Kyros, a 4-year-old gray wolf living in Katmai National Park faces the harsh truths of this ever-changing world, with scientists growing evermore curious with what limits they can push nature to. He runs into this issue as he is forced to come face-to-face with these over-curious madmen.

2. Elda: Canadian Timber Wolf (largest of wolves)-the muscle of the pack, third in command

3. Radolf: Red Wolf (most endangered of wolves)- the lupine with the keen mind

4. Duke: Wolf-dog= unofficial leader of the group 

5. Meika: White Artic Wolf- the motherly but sometimes strern female of the pack

6. Colt: Eastern Wolf- the smooth talker and avid singer of the group 

7. Borris: Arabian Wolf (smallest of subspecies)- skittish and nervous but friendly once relaxed

Six wolves of various breeds were on their way to Europe from North America for a showcase for wolf preservation but something happened and the six canine compatriots find themselves somewhere in the African savanna. Will they be able to make their way back or is it more likely their stuck for good? Only with working with each other will they be able to make it through. 

This would take place in the middle of Lion King 2 and of course all rights and content pertaining to this belong to respected owners.

Three all-terrain vehicles smashed through branches and shrubs and rushed into the forest.
The wolves were still more than 20 meters away, and they didn't immediately rush in front of everyone to attack.
They have been activated at full speed, rushing over like lightning, every wolf with endless murderous aura, going forward, vowing to avenge the dead brothers and sisters!

Xie Yan who sees this immediately jumps and grasps a thick branch! Using his running momentum, he propelled himself behind the wolf! The wolf who had jumped and catch only the air had now tried to turn itself towards Xie Yan.
But Xie Yan didn't give the wolf a chance and immediately lunge himself towards the back of the wolf! Xie Yan immediately grasps the neck of the wolf and tried to strangle it with his hands filled with qi!
The wolf immediately tried to struggle as much as possible by bumping his back that is gripped by Xie Yan towards trees and rocks!

