He was beautiful. 

That was always the first thing I thought every time I would see him. His dark hair and brown eyes. The straight slope of his nose and the arch of his brow. A sharp jawline and full lips. He was absolutely stunning. But what made him beautiful wasn’t his looks. 

He had a kind heart. A heart of gold that  never missed a chance to help someone in need. He would laugh with you and he would cry with you. He would stand with you when no one else will. 

That was what made him beautiful. 

But the thing is, you can’t keep beautiful things. You just have to let them be. They come and go, they grow and they change. Beautiful things are actually sad to look at, because you know that they will always be out of reach. When you are not as pretty as them, you are shunned and pushed aside. So you do what you do best, you just look and be happy for all the love they receive.

I see a breathtaking person every single day, and my heart soars and shatters at the exact same time. 

Because he was absolutely beautiful.

And it was always a reminder, that he could never be mine.



I'm not sure what to say or where to start. 

The love I was able to bear was so strong and powerful that I myself still do not understand why I have nurtured so much hope. Deep down, I always knew that this love would be one-way and, in a sense, it was right for me to love on my own, but what hurt me the most was not to have a deep gratitude and to have suffered so much for a person who perhaps did not deserve this love. 

Yet, and I am contradictory in what I am about to say, I do not regret having loved him. I have lived many things through the love I have had for him. I knew what it felt like to have a heart that beats unconditionally when you see the one you love; I knew what it felt like to have your stomach tied at the idea of spending a moment alone with him and I knew what it was like to have a heart that beats so hard that you're afraid that the person concerned will hear it. 

Besides, my heart is still beating for him. My heart alwaysfeels its own when I get a message from him but I'm proud to say that my feelings have diminished, because you have to know that it's not easy to forget someone you've loved for years. I know that I am unable to stop loving him, such a strong love cannot be entirely forgotten. I would love him much less and one day, I hope, I will eventually open up to someone else and let that person love me. 

It's still a horrible thing, one-way love. We suffer alone, we feel alone and we love alone. We make incredible films and scenarios and interpret all his actions wrong. But I can say that it is a beautiful thing anyway. 

 Yes, we love for two, and unfortunately sometimes we find ourselves alone in bed at night crying because the one we love with all our strength does not love us as we would like. 

This one-way love to its disadvantages, we suffer a lot. We suffer so much that we hurt ourselves... We go through different states and we want to hurt ourselves to show that we are not well and that we just want to receive love and affection. We scream for a few minutes in our pillow to empty and pass all his feelings in the hope that they will leave with it. We tell ourselves that we will stop hurting ourselves for nothing by arguing with this person and forgetting him but even if we want him with all our strength, we come back to him again and again. 

This person may not deserve to be in such a state, I recognize. This person may never suspect the evil in which one puts himself simply because he cannot understand it and one cannot blame him. We can't blame her because she can never love someone like we could love her. 

We may be making and mistakes, but we always get up, only tonight thanks to someone who opens our eyes or ourselves. 

 We may forget ourselves, we may love so much, but we may listen to all the advice of the world, the only thing that will allow us to forget and not love this person so strongly is perhaps our perseverance but not. What will make one forget this average person we've clung to is time. Yes, yes, that stupid time! 

Time has allowed me to see how stupid and weak I could have been. It allowed me to question myself and allow me to find myself. I have matured with this love and now this love belongs to the past. I don't know how I was totally transparent... I listened to my friends, cried countless times in my mother's arms, told this story in detail to anyone who wanted to hear it, saw many sad and distressed faces for me but I am proud of how far I have come. 

I ended up just leaving it behind me. I kind of managed to give up that person and I was getting myself from him, far behind me. This decision allowed me to love myself, to understand my character, to discover who I am inside. I turned this love into something so small that I was able to throw it over my shoulder to allow me to move forward without.

I'm proud of myself. Proud of what this love has made of me, and the person I am today. I'm not afraid to love again, but I'm not ready to give my heart to someone because I think they also need time to recover from this story. He has suffered so much, been mistreated and rejected that I don't think I'm open to a relationship but I don't suffer anymore, I'm soothed. 

I have at my side the best friends I can have, who support me and give me strength. I have a loving family always behind me and proud to see me happy above all. 

And that person, yes, the person I loved is always part of my life. She was relegated to the second see even third plane because it does not count any more than before but I understood that I needed her in my life despite everything. This person will have a special place in my heart that no one can ever take: my first love.

The shrine bells sing a sorrowful love story.


White pigeons flew around the blooming sakura trees as its branches sway with the gentle push of the wind. The clouds are slowly drifting in the clear blue skies, making the sun peek at the edge of the earth.


