Just an idea I had, feel free to build off it!

Most of us have had to deal with a computer virus or some sort of malware by now. It wasn't fun; it was annoying, time consuming, and very frustrating.
Install Anti-Virus/Malware Software.
This tip may go without saying, and I almost just casually mentioned it in my opening paragraph. However, I have seen many computers—especially home computers—that don't have anti-virus/malware protection. This protection is a must-have first step in keeping you computer virus free.
Keep Your Anti-Virus Software Up to Date
Having protection software is the first step; maintaining it is the second. Free anti-virus software is better than nothing, but keep in mind that it's not the best solution. Microsoft does provide a security package for "free." It's free in that if you have Windows on your machine, you are granted access, but you did pay for your Windows license. Many users aren't aware of this program, but it's actually decent protection.
Keep Your Operating System Current.
Whether you are running Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, or any other OS, keep it up to date. OS developers are always issuing security patches that fix and plug security leaks. These patches will help to keep your system secure. Similarly, keep your anti-virus software up to date. Viruses and malware are created all the time. Your scanning software is only as good as its database. It too must be as up to date as possible.

I know it's a long break (more than a year) but I had to focus on my studies. Now into a 2-year internship with lots of free time in my hand. Thus I've decided to continue the novel, at the very least I can guarantee that I can keep writing for the next couple of years.

Guys, I'll officially upload the next new chapter in a couple of weeks; I'm editing all the chapters released, to improve the standard. Re-evaluation of the novel showed my standard of writing is weak, which's obvious given the fact that English is only my third language.   

I'm working on improving my writing skills but for the immediate results, an Editor software has been subscribed for premium.  

Readers are welcomed to re-read the chapters edited, all edited chapters will have the date of editing in the 'author's thoughts'. I'll be editing at least three chapters every day.

I know many readers might be angry or disappointed with the inconsistency and huge break for which I extend my humble apology to all the readers. And will be extremely grateful for all those re-joining the ride and thanks for reading my book.

The old man saw Zhang Zian hesitate. He thought he was going to be politely refused, so he turned around to get help.
Zhang Zian's hesitation disappeared and he smiled. "Sure, I have time now. Let's find a seat. Where would you like to sit?"　
"Anywhere will do!" The old man was thrilled. He looked around to find a seat as quickly as he could, just in case Zhang Zian changed his mind.　　
Once Zhang Zian made up his mind, he wouldn't change it. He put his phone in his pocket and pointed at an empty table in the corner. "How about over there? There are two free computers next to each other."　
"Okay!" The old man slowly followed Zhang Zian to the corner with his cane.
Zhang Zian pulled out the chair for him. They took their seats, with a computer in front of both of them.　　
"Uncle, I'm just wondering. Why don't you use the touch screen terminals like the other senior citizens? Isn't it more convenient?" Zhang Zian asked while moving the mouse to wake the computer up.　　
"I don't think I'm that old. I want to spend time with young people, and use what they use." The old man leaned his cane against the desk and laughed. "I practiced typing for this reason. I bought some primary school textbooks and learned Pinyin. I know how to surf the internet, but the computers here seem different."　　
The old man introduced himself. His last name was Zhou. His wife passed away long ago, and his children and grandchildren worked in different cities and didn't visit often. He learned new things to kill time.　　
Zhang Zian realized how much he hated being old. He started calling him "Mr. Zhou," which he preferred to "Uncle" as it made him feel younger.　
After logging in, Zhang Zian realized something was wrong. The operating system in the computers wasn't Windows nor Mac OS, but a massively customized special system with simplified functions. There was no Resource Manager or Control Panel or Internet Explorer or chatting tools. It was connected to a local network, so the Internet wasn't available. 
The computers were All-in-One computers like Mac, fixated on the desks. There was nothing in the back, no USB or Thunderbolt ports. There were only the power and cable ports along with PS/2 ports for the keyboard and mouse. There wasn't even a place to plug earphones in. 
It would take time for young people to get used to the computer, let alone Mr. Zhou.　　
Equipping the library with this type of computer effectively blocked viruses and prevented illegal transmissions of e-books. The library also had easy-to-use touch screen terminals for the elderly, but some elderly hated to feel old.　
Zhang Zian opened a customized reading software and worked on it for a while before teaching Mr. Zhou to search for books by category and other things like changing the background color and adjusting the font size.　　
"Young man, what are they doing over there?" Mr. Zhou pointed to the front.　　
Zhang Zian noticed it, too. People on the fifth floor weren't reading, they were typing, as if they were chatting online. Surely, they couldn't log into QQ here, so what were they typing?　　
"Wait a moment, Mr. Zhou. I'll have a look."　　
He walked behind the row of young people and observed, an idea forming in his mind.
The fifth floor was a digitalized reading and communication area, where people could talk in a chatroom. Readers could recommend books to others or ask others about a book they were searching for.　　
The readers that visited during the holidays were well-educated, so the chatroom was friendly. There was always help for those who needed it, and even if no one was able to help, they made others feel welcome.　
It was fair to say that this was a smart investment for the library. Setting up a chatroom not only relieved the help desk of some work, it fostered passion and friendship among readers.　
Zhang Zian returned to his seat and opened the chatroom for Mr. Zhou, so that he could communicate with others.　　
Mr. Zhou was enjoying himself. Even though he typed slowly with one finger, he attentively commented on books. When other readers sought help, he always did what he could to help, but most people got help from others before he could finish typing.
"Mr. Zhou, I need to leave for a moment. If you have questions, I'll answer them when I return." Zhang Zian took out his phone to search for the elfin one last time.　　
"Okay. Thank you." Mr. Zhou nodded, eyes glued to the screen. If he was 40 years younger, Mr. Zhou might have been addicted to the Internet.　　
On game map, the icon indicating the elfin's location was darker. It would disappear soon.　
As soon as Zhang Zian stood, he heard Mr. Zhou mumblie, "Why does this kid always disturb people?" 　　
"What's the matter?" Zhang Zian thought Mr. Zhou had another question, then bent down behind him to look at the screen.　　
"Look at this kid, always typing ridiculous stuff. Nobody knows what he's up to." Mr. Zhou said, pointing at the screen. 　　
Most people in the chatroom used nicknames, but Mr. Zhou called everybody "kid."　　
Everybody in the chatroom was friendly, with the exception of one person. He was the bad egg.　　
[Pancake]: I've been obsessed with The Silk Road by Bill Porter. Any other recommendations?  
[Jackdaw]: That book is a travel log at best, just worth skimming through. If you want something serious, I recommend the book by Peter Frankopan with the same name.　
[Coco]: I've been watching you guys talk, and I recommend Valerie Hansen's The Silk Road: A New History. I just returned it, so it should be in Section B1 on the second floor.