Since the 20th century, the Mexican wolves' population had dwindled because the lack of prey had caused them to attack domestic livestock, resulting in the government exterminating them. After being hunted by Mexican and Arizona hunters, Mexican wolves were rarely seen anymore. They had become endangered animals, even more rare than the Czech wolfdog.
"Compared to dogs, the tail of the Mexican wolf is short and never curls up. It always hangs in in between its hind legs. The wolf's fur is mostly dark-yellow and gray mixed with some black. It starts howling at youth…" Luo Qun was still going on about some characteristics, all of which matched those of Ah Ow.
As she spoke, her hand unconsciously stroked her pistol and her gaze became more fearsome.
Ah Ow was not clear on the situation, but she was almost as sensitive and smart as Li Du. Luo Qun's gaze scared her so she burrowed into her bed, crying softly.
On the other hand, Ah Meow was fully-aware of the situation; out of the pets, he had spent the most time with Luo Qun, and understood her temperament the best.
Seeing that Luo Qun was fiercely looking at Ah Ow, ready to draw her pistol, he took action immediately. With a swoosh of his tail, he leaped up and landed in front of Ah Ow's bed, crying, "Meow!"
This act of his made Li Du laugh loudly. Ah Meow was a good big brother: he already knew how to play the role of a guardian.
Luo Qun pointed her pistol at him. "Ah Meow, move away. You have no idea what's behind you. Wait till it grows up—it will eat you."
Ah Meow stared at the pistol in Luo Qun's hand, and did not move an inch—his glare was even more ferocious than the cop's.
"What are you guys doing?" Li Du laughed. "Luo Qun, please don't whip out your pistol whenever you feel like it. Can you act like a lady for once?"
Luo Qun said, "This is a Mexican wolf. Even though it's only a pup, it's still very dangerous. You've never seen one attack humans before—it's horrifying!"
Li Du shook his head. "Maybe but that was a wild wolf. Ah Ow may be a wolf but she's been trained by me and will not be that vicious." As he spoke, he picked up Ah Ow, who popped her head out to look at Luo Qun. She then opened her mouth to howl, "Ow ow!"
Luo Qun glared at her, giving her such a fright that she retreated into Li Du's embrace.
The best way to verify Ah Ow's identity was to question the person who'd given him Ah Ow: Goatee Garter.
Li Du dialed the number, and Garter answered, "Hi Boss Li, to what do I owe this call? Let me guess: you have some good stuff for me?"
"Yes, but before working with you, I gotta ask you something. What was the breed of the pup you gave me? I asked a dog trainer, and he said it's not a Czech wolfdog but a wolf—"
"What? What? Alright," Garter shouted into the phone, "hold on, I'll dash over." Then, a moment later, he told Li Du in a rushed tone, "Boss Li, sorry—my mom's actually in the hospital. I have to dash there. I'll talk to you later."
He hung up. Li Du was furious. He tried calling him again, but the phone had already been switched off.
This meant that Ah Ow's identity could be determined. She was a wolf, not some wolfdog!
Li Du thought about it and then called Sophie to tell her the news.
Sophie said, "Oh, I knew."
Li Du asked in disbelief, "You're not surprised?"
Sophie said, "Li, I've taken care of her since before her eyes even opened up until now when she can gnaw on bones. You don't think I realized her true identity?"
It then dawned on Li Du that it was no wonder Sophie had been so angry when her parents and he were debating whether Ah Ow could have been a wolf.
Sophie then said, "Li, if you don't like her, then can you give her to me? Although she's a wolf, that baby is smart and tame—not some ferocious wolf."
Li Du smiled. "How could I not like her? I brought her home. She's my responsibility. Besides," he added, "this is our first kid, darling. This is the first kid we have together."
Sophie giggled softly, then bashfully said goodnight before hanging up.
Ah Ow had perked her ears up to listen to Li Du's phone call with Sophie. She had heard Sophie's voice and started to look about for her, running about the room.
Luo Qun asked, "How old is she?"
"A little more than a month, but less than two."
Luo Qun said in astonishment, "Wolves are indeed different. A one-month-old little thing like this can run so much better than a three-month-old dog—look at that strength!"
Despite making a round, Ah Ow could not find Sophie. She did not understand what was going on, and so sat in the doorway, feeling both depressed and confused.
Then, her pitch-black nose twitched and she started to walk around the house more slowly. After walking a few steps, she went back to the doorway, spread her hind legs, crouched, then, balancing her pelvic region, peed!
"Don't pee!" Li Du shouted.
It was too late—Ah Ow had already peed. But it was just a little bit, a small puddle.
Li Du glanced at Luo Qun apprehensively—she did not look too pleased. He hurriedly went to get the mop to clean the floor.
As he walked out of the bathroom, he saw that Ah Ow had gone to the kitchen entrance and deposited another puddle of urine!
Luo Qun called out to him, "What's going on? Such frequent urination? Did you not teach her to pee at certain times of the day?"
Li Du knew what was going on. This is not frequent urination, this is Ah Ow marking her territory with urine!
Even though she knew how to spread out the mess bu urinating in a few different places, he did not think Ah Ow actually knew how to hold her urine.
In the past, where this matter was concerned, Mr. Li had no control over Ah Ow—he had only asked that Ah Ow not pee on him. So as for the floor, he would just clean up if it happened. 
Seeing that he was so nonchalant about it, Luo Qun became angry. "Tomorrow when I wake up," she cried, "if the floor is not clean, then cook me wolf stew!"
Ah Ow was now happily peeing everywhere. If she ran out of urine, she would drink some water and then start peeing again later on.
Ah Meow and Crispy Noodles started to panic. They had done something similar before, and the house had also reeked of the smell of their urine; all these animals marked their territory the same way.
When the two of them had first met, they'd had disagreements—their decision to urinate in the house was the result of them settling their disputes. They had demarcated their respective territories this way.
Now, Ah Ow had come and peed all over, upsetting the balance that had been previously struck.
In addition, the scent of wolf's urine was very strong. It not only affected the splitting of territories between the ocelot and the raccoon, but it also affected their lives. Wolves were their arch enemies!
As long as the scent of the wolf's urine lingered, they would not be able to sleep or eat well. This had been determined by nature, and was written into their DNA through thousands of years of evolution.
Big brother Ah Meow was displeased.

Firearms, jewelleries, and precious metals; A collector’s world will not be complete without antiques.  
Storage auctions, old goods trade, re-estate sales and gold-digging. But the truth is, if one wants to make money, then the supreme way is through searching for the legendary treasures. 
Holding the fort, there’s an ocelot, a wolf, and an Andes condor. At the side, there’s a loyal hound, an irascible ape, and an African honey badger. Who said that you can only rely on humans when treasure hunting?! 

