Continuing my Psionic Training, I began my usual activity of trying to catch the hamster, early in the morning. With the amount of time I've spent in doing the same thing, I've been somewhat familiar with the hamster's movement. Which resulted with my sight being more consistent in following its actions. 

-Swoosh-Swoosh 

Right there! 

Seeing an opportunity to activate my ability, I quickly project my energy on the bouncing creature and activate Dominate Mind. But just like before, just as I almost control the thing's consciousness, my link to it suddenly got cut off short. Erasing any progress, I had in trying to control its mind. 

-Sigh... 

Another failure... 

"Time's up" 

With another attempt resulting in failure, I feel leg's first in the first in the ground. Contemplating for my lack of progress in the training. 

"Huh? The same result as before... I'm quite disappointed. You've been showing some great results in your past trainings and seeing you have a hard with this, makes me wonder if your past results were just a fluke" 

".. Sorry" 

"Well... my expectations weren't that high in the first place. So, don't feel kind of down from what I've said. Just try thinking harder in your jog will you, that might help you understand on why your failing with this task" 

Heading Heisenberg's advice, I tried contemplating on why I keep failing on said task, while I complete my jogged.  

What the hell, am I doing wrong... 

Deep in my thoughts, I first assess the reasons of why I keep failing on said task. 

Activating my ability just keeps failing because the thing will just bounce right off my range. And I'm not fast enough to control its mind in a moment either, for my ability takes time and that's the major issue. How the hell can I control it in a short time, I am even capable of such a feat... 

Frustrated with how I'm unable to think of any solutions, I wasn't able to notice that my jogged has brought me to the outside halls of the Agronomy Room. Seeing the place, I noticed two workers bringing a cage with cave bunnies inside. With how the bunnies are making a such fuss inside said cage, the one who was carrying the cage accidentally drops the thing, making the other worker somewhat angry. 

"What the hell dude?!" 

"Oh? How about you carry the thing instead. This bloody rabbit almost bit me while carrying it" 

"What are you a pussy? A Cave Bunny's bite, barely even hurts dumbass" 

"Huh?!" 

Ignoring their little quarrel, I quickly went passed them and continued my usual jogged. Despite me paying no heed to their quarrel, their words did leave an impression on me.  

So, a Cave bunny's bite doesn't hurt that much... quite an interesting information. 

While thinking of said knowledge, I can't help but be reminded of the hamster that I was trying to catch for the past week. Despite my hardships with dealing with the creature, the thing overall is pretty harmless. It doesn't even remotely hurt every time it crashes unto me. 

The thing is pretty harmless... harmless... harmless! 

With the sudden realization, a thought of how to deal with the bloody hamster was quickly made in my mind. 

I can't believe that I was overlooking such a detail, for a long time. 

Thinking that said plan of mine can work, I can't help but be somewhat excited. With a long free time still remaining, I vent my sudden excitedness by hastening up my jogging pace.  

Said jog continued for a few minutes, until the time was up. Somewhat exhausted from my jog, I came back to Heisenberg's room dripping in sweat. Seeing my sweaty appearance, I slowly regret my decision of speeding up pace. 

I should have probably slowed down pace... 

Seeing how there's nothing much I can do. I entered the place, being ready to begin another attempt at the task.

"Hm? Your back... And dripping in more sweat than before..." 

"I'm ready to begin now" 

"You're not even going to take a rest?" 

"No need, I'm confident in being able to stop the hamster, now" 

"Oh really?" 

"Yes..." 

"If you say so..." 

Without warning, Heisenberg releases the hamster once more. Already prepared such an event, due to all the training I've done. I quickly followed the fleeing hamster as fast as I can. 

Seeing my presence getting closer. The hamster swiftly tried bouncing all over the place once more, which as expected. Not wanting to lose the creature, I hurriedly followed the thing's movement with my sight. 

-Swoosh-Swoosh-Swoosh 

With the hamster flinging all over the place, I readied myself and prepared to do my initial plan. After a few seconds of bouncing, the creature finally bounces straight to my direction. With the thing quickly heading in my way, I instantly use my Psionic Ability. 

Dominate Mind 

With my ability activated, I quickly tried gaining control of the creature's consciousness. But just as I almost succeeded on doing the thing, the approaching hamster softly crashes on my face. Cutting off, whatever progress I had. 

Shit! I shouldn't be minding the bloody thing and only focus on mind controlling it. 

With my new approach of stopping the thing, failing in its first try. I quickly brushed off said failure and begin another attempt. 

-Swoosh-Swoosh 

"Left, right, left, straight. Wait! Shi- Ahh"  

-Crash 

With my second attempt, resulting with the hamster crashing into my face before I can even activate my ability. I think that primarily focusing on the thing might not be a good idea. I guess... knowing when to activate my ability is also very vital. 

And with said thought in mind. I began another try of stopping the bloody thing.