Zhang Zian stood behind Mr. Zhou and observed for a while. No matter what others were talking about in the chatroom, the mysterious user always typed the first 100 digits of Pi. Regardless of whether the other readers asked nicely or rebuked furiously, he never talked back, just kept typing the same numbers.　
The readers were all well-educated and polite, they wouldn't have used such words had they not been annoyed. The problem was that there wasn't an administrator in the chatroom, so they could get as angry as they wanted, but there was nothing they could do about this person.　　
Mr. Zhou frowned. "I think it's a kid. A naughty kid, naughtier than my grandchildren. He needs to be disciplined!"　　
Zhang Zian stood up, and looked around the hall of the fifth floor once again. He was focused on finding the elfin earlier, and only took a brief glance around. He didn't pay attention to the age, gender, or appearance of the readers, as none of them could've been the elfin he was searching for.　 
There were about 200 PCs in the reading area of the fifth floor, and less than half of them had someone in front of the screens. Although the readers appeared close in the chatroom, they were spread everywhere in reality. Very few people sat next to each other, unless they were friends in real life. 
As Zhang Zian glanced around the room, a young girl in another corner stood up and glanced around. They met each other eyes, then she smiled and sat down. She might be Coco in the chatroom.　　
As Coco said, there were no children on the fifth floor, and the youngest people here were at least 18 years old. They appeared serious, and didn't seem to be playing a prank.
As for the senior citizens reading on the touch screen terminal, they didn't seem to have the chatroom function, so it probably wasn't them.　　
This just got weird.

Chapter 15. Daedongyeojido, Part II

The destructive power created Kim Tae-hoon's fist was enormous yet horrifying. The wall crumbled like a cookie. Splatter! The parts of the wall fell to the floor like a piece of a cookie. 

'Ah!'  However, Jang Sung-hoon was not surprised by Kim Tae-hoon's fist. All he could see was a ball of translucent vinyl through the broken wall. 

Tap tap!  Kim Tae-hoon took the plastic bag out of the wall and immediately handed it to Jang Sung-hoon. Jang Sung-hoon accepted it carefully and began to release the plastic. After the plastic was removed from the skin, a luxurious blue roll of silk appeared. 

'It's not a common silk.'  The silk itself looked like a very high-quality product. The texture was the same. Jang Sung-hoon's touch revealed that the silk was not a relic, but quality silk that was not cheap. Yet it was nothing compared to what was hiding inside the silk. 

"… this is so ridiculous." 

A book was revealed within the silk. It was an old book, which could be looked to a normal person as an ordinary book. 

'How could this be here?' The letters written on the cover of the book in black ink were enough to make Jang Sung-hoon's mind go dark.

"… it's Daedongyeojido." 

Daedongyeojido. 
What kind of explanation was needed? 
It was the most precious thing Gosanja Kim Jeong-ho had seen in his whole life, and it was also a heritage for future generations. For them to explain and evaluate it would just be ridiculous. 

"It's different from the Daedongyeojido that I know."

One question came to mind when Kim Tae-hoon heard this. "What's the highest level of monsters we've ever seen?"
 
"There is a dark blue light on Mt. Halla and Mt. Baekdu in Jeju Island."
 
Dark blue meant that there was a monster of the same grade as the dragon at the beginning and the end of the Korean Peninsula.
 
That was not good news.
 
It was a kind of evidence that this world had become so much more miserable than they had imagined.
 
