" I have to kill that zombie , I can't let some walking corpse hang around my front yard " Alex said to Bella in confidant voice 
      " I know but what if something happens to you ... I .. " Bella said in uneasy look on her face 
   Alex looks at ground and said " it's already 4  o clock , how long we have to wait " then looks at Bella 
    Bella said " maybe some more time after that zombie will gets tired and go somewhere else ?" Said to Alex 
    Then Alex said " what , Bella it's zombie not human , they don't get tired , what if at night he started attacking ? " Bella didn't say anything for while .
    Then she said as avoiding Alex gaze " I know what are you thinking all the time ... The food is running low ... Because you let me in and ...you want to go out for scavenging" Tears rolls down from her eyes 
    Alex comes close to Bella and sit beside her and wipes her tears and said " we have lots of food " 
   Then Bella said in confused voice " lots but I can only saw few canned food and few vegetables in fridge" 
   Alex smiled and said " it's our fake food location , I mean this is for only display " 
   Bella said in surprisingly " what " and then Alex said " yeah you know I likes to play lots of zombie apocalypse based games , because of that I have some knowledge about some short ..." And signs and looks at Bella in her eyes , Bella looking his eyes all the time in and making disbelief face 
   Alex then as trying to prove his point " what if some other peoples tried to rob us , we can convince them we have only this food left and they only able to take this food not all of our food , get it ?" With grin 
  Then Bella smiled and nods " now it's time to kill that guy and points towards out side zombie " and pick ups his baseball bat , and looks back at Bella , Bella said " please be careful out there " then smiles again then Alex nod and slowly opens door and saw zombie standing looking at opposite direction Alex slowly without making voice come very close to zombie and raise his baseball bat and his at his skull very powerful blow then zombie drops dead at ground , Bella watching this entire scene and let's out sign and smiled looking at Alex then Alex comes back in house ... 
              as Tom said this that figure lying on the ground gets up immediately and started heading towards them with loud roar then Tom and Mac started running towards the truck 
   That loud roar catches Sarah attention and she startled and saw big and giant zombie and started to get panic , but she stops few moments and started heading toward Tom and Mac but Stone said " stay here Detective " and started walking direction of zombies then Sarah said " I'm also coming " but Stone said "No you will only make situation aggravate " and Stops again and as looking back said again " I'm not saying this because your " they both says with same time " Girl " and then Stone smiles and said " Yep , because You need to take care of these" and points other direction and then Bella saw 3 or 4 zombie heading towards them 
   " Shit " Sarah said and nods Stone and Sarah raise her gun towards them and kneel on ground as taking aim and started firing 
      Mac said as running " what the hell is juggernaut ? , And how does you know him ? " Then Tom said to Mac " I know because Alex used to play some games name State of decay " then Mac said " what ? "  
Then Mac said " it's zombie based game , I  played sometimes and saw something like him in game so I said his name " 
     But suddenly juggernaut started to change and comes super speed in there direction Tom pushes Mac out of the way and barely manage to gate out of the way 
     Mac said to Tom " thanks kid " Tom nods and both raise their guns on their front to directly at juggernaut,
  Juggernaut crashed on other cars and that impact mades to cars to collapse far away from them 
   Then Tom said " thanks for the assistant juggernaut " and started firing at skull of that big , bad zombie 
    Then Mac is also started shooting but juggernaut still managed to stand again and turn toward them again and roars again 
   Mac said so " how do we kill that thing " then Tom looks at Mac and said " usually in game we just go for his head , I mean climbing from his back and shoots him from his back skull" Mac said in frastated voice " really , I don't like it tell me any other way ? " Tom nods and said " fire a rocket launcher , or stab him in his skull with sword or knife " then Mac stops and said " so what are you saying about climbing his back " them Tom smiled little but again said " we have to distract him then Mac nod , they both split and go opposite direction of each other 
     Zombies comes to close to pickup truck but only left 2 of them , but Sarah trying to reload and after as she  finishing one of them launch himself on Sarah but Sarah dives other side and shoots him in head but another one jumps from back , Sarah trying to get out the way but she unable to , now zombie started biting her gun so she unable to shoot him then zombie pulled her gun from her hand using his mouth Sarah steps back and she is now unarmed 
    Then again zombie looks in eyes of Sarah and started growling and steps towards her Sarah is breathing heavily but she is not afread to fight , but she is not stupid to fight zombie bare hands so she decided to keep distance between them and jumps on truck zombie tried to chase her but he  bumps on front bumper of truck and crashed his head on bumper but then again he started to climb the truck but as zombie comes on the truck Sarah kicks so hard zombie fall from the truck on the ground 
   Then Sarah also jumps on ground and run towards the gun zombie is also started chasing her but Sarah managed to pick her gun in time and shoots him in head zombie lies on the ground then Sarah leans on ground as breathing 
      Juggernaut swinging his hands but he is too slow or Tom is so fast he is able to avoid every strong hit delivered by Juggernaut and then Tom said " hurry up old man " Mac said as trying to aim back of the head of zombie " keep him still ,I can't shoot perfectly he is moving his hands and blocking his head " then tom said sarcastically " oh , hey mister juggernaut can you stay still for few moments we just trying to kill you nothing more " and said again " just shoot him old man " but then Stone shouts 
       " Don't get in my way " and raise his grande launcher at juggernaut , Tom nods and dives away from juggernaut and then Stone uses his launcher on zombie and blow his head , and one of his arm then Stone drops his launcher and said " useless " Mac said to Stone " thanks stone " Stone jumps from car and said " anything for you guys "and looks at Tom , their eyes locked again but both said nothing to each other then Mac said " let's head back " but before that they takes 2 big bags of medical supplies
     As they comes Sarah looks at Tom  in concerned look in her face as he saw he is unharmed then she said to them " took you long enough " and smiled 
   Then Mac said " so I guess you alone killed them " then Sarah said " of course " as grinning and looks at stone who is heading back of the truck and Sarah said " where is your granade launcher " then Stone stops and said " it's empty so ....." Then Sarah nods and said Thanks for your help " Stone smiles and looks back at them and then at Tom and said " So some of you have manners " and jumps on back of the truck 
     Then Sarah looks at Tom and said " I will sit back of the truck " then Tom stops for moments and then said in serious voice " do whatever you want "and opens door and sit in truck , then Sarah joins Stone at back of truck 
     Stone looks at Sarah surprisingly but said nothing they started heading towards their homes again 
          After some time of silence Sarah said in low voice " thanks for trusting me " and looks at Stone who is bandaging  his injuries then he smiled and said nothing after some moments Stone said " Tom and you , are you guys together ?" 
   Sarah eyes widen as she hears Stones questions and she looks at Stone and said " he is ..... My Ex " and started looking at road 
    " Oh then it's explain a lot " Stone said smiling but Sarah said nothing then Sarah said so "what's your going to do after we ..." Before she say anything else Stone said " I don't know , I don't have any destination " and looks at the left side of road 
Sarah looks at Stone few moments and then said " How about coming with us ? " Stone looks at Sarah blank expression and said " I don't want to trouble you guys " then Sarah said immediately " if you come with us we will be safe I guess " and looks away then Stone smiled and said " really , how can you trust me ? " 
     Sarah said  " Gut feeling " and started laughing then Stones looks at Sarah said " if I come with you , my enemies going to kill you with me " and chuckels then Sarah said " you know I can defend my self properly " and slightly smiled looking in eyes of Stone 
     Stone said " I know but you guys don't know them , they are worse than zombies " then Sarah swopped few moments but again Stone said in Playful voice " beside you don't need any protection , and your grumpy ex is here to protect you " and started laughing nervesly 
   Sarah said worried look on his face " I don't care about my self but my little sister ..." And stoped talking 
   Stone looks at Sarah and the said " I will stay with you guys for some time but not long " then Sarah nods and smiles 
        Then they noticed barricade by military and police departments some solders raising there gun at them 
     Mac stops driving and comes out of the car raising his hands and said to others " I'm Officer Mac from police departments , I need to go headquarters Asap " and shows them his ID every one looking at Mac as he talks with army soldiers from vehicle 
  Sarah getting panicked but Stone said " Don't worry Old man knows what's he is doing " then Mac comes back and started vehicle and said 

