The vampire Nundu gave the folded newspaper to his partner. Kai unfurled the paper and peered at the many small headlines on it and started to read it. He was reading at the pace of a quick human as he was still adapting to his newly awoken body. 

There were only a few headlines that caught the vampire lord's attention, the first was one that announced the results of Harry's trial. The second was related to the supposed appearance of a Lethifold- a dangerous A class dark creature that was said to rival and, in some cases, trump the Dementors. It was written that Harry Potter said that he was attacked by a Leithold during one of his visits to London.

The third and final subject that caught Kai's attention was a small announcement at the very bottom of the front page. The announcement revealed that there was a new care of magical beasts professor needed to teach for the first half of the year. 

Originally Grubly-Plank was meant to teach during Hagrid's visit to the Giants in mountains, but as he was approaching one of the Court's more secretive settlements full of B class magical beasts that included Giants he was unable to teach that year. Bob had told Kai that the half-giant was on his way to make sure that the Court's branch didn't join the fake blood lord.  

The fake had disclosed the fact that he was going to get the magical beasts help and the order of the Phoenix had heard of it. The fake blood lord had chosen this specific branch as they had announced that they were loyal to the Blood Lord. While most of the wizarding world assumed they were talking about the fake, the high ranking members knew that they were talking about the true Blood Lord- Kai. 

Kai remembered that that specific branch was given a runic circle created by him when he was practising magic. It appeared that it had protected them from the memory changes the rest of the world had experienced. Hagrid had nominated himself to go to persuade the Court's magical beasts to join Dumbledore's side or at least stay neutral. At least that was what Mundungus Fletcher had reported, he was the Court's spy in the Order of the Phoenix. 

The job had sparked Kai's interest as it had caused him to have an alternate way to get close to Harry, without alarming him. He could get close to Harry in many ways as a teacher such as giving him detention or giving him private lessons. He decided to do attempt to go to the interview immediately and would take the job interview with the board of governors. 

He couldn't risk going to Dumbledore as there was a high chance that he wouldn't allow Kai to take the job and perhaps even attack him. This would automatically cause him to lose a good chance to earn Harry's trust or even lose it completely as currently, he was Dumbledore's puppet. 

Kai was sure that the Headmaster of Hogwarts wouldn't‎ allow him to step through the doors of the school. This was because he was a vampire and automatically considered a "dark" creature. However, the main reason was that he would be able to show Harry that not all vampires were evil as the heralded greatest wizard in wizarding history would like him to believe. 

Kai would get Tom to give him an identity that was stored in the court just for these types of occasions. All that would be required would be a few changes such as names species etc. The main part would be that he was a 10-star member and that he had fought during the two wars the court had faced.

The vampire lord assumed that he knew more about magical creatures than any other wizard in the world due to his vast "experience" with them. 

Although this "experience" was mainly killing them and fighting them, it allowed him to know all of their weaknesses and soft spots. He would also be able to teach them the curriculum that could actually help them instead of the rather unique things that Hagrid taught.

He would use his experience on the battlefield, as well as his new identity to convince the governors to let him into the school as a professor and if that didn't work then he would use some other more interesting means to help convince them. 

This identity would give him the right tools as well as a way for the students to worship or at least admire him. He turned to the pages where the trial of Harry Potter was located and started reading.

At the hour 8:00 AM in the morning young Harry Potter's trial for his underaged magic usage began. However the boy who lived only arrived 5 minutes after its start, according to him minister Fudge sent a letter to his residence a mere few hours before the hearing and therefore didn't reach him on time. The only reason he arrived according to him was because of sheer luck. 

He was bombarded with questions by the senior undersecretary to the minister of magic Mrs Delores Umbridge alongside the minister of magic Cornelius Fudge for the next few minutes, without receiving a chance to defend himself. 

It was only after his defendant Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore who serves as Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards, Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot and the Headmaster of Hogwarts school of witchcraft of wizardry, arrived did the Minister and his undersecretary stop questioning Mr Potter. 

The headmaster of Hogwarts was fuming at the fact that the trial had started without Harry's defendant who incidentally was the headmaster himself. After he arrived, he managed to defend the claims and serious accusations that were thrown at the boy who lived. 

The main claim that the minister used against the defendant was the use of magic in front of a muggle, the other major accusation was the use of underage magic. Minister Fudge pushed for Mr. Potter's wand to be snapped, along with Undersecretary Umbridge. 

The defendant stated that young Harry was merely defending himself against a Lethifold, which had attacked both him and his cousin when they were returning from London. The minister denied these claims but after the headmaster of Hogwarts brought in a witness in the form of a squib named Arabella Figg. She had by coincidence come to London to visit her granddaughter and when she was returning home she saw the two boys.

The witness described that while couldn't exactly see what was going on, she did see I quote "a big, smoky, black cloth that was releasing a terrible and terrifying feeling." Then the defendant said that Mr Potter released a Patronus, (for our readers that are unaware of what the spell is, the Patronus is a conjured spirit animal created from positive memories that stop Dementors and Leitholds) in the form of a stag that caused the Lethifold to escape. 

Minister Fudge tried to have young Harry's wand taken on the grounds of exposing magic to a muggle but Headmaster Dumbledore stopped the Minister with Clause Seven of the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery, which was judged by the Wizengamot and was decreed reasonable enough for young Harry to defend himself and his cousin.

Then Undersecretary Umbridge used the accusation of underage magic against the hero of the wizarding world on the basis of the use of the engorgement charm against his muggle aunt Marge 3 years ago. 

But much to her dismay the accusation was stopped once again by headmaster Dumbledore who defended young Harry by saying that the ministry had already proven that the user of said charm was an unrelated house elf. 

Thus, Harry Potter was proven innocent. This reporter believes that the boy who lived deserves respect for all he has done for the wizarding world and not the biased accusations of our minister. Once again this reporter is doing her job to report the truth and only the truth.

Once Kai read Rita's report he was fuming, as he knew that while there were some untruthful parts in it most of it was true. After all, there was more juicy material to write about the ministry as a whole instead of one boy and therefore she should give the truth as that meant that the ministry came out in a bad light.