But there was something else they had to worry about right now; an orange light and a red light were moving on the map!
 
That meant the monsters were moving!

It was Brown Goblins, attacking the cleaners who were working the road cleared by Kim Tae-hoon. They were familiar monsters to the Mac Clan's soldiers and Bang Hyun-wook.
 
"Everybody, get on the truck!"
 
A Brown Goblin itself was weak. An ordinary armed adult man could sufficiently deal with it.
 
Kieee!
 
The problem was that Brown Goblins moved under the command of a Hobgoblin, not individually. Moreover, the unique spell of the Hobgoblin took away the pain and fear from Brown Goblins.
 
The monsters who lost their pain and horror were terrifying over the imagination. The ferocious waves of the monster groups, numbering more than a hundred, destroyed the fighting spirit of those who faced them, before the fight.
 
"Awooo!"
 
In front of this scene, Bang Hyun-wook used the Howling power which he had acquired by eating the monster stone of a Black Wolf given by Kim Tae-hoon.
 
He dashed toward the Brown Goblins running at him, with the Howling. It was to earn some time and to express his confidence at the same time.
 
"I'll kill you all!" At the shout, Bang Hyun-wook's Energy churned. The Energy made his whole body grow stronger.
 
Except for Kim Tae-hoon, he had the highest stats in Strength and Health among the Awakeners. Therefore, being stronger than before would be a terrifying thing for the Brown Goblins that had to face him.
 
Moreover, he was wrapped by the leather armor of the Black Orc.
 
The leather of the Black Orc was not as strong as the leather of the Black Snake, but it was not the leather which the teeth or the nails of the Brown Goblins could do anything to. Therefore, the battlefield that Bang Hyun-wook threw himself into was like a free batting practice for him.
 
'Free batting is that you set the ball and hit it with a bat, free.' 

There only difference was that a Brown Goblin's head was in place, instead of the ball.
 
Bang! So Bang Hyun-wook started to go crazy. Meanwhile, the Mac Clan's soldiers in the truck also passed Bang Hyun-wook, and began to pull the trigger at the approaching Brown Goblins.
 
Tutu! Now their shots were controlled, not wasting bullets, and not pointing guns at allies. No one was as frightened as before and just fired blindly toward the Brown Goblins.
 
"Kieee!"
 
Of course, the Goblins that ran into controlled gunshots began to fall rapidly. Nevertheless, the rush of Brown Goblins gradually narrowed the distance to the truck. There was no stopping them. They seemed to be getting faster every time they stepped on a dead colleague.
 
Kieee! The same was true of the anger in their eyes. The death throes of their companions fanned their anger. 

It was a featherless arrow from somewhere that reversed the situation.
 
Swish!
 
The movement of the arrow that appeared was similar to that of a skilled person sewing beads. The arrow began to move like it was sewing the heads of the Brown Goblins.
 
Bloosh! The running Brown Goblins began to fall to the ground like puppets with cut strings, some falling on them and others falling on them again, then a wall was made.
 
Kieeek!The remaining Goblins fell to the ground, piling onto the bodies of their fellows. It was total chaos. In this ridiculous situation, the survivors were surprised at this absurd jaw-dropping scene, but not for long.

There was no reason to doubt who created this ridiculous sight.
 
"Master! Master is here!"
 
The main character was like a savior to those here now. A real Messiah.
 
There was no one who would not be proud at the appearance of their savior.
 
"Master is here!"
 
"Kill them all!"
 
So now the eyes of those facing the Brown Goblins began to burn. The spirit they created reached the Hobgoblin, who was commanding the Brown Goblins far away.
 
Kirr kirrk!
 
The Hobgoblin shuddered at the spirit that crushed the madness it had created. It was its last act. 

His shivering head fell to the ground. A well-prepared Sword had sliced through the Hobgoblin's neck. At the same time, the pain and horror taken away were returned to the Brown Goblins.
 
Kiee! Kii, kiii! The Brown Goblins, again feeling pain and horror, began to run away speaking weak death throes. 

Bang Hyun-wook looked at the Goblins who ran away silently, and he saw Kim Tae-hoon, who came back after finishing everything.

Jang Sung-hoon carefully wrapped Daedongyeojido and the writing of Choosa Kim Jeong-hee with silk. However, he didn't need to. When they became the relics, they gained new lives. There was no need to worry about them getting worn out. But he could not dare do otherwise.

To mistreat a relic which could be only described with the word 'treasure' dared not be done by those who devoted their passion and dreams to art. 

Jang Sung-hoon prepared a bag to put the precious treasure in. The bag was also a bag containing important things that he always had to carry.
 
"Eh?"
 
 For example, it had a crystal glass decorated with gold that contained red liquid.

The world has changed and so have the people.

December 31st, 2016 – the day before New Year's. Kim Taehoon was just casually shopping for groceries at the large store. Monsters suddenly appeared out of thin air. The First Hunter is a short Korean, action-fantasy novel situated in a post-apocalyptic world. Monsters start appearing out of nowhere and people are unlocking strange powers. Those who unlock such powers are called ‘Hunters’, ones with the strength to kill the monsters. To fight and survive, that is their goal. Society crumbles and the world burns.