A few minutes has passed 

-Crash 

"Ah!" 

Getting my face turned into a live target shot by the amount of times I got hit, I've lost count of how many times I have tried to stop the creature. The thing doesn't even hurt that much, yet it's soft and fuzzy body somehow triggers something inside of me, to essentially flinch every time it crashes onto me. I seriously need to stop said habit, if I ever want to control this thing. 

-Swoosh... 

Seeing the creature bounced once again, I quickly prepare for another attempt. With the amount of times I've already failed, I began changing my mindset and tried blocking any thought of flinching or sense of pain. 

Ignore it, ignore it, ignore it... 

Before I even knew it, the approaching hamster quickly crashes onto my face once again. Yet despite it coming in contact with my skin, I was only able to notice the thing right after it flings off of me. 

That hell just happened... 

Due to my confusion of what just happened. I was able to realize the fact that I forgot to activate my Psionic a bit too late. 

"Wait.. Fuck!" 

Realizing that I've just wasted a good opportunity, I can't help but swear all of the sudden. Wasting such a good opportunity just because I forgot to use my Psionic Ability, despite reminding myself just a few minutes ago. Is such a moronic move of me. 

I can't believe I made the same mistake twice... 

Panicking due to my mistake, my calm and composed state immediately went away. Mistake after mistake, despite feeling confident about my plan. Is seriously ruining my flow. But just as I try to start another attempt, Heisenberg's words suddenly echoed through my ears. Prompting me to stop in my tracks. 

"Your times over" 

Hearing the same words, over and over again. I can't help but feel frustrated. I've been trying to catch the bloody hamster for a week, and for me to miss such a good opportunity. Is so infuriating and stupid. 

"...I almost had it" 

-Chuckle 

"Seeing your face get pummeled is somewhat entertaining, but I do want to congratulate you for a job well done. You passed the test and you're now is ready to take the final one" 

"Huh? What do you mean that I passed the test?" 

"What you've just heard is indeed correct. You pass, plain and simple" 

"Wait! I didn't even catch the hamster, so how can you call it a pass?" 

"I never said anything about catching the thing" 

"I thought you said that I should stop the thing, what else could that mean than catching it?" 

"Well that was a lie, my intention for this training was to make you learn something that a Thought Control User should have" 

"Huh?" 

"For starters Bruce, while you were busying yourself in engaging with the hamster. What are the things that you've find lacking in your part?" 

"A-ah... well for one, my range isn't the farthest making it easy to escape and avoid my attacks, two is that my ability takes time to effect resulting in the same problem and lastly is that a simple disturbance can easily disrupt any progress I have in my ability taking an effect" 

"That indeed is correct, the things you've mentioned are the disadvantages of being a Thought Control User. I can see that you at least have the brains to observed that" 

"Yeah... but what of it?" 

"Well you see Bruce, this training of mine focuses on said disadvantages and how to deal with it. I'm pretty sure that you've already figured that out a long time ago" 

"You indeed are correct. But I still can't see how I pass said training" 

"Let me ask you a question, Bruce. In the time you've spent with training, have you figure out on how to deal with the hamster?" 

"Somewhat... Due to how the hamster can easily get out of my range, my initial plan was to try and control it when it's closely approaching me. The thing doesn't even hurt that much when it comes in contact with me, so I planned on ignoring its impact and focus only on trying to control it. But as you can see, my plan didn't go very well. Dumbass me keeps flinching every time the hamster comes in contact, essentially disrupting my progress" 

"You failed in your plan of controlling the creature, but you did succeed on the ignoring part. That's all I needed to see in order for you to pass this training" 

"Wait, why?" 

"Again, the training was intended to teach you on how to deal with the drawbacks of being Thought Control User. And with you learning to ignore the disturbances of dealing with situations and solely focus on your goal, you pretty much grasp what I was trying to drill on you" 

"Okay I get it now, but still... Passing despite me not catching the hamster, just feels very wrong" 

"If you're still hang-up about it, you can still train with the hamster catching. But you do have to ask for permission in the Agronomy" 

"I see..." 

"I guess today's activity is finished now, so please go and take a rest. While you're at it, try taking a shower also" 

"I was going to do that anyway" 

"Good for you. While we're at it, I might as well inform you about how your final test is going to be" 

"Final Test? You mean you're not going to teach me after said test?" 

"Sadly yes, despite how much me personality teaching you will improve on things. Not having you experience Psionics by yourself might sully your potential on it. So, I'll let you and life, teach from now on. I have high expectations of you, so don't disappoint me" 

"But I've only just learned one ability with your training, are you not going to teach me some?" 

"Well you see, Bruce. Psionic Abilities mainly comes down on personal preferences. What a Psionic User's ability will be, is mostly dependent on what the user's wants or needs. That why most User's despite being in the same categories tend to specialize on different aspects and have varying abilities. So, if you want to have a Psionic Ability, I advise you to learn and create your own" 

"I-I have to create my own..." 