But a Lethifold, he wondered how the fake managed to control a Lethifold as they were said to be uncontrollable. This was because they were mindless beings that sought to devour humans. There still wasn't a known reason for this occurrence but some theorized that the Lethifolds were once human souls that experienced some dark ritual.

But it would seem that Kai needed to push in a meeting with the vampire that was assuming his identity. He had to get rid of the trash and interrogate him about the ally who is manipulating these events.

Kai is a tourist on holiday when he is killed in a terrorist attack. He wakes up during the year 1981 in a forest and finds out that he is a vampire progenitor in the Harry Potter world. Kai then heads out to the nearest human settlement which happens to be Godric Hollow.

Walking in the occupied street, a man who stood out walked inside the library.
Ezekiel who had returned from his journey, had met with Hagrid who was completely surprised by the fact of seeing so many endangered magical beasts, and almost fainted by the happiness of being able to seeing them. While Light was completely happy about his return, he had [Shadow] rebuild the fence to a big room where all could stay in their own habitant preferred area.
Rest of the time left for the next year of school to begin, was spend in research, experiments and taking care of the beasts. Although while gone, various people had tried intruding but were stopped by [Shadow] and his defense system. 
Today he walks in the Library Flourish and Blotts, which was the place he first bought all knowledge books which introduced him about the Wizarding world, to see one of the person who picked up his interest when it came to his adventures around the world, although definitely fake there must be some truth behind every lie.
Waiting as he looked through the books which were almost all read, apart from some novels or diaries, suddenly his coat was touched from behind and turning he saw it was Hermione. Her face was filled with happiness yet there could be seen a little sadness.
Hermione: "Ezekiel!"
Ezekiel: "Hello, how are you Hermione?", said while putting the books back to their position.
Hermione: "I am fine, how about you? Where were you when the points were being distributed?", with her eyes wide open as she can see the truth.
Ezekiel: "Well I had a little business".
Hermione didn't pursue more, instead looked behind, "wait a minute" said as she went to two older people, bringing them here she introduced them, "Ezekiel this is my mother and this is my father" she said while introducing, "mother, father this is Ezekiel a teacher of Hogwarts".
Ezekiel looked at the two people, "it is nice to meet you".
Monica: "Ohh my, hello my name is Monica. You know it is the second time we see the Wizarding world, it wonders me how no one knows of this world".
Wendell: "Hello, my name is Wendell, thank you for taking care of Hermione".
As Ezekiel and the two adults talked, Hermione went away on her own and soon enough brought back Harry towards him.
Harry who saw one Ezekiel, spoke respectfully, "hello sir".
Ezekiel: "Hello Harry".
"Ladies and gentleman, I present you Gilderoy Lockhart" a rather lazy voice reverberated in the Library.
Everyone started clapping as they looked at Lockhart who appeared in-front of everyone, while all females and some males changed their faces, as if enchanted by the man in-front.
"Make way there please, let me be madam. Thank you" said the photographer while passing through the crowd.
"Excuse me little girl, this is for the Daily Prophet", while centering himself and taking photos of Lockhart who posed in a weird way, showing his teeth's.
Suddenly the man looked over this side, and saw Harry Potter while Ezekiel who was by his side, his face changed at a visible second, but controlled himself, "Harry Potter".
The photographer who looked towards Lockhart's direction saw Harry and also looked over to see him and took him forcefully to him, while pushing him towards Lockhart.
Ezekiel had disappeared after Lockhart had looked at him, as he knew the character of the writer who was nothing more than a false identity to gain fame and money. Landing he slowly walked towards his Hut, not before passing by the house full of magical beasts. 
*Knock, knock, knock* 
Suddenly his Hut was knocked, opening the door it was Hagrid who seemed very happy about something.
Ezekiel: "Come in", while closing as Hagrid entered.
Hagrid: "Hahaha, you will not believe it, how could I even forget to remind you" said while sitting on the sofa, "you remember Norbert, although because of getting my house countless times on fire, it was discovered, but somehow the Ministry didn't deny me taking care of it" said while smiling like a little child.
Ezekiel: "Good for you, where are you placing him?".
Hagrid: "Oh, I took him inside the Forest after all it got too big to stay inside the Hut".
Ezekiel nodded and talked through along Hagrid, although most of it was Hagrid talking about what he did these vacations, the places he went to, the people he met with…
Soon time passed, as Hagrid left to his Hut, Ezekiel continued with his research and spell creation, and the Magic Orbs continued changing with each passing day. While his body is already in the verge of being able to use Magic of this world, after all he can feel a different energy around him, which unlike before he sensed due to his perception, he now can feel the control over this energy.
Writing on his papers, Ezekiel heard a noise different from the Forest beasts, it seemed of a car, as so he looked over the sky to be presented with a flying car and out of control, while inside sat Harry and Ron. Ignoring the little kids, he continued with his things as time was not to be wasted.
The magic spell he is achieving to create is completely different, as unlike Latin, or any other language in the world Ezekiel made it with his own created. Like Chinese, Japanese…all languages are created to one express himself to the other, but due to the limitations the human language has, Ezekiel created one which is completely different from the human language, if to say it directly speaks to the spirit of the other.
And the magic he intending to create, is something which not only removed the necessity of a wand, but also chanting which is very bad in many situations where the wizard/witch need to utilize magic in hurried state, and possibly could end up endangering or even paying the price of oneself for this. 
This way another night passed, while Ezekiel was immersed on his paperwork, and the magical beasts sleeping.

As the soldier sacrificed his last second, he gained another life where his new journey to the Multiverse just began.

His name is Draco Malfoy, at least it is now.  He started out as a soul before the System he possessed rebooted, apparently after suffering a critical error.  Apparently, features he had from the system were incompatible with where he was to be reincarnated, but our MC couldn't remember why.

After receiving a mysterious message through his system from a god or something, someone calling him Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, the soul who would become Draco Malfoy, was left to experiment with his Mysterious System.

Fortunately, his Newbie Pack gave him all seven Harry Potter books to help him prepare to enter his new world, and with that he was able to begin preparing for the eventual conflicts to come.

While his memories of his previous life, or perhaps lives, appear to be missing, he sometimes finds himself just understanding things mysteriously, and he's uncertain why.

