The news of Lockhart's cowardly escape spread through the castle like wildfire, girls who were previously besotted with the blonde defence professor were now shooting betrayed expressions at him.
Harry's plan would work flawlessly with the population of Hogwarts already willing to believe that Lockhart was now the bane of all existence.

*** Hogwarts Library, later

Harry was in the traditions section of the library, searching where one would find histories on the oldest pureblood families.
Harry opened one of the biggest tomes in the section titled, "Ye Olde Families" and searched under the letter P, surprised at the number of families under the list that had died out.

Harry flicked through the pages excitedly, finally coming to the substantial section on the Potters.
"The Potters are one of the oldest Pureblood families, tracing their bloodline in England all the way back to the Pre-Merlin eras. In recent times, the family has come under more liberal leadership, starting with 17thcentury rebel Pureblood Thomas Potter who used the significant weight of the family to pass the first of many muggle-rights laws and amendments passed by the Potter family in the most recent centuries. The Potter was, at one point, the richest family in magical Britain but in recent years their fortune has dwindled, losing millions of galleons in the wars against Dark Lord Grindelwald and Dark Lord Voldemort, under the leadership of Charles and later James Potter. However, the family still retains a large amount of their wealth, including their mansion, hailed to be the grandest building in Europe in the 18th Century, the peak of the Potters."
He had a mansion?
Harry's mind went reeling.
He knew the Potters were a pureblood family, but he expected that he would know if he owned a mansion.
British laws did not allow use of the family vault until one became of age, but the mansion was traditionally handed to the oldest family member as soon as the previous family member died, so Harry would technically have owned the place, and it's house-elves since he was one year old.
He would have to write a letter to Gringotts, Dumbledore as his magical guardian should technically have told him about the mansion when he joined the wizarding world at 11 years of age, but McGonagall mentioned that Dumbledore didn't want him to know all about his family yet.
Harry assumed that this was because Dumbledore didn't want him getting drunk on his power and buying into the pureblood nonsense, and while Harry still believed that Dumbledore has stuck his nose where it didn't belong once again, he grudgingly agreed that Dumbledore's reasons were probably for his good.

*** Next day, Gringotts

Dear Teller Griphook,
May your enemies blood taste the ground,
It has come to my attention that the Potter family has a mansion and that by standard british law, I am now in possession of it. Since all Potter holdings are managed by Gringotts, I was wondering whether I could get the location and the list of wards on the Potter manor,
May the gold of your enemies fill your vaults,
Your customer, Heir Potter.
Griphook read the letter approvingly, not only was the Potter heir courteous, he was also intelligent.

*** Next morning, Hogwarts

Harry opened the letter addressed to him, hoping for an answer.

The Potter manor is protected by a Tutela Fidelius, a variation on the fidelius charm which is anchored to the house itself, the knowledge can only be transferred to those whose names are written in the ward book.
The Potter Manor is located at itself.

A wave of old memories of a grand house flooded into Harry's head, memories of a grand renaissance style house returning to his head.
Within a moment, Harry knew what his next plan was.
He had to get to Potter manor.

*** Lockhart's class

Lockhart was putting more bravado into his latest class than he had before, trying to make up for his lost reputation, he didn't seem to blame it on Harry, which was perfect for Harry's plan.
"Sir, a lot of students want to learn how to duel… do you think you could handle a duelling club, maybe that will let people know that you truly know your stuff." Harry suggested innocently.
Lockhart seemed to brighten at an idea to regain his reputation.
"Great idea, Harry! I think that a duelling club would be a great idea."
"And sir, maybe after the first class, we could hold a duelling competition, separated by grade level of course, and the winner would challenge you."
Lockhart looked like he couldn't keep up with Harry's train of thought so Harry elaborated.
"Like the first through third years duel and the fourth-fifth years duel and the sixth and seventh years duel, then the three winners can challenge you to see how they stack up against real talent, of course, that would be you, sir." Harry said, making sure that there was no way for Lockhart to back out of the competition without seeming weak.
"Of-Course." Lockhart stuttered out, "We can hold the first meeting tomorrow!" he said, smiling weakly.

*** Next evening, Hogwarts

The Possessed student walked down the hall to the first floor girls bathroom.
Down the chute went the student.
The basilisk was waiting as instructed.
The serpentine voice of Voldemort spoke in parseltongue.
~Today, we shall hunt!~

Harry sighed as the rotund man finally stood up from his seat as his stop arrived. After a ten-hour shift at the hospital, finally having a seat to his ride home felt like a godsend. It had been a rather difficult day too. Having thirteen code blues in his ER in a span of two hours and then requiring to do an emergency Coronary artery bypass on a woman with a piece of nail file jutting out of her airway had not made it easy to hang onto the grab rail with one arm the whole way to his stop.

Tired, he slumped onto the seat the man had just vacated with a muffled groan. Straightening up for a moment to pop his back, his green eyes caught sight of his fellow passenger sitting beside him looking out the window.

It was a kid.

Frowning, he looked at the back seat and saw two sulking teenagers looking forlornly at the empty condom dispenser beside the exit door listening to music that even with their earphones, was still very much audible. Shaking his head in mild amusement, he turned to his side and saw a rather amorous couple busying themselves in an attempt to count each other's teeth with their tongues.