"Unfortunately, yes. But let's not dwell on that, I've yet to inform you about your final test" 

"Sorry... but what you've just said, I can't help but feel pressured. Creating an ability is something I've yet to tried" 

"That's pretty common for every Psionic User. Again, let's ignore it for now and focus your attention on what I'm about to inform you" 

"Okay..." 

"For your final test, things will be a little different. For now, you're probably familiar with how I start things" 

"You give schedules and time limits on said trainings, right? " 

"Indeed. But what makes this final test different is that instead of me giving you a schedule, you instead decide on when to start" 

"That seems understandable, considering I still am lacking in certain aspects" 

"With the amount of time you have, you can choose to either tackle said test or train a bit more. What choose you'll make is up to you? But in order give some tension on it, there will still be a time limit and punishment if you fail" 

"So, it's still kind of the same as before" 

"You're not entirely wrong. So, good luck" 

"Okay..." 

And with my training over, I've decided to head to the facility showers. But just as I head out from the door, I suddenly remembered Evee's words and went back to Heisenberg. 

"Hmm? You forgot something?" 

"Not really, but there's something I want to ask" 

"And what would that be?" 

"Well... Evee mentioned that you're familiar with Psionium, so I want to ask if you can make a weapon out of it" 

"Hmm... what a surprise. I would have never thought that you would have such a rare material in your possession. But to answer your question, I indeed can create a weapon or a tool out of it" 

"That's great, so how much does it cost?" 

-Chuckle 

"No need, I have an even better idea. Say... Bruce how about we make a deal?" 

"What do you mean?" 

"If you don't know, making something out of Psionium cost a lot. Basing on size, creating something out of a small Psionium cost about 500 silver monetas. And from what I know, you currently don't have said amount, right?" 

"T-that's correct..." 

"Well here's where my deal comes into play. In your final test, I'll create whatever you want with your Psionium for free. But I'll only do it, if you pass the test with three tries. Fail at it and I'll have you penalize with 500 silver monetas" 

"Isn't that a bit harsh for a punishment?" 

"You can simply not agree with my deal. But do bear in mind that this is the only time that I'll be making this deal. Whether if you would like to face the risk or not, is up to you?" 

Hearing Heisenberg's words, I began assessing the deal that he just proposed. The penalty of the deal is definitely huge and will greatly impact my finance if I indeed fail at the test. But at the same time, having a weapon be created for free will increase my arsenal and at least ensure some safety in my future missions and tasks. 

But just as before I can even decide on whether to accept the deal or not. A window screen suddenly popped out from my view, startling me all of the sudden. 

Accept Heisenberg's Deal? 
-Yes     -No 

The hell...? 

"So, what's it going to be?" 

"U-ummm..." 

Ignoring the screen for now, I've decided to think for a few moments of what my choice will be. And after thinking for a few minutes, I've finally decided on what to choose.

"I-I'll accept your deal" 

"Huh? What a surprise. I would have never thought that you would accept such a deal" 

"Me accepting it, is also very stupid of me. But I can't just ignore such an opportunity, especially if it's very close" 

"Well let's see if such demeanor, will pay off. I'll be waiting here, when you're ready" 

And with my questions answered, I have nothing more to do in the place. Leaving the area and making my way to the elevator. I can't help but feel shaken by what I did. 

Taking such a huge risk, is a very stupid and bold move of mine. But with that said, taking some risk is something that I need to eventually learn, If I ever want to survive in this mysterious and unforgiving world.

With the elevator door slowly opening, I again was shocked to see when a window screen suddenly pops out from my view. Reading the text of the thing, the screen informs me that I failed to decide on what to choose for the last 5 minutes. As such the quest was automatically accepted by the tool 

-User's input has been absent for the last 5 minutes. Quest will automatically be accepted as intended. 

-Devils Deal Quest is now in session 

"Huh?"

Upon getting transported in a different world, Lawrence Craft a normal everyday office worker, finds himself in an odd predicament. 
With no knowledge and understanding of whats going on. He ventures the mysterious world of Terracore to understand its mysteries, while avoiding the dangers that loomed through out said world.

