The gamers didn't know that Alexandria had become the Dungeon Lord of Venice.
Since the farm was awarded to the Pioneer Alliance of Eternal Kingdom, the other gamers were eyeing the lands in Venice.
The Pioneer Alliance was extremely strong. Most of the First Beta Gamers were in this Guild.
Moreover, the chairman was the top rich gamer, Arthur.
Construction at the Guild's land was proceeding at a rapid pace.
Within ten days, the Dungeon Lord Main Hall was constructed from scratch. It was used to let the gamers rest.
The gamers referred to the members of the Pioneer Alliance.
The building was spacious enough to cater to 5,000 members.
It was tens of stories high, and a large portion of the construction went underground.
It was common knowledge in the Underworld. How could the building be constructed too high? Especially when there was a height limit to the roof. Hence, most of the development went underground.
After the large Dungeon Lord Main Hall was completed, Arthur opened up his Guild lands to most of the other gamers.
This was restricted to other allied Guild members and unaffiliated gamers.
The members of the opposing Changan Guild were excluded.
Though the Guild lands were opened up, very few gamers were able to gain access since they had to be verified by the Pioneer Alliance. After all, the farmland was limited in size.
At most, it could accommodate 10,000 members. However, the capacity could be increased with the construction of more buildings.
During this time, Lord Sherlock, who was the superior of the Pioneer Alliance, arrived at the farmland to do an inspection.
He gave encouragement to the gamers at the site.
The frozen gamers were unable to respond since they were in Plot Animation Mode. They could only stare helplessly at Sherlock, who talked for some time before leaving.
The gamers managed to record and upload the video to the forum. It created a huge reaction.
This was the first time that a Guild had triggered a plot. Though there wasn't much effect, the gamers felt it was refreshing.
The Guilds on the Surface World obtained their lands in a much easier way, but there was no Plot. The gold coins that were paid by the Human residents living off the Guild lands weren't important to the gamers.
The gamers wanted Magic Stones.
If the Surface World gamers wanted to purchase enchanted, rare, or powerful equipment, they had to use Magic Stones for the transaction.
Normal weapons could be bought using gold coins.
The gamers were envious of the Pioneer Alliance, as it was powerful and wealthy.
Though "Dungeon" was a free game, there was no way to buy powerful equipment or skills using Renminbi.
Normal gamers weren't trained in combat, so their fighting skills were inferior. As such, Renminbi was used to exchange for Magic Stones in order to purchase powerful weapons.
However, the rich gamers weren't that different from normal gamers. Only Arthur was an exception. He was an unexpectedly powerful and wealthy gamer. 
Only Hoodlum and Dragonborn were on par with the capability of Arthur.
The three gamers were the epitome of powerful warriors in the game.
While the gamers were busy doing construction on their first Guild land, there was a piece of news from the Dungeon.
Lord Sherlock gave a new order, telling them to go to Venice, where they would set up a new Adventurer's Guild.
He had spent a huge sum of money and bought a small piece of land for the gamers to construct the Guild.
The gamers weren't enthusiastic, as Venice was too far. And most importantly, they had to pay to use the Teleport Portal.
There were many Daily Missions available. Why did they have to perform the Daily Missions in Venice? The gamers thought that it would be better working in the factories than doing the Daily Missions.
Even challenging an Instance Dungeon was better than doing Daily Missions. Moreover, the gamers could trade their loot with other gamers. There was no need to waste time and effort traveling all the way to Venice.
That was what the gamers thought until Lord Sherlock posted a new announcement.
The gamers who completed Daily Missions in Venice would receive special points that could be exchanged for Guild lands. The more points they had, the larger the Guild land.
When the announcement was posted, all of the gamers stopped what they were doing and flooded to Venice.
Besides those gamers who were waiting to enter the game, the active gamers numbered a few million. Even if only 50% of the gamers went to Venice, the number was an astonishing 500,000.
Venice was overwhelmed with gamers all of a sudden.
Sherlock didn't suffer many losses. He only carved out a piece of land for the gamers. All he had to do was circle out a desolate area outside Eternal Kingdom. The gamers had to deal with the wild animals and monsters at the designated land.
It was a barren and desolate land that was devoid of resources, so Sherlock didn't feel the pinch.
Moreover, the land didn't belong to Eternal Kingdom in the first place, so he didn't feel the pain.
After spending a lot of money to arrive at Venice, the gamers weren't content to just perform Daily Missions.
They carried out the glorious tradition of their predecessors. After gaining the experience of gamers making money in Winterfell on the forum, the strategies were used in Venice for the same purpose.
Besides performing the Daily Mission of constructing the new Adventurer's Guild, the gamers used the rest of their time to do odd jobs in Venice. For example, they worked as waiters in restaurants and helped to clear the sewers.
As for the problem of finding a place to rest, it was easily solved. The gamers didn't bring along their valuable belongings. They gave their belongings to the Guild attendants for safekeeping before finding a place to rest.
It was safe in the Dungeon. Perhaps, they might even wake up in the Venice prison and obtain free breakfasts.