Cringing a bit at the languid display of affection, he stopped his search. Nobody in his general vicinity looked like they were here with a kid, if he discounted a creepy looking old man who gave him an equally creepy smile when he saw him looking his way, which he did.

Harry finally shrugged. There probably was someone who had brought the kid with them. There probably hadn't been enough space to sit together. This route that most buses took usually went through Atlantic Avenue and Devonshire street and both were known to house working folks and most office buildings in Boston. Even the hospital he worked at, Massachusetts General, was smack dab in the middle of it too. So for most of the working class, the bus was the best way to get there.

Leaving the issue at that, Harry took a relaxing breath. He already had quite a few things on his mind tonight without adding another minor mystery to the list.

Tonight marked the four year anniversary of his arrival.

A day that brought mixed feelings in him whenever he thought about it.

Like clockwork, every year on October 22, his dreams returned to the place he had left behind.

He wasn't particularly looking forward to sleep in his bed tonight. There was no doubt in his mind that their faces would return in his dreams. Calling him back.

And despite how much he missed his world, missed what few friends he had left, he had made peace with the fact that he would never be able to return back to the Wizarding world. There was nothing left for him to go back to. After the war, despite everything returning to how it had been, the one thing that mattered to him the most, the magic that had brought him back, it was as though, it was lost to him in that place.

He remembered his monotonous life and the struggles that had followed the years after Voldemort's defeat.

It had been constricting. Like he was being suffocated, slowly…painfully.

And so he had decided to leave. Hoping that the next great adventure would take him to his loved ones who waited for him on the other side.

It had seemed like a good idea then. Take a plunge to the Veil of Death. Hear the whispering voices. Find among them the one voice that he remembered distinctly well.

The soft murmur of his name on her lips. The love with which she called him to her.

'Harry…'

He could never the time he had heard her whisper his name in the Forbidden Forest when he had called her shade and his father's and others who had died before their time.

The memory of her, floating above the dry grass, looking at him with only love in her green eyes, stretching her hand to touch him even though she knew she couldn't…it had done much to erase the past choes of her screaming and pleading voice as she bargained for his life with a monster.

But when he had taken the plunge, all he had felt was darkness and echoing silence that would have driven him mad had the veil not spat him out on to the lonely streets of Dorchester.

It had been a long ride since, one that had involved shocking revelations of learning that this world had no magic in it whatsoever. And more so upon discovering that yes, even his magical core, large though it was, would one day run out of gas – so to speak – with no way for it to gain more magic.

It had taken some time for that realisation to set in.

And then after six months of moping around and fending for himself, he had decided to do something that he knew he was good at.

Helping people.

Having had completed his training, that of a Journeyman Healer just before coming here, he knew that despite the lack of potions and other tools, all he needed to heal people was a willingness to learn how to. And he had that in spades.

Two years shadowing a brilliant but lesser-known surgeon in the small clinic in Boston streets as his intern and a whole lot of studying with judicious use of his occlumency and he was prepared.

Getting a degree and medical license for practising medicine, albeit with more than a little prevarication of details to the relevant parties and a little magical help, had been somewhat hard, but he had thoroughly embedded himself within the system. Though it had taken him more than a week to understand which system he should be embedded in the first place.

Finally, two years after his arrival, one Harry James Potter had found himself with a job as an ER specialist in Boston General, healing people, one at a time.

And if he was being honest with himself, he liked the freedom this new world gave him.

Here, he wasn't the chosen one, or the boy-who-lived, or even the man-who-conquered. Here the only expectation of him was to do the best he could to save the people that came through his ER and give them a new life.

He liked the fact that he could be anonymous here. Well, as much as he could be given the muggles and their tendencies to peel off one's anonymity just to satisfy their curiosity.

He had lost count how many times he'd had to confound people whom he had saved using what little magic he could use because instead of thanking him, they had decided to sue him for doing the voodoo shit on them.

But that was life. Dealing. Sometimes dealing with stupidity.

But the point was that here, he was simply Harry. Or rather Doctor Harry Potter.

Harry closed his eyes having had enough of the repetitive thoughts that cropped up every year.

A shuffling noise gained his attention as he saw the kid beside him was attempting to turn a page of his rather large book using what little space he had.

"Here," Harry said sliding a little to give the kid a little more space to read properly.

"Thanks," the boy replied smiling.

It was an odd happy smile too, one that Harry hadn't seen much of today and that made his own lips tug upwards, even if a little.

"What book are you reading?" he asked, genuinely curious seeing such a large thing in his little hands.

"This…it's more than just a book." The boy replied, his smile dimming a bit.

"Oh?" he arched a brow. "How so?"

The boy paused, thinking for a moment as he looked at him with his hazel eyes before he returned to his reading without saying another word.

Harry shook his head ruefully at the boy's precociousness. "A'right little man. Keep your secrets." He said with a chuckle and closed his eyes, resting them a bit.