A very fun novel that dives into the plot almost instantly. The novel is interesting in a way that it depicts a lot of human nature and what people would do in a situation such as this is quite an accurate manner. The character development is also very good as you get to learn about the characters, their backgrounds, and their stories. All in all, this is another novel I’d recommend to a lot of readers who are interested in reading fantasy and gaming novels.

The items Laura bought earlier sold for around 2000 Apts. After buying a home defense shield, the freeman's book, 2 computers worth 300 Apts each and a server worth 700 the duo had a total of 150 Apts remaining, considering Alex had bought a smartphone for Laura earlier with his remaining 20 Apts but got a few items from Laura to sell he had 50 Apts and Laura had 100 remaining.

The computers were surprisingly laptops with a futuristic OS and a 3D hologram instead of a monitor. The keyboard was still there God knows why but there was also a weird device which looked like a thin headband but more sleek embedded inside next to the keyboard. Alex put his on and decided to see what it would do, he extended his hand intending to turn on the laptop but it turned itself on telling him what the headband was fore. The bootup was fast and in a few seconds he was already exporing the OS. Laura too decided to put on the headband and it seemed weightless, didnt feel uncomfortable like headphones and made her think how far had technology progressed for such a convenient thing to be possible.
Alex wondered why the keyboard even existed but there are always purists everywhere who prefer it, this also made him feel a bit more familiar to the device albeit the 3D solid hologram looked a bit too solid.

"Werent holograms supposed to be glitchier? look fake? or even all blue? I guess the movies got one thing wrong, they dont look like 90s TV screens"

Out of impulse he tried touching the hologram but was unable to. He started exploring the OS and decided to use headband since it would basically read his mind to do what he wanted not what he ordered, plus he didnt have to worry about some giant corporation reading his mind because they dont even exist yet. Convenient for someone who doesnt know how to even open a file in the futuristic interface using the keyboard. He had the specs open and they basically blew out anything any current super computer could offer. Some of these figures he couldnt even recognize despite currently studying software and computers. There was no RAM or SDD/HDD mentioned so he thought perhaps the technology grew to the point Cache and Registers took over (Yes I am geeking out, just think of it as ultra fast RAM but inside the CPU). The CPU had around 5Ghz with 24 Cores, made by some weird named company.

He again marveled at the technology but Laura was already busy reading her book after a few mins of playing with her laptop, having no interest in the tech geek doing his thing. With their memory they learnt at a pretty fast pace, by nightfall they had memorized the thick and large book. Memory doesnt mean understanding but it makes it easier to get there

Next morning Alex went to college as usual thinking about how his life seemed to be picking up pace. Walking onwards, out of pure geek love he took out his phone. He had already downgraded his mobile software to robot and installed all the important apps thankfully the phone was compatible with it. Just thinking of the specs on this bad boy made him want to run. again. He opened the camera app and saw no difference between looking through the screen or through his eyes. A passerby happened to glance on his screen and thought it was just a hollow rectangle.

'Young man seemed to have gone mad from pressure at college, I should give my son a break so he doesnt go mad too'

Not realizing that he had helped some poor college student Alex continued acting like an idiot. He took a selfie and slowly reached college.
The day went as usual, the students took out their phones to take notes from the board. so did Alex. Writing like idiots in notebooks is for school students after all. Incidentally Ray was sitting next to Alex and glanced at the phone while he was taking a picture

"Young master seems to have gone mad, he is using a weird rectangle to look at the board"

Alex heard Ray and turned towards him putting his phone down. Ray saw the back of the phone and realized it wasnt a triangle while Alex realized he will probably have a lot of questions to answer and that it would probably be better to hide his phone

"Young master, Where can I get such a phone? Its camera is better than any I have seen and it looks so elegant"

Judging that it was too late to hide it, he thought of an excuse but failed miserably

"Thats a secret"

"Come on Alex money isnt a problem ill give you 20 bucks if you tell me what brand"

"Sorry Ray its a experimental build from a friends company, if you want it you will have to wait for it to be released until then you will have to wait"

And whenever something interesting happens of course there is a peanut gallery.

"How much for your phone?"

"I offer 2 grands!"

The commotion attracted other people who also wished to buy the phone which got the attention of a rich guy, I mean if such a rich guy wants it so badly how good must it be? If it was a common model he could have just bought it himself but more importantly how did Alex get such a thing, he wasnt rich or powerful nor did he have ties to a tech company so how exactly did he get it? Well thinking about it wouldnt solve the question instead it was better to get their hands on such a thing. The situation quickly escalated and Alex knew he would be busted if anyone got their hand on his phone and realized it had better specs than their computers. He quickly put it away and glared at Ray

"Dont look at me like that, I might blush."

"I will let you play with it if you help me."

What else could he do? He could hide it but, that would just put more attention on him. Letting Ray play with it was just the lesser evil

"Young master is wise. Everyone listen up! Anyone who gets to the cafeteria within 5 mins will receive a free drink from me!"