He decides that after seeing all the Karma he had previously accumulated, that he must have been a good guy in his previous life or lives, so he decides to live his new life his own way and to hell with the script/story he read.

He'll rise to the top of the world, exploit every advantage his system gives him, and surpass both Moldybutt and Dumbledore!

In the mourning, in a typical English house upstairs a young child woke from is wonderful dream where he was flying and sending jet of flame in direction of a bald pale man. He get up from his bed and stare at the mirror near his bed.
An eleven boy, slightly tall for is age, nor thin or fat, spiky red hair like flame a punk-rock like style hair cut (Same style as Grindelwald... bite me !), green emerald eyes and smile telling you wait for my prank. A face more handsome than his brother. This his Alexander Potter.

"Well, it's soon will be here."
 After a few second in front of the mirror he heard a faint snoring, he turn is head and look a the double deck bed. In the upper bunks, is brother still sleep. Harry as the same feature of the original, but taller and less skinny, he also wear the same rounded glasses, over the year the face of the twins start to be less and less alike. Alexander approach is brother and start to wake him up.
"Get up, it's morning, breakfast is going to be ready"
"Hmm, ok..." saying this Harry end up sleeping five more minutes.

After another sigh of exasperation Alexander start going down ready to eat is breakfast.
You are probably wondering why the hell the two of them don't sleep in a tiny closet ?
Well without explaining in great detail, Alexander, over the year was able to convince his uncle to buy stock in some company and bet in some sport competition and gain a lot of money making there family rich. Of course the twins barely get any money but there live style was still acceptable. Not living in a closet and having their own clothes. 

To smooth thing even better Alexander teach Dudley making smarter than the original so the Dursley couple were less disrespectful for the twins.
He also never told the truth about his parents or the magical world to Harry, only story before bed. Why you should say ? Well, fame can be dangerous for a children.
Speaking of magical world, both twins were wizards. The magic riot of Harry was the same. When they were in a zoo, Dudley overexcited because a snake was responding to his cousin push him away. Harry in anger look a the glass which disappear. After this a lot of panic and punishment follow... 

For Alexander it's was on dinner night with the sister of his uncle, after some insult toward his parents, anger took him and the house start to tremble and the object to slowly gravitate. Fortunately the Dursley didn't see this, they were crawling under the table to protect themselves....

After eating a breakfast, the Dursley couple took their son to the dentist.
Once the dish clean by Alexander, he was ready to go play outside with Harry when he hear a weird son from the window. Looking at the window he saw an owl looking at him
'It's finally here !' Rushing to the window, he open it allowing the owl to enter. Alexander took gently the letter attach to the paw of the owl and give him something to eat he then shout is brother to come down.
After a few second Harry came to the kitchen.
"What happen Xander ?"
"Look" Alexander pass the letter from Hogwarts to Harry.
Harry took it and look closely.

The  envelope  was  thick  and  heavy,  made  of  yellowish  parchment,  and  the  address  was  written  in  emerald-green  ink.  There  was  no  stamp. Turning the envelope over he saw a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms; a lion, an eagle, a badger, and a snake surrounding a large letter H.

"What it's this ?" he look as he brother for an answer.
"Well it's a letter of admission for the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." saying this he open up, there was two page. The first was an introduction.

After a few minute to take the news, Harry say with a weird tone.
"Wizard? like magic and stuff ? it's a fairy tales right ?"
"Then tell me, who did the glass at the zoo vanish ? Who the hair of our teacher turn blue ? Who the all house start to tremble when their was no earthquake? We are wizards Harry"
After speaking with Harry and let himself take the news that an entire world is open to him, Alexander took a paper and start writing is reply. After a few short line he gave the paper to owl. The owl flew of the window and go up in the sky disappearing in the horizon.

The next morning after breakfast, Alexander was able to convince Dudley to go in the cinema with is parents leaving only the twins at the house.
"Your suitcase is ready Harry ?"
"Yes, but why do we have to pack so soon ?"
"Just wait, you will understand soon." After hearing the mysterious reply of his brother, Harry was mumbling not happy...
An hour quickly pass and a sound of a motocycle was closing to the house
'It's time, Hagrid is finally coming !!!'
Harry look outside and saw a giant on a motocycle. Mouth open big enough for allowing an ostrich eggs to enter he heard a loud knocking and the front door suffering.

"Is someone at home ?!"
Alexander quickly open the door before it's break. What he saw was the same giant though a little older. Harry next to his brother ask to the giant in a timid tone.
"Hello sir, what are your looking for ?"
Hagrid look at the twins and smile.
"You are Harry and Alexander right ?"
"Yes sir" respond Alexander feigning ignorance.
"I'm Rubeus Hagrid Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, i'm here to take you to Diagon Alley where you will buy your books and wands for your first year at Hogwarts"

Harry hearing this was shocked and happy that what is brother tell him was not a dream.
"Well sir do you -" Before Alexander could finish he was interrupt by Hagrid.
"Call me Hagrid" respond Hagrid with a serious face.
"Ha-Hagrid" the twins say a the same times.
"Good !" A big happy smile show in the face of Hagrid.
Alexander sigh in front of this gros beta and continue his conversation.
"As I was asking Hagrid, is there a place where to stay at Diagon Alley until the start of the school ?"
"Yes, the Leaky Cauldron a very famous pub among the wizards, why ?"
"Well, because I am not sure if will accepted that we are wizards"
Harry nod firmly to the line of his brother.
After a few minutes of thinking Hagrid finally say.
"Well, your parents left you a fortune so living for a month a the leaky cauldron should be enough I think?"
"Our parents were wizards ?" suddenly say Harry. Hearing this Hagrid look at Harry and then got the reply that his parents die in a car accident. After Hearing this Hagrid get mad and wanted to smashed those damn Muggles.
"Muggles ?" ask Harry.
"It's those who can't do magic" After that Hagrid start a fabulous tale of the Potter couples until Alexander interrupt Hagrid.
"Hmm, Hagrid, can we talk later ? We are still in the front door, should we not go ?"
Hagrid hearing this slap is forehead and start to get ready. He attach the two suitcase on his bike and the twins put them self in the side car.
"Mhh, should we inform Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernom ?" ask Harry to his brother.
"I left a note on the table."  And with this the trio of a giant and two child set off in the direction of the Leaky Cauldron.

