"Are you done?" he said, took his file and started to leave. "No I am not done! How could you Mr. Anderson? She's just little innocent child." She said holding his arm to stop him. "She's your daughter, what kind of man behaves like this with his own daug-" She was then pushed by Tyler, her back hit the wall, she squeaked "for the last time Miss Cooper, stay out of it! I pay you to take care of Beth, just come do your work and leave! I don't need you to interfere in our life." Tyler hissed looking at her with his jaw tight. Hailey couldn't deny she was scared at that moment. The way his eyes were glaring at her and his closeness where giving her Goosebumps. "am I clear?" Hailey was not able to anything at that time so she nodded while Tyler left house banging door behind him while she signed in relief.

An angry voice shouts out "WHAT?!! SHOOT?? WHERE?? Are you okay my little one!" the last question the voice was anxious and full of worries.
"Yes, Master, I'm okay now. I meet bother Vince and he took aid and bandage my shoulder, but Master, let me finish"
Sigh of relief could be heard from the other side of the phone
"Okay, sorry, continue"
"Well, in the end the mission is almost messed up by this member, now I'll continue with the questions"
"By any chance do you know someone whose name is Ana Norland?"
"Ah! That name sounds familiar, I don't know where are you going from all this but…"
"Just think carefully Master 10 years ago!"
"Wow, you have even the year… hmmm… AH! And the ones being plotted against are fuming and trying to get ideas of what to do with the 'Orphan' Team Leader Beth, no notice that, it'll a matter of time until their good days comes to an end and they'll wish their own death to scape of the suffering.
Beth ended the call with her Master, the mysterious man, who can Evoque a sexy charm, and an evil aura at the same time. With unique features, desire and fear is what every woman who has seen him from afar or close would feel.
But for our Beth he is and will always be, the dotting Master, who spoiler and love her! He is the third most important person por her, you can tell just by remembering that he is the contact number 3 in her speed dial. (the last chapter XD).
Beth was super excited just to play with the disgusting duo, she won't touch the Scott family, but that doesn't mean that she'll let it pass just like that, the Family's Head is good, and the Eldest son with the heir to. 
Feeling good in the end of the day, Beth decides to take a shower and go to sleep, it's only 12 o'clock, but she is growing, don't want to be left behind and be short when she stands side by side her brother Vince.
Taking a quick shower because of the wound, oh, she forgot the wound on her left shoulder, she was so engrossed on the reports and video recordings that she forgot the wound, even the pain of it. 
She went to find the aid kit under the bed, and returning to the bathroom with the kit, she began taking the old bandages, cleaning the wound with alcohol and then it dressed with a new bandage.
It's the first time that a bullet gets through her, it hurts but she bares the pain without any chances on her expression, why? Because…
"Even if this is my first-time ending wounded, it doesn't hurt like the pain I went through two years ago…"

