First thing I need to learn is how to read as I imagine magic will be this worlds equivalent of science. Therefore I will need to do lots of studying which will require a lot of reading. Thus I should use the books in the study. The simplest one seems to be the one my parents read to me at night. Once I have grasped this book I shall move onto another.
My parents seem blissfully unaware of what I spend my days doing. Now thinking about it what do my parents actually do. Maybe I'm the one who's blissfully unaware. We have a maid so surely we must be fairly well off. My father, Elis, seems to spend most of his days out of the house what could he be doing. He seems to head off with his sword was he perhaps a guard for the town. As for my mother, Anya, spends most of her time at home reading books while Freya, our maid, does all the housework. I'm surprised my mother hasn't noticed my interest in her books.
It's been around three years since my reincarnation now. During this time I have learnt more information about my family and have also advanced myself. For example my reading is going well I have managed to move onto what appears to be a magic textbook. I spend each waking hour deciphering and reading it. The maid seems to have noticed how much time I spend with this book. Yet she hasn't seemed to tell my parents about this. My mother seems to be able to cast basic magic spells from the four elements.  The book has told me that she performed spells belonging to the Conjuring branch of magic. In the book it says magic seems to have two main branches being Conjuring and Manipulation. Conjuring seems to be summoning and creation such the elemental magic my mother showed me. Whereas Manipulation seems to change the written rules of the world like healing magic. Learning one of these does not prevent you from learning the other which is good means I won't be shutting any doors for myself in the future. This is all good and well but the book claims that each person is born with a specific mana capacity meaning I can only perform a set number of spells per day. This isn't good I better start investigating what my limit is or otherwise I may end up hitting a wall causing me to give like I did so often. I think the quickest way to find this limit would be through learning the initial Conjuring spells.
Let's start with a simple conjuring spell like 'Kindle' which has the effect of forming a flame in your hand. So this is the spell my mother performed. The book says to say the following words 'Fire spirits I beseech thee, lend me thy strength, Kindle'. As soon as I said Kindle I could feel a warm feeling go from my chest to my outstretched hand. There it was tiny flame was in the palm of my hand. Putting the book on the floor I tried to touch it with my now free hand and sure enough to was fire. It's not very big though. POOF the flame disappeared what's this I feel really tired all of a sudden did that simple spell exhaust my mana reserves. Oh no this is bad I'm going to fall asleep. I've started and I seem to fallen at the first hurdle. Of course I have a tiny mana reserve. It seems I going to fall asleep now. I guess God must be testing me to see how I will react to this. Well God I will overcome this hurdle just you wait and see. With that final thought I fell asleep.
I have woken up and I am guessing my mana has returned to me. I gonna try a water spell the most basic one is called Droplet. "Water sprites I summon thee, grant me your ability, Droplet". Similar to kindle o could feel something travel from chest to my outstretched hand but this time I felt cooler and more flowing like it was actually water. Like the flame a small ball of water was created in my hand and proceeded to fire at the wall. On the wall it left a small indentation and a small wet patch on the wall. It seems to pack quite a punch given it left an indentation. Also surprisingly I'm not as tired as I was before. The spell supposedly required the same amount of mana as Kindle. Hmmm this is odd. Perhaps I should try again. Again a small ball of water formed in my hand and fired off at the wall once again. Now I'm starting to feel tired I'm probably going to fall asleep again. 
Okay maybe mana seemed to double as I could perform two spells meaning double the mana. So the assumption that everyone is born with an innate magic capacity maybe wrong or perhaps it becomes fixed when you become an adult like how your athletic ability will peak. As well as this it seems my mana increases from performing spells like levelling up in a video game. So I should improve on increasing my mana as much as possible before it becomes set. If the magic book was wrong about this is there anything else it may be wrong about. It says spells can only be performed with the incantation maybe its wrong about that as well. I know I don't have any evidence to back this up but it seems like it would be possible. I did feel a surge of mana go to my hand maybe if I try to recreate this I can perform the spell. Okay on top of my mastery of magic I wish to investigate my two hypothesises and see if they are true or not.
It's now the next day and I am trying to recreate Kindle without saying the incantation. As I expected it isn't going well. So far I look very stupid just stood with there with my eyes closed stood with my hand outstretched. God I hope no one is looking at me. Wait what's this I can feel a warm sensation in the palm of my hand. As I opened my eyes I saw it a flame. I had done it it was possible to use magic without an incantation. Maybe I should try it now with droplet. I again stood there like an idiot waiting. There it was that cool feeling I opened my eyes and I just caught the droplet hitting the wall. I can do it so all I need to do is learn how the incantation mana flow feels then I can recreate it. I have a lot of spells to perform.
Hello my name is Freya. I am the maid of this house. I work for Anya and Elis and they are good employers. They are kind and give me an above average pay. They hired my a month before the birth of their son Elias. During this month I got to know my employers. Elis was a kind man a talented swordsman who was the knight. However despite these initial worries everything seemed to be fine. He is a very inquisitive child and the moment he could crawl he was moving everywhere. It was unlike anything I had ever seen. He cried far less than any child I had seen before. It wasn't like he didn't cry but he only seemed to cry when he desperately needed something. As well as this when he came to feeding he seemed almost too eager to receive food from Anya. I must say watching it made me very uncomfortable. Upon see that I choose to observe the boy from a distance as he did creep me out slightly. I have noticed now that he seems to have taken a large interest in Anya's books collection. Whenever I see him he is looking at her books and seems to be muttering something under his breath. Whatever he was saying didn't sound like the common language. Perhaps this boy was possessed. I couldn't allow Anya's first son to be possessed so the next day I went to town and purchased what I required and proceed to perform and exorcism on him that night. The next day proved my efforts had been in vain as he was doing it again. Perhaps I was merely seeing something that wasn't there. Anyway since then Elias has continued to act like this but now it seems as if he is trying to learn magic. While cleaning his room I have seen the effects of droplet on his wall. Today though I saw something odd he was stood in his room with his hand outstretched and with his eyes closed. The strangest part was that he performed Kindle but I didn't hear a sound, he must have said it under his breath. Anyway I shall leave him to it.
"Elias, did you fall asleep?" Huh was I being woken up. I felt myself being cradled against my mother's chest. It felt warm and comforting. 
"Elias you really shouldn't be falling asleep in the middle of the day. What's the book you have been looking. What's this have you been looking at my magic textbook." Anya was now looking down at me with a big grin on her face. It was so wide it was almost unnerving. "Did you perhaps try saying one of these spells out loud?". I looked into my mum's chest not wanting to answer shying away from the truth. "You don't have to hide away you can tell me the truth I won't be angry."
"I did I'm sorry" As I said it I looked up and my mother was beaming with joy. Was what happened good. I now looked around the room and it seems like I had destroyed it. There were bits of rock around the room. I had smashed my window. It seems I had gotten to carried away in my effort to learn as many spells as possible. 
"Honey come up here Elias has learned magic all by himself he must be a genius.". With that my father emerged along with our maid, who's normally stoic face dropped at the sight of my room. My mother continued to say "We must get him a magic tutor or something as he did all this on his own. He clearly takes after my magic ability."
"Well that's all good and well but didn't we promise that I was going to train him with the sword if he was a boy and he is."
At this proclamation my mother started to get incredibly angry but lucky Freya having regained her composure interjected that I could do both. With this my parents instantly became lovely lovey once again as they always were when they were together. Thanks Freya.