It was after six more stops had passed and the bus was almost empty, did Harry's eyes opened. His stop was next and there were only two more ladies left in the bus beside him and the kid, a girl listening to the iPod on her wrist and an older lady who was looked his way and smiled politely.

Frowning again, he looked at the kid. "Your grandma?" he asked, discreetly pointing at the older woman.

The boy looked up from his book and turned to see where he was pointing before he shook his head. "No," he said simply.

Harry blinked at the short reply. The kid was being evasive on purpose. But if the older lady wasn't with him and it didn't really look like the other girl was either, then the boy was travelling by himself.

How very odd. Not to mention dangerous.

Harry had seen first hand how cruel, Boston's streets could be. There was a knife fight in every street and most people who had worse done to them than a simple stab to the gut ended up in his ER.

Harry had no wish to see the kid anywhere near his workplace as his work.

With some seriousness to his tone, he decided to nudge the kid to give up some info. "So you're travelling by yourself?"

"Yes," the boy replied without even looking away from his book.

"A bit dangerous, isn't it?"

"I have to go see my…someone," the boy replied, tripping over some words in an obvious attempt to be evasive.

"That's all fine and good, little man, but at this time of the night? Important business?" he probed, little worry starting to tinge his tone.

The boy finally turned to look at Harry and looked him straight in the eye. "Look, I have to do this. And tonight might be the best chance I get. So, please don't try to stop me. It's…It's important." The boy lowered his head back to his book and muttered something that caught Harry's interest. "Many lives depend on it."

That piqued Harry's interest.

The boy seemed smart enough. He had the look of someone who had seen a bit much that someone his age probably should have. Not necessarily bad, but certainly something that had made him grow up a little faster than necessary.

Harry was somewhat happy and a little sad that he could see a small part of himself in the boy.

Headstrong. Defiant. And yet, just doing the right thing.

"Alright. I won't stop you." Harry said with sincerity. "Only…" he paused gaining the boy's attention, "…if you tell me the truth about why you're here alone. Deal?" he asked lifting his hand for a shake.

The boy looked at him with a small frown and a crease on his small forehead, blinking. A while passed before the boy agreed and nodded. "Deal," he said and then continued in a slightly higher voice, "but only if you don't call me a liar. I don't like being called that." He scowled, possibly remembering something from his past.

"I can do that," Harry replied agreeably and nudged his shoulder with the boy.

The boy looked at him once more before he nodded and shook his hand.

"My name's Harry," he introduced.

"Henry," the boy replied, "Henry Mills…"

Chapter 1

The Day the Demon Was Reborn

Slowly, as the days and weeks and months crawled by, it became easier to think. It felt less and less like he slept the entire day away, but for someone so used to burning the midnight oil, this existence had proven beyond infuriating. His motor skills were shot but recovering. He could barely remember things. The less said of his emotional control, the better. But on the upside, he could finally string a few words together without screaming in frustration. Words had always been chief amongst his powers, and he wanted them back.
It came as a strange relief that his brain had finally developed enough for him to contemplate how much he hated being a toddler. If this was his punishment for all of the bad things he'd done in the name of a better future…well, it could be worse. He would drive himself mad at this rate, true, but someday – he hoped – he would grow out of it.
As some consolation, however, he had doting parents who weren't monsters. He appreciated that, he admitted, even if their circumstances were less than desirable. From what he'd overheard, the Potters were in hiding from a terrorist with a silly pseudonym. When he'd first put it together, the irony had sent him into a laughing fit.
But the real surprise was magic. Wherever he'd ended up, magic was real. He was a wizard. With his geass gone, his only power at the moment seemed to be destruction fuelled by embarrassing emotional tantrums, but still. Perhaps he would be a healer in this life. He hoped he didn't have to sort whatever war raged in this world out himself.
Regardless, those were problems for later. Right now, Lelouch only needed to figure out how to convince his new father he had absolutely no interest in riding brooms.