"What the fudge? It is my lucky day to be the first blood in this game."
Aila begrudgingly exclaimed to herself as she awaits the game masters' decision.
"Aila, please choose, is it the truth or a dare?"
Lucy asked her with a scary tone, Aila felt like she is about to be interrogated. Nevertheless, Aila welcomes this new threat to her and is ready to face this challenge head-on.
"Truth"
She answered concisely.
"Okay, since this is the first round we will be asking a very simple question."
Aila nodded in anticipation of Lucy's question.
"Are you single right now?"
Aila sighed and smiled.
"Well, that was a fairly simple question, yes, I am single right now; I am not in a committed relationship."
Everyone gasps as they looked at Marcus, who seemed neither sad nor surprised with Aila's answer. Marcus is a secure guy, he is well aware of his status in Aila's life. Although he wishes to be in a committed relationship with her, he also respects Aila's decision since he can only do so much.
Lucy on the other hand, actually wanted to hear Aila's answer because once she establishes that she is not in a relationship this is when they intend to pound her questions regarding her sugar daddy there is where they will catch her lies.
"Okay, fair enough, now let' spin the bottle again."
In anticipation, Aila's palm started sweating, the bottle halted and pointed at Tony.
"Tony, truth or dare?"
"Dare!"
Tony was eager to do a dare, he actually seemed happy that the bottle stopped at him.
"Is there a woman you like in here, if yes then kiss that person, if none, then take off one item of your clothing."
Marcus was on alert; he did not want Tony to have this opportunity to kiss Aila. He knows very well how addictive those soft, sweet, and luscious lips of Aila are. He wants a taste of it again just thinking about it. 
Tony faced Aila, and inched closer to Aila, she slightly moved away, but he was quick enough to kiss her on the forehead. Marcus felt relieved seeing how Aila was trying to avoid Tony's kiss. He smiled at Aila and mouthed the words that send shivers to Aila.
"You are mine babe."
Aila rolled her eyes and also mouthed words to him;
"I hate you."
They both smiled at their silly gestures. Lucy again spins the bottle and unfortunately, it stopped in Beth's direction. Aila instantly knew that the two women are plotting something that would either make them appear righteous or her looking like a loser. 
 "Beth, is it the truth or a dare?"
Lucy smiled at Beth as if she was hinting at her to do something.
"Truth"
"Can you tell us who your boylet is?"
"Marcus!"
Beth confidently said Marcus's name out loud. Marcus looked at Aila immediately trying to deny Beth's announcement. Aila just raised her eyebrows at him not giving him a chance to explain.
"Boylet? What does that even mean?"
Marcus was furious about Beth's pronouncement. It was not too long ago when Marcus was just a silent indifferent jerk to everyone; but how come Beth thinks she can do whatever she wants with Marcus?
"Marcus, it means that we don't have a relationship I am well aware that you like me and I like you too."
Beth's smile was a very irritating sight for Aila, how come she has the face to say all these things in front of them especially in front of Marcus?
Marcus gave a mirthless laugh, his eyes were dead straight on Beth.
"If that's the case, then I am not your boylet."
He faced Aila and said;
"That perfectly describes me for you, but then I'd still prefer you to call me babe"
His naughty smile brought out those sexy dimples that Aila could not resist. She blushed with the statement Marcus just made and acted mad at him as she glared and asked him to stop.
Beth's plan to bring down Aila's confidence backfired, she honestly believed that Marcus was her boylet.
Lucy hurriedly spins the bottle again, not wanting to dwell on their first failed attempt to discredit Aila. The bottle again stopped pointing at Aila.
"Truth or Dare?"
Aila had the same answer as her first turn; "the truth"
"How much did your car cost?"
Because of her question, Aila already knew the line of questioning would involve the issue of her taking a bus. So she decided to get along with it and tell them the truth.
"I have no idea about the exact price."
She politely replied to Lucy.
"Could it be that you didn't buy it yourself?"
Aila smiled and tucked the stray strands of hair behind her ears.
"If we are talking about the last cars I bought; I did buy them myself, but I did not even ask how much they cost."
Beth's group laughed at the clumsy excuse Aila used.
"Okay, you actually think we will believe you just now? You are talking about cars just how many cars do you have?"
Beth was obviously trying to make fun of her.
"I don't know, but the last time bought two; one white and one orange; my other cars were purchased by my dad."
Beth laughed at Aila.
"Daddy? Is that your sugar daddy?"
Aila thought of laying out some details in the open to stop Beth from her indecent speculations.
"Okay, I'll try my best to recall all of them, my first car mini cooper I got it for my 15th birthday; then for my 16th birthday Audi R8; for my 19th birthday it was a BMW and my last birthday it was the Lambo Urus; as for the last two Lamborghini Hurucan I bought, I gave one to the manager that assisted me."
Those who heard it dropped their jaws. But Beth would not let go because it was too much for her to believe.
"Make sure you get your story right so that it won't be too obvious that you are telling a lie! Hahaha!"
Aila was confused by what Beth said, because she knew everything she said was right.
"What do you mean? I did tell the truth".
Beth was still laughing.
"Girl you forgot your 17th birthday and 18th birthday, if you are planning to brag about your fake story, at least have the decency to tell it well."
Aila looked at Marcus and they both giggled. It made Beth feel uneasy.
"But we were talking about cars; I got a Villa in Amanpulo Island for my 17th birthday and then for my 18th birthday I got a GC- Force 66 a yacht".
Beth made a face because she was embarrassed by it, but she can't really prove that Aila was telling a lie.
Lucy turned the bottle again and it stopped pointing at Beth.
"Dare!"
Beth immediately answered without being asked.
"Alright, I dare you to ask anyone a question".
Lucy smiled after saying her dare; it's just like the bottle was pointed at her again because she is a hundred percent sure that Beth will again use this opportunity to shame her.
Beth laughed and looked at Aila, she took out her phone and showed everyone the photo they secretly took; the photo of Aila secretly talking with an old man that looked rich.
"My question for you is; who this old guy is and why were you talking to him secretly?"
The group, especially the boys did not know about this side of Aila's personality.
Again, Marcus laughed when he saw the photo, the group was confused about why Marcus was not mad if Aila was secretly meeting up with someone.
"Beth, that I such a serious accusation you can be sued for slander."
Marcus wanted to threaten Beth a little bit.
"Well, if her conscience is clear why not just answer the question?"
Aila brought out her phone and called Butler Emil, she put it on the loudspeaker.
"Lady Aila, good evening; what can I do for you?"
His butler replied.
"Yes, Butler Emil, can you come over here I'm getting a bit troubled."
"Right away Lady Aila"
In less than a minute, Butler Emil knocked on the door.
They were surprised that Aila's staff was a nice gentleman in front of them.
"Lady Aila, what's troubling you?"
"Can you please introduce yourself?"
The gentleman answered without hesitation.
"I am the personal butler of Ms. Aila Rodriguez, I am here to make sure our Lady is safe and comfortable"
He bowed after introducing himself to the people.
"So butler Emil, do you happen to know how many cars do I own?"
Aila thought that if the answer came from other people, they would believe it more.
"Yes Ms. Aila, your personal cars gifted by your father are four and then you bought two last week, but you gave the white one to the dealership manager and then the fleet cars of your staff are fifteen. So you have a total of twenty.
The gentleman took a deep breath.
"One more thing, do you remember the gifts that I received from dad since my 15th birthday?"
Aila really wants the opportunity to have someone speak for her.
"Of Course my lady,
Every year your daddy gives you a personal gift with the goal of matching its price to your actual birthday wish; he did that because you never wished for anything that would personally benefit you.
On your 15th birthday, you requested a Radiation treatment machine donated to a public hospital and the corresponding amount was given to you by your daddy's mini cooper.
Then on your 16th birthday, you requested dialysis machines which were also donated to a public hospital, it was matched by your daddy with an Audi A8.
On your 17th birthday, you requested the construction of this building and library for the people of this community, to match it, your dad bought you a Villa on Amanpulo Island.
And your 18th birthday you requested a roving dental bus to provide free dental services to poor communities and your daddy paid matched it with a luxury yacht.
For your 19th and 20th birthday you requested for college scholarships of one hundred deserving students, your father respectively matched it with a BMW and a Lamborghini Urus."
Aila nodded to her butler and thanked him.
"Okay, now my butler had answered your questions, the value of the vehicles you can probably imagine it based on its equivalents."
Beth turned pale because of the embarrassment.
 "I didn't want to brag or anything but you kept asking me and insinuating that I have a financier in a very lewd light If there's nothing else. I'd like to excuse myself."
Aila got up and went into her room.
Beth's blood was boiling with rage, how can Aila turn the table around on her just like that? Her eyes turned dark as she was planning to seek revenge again and this time she promised herself not to fail.