After a very uncomfortable journey, they arrives in front of dirty black wall building.
"Welcome to the Leaky Cauldron"
Harry look around and saw that the people ignore the but and ask Hagrid why.
"It's a spell preventing the muggles to see it. Pretty neat hey ?"
 Once entering the Pub, after a discussion between Tom the Bartender and Hagrid a uproar follow because Harry Potter was here. A lot of people wanted a hand check from him. Meanwhile Alexander ask Tom if he could let the suitcases behind the counter to keep them safes which Tom agree.
Alexander hear the voice of Hagrid presenting the new professor against the Dark Arts, Quirinus Quirrell.
After a lot of time wasted they stood in front of an old brick wall. There Hagrid took his umbrella and touch some of the brick. In front of the astonishing eyes of the two little guys the wall start to open showing a new alley.
Hagrid see the look of the both and smile.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley !"

A young man who was acclaimed as a genius by everyone was currently reading Harry Potter, his favorite novel but  was complaining about the story and end up dead by your ever kind god Truck-sama.

THESNAKE-HAIREDLADIES WEREstarting to annoy Percy.
They should have died three days ago when he dropped a crate of bowling balls on them at the Napa Bargain Mart. They should have died two
days ago when he ran over them with a police car in Martinez. They definitely should have died this morning when he cut off their heads in Tilden
Park.
No matter how many times Percy killed them and watched them crumble to powder, they just kept re-forming like large evil dust bunnies. He
couldn’t even seem to outrun them.
He reached the top of the hill and caught his breath. How long since he’d last killed them? Maybe two hours. They never seemed to stay dead
longer than that.
The past few days, he’d hardly slept. He’d eaten whatever he could scrounge—vending machine gummi bears, stale bagels, even a Jack in the
Crack burrito, which was a new personal low. His clothes were torn, burned, and splattered with monster slime.
He’d only survived this long because the two snake-haired-ladies—gorgons, they called themselves—couldn’t seem to kill him either. Their
claws didn’t cut his skin. Their teeth broke whenever they tried to bite him. But Percy couldn’t keep going much longer. Soon he’d collapse from
exhaustion, and then—as hard as he was to kill, he was pretty sure the gorgons would find a way.
Where to run?
He scanned his surroundings. Under different circumstances, he might’ve enjoyed the view. To his left, golden hills rolled inland, dotted with
lakes, woods, and a few herds of cows. To his right, the flatlands of Berkeley and Oakland marched west—a vast checkerboard of neighborhoods,
with several million people who probably did not want their morning interrupted by two monsters and a filthy demigod.
Farther west, San Francisco Bay glittered under a silvery haze. Past that, a wall of fog had swallowed most of San Francisco, leaving just the
tops of skyscrapers and the towers of the GoldenGate Bridge.
A vague sadness weighed on Percy’s chest. Something told him he’d been to San Francisco before. The city had some connection to
Annabeth—the only person he could remember from his past. His memory of her was frustratingly dim. The wolf had promised he would see her
again and regain his memory—if he succeeded in his journey.
Should he try to cross the bay?
It was tempting. He could feel the power of the ocean just over the horizon. Water always revived him. Salt water was the best. He’d discovered
that two days ago when he had strangled a sea monster in the Carquinez Strait. If he could reach the bay, he might be able to make a last stand.
Maybe he could even drown the gorgons. But the shore was at least two miles away. He’d have to cross an entire city.
He hesitated for another reason. The she-wolf Lupa had taught him to sharpen his senses—to trust the instincts that had been guiding him
south. His homing radar was tingling like crazy now. The end of his journey was close—almost right under his feet. But how could that be? There
was nothing on the hilltop.
The wind changed. Percy caught the sour scent of reptile. A hundred yards down the slope, something rustled through the woods—snapping
branches, crunching leaves, hissing.
Gorgons.
For the millionth time, Percy wished their noses weren’t so good. They had always said they could smell him because he was a demigod—the
half-blood son of some old Roman god. Percy had tried rolling in mud, splashing through creeks, even keeping air-freshener sticks in his pockets
so he’d have that new car smell; but apparently demigod stink was hard to mask.
He scrambled to the west side of the summit. It was too steep to descend. The slope plummeted eighty feet, straight to the roof of an apartment
complex built into the hillside. Fifty feet below that, a highway emerged from the hill’s base and wound its way toward Berkeley.
Great. No other way off the hill.

