Meet Thomas Alexander Linsky, one of the greatest and most influential writers of our time. Mr. Linsky has been on every reader's radar ever since his first book 'Redemption' was published when he was only ninteen years old. Besides the fact that Mr. Linsky is spectacular at what he does, no one knows much about his personal life. 

Until now. 

In my five day interview with Mr. Linsky I attempt to understand the working mechanism of this amazing artist, seeing him for who he truly is and appreciating him more for being such a pleasant human being. In this book I attempt to enumerate the concepts and ideas that were imparted to me by him. These ideas will not only make a profound impact on all writers but on every human being who aspires to be something more.

This is a short about people from earth being brought into an interview with aliens who want to check out our earth.

Life is all about unexpected things. We never know what will happen next. Among all unexpected things, we are struggling to find reasons to live, to love, to leave.

AeRi is a 25 years old famous cardiologist in China. She had her own private hospital. She is well known as a crazy researcher. AeRi does many experiments using bats to make a vampire. Because she believed humans could get a long life if they could turn into vampires. There is no one in this world who believes in her logic except professor Chan-Yeol. He is in charge of the secret laboratory AeRi owns. Chan-Yeol is a 40 years old mature person who always thinks out of the box.

AeRi got married to a wealthy businessman at a young age. Her husband Dae-Jung and their five years old little son Se-Hun are her whole world. They lived a glamourous life. 

Just a second is more than enough to make everything totally different. It was the day, AeRi could laugh for the LAST TIME!

AeRi came to her cabin after a 6 hours operation. She washed her hands and face. AeRi's mobile rang. The screen shows the caller's name as 'Hubby'. She picked up the phone with a smiley face. She was waiting for Dae-Jung to pick her up from the hospital.
 
"Mama… Mama..." AeRi's son Se-Hun was crying over the phone. AeRi got scared. 

"Se-Hun… Baby, what happened? Why are you crying? Where's Dad?" AeRi couldn't understand anything. With a big noise of a crash, the phone line got disconnected.

"Se-Hun..." AeRi shouted while running out of her cabin like a crazy woman. She couldn't run far. She fainted and fell down.

AeRi was in a hospital bed when she woke up. Professor Chan was with her.

"Se-Hun..." AeRi looked around.

"Se-Hun is in danger. Mr. Chan, please. I have to find him." AeRi tried to get down from the bed.

"We found them, AeRi. Just stay here a little bit." Mr. Chan tried to calm her down.

"Where are they? What are you hiding from me?" AeRi shouted.

"The car was destroyed because of an accident. We transferred Se-Hun to the ICU." Mr. Chan delivered the words hardly. 

"Accident? What about Dae-Jung? I want to talk to him. He's very careful when driving with Se-Hun." AeRi got down from the bed.

"I'm sorry, AeRi. Mr. Dae-jung was dead before he was brought to the hospital." AeRi couldn't believe those words. She kept looking at Mr. Chan for a while.

"Mr. Chan. This can't be true. I want to check him personally. No matter what it needs to cure them. You should do that. Come with me. You are a doctor. How do you say he's dead? You might be mistaken." AeRi tried to walk, but she was shocked and weak. Mr. Chen held her hand.

"It's better not to see her body, AeRi. You won't be able to control yourself. Don't be silly. As a doctor, you know it's useless to try on a dead person. You have to take care of Se-Hun now." Mr. Chen explained.

"Are you telling me not to be silly? You are the silly one here. My husband can't die. I want to check him. I should check him." AeRi ran out of her room to find her husband, Dae-Jung.

Dae-Jung's body has been dangerously damaged. AeRi could not control herself from crying and shouting. 

"He protected son, without even thinking about himself." Someone said. 

AeRi went to the ICU to check on her son. As a doctor, she had to accept that Se-Hun will not be able to live without ventilator machines. Little Se-Hun was fighting to live one more second. Mr. Chen came to the ICU and tried to explain the situation to AeRi. 

"AeRi, Se-Hun is in a critical situation. We can't guarantee his life until he wakes up. We both know what is happening here. We can't keep hopes on Se-Hun anymore." 

"No, I won't let him die. No matter how far it will take him to live without ventilators. I won't leave him. No..." 

AeRi cried. Mr. Chen thought for a while and suggested to AeRi something she never imagined.

"We still have one last chance to bring Se-Hun back to normal." 

"Wh...What's that? I will do that. I can spend whatever the amount it takes. Please, can we transfer him to another hospital?"

"This is the best hospital in the country. It's not something we can do with usual medicines. I think we should try our researched formula on Se-Hun. Maybe, the vampire formula could give him another chance to live." AeRi was shocked to hear that.

"But… We are still at the research level. It's not complete. What if it caused any trouble to him?"

"He's not going to live even an hour, you know that more than anyone. I'm not forcing you but, that's the only option left. We can't guarantee the result but... " 

"Let's do that. Mr. Chen, please bring the formula." AeRi made the hardest decision in her life to give her son another life.

"But, AeRi, if he could live because of the vampire formula, we never know what kind of creature he would become. There's a chance for him to have vampire habits too." Mr. Chen was uncertain about the decision, although it was the only way.

Parents will do anything to give their kids a better life. Days later, Se-Hun was recovered. Mr. Chen advised AeRi not to tell Se-Hun about the vampire formula they used to cure him. Se-Hun had a shock of seeing his Dad's death in front of his eyes. He could never travel in a vehicle alone because of his mental condition. Mr. Chen researched about Se-Hun but found nothing related to vampire habits and chemicals. AeRi and Se-Hun lived a normal life for a few months. 

"Mama… I saw a vampire in my dream yesterday. Mama, he told me that I'm a vampire." Little Se-Hun explained the dream to AeRi that he saw last night. AeRi was expecting such a situation from Se-Hun. AeRi hugged her son tightly.

"You are not a vampire, Se-Hun. It's just a dream. Don't think about that." AeRi told them to Se-Hun to comfort herself too. AeRi took a phone call to Mr. Chen, to ask him to check Se-Hun's blood reports again.

"AeRi, I was about to call you. There's a different formula in Se-Hun's recent blood samples. I think the vampire formula is affecting him now." Mr. Chen said in a hurry. 

For the first time, AeRi was afraid of her decision to use the vampire formula to cure Se-Hun.

Meihui lives with her Mom and Dad. Chia-Hao is her one and only brother that she always loves to be with. Meihui is 20 years old, and her brother is eight years older than her. Meihui always uses Chia-Hao's girlfriend's details to blackmail him. That's the only way she could earn some money. Meihui's family is lovely and caring. 