Who doesnt love free stuff? Especially with such a short time limit giving them no real time to think, phones can be bought but free stuff is only given with opportunity. Everyone rushed to the cafe and Ray passed a message, having 40% of the shares comes with a lot of privileges. Such as the reduction of available drinks or removal of the expensive ones, dont underestimate the words 'free drinks' it would cost a lot to let so many people drink as much as they wished and as a wise sage once said every penny is a good penny.

"Here you go, just so you know it was all your fault and I want it back by the time I go home"

Locking up his private files and porn he passed the phone to Ray who immediately started playing with its camera taking selfies and just random pictures like he would actually get to keep them. Alex vowed to delete those as soon as he got the phone back. After a while of playing Ray looked at Alex seriously and said

"So where did you really get this phone? Its better than my computer."

Ray wasnt an idiot, especially not an idiot in a computer course.

"Do I have to say?"

"No you dont but, I will pay you 50 grand for it"

Such a price would never be offered for a phone, unless you planned to figure out how to make it. Ray's father was a realestate company owner although he had nothing to do with technology he knew a few companies which bought land from him which did. Ray being his son planned to use those connections to start his own tech company and this phone seemed too good to pass up regardless of how it ended up in Alex's hand.

Alex knew of his ambitions as he often joked about making his own company or hiring Alex often met with a joke of his own. The hiring might be a joke but seeing Ray in a computer related course he knew the company was not. He thought of selling the phone but decided against it as even if he could not reverse engineer it, someone might decide to get its production method from the source and the only one who knew the source was. Him. Although he might be a bit late to cover up he decided to salvage as much as possible besides, 50 grands may seem a lot but if his plan worked out as well as he thought it would such little cash would mean nothing! He would then buy a real manual which wouldnt come from a shady source, assuming the app wouldnt fuck him over.

"Its kind of the only one of its kind so I dont want to sell it, thanks for thinking highly of it. I will tell my friend that you want one too"

Ray returned the phone once the conversation was finished as if his time limit was up. Alex got lost in his thoughts as usual and silence filled the classroom with only the two of them. Alex for the first time felt an urgent need for something to truly defend himself. So what if he wouldnt be damaged by bullets? It just means the enemy doesnt need to worry about killing him when trying to capture him. So what if he has a gun which can kill them with a single shot? He wasnt trained to use it. He decided to look up something to help him aim in the apocalypse market when he got home.

As if on queue the love letter girl came in class

"Amelia I am not in the mood for it, for the last time I wouldnt send you a love letter if it killed me"

Alex not in the mood to play with her, lashed out at her perhaps due to the fear of danger or anger at his careless self.

"Thats not.. Alex could we talk in private for a while?"

A bit apologetic for lashing out earlier, he agreed. The two of them went to a corner and she asked him about how he made those items look like they glitched out and disappear, was he a magician practicing his magic tricks?

"I was just practicing magic tricks I learnt online. want me to show you?"

She nodded and he picked up a random item laying around, took out the toy gun and shot it. Today seemed to be the day his carelessness would bite him, first the phone now the playing around. He just wished to get today over with quickly.

"Whats this weird toy gun, it look magical."

"Let me tell you a secret Amelia."

Dear Diary,
I want to tell you about my first week at the Cetviwos. Actually, I want to explain stuff to you, because explaining things is a form of learning and furthers comprehension. And I need comprehension badly!
In the morning, I have read the diary of a crazy alchemist. I might have been a bit jealous of his ramblings. Just kidding. Aidan, don't write words in caps no matter what.
Let's start with the beginning. I radically renovated my kitchen. I didn't intend to, it happened when I mixed up my favorite hat with the cooking pot. My dear son Robby insisted I can't live alone anymore. Of course, he is wrong about that. We figured out an alternative to a retirement home, the virtual reality.
The VR is called Cetviwos. Cetviwos stands for Cet = CentralTank−that's the company, which owns them−Vi = Virtual and Wos = Worlds.
The access point to the VR are pods, which look like coffins. While you lie in them, your consciousness gets transported into another world via brainwave technology. That's a fancy way of saying they are reading our minds. Maybe they write too. 
This gets scarier and scarier. I know nothing, but that I know nothing. It just seems kind of logical to me. How can they know where a player wants to go? They have to transform the WILL (you may write "will" in caps Aidan) to an action. In my book, that's mind-reading. 
Now to the writing part. I'm pretty sure they don't have heat coils in the coffins, okay maybe they do, let's take an even more improbable example: smells. They sure as burned toast in hell haven't included 1000s of smells in the boxes. Therefore they must have an interface, which simulates the smells right into the brains of their clients. That's me. And my son. And my best friend. 
I believe there is a difference between simulating external stimuli and simulating internal emotions. So the question is open if they can mind-control us. But with total control over external stimuli, you can easily facilitate conditioning. 
The most terrible thing is that VR is really fun. I'm already addicted. Besides, we wash our bodies regularly, at least I did before entering the pod, so why not let my brain get washed too? Honestly, I'm kind of interested in their methods and results, but I would feel better if I only risked my bit of tattered grey matter to find out more and not my sons!
But I'm not finished talking about them reading my brain! They have an unhealthy obsession with it. 
Ten years ago, I beta-tested software for CentralTank. You could get goodies by giving them access to your personal data. Aidan, forget what I told about writing words in caps. I need more CAPS to express myself adequately. I summarize: THEY WANT BRAINZ. I was totally addicted to the CAD-System, not only because of the incredible user experience but also because of the charming company of my AI assistant Evai.
Okay, I didn't want to go that deep into the subject, but this VR stuff was incredible then and is even more so now. You can do MAGIC! With padding thoughts with the right amount of willpower, I can move objects telekinetically or reshape them. I tell you, it's a rush. You feel like you have the power of gods in your hands … or in your mind … at your fingertips. Whatever, let's go with easily accessible.
I can still do this type of magic in the Cetviwos, at least where magic isn't suppressed. Actually, I haven't tested it in a prohibited area. Aidan, write it on the to-do list.