"Hello Alice, how was baseball?"
"Fenris, we have a problem and we need your help."
"What happened?"
"Do you remember what I told you about James the hunter?"
"The guy responsible for you becoming a vampire? Of course I remember."
"He came here with his mate and a friend. They interrupted our game and they noticed Bella. According to Edward, James now wants to hunt Bella.
We've come up with a plan. A few of us are going to lead James away, but Edward wants you and me to take Bella to Pheonix, Arizona."
"I'll be right there."
I quickly arrive at the Cullen residence where everyone is preparing to leave, Esme and Rosalie are wearing Bella's clothes so they can leave a trail for James to follow.
Bella, Alice and I step into Carlisle's Mercedes and go our way towards pheonix with me masking Bella's scent.
The drive takes about a day because we had to stop a few times for me and Bella to eat and for toilet breaks.
We eventually make it to a hotel in Pheonix where we check in. 
In our room Alice suddenly has a vision of a ballet studio.
In the evening after Bella and I had dinner, she slips away from us after she recieves a phone call from James.
Alice notices because of a change in her vision, and warns me about it. Of course I had noticed already.
So I quickly leave towards the studio. 
I arrive at the ballet studio and see James with a camera in his hand. 
"Too bad Edward didn't have the strength to turn you. 
You could have been an apex predator. Instead he kept you this fragile little human. It's cruel, really."
'Did he just say 'apex predator'? Hah, if he thinks that's what he is, he's got another thing coming.'
James snaps Bella's leg and says
"Tell Edward how much it hurts.
Tell him to avenge you. Tell him!"
"No, Edward, don't!"
"Tell him! TELL HIM!!"
This is when Edward makes an entrance and pushes James away from Bella.
In the ensuing fight there is a lot of unnecessary jumping and throwing. And watching this, all I can think is 'this is such an ineffective and inefficient way of fighting.'
After throwing Edward away, James makes his way to Bella as he is about to bite her I make my entrance and grab him by the neck and hold him up in the air.
"Who the hell are you?"
Not missing an opportunity to turn his own words back at him, I answer..
"Always such inane questions, 
'Who are you?'
'What do you want?'
'Why are you doing this?'
You and I have one thing in common James.
We both like to play with our food. Except in this case you are the food."
Realizing what I just said I quickly correct myself.
"Well I don't really wanna eat you actually, but you know what I mean."
'Shit, I just totally ruined the psycho vibe I had going on.'
I protract my claws and elongate them with my aura, pretty much turning my hand into a sword. Next I cut off his arms and legs, which earns me a few loud, painful screams.
"Aaah! Shit! Just kill me, asshole! Get on with it."
After neutralizing him I drop him to the ground. 
"Apex predator huh? What are you now, James? This legless, armless thing, rolling down the street like a turd, in the wind.
Apex predator my ass. 
I, am an apex predator. 
I am the Alpha of alphas. 
I am the apex of apex predators! 
I am Death, Destroyer of Worlds! 
I am the Demon Wolf!"
'hehehe thank you Deucalion from Teen Wolf for the beautiful psycho rant. Always wanted to do something like that. Hmm maybe for next time I should come up with my own. Food for thought.' 
Deciding I had my fun, I decapitate James with one last slash of my claws.
Right then Alice appears by my side. 
"You didn't tell me you had so many titles, demon wolf, Alpha of alphas and the one I liked the most Death, Destroyer of Worlds, hahaha." 
"I was just having some fun with it.
I coulda killed him without him ever knowing I was there but where's the fun in that?" 
"I understand, as long as you don't underestimate your opponents and get yourself killed, you have all the fun you want." 
After we burned James' corpse, we brought Bella to the hospital. Edward stayed with her while the rest of us all went back home.
A few weeks later, after the prom, junior year was over.
It's now the middle of summer and as Alice and I lay on the couch, watching the news, suddenly something piques my interest. 
"In Washington, the state has decided to temporarily lift the ban on hunting wolves. This after a pack of wolves recently entered the town of Port Angeles and maimed a 5 year old boy.
The wolf pack had it's territory in the Olympic National Park, where there have been many reports over the last few weeks of strange animal behavior. This reached a tipping point last friday when the 5 year old boy was attacked. The state officials have not yet confirmed how long the ban lift will last."
"Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm fine. The gray wolf may not be on the endangered species list but I don't think that makes this okay. If hunting these animals is allowed it will increase the chance of people running into the Quileute wolves or you guys when you're hunting."
"You're right but there's nothing we can do about that, we'll just have to be more careful" 
A few weeks later I left Alice at the Cullen residence so she can have a 'girls night' with Rosalie, Edythe and Bella. On my way home I hear gunshots followed by the whimpering cries of wolves. So I climb into a tree and follow the sound to investigate. 
When I arrive at the scene, what I see is absolutely revolting. A group of four hunters has shot three wolves with precision in such a way that the shots wouldn't kill them. Then they proceeded to take a baseball bat each and bash in the skulls of these wolves. The sick part is that they're doing this all with smiles on their faces. 
Now, I probably shouldn't judge them considering the way I slaughtered James but these wolves are different. Animals usually only attack humans if they have a good reason to do so. More often than not in the case of a fatal animal attack, the fault lies entirely with the human. I would never derive pleasure from killing an innocent creature. 
By the time I arrived and made sense of the situation they had already killed the second wolf, now they were moving towards the last one. 
This is when I decide to intervene. 
Not bothering to 'play' this time, I make these hunters' deaths quick, but not quite painless. 
After taking care of these monsters, I move towards the wolf. To my surprise though, I hear multiple heartbeats, she's pregnant. 
As I come closer she bares her fangs. 
I release my aura and fill it with positive intent, now realizing that I'm no threat, the wolf loses consciousness. 
I take her home and treat her wounds to the best of my abilities. 
After explaining everything to Alice once she comes home, she asks.. 
"So, what are you going to do with her? If those 2 wolves were her only pack members, she has no one to take care of her when she gives birth."
"I know, we'll have to discuss this when she wakes up." 
Alice then looks at me like I've gone senile. So I quickly explain. 
"Right, I guess I never told you but I can talk to animals."
"You're like a Russian nesting doll, you know that?
Everytime I think I know everything about you, you make another big revelation."
"Is that a bad thing?"
"Absolutely not, it's something I love about you. It makes life with you interesting. Maybe a little weird at times, but definitely interesting."