It's morning. I found myself on my old comfortable bed in my room, here in the Brightmore Shrine. I briefly checked my body. My heart feels light. Everything about me feels so great. I don't have to endure the pain that was stored in my heart anymore.


"...Rikkun?"


Those were the first words that went out of my mouth. I raised my body up and slowly glanced at the corners of the room. Still dreaming, my mind drifted to the last thoughts I had before going to this room. It seems that I have no recollection of what happened… and I feel empty.


My eyes locked on the laptop on my desk. I'm sure it was Rikkun's, as he asked his best friend to deliver it back to him here in this shrine. Maybe Rikkun left this laptop intentionally on my desk.


I saw a white paper tucked on the laptop. It reads "Please open my confession video."


I sat on my desk immediately and booted the laptop. After a few moments, I saw one and only file at the very home page of the computer, and it is titled "My Confession." I clicked it and played the video.


There, I saw the man I loved for eternity. He is preparing to look good even though the camera is already recording. He's wiped his golden hair and slapped his blushing cheeks. I made a giggle when I saw my boyfriend being so self-conscious.


My brief happiness continued as I watch my lover speak.

As Charmaine starts to think why she still can't forget her feelings for Dominic as she realised that there is no way she will fall for him again if she did not have anymore feelings left for him but she did, and the reason why she went to look for him is not just because she cares about him as a friend and the strongest ally but because she still loves him. She then wondered who is more worthy of her love between Dominic and Gabriel. She thought of her past with Dominic on how they met and how they got closer and fell in love, how he was there for her when she needed him especially when she was in the point of death, it was him who saved her from Lucy, and it was him who taught her how to master her powers. She owes him a lot, although he has hurt her feelings so much, but it was not his intention because of unexpected circumstances that happened just before he was about to go back to London and she realised that it wont hurt her so much, if she does not love him so much because the more you love, the more it hurts when it happens. Then she thought of how Gabriel was always there for her, encouraging her, comforting her, supporting her, and helping her in her times of need and troubles. She can see how he really cares about her and how serious he is towards her. She can tell how much he loves her deeply, and yet there were times when she gets confused because Gabriel was ignoring her, although it was only because he wanted to surprise her. She realised that it also hurts her to see him ignoring her like that but it does not hurt that much, but seeing him talking to other girls hurts her so much. She then remembered someone saying "In terms of Love, you will always get hurt, love is always painful because they are opposites and you won't get hurt, if you don't love. The only thing you need to think is who is worth the pain." She started thinking about this saying or quote and wonders who is really worth the pain. She realised how hard it is to choose because they both are good angels, friend, and sweet lover. Is it the past or the present lover? She then remembered what Dominic told her and she does not want to lose Dominic forever. She realised that she cannot live without him, not literally because he is the strongest, but because she loves him. However, Charmaine does not know that Gabriel is looking for her and went to her room. Gabriel is allowed in her room since their engagement because they are supposed to or about to get married and it is going to be his room as well after the wedding. Unfortunately, Gabriel read her mind and found out everything as he was there since she started thinking about the two of them. Gabriel felt insecure and shouted.

Gabriel: Charmaine!!
Charmaine: Gabriel...?
Gabriel: How can you think of him when we are going to get married?! I am your fiancè and the one you love, right? You cannot love someone else, or both of us at the same time!!
Charmaine: You were there??

Then Gabriel tried to pull her towards him to kiss her and **** her, but then he got kicked out of the palace and realised he was being selfish and lustful as his eyes turned to a desire and obsession of having Charmaine to love him back. He tried to go back inside, but no avail. So he decided to contact Charmaine and asked her to come out.

Gabriel: Charmaine, can you come outside? Please!
Charmaine: No!
Gabriel: You will because you wont find Dominic if you stayed inside. Hahahaha!
Charmaine: I will still be able to find him.
Gabriel: Oh really? How? No matter which way you go, I will still find you as well.
Charmaine: *How am I going to meet Dominic now, if Gabriel is outside and waiting for me to come out for sure. Arghhh! I need to talk to Dominic.*
Gabriel: C'mon, Charmaine. Come outside. You're going to lose him. Hahahaha!

Charmaine tried to contact Dominic as she now knows where is he located but Dominic is not responding as he wants her to go to him personally to prove that she has chosen him and not going to marry Gabriel because he knows she is with Gabriel at the palace. Charmaine realised that Dominic is probably thinking this as well, so she sent him a message with emergency subject.