After high school, Meihui wanted to find a part-time job to earn extra money for her studies. She has different ambitions. When she was little, she wanted to become an air hostess. Unfortunately, she didn't grow taller than 5 ft. Then she wanted to be a doctor. But she couldn't get high marks for chemistry. Then she wanted to become a nurse. She's studying for that now. Meihui found a part-time job opportunity at a hotel. It's her interview day today.

"Mom… I'm getting late. I'll have breakfast after I come home." She shouted as always.

"How can you answer the interview without eating? Have some fruits. Here..." Mom fed some fruits while Meihui was wearing her shoes. 

"Chia-Hao… Come soon. Meihui is getting late." Mom shouted to Chia-Hao. He came out of his room. He was still brushing his teeth wearing a towel.

"What? Are you still brushing teeth?" Meihui shouted again.

"Er… Can you stop shouting like this? The whole of China knows that I'm brushing my teeth now." Chia-Hao said angrily.

"Keep brushing your teeth. I'm going. I won't help you with your girlfriends again. Bye." Meihui was angry with her brother. She left home angrily.

"Girlfriends?" Mom was curious.

"Ah… You know her. She's telling lies. I don't even look at other girls. I'm a shy one, don't I?" Chia-Hao buttered up Mom. Meihui came again in a flash. She turned down Chia-Hao's towel and ran away.

"Don't come home again. You are dead." Chia-Hao shouted while wearing his towel again. Mom was laughing at her kids. 

Meihui took the public transport to get into the interview place quickly. She has to be at the interview by 10.00 am. It was almost 09.55 am when she arrived at the hotel. She ran to the reception and asked about the interview.
"I came for the hotel stewardesses interview."

"It's on the 8th floor."

"Thank you!" Meihui ran to the lift.

"She asked about the private driver's interview, right?" The receptionist girl said to herself.

When Meihui entered the interview area, there were only male candidates in the queue. 

"Is it only for males?" Meihui was worried. She checked the vacancy on his mobile again.

"Hotel stewards and stewardesses required. Why are there no girls to see?" She wondered. After a few minutes, she went to the interview room.

AeRi and Se-Hun were sitting at the interview board. They were shocked to see a girl at the interview. Meihui showed a nice smile to them.

"How old are you?" Se-Hun asked the first question to make sure she's not a teenager.

"I'm twenty years old. My name is Meihui. I'm a 1st year nursing student at Medicare nursing university. This is my very first job interview, so I don't have any professional experience in the field. But I can learn anything quickly, and I hope to..." Meihui opened up her usual chatterbox. 

"Wait. wait. I just asked your age." Se-Hun stopped her and signed AeRi that she isn't a good fit.

"Actually, we expected a male candidate for the position. But hiring someone with knowledge of medicines isn't a bad idea. Do you know the job role?" AeRi was quite satisfied with Meihui than other candidates. 

"She doesn't have any experience Mom. How does she know about the job role?" Se-Hun said to AeRi. Meihui realized that Se-Hun is such a hard person to deal with.

"The best thing is, you don't need any kind of experience for this job. Do you have a driving license?" AeRi asked kindly. 

"Why do I need to have a driving license to be a stewardess?" Meihui thought.

"This is not gonna work Mom. She's not tall enough to drive a vehicle." Se-Hun laughed after saying so.

"I have a driving license and I can drive any kind of vehicle," Meihui said, looking at Se-Hun angrily.

"Can you drive a bus?" Se-Hun asked. Meihui was full of anger. AeRi laughed.

"Why are you giving her a hard interview? She's still a little girl. It's more than enough to know how to drive a car." AeRi said to Se-Hun and looked at Meihui.

"Actually, I wanted a more responsible man for this role. But just after seeing you, my idea was changed. I think you would be the best fit for this job." Meihui was pleased. She looked at Se-Hun. He rolled her eyes. Meihui looked around the room to calm herself before getting angry. 

She saw a board on the wall. It says 'The interview for personal driver position'. Meihui was speechless when she saw the board.

"I'm at the wrong interview." She realized.

"All you have to do is accompany my son, Se-Hun when he's driving. And you will have to be the driver when it is needed. You don't need to work all time. But you should be there when Se-Hun has to drive alone. Your main responsibility is not to let him stay alone in the car even for a second. Did you understand?"

"What kind of a job is it?" Meihui was amazed. She found it more interesting than being a waitress at a hotel.

"I… I understand. I will work hard Ma'am." Meihui said happily. Se-Hun smiled.

"Fine. Let me explain something. I personally don't like to hire someone so young as you. But I always respect my Mom's choice. You are not allowed to drive my car. I will drive it. You are not allowed to talk while I'm driving. I just want you to be with me in the car. You are not allowed to come after me wherever I go. Just stay in the car." Se-Hun explained.

"Yes, boss," Meihui answered. AeRi couldn't stop laughing at her answer.

"Just call me Se-Hun." He said. Meihui moved her head to say yes.

"When should I start work?" Meihui asked from AeRi.

"I want to go to the office now. Come with me." Se-Hun left the room. Meihui looked at AeRi with a question face.

"Se-Hun owns a wedding planning company. He usually goes to the office and comes back home. If there's any other arrangements, he will inform you. He's not rude as it seems. You will get used to it. You can call me anytime if there's anything. Good luck." AeRi said. Meihui felt relieved. She thanked AeRi and ran to catch Se-Hun.

Se-Hun got into the car and opened the front door for Meihui. Se-Hun felt a little headache but he ignored it. Meihui saw his difference. Se-Hun couldn't endure the pain in his head. He closed her eyes tightly. Meihui was scared.

"Are you ok?" She asked.

"It's a little headache. Just stay still for a few minutes." He said. His voice was deep and different. 

"Wait here. Let me bring a coffee. It reduces headaches." Meihui tried to get out of the car. Se-Hun grabbed her hand suddenly.

"Please, don't leave me," Se-Hun said with teary eyes. Meihui kept looking at him.

Se-Hun gets his new life, as a vampire. Because of seeing his dad's death in front of his eyes, he suffers from a mental condition. He can't be in a vehicle alone. His mom opens an interview to find someone to accompany Se-Hun while he's driving. A little girl named MeiHui gets selected for the position.

The vampire lord walked through the wooden door of the interview chamber and into a large circular room. The room was magically enlarged as it was impossible for such a room to be so large, as it was used as a side room of the great hall. 

Inside the room was a group of wizards wearing expensive dress robes and held pompous attitudes. These were the board of governors and Kai recognized one of them. He and Lucius Malfoy locked eyes for a brief moment as the wizard understood what he was to do. 

There were 12 wizards standing above the vampire lord and his familiar. Kai recognized that they all were from pureblood families. He mentally grimaced in annoyance and looked at them all coldly, easily displaying his immense aura of authority to the board members, successfully gaining the higher position in the minor battle of wills. This would allow him to dictate how the beginning of the interview would start.