BRAINZ. I followed the same strategy in the Cetviwos as in my old software: Just sign every bit of privacy away for some nifty features.
I didn't think about what they would do with all the data. I just assumed the usual stuff, personalized ads, or sharpening the algorithms. Imagine my surprise when I ran into myself.
Yes, myself. Okay, I haven't met her, but I got messages from the AI version of myself. They built an artificial intelligence with all the BRAINZ. 
I should have told the week chronically. That wasn't the first time they interpreted what they could do with my data too freely. Let's return to the beginning. 
I didn't know CentralTank was behind my old software. The evidence mounted during character creation. 
(By the way, I hold the record for the longest time spent in character creation and received sweet rewards for my efforts: I train attributes and mana skills around five times faster than other people.)
 I found out because not only seemed the VR software familiar, and my old commands worked, but also I discovered my design works were scattered all over the world: Fountains, Spaceships, Runes, something with carpentry they admitted to, but I have yet to remember, my workshop design and last but not least, my countenance. 
Yes, the gorgeous *cough* face of yours truly is no longer unique. Evailyn, a goddess of the game, used it. I don't mind. She is the same AI who helped me years ago in the beta-software. At least I think so. I'm pretty sure going by her behavior and feel, but there are timeline issues, which I don't understand. 
Additionally, she is the Goddess of household appliances. I would have joined her cause even if I hadn't known her before. Because we are friends, she gave me a conveyed class, Champion. I haven't really understood what's so special about it. Something with influencing what kind of power is in charge of regulating the storyline… 
Urgh, understanding my job should probably on my to-do list. Alright, I should have already checked it, but better late than never−Especially because I have to defend the class from other candidates next Sunday Two. 
What if the competition is like those Miss Universe pageants with a question section, and somebody asks me about it!
I can visualize my self standing in front of a microphone, wearing my trusty old training mech-suit (and a sash with little toasters on it), and a jury member asks: "What would you do as a Champion of the Yellow High Faction?"
"Building toasters." 
"How would you further the agenda of the Yellow High Faction?" 
"Building more toasters." 
That wouldn't fly well. Okay, if Evailyn sits in the jury, maybe it would get me some points.
I don't even know the goals of the yellow faction! Please tell me about them, Aidan.
Hahaha. Oh, dear, really? CentralTank should have spent a bit of time pulling an agenda out of their butts. How hard could it be?
Where was I? 
Right, CentralTank stole my designs. I received a lot of VirDias as compensation. Don't get me started on the currencies of the Cetviwos! And the taxes!
What else to say about them? 
Their policy towards AIs is a bit strange. Not only did they create AIs out of real persons, but they also treat their regular AIs with impunity. I bought Aidan in the Cetviwos shop, but one of the AI handlers of Central Tank sent Aitoshuri to me. The accompanying letter confused me. They continuously play games with her−lower her rating, then raising it again. Sometimes they threaten to delete her. Now, that I speak about it, maybe it's because I shouldn't look at CentralTank as one entity but as multiple persons with diverging goals. I only met the AI-Handler Iddy, who seemed nice enough and the Headmaster, a gloomy dude, and the Doge, a business clown. 
My AIs have strong opinions about the Headmaster. Aidan fears him, and Aito dislikes him.
We will see what developments will take place. At least when I obtain the AI version of myself, I will know more.
Let's wait and see. As long as they don't mess with my current AIs, Aidan, Haidan, and Aitoshuri, I'm perfectly alright with forgetting they even exist.
Next topic: my son Robby. He is the one who introduced me to the virtual world. He leads the clan Riverstones−a company specialized in helping rich people level up. Mia calls it "Babysitting". She is one of his employees and my henchgirl. Yes, I have a henchgirl!
The clan Riverstones isn't faring that well. I only deduced it from hints. On the other hand, I just left a clan party, and the mood was very good. Even though it was exhausting to be nice to Robby's terrible fiancée, Ressa. I will channel some goodies in Robby's direction when I get away with it without appearing to meddlesome. On Monday Two, I'll build a training facility for the clan.
Well, training, another major topic in my week. I spent a lot of time to optimize my training. You need to train to grow your stats, but I'm no gym-rat. So I built a training coffin and training tunnel to work out while crafting and sleeping. The results are pretty neat. I exceeded the usual stats of a level one player, and I'm now a Mini-Master. Hahaha, cute. That's the name for level one players with abnormally high stats. If I figure out how the rest of the game works, I'll be fine. 
I put my stats to test on the Hero's Entrance and cleaned up a garbage themed instance and caught the culprit, albeit with some difficulties.
At the beginning of the week, I had problems with letting go of my real-life fears. It's hard to acclimate at my age to the concept of not being mortal. Training free-running and martial arts are helping in this regard. I'm now able to fight and take risks. I'm not sure how long I will continue with the training, but I noticed as soon as I take a break, my fears come back. Maybe in a month or two, I will be fully immersed in this new reality.
Unfortunately, I had too little time to build many toasters. First, I finished an old design, a showy thing of gold and diamonds, then I designed one to digest the Metaworld, a boring standard one, and at last flying one. Only the last toaster I love. Additionally, I built a robot toaster, which toasts traps and throws them. Well, I promise to do better next week!
I think that was my week. Now, I'm ready to explore the Cradle, the world for level 1- level 5 players. 
Another thing I haven't figured out are classes. I obtained a bunch of them, mostly because I wanted to connect my favorites so far: the Champion, the Technician, and the mage classes.
Only Animator is on my to to-do list for the Cradle. Right, Aidan, I forgot I wanted a melee class to support close combat. I should probably pick up more of the divine classes as a divine Champion. 
Thank you for reminding me about the quest from the librarian. It felt like a lifetime ago. We are definitely going to do it. I'm excited to find out what class System thinks fits me.