" It's time to drop you guys home "

"The shelter of your heart."
"What, Gregg?"
He'd said it out loud. The Goddamn words. Right in front of Vanessa. In front of all them. The first time he'd laid eyes on Mac in four years and they popped right out of his mouth. His wife looked at him cockeyed, then, when Gregg said, "Nothing, sorry," Vanessa turned her attention to the matter at hand. 
Once a year, the Selfridges and Wyatts would meet, face to face, family in full to family in full, to show there was no remaining bad blood. Always in Sunshine Beach proper. Always on neutral ground. It was always cordial. Always civil. And everyone left with their body parts intact, despite the general consensus being that all in attendance need a long, hot shower to wash off the evening's stink of the rival family. It was about all anyone could stand, but it was necessary. A show of good faith. Once a year.
That was three months ago, yet here family contingents stood just outside the wrought iron gates of Freehold. On the one side, their backs to their own gate, the Wyatts greeted their guests openly. In the middle was Tracy Wyatt, head of the house and top of the food chain. She was flanked on both sides by her sisters, Astrid and Patience and they were in turn flanked by Tracy's husband, Derek and one of the Wyatt men, Robert or David. To Gregg, they all looked the same, but his attention was wrapped around the sight of his former lover and ultimate betrayer. Ten feet away from him, standing slightly behind her mother. 
"So, you're Charlotte," Gregg has said when they were introduced five years ago.
"Mac," she'd said, shaking out her long, wavy blonde hair. Then, she'd dropped a coy smile. "Gregg."
It was over before it began, they just didn't know it yet.
"We have business," Brandon said to Tracy.
Gregg tried to focus on the conversation. To back his father's play. It was him and Brandon and Vanessa and Uncle Ray. Each perking with psionic energy and ready for a fight. God, look at her. She was so feminine back then. At the same time innocent and precocious. A party girl with mommy and daddy issues. And what is it about daddy issues that makes a girl so good in the sack? Not that such existential questions were part of Gregg's repertoire back then. Nope, if he couldn't drink it, sniff it, fuck it- or, best of all, fuck it up- he wasn't interested. But, this was really interesting right here. She'd put on muscle. Still slender and taut, but it looked like she'd taken a few licks since he'd seen her last. And the tattoos. Her skin had been flawless. Sun kissed and tan from mornings surfing in Sunshine Beach. She looked like a road map of bad decisions. Then, why can't you stop staring at her? he thought. You know why. Murder.
"Business," Tracy said. "What would you like to talk about, Brandon?"
"You," Brandon said, but looked at Mac.
Tracy put a hand just above her breasts as if to say, "Little Ole Me?"
"For four years, Sunshine Beach had been a nice place, I'd say," Brandon said, ignoring the gesture. "Everyone's making money. Everyone's free to practice their beliefs. No bloodshed. No unchecked animosity. Wouldn't you agree?"
"The weather's been nice at least," Tracy said.
"Games," Brandon said shaking his head.
"Games," Tracy agreed.
"I've come here to your home, without weapons, without accusations, because of this good thing we have. Because of the agreement we've made."
"The truce," Tracy said.
"I didn't have to come here like this, Tracy. There were other ways discussed."
"I bet there were."
"I see," Brandon said. The frown that creased his lips seemed much more at home than the half-smile he approached with. "I want you to think very hard about what you say to me, Tracy Wyatt. Given our circumstances."
Tracy sighed as if bored. Gregg looked at his father and uncle then to his wife then finally to Mac. You had to come back. You just had to. If this talk goes south, I'm going to have to light you on fire, Girl. You must know that. And you came back anyway. The fuck is wrong with you?
But, he knew what was wrong with her. What she had to deal with. How her mind would turn on her. The things she would do. With no sense of consequences. Gregg couldn't be sure, but it looked like Mac was repeatedly tap, tap, tapping her thigh with her hand. Not a good sign if memory served.
Tracy, lowered her head and raised her eyes and said, "No."
"No?" Brandon said. His eyes widened in shock for just a second, then he regained his composure. 
"She stays."
Mac reached out to her mother, but pulled back.
"Are you saying you're willing to throw away everything we've built? The peace we have?"
"No," Tracy said. "I'm saying you're saying that."
Brandon clenched a fist. Gregg took a step forward, followed by his wife.
"That bitch has no right to be here," Vanessa said. "You promised."
Tracy ignored Vanessa, keeping her eyes on Brandon. "My daughter has come home. She needs her family. If your boy, Virgil, showed back up, would you throw him to the wolves, Brandon?"
"I'd keep the peace."
"So will I."
It stood like that for some time. The Wyatts. The Selfridges. Waiting. Trying not to itch. Trying not to blink. 
"Compromise," Ray Selfridge said, breaking the silence.
Brandon looked at his brother, eyes blazing. Ray took a step forward out of Brandon's direct eye contact. 
"I'm listening," Tracy said.
"As sheriff of Sunshine Beach," Ray said. "I'm charged with keeping the peace. Law and Order. There's gotta be something we both want."
Tracy smiled. Brandon did not.
"What are you proposing?" Tracy asked.
"Right now, there's a young man in the hospital. A Selfridge boy," Ray said. "You're daughter put him there."
Tracy snap-turned to Mac. Her smile evaporated. Even in the evening light, Gregg could see the color rise in her face. 
"You didn't know," Brandon said, the satisfaction at her ignorance evident in his slitted eyes.
Tracy's glare stayed on Mac for another few seconds then she turned back to her Selfridge counterpart. "My sister Astrid's potions are legendary. She will accompany you to your suffering kin and she will attend to his wounds. He'll be good as new."
"That would be kind of you," Ray said. "We'd-"
"That's not enough," Brandon interrupted.
"I'm afraid that's all you're going to get, Brandon. Unless you'd like to press the issue?"
Gregg felt the air go heavy. The force of it shoved him back. Vanessa and Ray likewise.
"Woman," Brandon said, "You forget how I treated you, last time we tussled?"
"Oh no, Brandon," Tracy said, they she winked and regain her smile. "I have not."
Brandon's milky white eye twitched. Tracy's gift.
This is happening, Gregg thought. This is fucking happening. Mac, Goddamn you.
"Then, maybe, we should-"
"Wait!" Mac said, stepping out in front of her mother. "What if…?"
"What if what?" Ray asked, desperately trying to de-escalate. 
"I didn't know he was a Selfridge. Either of them. Not that that's an excuse. So, what if you know, they could just knock me around for a while. Really get in there. Take their pound of flesh. Astrid's potion can always heal me after, but those two get to even the score. Would that satisfy you?"
The Selfridges looked at each other. Gregg looked at Mac. You don't want a piece of me. Not after what you did. Not after what we both did.
"Brandon?" Ray said.
The air grew lighter, if only just a little. Brandon said, "First you heal, Dash. Then, him and his sister get to take what's theirs out of that girl's hide. Cause she didn't know."
"And she stays," Tracy said.
"And she stays," Ray said. "Right?"
The two brothers stared at each other for a long time.
The air around Brandon tightened again, then he let it go. Without another word, he turned and started walking back to his truck. 
"Astrid," Tracy said and Astrid disappeared back through the gate toward the mansion.
"All right, then," Ray said. "We'll see her at the hospital tonight?"
"As soon as she can get there," Tracy said. 
"One of our boys'll be around for your daughter in the morning."
"Good night, Sheriff."
"Right," Ray said, turned and, taking Gregg and Vanessa by the arms, headed toward Brandon's truck.
Gregg stole a final glance at Mac, but let himself be led.
Out of earshot, Gregg said, "You can't be fucking serious, Uncle Ray. Letting her stay in Sunshine Beach. After what she did."
"Your daddy and I had a little talk, back there," Ray said inside of Gregg's head. "Let's get your cousin healed up. And after this business is concluded and the dust settles, we'll just go ahead and see which Wyatts stay in Sunshine Beach and which ones don't."
Then, they got in the truck and drove away.