The room was constructed in a way that would cause the person standing at the bottom to feel inferior and judge his mental capacity and will. At least that was the official reason, the true reason was that most of the board of directors were made up of purebloods. They were wizards that discriminated against all that weren't purebloods themselves and they would do so with pride. 

When Kai first realised this when he was still new to the world of magic, he was disgusted with the deep discrimination and prejudice that festered in the wizarding world. But later he came to understand that he wouldn't be able to stop the deep-seated prejudice that ran through the wizarding world. It was essentially built on the basis that wizards were superior to every other living creature, be they muggles, intelligent magical beings or magical creatures. 

He had settled on showing the elite blood purist community (the members of the wizengamot) that he was their better and therefore would have to respect him. If they didn't, well… they would have to learn why they were below him. Kai wouldn't do this to all wizards only the ones that believed that they were above others. 

As he stood before them, the board looked at Lucius who was still the chairman of the governors and urged him to start the interview. Most of the men were feeling threatened by Kai's otherworldly looks and the women wanted to get the interview out of the way so they could talk to him in "private."

Lucius coughed to get the governors attention and began the interview. "Please state your name and which position you wish to receive." 
"My name is Kai Darcone, I wish to receive the position of professor for the subject of care of magical creatures," the vampire lord answered without hesitation.

"Have you got any important feats or endeavours that you would like to mention?" Lucius asked. This was the actual deciding factor that the governors' wanted to hear from the participants. They could ask you however questions they wanted but this was question was the one that actually made any difference. 

Take for example Quirrell, Moody or Lockhart. All of them had a good reputation and lots of fame. Quirrell was known for his work with trolls, Lockhart was an accomplished author who had done may  "feats" and Moody was known as one of the best Aurors of his time. 

It didn't matter if they weren't good teachers as long as they were famous and had a great and well-known reputation. This was what Kai had foreseen and had gotten Tom to give him an identity that had many accomplishments and had ties with many "people in high places."

"In fact, I do I am a 10 star combatant of the Dark Lords' Court." Kai let that comment sink in. Unlike most people, almost everybody in the room was either a member of the Dark Lords' Court or had ties to the organization. It was natural that they had a connection otherwise they would fail in business and advancements, which was crucial in their high-class society. 

All the people in the room knew how high a 10-star combatant was. The only high ranking member that the public knew off was the Infernal Lord who was also the only known Lord in the Court. However, the ancient pure-blooded families with ties to the ministry and the Court knew that there were other Lords that had their identity's hidden. 

Below them were the 10-star members, there had never been any 10-star members in public and they were kept hidden to the levels of the utmost secrecy. This was the first time that the wizards in the room had ever met a 10 star member of the Court, with the exception of Lucius who had seen both Kai and Tom. 

Lucius was an 8-star member himself and was the highest member of the Court that many of the governors had personally met. This was one of the primary reasons that he was the chairman of the board of governors and not anybody else. There were other reasons such as his wealth and political position.

The vampire lord heard all of the murmuring voices become quiet the moment that he finished. If they looked at Kai from the Court's ranking then he was considered their supervisor's supervisor's boss. He could easily pull rank if he wanted to receive the job. 

But since Kai was still feeling exhilaration from beating Dumbledore that he felt that he could show off and receive the job with his own abilities, all of the feats that were in his new identity were done by him anyway. "I have also fought, studied, healed and killed many magical beasts during the first Court war. In between that period, I was the administrator for the whole magical creature department." 

This part wasn't quite true but the vampire lord had visited and tended to the hurt creatures so there was some truth to his words.

Their eyes widened in surprise and respect, it wasn't every day that a person could meet one of the original members of the Court. After that war, many flocked to join the organization and all of the members that joined before the war were promoted by a couple of stars depending on their contributions. 

The vampire enjoyed the looks of admiration but hid it behind his cold exterior and continued. "I have also fought and slain many during the dragon war so I believe that I have the right to teach the students here. I should hope that I get the job," his eyes narrowed. 

"After all the only reason that I am here is due to the fact that this school's current standards have fallen to such a disgraceful level that I was assigned to bequeath the children with relevant and helpful information that will help them in their life."

Lucius returned to the rest of the board members and they created a Muffliato charm that caused a loud buzzing noise in their surroundings. This was to cause Kai to be unable to hear them but with his enhanced hearing he could easily hear that they had a few discussions that checked his documents that verified his identity. 

After agreeing that he would get the position, the caster of the spell nullified the spell and apologized, stating that it was needed to vote. Afterwards, Lucius stepped forward and declared that Kai would receive the role. Kai thanked him and after being told to arrive on September the first with his teaching materials, he turned to leave. 

While walking to the door he called out "Oh by the way you should prepare the staff for the fact that I am a vampire." He then pulled the door and left.

Kai is a tourist on holiday when he is killed in a terrorist attack. He wakes up during the year 1981 in a forest and finds out that he is a vampire progenitor in the Harry Potter world. Kai then heads out to the nearest human settlement which happens to be Godric Hollow.

    It all started five years ago, when a giant hole opened in the sky and unknown monsters started coming out of it. The military of the world barely managed to kill the monsters that came through. Officials dubbed these holes as "Rifts." Soon after people all over the world started waking up with a game like screen in their vision and superhuman abilities, some people even became fantasy races. Elves, druids, fairies, and even demon races such as succubus and majin. These people were called "Awoken" and became heavily relied on when the Rifts started reappearing. The chaos of the new Awoken sent the governments, who were not able to control them, to make new laws just for ones who have become Awoken. Soon the most powerful of the Awoken formed groups, called guilds. To divide the power difference between weak and strong Awoken, the government and the strongest awoken decided to create a system to judge their strength, and tiers of Awoken formed. Starting at the weakest: Blank, Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Dragon. Only 13 Awoken have ever reached Dragon Rank. Every Awoken dreamed of one day being strong enough to be a Dragon Rank, except one.

"Hahaha just kidding. I have no 'insatiable' hunger for blood."

    "Oh hahaha. I totally knew you were just kidding."

"I don't know, let me check real quick."

"You mean later today."

I carefully got up. 

-What the hell is this status. There is no way this thing isn't broken. Whatever, I need to use the bathroom.-

As I grabbed the door knob for my door, I felt no resistance.

Snap.

-Uh oh.-

I broke the door clean of the hinges. 

-Mom and Dad are going to be pissed. How am I supposed to tell them?-

-Well that's for future me to figure out.-

---Emma's PoV---

"Emma, I'm going up." Bella shouts in my ear. I turn around and see a tall man behind her. Oh! come on.