"Who's that girl? The one walking fast with her head down, " Yhuan asked his friend.

"She is a transfer student bro, She really is pretty, but she seems quite rude"

McKinley High reopens it's doors to a whole new bunch of students interested in the arts. Sam Evans prepares to meet a new bunch of members for The New Directions. But just before that the former members of The New Directions gather up to remember some friends.

I arrived at the Mapleleaf starving, almost eight o'clock at night. I found Beth in the hall. She was just arriving as well.
"Meg! I'm beat! How are you?"
"Good... As far as possible. How was there?"
"The job? It was chaos! We waited for Howard's final word the whole time. We couldn't make any progress... And we had to keep flushing out boring people who wanted an intervie... I mean... Not you, of course."
 I agreed with a bad giggle.
"And what are we gonna do next?"
"We are going to Jim's, of course. They wouldn't let me enter today because I was on my working shift. But if our suspicion that something is being hidden is correct, it must be hiding there, because that's where they didn't let anyone in. I think we should go tomorrow. You're not going to work all day tomorrow, are you?"
"Tomorrow I can go by the morning."
"Then as soon as you're awake we arrange via message."
"Ok."
She opened the doorknob of her apartment. I decided to tell her what the secretary told me right there.
"Beth, wanna know what I discovered?"
"What?"
"The SAD thinks the cases are one! McMiller's and Sanford's."
"But it's obvious it's only one. I mean... Unless it was really a running over, but that's impossible."
"I know, but besides that... They mentioned another name. A guy named Cooper."
"Cooper?"
"You guys of the DEA have any idea what this is about? I mean... Besides those two cases? Do you have anything else related to Jim's death?"
"Well... We haven't even been able to start yet... Because of all Silverbay's bureaucracy... But you're right, it's interesting. If we're gonna do this on our own... One of us better check Jim's house and the other... That McMiller's house. How about we both do it at the same time? Tomorrow morning? Each do a piece. The sooner the better so there's no time for them to take any evidence. I mean... If they really are hiding something."
"Sure. Perfect."
I think, as a cop, I'd better go to Jim's house because it looks more dangerous. They aren't closing the scene at Marshmoore, so you could take a look there. But turn that place upside down, Meg. Turn everything over!
"You got it. What about that other name?"
"I'm gonna find this Cooper guy tomorrow when I'm working, because I have the data available. I'm gonna make up a pretext... If they say it's a related case it must be something that happened which's in the files."
"Ok then. We talk to each other tomorrow."
"We do! Bye!"
Now I was feeling like a private detective. Working together with a cop like that. It was an exciting feeling.