The Rock Ghost King was finally provoked after the frequent attacks by the gamers. He then started preparing his army for a battle against the gamers to demonstrate his power.
After obtaining the news, Du Yan who was acting as Lu Wu's spy headed back to the Mansion of the Dead to pass the information to Lu Wu before he got exposed.
Lu Wu was not surprised by the Rock Ghost King's plan.
His plan was within Lu Wu's expectations after he got to know the gamers' actions.
Cha Na, the Ghost General was no match for the Rock Ghost King in terms of commanding and personal strength. The Rock Ghost King was clearly stronger than Cha Na.
Lu Wu did not intend to confront him with violence at that moment because he believed that the Rock Ghost King wouldn't dare attack the Mansion of the Dead as he would risk losing his power and his army. After all, the location was disadvantageous for him and Lu Wu believed that the Rock Ghost King was well aware of the pros and cons.
Lu Wu would not fear even if the Rock Ghost King really attacked him.
Since Lu Wu was well-equipped with battle artifacts, he could move all of the important buildings into the inventory if the Mansion of the Dead was destroyed. Also, he would not give the Rock Ghost King any chance for spawn camping by releasing a maintenance notice by that time to get all the gamers offline.
The Rock Ghost King was not planning to go all out as expected by Lu Wu. Instead, his plan was to eliminate some of the gamers by the tactic of suppression while showing off the strength of the North Rocks.
He did not want to take the risk since he had no idea of how strong Beiqi's new power was.
Hundreds and thousands of gamers were still looking for materials to upgrade their ships at the peripheral area of the North Rocks when a shocking scene occurred right in front of them. The land quaked when green brilliant rays appeared from the deep jungle and covered the whole peripheral area of the North Rocks in the blink of an eye.
Many ordinary trees were getting deformed and distorted before they were uprooted.
Numerous Tree Demons appeared from the surrounding area and gathered together before they started assaulting the gamers along with the Enchanted Trees.
The gamers attacked back when they encountered the countless Enchanted Trees and Tree Demons.
However, this was only the start of the war. More powerful creatures such as Ancient Tree Demons and steel zombies advanced toward the periphery of the Northern Zone once they received orders from the Rock Ghost King.
There were only 30,000 players at the Northern Zone at that time. They were defeated and had to retreat when faced with the enormous troops.
However, the Rock Ghost King was not going to let the gamers off easily. He sneered coldly and five enormous ancient trees floated mid-air beside him before they were smashed toward the gamers from behind. Then, they rooted in the earth and formed a barrier to block all the players.
The Ancient Tree Demons remained unmoved despite the gamers' attacks. They waved their arms formed from branches and a large number of players were thrown off with each wave.
The gamers only realized that all the Ancient Tree Demons had been surviving for more than ten thousand years and their strengths were almost equivalent to that of the Ghost General after checking their attributes.
With the strong suppression, there was no way for the gamers to escape.
One of them shouted in the forum, "Shouldn't we at least kill several Tree Demons to get some spiritual materials? We have no way to get out of here anyway."
The others were stunned for a while upon hearing that. They immediately realized that they had nothing to lose since they were all going to die. They could at least gain something out of this by obtaining some spiritual materials.
Therefore, the gamers who were focused on attacking the Ancient Tree Demons changed their targets to the Enchanted Trees and Tree Demons in front of them.
The Rock Ghost King's smile froze as he witnessed the scene.
The counterattack from the gamers was beyond his expectation.
The Rock Ghost King got anxious and he could not sit still anymore. He rose into the air to see what was going on more clearly.
His gigantic body which was almost 100 meters in height landed right at the center of the gamers who were preparing to counterattack.
Boom! All the gamers who were situated within 100 meters from the Rock Ghost King collapsed onto the ground due to the massive concussive force.
The presence of the Rock Ghost King was domineering and oppressive.
However, the gamers didn't show any signs of fear, which was unexpected to the Rock Ghost King. All of them turned around and stared at him with desire. Some of them were even wiping off their drool subconsciously.
[Rock Ghost King]: An ancient giant tree that has been cultivating for over 100,000 years located at the North Rocks. He mastered the highest level for wooden spells and the rules of nature. His cultivation level is in the middle to a Ghost King's. He could be transformed into a King Level Herb after death.
"How great is this, it's the legendary King Level Herb. Show your health bar! My ship is hungry for you."
"Kill him, just kill him! Just leave a small bundle of his wood for me when he's dead!"
"I can almost see my future estates, yachts, pretty ladies… Get him!"
"It's the King of Trees. Will my ship become an aircraft carrier if I upgrade it with this?"
"An aircraft carrier? It can even be a spacecraft!"
The gamers were all staring at the Rock Ghost King with craving.
All of them were aware of how valuable a King Level Herb was, even one small wood chip would be precious. Blinded by their desires, they started attacking the Rock Ghost King.
The Rock Ghost King stood motionless despite the siege by the players. All of the attacks were like tickles for him and did not harm him substantively.
However, the Rock Ghost King felt awkward from the gamers' stares.
Even his subordinates would look at him with dread and revere expressions. Why are these creatures so excited to see me and get this insane? Don't they know who I am? The Rock Ghost King?
Although he did not understand what they were thinking, their actions provoked him and he was furious.
The Rock Ghost King twisted his stem and his branches started extending crazily. The area around him was being shrouded by countless branches. Many of the gamers were lifted by the branches and were strangled in the air.
That was the moment when the Rock Ghost King demonstrated his valiant strength as the overlord of the Northern Zone.
The gamers launched their attacks again and again. However, they were pointless as their opponent was equipped with enormous potential. All the gamers were wiped out by the Rock Ghost King not long later.
However, the Rock Ghost King was confused once the battle was over.
A Conjurator? A Rune Warrior?
The skills demonstrated by the gamers were all familiar to him. These skills had been diminished from the Land of Beiqi since a long time ago, so why are they emerging again now? The Rock Ghost King had a hunch that something was going on in Beiqi.