I look back at her with a 'come-on-bitch' expression. 

She winks at me before leaving with the guy.

It isn't even an hour, and this girl is ready to spoil bedsheets.

I scoffed and continued dancing. 

"I warned myself that I shouldn't play with fire,

 but I can tell that I'll do it one more time!

don't trust in myself -hmm- not good for my health -hmm-

you mess with my hea-"

"Hey!!" I turn around to see who just spoke in my ear. 

A tall guy with green eyes, black hair which is looking pink because of the lights here and a razor sharp jawline. My gaze moves to his broad chest and his biceps which are pulling off his shirt. He is hot.

'Time for you to spoil bedsheets!' Shut up mind.

"Hey!" I utter while continuing swaying my hips.

"Umm, can I join you?!" He asks.

I nodded with a smile. At least I have a company now.



.



I must say, this guy is really nice. He, not even once, tried to touch me in any uncomfortable way.

But Bella, why isn't she back yet!?

It's been almost one hour of me dancing with him.

'That tall man clearly has got some stamina!' No way! One hour is too much, what if Bella is in trouble? 

I have to find her.

"I have to find my friend, you carry on." I said to the guy I was dancing with, before turning around. I hear muffled 'heys' behind me from the same guy but Bella is more important right now.

I somehow manage to get out of the crowded dance floor and I head straight to the upper floor.

I open every door only to listen to loud moans and screams. So much love everywhere. 

I've almost reached the end of the corridor where the music is no more audible, I can only listen to the faded beats but Bella, she's seen nowhere. 

'Where are you fucking, Bella?'

My gaze moves to the way extending at the right of the corridor, which is all dark ahead.

 I didn't know here was another long passage. She can't be there?

I gulped. 

There's nothing like ghost Emma, move in.

"Bella are you there?" I speak as I start to move in that direction.

No response. I continue to walk. The more I'm going in, the sound of my heels clacking against the floor is increasing. In other situations I'd love to hear this but right now it is making me uncomfortable. 

"Bella?" I said again, this time louder.

 Still no response. I stop.

'Okay, okay. She might not be here. Let's go back!'

Before any second thought crashes on my mind, I  immediately turn around to walk.

 I see a ray of light far from me. I didn't realise, I came a little too far searching for her. 

I can hear my own heartbeat between the clacking sound produced by my heels. 'This silence is disturbing.'

I start to walk a little faster and just as I'm almost at the end, out of nowhere someone holds me by my waist and drags me behind with an inhuman speed. 

I open my mouth to scream but a huge rough hand blocks me.

I'm roughly pushed to what feels like a wall. I closed my eyes, afraid of what I'll see. 

Oh my God!

My mouth, still restrained by the hand. I stayed still for a few seconds before encouraging myself to open my eyes.

'Since when you have become this milksop?' Fuck you.

I can't see the face of the person who is holding, leave the face I can't see anything right now.

I didn't utter a word. 

I feel my heart hammering hard against my chest. Just then the iron grip around my arm loses and the person leaves my mouth.

As soon as my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I see a shining pair of red eyes.

Shit, a pure-blooded vampire.

Should I run? Or should I say something?

'Stay quiet, red eyes are hard to deal with!'

I want to look away but it feels like the red eyes are sustaining me.

'Where have you pushed yourself into!?' It's all because of Bella, not me.

I feel something touching my cheek, his hand probably, and I immediately move away. I move out of his space and stop at an appropriate distance. 

Because of the light behind me, I can see a huge masculine figure in front of me. The creature in front of me is a well built pure blooded vampire. 

'Run, Emma!' But my feet is freezed at it's place. 

'Run from here!' I look at the red eyes one last time before turning around and sprinting towards the light.

I just run and run till I get out of the club. I take a few deep breaths while leaning down, getting support of my knees.

"Emma, where were you?" I hear Bella. I look up and see her running towards me. 

"What happen? Why are you sweating?" She asked. Concern is filled in her voice.

I close my eyes while hiding my face underneath my hand, remembering the pair of red eyes I just saw. This isn't usual spotting a pure blooded vamp anywhere, then what was that vampire doing in the club?! 

I'm trembling right now, my hands, my legs, everything. 

I'm thankful that he didn't hurt or kill me. This again, is not normal being loosen off a pure blooded vamp.

I feel my mind getting heavy and the vehicle horns and other noises around aren't helping.

"Emma?" Bella speaks again. 

"Let's go home. I'm tired." I speak, heading towards my car.



~ (Next Morning)



The Palace looks huge. The white marbled walls don't look less than lavish. And yes, I'm in front of King Xavier's Palace. 

Why?

Because my stupid best friend, without telling me, already applied for the job yesterday itself. 

'That's why she would not stop arguing!'

And I'm here with the CV in my hand and ready for the interview. 

'Not actually ready, if you know!'

"Go now, your interview is in five minutes." Bella said, pushing me into the car's door.

"And all the best!!" She shouted with so much excitement. 

And here I am, completely blinded by sleep. I couldn't sleep last night, those red eyes weren't letting me.

"Fuck off!" I spat as I stepped out of the car.

"Oh, I did it yesterday." Bella shouts from behind.

This woman. 

I really wish I could take off my heels and throw on her face. But I'm wearing flat shoes, so,

Well, they can work the same.

And for the basic knowledge, she was fucking under a bed yesterday.

Like who does this? How did they even manage? 

Most importantly, in what position they were doing it? 

Anyways, I walk through the massive gate, I see many people, with the same dress code, wandering in the palace. Some of them are trimming the bushes, trees and grass. Others are brooming the floor.

'They are the people you will be managing!' Yeah, like I will get selected at first place.

I observe them closely before going inside  the Palace. 

My jaw drops on the floor by seeing the interior of this opulent place. 

I see a massive glass chandelier hanging in the middle of the ceiling.

My gaze then moves to the two extensive staircases, which are leading to the upper floor from either side of this mighty ballroom. 

I study the ballroom, twenty houses like mine can fit in this. It's colossal and extremely mind blasting. 

I look down, and I can see my own reflection very clearly. 'I bet they do not have mirrors in their rooms.'

"What can I do for you?" I quickly look up at the direction of the voice. 

I see a woman walking towards me with her hands intertwined at her stomach. She looks in her late thirties. Her clothes are different from the rest. 

And she has icy blue eyes. Vampire. 

"Hello! I'm here for the interview for the Servant Manager post." I smile as she stops at an appropriate distance.

"Your name, Miss?"

"Emma Casey."

She nods and gestures to me to follow.

We walk through the glass stairs and I'm just trying to not fall, because this is so fuckin risky. Darn it, how is she walking so comfortably!?

With each step taken so cautiously, I dealt with the stairs. We walk through the corridor and she stops in front of a large door.