That morning Jasper, Scarlet, and Alex turned up at school together and it became the hottest topic on campus. By noon, the trio became dubbed as the P.D.F. as a short for Prince, Doll, and Freak.

The rumours reached Scarlet's ears and she wondered why Jasper got the Freak title. She would have gladly claimed it for herself. It must be the new hairstyle that Mr Beyonce gave her that got her the Doll title.

The attention they got everywhere disrupted classes so much that the teachers allowed the trio to go for a self-study session in the library. Scarlet did a little dance in her head to celebrate ditching boring lessons. The teacher said that as long as they kept their grades up, the school would not take their attendance into consideration. The power of fame and influence was truly amazing.

This time, Venessa and Sadiya weren't as surprised when the three little school superstars made their appearance while classes were still in session. apparently, the balding school principal passed down a chain of command to treat them like precious royalty.

"Would you like to have a private room? I think we're able to block the room permanently for your use if you'd like. Do you have any preference?" the young librarian asked.

Alex blinked and Jasper shrugged, leaving the decision entirely in Scarlet's hands. Scarlet thought for a while. The elementary section of the library was on the first level and had no privacy with so many people walking in and out. Fortunately, the higher floors of the library were restricted to the bigger kids who were in college. However, they couldn't access it without a card. The atmosphere there was more silent and better for studying with many small private rooms but it didn't come with computers.

"Grandma... are we able to book any room in the library? Even those on the upper floors?"

Grandma Sadiya smiled. "Of course. We've readied your passes to. Also, I thought that you might require a private room with a computer for research purposes. Can I recommend a room that I think you would like?"

Grandma Sadiya's eyes were shining and Scarlet raised a brow. Scarlet didn't think that such a room existed in the library. Still, she wouldn't turn it down if such a room existed.

"We have a librarian office at the back but Venessa and I hardly use it. It's where returned books are shelved and new books are kept for barcoding before being introduced to the system. It's also the only place that has a side door exit to the toilet with a pantry that you can have snacks in."

"Sounds like a good deal," Scarlet admitted. "Is that even allowed?"

Sadiya rolled her eyes and snorted. "I'm the head librarian. If anyone has an issue they can take it up with me... I'll shove my foot so far up thei-"

"Don't say such things! The baby can hear you!" Venessa chided and the head librarian piped down again while grumbling.

Scarlet snickered while Alex looked scandalised by Grandma Sadiya's foul language. The matter was quickly settled and all three children were given special access cards before they were shown to the office. Scarlet had some difficulty reaching the card scanner and had to jump to tap the card. Alex thought that it was adorable but kept the comment to herself. Jasper said something about Scarlet's size and was given a merciless kick to the shin. She didn't want to mess with the school Doll no matter how cute she thought Scarlet was.

After getting cosy with milo and biscuits, the trio was finally given some privacy. Scarlet took five minutes to clean the plate off food while the ancient-looking bulky computer whirred to life. It was very slow, but it did the job. Scarlet tapped her fingers impatiently while the screen loaded and Alex wondered what the fuss was all about. Jasper didn't care so much and started flipping through a new book he picked out from the neatly stacked cardboard boxes.

A few minutes later after many rapid clicks and tapping on the keyboard, Scarlet let out a triumph cry.

"Ok, now we can commence our secret meeting. In today's meeting, we shall decide on a team name and the plan to become independent financially and socially. For starters, I will let you know who I truly am."