He'd put his wild years behind him, the drinking, the cheating, the fighting, but most of all his tumultuous, clandestine love affair with Mac Wyatt. Her exile was conditional of the truce. After the fire that nearly burned Sunshine Beach to the ground, the Wyatts and Selfridges saw just what their violence had wrought and struck a tentative accord. Instrumental in the blaze, Mac had to go. And to Gregg's way of thinking, thank God, cause she took their lies with her.

But, now that Mac has returned, the generational sins of fathers, mothers, sons and daughters will again come to light as old tensions, old grudges and old secrets threaten to reignite an inferno that could eat the Wyatts and Selfridges alive.

Novis was confused by what he had just heard. Just the other day he had seen the club room completely packed. VSW was the most popular game in the world and the club had at least 50 members, but right now Alex and Scarlett were telling him they were the only members left.

"You saw the person leave right now, didn't you? everyone has been coming to me nonstop to quit." Alex explained.

"Do you know why?" Novis asked.

Alex clenched his fist before answering
"It's Mac, he's threatening everyone who is in the club or anyone who wants to join."

Novis felt bad, Scarlett had explained what was happening in the club. If Novis had never helped out in the first place then perhaps they still could have gone to the tournament. Mac clearly held a grudge against him and Scarlett and was punishing the club for it.

"Even if I was to join, including Scarlett that only makes three of us. We still wouldn't be able to join the tournament."

Alex remained silent. He knew Novis was right. Even if he could convince Novis to join the team would there be anyone else willing to join? There were very few people who would be willing to go against Mac and his gang.

Although Novis would have liked to help there was nothing he could do. Arthur had already beaten Mac. Another beating wasn't going to do anything.

With no other option left, Novis decided to leave the two of them and head home.

Alex currently felt so useless, his eyes started to water up. His dream was slowly fading away in front of him and there was nothing he could do.

"Don't worry Alex, I'm sure we will be able to find someone. I'll talk to my friends. Even if their complete beginners I'm sure we can do something to train them up in time." Scarlett said.

Just then, the clubrooms doors slid open and in walked a tall athletic blonde boy. It was Dan.
"Hi is this the VSW club room?" Dan asked.

Alex and Scarlett looked at each other and smiled.

Novis's mind was distracted by the situation at the VSW club. If perhaps he was stronger then he could guarantee the protection of the other students. He could do this with the help of Arthur but it felt wrong of him to rely on Arthurs help every time. 