MC dies and reincarnates in Twilight with a mission from ROB. Destroy the volturi. If he completes his mission, he can travel to the worlds he actually wants to travel to, like Fairy Tail and maybe One Piece later.

Hi Everyone! Author here! Regarding the poll, It was the tie between New vs Original, with 4 saying yes for the new appearance, and 4 saying no and to keep the old one. I included the comment in the chapter comments by king_Gurra10. I wasn't sure about anyone else's comments, so I'm sorry if your vote didn't get counted. Having said that, we had a tie. So I had a friend choose between the two, and she chose the Neko. I didn't count my vote because I felt it was unfair. Again, sorry if your comment wasn't counted or if your choice wasn't picked. Nero will now have a Neko appearance, kinda cool don't you think? Neko Nero. I also realized that I'm a dumb, if Nero has Immortality, then obviously she would have infinite Health Points. Having infinite health also takes away the importance of Defense and Endurance. So I'll take them out. Anyway, onto the chappy.

As her food appears, Nero takes a sip of her coke and asks Great Sage where she is. 

"You are currently between Brumund and Ingrasia."

"I see. Great Sage, would you mind if I renamed you?"

"I would not mind."

"Ok, I will name you Alfred, after Batman's family butler."

"Thank you, Young Miss"

After being renamed, Great Sage's voice became that of Alfred's, and adopted his personality.

Getting an idea, Nero flies up into the air.

"Alfred, make an account on all social media platforms."

Alfred does so, and Nero starts recording live.

The wind causes her hair to brush against her face as a rare smile crosses her lips.

"Hello everyone, I am Nero, a world traveler. I am on an adventure, in which I will go through many different worlds. Since my previous life was pretty bland, I'll try to make yours different."

"Before any of you try it, don't kill yourself. You will not be isekai'd, you will be sent to hell. This is an anime world. Since it is my first world, if you can find out which world it is, I'll give your world some things to choose from. Don't worry, I'll give you all many chances to get these items, I may even personally come to you world."