"All the best, Miss Casey." She speaks before leaving. 

I see her leaving then I turn my head to face the door. Okay, I'm supposed to go inside. 

'All the best!'

I knock at the door after taking a deep calm breath. 

"Come in." I hear a deep masculine voice. 

I open the door and step in.

"Close the door." I didn't even see who would be taking my interview and look at him, already throwing orders on me.

I close the door and turn around. I see a man sitting at a distance, busy on his laptop. 

'He looks familiar.'

I walk in his direction.

His black shirt is highlighting his fairly tanned skin. Damn his body is well built. 

His broad shoulders and the biceps will tear apart his poor shirt at any moment. 

Isn't he…

He looks at me. KING!

'He is King Xavier.' He is going to take my interview!?

He is even much sexier in reality. Bella showed me his picture once.

But I guess the lady has mistaken. I look back at the closed gate and then at him.

He is looking at me with  his red eyes reflecting a flat expression.

Red eyes. 

'Same red eyes!'  Last night's incident started to come to my mind. 

 No way! He can't be there. It was a club and he's a king.

"King," I speak looking at him. His red eyes, still fixed on me.

'Don't waste his time.' I clear my throat before walking towards his direction. I sit on the chair placed in front of him.

I stow my CV on the table. He takes it while his eyes are still fixed at me.

Why is he staring so much?

'Because he is that club vampire.' This can't be possible. 

"How did you lose your previous job, human?" He asks, still reading my CV. 

'His voice is so sexy, I'm already wet.' No, I'm NOT and think something, I can't tell him this. He is a vampire too. 

But I didn't do something wrong. 

But what if, if he gets angry? He is hot but he seems dangerous as well.

But I can't stay quiet.

"I had a fight with one of the customers." I speak, not going into the details.

Now, his intense gaze is back on me.

He slides the CV in my direction. 

"Fights are not something unusual in restaurants. Managers leave their staff with a warning. What was different in your case?" He speaks, looking directly into my eyes.

I straighten my back.

'Tell him the truth.'

"Two artificial vampires, which were our customers, attacked one of the staff members. They weren't backing off so I jumped into the fight." 

"I... I punched one of them several times. Therefore, I got fired." I finished speaking. 

I don't break the eye contact.

He doesn't look angry. 

'But you won't be selected for the job.' I know this already. 

"You'll be contacted if selected. Leave." He says. 

That's it!? I look at him confusion but he is again busy on his laptop.

I get up from my seat, I take my CV and head out of the room.

I take a deep breath. Such an arrogant creature he is.

Come in!

Leave!

Close the door! 

What the fuck!! Who does he think he is? He's just a king, not a God. 

But anyways, I don't need to tolerate all this. Let's go home and search for a good job.

"How did it go?" Bella asked me the moment I reached home and I told her everything. 

"I, too, want to see him. He is so motherfucking hot." She speaks in a voice filled with amusement and not to forget, lust. 

I roll my eyes.

"He is just a vampire whose nerves are filled with arrogance. Nothing else." I spat. 

She completely ignored the fact of him being a cocky ass!! 

"I'm going to sleep." I speak again and without wasting any time on her, I walk to my room.

I changed my clothes and wore a long T-shirt. I washed my face and applied moisturizer, it's mandatory or my skin will become a desert. 

I shift to my bed and close my eyes. It's time to take a long long nap.

Xavier Starkborns, the most dangerous and the most powerful creature all over the globe. He can do anything, he can have anything. He doesn't show mercy to anyone, he is rude and arrogant and unimaginably hot. 

But what happens when an ordinary human girl, who doesn't like to be controlled, crosses his path?

"You just tried to escape me!?" He says in his devil like voice while I'm here bearing with the immense pain in my back and the arms he's holding onto.

"Lea-ve me!" I speak while struggling and trying to get out of his grip.

"Money. Sex. Power." He leaned close to my face.

"This is what you want." He continues as he starts to place wet kisses on my jawline.

"Leave me!" I struggle even more to get out of his grip.

"No. No. No. Don't act like you don't want it." He immediately leaves one arm of mine and his hand travels straight to my face, to keep it from moving.

Well, did I mention that Xavier Starkborns is the Vampire King?

And is that human girl really ordinary?

The previous plan was quite good but in the end,  Hao Ren still could not find it in him to just chase Vivian away.

As mentioned before, he was a good guy. He never meddled in matters he could not help with. However, if he was able to help, he would not turn people away. If he had chased Vivian away, what would have happened to her? The vampire girl appeared to have lived a tough life. She would have either had to stay overnight on the streets or go to the wild or the graveyard like she said without any food, water, home and job. If she had gone to a train station, she would have alerted the police and be facing force adoption or worse, forced deportation. It was quite pitiful.

Looking at the pretty girl trapped in such a situation, any normal person would not have been able to see her suffer.

Even though Hao Ren felt that a vampire had capabilities and would likely not face such dilemmas, he could not be sure. As the vampire he met was not a conventional one. If one was to refer to all the novels and movies available, there would be no reference of a vampire being that naive. She was poor, different and so fond of human beings.

In spite of that, he did not ask Vivian to stay without paying. There had to be a limit to his generosity and he was not a saint. He also had to take into account Lily’s feelings as she paid her rental as usual. He could only allow Vivian to owe him the rental. He decided to wait until she found her purse, though very unlikely. Another option was for her to find a job and earn money, which was more likely. Only then, would he ask her to pay him back.

"Could this really work?" Vivian was not convinced that she had any good luck. She stared at Hao Ren unbelievably. "It might take me a really long time to pay you back. My financial luck has not been any good…"

Hao Ren raised his eyebrows and observed the vampire girl’s facial expression as he listened to her defeated speech. 

"How bad had her life been?"

"You don’t have to overthink it. Just stay here." Hao Ren waved his hand. He noticed Lily discontented expression and said, "The decision has been made! This is my home. I can at least make a call on the rental."

He then turned to Vivian, "An empty room is available upstairs. Let me show you the room. But, where is your luggage?"

He should have asked the question earlier. When Lily moved from the other city, she brought over huge boxes of belongings. He wondered if the vampire girl was so poor that she only had a set of clothing with her.

"Oh, it’s outside!" Vivian remembered her luggage and rushed outdoors. She then brought in her old rugged luggage case. Fortunately, her lack of luck with money did not affect her belongings. Although the huge case was left outdoors for so long, it was not lost.

When Hao Ren noticed Vivian’s luggage, he could not help but sigh. He vaguely remembered his late father who used to carry a case of similar style for work. It was then passed down by his grandfather…

He swore that he would never watch movies about vampires in his lifetime anymore.