Self-made cotton paper was a very important and necessary item when hamster breeding. It could be bought from the Internet. The product was whole, raw, pulp paper, without any artificial dyes, and it could be cut into finger-wide strips. Hamsters would instinctively search for nesting materials after giving birth to their pups. If they couldn't find them, they would be anxious, even if the owner had already made a nest for it. It was useless, however, as it would only be reassured if it was a nest made by the hamster themselves.
The cotton paper was given to the children for free by Zhang Zian––a pack was only ten yuan––and he had the children cut them into paper strips.
When the children saw that the female hamster was actually eating the cotton paper strips, they were all very shocked.
"Is the female hamster hungry? Why is it eating cotton paper?" Little Celery asked, worried.
"Yes, should we give it some food to eat? What if it gets so hungry it eats the little hamsters?" another child added.
"You all think it is eating the cotton paper? No, it is just keeping the cotton paper in its cheek to make it easy to move it to build a nest. The reason why we needed to cut the cotton paper into thin strips was because if it was too wide, it couldn't fit it into its mouth…"
After the cotton paper passed through its mouth, it would become softer, and hence it could not be replaced by normal sawdust. Sawdust was too hard; it could not eat it and it was not suitable to build a nest with.
It kept several pieces of cotton paper strips into its cheek pouch, then ran back to its baby hamsters. It spit out the cotton paper and started to make the nest without any guidance. After that, it ran back into the corner to eat the cotton paper again.
"Isn't it better to directly put the cotton paper closer to the babies?" a child who asked. "That way it wouldn't have to run back and forth. It just finished giving birth so it must be very tough for it, right?"
Zhang Zian nodded. "It is indeed very tough for it, but during the making of the cotton paper and the transporting of it, it is impossible to prevent it from getting some human scent on it. When it puts it in its mouth, its own scent overpowers the human scent. It can't be put too close, otherwise that wouldn't happen."
The children saw that the hamster mother was very busy even though it had just given birth and had used all its strength. It was still painstakingly traveling back and forth, building a shelter for its children. They could not help but pay tribute to it.
Zhang Zian said, "When your mother gave birth to you, she experienced much more pain than the mother hamster. In order to take care of you, she also did more hard work than the mother hamster. She not only had to take care of your clothes, food, and living, but she also had to run between her house and her workplace every day to earn more money in exchange for a bigger and more comfortable house––in exchange for good food, for things for you to play with, in exchange for a happier life for you… So you all should be considerate of your mother, and not always make her angry. Try to help her share some housework, which will be the best reward for her."
Remembering their mothers' daily hard work and how they often made her angry because of their studies and their naughtiness, a few of the usually naughtier boys bowed their heads in shame. Several already sensitive girls were so moved they had to wipe away tears.
If one just stood on the platform and nagged, it would absolutely not have such an effect. One would not be able to let the children intuitively understand the hard work of motherhood. They had to witness it, personally feel it, in order to leave a deep impression on them. If one could do that, the cost of buying pets and the hard work of keeping pets would be meaningful.
No matter if it was pets kept at home or school rearing courses, the purpose was not simply to let children play, but to cultivate their love and sense of responsibility in the process of raising pets. If they could also experience the hard work of mothers in the breeding process, that would be great.
The children had made up their minds to try to start doing housework when they got home later that day––even if it was just helping their mother sweep the floor or wipe the table.
"Little Celery does very well in this aspect. You all need to learn more from her," Zhang Zian encouraged.
"I… I still have not done enough…" Little Celery lowered her head, embarrassed.
Wang Yaning was a bit awkward. Her studies were very good, and all her time outside of school was spent on homework and various interest classes. Her mother also did not let her do any housework.
While they were chatting quietly, the female hamster had already moved all the cotton paper into the corner, made a shallow pit in the sawdust, put the pups in it, and then covered it with the cotton paper to make a simple and warm nest. After all, the newborn hamsters were hairless and had poor heat preservation abilities.
"The baby hamsters won't suffocate?" someone asked worriedly. They saw that the cotton paper had already totally covered the baby hamsters.
"Don't worry. That's the good thing about cotton paper and sawdust: There are a lot of holes in the middle and they can breathe, so it's not a problem," Zhang Zian said. He retrieved the food bowl the female hamster normally used and opened a bag of small steamed buns made of goat's milk and eggs that he purchased online. He put a few into it, and then put them into cardboard boxes as supplementary food for female hamster.
Although he did his best to encourage the children to prepare their own pet rearing supplies, baking was too hard for children.
The female hamster was still busy making a nest. Even if he prepared food for it, it did not have time to eat. It was just hurriedly drinking water to replace the water that it had lost while giving birth.
"You have an electric kettle here, right? Bring an egg tomorrow and boil it in plain water. After boiling it, you can break off the egg white that is the size of the nail cap and feed that to it to make sure it has enough protein. Don't overfeed it. The rest can be fed to other hamsters," Zhang Zian ordered.
"I see people feeding hamsters with mealworms. Is it better to eat live food?" a boy asked.

The children suddenly realized that and they were full of expectations for the next delivery.

More like a month if I'm lucky even with constant treatment." Peppers answered as she returned to her blackboard. "You see, currently we have Lost Tech and Steam Tech in our possession. We can ask Ayse and Weslie to come up with something that may be able to amplify Pepper's magical powers to a point where our little wizard does not end up killing herself." Qiu Yue voiced out her opinion.
"So now our solution is to destroy everything with a big blast?" Jin seemed not to be in favour of that plan.
"No, you don't get it? The threat is the Salamanders which are in that city. The people we wish to help are also in the city. Either way, we are going to get both of them. The explosion that Peppers performs also helps us collect tens or maybe hundreds worth of diverse species within that small region itself, enhancing our food repertoire by many folds."