When Novis arrived home, he went straight into his gaming capsule to play a few games. He had this pent-up energy that he needed to release.

As he went online, he selected the warrior Heros puer. Novis wanted to see how far he had come and hoped he would be able to improve his ranking.

Novis went ahead and selected the middle position. He wanted to focus on one on one battles to improve his fighting abilities. The first game went well. Novis defeated his opponent only using the Chain blade but his opponent was far too weak for him to learn anything.

He carried on pushing forward with his red army until eventually reaching the blue base and capturing the flag. Novis thought at this rate, he would be out of the bronze rankings in no time and people would no longer be able to look down on him.

The next match, again Novice selected mid, this time he decided to use the dual blades. Every game he wanted to practice using a different weapon to improve himself in battle. This game was similar to the last. Novis easily defeated his opponent. But as soon as he did, he heard his teammates urging him to come back to the base as soon as possible.

Before Novis could reach his base, the enemy team had captured the flag. Novis thought there was nothing he could do and was just unlucky that he had bad teammates.

Then the next match a similar thing happened. As soon as Novis was about to defeat his opponent, the player ran away behind his tower. Novis would then push forward and the player would come back all healed up. The person would keep repeating this until Novice heard the system message.

<Red Team losses>

Novis was starting to get annoyed, Novis continued to play the game but the matches ended up in the same pattern. Every time he would win a game, he would lose two games never allowing him to rank up.

Novis was getting frustrated, he would always overpower the person in mid but still would keep losing his games. Novis left the capsule and tried to think about what went wrong.

"Arthur do you know what I'm doing wrong?"

"Hmm. It seems like to me your focus on the opponent in front of you and not on the whole game."

"But I'm doing the same thing you did aren't I."

"Yes, but it seems like the teammates I would play with had a better understanding of the game. They reacted the battlefield well and gave instructions well. The players you are playing with are inexperienced, perhaps they need guidance."

Novis thought about what Arthur said, but Arthur wasn't able to help him much because when he played the game the players, he played along with were more skilful due to their rank being in gold. He needed the help of someone who had gone through the ranks before. From a lowly bronze tier to a high tier. 

Then it hit him, there was a person who had done that exact thing before. He was even living under the same roof as himself, his brother Bill.

Novis quickly stormed into his brother's room. Novis explained to Bill that he had a problem ranking up but didn't think it was his skill level. The two of them then decided to watch Novis's games together.

"To be honest you're not doing anything wrong, eventually you should rank up like this."

"What do you mean?"

"Well look at it this way, if both teams are playing with random players and there in the same rank as you. If you played 1000 games then it should eventually even out to a 50/50-win rate. If you truly don't belong in that tier range, then your skill level will tip the tables. How good you are will decide how often you win your matches. All you need is a higher win rate than 50% to rank up."

Novis understood what his brother meant. That if he was truly good at the game then eventually, he would rank up causing the balance between the teams to tip. But Novis wanted to get stronger, currently, he was playing against incredibly week people and wouldn't be able to play with stronger people for a while.

Bill saw that Novis didn't like his answer.
"There is another way, play with someone experienced. They can call the shots for you and tell your team what to do. If I was in your games, I would be bossing all the useless people around. The problem with Bronze 5 is that it's the lowest rank possible. Meaning there really is a big difference in people's skill level down there. There might be people who deserve to be ranked even lower than that but they can't get any lower. We call this elo hell."

"But I haven't played the game for long, I don't really know how to get out of this elo hell?"

"Then play with someone who does."

"Can I play with you?"

"Unfortunately, our ranks are too far apart, you can only team up with people two whole ranks higher than you. If you're in bronze you can play with a silver or gold at best."

Novis had gotten his answer but still didn't really know what he could do to improve his win rate. Arthur wasn't the best at tactics he was only good at coaching a fight.

Just as Novis was about to leave the room, his brother called out to him.
"Hey bro, if you really think you got better, how about a one on one," Bill asked.

In a small, forgotten, town just off the highway, there is a place where technology doesn't work. Sure they have little things like light, calculators, ovens, AC, and sun-powered heating. But things like phones, computers, televisions... You get the picture. Oh, and they don't have wifi.

Our story starts in a big county, where it's very smaller to LA, but nowhere near LA. Starting in two different houses no less, one of a boy, and one of a girl, but we will get to them soon enough. This pace always had the horrible weather for the seasons, it was cold in summer, overcast in winter, and so forth. It always left a weird effect on anyone who visited. They had all the comforts of home, all the WIFI anyone could want, nice people sometimes, and of course the latest fashion. Speaking of fashion that reminds me of one of our main characters.

Which brings me to Mac, or should I say, Mason Saxon Cooper. Because that is his real name.

Every one called Mason 'Mac' because his initials were so close to being: 'MAC', and his little cousin, Alice, couldn't say Mason currently. 

Anyway, Mac was a 'normal' kid till one day his parents decided to send him to Comet High. Or at least that's what he says, The true story is that Mac's parents thought that there, (video game loving, tech hacking, friendless son) son needed to quote "Get out go the glow of the virtual and into the light of the reality, for a semester". 

Now that you get a loose sense of who Mac is, its time you get to know what he looks like. Mason is an above average height, dark-haired, and blue-eyed, with a medium build, seventeen-year-old. His 'style' consists of;

Dark blue, purple, or plaid collared shirts, over a (mostly wrinkled) t-shirt, (always paired with blue, black, or ripped) jeans, and (of course) classic high topes.

In other words, he dressed like a hipster and acted like a gamer, mostly cause he was both, and mostly because his mom was a fashion designer. So he got to wear a lot of her designs before they hit the streets. Oh, and when I say got I mean was given permission to wear a day before global release.

Even though Mac didn't like school he was really focused on getting good grades, especially cause he was a senior this year. He didn't really want to start all over again with a new crowd when he was almost done with the old crowd.

Which is why Mason was very upset that he had to leave all his beloved games. So on the morning of the end of summer, Mac, packed his bags and went to go live with his hippyish Aunt for just a semester. He signed off his favorite game saying;

A place were WIFI doesn't exist...
A vacation stay, in little old forgotten Comet Town.