So it looks like I will be learning the sword from my father and be gaining a magic tutor this should be interesting.

Given an unwanted second chance what will they do?

It was a cold and stormy night in the pack of the lost stars. On this cold and stormy something amazing was  about to happen. Chloe the alpha female was going to give birth. Hunter the alpha male was waiting outside the medical den. Hunter was worried about his mate and the puppies. The medical wolf Kindle told his apprentice Katie to calm down the alpha male so he can work with the alpha female. when Katie went outside the den to go calm down Hunter she saw him pasting back and forth Non-Stop. Katie said"calm down Hunter everything will be okay your mate and the puppies will be just fine." Hunter said" at a time like this how am I supposed to calm down." Katie said " you worrying and getting stressed out will not be good for your mental health,also for your mate as well."Hunter said" you're right Katie the more I stress the more my mate will stress so I must come down." Hunter then sat down and stared at the den opening. Katie sat down as well to keep Hunter calm and they both waited until the puppies would be delivered. 2 hours later Kindle came out of the medical den. Kendall said "alpha you may go in and see the alpha female." Hunter walked inside of the medical den to see Chloe laying down next to 2 puppies wrapped around with her tail. Hunter started to tear up and then he laid next to Chloe. Hunter looked at the puppies. what he saw was unbelievable two males. Chloe looked up at Hunter and asked "what should we name them?"Hunter said"I will name the two boys." Chloe said"okay."Hunter said"the brown and black one will be named Cole the brown and golden colored fur one will be named Leo."Chloe said"those are perfect names for them." Then the medical wolf Kindle came into the den. Kendall said"alpha you had three puppies and total congratulations." Hunter and Chloe said"what we only have two puppies cole and Leo,How is there another one?" Kendall said"I don't know alphas but the last one is a female." Hunter said"may we see her?" Kendall said"sure thing,right away alpha." Kendall went to the corner of the den and picked up the last puppy from out of a bed made of leaves. Kendall picked up the puppy with his mouth and walked over to Chole and placed her down. Chole and Hunter noticed something odd about the last puppy. she was all white with blue eyes. Chole said " her color dose not matter anymore I will name her crystal." Hunter said" very well then but I need to go now." Hunter kissed Chole,Leo and Cole then left the den. Chole notice that Hunter didn't kiss crystal and thought nothing much of it. This is where the story really begins.