The next day, as agreed, I woke up early and went to Marshmoore to see if I could get a house to rent. Marshmoore was a neighborhood near the center. The house where McMiller's murder happened was in an alley on the second floor of a small building. It actually happened in front of the building, not inside. Of course I didn't really want to rent the house, I was very happy with my nice light red apartment in Mapleleaf, thank you very much. 
But I was gonna give this excuse to the landlord to let me in. The landlord of the apartment in front of where Gerald McMiller's murder occurred.
Once I was inside it was nine in the morning. I woke up early, got ready and took the bus to Marshmoore, which took a while. But I'll tell you: Beth woke up even earlier. When I left home her car was no longer there.
"Suit yourself." The landlord recommended, as he stopped by the door. He was a short, almost bald guy with a stylish black mustache. I'm glad he wasn't one of those guys who hanged out with me advertising everything, he'd think it was weird if he saw me moving around the things that caught my attention. And I needed to do that if I really wanted to 'turn everything over' like Beth mentioned.
As expected, everything had been taken away: the furniture, the bed, the appliances... All that was left were the lamps and a little table in the kitchen.
The apartment itself wasn't much, we got in by the livinr room, which was long but narrow. That alone was already kind of weird. There were two entrances other than the kitchen, each giving to a room of smaller size. I think the tenant would decide whether it was a room or a studio, whichever was better. The kitchen was tiled and had a structure for sink, gas and a washing machine. The place had one bathroom and that was it. Nothing was too impressive.
One of the two rooms with a connection to the living room, that room/studio that I said before, had a window that led to the condominium parking lot, which was on the inside of the block. That is, it was not on the street, but inside the condominium. That window caught my attention. And that studio had caught my attention, too. Like there was something strange there.
I wonder why they took the furniture out of there. They'd usually leave some for the tenant, wouldn't they?
"She's all demobilized, isn't she?" I asked vaguely, realizing the owner was nearby.
"Yea... Some things happened, so we had to take them out..."
"What kind of things?"
"Yea... You know... There was a police check... There..." He got lost in the words.
"It doesn't have anything to do with that murder case last week, does it?" I asked with my most genuine trivial interest as a curious girl.
"So you heard about that too, mistress? Yes... It was one of those cases. A suspicious guy ended up staying here. You're not the type to mind that stuff, are you?"
"No, not really... It's the kind of thing that could happen anywhere, right?"
"You're right. But it's true I'm having trouble renting this here now because of it. My God... What a struggle."
"That's why you're gonna make a nice price for me, huh?" I winked. He didn't react.
If only the place were A LOT cheaper than Mapleleaf... I might even think about renting it for real... Although it was far from everything. And the condo was claustrophobic and dark. On second thought, I'd only pick if it was less than half the price. So no... Impossible. He'd never charge that little. Anyway, I was just there to really investigate. And I wasn't even sure what I wanted to investigate.
I noticed a blood stain on the wall. As soon as I got closer to see it, the owner apologized again:
"Belongs to the boy who rented. We couldn't clean at all."
"The suspect?"
"Yea."
"The culprit?"
"Huh?"
"The suspect was considered the culprit, no?"
"That I don't know. I didn't follow the news along, if you know what I mean."
I figured I'd better stop asking that kind of question or he'd realize I wasn't there to rent at all.
It was hard to guess the landlord's nationality, but he seemed like the kind of guy who'd want to take advantage of everything. And he seemed sharp for that kind of thing. The kind of thing that involved money. I don't think he'd want to make it any cheaper for anyone for anything. At most he was just gonna say he was doing it cheaper while charging the same price.
'If this bloodstain is on the window wall, that means...' I thought to myself.
I went to the window and opened it. It took a while to respond. After reaching a certain point the glass vibrated and swayed horizontally. I was afraid it would fall and that I would have to pay another one. I let go of the glass.
"Yea... I was thinking of switching that..." The little man with the black whiskers apologized. He knew it. I wasn't judging him for hiding it, but I was thinking, if he was aware of the window state, it's because that was caused by something. Could it be that on the day of the murder the man charged guilty, the two-foot-tall fugitive who came out in the paper (forgot his name) tried to run away through there?
In between the little space I had managed to open of the window I hung my neck out and looked in the direction of the parking lot. I couldn't help noticing there was a piece of iron thrown in the ground. It wasn't in the corner, leaning against the wall... It wasn't... It was in plain sight. Almost like it was an item to be caught. You know... These computer-game items, they're right in the middle of the scenario.
'That iron...'
"A strange guy was playing with that just now and left it there. It's weird because he's not from around here. He was there until just a while ago. I thought he came to see an apartment too, but..."
Are you implying that in addition to the apartment being claustrophobic, your neighborhood also acts suspiciously? Now that I'm not leaving Mapleleaf, sir. Not even for half the price!
"A strange guy? What do you mean with 'a strange guy?" I asked.
"Yea... I've never seen him around. He was pretty fat. Really fat! And he was kind of weird, you know... Because of the weight... Then he was playing with that iron in his hand. I think he must've some kind of mental problem, I don't know. He just came inside like that... I don't know how he got through the gatehouse..."
'Jabes...?'
But what would Jabes be doing there?
I went down to the parking lot and he was actually there. He told me about the little tool. I'm not transcribng what happened on my encounter with Jabes. I'm afraid of Jabes. He's too strange. I hate to say this about anyone, but he does have something about him that makes me uncomfortable. I feel like he has some negative energy coming from him.
But I'll tell you what, I found a clue. Actually, Jabes's the one who found it. And when it was lunchtime I went straight to Beth's to tell her the result of my adventure.