Yuzuki stretched his body while giving another small yawn as he rubbed the corners of his eyes. While he didn't actually feel tired at all, he instinctively did this action. Pretty every single person does the same thing when they wake up.

[Prime World Access refers to the ability for Owner to travel to a modern world that closely resembles Owner's original world. The Prime World holds nothing supernatural and is a normal society. Owner will find a few differences in comparison to Owner's original world, but most will remain the same]
"So, it's basically a place for me to visit whenever and relax?"
[That is the simplest explanation, yes]
"Hm... I like it." Yuzuki didn't mind be able to travel to a world where he could just relax. He knew that he could travel to other worlds belonging to his customers, but he would prefer to relax in one that didn't exactly have anything that would be out of the norm. Such as if he ended up getting attacked by a dragon or something. "Wait, does that mean random people from this Prime World might end up coming into the restaurant?"

"Hmm, I see. Then can I use the summon now?"

Yuzuki waited patiently as a dinging sound was soon heard, to which he then widened his eyes slightly in surprise as a glowing blue circle soon appeared on the kitchen floor. Runes seemingly started to slowly form within the circle, it stopped after a few seconds before the entire thing released a pillar of light.
Yuzuki watched as the pillar soon began to fade away, along with the runic circle on the ground. When it fully faded away, he widened his eyes before blinking in a bit of confusion when he saw what had been summoned.

True to his words, on the ground was a tiny hamster-like creature that was white and black in colouration. It pretty much looked exactly like a hamster except for the fact that it also seemed to be covered in a dense divine aura from what Yuzuki could sense. The hamster appeared to be sleeping at the moment, evident from its body rising up and down due to breathing and that its eyes were closed.
'It's just a hamster... but, it's powerful.' Yuzuki honestly didn't think this thought would ever come to his mind. Despite how small and harmless this hamster was, he could tell it was no normal hamster. It had this divine aura that was probably even more potent than Shiroyasha's. "A divine hamster, huh? This is pretty weird..."

Yuzuki just blinked as he watched as the eyes of the hamster twitched a bit before they slowly began opening, revealing a pair of bright silver beautiful eyes. The hamster then began to slowly stand up on its back to legs.
"Good to see you're awake." Yuzuki smiled as he saw the hamster looking around the kitchen. The hamster heard his voice and turned towards Yuzuki, to which it looked up at his face. It then widened its eyes in recognition before giving a small bow. "I see, you must know me already. The system did say that you were already informed upon being summoned."
The hamster nodded its head cheerfully.
"Your name is Romeleus, right?"
The hamster once again nodded its head.
"Let's just call you Rome for simplicity's sake." Yuzuki deadpanned slightly as he said this. The hamster gave a small shrug and nodded in agreement, saying Romeleus all the time would be kind of a bother. "Okay then! I will be counting on you from now on then, Rome. I hope you can keep some rowdy customers in check for me."
Rome gave a small salute with one of its small arms as Yuzuki chuckled. Rome then quickly ran up Yuzuki's body before sitting down atop of his right shoulder. Yuzuki gave a small nod before looking to see that his two helpers were currently unactivated, they were still in their original positions with their heads tilted downwards.
"Might as well get started on buying myself a bedroom, my back kind of hurts..." Yuzuki groaned as he walked on over towards the computer. He quickly searched up bedrooms, to which numerous different designs were displayed to him. It seemed that the bedroom wasn't too much, maximum around fifteen thousand tokens. "Let's see..."
He could see the different styles, ranging from more modern bedrooms to more olden-day looks. Some were furnished with wooden furniture and others being metal, he even could see one that was made more out of stone. It didn't take him long at all before he came across a room that had the colours of white, black and red.
The walls appeared to be a pure beautiful white, along with all of the furniture being mainly black with crimson red. From what he read on it, the bedroom came with the bed, a desk, bedside drawers, a few chairs, a small carpet, and also a bookshelf. "System, is there any reason for me buying a computer?"
[Computers are connected to the web back in the Owner's old world. If the worlds that the Owner's customers come from also have internet access, then this computer will be able to connect to that web as well. When they did, they both could see that the room looked exactly like how the display on the computer had shown. The only difference was that he could see the computer still in its box placed on the ground beside his bed.
"I guess I still need to set it up on my own. I guess I don't mind, setting up a computer is actually pretty fun. Rome, can you quickly go and open up the restaurant?"
Rome gave another salute before jumping off of Yuzuki's shoulder before using his sharp fangs to open up the box before rushing out the door.

 Yuzuki and Rome were currently seen working on the computer, Rome was helping out with making sure that the wiring was all neat and tidy as well as connecting the wires to each part of the computer, being the main box as well as the monitor. Yuzuki was making sure to give the monitor a quick cleanup just in case.