So Pauls uncle called Charlie's grandparents.
"Hello, its Paul's uncle, I was wondering did Charlie's principal, called today and say what happened," said Paul's Uncle.
"Yes, sir, he told us what happened today at school," said the Grandfather.
"So what do we need to do, to get these kids on the same page, they are so much alike, they have no idea," said Paul's uncle.
"I know, we can make them do a quest where they go out for a night and spend time with each other and get to know each other a little better, maybe it will give them peace and closure of what took place that was told to them," said the Grandfather.
"Yes so when would you like to do that?" asked Paul's uncle.
"How about Friday night," said the Grandfather.
"Sounds good, I will tell Paul when he gets in from riding, and we will swing by Friday night," said Paul's uncle.
"Okay I will see you then," said Grandfather.
"Okay, bye," said Paul's uncle.
"Who was that darling?" asked Grandmother.
"It was Paul's uncle, he wants them both to go a quest Friday night to try and kindle their friendship and make peace with each other," said Grandfather.
"I think that is a great idea," said Grandmother.
"Where is Charlie?" asked Grandfather.
"In his room doing homework he is still upset about this whole thing, he just wants to be Paul's friend," said Grandmother.
"I know, I'll tell him the news," said Grandfather.
So the Grandfather walked up to his room and knocked on the door.
"Come in," said Charlie.
"Doing your homework?" asked Grandfather.
"Yes," said Charlie.
"May I stop you for a minute to talk to you?" asked Grandfather.
"Sure you can," said Charlie putting his pen down.
"I talked with Paul's uncle on the phone just a minute ago, we are going to put you both on a quest, Friday night, we are going to drop you off and you guys are going to be alone for one night and then in then in the morning we will come back and get you, this is for both of you. Especially for Paul, he needs to come to terms, that you both suffered," said Grandfather.
"Okay, I understand, I hope it will kindle our relationship as friends, I hope he comes to terms and peace in his heart," said Charlie.
"Me too grandson, me to," said Grandfather.
"It is settled then," said Grandfather walking out of Charlie's room. Charlie went back to doing his homework.
Back in Pauls's place, Paul comes walking in.
"Hey how was the ride?" asked Paul's uncle.
"It was okay," said Paul.
"Hey, sit down for a bit, I need to talk to you, for a bit," said Paul's uncle.
"Okay," said Paul.
"Charlie's Grandfather and I talked on the phone today, and we both have decided to put both of you on a quest Friday night," said Paul's uncle.
"What, why," angered Paul.
"You need it Paul, and so does he, you both are alike even though you may not see it Paul, but you are, you both suffered tragically at the same time, you both were taken away and brought back, and now it's time to put the past in the past and leave it there, stop blaming it on Charlie you and him both had nothing to do with what happened, this is a time for you two to kindle your friendship and be at peace with each other, you two are still learning the ways here on the reservation," said Paul's uncle.
Paul did not say anything, he just looked at the floor, he was not too pleased but deep down in the cold hardened heart of his, he knew he had to do it. So he got up and went into his room and his uncle went back to work on the radio.
Back at Charlie's house Charlie finished his homework and put his pen down and walked towards the window and stared out. He was thinking what would happen to them if they did go on there quest, would Paul try to beat him since nobody is going to be there with them just them too. Or would Paul come to the understanding of friendship and putting the past behind him. All these things were going through Charlie's head.
"He is going to use that time to beat me up," said Charlie.
So Charlie went to the kitchen to eat dinner before they went to sleep.
"So are you are for tomorrow night?" asked Grandmother.
"Not really, I'm worried about this whole thing," said Charlie.
"You are, why?" asked Grandfather.
"I'm worried that Paul might try to beat me up or hurt me since nobody is going to be there, it's just going to be us," said Charlie.
"You don't need to worry about that, remember he is just now learning our ways, and I've taken you up there before and showed you around and the caves, he has not been there before, so he has no idea what is there, so I don't think he will try anything since he needs you to help him, because he has never been in that area before," said Grandfather.
"I hope you are right Grandfather," said Charlie.
"Don't worry about it, clear mind and you will be alright," said Grandmother.
"Okay," said Charlie finishing up eating his dinner.
So they went to bed. The next morning, Charlie was up with his Grandfather and started feeding the horses and Grandmother was cooking breakfast. Amitola started walking up the driveway.
"Morning Charlie," said Amitola.
"Morning, how are you doing," said Charlie.
"Good, how about yourself?" asked Amitola.
"Good, I herd what is going to happen tonight," said Amitola.
"I know," said Charlie.
"Are you worried?" asked Amitola.
"A little," said Charlie.
"Remember grandson, clear your mind," said Grandfather.
"Yes sir," said Charlie going back to feeding the horses.
"Will you join us for breakfast?" asked Grandfather.
"Sure, thank you," said Amitola.
Amitola walks inside and helps Grandmother set the table and get breakfast ready. Charlie and Grandfather walk up to the house and walks inside.
"Don't forget to wash your hands," said Grandmother.
Grandfather and Charlie washed there hands at the sink and sat down at the table and started eating.
At Paul's house, they two were sitting at the table eating dinner.
"So are you ready," said Paul's uncle.
"No, I don't know why I have to go on this stupid trip," said Paul.
"It is for you and Charlie both, to come together to work as a team and to look after one another, to kindle your friendship, you both are kids like ash and flame, you both come from the same fire," said Paul's uncle.
Paul just rolled his eyes. When it was starting to get dark, Paul and his uncle got in the truck and drove to Charlie's place.
They all go into the pickup and drove off.