Lu Wu, an aimless video game developer, had been feeling perturbed ever since he found out he was the direct descendant of a king from the underworld. Other than the title, His Excellency, his ancestor hadn't passed down anything else to him. On top of that, all of his ancestor’s subordinates had rebelled against him and completely usurped his inherited territory.

They then created the main quest, the character classes, the Instance Dungeon, the storyline, and the non-player characters for the game.
Relying solely on these video gamers’ strengths, Lu Wu began his expedition to reclaim his rightful inheritance. What could possibly go wrong?

A story about a group of gamers and their hidden talent.

3000 AD - Humans are getting more and more into games with the advent of Virtual Reality MMORPGs. Science made a breakthrough and managed to combine VR with real world. Whole world was delighted at this as everybody wanted to live with those fantasy elements like mythical creatures. A group of all top scientists in various countries contributed along with various business tycoons from all around the world. So the credit of creating this "Gamers World" is not given to any individual and thus it is announced that whole humanity is its creator and its a free to play global service by all governments as well. Not only this all the NPCs in this game will be real people too so as employees of this game and they earn lots of money and prestige for this. Same goes for the players too who are called as Gamers. Gamers always have option to switch to NPC roles. So naturally NPCs can switch to Gamers Roles as well. 

So basically everything in real world or virtual reality now have a value as described by Gamers-Union which is like UNO of the Gamers World. NPCs are responsible to report everything to Gamers-Union and it assigns quests or roles according to the situations reported to them. Its a game with no end. Its like open and ever growing world. 

Apart from the Gamers Union there is Evil Union as well which is responsible for all evil or dark activities of Gamers World. And the gamers that chose Evil Alignment are termed as "Evil Gamers". 

These two are the default guilds in the Gamers World. And people are free to form their own guilds as well.

Huge virtual fireworks lit up around Gamers World thereby signaling the launch of Gamers World officially. Now everything in the real world is digitized.

"Welcome to the Gamers World."

Earth, 3000 AD...... Virtual Reality made it possible for humans to experience fantasy world of games in real life. The most well payed and best status jobs in the current world are of Gamers too.