From downstairs came the cry of James Potter. "Lily, take Harry and go! It's him! Go! Run! I'll hold him off–"
Peter Pettigrew! Lelouch growled in his own mind. He committed the traitor's name to memory, determined not to lose it to the peculiarities of being an adult shoved into an infant's body. If I live through this night, I swear I will destroy you.
Despite his body's general inability to cooperate, Lelouch managed to scale his crib and escape. Lily Potter rushed into the room but moments later. Her wand flew into motion, barricading the door behind her with all manner of sorcery. Soon enough, she turned her attention to the son she'd come to rescue. The shock showed on her face when she found him standing a little unsteadily right beside her. Nonetheless, she scooped him up and quickly made for the nearest window.
And there she paused. Much to Lelouch's confusion and worry, she backtracked and placed him back into his crib. As her wand once more went to work, she whispered gentle reassurances that so contrasted with the resolved, resigned expression on her face.
The door to the nursery and much of the surrounding wall flew across the room in a thunderous crack and a mighty boom. Lily fingered her wand lightly as she turned to face the terrorist responsible for the destruction. He strode into the room completely at ease. The man's features were burned and distorted into a grim mockery of a human being.
"A displeasure, as always," Lily said.
The terrorist snorted in amusement. "Stand aside, woman. I give you this rare chance to demonstrate your supposed intelligence."
He's after me? That was certainly new information.
"Just kill me and be done with it," Lily returned, apparently not having picked up on the subtext. "Kill me and leave my boy in peace."
"This is your last warning. Stand aside."
If nothing else, Lelouch's new brain shared his previous one's ability to think under pressure. How curious it was that the terrorist – and this man did indeed fit the word better than he ever had – seemed disinclined to simply murder Lily and be done with it.
Of course, Lily responded to the demand as would be expected of most mothers. "Never."
Without warning, the terrorist snapped his wand upon her. So fast that Lelouch almost missed the words, he cast, "Avada kedavra."
It was done. With a flash of green light, Lily fell heavily to the ground, dead.
Good job, Mum. What wonderfully sarcastic words to go out on in this second chance at life.
"Foolish woman." The terrorist shook his head and approached Lelouch. "Now then, Harry Potter."
Out of the corner of his eye, Lelouch noticed Lily's wand had fallen into his crib. An idea immediately sprung into his head. It was a long shot, but it could work. He had no control over his accidental magic, but he had just learnt a spell.
Lelouch snapped Lily's wand up in imitation of the terrorist and shouted, "Awada Kadabwa!"
Nothing happened. Lelouch cursed his underdeveloped body and lack of magical education.
Worse, the terrorist's response was immediate. Although the surprise showed on the man's twisted visage, he promptly disarmed Lelouch. Laughter – a horrid, uncertain thing as though he'd forgotten how – soon replaced the astonishment.
"Well, well. Now that's respect. If a prophesied child could possibly destroy me, this is the level of competence I expect. Well done, Harry Potter. Unfortunately, you must die now. Such a waste. Farewell."
Utterly helpless, Lelouch resigned himself to this abrupt end to a second chance he probably didn't deserve anyway. An incantation, a flash of green light, and then the world erupted in pain.
Lelouch knew no more until he woke up in what, in the near darkness, appeared to be a cupboard.

Out of one hell and straight into another. Fantastic.
If there had ever been any doubt that this was a punishment, none now remained. He'd orphaned plenty of children. Turnabout was fair play.
In the dark of his cupboard, Lelouch rooted around for one of the rags that passed for a shirt. Carefully, he rolled it up with his left hand. Once he had, he took a few slow breaths to calm himself.
Now that he had the physical capacity to do work, Lelouch's so-called Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon forced him to do as many chores around the house as his body could manage before collapsing. Then, if he was lucky, they only threw him into the cupboard under the stairs with some stale bread, locked the door, and forgot about him for the rest of the day.
Were it not for that bloody lock, Lelouch would have murdered the Dursleys in their sleep months ago. He'd executed men as Zero for lesser crimes than these monsters had committed against him.
Lelouch bit down on his rag, ignored the ache in his stomach, and braced himself against a wall. With a solid push, he popped his dislocated shoulder back into place. Once the pain subsided, he carefully tested his range of movement until satisfied with the results. With the obvious problem fixed, relatively speaking, he made an inspection of the rest of his body.
Plenty of bruises, but nothing broken. Today could have been much worse. One of these days, they'll leave me an opening to use the phone or escape outside. There's no way this level of child abuse is legal in this society.
With a sigh, Lelouch collapsed onto the thin mattress that functioned as his bed. He rolled around until he eventually found a position that kept any pressure off of his right shoulder.
Better me than an innocent Harry Potter, I suppose. I at least have the knowledge necessary to survive this trial.

It'd been an entire week since Lelouch had reported his own abuse, and nothing had happened. In his own world, he'd assume the police simply didn't care or merely considered him a child complaining about the cruel, unfair nature of parents who most definitely did not know better than him.
But magic was real. And it seemed hereditary, unlike geass. There had to be an entire magical community out there living in secret. This was, of course, impossible in the 'modern' world without a way to erase mistakes quietly and effectively; murder drew too much attention. Therefore, mind magic existed.
Lelouch clenched his fists, determined not to let his anger slip any further out into the real world. I will not be subjected to this again. Last time Suzaku had been his minder. This time, who knew? It could be the Dursleys themselves, but they seemed genuine in their hatred for all things magical. It would likely be someone else, someone he didn't yet know.
Over the course of his slave labour for the day, Lelouch managed to steal a pen and rescue some paper from the rubbish. As much as he hated this sort of security risk, it had to be done. He had no other recourse. He wrote down his suspicions and his plans and then stored the paper underneath a floorboard he loosened in his cupboard.
He would file another report with the police in a week and after random lengths of time thereafter if necessary to gather evidence. Probably sooner rather than later, the person keeping him imprisoned here would either make a critical mistake or, much more likely, would turn to a more effective solution than simply maintaining the status quo.