Charmaine: Dominic, please talk to me. I need you. Gabriel tried to kiss me and **** me when I told him that I still love you, and I want to come back to you. Now, he got kicked outside the palace and can't get inside, but now I cannot go outside because if I did, he will find me and **** me again. You know we should not fight each other especially using our powers against each other or we will lose them and we will become fallen. I don't want that to happen. Please, help me. I realised that I love you so much, and that is also why it hurt me so much and why I was trying to avoid you because I still love you and it still hurts me and I thought I still can't forgive you but my heart already forgave you long time ago and it still beats fast because I really love you.

Dominic saw her message and wonders if it is true or just trying to lure him back to the palace, so he decided to sneak towards the palace to find out if it is true or not. He goes to the palace by disguising himself as a normal human and hiding his presence or aura, so they won't know that he is coming. As he comes hiding behind a tree and looking at the palace, he saw Gabriel outside flying around several feet above the barrier, so he can see the whole palace and if someone comes out. Dominic realised that Charmaine is not luring him back to the palace but she really just wants to be with him. So, Dominic finally replied to Charmaine's message.

Dominic: Charmaine, I am outside the palace right now in a disguise as a normal human. You can also disguise yourself as a normal human like before.
Charmaine: You finally replied! How can I disguise if they will still find out because of the shape of my body, my skin, and face, I already disguised myself before and I will get find out this time.
Dominic: Don't worry. Use a contact lens, and make up to change your skin. Use a green or blue eyes, then a much lighter skin than your fair skin right now, and then change your hair colour to golden yellow, and your outfit to however you want that you have not worn yet. They will think you're a pure caucasian or british person and won't recognise you because your eyes and skin will also be different. Your nose is already pointed, so it is fine. Your lips are not thick and somewhat similar to caucasian people as well, so they are fine as well. I am hiding behind a tree wearing sports outfit.
Charmaine: Okay, I will change now, then I will come out at the back gate. I have to take care of the workers at the back first. I will ask Raphael to have a meeting with them regarding the management, security, and supplies.

Chapter Twelve 

Midnight's POV 

Kai and I were left alone. I do not know? Why do we need to do this? My tears are about to fall but I'm enduring, everything has to be realistic. Kai approached me. He held my hands. The sadness was obvious on his face and was confused. 

"You didn't mean it right? Tell me you were just joking. You won't give me to Winter, Will you, Midnight?" Kai said while his eyes speak to me and waiting for some answers. 

"It was all true, Kai I'm sorry" I removed his grip on my hand and this is the last time I can hold his hand. 

"Why? I'm confused!" He tried to convince me, he even held me on both of my shoulders. 

I just bowed my head, I can't look straight into his eyes. "I REALIZED THAT I DIDN'T LOVE YOU!" I had no excuse to say. 

"No! I won't believe it!" He touched both cheeks "Look straight into my eyes, Midnight Please!" I forcibly look into his eyes. And when I look at it, his eyes also start to cry. Please! don't let my tears fall. 

"Because I don't love you, I hope you'll understand? Don't waste your love on me. I know there's someone who'll deserve it better than me. It's not me Kai, Sorry"

That’s when I think of some plan. so I told him I wanted to talk to Kai so he took me to their dorm when I came in I saw him immediately he looked miserable and it was my fault. 

"Kai" I call out his name. 

"WHY ARE YOU HERE !!!!!!!!!" he said furiously. 

"I'm sorry," was all I could say to him. 

"SORRY?! WINTER YOU RUINED EVERYTHING DAMN !!!!!" he madly shouts at me while pointing his finger. 

"I didn't mean to love you! At first, I have no intention of helping you! Because I expect this to happen. But because you insisted! I had no choice. I tried to hide that I love you! if I could just teach my heart at least once, I would say, hey! don't love him, because I'll be allowing myself to get hurt. but that's impossible, Kai. That can't occur." I told him while crying. 

"YOU'RE ANNOYING WINTER! WHY ME ?! YOU KNOW I LOVE MIDNIGHT SO MUCH! I JUST LOOKED AT YOU AS A FRIEND. BECAUSE I WAS SURE THAT YOU CAN'T FALL IN LOVE WITH ME, THAT YOU'RE DIFFERENT?! BUT YOU'RE JUST LIKE OTHER WOMEN. YOU'RE A BIG HURDLE! THERE'S ONLY ONE WORD THAT SHOULD DESCRIBE YOU! A WRECKER!!! " because of what he said I slapped him.

While I was crying and running to leave their dorm, Lukas tried to chase me but he didn't catch up with me until I got out. I didn't notice a car rushing: 

"WINTER !!!!!!!!" I heard Lukas screams out my name. 

I stared at the headlight you were about to approach me. because of the wrong decisions, everyone is affected. until I felt the impact of the car hitting me, I flew away because of the clash until slowly my vision darkened...