As soon as Zoe left, I started the system tutorial. It was a long one, and it touched subjects I was already familiar with thanks to the previous host's memories. Before my cheats were even described, the system decided to give me a walk around this world once again.
In this gaming world, the level difference between two gamers borrowed principles from a certain work of fiction:
The "Nakama power-ups" from Fairy tail.
Not literally; after all, Fairy tail would only be one of the many gaming worlds gamers could enter...Using the world of Fairy tail as an example was just perfect to illustrate the principle.
Anyways, the way the gaming world worked and Fairy tail did were alike. The great difference was that the gaming world influence would work against lower-level gamers. All the while making sure that higher-level gamers were favored.
With an aura of prestige, one emitted by all gamers, the gaming world principles worked for higher-level gamers. They guaranteed that the party with the better level would not die from something a lower-level gamer did. Even outside of fights, that influence protected higher-level gamers. And it also gave them ways to cause trouble for lower-level gamers.
Levels were everything in this world. There were no shortcuts. The dignified gaming aura would not have this truth be defied, and because it was so, it offered asspulls. Fitting to each situation but still against all odds. Unusual body specificities, secret skills, strange items, and quirks would never advantage a lower-level gamer.
Quite the bullcrap, if I might say...But I had to accept this new world's realities, I guessed.
So, where did this aura come from?
It came from an immaterial force called the "gaming gap." And it was one of the first subjects "taught" at gaming school.
It was more of an advertisement made by the GGC for gaming churches than anything else, though. For the conglomerate, this miraculous force was a religion and a profitable business. The corporation was not only a business firm. Among many things, the GGC was, it was also a church. I wasn't sure how it came to this for the company and this gaming world citizens. But, since the gaming gap defied the most dangerous probabilities, such as Sharingan-powered illusions, or an Amaterasu, I had to admit something. Perhaps people were not just sheep. And they were not wasting their time praying.
I wasn't sure how the force worked, but it was a common belief that the gaming gap could bless families with talented children. Some people even theorized that faith in the gaming church had something to do with a child's future linkability.
Anywhere, people would have different views, though. For example, as many children as they made, my new parents didn't seem to care about gaming church and its advertisements.
But with or without praying to a retarded influence, for those who had the chance to mature into high-level gamers, one point was unquestionable:
No matter how difficult to accept, level-ups were absolute control, something even exceeding infinite power. It was illustrated by a simple fact anyone could verify. A level 1 gamer with the most superb abilities would not be able to kill a level 2. Instead, in a fight, that lower-level gamer would face an irrational crisis. And most often than not, take an unpleasant beating.
Anyways, that was the gaming gap analogy my mind involuntarily made when the system presented the most ridiculous thing in this world. Gaming gap.
Let's move on to other things now.
The gaming gap was good and all, but we had to start from the beginning:
Gaming worlds and gaming cryptograms.
Gaming worlds were generated by gaming cryptograms. And those cryptograms were all invaluable.
Gaming cryptograms were all produced by the GGC. Each generated a random story and setting.
99% of those stories were too low level for gamers to train properly, though. Some of the biggest organizations today were the ones who were fortunate enough to buy or exchange for the remaining 1%.
Not even the GGC could determine exactly what story a new cryptogram would create. They only knew what type it would be. After 400 years, there were all kinds of stories.
The gamers unlucky enough to get the 99% generally sold ordinary resources. Those were ordinary gamers, and they all wished their children could join better organizations.
Next, gamer parties and guilds:
Against higher-level gamers, the gaming gap made groups useless. People could form groups to outnumber gamers of their own levels. But they did not do so to fight higher leveled ones.