Mac and Sam are sent to a small town to finish off high school at comet high. Comet town is a quiet, peaceful and relaxing place. 

A little too quiet if you ask Mac. Something is definitely off about this town, besides having no internet. 

Sam is studying hard to finish high school a year early when Mac throughs a wrench into her plans. He warns her not to trust anyone they meet except for the family they have in town.

It's finally Saturday so we can go places but mom and dad say no, because of the snitch about the clubs *cough* *cough* jeramy. Anyway we are still cleaning every inch of the upstairs, I never realized how giant this house is and how hard the cleaning lady's job is. She does it all in less than a day!.

Dad: Skylar, Makayla, don't forget, you start school monday.

Mac: we need to go buy stuff tomorrow then

Dad: Alright, we'll make a list after dinner, go tell the guys

Sky: ok lets go

We wonder to find the boys and find them playing video games in the basement

Sky: ok 2 thing…

Austin: ok go

Sky: ok, 1 after dinner we're making a list of what we need for school, cause we start monday, and 2 won't dad have your heads for not doing what he asked?

Jeramy: one, ok and two, the cleaning lady comes in a few hours so whatever

Austin: yeah dad can't speak spanish so he cant ever give her the day off.

Jeramy: plusthe parents dont scare me

Austin: even tho they should

Mac: you should start soon or he wont be to thrilled to see this

Jeremy: he dosen't pay attention, plus the cleaning lady remember

Austin: haha, jeramy guess who just won the game?

Austin shoots Jeramy in call of duty and wins

Jeremy: Ima hurt you, and not in call of duty

Sky: hey, hey stay low key

Austin: She's right, i cant get caught

Jeremy: ight, fine

Ded: mac, get the boys and your sister, its time for dinner

Mac: k! Hey guys, dinner

Austin: now way?!? Really!

Jeremy didn't like Austin's sarcasm so he punched Austin. Austin hits jeremy in the throat really hard, he couldn't breath very well and fell on the floor. When he got his breath back he picked up Austin and flipped him on the ground, he started pounding on Austin, Austin curled up in a ball to prevent too much pain until Jeramy cooled down, when he did Austin broke Jeremy's nose

Sky: Stop it!!

They both freeze and dad heard me then came running downstairs.

Dad: What the hell is going on!!

Jeremy was still trying to breath and catching his blood, Austin was starring at dad in panic, slowly stands up, looks at dad and blots towards the stairs, he got up 5 stairs before dad pulled his shorts back and he fell down the stairs

Austin: OWW!! MOM

Mom comes bolting down the stairs and sees mac and I standing dad halding Austin and Jeramy on the floor bleeding

Jeremy: Hi mom

Mom: Whats going on! BABE?!

Dad: Im trying to figure that out,but Jeremy cant breth, Austin won't speal, the girls looked confuse, but wont snitch!

Sky: we aint no snitches

Mac: yeah!

Mom: alright, Lets go eat dinner, Jeramy, ill call the nurse again!

WE go to eat dinner, the nurse fixed and bandaged Jeremy's nose, then flicks Austin in the head. He acted quick and flicked her back

Austin: Watch it! Bitch.

Dad: sorry he's moody

Dad smacks him in the back of the head and Austin went quiet

Mom shows the nurse out and pays her. She comes back to the table and we plan our school stuff and hop almost all of Sunday.


"And Naomi?" Aidan said. "How much does she know?"
"Nothing concrete."
"Christ, King." Mac huffed out a breath. "C'mon, man, that's not OK, and you know it. You can't just disappear almost every night, and show up back home looking like this " Mac waved his hands at King's face, " and not tell her something."
"I don't want her to know," King said. "She doesn't need to know all this dark, evil shit. This ain't her world, and I don't want her anywhere near any of it."
"But she is near it," Aidan pointed out. "She's near it when she's near you."
King glared at Aidan. "Fuck off, Carter."
"I will not," Aidan said. "Don't be pissed at me, just because you know what I'm saying is true."
"It's not true," King snarled. "I can keep her away from all of that. I can keep her safe."
"Well, it's nice that you want to protect your woman," Mac said. "But you do remember what happened when I wasn't honest with Mirrie about a dangerous situation? She dumped my ass, after informing me that she had a right to know when I was in danger. She had the right to worry about me, man." Mac shrugged. "That's what we do when we love someone we want to know if they might not come home."
"Of course I'm going to come home."
"Oh, right. Sorry," Mac said. "I forgot that you can deflect bullets with the power of your glare, man, thereby totally guaranteeing that you'll never, ever be killed by some fucking lunatic drug lord, or crazed pimp, or hard-boiled serial killer MC thug." He blinked his blue eyes. "Yeah, my mistake."
"Fuck off, Mac," King growled.
Mac turned to Jax. "Well, me and Aidan have to fuck off now, so you're the last man left standing, Hamill. You try to reason with him."
Jax was staring at King hard. "How much time are you and Naomi spending together, Matt?"
King jumped a bit at Jax using his real name. "Well, not much. I mean, I'm out all night and sleep during the day while she's at work. And she's traveling now, so she'll be gone for about a week."
"Uh-huh." Jax sighed a bit. "So you aren't even really talking, are you?"
"I just told you, man," King said tightly. "I'm not gonna involve her in anything to do with Jensen."
"I'm not talking about your work, OK?" Jax's husky voice was gentle. "Forget about King's Men, and Kirk Jensen, and all that for now. What I meant was, are you talking to Naomi about movies, or what you'll order for take-out, or how her artists are doing? Are you talking to her about anything?"
"I I'm" King floundered, then fell silent as realization hit him smack between the eyes. Naomi had tried to tell him this very thing just that morning, but he hadn't wanted to face it. "No. I actually can't think of the last time we spoke for real."
Fuck. And it's worse than that, isn't it? When was the last time that I made love to Naomi? It was oh, Christ. It was weeks ago. She must feel so alone right now. 
"Well, I'd say that that's gonna wreck your relationship with her faster than any goddamn special op, man," Jax said with his usual, and totally unnerving, no-bullshit and bull's-eye honesty. "Not only are you leaving her totally in the dark about what the hell you're doing that's getting you hurt, but, from her perspective, you're also checking out of the relationship."
King didn't say a single word. He knew that he had nothing to say  at least not to the guys. There was only one person for him to talk to and she was in Miami. He couldn't believe that he was taking relationship advice from Jax Hamill, of all people, but he was. After all, when it came to his woman, Jax had his shit together in a way that the other guys didn't. At least, not yet. 
"King?" Aidan said softly. "You OK?"
"No," King said, taking a disconsolate swig of beer. "I'm an asshole."
"Well, yeah," Mac said cheerfully. "But not irredeemably so. I mean, it's not a permanent state of existence for you. You can still fix this, man."
Finally, King cracked a grin. "You think?"
"Oh, sure." Mac nodded. "All you have to do is open your mouth and talk to the woman, King. That's it."
"Yeah." King stood up, pulled his cell out of his pocket. "Can I use your office, Jax?"
"Of course." Jax tossed over the key. "Go. Call Naomi. Take as long as you need." He stood up and stretched, watched King barrel down the hallway to his private office. "You two feel like a few games of pool?"
"Me too?" Aidan said, pouring a shot of whiskey for a waiting customer. "It's not time for my break yet."
"Have Luke come out here," Jax said. "Some of the ladies were asking after him, anyway."
"They'd better watch out," Mac said. "His girlfriend could kill them with her baby toe."
Jax laughed. "Yeah. Selena's awesome."
"She sure is," Aidan said. "OK, I'll get Luke out here and then we'll play, though I fully expect to lose to you, man."
"Damn shark," Mac muttered. "I've only ever seen one person kick your ass at pool, Hamill, and you're lucky to be marrying her."
"Oh, I know it," Jax said. "That woman will keep me in line for the rest of my days and don't tell her this, but secretly? I kinda like it."
"Ain't no secret, man," Aidan said, deliberately accentuating his Texan drawl. "You were a goner the second Red showed up here, and turned your whole world upside down."
"Yeah." Jax grinned, loving that it was all true. "Yeah, I was."