Right when he decided to go upstairs to help Vivian tidy her room, he heard a strange sound nearby. Lily embarrassingly caressed her stomach, stood up and said, "Landlord, shall we have some food?"

Hao Ren turned to the clock in the living room and the hands pointed to 10 in the morning. There was so much hassle that morning, he almost forgot about breakfast. The only one  at home with a  full stomach was Rollie!

"Damn! Our lives are worse than a cat’s these days." He mocked himself and Vivian exclaimed in surprise, "Ah, do you offer breakfast? Do I need to pay extra?"

The vampire girl was delighted but Hao Ren really wanted to tell her that truthfully they did not cook for tenants. Though they were on special terms, he saw her look of contentment and  did not want to disappoint her. He thought the vampire had been through a pretty pitiful life.

Breakfast was already delayed so they  might as well had lunch. Hao Ren decided to make his best dish, noodles. Lily was an omnivorous werewolf who was not picky and Vivian was already so poor so he was quite sure that she would not care about the food that much. A simple meal would do. When he went into the kitchen, he turned around and asked the vampire girl a question, "Vivian, do you eat normal human dishes? I heard vampires can only drink blood and can’t digest normal food."

He felt a cold breeze around his neck right after he said that.

"I belong to the Blood Clan. I’m not some low-level vampire," Vivian corrected the statement but she embarrassingly covered her face. "Other Blood Clan members can only digest blood but I can eat normal food. It can’t be helped because nowadays, whether it’s human or animal, they are all infected with all sorts of strange diseases. If I drink unclean blood, I might suffer from stomachache for a few days. I have to check if the subject has a health certificate before I drink its blood. But sometimes, even the health certificate can be falsified. I can’t bear that risk so, I haven’t been drinking blood for quite some years."

Hao Ren was speechless.

When he was about to enter the kitchen, the cell phone on his sofa rang. Lily rushed over and peeped. She handed the old Nokia phone over to Hao Ren and said, " Landlord! The phone! The call’s coming from a strange set of numbers!"

Hao Ren walked over to pick up the call. He wondered what kind of phone number could be strange. He was stunned when he saw the set of numbers on his phone screen; 00000012345!

"Is there anyone in the world using such a number?"

The monotonous sound of the ringing phone kept urging him to answer. The screen displayed the creepy set of numbers clearly and Hao Ren could not help but pinch his face to make sure he was not imagining things. He was not sure if it was an illusion. The ringing seemed to grow louder as if it came from every direction. He felt heat emanating from the phone and the ringing becoming faster and faster… The sixth sense he had developed since he was young was activated. His intuition told him that the call would be extraordinary.

As though he was possessed, he pressed the button to pick up the call and placed the phone to his ear. "Hello?"

A sweet voice was heard through the phone, "Hello? Hello? Is this Hao Ren?"

"Er, yes, this is." Hao Ren tried to recall if he ever disclosed his mobile number or met a woman with such a voice. However, he could not. "Who are you?"

"You don’t have to worry about that," the stranger claimed. Judging from the background sounds, the call seemed to be made from a rather noisy place. Some odd whistling could vaguely be heard. It could have been some construction site. "I am at… Oh, an import and export company. A few days ago, you sent out your resume. You were looking for a job right? I would like to inform you that an interview will take place this afternoon."

"An import and export company?" 

Hao Ren was stunned. He then remembered his decision to look for a job and the time he sent out his resume. He was just trying his luck as he did not have any working experience and was not a professional graduate from any reputable school. He faced obstacles looking for jobs on-site and did have high hopes for the resume he sent out. He did not expect to be invited for an interview. It sounded like a good company; it was some sort of import and export company.

He thought that he just got lucky.

However, he looked at the two new tenants in his living room. He initially thought that he would not be able to rent out the apartment when he was first looking for a job. A that time, he lacked cash flow from the rental but since then, he had already obtained tenants…

The tenants were not reliable though. One was a dumb werewolf while the other was a poor, starved and naive vampire. He would be surprised if both of them could pay their rental on time so, he figured that he should not fully rely on his rental business.

The woman started to sound impatient over the phone. "Hey, are you still listening? I am telling you to come over in the afternoon for an interview!"

Hao Ren reconsidered and he nodded. "Sure, I’ll be there in the afternoon."

The stranger gave him an address which was not too far from his place. Then she hung up.

Hao Ren was taken aback again when he looked at the phone screen. It showed,  "Calling time: 0 minutes 0 seconds." When he opened the log, there was nothing. It was like the number, 00000012345 had never appeared.


As a person who is down-to-earth as well as a good Samaritan, Hao Ren desires to live the rest of his life as a benevolent landlord. Stumbling into a curious yet mysterious lady, he began his journey of “collecting” abnormal and supernatural tenants.

I said as I opened the door ,"Oh My Gash  ", I said out of surprise and a little to loud 

"Are you a real vampire?"

"Have you ever killed someone?"

"I thought vampire's and werewolf where foes "

"Are you dating one of them??" 

They screamed there questions into there microphone's ,I was utterly chocked 

"THAT'S ENOUGH, you wanted to see her ,here she is stop with the questions jezz , give her some space " Norma yelled at them 

"Norma what's going on ?" I asked she just looked at me and sighed 

"Remember last night ,when your brother and Hanna's brother woke up the pixie town ,well they really startled the community and my granddad asked me to bring them to you, so that they can get there answer's ,some where cool with it other's have a few concern's" Norma said with a sad smile 

"It's alright I understand ,i just didn't know that there where pixie paparazzi, so I'm a little new to this whole interview thing , do y'all mind if I go get everyone else , so we can all answer ? " I asked as I could hear rustling coming from inside 

They nodded and I went inside closing the door behind me ,I could hear Norma trying to calm them down I chuckled slightly

" hey y'all you gotta get up ,we have paparazzi outside ,that want to ask us a few questions because some of the towns residents are concerned about us and all since Neill and Andrew woke everyone up last night ,some pixies are cool with it other's are just sceptical" I explained getting them all up to date

Hanna got up first , followed by Neil then Andrew 

" okay but if I have to talk to them and answer questions I'm having a blood bag first " Neill said rather upset that he had to do this , he hates interacting with people but he hates annoying people most 

"Agreed " Andrew, Hanna and I said in unison 

We good our blood and meat and drank / ate it quick , we went to the door and opened it

" alright we can start now but please one question at a time " I said to them ,I looked back to see all three of my friends chocked just like I was moments before

" when did vampires and werewolf start being friends ? " 

"How is it that you found us "

" could you identify yourselves "

" do you really eat raw meat ?"