Ch.2 - The Battle of Hogwarts
Alex watched in amazement when the first volley of attacks rained down on Hogwarts. There must have been over a hundred wizards that laid siege of the ancient castle. The great barrier that was created with the help of the school faculty performed well enough stopping all of the attacks. 
    However, when Voldemort, himself, fired an overwhelmingly powerful spell at the protective barrier, it fell apart like a fading illusion. Even when they expected this outcome, some of the defenders of Hogwarts couldn't help but shriek at the sight.
    Hope, it seemed, had abandoned them.
    Alex wondered, How could a single wizard be capable of such a magical feat? Such raw power? It was no mystery how much Voldemort was feared.
    The enemies rushed toward them like an approaching tsunami. There were giants, werewolves, and acrumantulas among them. It seemed like their worst nightmare had come alive.
    As the giants were ploughing the stone men-at-arms of Hogwarts, the wizards who could fly have done so to cross the ravine. Being one of the defenders who were adept at flying, Alex had gotten on his broom and taken flight as a part of an impromptu flying formation made up of former and current Hogwarts quidditch players.
    The battle raged on as Alex and his squad rained spell fire on the enemies while avoiding incoming spells as one would avoid a bludger. The other flying wizards recognized his skill and naturally began to follow his lead. This way, they were able to counter the onslaught of the airborne assault of the enemies.
    However, the battle on the ground was a different matter. The defenders were just too outnumbered. Furthermore, they were comprised mostly of older Hogwarts students, while the enemies were more experienced and merciless fighters.
    It took several spells before they could take down a giant, while the werewolves use their superior speed to flank their defences. There were also dementors who joined the chaos. Fortunately, they were repelled quite easily by a powerful omnidirectional Patronus charm.
    After just an hour of fighting, the castle was already unrecognizable from how it was that morning. Even the stone of the castle was aflame. The courtyard was where the battle was heaviest. Whatever battle lines they had drawn earlier was long forgotten.
    Alex swooped in and fired a 'Bombarda Maxima' at an area where enemy wizards were concentrated. He didn't bother looking at the result of his attack before retreating from some angry wizards who have taken flight to chase him by turning into a black smoke the way Death Eaters were known to do. His experience as a quidditch chaser enabled him to choose his engagements wisely, knowing when to press and retreat as the situation required.
    He signalled his flight squad members and pointed at the giant in the middle of the courtyard. It seemed to be one of the giant leaders as it was wielding a large halberd and wearing some rudimentary armour.
    They formed an attack line and dived toward the giant. The explosions came at quick succession as they peppered the monster with 'Bombarda' and 'Reducto'. The giant fell down like lumber, wailing in anguish.
    However, even with a number of successful engagement on their part, their side was still on the losing end. With the Hogwarts wards shattered, the enemies were able to come and go into the castle. Alex decided to join the fighting on the ground. He left the command of the flight squad to a 7th-year student who performed pretty well despite her age.
    He blasted one of the windows, then, he flew in the opening. He found himself in one of the classrooms, and from there, he proceeded to secure the corridor outside. He didn't have to wait too long before finding two wizards strutting along looking for more victims.
    With their back against him, he quickly fired two 'Flipendo', knocking the enemy back. Then to finish them off, he sent a 'Diffindo' on each of their necks, killing them quickly with a big slash on their throats.
    As a fighter, Alex preferred using simple spells whenever he could. They were easier and quicker to cast, and the results were much more predictable. He never really understood the purebloods' fear and reverence towards the 'Unforgivables' and the Dark Arts.
    He had gone from one corridor to another in search of more enemies. Whenever he saw a fighter on their side, he lent a hand. If he found an enemy, he struck decisively. There was no point in holding back. Especially, when the enemy clearly could control dementors and escape from Azkaban whenever they wanted.
    In one corridor, he found the current Head of the Department of Magical Enforcement, Corban Yaxley, who was retreating from wherever he came from along with two other Death Eaters.
    "'Bombarda'!" shouted Alex as he fired the curse along their path. 
    The ground exploded sending pieces of the floor to all directions. The three wizards were thrown back due to the blast. He made sure the two Death Eaters were dead with a cutting charm to their necks, saving Yaxley for last. Then, he made sure to take the enemy's wand.
    "Incarcerous," he worded. Yaxley was tied up tightly with a rope. He dragged him to a nearby room, locked the door, then sound-proofed the room with a spell.
    Alex revived the man and greeted him, "Hello Yaxley."
    " Who are you?" asked Yaxley quickly recognizing his situation.
    "You don't know me. You and I don't really run with the same crowd if you know what I mean," said Alex with a grin.
    "Mudblood! How dare you do this to me!?" yelled Yaxley.
    " How dare I? I'll tell you. It was quite easy. I dare to do it because I have magic!"
    "Your kind is a plague to our world! You should be glad that we let you live!"
    "But you didn't, let us live, I mean. You persecuted us, imprison us, and humiliate us. And now, it's come to this. Purebloods, mudbloods, it doesn't matter. This war you started will eventually kill them all just the same," he said accusingly. "But that is for tomorrow, let's focus on the now. You are here lying by my heel. Mudblood and pureblood, only one of us will be walking away. I wonder who?"
    "You wouldn't dare! The Dark Lord will hunt you, your families!"
    Alex laughed aloud. "This is exactly how I want you to be!" he exclaimed. "Let's see how long you can stay proud! 'Crucio'!"
    The spell caused Yaxley to scream, his body convulsing uncontrollably. Alex held the spell for about ten seconds.
    After recovering his breath, Yaxley was still glaring at him defiantly. Just as when he was about to say something, Alex hit him with another curse.
    He knew that he should be out there fighting, but he couldn't help himself. He tortured Yaxley until the man was drooling on the floor, body spasming uncontrollably.
    "It looks like our time has come to an end," said Alex as he pulled up Yaxley's head by the hair, making sure that their eyes met. "I want you to know that a mudblood was the one that sent you on your way," he said calmly.
    " No… Please…" pleaded Yaxley.
    "'Diffindo'," he said softly. He put more than usual power in the spell causing Yaxley's head to be completely cut off.
    Alex walked out of the room leaving the body there on the classroom floor. He knew some people would find it later. He could only imagine how they would react. Would they be shocked, horrified, or vindicated? Would they see the irony as he did?
    Then just as before, the Dark Lord's voice was heard again throughout the castle. This time he said that he was ordering his followers to withdraw from Hogwarts, and, that Harry Potter should surrender himself to him at the Forbidden Forest before the night was over. If not, he would kill anyone who dared to hide the boy from him.
    This allowed the defenders of the castle some much-needed break. When he reached the Great Hall, he saw where the Weasley family was gathered. Mrs Weasley was crying loudly. One of the Weasley boys, Fred, had died. He immediately went to Bill to offer his sympathies.
    The Weasley's were just one of the many people grieving in the Great Hall. Nymphadora Tonks and her husband were also among the casualties. The most unfortunate, he found, were the number of students that died that night.
    "I'm so sorry, Bill. He was too young," he said solemnly.
    "He was such a joker, my brother," said Bill. "It feels like one of his jokes. I just didn't—"
    "He didn't die in vain."
    "I'll make sure that he didn't," Bill promised.