A young boy's life has changed forever, as a baby he was removed from the reservation because his parents were killed in a house fire. When he got older, he was returned to the reservation into the hands of his grandparents, who raised him and taught him his traditions.

4 FEBRUARY, THURSDAY, DINNER

I came out of the shower in a really good mood. I felt magnanimous enough to even consider memorizing my lines for the fight scene tomorrow, I would had too, except that I had homework. Homework took up a lot of time that could be spent on other things. Like thinking about how to reprise my Romeo role... and reading all the notes and reports my betas had painstakingly lined up in a kindle for me. 

Yes, a kindle had magically appeared on my desk. It sat neatly, mint out of the box. I thought at first it was a tablet when I saw the white screen placed on my desk. Maybe Ki's? But when I picked it up, I realised it was a Kindle. My Kindle. This was because the gadget was labelled with a serial number and named "Alpha Sam's Kindle."  

So this was a kindle. The closest thing to real paper the box said. But it was not paper. It didn't even smell remotely like paper. 

But the documents were numbered, dated, and filed in PDF and there were already more than a hundred of them, so I guess this was my part in saving the trees. My files on the dresser had been burgeoning, and it's not like there was any space to add more. I guess digital files was a necessary change. 

And even though the documents inside were all Harvey's meticulous compilation according to my request earlier, Ben's fingerprints were all over the new gadget, well figuratively anyway because hahaha, Ben would never mar a perfect piece of technology with his fingerprints now, would he? Hahaha. Just saying.

Wow, that's a lot of documents. I opened the first one. Suddenly homework looked a lot easier. Boo... I mean not Boo! I mean "boo... so much homework", not Boo the wolf. Last thing I need now was my dark wolf to show up. 

I tensed and waited for the snide remark, or an evil aura, or something, but nothing. Whew. 

Outside my room was mostly quiet. Killion was cooking, I could smell something delicious happening. Every now and then one of the betas might ask something, and the other would answer. Ben had left and then returned, and then left again, and then returned... And then left. He hasn't come back after that. 

Home had a different vibe with three betas instead of Mum and Savy. 

I managed to finish my homework, but was still struggling through the first document when I heard the front door. 

"Luna is here." Ben intoned. 
"Savy is here!" Savy laughed.
"Sabbie is here!" The human copied. Cute, real cute. (To be read sacarstically). 

Mum laughed, "Too cute!" (Without sacarsam). 