"Between the four of you ,how many people have you killed "

"ALRIGHT THAT IS ENOUGH ,FOLIAR TO CORPORATE WITH MISS JENNIFER AGAIN ,WILL RESULT IN THIS INTERVIEW BEING CANCELLED " Norma yelled at them again , I can't say that I blame her as I was really grateful for it 

"Alright may I go first, this will just take a second " some reporter responded after Norma, Norma just nodded

"Okay, so how is it that you guys are traveling together? Like I thought you where foes " the reporter spoke again as our pictures where being taken as well as we where being filmed by  camera men ,I sorta chuckled at  the fact that they truly thought they where filming all four of us when in reality there would only be two people in that video or picture 

No one spoke so I took the lead " first off , we, my brother and I are vampire's , your not going to see use on your camera's, so please stop bugging us by shoving them in our faces " i said as I rub my head  " second , we are all friends on a trip to see the world " I finished not wanting to say the real reason as I didn't know if the leader of the pack/ clan we're going to get to see's this ,

all of a sudden a bright light came on and I felt like I was on fire ,I screamed when I heard Neil scream to , Hanna, Andrew and Norma jumped in front of us to try and shelled us from the light ,as quickly as the light came it faded 

"WHO DID THAT ?!!" Norma yelled ,everyone cleared a path right to a young boy holding a camera ,he looked  chocked 

" I'm so sorry ,are you guys okay ,I didn't know how strong that flash was, I was just trying to act cool there's no memory in here ,please don't arrest me " he looked as if he wanted to cry 

" give that to me , GUARDS !" Norma screamed the last part and I got an idea 

" Wait " I said as I stretched out my now fully blistered hand "give me that and you won't get into any trouble " I said to  the young boy 

" Jennifer what are you doing , he hurt you and your brother, he should go to jail or at least be sent home   " Norma asked 

" I honestly don't think he meant to other wise he would have continued to press the button , can I call the interview off tho ?, I want to talk to my five friends and this young boy" i said while breathing hard my hole body was on fire 

" you all heard her this interview is over ,you may all go back to your daily businesses, Spencer your coming with us  " Norma said as she ushered for the young boy I'm assuming is Spencer 

We got inside the hut and every one looked at me weirdly 

" Jen are you okay ? " Hanna asked as she walked towards me 

" yeah I'm fine , Spencer is there a way you can make that light or flash thingy brighter and make it last longer enough to actually kill a vampire?" I asked my four companions gasped 

" Jen are you mad , that light almost killed us " Neil said as he folded his arms 

" that's just it ,we need it to be stronger and make it last longer because vampire's can die from it " I said with a wink 

" I'm not following "Neil said confused

" Norma , Spencer what I'm about to tell doesn't leave this room understood?" I asked as they both nod 
"We're not here because we're on a trip to see the world , we're here to seek Justice , we on a mission to find a group of vampires and werewolves that destroyed our alpha and our elder ,on our way to there group we got ambushed that's when Hanna got shot, now guys I think this light might give us a standing chance as there's so many of them and only four of us ,what I'm thinking is we use that flash to burn the vampire which Hanna and Andrew have to do while you and I will have to create so much noise in the forest to bring the wolves to us while they us the light on the vampire's after that what ever is left we take on together " I said while breathing hard that was a long explanation 

" see sis this is why your the elder of our clan " Neil said with a smile 

" Aunty Norma can you help me with the supplies to make it better for them " Spencer asked while the four of us raised an eye brow at Norma

" you where going to put your nephew in jail " I asked a bit chocked 

" yes I will help you as well as find something for their burns to heal and no i agreed with the guards that until Spencer is 18 ,every time I call them to take him ,they take him straight to his mother aka my sister and she's all for the law, so she's really the inforcer here " Norma said with a light smile 

"Damn that would be deeply appreciated if you could fix our burn's , we generally heal fast but when it comes to things like sunburn it is really painful and takes forever to heal ,so please do help us "Neil said  as he attempted to get on his knees and beg 

"Alright if you guys want you can come with me to my lab and I can try figure this all out for you " Norma said to us