As had become a nightly ritual – if someone read his mind, he was in any case doomed even if his guard couldn't read his native dialect of English, so he paid the regularity no mind – Lelouch withdrew the pile of paper from beneath the floorboards of his cupboard. He read by the faint light of the corridor seeping inside.
Why would I report my own abuse? What good would that do? It's not like anyone would care.
But that thought rang hollow in Lelouch's mind. It clashed with his pride. Even in this reduced form, he knew he had intellect to spare. He wouldn't take pointless actions. If he made a report to the police, it would be with a purpose.
Lelouch seethed with fury as he felt the compulsion not to report the Dursleys' abuses snap in his mind. In sharp, rigid lines, he wrote down this latest violation. When he returned the papers to their home for the night, the latest found itself impaled and suffering from nearly a dozen tiny holes.
Dudley starts school soon, and I assume I'm his age. Unless the Dursleys go to the trouble of pretending to homeschool me, they'll have to let me outside my cage. I may be able to force the matter if I can cause a big enough ruckus.

The cupboard door opened to reveal his wonderful Uncle Vernon.
The compulsion immediately snapped in Lelouch's mind. He did not love, accept, tolerate, or even mildly dislike his relatives. The look of defiance on his face earned him the hardest beating of his life, and for the life of him, he didn't care. He wore the injuries as a badge of honour.

As Lelouch read his latest attempt at escape, he let the hand holding the paper fall limp. He'd managed to run well enough to evade the police, he was sure – if they had even been called, of course. He'd stolen enough pounds from his aunt's purse to last him far longer than he could have been gone. That meant his guard had a magical way of tracking him which he didn't know how to evade.

Lelouch spent the next hour examining his thoughts and trying to break any compulsions that might be on him to no effect. He'd admitted defeat of his own volition this time. If this desperate gamble failed completely, what did it even matter? He had no friends here, no allies, and no purpose.
No, that wasn't true. He did want to avenge his second parents. That plan hadn't exactly worked out the first time around, but it had kept him motivated.
I don't know if Pettigrew is even alive. Sirius is probably dead since he still hasn't come for me, but surely he at least exposed the rat first.
With a sigh, Lelouch took pen and paper in hand and wrote down the most halfwitted idea of his second life. If he was wrong, it wasn't like he had anything to lose.

Lelouch breathed weakly, yet another compulsion broken. He felt far stronger than he had any right to, but he suspected it would still take a few days at least before he got back onto his feet. Idly, he noted that magical healing beyond mundane medicine must exist.
No changes have been made to my circumstances. I'm not even allowed to kill myself. My gaoler either doesn't care or actively wants me to be just shy of suicidal. It was the only conclusion Lelouch could reach. If a six-year-old attempting to kill himself didn't shock everyone involved with his captivity into making major changes, then this environment had to be unique in some manner or intentional. At least I'm wanted alive. That's something.
It was. Although halfheartedly, Lelouch wrote that down as potential leverage for the future. Not that it helped him while his enemy and their motivations both remained unknown. Until that changed, the only idea he had left was attempting to gain control over his magic. Unfortunately, not only had he experienced no luck with that beyond completely random effects, every failure that got back to the Dursleys earned him a beating and a week of starvation.
I give up. I really give up this time. This is impossible without an outside conspirator. I can barely even think straight half the time. If only I could find my way back to the magical community…

While his teacher finished explaining their math assignment, Lelouch finished filling in all of the answers that would give him exactly a passing grade. The teachers knew he could do better and, he was sure, had long since been ensorcelled to not act on their suspicions of his home life. So long as he passed, no one at school made a fuss. If Dudley failed, mindless thug that his cousin was, he would just take the beating for doing better.
School was a waste of time, naturally, but it remained a refuge nonetheless. Here, he was safe from the elder Dursleys. Here, he had a bit of autonomy. Here, he could rest and recover.
As he always did, Lelouch spent all of his free time in the library. Dudley refused to enter the place unless required even for such exquisite pleasures as beating his freak cousin to a pulp. Even better, his mysterious gaoler didn't appear to care that he'd found this sanctuary.
It was a shame the library, for the greater part, only collected books targeted at children, but Lelouch made do. Although some works were shared across both worlds, this one had an entirely new set of leisure reading that he needed to work through if he wanted to understand the culture.
Noticing that the shelves containing new releases had changed, Lelouch turned toward them. His eyes automatically skipped over the picture books and anything with less than a hundred pages. On his first pass, he read through the authors for any he recognised. There were a few, but none he particularly cared for. On the second, he glanced at the titles for anything that leapt off the spine.
Lelouch froze in place even as his eyes widened.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. It can't be. Who… The spine listed the author as one H Granger, not a name he knew in the slightest.
Almost afraid to find out, Lelouch took the book from the shelf with trembling hands. He flipped from page to page with his entire life story sprawled out before him from the beginning of his rebellion to his ultimate death. It even held major details only C.C. or Suzaku could know.
Or my parents.
The absolute last thing Lelouch needed in this horrid new world was a reborn Charles zi Britannia and Marianne vi Britannia. He skimmed through the book again, this time absorbing it in more detail. There were a few obvious errors clearly left in place as a test as well as some creative liberties, but it held almost startling levels of accuracy. He'd just gotten into his second rebellion when he read something that confirmed the author's identity, something he knew his queen would have never told another soul in less extraordinary circumstances.
A giddy laugh escaped Lelouch. Of all the people who might follow me here, of course it would be you. He flipped to the dedication page and read, 'To my emperor and our infuriating witch. Seek me out.'
Lelouch snapped the book closed with a smirk on his face. This changed everything.