I smelled fried chicken, so I went outside to investigate. Indeed there was fried chicken. Ben was putting it down on the dining table. He also had some bags and a couple of large boxes under his arm. Harvey was shifting more boxes to the side. They looked like cardboard suitcases.

Seriously? Our apartment had been a squeeze so far. Now with all the people and boxes and shopping bags, it was a little more than I could take.
"What's all this?" I asked.
"We're setting up the Future Alpha Office here." Harvey said.
In what space were they planning to do this? I stole a quick glance into Ki's room. There were boxes stacked all against wall from floor to ceiling. The bottom bunk was filled with boxes like some kind of puzzle game too. 

"Don't worry about work now, Sam." Mum said, "Come see what we bought!"

Mum and Savy took turns showing off the cute outfits they had bought for the little human. They've even gotten matchy sister clothes and accessories. We've got three sweat shirts that had one word each "Best" "Friends" "Forever". Savy seemed to not notice that this was really cheesy. At least, based on the size of the sweatshirts, I would be "Best".

We also had matching back packs! This I could not believe. Savy didn't even like back packs. The bags had geometric prints all over. I guess mine was the one in different shades of blue triangles. "We can use them for school. They're lightweight and waterproof." Savy informed me, "And have a special pocket at the back for a small laptop or a file. Plus a side pocket was a bottle." 
Savy dug in some other shopping bag to produce three bottles, naturally in matching colors. She slotted the red bottle into her red bag. 
Finally she added, "They were on sale."
Okay...

"Where are we going to fit all this?" I worried at the small mountain of blue, red, and purple stuff in the living room. I swear my dresser was already packed to the brim. Ki had even folded everything into little Marie Kondo squares. 

"Oh dear." Mum seemed to realize the situation, "Ki, when are the boxes arriving?" 

"There was slight delay, but we are expecting them tomorrow morning." Ki popped his head out of the kitchen to answer. 

"Well, I suppose that should give us enough time." Mum decided. 

"I've scheduled for some of the warriors to come over in the afternoon to start shiftig the boxes over, Luna." Ben informed Mum. 

Mum nodded, clearly relieved, "Thank you, boys. I don't think it would have been possible to move everything in one day without you." 

Then Mum turned to me, "Isn't that great, Sam?" 

"Uh, Yeah." I nodded blankly. What's going on?  

"Originally, your dad and I planned to move in this weekend, but Ki reminded us that your friends were coming on Saturday. Thankfully, the boys helped me reschedule everything!" 

"I can't believe this time tomorrow night, I'll have my own room again!" Savy said happily. 

"My room is like a princess room!" The little human piped in. 

"Wait till you see your room, Sam! The golden clam shell bed! OMG." Savy had to cover her mouth to keep from cackling. 

"Your room looks like in a picture book." The little human informed me. 

Uh huh. 

Oh! Wait, we are moving back home? Wait, we rebuilt our entire home in 2 weeks? How was that even possible? Maybe I fell asleep while reading the kindle and this was all a dream. Wait, maybe the kindle was also a dream. Wait, what if Mate putting on his bangle in real life was also a dream? 

Oh damn it! When did my dream start? And when would it end? 

What the hell was going on here? Can someone press the pause and explain what was happening around here? 

The front door opened. Apparently, just like in reality, there was no pause button in this dream. 
"Alpha is here." Beta Lucas announced as he stepped in with Dad and Beta Gerald.
"Sorry, I brought work home again." Dad joked, nodding at his betas who bowed their greeting politely to Mum.
"Don't worry, there's enough for everyone." Mum kissed Dad on the cheek and smiled her welcome to Beta Lucas and Beta Gerald, "We better start dinner now though, the girls have Thursday Night Training." 

"The betas have training too." Savy added. 
"Ah yes, tonight is Ben's first session, isn't it?" Dad asked. 
"Yes, Alpha." Ben nodded seriously as he put a few plates on the coffee table. Our dining table wasn't large enough for everyone, so the betas would be eating in the living area.

Calendar! Phone! Where is my phone?

"Sam, is your Luna not joining us for dinner?" Beta Lucas asked when we had seated ourselves around the table. 

Who? 

"Luna Bell had a meeting to attend, he'll return after dinner." Ki answered on my behalf. He put down the last of the plates and then joined Harvey and Ben around the coffee table. 

"Alpha Sam, please accept my congratulations on the new alliance with Gold Packland's Silver Moon Pack." Beta Gerald said. 

"A new alliance?" Mum asked. 