NARRATIVE of WARD COURIER/CONFERENCE with TED BENNETT and EVAN DAVIS
March, 2010
SOUTH WALES and BUFFALO, NY

On Wednesday, March 17, I checked my mailbox in the faculty room and found one of the familiar pink-slip memos from the office. Since so many of these are internal memos that hold dreary news - extra duty, more paperwork, a meeting that could turn into a scolding - the pink slips had become jokes with the faculty. This one was from the Headmaster's secretary. The FBI man Ted Bennett had called the school and asked for me to be cleared for a meeting on the following day.
I had developed suspicions about every part of my interaction with Bennett. I never knew what he would be asking me next or what he might be driving at. I had given up underestimating the extent of his outreach. I suspected that he could have an influence over everyone, even people I considered close.
There was a bit of light, though, to be shed on the recent scenario. Because the requested conference was designed around what everybody at the school that year knew was my off day, it made me think Bennett and Headmaster Burns were still in contact. That reassured me, in a way.
Our gruff, grandfatherly Headmaster was all right, at least if I could judge anybody at all. He had a cast-iron backbone and an old-school sense of right and wrong. He wouldn't steer you into any trouble he could foresee. That meant that Bennett was all right in the big picture, and that, as far as Bennett could judge, so was Evan Davis of the Drug Enforcement Agency. The site chosen for the meeting surprised me, though: one of Buffalo's Victorian monuments, a redeveloped factory just southeast of the historic city core. It held a hundred offices, including that of my intellectual property attorney. It was a likely place for me to show up once in awhile, and another curve for anyone tailing any of us.
I got there way early and went straight to the suite to which I'd been directed. It turned out to be the offices of Homeland Security. I did a double-take and circled around that corner of the building, hardly believing it. Reassured by the secretary in the reception area, I was again processing things. I had not known that Homeland had a branch in this building, but it was a very logical place for my two inquisitors, Bennett and Davis, to drop in, probably several times a month. Only someone spying on all three of us and coordinating the surveillance would have put the picture together. Perfect. Yet another curve.
A secretary walked me into the conference room. Like Bennett's Niagara Square office, this one had a fine overlook of the Buffalo waterfront. I found Bennett and Davis in their coats and ties. I was ten minutes early, and there they were, waiting and ready. What was it about these guys? Next meeting, if there ever was one, I was determined to beat them to it, if it meant getting there an hour early.
By our second meeting I had pegged Bennett to have his eye on an eventual career in politics. He was his rangy, olive-complected, preppy self, dressed right out of the Joseph Bank catalog, still looking like the college lacrosse man I had figured him to be, and still color-blind. A blue button-down shirt, a maroon tie, a brown suit. Nice threads on their own, but... horrible together. At every one of our earlier meetings I had wondered who dressed him. Was his wife color-blind, too?
Davis still looked like a born-again football lineman. Every part of him was pale and solid, down to those tanless, blunt, broad hands on the table. I bet it took a chisel to cut those nails. He was in a grey suit that looked less expensive than Bennett's. Davis was Mens' Wearhouse, I would have figured. At least things matched with him.
I thought I noticed a chill in the air when I took my seat. I try not to over-process things. It could have been just my imagination. Still, I went through my mental file for potential mess-ups. I hadn't broken any confidences. I hadn't talked about this investigation in any compromising fashion. Maybe that wasn't it. Maybe they both had headaches. Maybe things were getting tense in the two separate investigations. Maybe they were just unhappy with things in this world that didn't tally in theirs. Maybe they had heard what I had heard about the mysterious blind people, the ones we were calling without knowing why, "The Whistlers."
One thing I realize I should have asked myself at the time was, 'Why are these two doing interviews together?' The FBI and the DEA? One was after an interstate, even international antiquities ring and the other was on the trail of a new drug. Except for the fact that the subjects were foreshadowed in my work - and that they bordered on subjects of the paranormal - they shouldn't have been related. The obvious link was me. My stories and published research had overlapped the subjects. I was beginning to get tired of that as a default explanation.
"We want to ask you about another one of your stories," said Ted Bennett, looking into his notes at a printout of a web page I recognized. "You may recall the one you call 'The Hunters.' It's about an interview with an individual who believed he had met a being that might qualify to be called a vampire."
"'The Hunters,'" I said. "Winner of the "Jobs in Hell" 2001 contest for horror fiction, again under the pen name Mason Winfield. Published by the legendary wild man whose pen name is Feo Amante. Nominated by horror guru Brian Keene, whose pen name is Brian Keene. Given an honorable mention in the year's best horror and fantasy. Would have been published in that book if they could have agreed on the year it belonged to. It was the tweener date. Won a December 2001 contest, wasn't published till January 2002. So which year does it belong to?"
They just looked at me. Maybe I was being a little flip. I guess I was getting tired of these one-sided meetings.
Ted Bennett spoke with impeccable patience. "We'd like to ask you how much of that story you believe was based on fact."
"I don't think much," I said. "It seems way too fantastic."
Bennett had the expression of a man who had gotten the answer he had expected. "Can you direct us to any individuals we could interview?"
"About that wacky story?" I said, wondering what in the Hell it could have to do with anything they might be working on. "I can give you some leads. But I think you'll be disappointed. Like many paranormal reports, that story is based on the testimony of one person. One good interview. It's an old junior high school friend I interviewed in the late 1990s. I don't remember the year. He told me that one killer story. I am sorry for my own reasons to tell you that he passed away of cancer a few years ago. He was living in Florida at the time. The story was largely his."
"So nothing like that happened to you?" said Bennett. "That was the story of the guy you interviewed?"
"All the way," I said.
"So I have this straight," said Bennett. "You never met the guy you called Lang in that story, the guy on the trail of the vampire?"
"Never," I said. "That mysterious personality was my friend's friend. The whole story was an imaginative takeoff on my friend's story. I fleshed a lot of details out based on my relationship with my old friend."
"We're interested in talking to the person you called Lang in that story," said Davis. "Is that what the guy looked like?"
"No," I said as patiently as I could. "The Lang-character is what my old friend looked, acted, and talked like. I imagined what it was like for him to have that interview and that experience. I imagined myself driving to one of our wacky meetings about New York State, which we really did used to have. It was at our last one that he told me the story. Other than the doctored-up hat and the adventure-clothes, he gave me very few clues about what his vampire-hunting friend looked like."
"Do you have any leads for us at all?" said Davis.
"I may be able to point you to some people who kept in better touch with my old friend than I did. Some of them might be able to give you a lead. Friends. His sister. His ex-wife. I can give you that list at the end."
Davis nodded like this would be all right with him. Talk first, references later. I was used to this routine.
"So this story's not based as much on research," said Bennett.
"That's about the shape of it," I said. "One interview with an old friend. I gave the two characters the same background my friend and I had. It seemed a lot more vivid that way. In fact, that was the one weird story my friend ever did tell me."

June looked up and said, "No. I think I'm like Den in that aspect. I come from a really old vampire family. Though not as royal a family as his of course."
Stella's eyes popped out of their sockets, "Sharp comes from a vampire family? He's a royal!?!?!"
June frowned, "You know for someone who has been living with him for a month, you know too little about him."
Stella scratched her head, "Maybe so. Anyway, so how did you guys meet? What happened?"
June quickly glanced at the living room clock. An action that was almost a blur.
Allen rubbed his nose, "It's a story I'm rather fond to tell. And I believe that it won't be doing justice to our beautiful story if we told it to you in a hurry."
Stella blinked, "Do you have somewhere you need to be?"
June: "Well you see. Allen kind of has an interview this evening. We did not think that our visit would take so much time..."
Stella clapped her hands, "Of course. You guys should definitely go. Tell me, when is your interview airing? I would love to watch it."
Allen smiled, "I'll personally come and watch it with you."
Stella jumped up and down, "Yayyyy..... I guess staying with vampires does have many benefits."
June laughed as she hugged Stella goodbye, "You are the only person I know who can talk like that."
Stella smiled as Allen also hugged her goodbye, "Will you be all right alone?"
Stella rolled her eyes, "I may look twelve. But I'm not."
Allen laughed as he ruffled Stella's hair, "You're still a lot younger than us, shortcake."
Stella waved goodbye as Allen and June went away hand in hand, running at a great speed leaving behind a cloud of dust.
Stella went back inside the cottage and stretched. "So, what to do now?" She thought to herself as she headed for her room.
The first floor landing consisted of only two rooms, Stella's bedroom, and the other what she assumed to be Den's room. 
As she passed by it, a small ringing sound seemed to come from Den's room. Stella was curious, she had never been inside Den's room.
Stella thought for some time, but the ringing stopped. Stella was disappointed as she removed her hand from the door handle. She had no more an excuse to go in. But the ringing started again. Without wasting even a second, Stella opened the door and went in.
Stella was surprised looking around Den's bedroom. The thing that struck her the most, was that there was no bed. She wondered if the room could even be called a bedroom without a bed. She looked around and there was nothing much of interest. Just mountains and mountains of books, a little too much for Stella's taste. And a big wooden study table in the middle, of an ancient style. Stella ran her fingers over it and noticed Den's phone there, the ringing sound coming from it.
"Hmm, there are so many books here. I wonder what it is like in his study?" Stella wondered to herself as she walked towards a door in the opposite wall from the one she has just come in by.
The door was slightly open and Stella opened it and walked in.
