The colour were chosen well and work well together not to bight but not making it look tacky with other colours. With all of these colour any audience would spot this even if they are not looking for this magazine with the eye-catching colours allowing it to be essay to spot.  The colour all over the cover were all good with the colouring like the background, the text and the cat were used well in the cover of the magazine.  
The magazine cover has given text that is in two different colours and bit and pieces of what going on in the magazine, what's it's about and what is going on with cats these days. The title is also a changed into a cat themed, giving us the sign that's it's talking about cats catmopolitans.  The snipers allowed the read to invacuate what's going on in the magazine like one of the text saying, "the cat is out of the bag he's". given that mystery in the cover allowing the audience to go looking for what's going on in the magazine and to get pulled towards in reading it.  
The magazine cover show a lot allowing audience to be pulled towards it allowing them to look into it but that's happens because of the colours used and the model cat and the bits and pieces of text from inside the magazine. However, this magazine does also have the technique of pathos in that cause people having large emotion towards something. such as the big model ginger and white cat on the front of a magazine taking up most of the cover. However, the cat is allowing the audience to have large emotions towards the cat on the cover because the cat cuteness and the fluffiness.
The magazine has been analysed by different parts on the cover of the magazine like the colour, the bits and pieces of text, and the way it has used the technique on the cover pathos. analysing these all they all have shown why and what the type of audience that like cats would read this or take an interest. Miss Ilene Hochberg did a great job on the cover of the magazine with the colour and the text by putting bits and pieces of cat stuff that's from inside the magazine allows the audience to get curios about what's going on in the book. Also, by use the pathos technique on it to attract the cat type of audience to look at the magazine.

I Let Out A Tired Sigh. I quickly remove all of my clothes, down the remaining coffee in the mug and jump into the shower. I wash the frustration out of my hair and calm my body for a while. Once I'm sure all the warm water is done for, I dry myself and put on some fresh and crispy pair of pyjamas and comfortable baggy t-shirt and jump onto the couch. I open my silver laptop and as if all the weight is back again.

I've been trying to prepare the cover for my new chapbook, "Sea Full Of Stars" for the past three days now. I'm not a visual artist and hiring one costs too much and I'm too broke to spend bills on softwares. It's never easy being a writer. Writing itself can be such a lonely process, although it is my first home. But then I have to design a cover that is not only catchy, mysterious and unique but also conversely uninhibited. Great. I spend hours trying to find the right website that'll let me make one for free.

For a minute there, I sit back tired and almost defeated. What if books didn't have covers, I think to myself. I could've saved all this hassle and been sleeping on my lonely bed in peace. I'd be "Netflix and Chilling" on my phone. I'd probably have been writing something new.

But what about all the books I've read? I confess that I've also once trusted the image more than the not-so-convincing texts. The Great Gatsby by Fitzgerald with it's original art work is a stunning masterpiece. The eyes, the blue and the glam packed in it's dressing is an unbelievable turn on for any reader. But then again it wasn't designed by Fitzgerald himself. It was illustrated by Francis Cugat, a little known artist back then. It was the Gatsby that made me realise that it is an art to cover the book with a cape.

The same cannot be said for all the other books in my collection. Interpreter Of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri or Pablo Neruda's Love don't have the most convincing covers. I bought those books for the rave reviews I'd heard of them.

I do know that Rupi Kaur illustrated her own books. I get up and bring out all the poetry books that I own and try to fathom the making of their book art. The simplicity in Rupi's artwork is really appealing, but on the other hand Atticus's books look way too fancy. But the one thing they had in common is that their book covers were exactly what their book title said.

I too want my cover to reflect the idea and spirit of my book. But I don't know anyone who can design a book cover. Or who understands or reads my book or my art. I don't have my Francis Cugat.

I turn back to my computer, reducing it's brightness first because outside it's turning dark and I don't want to turn the light on just yet. I make a mental conversation with myself that if it doesn't work this time, I'll just use a template by Kindle Direct Publishing.

This time I go to YouTube and type 'how to make a paperback book cover for free' and hit Enter. The first video is of a middle-aged white man on the thumbnail, his hair slightly brown and a straight face. I click on it. The video starts demonstrating the process of making an easy to go book cover on this website called Canva.

I've used this app on my phone before but I never knew it could be used for making a paperback dress. I go to the site and follow all the instructions. I choose the image very mindfully, edit it, use the right fonts and change the colors. I do the same with the back cover and add a piece of poetry there. Then I keep following the instructions and after failing countless times, I make the perfect book cover for my latest collection.

I wipe the tears of joy slipping down my cheeks. I know I haven't made the best or make-you-pick-the-book-up kind of cover, but I'm happy.

I realise that I'm more happy because I could finally do something that fits the rules of the modern mass publishing world. I did something that will make people want to give me a look.

If it was upto me, I'd have the cover completely black or yellow and only bare my name and the name of the book. But that's not the case. I just smile with the fact that I made something that reflects the imagery or mood of my book. And I know that even with the exhausting role my cover will play, it won't ever gain the respect it deserves.

I go to bed hungry and drift off.