Dad nodded, "Our daughter had initiated a new alliance with the Silver Moon Pack. It looks very promising." 

"Well, it was to be expected of our Sam. Don't forget, she was the one who successfully enabled the merger between Night Leaf and Morning Light. Who knows how many donkey years we spent puttering on it!" Beta Lucas said, "She even brought home the Lorent pack with it!" 

"You should have heard the youngsters in the school during Alpha Silas' memorial." Beta Lucas told Beta Gerald, "Those youngsters nearly fell asleep at my speech, but the moment Sam got on stage, they all woke up." 

"I was told she received rousing support from the students." Beta Gerald said. 

"Not just the students." Beta Lucas boasted, "The oldies too. I felt the whole auditorium shake when they shouted." 

Beta Lucas pumped his fist into the air and tried to re-enact the scene, "Our loyalty to the Alpha Princess!" 

"YO!" Suddenly the three guys from the coffee table shouted back, while fisting the air. 

I blinked. 

"Yo!" The little human copied the action. So cute. Actually, it was cute, her little hand punching the air like that... But pretend I was still using a sacarstic tone.  

"Our Future Alpha never fails to amaze me." Beta Gerald marveled aloud, "The annexing of the Ciara Coven could be quite the legendary story to tell my grandchildren one day." 

Hint hint Harvey. Your dad wants grandchildren. 

"Willow did say that report sounded like a story from the Colored Mountains." Beta Lucas said. Too bad they'd never hear Henry's grandfather's story. Now that was legend. 

"I would not have thought it even possible." Beta Gerald said, "It's unimaginable." 

"Well, you don't have to imagine, Gerald." Beta Lucas boasted, "We received our first tribute from the Coven today. It's really happening." 

"And now she topped it off with an alliance with Silver Moon! Indeed our Alpha Sam has no limits!" Beta Gerald praised.

I'm pretty sure I had many limits though. A limit to my endurance, to my time, to my strength... In fact, the limit to my intelligence was at the moment, blindingly obvious.

Okay, here's what I'm thinking must have happened: 

I fell asleep in the car on the way to Henry's and am now dreaming. This was all a dream. 

OR: I've stepped into an alternative dimension or Twilight zone where everything around me plays out in fast forward. 

OR: I hit my head in the shower and now have some kind of amnesia and became suddenly stupid. 

"It looks like us old guards can soon hang up our arms and retire." Beta Lucas concluded smugly. 

What should I do? I'm feeling so stupid right now, I'm not sure if there was a way to feel stupider.

"Well, today a new alliance, tomorrow saving an old pack from ruin. Sam, your Uncle Louis asked me to meet him. It would be good if you joined me." Dad said. 

"Ah yes!" Beta Lucas sprung into action, whipping out his phone, "What's your schedule look like this weekend, Sam?" 

"It's full, Dad." Ben called out from the coffee table.

"What do you mean full?" Beta Lucas challenged without looking up from his screen. 

Ben took a deep breath, "Tomorrow is school, moving back to the Alpha's house, and setting up the Future Alpha office. Leadership Candance at 9pm. Saturday is breakfast with the gang, Lycan study group, and then she is expecting nine guests in the afternoon, including Silver Moon's Alpha, Mountain Mist's Beta, and four humans..." 

Beta Lucas cut him off, "Saturday night?" 

"The Dungeon Cleaning Party is happening to late." Ben told him, "All the youths in Morning Light and Night Leaf are coming to party with Alpha Sam." 

"It's the party of the year!" Ki chipped with his usual bright smile. 

"Sunday morning is breakfast with the pack, and then Alpha duties." 

"So Sunday lunch before Alpha duties or dinner would work?" Beta Lucas asked. 

"Yeah, if you want to deal with a sleep deprived Sam, sure." Ben answered.

"I think it might be better to let Sam get some rest." Dad immediately decided. 

"She could nap before her Alpha duties and we can schedule the meeting after dinner." Beta Lucas suggested. 

Ben checked his phone then, "Harv, you're on accompany duty."

"Noted." Harvey acknowledged. 

"But this hardly leaves her any time to rest for the next week!" Mum protested. 
"It doesn't give her any time to do her homework either." Savy pointed out. 

Everyone looked at me. I'm the Alpha. I can take this. At least I think that should be the right answer. 

"Yeah, okay."

I think I'm just starting to get the hang of school. From navigating school halls, new friends, vampires, and school clubs... 
Back home it should have been the usual drill, but things started shifting. And I urm...might have been messing around where I shouldn't.