Alex was resting in a quiet spot when he realized that Harry Potter was nowhere to be seen.
    Did the boy go to the Forbidden Forest, he wondered.  That boy, he said to himself, even if he was Harry 'goddamn' Potter, he surely couldn't do that to them.
    Even if he didn't know the details, he believed that Harry Potter was the key to finally defeating Voldemort. The Order of the Phoenix made that clear enough. So, he could not let the boy get himself killed and let all they'd done be in vain.
    He decided to go to the Forbidden Forest himself while using an invisibility charm. He followed the most likely route that anyone would take, and before long, he'd found Harry Potter.
    He was about to give the Boy-Who-Lived a talking to when he heard him speaking. He couldn't make up the words from where he was hiding, but it was obvious enough to know that the boy was talking to someone. However, there wasn't anyone else there.
    Was he talking to ghosts? He wondered. No, he would have seen it otherwise.
    Harry Potter was holding a small stone before dropping it on the ground. After that, Harry went on to his destination.
    Alex picked up the stone and wondered what it was. It was an eight-sided grey crystal with a strange symbol within. He decided to keep it as he had a feeling that it could be important later on.
    He restored his invisibility and followed the direction where Harry had gone. When he found Harry, he was standing in front of Voldemort and his followers. He also saw Hagrid, the half-giant, held back in chains as he struggled in vain to get to Harry.
    Before Alex could do anything, the Dark Lord sent a powerful Killing Curse towards Harry. A big explosion happened upon the curse's impact. Both the caster and the target were knocked over at the same time.
    Alex was in disbelief of what he just witnessed. The Boy-Who-Lived was dead. And somehow, his death has affected the Dark Lord who had fallen over and was visibly disoriented. Alex didn't know what might have happened to the Dark Lord, but, the only thing on his mind was the dead Harry Potter.
    Without thinking much further, Alex tighten his hold on his wand and charged.
    "'Bombarda Maxima'!" he yelled, putting as much power as he could with the spell. 
    He followed it up with a quick 'Reducto' aimed at one of the wizards who was restraining Hagrid before the Death Eaters could recover from their surprise.
    "Hagrid! Get Harry!" he yelled.
    The half-giant roared like a bull and ran towards the fallen Harry. No one could stop him as he bulldozed everything that tried to stop him. Alex did his best to protect him from hostile spells.
    After Hagrid had picked up Harry, Alex looked over to the enemy. He knew he had to stop them from chasing Hagrid. With Voldemort weakened, it might just be his only chance. There was one curse he could use to either stop the enemies or force them to retreat. Being inside a forest, he knew it could very well lead to his death.
    "You forced me into this! Fuck you all!"
    He held his wand aloft and cast 'Fiendfyre' with all the power he could muster. A continuous gout of cursed flame came from the tip of his wand, forming into a fiery bird as it descended upon the Death Eaters.
    Then, a spell fired by Bellatrix Lestrange struck him from the side which blasted him away unconscious. His wand arm was missing, blown-off by the spell. The cursed flame was already fully unleashed, however.
    Bellatrix had left the Dark Lord's side when the chaos started, too mad and impulsive to prioritize her weakened master. Before she could do anything else, she was engulfed by the cursed flame. In her last moment, she caught a glimpse of the fallen Voldemort and his snake as they burned before she was dead.
    Anyone who did not have the presence of mind to dis-apparate was consumed by the fire. Whenever the flame stalled, it split up forming into more fiery beasts. Eventually, the fire has consumed all living beings on that side of the forest including its creator.
    That event was later known as the Great Forest Burning. It was the single most destructive fire of the Magical world. There were more than a hundred pureblood wizards and witches that died in the forest.
    Many of the creatures that lived there also perished in the flame, most notable were the werewolves and acrumantulas. It was a saving grace that the centaurs and the unicorns were on the other side of the forest and were able to escape before they got surrounded by the fire.
    The most amazing news, however, was the death of Lord Voldemort and most of his closest followers. Another news being celebrated was the survival of Harry Potter when Hagrid carried him out of the burning forest.
    The name Alexander Grey was known to every witch and wizard of Britain after that night. Speculations to his origins were a favourite topic among historians in the following years. Some claimed that he was a great hero, a martyr, while, others labelled him as a terrible villain. However, all of them would agree that Alexander Grey had forever changed the wizarding world.

Ricky's hands were sweating. He should have been this nervous to meet James, heck he hadn't even met Lily though she hadn't been hard to spot at the Gryffindor table. The thing was that they were all just kids, people a year younger than him. 

But Lily and James were Harry's parents and even if they weren't together at this moment , they were still a part of Harry Potter and even though they weren't his parents the young soul was exiled and nervous around them.

But for him it was meeting Fleamont and Euphemia Potter that unnerve him, they were not only Harry Potter's family but they were about to be the people who would decide Ricky's future.

He sat down in his chair, trying his best from visibly shaking, he didn't want to lie to them and he truly wanted them to like him. Maybe it was both the younger part of Voldemort and his younger self, whom got pounded by the system while growing up.

James and Ricky were waiting in McGonagall's office, thankfully Dumbledore wasn't there, leaving it to McGonagall to deal with the Potters.

The door opened, McGonagall leading Mr. and Mrs. Potter into the room. James stood to give his mother and father a hug.

Fleamont Potter was a little shorter than average with knobbly knees and a huge smile. His hair a sandy-brown with a few streaks of grey and like James his eyes were hazel.

Euphemia Potter was nothing short of magnificent. She had enchanting blue eyes that seemed to pierce into Ricky's heart. Her hair was a mass of black curls and she held herself very straight. 

When she walked into the room it was if she owned it and everyone else in that room were her honored guests. It wasn't until James hugged her that Ricky realized she was also very petite, smaller even than her husband.

Euphemia approached him, Fleamont at her side. "Hello Rickard," she said.

"Hi, and please call me Ricky" Replied Ricky smilling back.

"How was your first day at Hogwarts?" Fleamont asked with a warm smile.

"Er… it was, I met James and his friends."

"Quite the characters," Euphemia said with a rueful smile at her son, "aren't they?"

"Sirius is fun," Ricky said.

"Yes, he does have that quality. We were told you did extraordinarily well on your exams," Euphemia said. Her lilting voice put Ricky at ease so that he shifted, putting his hands on his knees.

McGonagall conjured two extra seats and everyone sat down, Mr. and Mrs. Potter sat closest to Ricky

"I heard you were able to cast Corporeal Patronus," Fleamont said.

"He did what!?" James exclaimed.

Ricky smiled, "A Corporeal Patronus. I thought they were cool and reading Fantastic Beasts kind of freaked me out. I never want to meet a dementor."

"What is it? I mean what animal is your Patronus?"

Harry's smile widened, "A panther, but it used to be a stag. I don't know what caused it to change recently though?"