"The rewards are as follows:
1. End world hunger.
2. Unpollute the world by 50%.
3. Add protection wards around all areas with endangered species, this will protect against poaching and will help endangered species reproduce.

For now this is what I can provide, and to world leaders and any who may try to stop me from providing these things, I have God on my side, who's on yours?"

Finishing up what she has to say, Nero ends the stream and makes a few skills that will provide the things listed in the stream.

Nodding, Nero says, "Alfred, play 'The Hanging Tree." 

As the song starts playing, Nero hums along to the song. Feeling a bit more lazy than usual, Nero makes a skill, [Customize].

Nero then uses her new skill to customize Alfred's [Battle Mode].

As she does so, Alfred's voice rings out, "[Battle Mode] has been changed to [Autopilot Mode]"

[Autopilot Mode (Active Skill)
Allows the user to sit back within their mind as their body acts upon a goal set by the user.]

Nero nods and activates [Autopilot Mode]. Now that [Autopilot Mode] is activated, Nero(Autopilot) heads towards Ingrasia.

While Nero(Autopilot) is heading towards her destination, Nero finds herself within her mind, there she sees Alfred, who looks like the familiar old butler we all know. Nodding to him, a chair manifests itself in front of Nero, who sits down and watches the aftermath of her stream.

*Time Skip No Jutsu*

Nero decides to give her followers a clue, and starts a stream showing her flight towards Star Wolf Island.

The viewers were mesmerized by the beautiful lands that Nero was flying above.

*Another Time Skip No Jutsu*

As Nero reaches a certain distance from Star Wolf Island, time seems to stop, and a huge spectral Star Wolf appears in front of Nero.

"I am Hiroyuki, the Star Wolf Progenitor. Who are you and why have you come? I sense no malice from you so what is your reason to visit my island?" Hiroyuki spoke in a loud and domineering voice.

"I am Nero, and I am here searching for a companion who would come along with me on my adventure."

"I see. I do not think you would harm my subjects, but if you desire a companion, you will have to prove yourself worth of them. Now I must go, this world can't handle my power much longer."

After he finishes his sentence, Hiroyuki disappears and the world regains color.

Preparing herself for what's to come, Nero speaks to the viewers.

"I have decided that I will end the stream here, I have to go get a companion, goodbye everyone." 
Nero waves as she cuts the stream off.

Xelgium was lead to a prison cell beneath a cellar of the village's great hall. He was tossed away with cuffs on his wrists in a small, cold cell. The gates were locked, and the chief walked into the cellar just outside of the locked cell bars.
"You will be exiled tomorrow without you even knowing it." The chief declared. "Our magicians will put you under a deep sleep tonight, and we'll simply toss you away into the wild like the pile of scum you are."
Xelgium grabbed the bars and struggled with it, causing it to shake loudly. His eyes were not full of panic, but rather of rage.
"You can't do this to me!" Xelgium seethed. "What would my grandmother say when she knew I was exiled?"
"Ca'amir wouldn't remember anyway." The chief replied. "She wouldn't take the news too badly."
"No one else would take care of her! Would you leave her alone to die then? She needs me!"
"You KNOW she needs you yet you still decided to do something stupid that can cause your exile, Winterbourne. Fool of a boy; don't place the weight of a life on us when you yourself endangered tens or even hundreds of it tonight!"
Xelgium slammed the bars in disbelief. He didn't show it, but he was immensely worried over how his grandmother would now fare now that he was going to be exiled from the village. He sat down on the cold floor and sighed audibly.
"Fine, we're not savages in this village here unlike you, Winterbourne." The chief said. "Ca'amir will be taken care of by the village guard. I'll have your friend Raijon take your place in watching over her."
Xelgium didn't reply. The mention of his 'friend' made his eye twitch with anger. How can Raijon betray him?
"My SISTER wouldn't be able to walk for a month."
Right… Xelgium thought. Mellie was Raijon's sister.
He felt the weight of dread on what he has done at the thought of Mellie. Xelgium didn't talk to her much, neither did Mellie herself, but somehow it pained him to see the look on Raijon's face at the mention of his sister.
"Well, enjoy your last night, Winterbourne." The chief said grimly. "Not only will you be known as a 'Reject' among your peers, rather now you'll be known as the youngest exile in Melunia.
With a grunt, the chief and the two guardsmen accompanying him stormed out of the cellar and slammed the door, encasing the whole area in darkness. There was no light underground; Xelgium couldn't even see his own hands in front of him.
"Curse my fate." Xelgium grumbled. "Curse everyone is this god damned village!"
He kicked away a stone from the his cell and flopped down to the floor. He rested his head on a lump and closed his eyes.