Beth was making pancakes, with bacon and sausage. 
"Are you going all in and enjoy lunch here as well?"
"If it's not too much... I think I'll grab abite, Beth. May I? It's gonna take me so long to make something for myself now... And it's already kind of late..."
"It's no trouble at all! Make yourself at home!"
Once During lunch I started:
"Do you know who I found in the apartment of the suspect in McMiller's death? Jabes!"
"Jabes?"
"Him! Your coworker! He was there. What was he doing there?"
"I don't know...? I didn't even know he had left the post!" 
"Ah..."
"Surely he must've been doing the same as you." Beth seemed unconcerned as she ate her stuffed pancake almost voraciously. At least she looked a lot better today than she did yesterday.
"...As us," I corrected, "Do you think the other members of your team are going to try and find something on their own as well?"
"You bet your ass they are! The DEA won't give up. Not 'that' people. You know Dan? He said he was gonna try to arrange a visit with the one who was found guilty of the first crime... The tenant of the apartment you were. He happens to have a name: Jeffrey Sprohic."
"Jeffrey Sprohic... Dan's getting a visit? What's he gonna ask? He was considered guilty that day, but now that the second crime has happened, what's gonna happen to him?"
"Dan is gonna 'try' an interview..." She stressed, "I don't know if he's really going to make it. We'll have to wait to answer those questions."
Beth must have thought I looked like a child. Getting overly excited like that about any little thing. But it was my first time as a detective.
But I had one thing to be excited about: Jabes' lead!
"You know what me and Jabes found?"
"What?"
"Guess! ♥"
"I won't be able to guess, Meg! What is it?" She put another pancake on her plate.
"A clue!! You know how the report was that they found blood belonging to Jeffrey Sprohic in the apartment window, which sealed the case, right? And in fact, I found blood when I went to check the apartment."
"Ah, yeah?"
"In the parking lot of the same condo, there was a small piece of iron that could be used as a crowbar or something. It could've opened the window from the outside."
"A crowbar...?"
"And there was blood on it too."
"Where was it?"
"In the parking lot I said! The window that Jeffrey Sprohic jumped out to escape the police... It lead to the parking lot. But there was also this iron. And it was down there."
"That's weird..."
"Isn't it? And he wouldn't have had to use a crowbar to open his own window from inside."
"What'd you do with the iron?"
"Err... Jabes took it. Actually, Jabes was the one who found it. He said he was gonna take it to Forensics to examine the blood."
"Jabes? So this means... You guys are working together now?"
"Wow! No! It's just that I don't have any contacts to send for analysis... I mean, I have you, but... Taking it to you would be the same as delivering it to Jabes because you both work in the same place, you know..."
"You did good. You didn't tell him I was also investigating on my own, did you?"
"No... I pretended it was just me. That's why I gave it to him. If I'd kept it withme, he'd think someone else was on it..."
"Great! If everyone finds out I'm investigating on my own, there's gonna be a stir at work. Anyway..." She finished her pancake and got another two: one salty and one sweet. She was really exaggerating, "we're gonna have to be on the lookout for this lead. What about Jabes? Did he say anything to you?"
He just went there to investigate the apartment at the same time as me. A coincidence - And unfortunate... - As expected he told me to stay away because it was too dangerous.
It's the same he'd say to Beth.
"And it is, Meg. If we're caught up with a serial killer... Those kind of people don't like very much that people find out their identity, you know..."
"I know, but..."
"Anyway," Beth suddenly finished eating, so much food was still on the plate yet she pushed it forward, which I'd never do. I hate leaving food on the plate. "And you know what I found out?"
"What?"
"A fantastic 'nothing!' There was nothing interesting about Jim's house. I even felt bad 'poking around' in his stuff like that. If there was anything important to be considered... It must've taken it all to forensics. There's nothing left there now."
"And did it give the impression they took something important from there?"
"Surprisingly no, Meg...? There was nothing to indicate that something was dragged or obviously taken out of place. I'm an investigator, so I'd get these things... But I don't think they must have found anything worthy either."
"They shouldn't... It was Jim, after all. If we're dealing with a maniac, there's no reason why he... I mean... They do pick their victims at random, don't they?"
"Yeah... You're probably right..."
Beth stood silent for a moment, and then recounted her findings:
"But even though I didn't find anything there, I hear there's something weird going on... And I think it's related. I mean... It has to be related!"
"Really? What?"
Beth stared me with a teasing expression, given my exaggerated enthusiasm.
"Well... You're gonna find it as weird as I do... You know Dan? The one who works with me?"
I nodded afirmatively and categorically.
"He said there are rumors that there's a werewolf attacking the city."
It was so sudden I laughed and spit pancake on the table... And on Beth.
"My God! Wow, Beth! I'm sorry!"
"It's okay... Let me get a cloth. No. You don't have to get up, I got this." She got up and went to the sink.
It wasn't exactly my brightest moment, but it had taken me so by surprise. I was expecting something serious... I didn't know what to say.
"Anyway... You heard that right," she shrugged, "that's what Dan said: a werewolf. Of course, he was also naturally skeptical about it. But it matches the account of four people already. Two say they were attacked by a werewolf on Monday and Tuesday nights respectively and the other two, though not attacked, are theoretically eyewitnesses..."
"And do you think... You know... That bite..."
I didn't want to bring the scene we saw yesterday to the table, but it was inevitable.
"That's why I say... Whatever's going on... It has to be related."
I sorta lost my hunger after I mentioned the bite...
"But then we have to investigate that too! Who's in charge of this werewolf case? It's not you, is it? There are no drugs involved... Or are there?"
" 'Who's in charge of the case' you say? Guess."
"The SAD..." She didn't even need to say.
Were they trying to get in charge of all the cases related to Jim's death precisely because they wanted to hide something they knew about? If they wanted to do something on the sly, by now they were making the whole thing very explicit.
Beth got up, so I went after her.
"You can have some more, Meg. You eat too little."
"I... Am fine, thanks."
"I have to go back to the DEA. Since I was out all morning I'll make up for it with an extra hour at lunchtime."
"Don't say... I'm going too. But then...? What's our next step?"
"Our next step... is waiting for the analysis, right? It's the only lead we got, so let's focus on that. As for the werewolf case, we'll have to leave it until later, when they've progressed on it. It would be bad to keep pressuring the same department about two cases that are technically different."
"You're right."
"I put on my beige coat I had left on top of the chair when I entered Beth's warm apartment."
"Shouldn't we try to contact the culprit of the first crime as well? Jeffrey Sprohic?"
"Why?"
"I mean... If the serial killer is still acting, then he's been arrested wrongfully, right?"
"To a certain extent. He's the one who stole the jewels, that's unquestionable, so he's not a good guy. I think we'll leave that to Dan. It'd be weird if every DEA agent showed up there asking a bunch of questions and they all went more or less on the same line."
"Yeah. You're right."
"Let's wait and gather information. After that we'll conclude something."
"Okay. Well... I'll be going too, then."
"See you soon, Meg. I'm gonna go to my room and get ready; when you leave pull the door over."
"Ok. Thanks for the bite."
I went out and walked about five feet to my house: the apartment next door.
I was tired. Tired on one hand, but agitated on the other. Agitated in the sense that I wanted to know the truth right away. The truth about the blood on the piece of iron. The truth about Jeffrey Sprohic. The truth about the werewolf case. The truth about Jim's death.
Was the werewolf the way the serial killer who caused both deaths dressed, and was he a madman who believed he was a wolf and bit people? How horrible...
Or were these rumors invented by the SAD itself because they want to cover up something they know about Jim and don't want to reveal? They've been acting very suspiciously since the beginning. At least since the jewelry robbery last week.
With the whole thing on my mind, I went to my room and for a moment or two - or three - I laid in bed. I tried a mixture of resting and calming my head.
Then I remembered I still had to work that afternoon, too.