"Dad!"

Derrick snickered as Dad fussed over me. 

"It's a date, not the prom! You weren't this bad when I went to prom!"

"That's because your mother got to fuss then. Hold still."

I tolerated his tugs on my shirt and his hand through my hair, knowing he thought Mom would do such things. I finally met with his approval, except for the one question he just had to go and ask.

"Did you grab some of the..."

I rushed out the front door, then had to go back in to grab my keys out of his hand. Derrick was busting a gut laughing. I didn't bother risking any more of my dignity with a single word. 

I was glad Derrick had loosened up with my dad. When I went to put my pipe away after the smoke with Mac, the guys had respectfully parted for me. Mac was poring the third bottle into the ground. I had urged them to go to Mac. Let them blame his crying on the previous two bottles of booze if they wanted to save some sort of face, I didn't care. 

By the time I was rubbing some of Auntie's salve into dad's shoulder, Mac had come around front. The big man had grabbed me into a bear hug and all I could do was hug him back while hoping he didn't bust my ribs.

No words, none needed. 

Derrick got home in time to watch my final preparations for my date, asking my dad if he'd ever played some of the games on the PlayStation. 

I laughed to myself as I drove down the road. I had barely played any video games myself, and that was always at a friend's house. The retelling of game night was going to be interesting. I bet I would hear two different stories of how the night went.

I pulled into the coffee shop and sat on the bike for a minute looking for her. She ended up pulling in behind me. I couldn't take my eyes off her as she got out of her car. 

"Somehow I don't think you want to head out on my bike wearing that. Is it ok if we go in your car together or do you want me to drive my bike?"

Her royal blue dress was tight around her thighs. There were two straps on one shoulder, one strap that came around her neck and joined them. The straps looked connected by some sort of crystal broach. Her other shoulder was bare. 

"We can take my car, I guess. You'll need to drive, I don't know where we're heading."

I just grinned at her, then walked over to the passenger door to open it for her. The mere sight of her sparked desire in me. She was wearing the same perfume she had on the first time we met. 

I drove for awhile, kept my hands on the wheel with effort. 

"I had a friend tell me about this place, said some of his friends hang here. I make no promises. If it ends up not being your scene, just let me know and we'll leave, no problem, ok?"

I parked in the parking garage that Ed had recommended. There was a uniformed guard hanging out by the elevator. 

"Ed says hi."

The guy looked me over, nodded, and moved out of the way. 

I grinned reassuringly to Mahina.

"Private security," I whispered as I put my arm around her in the elevator, mostly to reassure her. Getting out, I followed the directions Ed had given me. It was an easy trail to follow considering the scents I was picking up. Before long we came to a line. Ed had told me to ignore the line and go straight to the bouncer. I recognized the guy from the gym, but wasn't sure he recognized me from the look he gave me. 

"Reservation for Little Wolf."

"We don't do reserva..."

He got pulled back from behind, literally yanked back. Mac was standing there holding a handful of the guy's shirt. 

"Get your ass in here," Mac said to me, then turned to the bouncer. 

"Out of his way."

I was grinning, trying not to laugh. What was I going to do with these guys? I guided Mahina in. 

There was a short corridor where you could here the muffled bass of music further in. 

"Mahina, this is Mac. Mac, Mahina. 

"Charmed," Mac growled, stalking down the corridor. 

"Should I ask?" 

Apparently not. Mac looked a little embarrassed as he opened the doors at the end of the corridor. We were assaulted by noise and lights. 

Mac headed straight to a hall off to the side. The bouncer guarding the entrance moved quickly out of his way. The hall was lined on one side with curtained doors. Each curtain was a different color or had some symbol or another on it. Mac stopped at one that had a black curtain with a fist on it. He moved it aside. 

We stepped into a small room. There was a curved couch on one end that had a narrow shelf behind it to hold drinks. There was a booth on the other end to hold real food. 

This was part of a VIP area. The room opened on the other end directly onto the dance floor. The DJ was across from us on the far wall. The VIP rooms were partitioned off from the dance floor by a red velvet rope, with openings here and there so people could go in and out. A few bouncers were spaced along the velvet rope. 

"Not a word," was all Mac growled at me, then turned toward Mahina. 

"There are restrooms that are easier to get to off the VIP corridor. This guy gives you any problem, just let me know." 