Xelgium found himself in a circular arena with only a pair of tattered pants covering his modesty. Crowds of people filled the seats on the side, laughing and howling. They all started throwing small bits of food and nuts at him, realizing that the crowd was ridiculing him.
"Stop it!" He screamed. "Stop this at once!"
He suddenly felt a huge punch in his ribs, sending him flying in the air. He landed with a thud on the ground, coughing up blood. He blinked his eyes as his vision detoriated.
"It's such a shame, Winterbourne." A familiar voice echoed in the arena.
"J-Jean…" Xelgium murmured.
A shadowy figure loomed over his head, picking him up by the neck and started clobbering his face.
"You never realized how incompetent you are." Jean mocked, delivering another maul to Xelgium's cheek. "It's not your strength nor is it not your wit that brings you down."
"It's your pride and arrogance."
With a final punch, Jean dropped Xelgium's body to the ground, leaving him in the arena all alone.
"W…why you…" Xelgium sputtered, reaching out his hand to Jean.
"Why, Xelgium?"
A girl's voice echoed in his mind.
"Why would you do it?"
"Because, Mellie," Another voice spoke. "He doesn't think of anyone else but himself."
"Not even you, big brother?"
"…No. Not even me, Mellie."
"But I thought you were friends!"
"I thought that too as well, until I saw the look in his eyes that night. Would you believe that he would have wanted to kill me, Mellie?"
"No, Raijon, I…" Xelgium protested weakly.
"Oh… what a horrible friend he is."
"Isn't your leg proof, sister?"
"Yeah, I guess it is."
"Let's go, I don't want to see any more of this scum."
"Raijon, wait!" Xelgium sputtered again, but the voices were gone.
"My dear Xelgium, where are you?"
Another voice then echoed.
"Gran…Grandmother?" Xelgium said in shocked. He started to struggle to get up; despite the beating he received from Jean.
"My dear boy… why have you left me?"
"No, Grandmother! I'm right here!"
"Oh… you made your dear grandmother so sad."
"Hold on, Grandmother, I'm coming!" 
Xelgium managed to stand up, noticing that the arena has turned dark and cold. His feet felt like he was standing on snow, and the wind around him dropped in temperature.
"Xelgium, where are you my boy? They're coming to take me away and you aren't here to say good bye?"
"Wait, Grandmother!" Xelgium screamed.
"Good bye, my dear boy."
"NO! DON'T GO!"

With a gasp, Xelgium's eyes shot open again. He was lying down under a spruce tree, his lower body buried in snow. Shivering, he stood up and propped himself up in the tree's trunk.
It was all just a dream. Xelgium thought. Those bastards who conjured the deep sleep must've snuck in some incantations for a nightmare.
He knew he was exiled already. He didn't recognize the forest he was in. It wasn't the northern forest near Melunia where he used to play at when he was a child. Surveying around the surroundings, he figured that they have brought him extremely far away from Melunia. He had no map nor compass to tell him where he was.
He noticed a satchel lying down near from where he was sleeping. He opened it up, and there was a small, tin canteen filled with clean water, a small knife, and a rope tied up into a noose. There was a note attached to the rope.

Well, Caroline was certainly supportive.
Xelgium undid the noose loop and coiled it up. He began exploring his surroundings. The ground was rough and craggy; full of roots and hidden boulders in the snow, causing Xelgium to trip a lot of instances. He managed to make his way through the craggy land after a few minutes of trekking.
Xelgium arrived at a clear slope of land. The surrounding area was brimming with frozen flowers and snow. It was sunset already, as some of the stars start to appear in the orange sky. He needed to pitch up a temporary camp before it gets too dark. He set managed to grab a few large branches he cut in the craggy area for a camp fire, setting up camp in the open field. Not the best place he can settle in, but he has no choice.
He aligned his branches in a circular position and rubbed two of them together rapidly, creating a spark of flame which then lit up the rest of the pile. He gathered near the fire and help up his hands.
"That's better." Xelgium sighed. He was used to camping a lot, so the situation he found himself in isn't that much of a struggle but this instance is a bit worse than usual; but in his head, it seems like just another challenge.
He opened up the canteen and chugged down half of the water in it. He made do not eating tonight as he wasn't given any food nor meat to cook. Maybe he should arrange a hunting order tomorrow. The thought of a grilled rabbit stormed his mind, causing his stomach to rumble.
"Ah, best to go to bed for tonight." Xelgium said sullenly. He used his satchel as a pillow and lay down on the cold, uneven ground.
His thoughts fell soon on his grandmother. He may be angry at Raijon, but he also hoped that he would take good care of her. Xelgium needs to get back, he must.
Sooner or later, he dozed off under the night sky, all his worries vanishing like the flame in his campfire.