When it was final that life was slowly pushing me to the edge of a cliff, one year had passed. A year full of migraines, unclear memories, stress and doubts. It was pure torture. I had made up my mind, I wanted my memories back and I was going to stop at nothing. 

"Can you put a name to the face? Or perhaps know anyone who may tell you of his whereabouts?" My new therapist, Lauren, was seated across me, furiously jutting on a notebook. I was laying on a sofa in the middle of her office, my eyes trained on the plain ceiling above me. The heavy rainfall outside caused a comforting tap tap tap sound on the window. 

"My sister says what I described to her fitted the man she met as my boyfriend about a year before my accident." It was my first therapy session with a different therapist than the one assigned to me by my father. Beth, was an elderly woman who was all about me forgetting my past and focusing on what the future held. I was never at ease with her and never trusted her enough to share the visions that plagued my mind. 

"Is he the only memory you have? Do you get some from your friends, parents, anyone?" 

I turned to look at her and with a heavy sigh, I said, "Weirdly enough, he's the only one I see each time a new memory comes." 

"How do you feel when you get those visions? What do you do in them?" She stopped writing to stare at me. 

Since she had no connection with my parents and I was paying her out of my pockets, I was free to share all my worries with her. "I feel . . . In love. Mostly, we kiss, cuddle, go out, have romantic moments; the list is endless." 

"Could that be the reason why you feel nothing for your fiancé?" 

"Honestly, I don't know. But it's possible. I feel like a bad guy, I hurt him over and over again whenever he asks if I'm ready. He won't say it, but I see it, I see the hurt in his eyes." I put my head in my hands and let out a heavy breath. 

"It's not your fault. If you don't love someone you don't, there's nothing you can do about it. This other guy, I think you have unfinished business with him, he can't just be in your memory for nothing. There's one thing you didn't get; closure," she concluded. I pondered on it for a few seconds and nodded, that was the best explanation for what was going on. 

"I feel like my life is wasting away. I haven't done anything constructive in the past year. I can't remember anything useful and it makes me feel useless. I can't work cause my entire education has been wiped off my mind. Everything I worked hard for has gone down the drain. I feel like a child," I cried out. 

"You are undergoing depression and it's the worst path to go in. You're in denial, Zoey. You need to accept that this has happened and work your way around it. Learn to adapt and try doing other things. Otherwise, you'll just waste away for who knows how long cause we don't know if and when your memory will return." 

"So I should just forget who I was?" I sat up and glared at her. 

"Of course not, try finding out everything about you. Take notes on your likes and dislikes, your behaviours and future plans. But first of all, you need to embrace this tragedy, have power over it and you will see good results. You never know, you might get back your 10 years by doing this," she advised. 

"Really? Have you counselled people who got back their memories through doing that?" I stared at her through hope-filled eyes. 

"I can't say for sure that it's what brought back some memories but I can attest that it was one of the reasons," she explained. 

She was right, I was running away from my reality and that's why everything concerning my life was on a standstill. It was time to accept that the worst had happened and do something about it. I was sure it wasn't going to be an easy journey but I was willing to try. 

"For today's session, I want you to lie down and close your eyes. Don't think, don't do anything, just relax and let your mind take over," she instructed. I laid back down and closed my eyes. "Now focus, picture the guy and tell me what you see." 

Minutes passed but I couldn't see anything. I gave up, opened my eyes and was about to sit up when a numbing pain at the back of my head blinded my eyesight. I tried to call out to Lauren for help but I could barely lift a finger. 

I laid there helpless and resigned to my fate as my mind travelled down memory lane . . . 

"Babe, I'm so damn nervous." He adjusted his maroon tie for the hundredth time. 

"Don't be, you look so hot." I giggled. 

"You're lying, I look like a lost clown," he whined. It was the first time he was wearing an official outfit; a pale blue shirt and a navy blue suit to be precise. He looked good in everything he wore. It was like his body was made to fit anything he tried on. 

"Why would I lie to you? You look amazing, for real. I'm sure my parents will like you." I wrapped my hands around his neck and pulled him towards me. 

"Or we could stay here and get naughty." He filled the space between us and squeezed my butt cheeks with his hands. 

"That's a great idea." 

"Mmmh!" He moaned as he peppered kisses all over my neck. 

"But no, we're not going to do that. At least not today," I mumbled, trying to get out of his hold. 

"Alright, you win." He circled his hands around my waist and dipped his head at the crook of my neck. "I hope they like me," he whispered. 