"No way!" James almost yelled. "I don't believe it! That's what my a- er,  a stag is what my favorite animal is…" he finished rather lamely.

Fleamont gave him a peculiar look, "I thought your favorite animal was a Horntail?"

"Those are the worst," Ricky said emphatically. Once again the Harry part of his soul bled through. Then he caught himself with as little grace as James had. "They are the worst type of dragon, ever. Or so I read, you know, in Fantastic Beasts."

"Well stags are my favorite non-magical animals," James defended himself.

"Dragons and deer?" Euphemia asked, confused. "Your two favorite animals are fire breathing dragons and then the common deer?"

James not trusting himself to speak, merely nodded.

Euphemia narrowed her blue eyes at him but let it go, "Learn something new every day, I suppose."

Smilling Ricky threw his two cents in, causing Euphemia to smile.

"Hey at least they taste good but arecacpain to hunt, at least the muggle way that is.

James's face contorted and quickly looked  upon hearing this from Ricky.

"So Ricky," Fleamont redirected, "we were told you had nowhere else to go? Is that the complete truth? Aren't there any adults from the magical community or the muggle one who could vouch for you?"

"No, sir. I never met my father, so I can't tell you if he is alive or not but I saw… I remember my mother dying. I was taken in by a family who knew her but didn't like her. They never spoke of her or the choices she made in life. I was told my father was drunk but I don't really believe them. They kicked me out when I was eight, well if asked them they'd say I ran away. Luckily I was picked by a sellwand, she looked after me for a while but she died last year. And I came here on the off chance I might find some living family. I have nowhere else to go..." 

Except for an orphanage, but Ricky was more likely to find a job then go back under any muggle guardianship based on both Harry's and Voldemort's memories.

Fleamont and Euphemia exchanged looks.

Euphemia asked, "Do you know when your birthday is?"

They casted each other another glance.

McGonagall coughed, "Is it possible, Fleamont that Harry is your-"

"No, it is not possible," Euphemia said firmly.

"The resemblance between your father and Ricky is quite remarkable," Professor Mcgonagall said gently this time around.

Euphemia shook her head, not in denial, but in resolute faith that her husband would never want or dare to cheat on her.

"My father has been a widower for over twenty years, and he often goes by Harry," Fleamont said.

"I can go get Filius to cast an inheritance Charm," Professor Mcgonagall offered.

Ricky looked a little relieved but tried not to show it, "How does that work?"

McGonagall smiled at Ricky reassuringly before speaking 

"Just a drop of blood from the oldest family member in the room. Bronze chain of light for distant cousins, Silver chain of light between siblings, golden for child and parent."

Ricky didn't know that, he had assumed that would be heading to Gringotts in order to do it but this is also not too bad, after all the goblins might discover something else, and he wasn't entirely sure he would want that.

Fleamont nodded and Mcgonagall left the room and returned shortly thereafter with Professor Flitwick.

In a complex series of wand motions and Fleamont passing over a smudge stick to Flitwick, there was light.

Gold light, like suspended electricity extended from Fleamont to James. And bright silver Fleamont to Ricky and a dim silver to James.

Scratching his head Flitwick supposed he must have made a mistake. He re-casted the spell, this time with a droplet of Euphemia's blood. Golden light from Euphemia to James and a dull bronze to Minerva McGonagall and to Ricky from Euphemia.

Flitwick dropped the spell and smiled, "It seems we  have our answer."

"Well," Euphemia said with a smile, "I guess I have another son, i always wanted to have twins but I suppose i can settle for this, and it seems that Ricky is related to both the Potter and Ross families."

"You're the last pureblood from the Ross family, Euphemia," McGonagall said.

"Yes, but family is always messier than titles," Euphemia said. "It doesn't matter in the end, Ricky is one of ours, he has nowhere to go, or at least nowhere that he would be welcome. I have always wanted more children. Whichever way the branches of the family tree may fall, Ricky is not responsible for his birth and will not be punished for it. He is a Potter and he is still in school. He is ours, end of discussion."

Ricky felt his heart swell and he wanted very much to hug her at that moment. Even the Voldemort part was awfully quiet at this moment.

"Very well," McGonagall said professionally, but Ricky could see the pride in her eyes.

"Rickard is officially enrolled in his classes and as he only has one years left we are willing to pay for his supplies-"

"Nonsense," Fleamont said, "It is our honor to provide for him."

She nodded, "Then everything is accounted for then. I'm sure James will want to ride back on the train with his friends in the morning, and he no doubt needs to pack but Ricky-"

"I don't have much and I left my bag in the hospital wing give me a few minutes and I will be right back." Ricky said before bolting out of the room like a bat out of hell.

While everyone was left baffled at his action, Ricky ran to the bathroom close to the hospital wing. There both of his simulacrum waited for him, the memories were quickly transferred to him before they disappeared.

On the floor laid a trunk, and according to his memories it was trunk with an undetected expansion charm, meaning it was bigger inside.

So the simulacrum separated everything before placing then inside, after opening the trunk he quickly went inside. Once there he loo kh ed at the neatly separated contents, on one side there was a pile of gold, next to it was oneof silver, what caught his eyes was an even bigger pile of bronze.

According to his memories the total amount turned out to be, fifty million galleons, thirty million sickles, and sixty eight million Knuts.

Looking away he caught sight of mountains of jewels, and other valuable items. A pile of wands, some broken other fully functional.

A pile of furniture bith broken others on their last legs, piles of brooms in the same state as well as a few other trunks.

Nodding his head he climbed out the trunk, shrunk it and walked into the still deserted hospital wing and took his travelling bag, before making his way back to professor Mcgonagall's office.

Upon walking in, he sat down and continued talking with the Potter's, then the professor asked a question.

 "So Mr. Potter did you leave your wizarding books in a muggle house when you were kicked out?"

"No," Ricky said. "My foster family burned them."

"Oh," McGonagall said, the surprise clear on her face, "did they happen to read them before they burned them?"

Ricky laughed, "Aside from the titles, no. The words magic, flying, and/or anything else abnormal was strictly forbidden."

Everyone in the room frowned at Ricky, but he saw understanding on McGonagall's face.