"Hm?" Yuzuki suddenly heard the dinging of the door opening as both him and Rome stopped there and looked at one another. Yuzuki quickly then got up from his chair before patting down his clothes before quickly making his way out the door, Rome quickly followed behind him "I wonder who we have now."
"Greetings, I welcome you to my Beyond Dimensional Restaurant."

The life of a young child takes a massive turn when he finds himself the owner of a new restaurant accessible by anybody across the entire Omniverse! With his newfound powers, just what will come of this place?

After he had successfully kept the wolf looking beast busy, Corvus had advanced deeper into the forest with ease. And when he was just several meters away from where the hamster looking beasts were estimated to appear, the Devi on his arm vibrated.

"It's time!" He chuckled as his grip on his Hunter's Blades tightened. 

Then, he dashed towards a black tree and sliced it into half. He did this several more times, to the point that the area was started to be illuminated by the light coming from the nearest star. 

He did not waste any time and hid behind a tree, where he could safely observe if the hamster looking beast would be baited towards the stump of the black trees. Afterward, he turned off all his electrically charged or related equipment and gadgets, including his Devi.

This way, the hamster looking beasts would only be attracted to the only electrical energy source available, which was the tree stumps that were bursting with an electric current. This, in turn, made his heart pound heavily whilst beads of sweat started to fall from his face.

With no other detection capability other than his five senses, the threat posed towards him by planet Tordha had increased to another level as he won't be able to detect or record any potential threats that would slip from his mind.

'Patience...' He thought as minutes passed by, and there were still no signs of the hamster looking beasts. 

At that moment, he heard several explosions coming from the direction where the other teams were located. These explosions kept moving forward, indicating that the other teams were slowly but surely moving forward, even against the threat of the hamster looking beasts.

That said, his wait was not for naught. Somehow, injured hamster looking beasts had arrived and approached the tree stumps that Corvus prepared for them as bait. On top of that, the injured hamster looking beasts had lost their glow whilst the electric current enveloping their body had dissipated and were replaced by weak sparks--contrary to how they look in the videos displayed during the briefing session. 

"A chance!" Corvus murmured as he grabbed the Beam Pistol that was holstered under his armpit. 

Then, he aimed it towards the hamster looking beasts with one hand and started firing. Despite it was his first time shooting a Beam Gun, holes punched through the hamster looking beasts--Killing them on the spot. 

The moment he started firing towards the hamster looking beasts, hidding was of no use. Hence, he re-activated Devi and his other electrical related equipment as he approached their dead bodies. 

Minutes later, the amount of injured hamster looking beast that he encountered had diminished. At the same time, the explosions made by other teams had started to dissipate, not because there were no beasts that they encountered but, because they were already so far ahead from Corvus, for him to hear the explosions.

He knelt down and started dissecting the dead bodies of the hamster looking beasts. Truth be told, he had no knowledge about dissection, even its basics. That said, he simply opened the dead bodies with his Hunter's Blade, carefully, and allowed his Devi to record the data and information. 

"Ehk!" He cried after he almost vomited when he saw the innards of the hamster looking beast. 

In explorations, gathering as much data as possible was essential. Hence, he knew that dissection was a part of it. But... Like the typical men of his age, it is one of the tasks that they would gladly pass to other people even if it cost them money. 


It was only at this point that he had no choice but to do it because he was on his own. At the same time, he thought that it would be better to start learning dissection in this simulation rather than in actual scenarios. This way, he could obtain techniques and strategies that he may use in the future.

It may also help him devise or improve the way he strikes, stabs, or shoot enemies, to lessen the damage to the dead bodies of beasts, which would consequently increase its trade value to the market.

Later on, he became accustomed to it, while at the same time, his dissection ability had improved thanks to the guidance of his Devi. After checking the last dead body, he took a deep breath and headed forward towards the mountain.

Fortunately, the other teams had seemingly attracted and annihilated the other beasts, consequently leaving his path empty, and making his advance smooth and easy. Soon, he encountered a cliff that was around twenty feet high. 

It would have posed him a big problem if he needed to climb it in order to catch up to the other teams who had progressed deeper into the mountain. But... Fortunately, a gigantic ancient-looking gate was embedded in the wall made of rock.

"This..." Corvus stared at the ancient-looking gate with disbelief. 

Then, his hands had unconsciously tapped a button on his Devi that had seemingly rung the Devi of the other members of the Exploration group. And in the next second, a holographic screen popped out from his Devi, displaying everyone, including Guild Leader Jini and Officer Kal Bos, and seemed like it was a video call. 

"Young Lad, you know what that button is for, right?" Guild Leader Jini said, coldly, whilst wearing a menacing look.