I had to miss a couple of school days this week due to my ah, long term bout of "anemia". It's been pretty intense at home. My alpha position was challenged, rogues burnt down our home, I rescued my first fight dog, discovered the Lorent's secret oracle, almost rescued my mate...and accidentally stumbled into my Alpha Dad's secret.


VOL 4
My worlds collide as some members from my pack come to my school to sell concert tickets. And when Grandpa Alpha shocked us all by dying, my dad's family comes together to pay their last respects at the Night Forest Pack. 


VOL 5
It's February and the Vampire Queen is celebrating her birthday. Would Rebel's plan to escape work out? Meanwhile, I'm stuck in school dealing with high school drama, an evolving wolf, and a new human sister. In the Red Packlands, war nearly breaks out. (This might have been a very little bit my fault.)

It's the week of Valentine's Day, but I've got a highschool play, Lorent drama, Vampire slaying training, and an underground army to deal with first. And then warlock weather threw an extended snowstorm at us. The whole of Green Packlands goes into lockdown - but what about Valentine's Day?

Exams are a week away, and it feels like my time at Winderhill is really coming to a close. I'm trying to be a good student, but there are paparazzi camped outside my school, I ran with rogues (I'm shocked too), Maria just had to enter her dark cycle in school...My life is too exciting to study for exams.

VOL 8
It's exam week, but I've got far greater problems brewing at home. The prophecies are merging. River's stone had unlocked warlock trouble, the rogue king has moved in, and then there's Uncle Louis' economical problems... one at a time. Just let me survive Code Black and figure out what's going on at Heller's first, and I'm sure everything else will work out somehow.

Chapter 42
 We halted a few feet away from the door, he took a hold of my shoulders, "When are you going to tell Alex, Mark, and Shane?"
 I looked up at him confused, "Tell them? About what?"
 He looked down at me with raised eyebrows, "What else is there to tell them?"
 I sighed, he was talking about my gender, "I don't know."
 William sighed, "You do know that the longer you drag out this lie the worse it will be when you do tell them, right?"
 I nodded, sighing, "But what if they think differently about me? What if they don't want to be friends with me anymore?"
 William looked down at me, "Avery, I'm still your friend, aren't I? Almost nothing has changed in our relationship."
 I sighed, "Your right." 
 I sighed, "I might tell Alex, I have to spend a week with him, so that  might be a good time to tell him, right?"
 William nodded, "Should be fine, at least your telling him. You should think about telling Mark and Shane after Alex. They would be a little hurt but they would still be your friends."
 I sighed, "Yeah, I should tell them. Hey, William? Am I a bad friend for not telling them about this?"
 William sighed, "Yes, you are being a bad friend, imagine if you found out one of your best friends lied to you about something very important. How would you feel about it?"
 I bit my lip, he was right, I would be a little hurt that my friend didn't trust me enough to tell me and that he kept it from the whole time.
 I sighed, "Your right. I really should tell them."
 William nodded, "Good, they are your friends, they won't judge you...much."
 I nodded, "Yeah, I really should tell them."
 William patted my head, "Okay, now that I have talked to you, let's go back inside."
 I was a little dumbstruck, did he just pat my head? I went back to the club room. 
 Alex asked to practice with me.
 After the club was over, I went home to tell Adam about my discussion with Willaim and that I wanted to tell Alex while going on tour with him for a week.
 I opened the door, "Hey, Ad-" Oh, crap. His friends are here, I cleared my throat, "Hey Avery, I'm home."
 Adam smiled, "Hey bro, welcome home, now I know what you're going to ask, there is food in the fridge." He pointed to the kitchen.
 I smiled at the girls, giving them a wave, before quickly walking into the kitchen and grabbing food from the fridge, I closed the fridge door with my hip because I was too lazy to put my food down first.
 I was eating my dinner when Adam yelled, "Adam, can you please come here for a minute?"
 I sighed, thinking to my dinner, I'll see you later, my love, wait for me.
 I walked to where Adam was, "What's up?"
 Adam pointed to his friends, "1-10 how pretty would you rate these girls?"
 I shrugged, "Your all 10s?"
 Adam nodded, "See? I told you, you guys are all beautiful, even my brother says so."
 The girls smiled, "Yeah, I guess you were right."
 I asked, "Can I go back to my food now?"
 Adam nodded, "Yeah."
 I hurried back to my love, oh finally, I'm back together with my food.
 I finished my food 15 minutes later and quickly hurried to my room. I shut the door and changed my clothes to my regular t-shirt and shorts.
 I grabbed my Kindle and flopped onto my bed, I turned it on and started reading, after what seemed like minutes, I heard the girls leave, I checked the time, wow, 2 hours have passed, time flies when you are sucked into a book.
 I got up and stretched, "Uggghhhggghhh, ooooh, that felt good." I grabbed my clothes and went to the bathroom, I took a shower and brushed my teeth, I said good night to Adam and walked to my room.
 I grabbed my Kindle again, it was 7:42 and read for a few hours.
 When I finally felt sleepy it was 11:39, I sighed and put my Kindle away. I closed the lights and fell asleep.
 And thus, ended my day.