 "Your bouts of accidental magic must have been-"

"Rough," Ricky finished for her, "I mean I'm okay but I never, ever want to go back there."

"Unless you want to ride the train, Ricky," Fleamont began, "you can come home with Euphemia and me tonight. I will pick James up at the station tomorrow."

"I think I would like to go back with you tonight," Ricky said, relieved. "I think I have had enough of Hogwarts for the time being."

"Surely it wasn't that bad," Flitwick said lightly, "You were sorted into Ravenclaw after all."

James couldn't keep the grumpy expression off his face.

Euphemia smiled, "Ravenclaw, hear that sweety, a Ravenclaw."

Fleamont blinked but after a moment he laughed, "Oh my father is going to be perturbed and delighted. His wife, my mother was a Ravenclaw, you see, but typically any child who comes to Hogwarts with the last name Potter is guaranteed a spot in Gryffindor."

"The Sorting Hat said Gryffindor would be disastrous for me," Ricky said.

"Why?" James asked.

Ricky shrugged, but thought it might have something to do with the early stages of the war beginning with Slytherins versus Gryffindor.

"Oh Dad," James said suddenly, "Ricky was a hatstall."

"Really?" Fleamont asked, "That's rare."

Flitwick laughed, "It may be rare but almost half the number of people in this room were hatstalls."

McGonagall smiled, "I was almost sorted into Ravenclaw."

Flitwick smiled up at his much taller colleague, "And I was almost sorted into Gryffindor."

"Ricky?" James asked, "What house were you almost sorted into? Bet it was Ravenclaw because you read so much."

"Nope," Ricky said cheerfully, "the Sorting Hat was tempted to sort me into Slytherin, something about me being a Parselmouth."

Ricky wasn't sure that was the smartest thing to say but he thought it would be easier to keep his secrets about being from the future if he gave them flashy truths to obsess over instead.

Everyone in the room paled a bit.

Flitwick cleared her throat and asked nervously.

"You can talk to snakes?"

"Yep, Is that rare too?"

The adults were a little wary of this new development, each of them thinking that it best that the no one outside this room learns that in the shadow of the brewing war.

James looked like he was going to be sick.
"It is extremely rare," Flitwick said. "And usually hereditary but Herpo the Foul was born with it and he had no relation to Salazar Slytherin."

"Cool," Ricky said.

"Cool?" James repeated, "It isn't cool, Ricky, it is Dark Magic."

"Says who? Bring a me a book that says it is and I will recend, while we at it bring me a wizarding law book that says so to while we at it?." Shrugged Ricky

"Damn it Ricky it's dark magic everyone knows that" said Jane's nearly yelling.

"No, it isn't, James Fleamont Potter," Euphemia scolded. "It has a bad reputation but no, it is not a magick within the Dark Arts."

"But-"

"James, your mother is right," Fleamont said. "Now, it is getting quite late, I am sure you will be staying up late with your friends but I would like to get Rickyy settled at home before midnight."

After saying they're good byes they apparated, Ricky went side along with Fleamont to Potter Manor.

It wasn't huge but the grounds…Ricky felt the glamour barrier they walked through that would keep muggles away. 

They walked along a lantern lit path and most of the flowers were closed but others… Ricky had never been to the green houses at night and the night blooming flowers of the magical variety were breathtaking. Some of the flowers gave off their own light.

"Do you like them?" Euphemia asked him.

Ricky was a bit startled but smiled at her, "I love them. I've never seen plants like these."

Euphemia grinned, "They are all from my greenhouse. Pomona and I -Pomona Sprout, had a rivalry going when we were in school. We were in the same year, though I was in Ravenclaw, and we used to spend hours in the green houses after hours. Once we figured out how to breed them- well-"

Fleamont laughed, "Once they figured out how to breed plants they almost got themselves expelled on more than one occasion."

Ricky's eyes widened, "Why?"

"We created monster plants, invasive species, and," she laughed warmly, "and I think we will share some of my troublemaking years for another time."

Hedwig emerged from the shadows, swooping down to land on Ricky's shoulder.

"Hey there, Hedwig," Ricky greeted.

Fleamont gave the owl an odd look, "Did she know where you would be before you did? The flight from Hogwarts would take a few hours."

"Probably, Hedwig is the smartest avian you'll ever meet."

"She's lovely," Euphemia said.

Hedwig hooted her approval than took back off into the clear night sky, the large grounds and the gardens providing an excellent opportunity for prey.

The manor itself was old and small for what the term 'manor' usually implied. The ceilings were vaulted and windows took up most of the front of the house and the living room.

"Welcome home!" Fleamont holding the door opened wide for his wife and Ricky.

Ricky suddenly felt overwhelmed. Never in his life did he ever felt th his way, neither did Harry, nor Voldemort.

Home. the Harry side of him had given up hope on when Sirius had flown away on Buckbeak at the end of his third year.

And Voldemort had done so at the tender age of eight, after a particularly bad beating at the orphanage.

"There will be time to give you the grand tour when the sun is up, I think," Euphemia said, "but for now this way to your room."

His room.

They went up the steps and the manor had character and little wizard oddities such as railing that leaned into your touch, hallway lights that danced when someone walked under them, and a clock that told the time with a little sun moving over a map of Britain, casting real time shadows helping to show what time of day or night it wasn't as chaotic as the Weasley's house but not as 'civilized' as the Dursleys, but better than the Barack's. It was a place Ricky was hoping beyond hope that he could stay.

Ricky's room was a medium sized room with antique furniture, an empty bookshelf, and a queen sized bed. On the bed, there was a pair of pajamas.

"We can decorate the room however you like tomorrow and we will go to Diagon Alley to buy you clothes after we go pick up James," Fleamont said.

All Ricky could think to say was, "Thank you."

"We want you to feel welcome here, Ricky," Euphemia said, looking for his a reaction.

He smiled at her, and said again, "Thank you."
She smiled and then took a hesitant step towards him, "Good night, Ricky."

Ricky even more hesitantly stepped closer and offered her a hug.

Her arms were the safest place Ricky had ever known. Fleamont from behind his wife hugged both of them.

Surely, this is what home must feel like t
right? gosh since when did he become such an emotional wreck?