On the other hand, Officer Kal Bos simply stood, waiting for his response. It was only after a few seconds that Corvus was able to return himself, and shifted the focus of his Devi from him towards the ancient-looking gate.

"Y-Yes, Senior!" He said, "I am just not sure if this is a... a Dungeon!"

For some reason, Guild Leader Jini burst into laughter--that was contrary to her previous demeanor. Then, she asked, coldly, "Young man, stand by! I'll be there in a few minutes."

"Y-Yes, Senior!" Corvus said as the scenario paused and a huge 'Congratulations!' remark was displayed, holographically, right before the ancient-looking gate.

"A tier?" Corvus uttered in astonishment. Then, he gasped and said, "No! I got an A tier rating and I am contented with it! Besides... I obtained all the information I need."

Slowly, his vision faded. And after a few minutes, he woke up and went out of the capsule. He took his bags and checked twice if he had dropped or forgotten something inside the capsule. Assured that everything was alright, he left the orientation room to look for the staff that guided him earlier.

"What could be my reward?" He murmured as he brimmed with excitement.

Though Yun-jeong had small eyes and a low nose bridge, her face was overall very small, and she had full, red lips like those often described in fairy tales. Therefore, she was most used to being called "cute" and "doll-like," but despite such an appearance, she was more greedy than her peers. Her gluttony was especially notable, though she couldn't really seem to eat much at once. Indeed, her gluttony manifested more along the lines of obsessing over different flavors. This meant that whenever food was nearby, she was sure to pounce on it.

For example, when someone had brought a snack to class, she unmistakeably sniffed it out and showed up before anyone could stop her. "Hey, what's that?" She asked excitedly. "Can I have some?!" At least she knew her manners enough to not touch others' food without permission.

"It's a macaron..." the classmate replied.
"Oh, so that's what a macaron looks like! It's my first time actually seeing one!"

Yun-jeong looked at her classmate with eyes full of wonder and expectation. Her doll-like features were an effective measure against girls just as much as boys, and there was no way her classmate could flat out refuse her.

"You can have one." As soon as permission was granted, Yun-jeong took a macaron in both hands and nibbled on it, looking much like a hamster. Food had to be respected, and tasting new things always required a certain level of focus and devotion. At least, Yun-jeong thought she looked poised and focused. She had no idea that to all her classmates, she only reminded them of a small, well-behaved hamster, happily wagging its tail about as it ate. She also didn't know that that was the exact reason they kept bringing snacks to class.

When Yun-jeong began her second year in high school, a strikingly cute boy had been admitted to the institute. All her friends had gone on and on about how he looked like a sculpture, but truth be told, she hadn't cared all that much. She simply didn't have the time to bother with a first grader, especially when there were still so many foods, so many flavors she had yet to discover. She was, after all, the only student who helped out the cafeteria cooks (with permission from the teachers, of course) in return for learning new recipes or using the leftover ingredients to experiment with her own cooking.

Then, one day, she saw the famous first grader in the cafeteria.

"Wow." The exclamation left her lips before she even realized, and her friend smirked at her.
"See? Told you. He's like, really good-looking. Which is ridiculous, cuz he's so little! Can you imagine what he'll be like when he's older?"

Yun-jeong didn't answer. Rather, she couldn't answer, because the boy's looks weren't what had grabbed her attention. It was his tray of food.

'Such deep respect!' She thought. What she saw was a boy who didn't waste a single grain of rice, who didn't leave any side dishes behind. To others, he might have been "just eating," but to an expert like her, it was so much more. She knew that this boy loved and respected food just as much as she did. And from then on, whenever she was in charge of handing out food, she would always make sure to give the boy a little bit extra. After all, he deserved it.

Then, when the institute was overcome with news of a terrible incident, one of the teachers came to Yun-jeong.

"There's an elementary schooler who really likes books, and he wants to go to the public library, but we can't send him alone. Could you make some time over the weekend?"
"Is it that "plaster face" kid?" She asked.
"Goodness, you older kids call him that, too? I thought it was just his classmates."
"We all do. It suits him. He does look really good."

And he eats well, she added in her mind. As things were, she had plans with friends anyway, so she gladly volunteered to chaperone the boy. She could use this opportunity to buy him some food and watch how he ate, which was, unbeknownst to her, the same reasoning her friends had for eating with her.

"Here, try this! And this, too! Do you want some of that?"
The street down to the public library was nothing short of a food adventure. From street foods to shops set up in alleyways, the two stopped by every single one to taste all the different morsels they found. If they had been in a food court with samples, they would have gone round and round, all day long. Thankfully, however, they weren't in a food court, and were instead headed towards the quiet peace of the library, which is possibly why their "food trip" ended so soon.

"What do you think?"
"There's... So many books."

As they walked into the library, Lucid smiled for the first time in a long time. However, that wasn't the answer Yun-jeong had wanted. As food wasn't allowed in the building, she had given the boy the last of the chicken skewers, and watched proudly as he ate it up like a cute baby hamster. Her question was more an attempt to get his thoughts on the food.