Loud thuds can be heard in the snow which woke up Xelgium instantly. He lit up another branch and made a torch to see clearer. Barks and growls can soon be heard echoing in the night.
"More gray wolves?" Xelgium sighed. "Gee, that brings back fresh memories."
He stood up, picked up his satchel and drew the knife he was given. He looked around and saw no wolf yet in sight. He made a run back up to the craggy area, thinking it was better to hide up on the trees with the terrain slowing down the pack.
Xelgium ran as fast as he could, the barks growing stronger and nearer. They haven't caught his scent yet, but they were keen to identify humans in the perimeter. Xelgium climbed up a fairly high tree and tied his waist onto one of the thickest branches. He grabbed hold and looked around the ground, not wanting to end up like Mellie last night.
On cue, the wolf pack surrounded the forest and stopped 3 yards away from Xelgium's tree, sniffing the air. They can sense the scent of a human, and they all moved slowly around the area.
They went nearer and nearer his tree, each trudge in the snow felt like a creak on a wooden floorboard when someone is approaching you in your sleep. Xelgium's chest pounded with anxiety. He can't die, not until he makes it back to his grandmother.
Suddenly, a strong wind blew across. A snowstorm has started to brew, shaking out the trees in the area.
"This can't be good!" Xelgium whispered to himself. He grabbed hold of the trunk and held on with all of his might, but this snowstorm was too much and he lost his footing.
Not daring to scream, Xelgium fell down on a lower branch, but the noise was enough to draw the packs attention. They all circled the tree and started jumping up to Xelgium, trying to reach him and pull him down. Xelgium drew his knife in a desperate attempt to drive off any wolf that tries to jump.
The snowstorm however began to strengthen to the point it was deafening to the ears. The wind howled loudly, and the snow began to pelt Xelgium and the wolf pack.
Xelgium uttered out a scream, his hands getting numb at holding on. But even the wolves were starting to get affected too. They whimpered and some of them started to scatter away.
And like magic, the snowstorm died in an instant.
Xelgium looked below and saw a few of the wolves scattered away from the pack. Most of them remained, dazed and confused. They recovered their resolve and started howling at Xelgium once more.
Aroooooo-
A muffled yelp was suddenly heard from the pack. Other wolves rallied to their fallen, but more of them seem to yelp in pain.
All the remaining wolves scattered to see what was going on, only to have been thrown away into the air.
"W-what's going on?" Xelgium wondered.
A wolf was thrown into the air and thudded hard in the tree where Xelgium was, shaking the boy off and left dangling in the air due to the rope. Xelgium cut himself free and fell on the ground.
"Ugh… what in…" Xelgium mumbled, and gasped as he saw a wolf coming his way. Its fur wasn't gray, rather a silvery blue. Its eyes glowed ice blue, and its fangs and claws were made of glowing ice. It growled at Xelgium, releasing an icy breath.
"What in blazes is this creature?!" Xelgium panicked. He stood up and ran, but the new wolf pinned him down. It took a bite out of Xelgium's arm.
"Ugh! Get off of me!" Xelgium said, bringing his knife into the wolf's neck, but it shattered. His arm that was bitten shot up with cold, numbing pain. Frostbite made its way to Xelgium's entire body.
"W-w-why, is it so c-cold…" Xelgium shivered, as the wolf bit down on his leg.
Xelgium howled in agony, his body felt like he was being submerged in icy waters.
So this is it, this is how I die.
This was all he can think of; until a sudden blast of light filled the dark area, and soon replaced by darkness which shrouded Xelgium's consciousness.
Xelgium felt dead.