Mac was grinning as he left. I just shook my head. 

"You plan on giving me any trouble?" Mahina asked me. She had a sly, teasing look on her face.

I gave Mahina one of those intense looks for a moment, leaning over to give her a kiss, stopping before our lips actually touched. 

"Yes m'am, as much trouble as you want, and if you truly want absolutely none..."

I let my voice trail off. I stayed where I was, close to her, my mouth was only inches from hers. I let her see my desire for her in my eyes. I let her make the first move, knowing all I was doing was waiting for permission. 

She reached up to pull my head to her. She was still an inch or so shorter than me in her heels. It was hard not taking her in my arms right then, but I settled for a kiss for now. I made it a slow, full, gentle kiss, full of future promises as I pulled away. 

I had a bit of laughter in my eyes, lightening the mood. The tinder had been lit, but I didn't want a blazing flame yet. I took her hand and we checked out the small area. 

"Something to eat first? Or something to drink? Or just dance?"

I wasn't about to suggest anything else to start with. Mahina gave me a smile and tugged my hand to the dance floor. I was happy to oblige. 

It was a good beat. I didn't recognize the song, but that didn't matter to me as she led me onto the crowded dance floor. I let the rhythm fill me, moving my feet.

She lifted her arms as she swayed. It felt good to dance, even if it wasn't quiet the same as dancing at home. I enjoyed being with her. I tried to keep my eyes on her face. The looks she gave me had me glad I could expel some of my excitement onto the dance floor. 

When we headed back to the alcove, there was a plate of appetizers, a chilled bottle of wine, and a bucket with a few beers and a couple of bottles of water. We sat and nibbled from the plate. She opted for the wine. I poured two glasses.  I was trying to figure out how to use any of dad's little drinking tips in this situation. 

When we stood to do some more dancing, I pulled her into me, took that longer, deeper kiss I wanted that left her breathless. I let her go, except for her hand, which I kissed the back of before leading her back to the dance floor. 

The beat was a bit wilder this time, and my feet stomped as if I was home. I liked experimenting, combining different dance styles. I got a few looks, but I ignored them, letting laughter conquer the moment. She laughed with me. I spun her around, did some spinning myself. The wolf played, enjoying the dance. She really did smell divine. I knew I could find her now, even in this crowd. 

Two times two. I kept my focus. There were occasions to touch. My hands ran along her sides, only for a moment, touching her shoulders, sliding down her arm lightly, holding one hand long enough to give it a squeeze. 

We were taking another break when I noticed Mac over by the DJ. I nudged Mahina. 

"He's up to something. Wish I knew what. Knowing the guys they'll probably try to embarrass me or something."

"How do you know him?"

"We became friends at the gym I work out at. Private place, mostly ex-military; guys who want to work out practicing skills few others use."

"And what skills do you practice there?"

"Mostly wrestling. You don't grow up where I did without learning how to wrestle. I was on the team in college, and before that in high school. I've had some pretty intense bouts. Nothing compared to a lacrosse game though. Around the groups I played with and against, if you couldn't tussle a bit you were useless for a lacrosse match."

Whatever I was going to say next was lost as the DJ said something about letting the wild side out, and let's hear the guys howl. I shot daggers at Mac, who just grinned. 

Good that he could play with it I guess. Better than him puking every time he turned around. 

"Wanna hear me howl? "

Mahina laughed. 

"Sure, give it a go. "

I moved us to the edge of the VIP area. Lots of guys were howling it up. I waited until they were mostly done before I let loose a long, loud, commanding true howl, showing them how it was done. 

There was complete silence on the floor by the time I finished my howl. I drew Mahina with me to the center of the dance floor. I left her in the empty middle for a second while I went over to the DJ. A row cleared before me. I asked him if he could play one from a website, and gave him the information. 

I glided back to Mahina, glanced at the DJ, who nodded. I grinned at Mac before turning back to Mahina. I put my finger to my lips in a shhh. 

The first note was a long lone flute note, it undulated down into a fast melody. Drums pounded a beat. I danced, a proud peacock showing off his feathers. My arms were out, my feet moving quickly in a staccato rhythm, my spins worked with the melody. I hated that I had no fringe to move with the dance. 

The howls when they came were part of the music. Up and down, the howls intertwined with the flute. The singer's voice mine, then and now as I howled again.

I remembered the night my cousins put the music together. Ancient sounds mixing with modern ones, quick staccato beats mixed with heavier bass poundings.  I had laughed then, enjoying their creativity. 

I laughed now, drawing Mahina into the dance, howling again, nodding to the guys standing around. By the time the song ended, the dance floor was full of spinning girls and stomping guys. 

We had to do a few sets of dance after that. I had a few girls try to get close. I finally stopped, picked one up, firmly set her down on the other side of me, gave all my attention back to Mahina. The guys who tried to get close to her found themselves pushed back by my dance movements and looking at my backside as I kept myself between them and Mahina as much as I could. 

I could shoot Mac for tonight's notoriety, or kiss him for it, I really couldn't decide which. True, the choice to howl was mine. I doubt anyone here had ever seen a smoke dance before. The smoke dance was usually done by the six nation people and not my own, but I loved the movement of it. My fellow dancers seemed to appreciate my footwork. I definitely stood out now.

Mahina's actions were a bit more possessive with the sudden attention I was getting. I decided I could get used to this kind of possessive from her. 

We headed back to our table, sat on the curved couch to enjoy more wine. We watched the dancers, commenting on those who could truly  dance. I told her about the bonfire dances back home, the ceremonial dances, the costumes. 

She had turned to me to hear better over the noise, leaning in, running her hand along my chest. I had my arm across her back, my fingers playing lightly along her open shoulder. Suddenly I couldn't resist moving in, kissing along her neck, her jawline, my tongue sliding against her flesh. My other hand slid around her waist to the small of her back.

She was arched, her one hand behind my head, fingers entwined in my hair, her other hand stroking my arm up and down . Her eyes were fluttering, head back some to give me room, encouragement for more intense kisses. I tasted and sucked along her jawline, nuzzled into the side of her neck. I couldn't help debating if I dared leave a hicky. 