Most generally, gamers formed groups or joined organizations that specialized in abilities that interested them. The gaming gap was cruel; it made one vulnerable against any higher-level gamer. However, to grow stronger, there was one loophole:
Training techniques.
That or any other training method that allowed gamers to raise their gaming level faster. Some unique gamers and organizations had found and kept these for themselves. Defense, strength, agility, it could be one or many... Each influential gaming organization had faster ways to increase superhuman stats, though.
Next,
This one was my personal favorite, superhuman stats:
Those were areas of strength where people could become superhuman. Each potential gamer was born with five of those. Once gamers awakened, they could start to train them. By training, gamers could improve any of these stats. However, the gamer's level was only determined by one of them. The best one. Because of the gaming gap, the only important thing in the gaming world was the gaming level. Due to this reason, gamers chose to specialize in only one of the stats.
And this touched the next subject; gamer improvement:
Whether in games or the real world, good exercise helped a gamer improve his or her stats. And even more so at lower levels.
But after reaching high levels, training became impossibly slow. To improve faster, gamers needed to find better training methods. Dancing with death to find or steal new training methods was key. However, by doing so, gamers exposed themselves to level loss.
Death did not make one lose levels in the real world, but death was real, and it was the end.
Because of all those reasons, some gamers grew timid and complacent after reaching a certain power level. Instead of seeking new strength, they chose to scatter in pleasures and bully the poor for relaxation.
As for top gamers, people had different views. Some of the top gamers were also bullies. Yet to grow stronger, they took risks in the gaming worlds they specialized in. Because they discounted their luxurious lives to face new challenges, challenges that ultimately helped humankind, their peers respected them. Gamers did not just bring things out of games; they were sources of motivation. Most gamers were selfish. But they were all raised and taught with a certain pride. Sometimes they forgot it, but they were supposed to drive social development. In 400 years, their accomplishments had caused more than one turn. And that fact was not about change anytime soon.
Next was gaming Death:
Gamers aged inside games but could not die inside them. In the gaming world, whenever their bodies suffered mortal injuries, they were returned to reality. However, when that happened, they would lose one point in their best stats. Each time...
This basically was a level loss. After too many deaths, even the best gamers would give up and choose easier professions. For those gamers, becoming a local tyrant in a new space colony was not rare.
This was also one of the reasons why top gamers were so esteemed.
After recollecting the information in my mind, and before even launching the lottery, I asked the system:
"This is good and all, but I already knew all this. What do you do, man?"
[My functions are quite simple. As my host, you naturally belong to a special group of gamers called Summoners. But you won't suffer any of the disadvantages irking them.]
"What disadvantages, is it about the stamina thing?" I was curious.
[That's one thing, yes. But that's not all. Your first advantage is that you can indefinitely keep your guardians out, with no stamina consumption. And as long as you're kicking, they don't die. But you can only have a max of 2 out at the same time.]
"Alright, not bad. What's the next one?" This was good.
[Your second advantage adds the levels of the 2 guardians out to your defense stat.]
"What does that mean?" I wasn't sure I understood.
[It means that it raises your level.]
"Does that mean that I can fight higher-level gamers from the start?" I asked, elated. This was even better than my first power. My body was still sick, but after a while, wouldn't I be invincible?
[For now, only up to level 3, but sure.]
"Cool," I said, happy. "What's my third power, then?"
[You don't get one.]
"..."
[Should we start the menu and evil points tutorial or the lottery?]
I was discouraged, but I replied. "Let's start with the lottery first."
[Done.]
"What?" I couldn't help narrowing my eyebrows and twisting my eyes when the system said.
[Are you deaf?]
"..."
[Open your window and look. It's a lottery, so you don't get to be picky if you don't like what came out.]
I nodded, even if a bit dissatisfied by the system's blunt manner of doing things. The guy wasn't the buddy type, apparently. Well, this could also be good...