I admit to reading more than a few MoB!Dumbledore fics as guilty pleasures, but in all honesty, they tend not to work. Not because you can't characterize him that way. It's a perfectly valid interpretation. The problem is when Dumbledore is the villain, he's in an incredible position of power over our heroes. He has a century of experience. He has hundreds, if not thousands, of followers willing to jump on command. He can make people dance like puppets with potions, charms, and mind magics. It's basically a hopeless situation and is thus the perfect setting to dump protagonists in to watch them suffer and see what they're made of. Yet somehow his schemes usually collapse like a house of cards just by poking them a little.
See the problem?
Whoever is behind Lelouch's predicament here knows what they're doing. It could be Dumbledore. It could be the Death Eaters. It could be someone else entirely. It could be a conflux of all of the above.
Regardless, one thing is certain: Sybill Trelawney gave a very different prophecy.

"Now that was an interesting interview but let's look at this delinquent nephew of theirs. Harry Potter, orphan who lost his parents due to drunk driving, was left with his mothers sister after his mothers death when he was only 15 months old. Neighbors report that he was always a troublesome child. that they could tell from his 'shifty eyes and twitchy fingers'."

"Petunia took in the child out of the goodness in her heart. She already had one child to look after and then another being dumped on her just because her sister and her husband were drunks. Hmph I wouldn't have blamed her if she took him to an orphanage but no Petunia is too nice for that. They weren't even receiving any money to support the boy. What was her reward? A boy always causing trouble, always stealing things, and always bullying Dudley" A member of the Surrey Book Club says who also wishes to now remain nameless.

"After an interview with the schools staff it is reported that Harry was a liar, thief and bully."

"We constantly had to get onto him for stealing things from other children not to mention the injuries he caused to others. His grades as well showed he had no interest in the school work. If it wasn't for Vernon talking to us he would have been expelled." Said one teacher

"I once did a house call to the Dursleys. Their nephew had bruises and accused his Uncle and Cousin for the injuries. But a different story was confirmed by the Dursleys. Apparently it wasn't the first time he would injure himself and tell others he was being abused to get attention." The school nurse reports.

"No one had anything bad to say about the Dursleys but plenty to say about their nephew. But is that all what really happened? Recent findings brought to light paint a rather different picture. Twenty Seven children reportedly bullied in young Harry's class. Twelve of which he is accused of injuring personally but after talks with the children we found out something different"

"I walked into class and found Dudley stealing from Brenda's purse. I wanted to report him but him and his friends threatened to hurt me and I was scared. Later in class Brenda told said her purse was missing and it was found in Harry's desk only the money was gone. Harry got in trouble and I saw Dudley and his gang laughing about it." One student reported

"I tried to be friends with Harry I really did but Dudley and his gang started bullying me a lot. They kept telling me I shouldn't be friends with a freak like him and the only way they would stop is if I stopped trying to be his friend. I wasn't the only kid who they bullied to stay away from Harry." Another student reports.

"Dudley and his gang hit me and then told me I would have to blame Harry for it or else they would break my finger the next day. I'm so sorry Harry" A student says through her tears.

"That is some of what was reported from students in Harry's School. Was Harry really a delinquent? An anonymous tip to our police showed crimes of Vernon and Petunia Dursley. Vernon Dursley had been embezzling money from his workplace, Grunnings Drill Corporation, for near a decade. Estimated numbers of the theft go up to half a million pounds. But this isn't all as it was found that Mr. Dursley was also lining his pockets selling secrets to their competitors. Mr. Dursley was sentenced to 15 years for this alone but that is not included the time he has to serve for a crime we shall get to shortly."

"We received an tip of the greatest crime one could commit against our Queen, Treason." Says one Timothy McGee of MI6. "We take these reports very seriously and had a warrant out as fast as we could. What we found was even worse than what we thought"

"Officers report to searching the household of #4 Privet Drive. They made shocking discoveries. One such discovery was the cupboard under the stairs. Inside caked blood was on a small mattress along with mildew and mold on the walls. This was Harry Potter's bedroom. A shocking report to such a normal and nice family. Though of course not as the skeletons in this families closet continue to grow. An account under the name Lily Evans was found on Petunias computer, Lily Evans was the maiden name of her deceased sister. The account linked up to an anonymous account in China. Reports show lucrative amounts of money being exchanged between the Chinese account to the Lily Evans one and money from the Lily Evans account would be transferred into Vernon Dursleys bank account. Along with a few encrypted files showing routes of our navy, classified designs for our artillery, and even code to by pass our systems."

"Let's stop and talk about Lily Evans for a moment. Lily Evans married James Potter in 1979. James Potter was the son of Sir Charlus Potter who was Knighted for services to the Queen in WW2.  Now Vernon and Petunia told their neighbors that Lily and her husband died from drunk driving but evidence shows there were no cases of drunk driving the night they were reported to die. In depth reports actually show that James and Lily were killed by terrorist on October 31, 1981. James Potter living up to his fathers legacy was helping fight these terrorist. Harry was left orphaned and found on Dursley's doorstep on November 1st 1981. The account for Lily Evans was made 6 months after Lily Potter's confirmed death."