The Weird Life Of Avery Bane is about a young woman who is 13 years old, in her Freshman year of high school. She is attending school at Princeton High in place of Adam Darkwaters (aka her doppelganger). Avery is to switch identities with Adam Darkwaters so she can attend Princeton High in place of Adam Darkwaters, while Adam attends her school, Evergreen High. Avery is to continue Adam's family tradition at Princeton High, where every male of the Darkwaters family, starting from Adam's great-great-grandfather, had to become The Captain of the Martial Arts Club.

Greetings to all my readers, I wish to say something to you.

Firstly, I want to apologise to all of you. All those who have found this fanfic to be enjoyable, I truly apologise to you for not so inconsistent in writing the chapters of this fanfic or responding to you all. There have been multiple reasons for why I was inconsistent but it doesn't change the fact. I hope you forgive me.

Honestly speaking, I had started writing this fanfic with nothing concrete in my mind. I was just fed up of fanfic in those days that I felt that I must write something better than fanfics with those pussy main characters and all. I didn't expect you all to like this much, however, much can be contributed to the fact that it was one of the first Against the Gods Fanfic here. Nevertheless, I am very glad for all the support you have shown me.

Even before I had started writing this fanfic, I had been writing a novel. It isn't a lewd novel I guess haha... It's something I have been working on since 2-3 years. Its outlook is also not like that of an official novel but still, I have done all I can do alone, writing the novel, editing it and everything. Some friends helped me, but eventually, I completed it by myself.

I am from India, and in 3rd year of my Engineering. I guess I found my passion too late as I had already joined the college and wanted to graduate before working actively in the writing field. However, near the end of my first year, I had already started writing this Fanfic. Perhaps it was because of my lust of popularity or because I also wanted to write a Douluo Dalu fanfic, I started writing about it too. I guess I chewed off more than I could bite. Writing three novels at the same time was far too taxing. Especially when I had to give out regular chapters. I even started using p.atreon to collect money for advance chapters because I wanted to prove to my parents that I could earn through writing as well. My parents were convinced but I was seriously exhausted after a month or two. I couldn't go anywhere and spent all my time on discord or writing.

After that, I was interested in a girl I met online. She was from the same country as me. I was infatuated with her. The time talking to her was so relaxing that I slowly found myself getting out of writing. I slowly reduced my time in writing and started to talk with her more. However, she soon found someone else she liked so I got a little angry. We had a quarrel and I was pretty much pathetically depressed. I know I was in the wrong but I still couldn't control my emotions at that time. I was quite pathetic, I guess. Haha...

Anyway, I am out of depression. I had started watching animes again because of a bit of my free time and study for engineering. (I pretty much failed in quite a few subjects in a few semesters so I had to reappear in those exams again. Had to study all that too...) In a bit of my free time, I read some novels. I tried to improve my writing style and felt that it has improved a lot. During that time, I kept my mind focused on my main novel and kept everything aside. I just wrote something now and then for fun. It was to try out whether it would look appropriate in my main novel or not.

I have said it before but I guess I will say it again, I wish to turn this story into a manga story. I know I am not from Japan, it's probably a little preposterous for me to think of making manga and publishing it. Even after that, I have little hope of gaining popularity. However, I still want to make a manga. I am going to hire an artist and discuss a long term plan with him to ensure that it would come to reality even if it costs me a lot.

Currently, I have released my novel on the Kindle (Amazon), I won't say you must buy it. In fact, I urge you not to buy it if you do not like it. That will be your own decision. I just want you to read the free preview available on kindle, just tell me if you like it or not. I just want to know a bit of your viewpoint if you will like the story or not... I haven't asked anyone known to me to review the novel because the first few reviews I wish for are the true reviews. I just want to know whether my story is worth reading or not and let you be the judge of this fact.