I stopped the kisses finally, but didn't move from our embrace; my very breath proof of my desire. I kept the one hand behind her, the other had the back of my finger slide down against her cheek. Slower music was playing now. I led her once more to the dance floor, keeping her close. 

We were close enough, I knew she could feel me. My wants were conflicting in me. I wanted to spend the rest of the night becoming more familiar with her body. I wanted to make sure I didn't push. I wanted her to have her way with me, and my imagination went wild thinking of what she might choose to do. 

I wanted to wait, because if this relationship went anywhere serious, I wanted things to be perfect. 

I wanted her now.  

I groaned softly, nibbling the edge of her ear while we were on the dance floor.

It was the bright and early morning in the neighbourhood but something was different from every other day. Everyone around was focusing on one thing. They could all see a funny-looking boy dressed in his red uniform walking two steps at a time and then stopping, everytime he would stop he would look down at the piece of paper in his hands, that boy was our Grimreaper. Kai was focusing with his head down on the map figuring out where to go. Looking at the map nearly every 30 seconds while walking on the road. Scratching his head kai wondered "This was so much easier when I could fly, I could see everything and move a lot quicker". 

Kai continued to follow the map to his school making sure he didn't get lost. As he was walking black smoke started to appear just above Kai's head and started to form a ball-like shape. It flew in front of Kai's face and said "hello, master" It was the black spirit from the hospital.

Kai scorned at the spirit "What do you want?"
 
The black spirit started to fly around in circles and laughed 
"he he he remember mission, me help"
  
Kai dried to waft the sprit away like an annoying fly, but the sprit easily avoided it. 
"But how am I meant to find her, there are billions of people on this planet"

The black spirit laughed again.

"Fate, you will meet"

The black spirited started to disappear again and just before it did it said its last few words. 

"I will help"

At this point, Kai had reached and stopped at the local park, a small park with swings and a green area to play games on. Kai was looking at the map intensely. figuring out where he was. 

In the park, they where three Teenage boys knelt towards the floor huddled together. They were wearing the same uniform that Kai was, but their clothes were untucked and scruffled up. The three boys were sharing a cigarette, taking a puff each and passing it on to the next person.  Kyle, Peter and Mac, Kyle and Peter looked pretty similar, they both had died blonde dyed hair and an ear-piercing on their left ear, they were quite skinny for their age as well. The only difference between them was one had a short buzz cut while the other had hair coming down to their shoulders. Mac, on the other hand, was quite different his build was more of a lean sportsman, and he had no hair at all. 

One of the three Boys Kyle noticed Kai in the park. it seemed like Kai was talking himself. Kyle patted Mac on the shoulder who was in the centre of the three.

"Hey, Isn't that Jay, from our class?"

Peter squinted so he could see what kyle was talking about. He really needed glasses but thought they looked uncool so he decided to never wear them.

"You're right but he looks different, what is he doing," Peter said.

Mac stood up punching his fist into the palm of his hand.
"Boys, I think I've found our lunch meal for today"

The 3 boys walked towards Kai who was on the pathway next to the park. Kai was still looking down at his map not noticing the people approaching him.

Peter snatched the map out of Kai's hand and started to rip it into small pieces. 

"You haven't forgotten about us have you, Jay?" Kyle said.

"We want to get some food for lunch, so you know the deal right?"
Peter held out his hand open towards Kai expecting to receive some money.

Kai looked at the three boys who approached him, they smelt of cigarettes were dressed very poorly and their attitude stunk. 

"You disgusting humans do you have no manners?"

Kai looked at peters hand and tilted his head backwards, then flung his head forward and opened his mouth, out flew a piece of spit which landed right into the palm of peters hand. 

Peter flung his arm to try to get the spit to come off. The spit flew off of peters hand and landed on a shiny round surface. It was Mac's head. Mac's face turned red with anger.

"Get him!" Mac shouted. 

Kyle ran towards Kai, he attempted to throw a fist. Kai easily stepped to the side and avoided the punch. the momentum from Kyle swing carried kyle forward and Kyle was now behind Kai. While Mac stood in front and peter to Kai's other side. Kai was surrounded. 

"Three against one, you guys even fight dirty"

"You asked for it," Mac said.

Kai started to laugh.
"You think you have a chance against me, I am the son of death I have been trained to fight since I was a child you don't stand a chance"

Kai rose his hand towards the sky and looked up and shouted 
"Come forth my sword Scar!"

The three boys stood there trying to hold in their laughter. 

Kai attempted again to call forth his sword 
"Come forth my sword Scar!"

"idiot" Mac said while rushing towards Kai before kai could notice and react, Mac was already in front of him. Mac used his hard steelhead and headbutted Kai. As Kai's body flung backwards from the impact and landed on the ground. Kai's vision started to fade away and his last words could be heard. 

"This stupid week human body"

Death and Time, deal with what happens to humans once they die. Death decides to give his youngest son kai his first-ever task, but instead of taking a life, he ends up having to protect one instead. In order to do this Kai
must live in the human world. The problem is Kai has never been to the human world and doesn't really know how to act like one either.

Will Kai be able to use his Grimreaper powers to protect the people he cares about, or will he be stuck figuring out how to use his new human body.

It is 1:45 am when Agent Finerty and Agent Mac Guire break the door of a small house in a nice neighborhood in Philadelphia. Miranda pretty young mother, diagnosed pregnant with her second child, is no different from her husband. Smiling, nice, people are surprised to go to her on their own. Between them, never one word higher than the other. In this house, there is never a cry. Never a scream, at least until this morning 01:20am. At which time their closest neighbors, the Moore, heard agonizing screams accompanied by wild cries from the Llamar house.

When Agent Mac Guire enters the living room, he drops the gun that he holds into his hand. He knows after reading many reports of investigations, that here he will meet more corpses than aggressors. They signed and left, he said to him, examining, the strange symbol on the wall now white and red. This symbol, agent Mac Guire like every citizen of the United States, thanks to the talkative media, know him well. A simple Y inserted in what looks like a kind of camera super 8. "Bill here." Mac Guire, walks quickly to the voice of his colleague. He crosses the corridor, it smells strong, he thinks. Teddy bears, photos of a little girl, games, he has just entered what appears to be a child's room.