"I hope so too, babe. I really hope so." My parents were difficult to please and the fact that he didn't have any money nor came from a rich family was going to raise issues. Especially with my mother. Dad didn't care less who I dated so long as I was treated with respect and love. But still, it was hard to get on his good side. 

"Shall we?" He handed me my handbag and off we went. 

"Quick question, when we get married someday, would you agree to live in a house that I can afford?" The difference in our lifestyles was a sore subject in our relationship. He constantly felt like he was not good enough for me cause he couldn't provide all the material things I could acquire from my parents. 

I was driving so I glanced at him for a second before directing my eyes back to the road. "You know too well that I don't care about material things. Remember what I told you about social statuses and all?" 

He bobbed his head up and down. "Yeah, you never know what may happen tomorrow because nothing in life is permanent," he recited my old saying. 

"Exactly! So don't worry about the cash. As long as we got each other, we're good. You're intelligent, I'm intelligent and we're gonna make our own millions." The fact that he was hardworking was enough for me and I always believed that my parent's money is theirs so I should make my own. 

"You're a gem, Zoey. I love you." He reached out for my left hand and kissed it repeatedly. 

"Aww! I love you so much more," I cooed 

"That's music to my ears. How much longer till we get there?" 

"We're two blocks away," I notified him. 

"Oh crap! I don't know how you got me to do this." He let out a nervous laugh. I had never seen him fret so much. He was always bold and outspoken. 

"Calm down, it won't be as bad as you're imagining. You'll be alright," I said. 

"I can already picture your mother scowling at me. She won't like me when she realises I'm not from your social class." 

"Don't say that, she may not even mind." I stopped at our main gate and got my head out of the window for the face recognition detector and the gate clicked before opening. 

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't be saying that about your mother. I'm just so nervous and it's not an excuse to say mean things, forgive me," he said once I got my head back in. My lips curled into a smile and it took all of my willpower not to burst out laughing. He was a fidgety mess. 

"It's okay, I completely understand you. Plus, most of what you said is true. Giving others a hard time is her hobby. Not to worry though, I got your back." 

"Thank you, baby." He kissed me on the cheek. Once I parked the car and handed him the gift pack he bought for my parents, we exited the car and stood side by side at the front door. 

"Ready or not, here we come." He winked and rang the doorbell. I was giggling and smacking his shoulder when the door swung open. 

"Good morning, I'm Jackson Cooper," he said and stretched his hand out for my father. 

"Zoey? Wake up!" I opened my eyes slowly and when my surroundings registered to me, I shot up and stared at Lauren. "That was the longest memory I've ever had," I said. 

"Yeah, very dangerous if I might add," she scolded. 

"I got his name." I beamed. 

"Please, tell me about it, I couldn't understand anything from your jumbled words and whispers." She picked her notebook from the table as she sat back in her seat. 

With wild gestures and an almost excited tone, I explained everything I had seen. She wrote down all she deemed necessary and suddenly went mute, staring into space. 

"Aren't you going to say anything?" 

"Honestly, this guy is hard to read. From what you've said, he's sweet and can make a perfect partner but he's insecure about his financial status. Yet, your parents told you that he was after your money. I'll have to get more information about him for me to conclude," she stated. 

"Alright, I'll let you know when I have another episode." 

"Great. I think our session is just about to end so let's wrap up. Any questions?" She looked from her wristwatch to me. 

Once I was contented, I gathered my stuff and exited her office before taking the elevator to the ground floor. I walked out of the building and down the street to where my chauffeur was waiting. I couldn't even remember how to drive. 

Only one thing was on my mind; finding out who Jackson Cooper was and tracing him to wherever he was. I needed answers. 

"What the heck! Are you blind?" A lady was lying in a pool of water by the side of the road, screaming her lungs out in my direction. I looked around me but there was no one else. "Did I do that?" I asked. 

"No! It was that pole over there, duh!" she retorted. 

"Gosh! I'm so sorry." I bent over and offered her my hand. She used it to support her body and got on her feet. I couldn't help but gape at the dirty water dripping from her wet clothes. "I don't live too far, do you mind coming with me? I'd love to offer you a change of clothes for the trouble." 

"Quite thoughtful, I don't mind." She squeezed the little water she could before looking back at me. 

"This way, please." I led her a few steps away from where we were standing and let her in first when the chauffeur opened the door for us. 

"I'm Zoey," I said after we were settled. 

"Sheena Davis. Nice to meet you, partner in crime." She smiled and seconds later, we were giggling like we knew each other.

A new day has come for the people to realise what they are. So when the inevitable happens, everyone is shook and can't help but wish things could go back to normal. 

But they have made their decision and there is no turning back now. They are over and done with, resulting in the end of such bogus people. 

They have new beginnings and more blessings as they grow into fame, popularity and billionaires.

Everything they touch now turns into great things and the happiness that overcomes them is immeasurable. 

God is always watching over them making it harder for anyone to mess with them. Everything is alright now.