"And the taste?"
"Oh. It's good. They're good. Chicken skewers, I mean."

And what a lovely smile he had!

"God, I wish you were my little brother." She blurted out.
"What?"
"Hmm?"
"..."

She had only meant to think about it, and when the words left her mouth, she was just as taken aback as Lucid was. Still, she laughed it off, stroking his head and moving along. Yun-jeong was rather proud of her accomplishments for the day.

"So, how long will you stay here?"
"I'm not sure. How long can I stay?" Asked Lucid.
"Well... We need to get back by 6, so we should leave at 5 at most. I have some things to do, so I'll be back in a bit, alright? Be a good boy and just stay here and read up. If you have any questions, you can ask that teacher over there, behind the desk. Got that?"
"Yes."
"Still, I can't leave you all alone until 5, so I'll be back really soon. Maybe two hours? So you just have to hold on till then. Don't cry, even if you're alone, okay?"
"Yes, I don't mind. I'll just be here reading."
"And you're so polite, too!"

The library was section off into a children's wing, for infants and young students, and a regular wing for adults, with books ranging from novels to academic references. Lucid, of course, headed to the latter wing and began looking at all the available books. The subject that most recently grabbed his attention was, without a doubt, physics. As middle school physics was closely tied to math, he could make some sense out of it, thought it was difficult. It was, all in all, a perfect subjects to learn about in terms of efficiency. However, as he was self-taught, he took a rather long time to fully grasp each concept, and he therefore chose to consult as many references as he could so he could have a deeper understanding. Learning quickly was important, but Lucid had decided that being accurate and learning correctly was his top priority.

A faint sound resounded through the library, but Lucid ignored it. Rather, he didn't even notice it, as engrossed as he was in his book. This, however, also meant that he didn't notice the amount of people who kept gathering near him.

Everyone at the library watched Lucid as he read, observing him as if he were some rare specimen. After all, he looked so young, yet here he was, with a pile of books titled "Physics" next to him. But that wasn't all. He wasn't just a young child. He was a really, really pretty young child. This led some people to sneakily snap some pictures of him, and a few people even chose to upload the pictures to their social media.

"Weekend study session at the library. Gotta study hard! But look at what I found. An adorable little kid! #library #studyhard #littleprince"

As people got more and more excited, so did the library grow noisier and noisier, resulting in the library staff having to dismiss them all. Still, the boy didn't once look away from his reading. He didn't even raise his head, simply moving his fingers turn the page every so often. People couldn't stop admiring this sight. Some parents pointed to him and told their children, "You have to study hard like him, if you want to succeed in life."

Students who had come with their friends and had spent their time chatting and loitering about all took a look at Lucid and, with newfound motivation, returned to their seats and began to read their textbooks. Adults who had been displeased with the commotion took one look at Lucid and smiled to themselves about how the future of the country was looking bright.

That day, everyone at the library focused on studying, their motivation fueled by this small child. And, on that same day, people who had seen pictures on social media all "liked" the photos of the boy, wondering if this was some new form of advertisement for the public facility.

When Yun-jeong returned to the library, she saw that everyone was immersed in their own studying. The place was full of people choosing books from the shelves and reading at their seats, and it almost felt overcrowded. Still, there was one person who stood out, who shone the most amongst everyone else, and it was none other than Lucid. Yun-jeong couldn't bring herself to interrupt his focus, and therefore waited until it was time to go. The fact that she had felt the need to fit in and thus chose a book to read herself was just an added bonus.

"Director, have you heard about the increase in library traffic ever since those pictures went up on social media?"
"Oh, yes. I'm not good with that tech stuff, so it still feels a bit surreal to me. Is this what they mean by word of mouth?"
"Yes," continued the Chief of Management, "and that's why one of our employees came up with a proposal."
"For what?"
"To put it simply, it's about shooting an ad. With that child as our model."

As the director paused to think things through, the chief quickly pulled up some photos on a tablet and showed them off.

"We're preparing for the fall exhibition anyway, and we were just in need of a publicity campaign. Isn't this the perfect opportunity? It's much more refreshing than using a celebrity or a professional model, and we all agree that it's not a bad look."
"... Is that so?"

Surely, the cost would be drastically reduced if they could avoid hiring a model or celebrity. However, they both refrained from pointing this out. It was an obvious fact, and there was no need to look greedy by stating this outloud. It looks good, on a marketing perspective, was a perfectly good way of referring to it.

"Who is this, anyway?" asked the director.
"We weren't quite sure, at first, but the clerk who worked the desk that day happened to know him. He's a child at the Agnes Institute."
"Institute?"
"Yes. An orphanage, to be exact."
"... Reach out to them, ask for cooperation. No, scratch that. We'll pay them a visit. I think this might prove to be a really good opportunity."