Jasper put the book down, interested in what the odd girl had to say for herself. Alex was confused but went with the flow. Scarlet showed them a very dull looking weblog page and signed in. neither of them recognised what that was but from the background stats, Scarlet had a few hundred subscribers. That was a rather good pool of followers for someone so young. They were more surprised when Scarlet admitted that she hasn't started the Human Observation Journal too long ago.

"Yes, it is I - Pirate S. the captain of this blog. As you can see, I think I have a flair for writing so the first part of the Grand Plan towards freedom would be to publish a book because books make a lot of money right?"

Jasper and Alex shared a look. Was Scarlet serious?

"I don't know how to write books, I can't even do a proper essay..." Jasper admitted. While he excelled without effort for Math and Science, the same could not be said for language.

Alex shook her head when Scarlet looked at her. "I don't know anything about writing books. Ah! I could help you draw the cover if you'd like. I've been secretly watching videos about drawing using a software and I find it fascinating."

"We only have one computer here and it isn't going to work very well for drawing," Jasper pointed out.

Alex smiled brightly. "Don't worry about it, I'll just ask for a laptop from my father. He should have many spares lying around in the company, it shouldn't be difficult for him to get a hold of one for me."

Jasper and Scarlet looked at Alex with raised brows although the boy's eyebrows were hidden beneath his bangs. For all the shortcomings Alex had, being rich was probably a redeeming feature in a group like theirs.

"That's actually going to help us a lot... thank you Alex!" Scarlet smiled plastically but Alex thought it was the sincerest thing in the world and blurted out that they should feel free to request more things from her if she could be of any help.

"How about packed meals?" Jasper suggested. "That way we won't need to waste time queuing in the cafeteria for food. I don't think the librarians will mind if we eat there as long as we don't make too much of a mess..."

Scarlet took out a foolscap pad and pencil case from her bag. She wrote in big letters at the top of the page things that they required. Jasper and Alex threw in ideas that seemed great at first but a little more ridiculous after ten minutes when Alex suggested bringing a spare luxurious Italian leather sofa from one of her guest rooms for sitting comfort.

"Ok, let's take it slow and stop for now... we're only starting to make a plan so that I can convince your mother. Let's start thinking about the Team name so that we can publish the book."

"I'm not going to be of much help here," Jasper pointed out and Scarlet shook her head before pointing the pencil in his direction. "You're going to help us with research and tutor us before the exams. Although we're given special privileges, I don't think Mrs Wilde will be pleased if it starts affecting our grades."

The boy shrugged. "I guess I can do that then. How about using the name the school gave us? P.D.F.?"

Scarlet thought about it and frowned. "Sounds too geeky. besides, Prince, Doll & Freak sounds like a very random author name. Nobody will take the story seriously..."

"What is the story you're going to write?" Alex asked.

Scarlet grinned. "I'm going to write about a super-being who lost his memories and goes on an adventure to find out who he truly is. I haven't decided on the title yet..."

"I still think I like P.D.F. because it represents the three of us... how about keeping it but changing the initials to something like Pretty Dancing Fairy?"

Scarlet cringed internally at Alex's naming sense and Jasper coughed to disguise his laugh. That kind of name with the storyline didn't match.

"I think we need something more suited for the story's genre... how about something like Permanent Discovery Fantasy?"

Scarlet frowned. "Sounds too much of a mouthful. Permanent Fantasy?"

Alex shook her head. "We don't want this to just be a fantasy, do we? Permanent... Freedom?"

While it sounded close to what they wanted, Permanent Freedom sounded odd. "Freedom always comes at a cost," Jasper reminded them.

"Freedom and cost huh..." Scarlet sighed and reflected on the events that happened yesterday. While the other two children were thinking hard, an idea hit Alex hard and she clapped her hands with excitement.

"Frost! It's short for the phrase 'Freedom comes at a cost'! Permanent Frost, how does that sound now? It's like our own secret code too..."

Jasper patted Alex's head. "That's a good one, I like it. What about you?" he asked Scarlet who was nodding too.

"It's actually really good. Who knew that you had it in you?"

Alex frowned. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing," came the innocent reply and Scarlet wrote down Permanent Frost on the paper.

Finally, they were truly a team.

Hey everyone, this is a small post I am making to tell you all a little bit about myself, along with the announcement and my reasons for going premium.
I've looked around Webnovel, and I saw a lot of authors listing their IRL reasons for needing money, and hence going premium.
So, I thought I would do the same. I have a great family, and a great relationship, but that is it.
I've been struggling with depression for the past 4 years.

Right now, I work full time.
Unfortunately, my boss is nothing like Will, and he does everything he can to make my work life miserable.
I also work on a software company me and my boyfriend set up together, which is a passion project that has been in the works for a long time.
It is still in its early stages, so we don't get any revenue from it.
The thing I am most thankful in this life is the amazing luck I've had in finding my soulmate at a very early age.
We've been together 6 years(we were best friends since childhood), and we feel it is time to take the next step.
However, we really need money to settle down.
What all of you might never have guessed is that he's also a writer on Webnovel(I'm not gonna tell who it is, but he is famous ^^), and although both of us are strapped for time, we get the writing done.

Now that I think about it, it's something that has brought us closer together as a couple.