"Bank transfers show that Petunia and her Husband were recieving 1000 pounds a month from the Potter bank account for Harry's upbringing, which proves the allegations that they received no monetary aid false. The diary entry's found were disturbing to say the least and of course further cemented that this family's normal and nice household was anything but. Entry's show that from age four Harry had to start doing the chores around the house, not some but all. At five he was made to cook and tend to the garden as well."

"Vernon didn't get the promotion today. Has to be that Freaks fault! Vernon is the best worker they have of course he should have gotten that promotion! Him and his freakiness has been the bane of this family ever since we took him in. The only thing that makes us accept him even marginally acceptable is the money we receive to spend on my little Duddlikins~ He is such a good boy teaching that freak his place. After messing up my husbands promotion he doesn't deserve to eat for a few days. Maybe that will finally get him to stop being such a burden!" One entry of Petunias Diary.

"Even the family not in the house have had dark ties come to light. Marge Dursley, a respectable and upstanding citizen as acclaimed by her neighbors, was found to own an Illegal breeding farm for bulldogs and running a dog fighting ring. Her dog Ripper had to be put down due to his aggressive nature that Mrs. Marge Dursley installed into him."

"We found her 'training' her dog ripper to attack small dolls in the shape of what we confirmed was Harry Potter. The dog then proceeded to attack the closest officer while Mrs. Dursley tried to escape." Said one officer involved in the raid

"Our very own Amanda Prince stepped forward with hospital records for one Harry Potter who she admits to having in her home since his Birthday July 31's. Here is her statement."

"Most don't know but James Potter is my son Alexanders Father. I knew he had another son but I had assumed he died during that attack so long ago. Imagine my surprise when the special boarding school Alex got accepted to also had the name for Harry Potter on it's list. Of course I had to meet him but what me and son found was disturbing. Years of abuse had whittled down on the young boy to the point he believed he was a freak and deserved all the treatment his aunt and uncle, if you can even call those monsters that, gave him."

Alex absolutely adores his new brother. I almost cried when I heard that boy call me mum after being with us for a few weeks. He is so much better now. He is putting on weight, eating right, he has even began to work out with his brother. He smiles more and laughs more. Now that him and Alex have left for their new boarding school I can finally come out and show these reports to expose those monsters and make sure Harry never has to return there again!"

"Vernon Dursley has received another 25 Years for child abuse and neglect for a total of 40 years, Marge Dursley Sentenced to 17 years and a fine of 100,000 pounds, Dudley Dursley was enrolled in St. Brutus Home for Criminally Insane Boys along with his friend and accomplice Piers Polkiss. Lastly Petunia Dursley for Crimes of Treason was given the death sentence to be carried out December 13th 1991. To Harry Potter. Three years into Vernon Dursleys sentence he was found bound and gagged behind the boiler where he died of dehydration and starvation. A year Later Marge Dursley committed suicide in her cell by hanging herself. Dudley Dursley couldn't find work after adulthood and turned to crime and is serving 25 years for assault, attempted murder, and robbery.

Alexander Prince is known as many things. Genius, Prodigy, Fighter, Demon and now one more is added to that list, Wizard. With friends in High Places and more in low how will the Uncrowned Prince change the wizarding world and are they ready? Also why is his new Half Brother so famous in this world?

Harry used his cloak of invisibility and told me and Ron how he found a mirror that showed his family. Ron and I were excited but for different reasons. Ron wanted to see Harry's family, while I wanted to know what I truly desired.
In the evening after hours of searching, three of us, barely fitting under invisibility cloak, somehow got into the room with the mirror. Because, my descriptive skills are honestly lacking, no other words except for "big and tall" did not come to mind, when I saw the mirror.
After we came in and Harry looked into the mirror, he tried to show us what he saw to Ron and me, but unfortunately for him, we didn't see a thing in it. Then Ron tried standing before it and saw manifestation of his true desires. Then I understood why mirror was called "Erised". This word backwards is "desirE". Both funny and sad, knowing that whatever you see in the mirror is an unfulfilled dream.
Soon, Harry and Ron started arguing and me being lost in thoughts didn't notice how this argument started. But I didn't need to intervene, because soon our trio heard some noise from outside in the corridor.
It was that annoying cat of Filch. Mrs. Norris. Thankfully we were able to hide under cloak in time, but it scared me shitless, nonetheless. I didn't think it was that dangerous to come here.

Well, that is a nice bonus. 
In any case, after staring for some time cat went away and we decided to go back to our dorms, before cat has called Filch. I really wanted to look into the mirror to see what my desire was, but it will be postponed I suppose. Thanks to one of my abilities I have better memory and recall, so I mostly memorized way here from Gryffindor tower.
We reached the tower soon and those two went to sleep, while I decided to check that mirror. I had nothing to fear, because I can Save&Load anytime.