"Daddy!" yelled an energetic kid. He was running from the garden towards the large mansion.
The little kid yelled again. This time, you could see a man walking outside to meet the boy. His forehead creased in worry. His arms were on his hips. "What did I tell you? No running. What if you trip and get hurt?"
The boy hugged the man. He looked up to meet his eyes. "It's because of papa! He's chasing me! He said that if he caught me, he'll eat me!" he complained.
The man hugged back. He sighed. "Cooper, your papa is just joking with you. He won't actually eat you."
After he said that. Another guy came running towards the two while laughing maniacally. "I found you!" he said, directing it to the boy. "You can't escape me now! Muwahaha!"
The boy named Cooper hid behind his father's back. "Daddy help me!"
The distance between them continued to shorten. When he was two steps closer, the one called daddy raised his hands, chest leveled, and put his palm in front of the man. The man paused seeing that.
"Cris, stop scaring Cooper." The man ordered simply.
The one who was called Cris grumbled. "You're no fun Norvyn. It's just a little chase, there's no harm done."
Norvyn deadpanned. "No harm done. What do you mean no harm done? Cooper is afraid of you."
Cristopher looked at Cooper who's giving him a proud face behind his daddy's back. 'This little brat.'
Norvyn didn't notice what Cooper was doing because everytime he looked at him, Cooper put on a teary face. 
"Thank you daddy! You saved me from the monster!" Cooper smiled sweetly. Norvyn hoisted up Cooper and carried him. "Of course! I don't want my adorable baby to get eaten by the big, bad, and ugly monster." 
Norvyn booped Cooper's nose which made the child giggle.
Norvyn glanced at his husband who had a shocked and hurt expression on his face. Cristopher dramatically put his hand on his chest and said, "Ugly? I'm hurt! If this face is ugly, then how did I successfully seduce you?"
"I wonder." Norvyn sarcastically said.
Cristopher just chuckled and wrapped his arms around his husband's waist. Cooper tried to push his father away but to no avail.
"Go away, you meanie! Don't hug my daddy!"
Cristopher raised his eyebrows. "And why can't I hug my husband?"
"Because daddy loves me more than you and I am the only one who can hug daddy!" he looked at Norvyn with his puppy eyes. "Right daddy?"
Norvyn stared for seconds. Contemplating if he'll answer it truthfully or not. He sighed. "Let's go inside. I prepared a snack for you two." He decided to just not answer.
The two males pouted. They both wanted to know his answer.
The three walked back to the mansion. Norvyn was having a hard time walking with Cristopher still hugging him from the back. He stopped and glared at his husband. Cristopher looked at him in question. "What is it?"
"Can you remove your arms around my waist? I am having a hard time walking."
Cristopher just kept staring at Norvyn. After a few seconds, he smiled mischievously. "I don't want to."
Norvyn sighed. "Please, Cris."
Cristopher shook his head and hugged him tighter.
When Cooper saw that his papa was bullying his daddy, he determinately tried to shove his papa's arms. When he saw that it didn't work, he smacked his head with all his might. "Let my daddy go!" Cristopher just laughed at his effort.
"You can't remove me! You are weak." Cristopher cackled.
Cooper's mouth wobbled, his eyes became teary. If Cristopher teases him again, Cooper will surely cry.
Seeing this, Norvyn stomped on Cristopher's right foot, hard.
Cristopher quickly removed his arms that were wrapped around his husband's waist to touch his foot.
Norvyn continued walking and ignored Cristopher's howl of pain. Cooper snickered at his father's pain and blew a raspberry on him. When his papa saw it, he scowled and continued to hold his right foot. 
Norvyn laughed at the two's interaction.
Norvyn went to the dining room and he set Cooper down. He grabbed a bottle of apple juice that was in the refrigerator and poured it into a glass. He gave it to Cooper who was sitting down on the chair.
"Thanks daddy." Cooper drank it rather fast. He stopped after drinking half of the juice.
Cristopher went inside and sat next to his son. Norvyn got another glass for his husband. 
After drinking the whole glass, Cristopher talked. "I'm glad we have some bonding time together. I'm busy with work and playing with Cooper, even though he's a sly monkey, he's my stress reliever."
"What about me?" asked Norvyn.
Cristopher smirked. "Of course you are the stress remover." he wiggled his eyebrows and threw on a suggestive look.
Norvyn just looked blank but his eyes were telling that he's rather disgusted at his husband right now. How can he say that in front of their child?! 
"Is that all I am to you? A stress remover?"
Cristopher's expression rapidly changed into panic when he heard the tone that his lover used. "O-of course not! Who said that you're just a stress remover? That's just one of the perks of having a good husband! You're handsome, cool, good, an angel, everything that a person can say good to you, that's you. You're a wonderful person!"
Norvyn raised his right eyebrow and crossed his arms. "Oh, is that so?" he knew that Cristopher was just licking his boots but he let him. 
Cristopher nodded his head. He stood up and walked over to his husband. He hugged him. His head only reached Norvyn's nose. He leaned his head on Norvyn's shoulder and hugged him tightly. "You know that it's not what I meant right?"
Norvyn reciprocated his hug. "Of course, I just want to see you scared."
"Wow, I feel the love. Cooper inherited that from you." Norvyn laughed. 
"And he inherited your silliness."
"What a good trait." Cristopher said, the sentence was dripping in sarcasm. 
Norvyn grinned. "That's what I love about you."
Cristopher smiled. "... I love you."
Norvyn hugged him tighter. "I love you too."
Cooper seeing his two fathers hugging each other, joined in and wrapped his little arms around the two. He smiled and looked up to see both of their faces. "I love you three!"
The two men laughed and put their cute child between the hug. 
What a wonderful day for the three of them.


Cooper never had a normal life. He always needed more attention than normal people. Making a deal with his father was the best thing Cooper did.

He went to new locations; he experienced new things, he even made new friends!

Though there was one exception: his classmate Calvin.