I made it there safely in the first try. Probably was lucky. Although, I must admit I did lose my way twice while looking for that room. 
Then I looked in the mirror and saw myself there. Standing in the circle of fire, while lightning was screeching in my hands. Smile was on my face, while people from beyond the circle were throwing spells at me. Why smile? Because all spells were ineffective against my defense. True invincibility. Or better to be said I was wielding power so immense and unparalleled that I was invincible.
Hm, so was it, power, that I desired? Never thought of myself as power hungry, but I suppose that explains my unquenching desire for knowledge. 
My desire was so simple, yet so strong. After thinking about it for some time power could make sure I will survive. Will grant me wealth and prosperity. Will help me achieve success. Power is foundation for everything. I understood it clearly now.
Personally, I always thought that understanding your desire is the only way to achieve your happiness. Because if you know it well enough, you can either set yourself on fulfilling it or forgo impossible desire to pick a new one. Controlling and fulfilling desires is the way to happiness for me and I will continue walking this path.
I was in deep thought for some time. I yawned and understood that I need to go sleep. Because I was too lazy to go back myself and honestly wanted to have more time to sleep, I decided to just load latest save I made, saving myself some time. Literally. 
However, it was my first-time loading a save, so I asked the system.
'How do I load to a save, system?'
[Think 'Return to' and then mentally picture the moment you want to return to or second option if you know the number of the save you can say 'Return to moment 3' for example. ]
'Can I say, "return to last saved moment?"'
[Yes, you can. As long as system has a clear understanding of your will, command will be done.]

For a second my vision blanked and all I saw was darkness, but in the next moment I was in my room standing, ready to go out for a mirror. 
That was faster than I expected.
Anyway, it's time to sleep.
*Week later*
These past few days Potter was gloomy and deep in thought. I assumed he was going every day to look into that mirror. I wanted to talk him out of this, but then decided against it. In original he somehow got his desire under control, right? So, he can do this now as well.
And I was right. Today when we got to breakfast, I saw him there a tad bit livelier than before. 
By that time students started returning for a beginning of the term. Granger returned a day before term started and sufficiently berated us for not finding who Flamel is, but I surprised all three of them.
This week, I finally find out the book that mentions him. Thank god, I had upper hand, knowing he was an alchemist, but even then, I had to go through ton of books before I was able to find one that mentions him. This dude is not old. He is freaking ancient. 
"Who said we didn't? I know who he is."
"Really? Why didn't you tell us? Who is he?" Harry anxiously asked.
"I found it in the book I borrowed from library yesterday. As you know I go to sleep very late, because I am reading before sleep. So, I had no opportunity to tell you yet as I found mention of him in that period. Didn't want to wake you up. We will discuss it after breakfast."
"Okay"
We quickly finished food in our plates and went to find some empty classroom to discuss who Flamel is. After telling the trio who he is and showing them the book where I found him they understood what was guarded by that dog.
After that days went by and Potter brought us the news: Snape will be referring next match. 
Ron was against it and tried to convince Harry against playing. 
Hermione briefly looked at me before saying that maybe it was better if he avoided the game. 
Apparently all three of them were still suspicious about Snape. Not much I can do about it. 
Anyway, Harry still decided to play, because there was no other Seeker. 
At that moment Neville came in, or better to be said "fell in", as he was cursed with leg-lock and couldn't walk properly. So, while others were laughing Hermione wanted to use counter-curse spell but was a tad bit late. I already casted the spell and his legs sprang apart.
Thanks to library, high magical talent, fast reading, amazing memory and high-level magic skills learning simple magic is easy. So now I know at least a dozen of spells, excluding the ones from a spellbook.
*After Quidditch match*
Harry came all gloomy while telling us how he heard Snape threatening Quirrell and they assumed that Quirrell was some kind of a hero, that stood up to a villain. 
I honestly wanted to hit my head with wall. Really? A hero? This golden trio sure is a biased bunch. I can't even persuade them, because that will only distance them from me. So annoying…
Moreover, due to my previous suspicion of Quirrell now they think that he was the one who was counter-jinxing the broom and he tried to save Harry, while Snape wanted to kill him.
Anyway, exams were coming and that was emphasized at least fifty times by Hermione. Plus, we got ton of homework, so I had little time to grind. After all, I can read fast, but I can't write as fast. 
*One of the days in library*
We were sitting studying and preparing our homework, when Hagrid suspiciously shuffled into view. Redhead and Potter started loudly speaking about Flamel and the stone left and right, which scared me to the point where I might need to switch pants. 
Who the heck tells highly guarded secret out loud in the place with so many people?  
So, they argued a little with Hagrid and in the end he invited us to his hut later to discuss whatever we wanted, as long as we don't speak about it in common areas. After he left, Hermione was interested in what he was hiding. Ron decided to see what he was researching and in which section. It was dragon's section. Interesting. I think this is the moment where he will hatch the dragon or something like this.
Then we talked about dragons and apparently Ron's brother researching dragons. I somehow missed that info, huh. Anyway, two types of dragons still live in Britain : Common Welsh Green and Hebridean Blacks. 
Maybe in the future I will try hunt few of those. From alchemy books I read, every dragon is a trove of ingredients. With them I can grind alchemy and wand making skills easily.
After finishing lessons for today we went to visit Hagrid's hut.
