Which give a hint where to find the main book or geek, where decrypted conventional signs are hidden. In most cases, such a finding of one of the keys is already considered a rarity. And to find the whole chain of books, after 100 or 80 years, is almost impossible. Since both trees and stones, "marks", landmarks have long disappeared, like old houses, and even more so books in public libraries.

Since in view of the change in formats, ideology, social system, books from public libraries throughout Small-An were ripened in the 90-00s. These are tens of millions of publications. So apparently, those books in which the data was decrypted have long been lost.

But the search engine stupidly just goes to the places marked on the map and there, surprisingly, they find something, coins or buttons. Some people think that this is a cipher indicating the geographical coordinates, while others think that this is the direction in azimuth and the angle of the points. But both are mistaken. This is a fortune-telling on coffee grounds. Most likely, these nobles were just joking. And they hid the money, somewhere close by. To immediately quickly take the money and run away. But they were out of luck.

Sometimes the books themselves are a treasure. Gold coins or precious stones are hidden inside them, inside the binding ... and sometimes it's completely unbelievable, the books themselves, by their uniqueness of publication, circulation, publishing house, already cost $ 1,000-3,000.

In old books of the 1889-1940s, which still remained in public funds, you can sometimes see various entries on the pages of books. In French, Hebrew, German, Arabic. If you don't know these languages, then you won't be able to read anything, much less understand it. But some collectors say that sometimes there is some information about the treasures in these briefs. Well, as a historian, it's hard for me to believe it. Maybe this is another urban legend?

Like idle conjectures, old collectors that in the forged railing of old houses, some spans are made of gold or silver, and then simply thickly painted with black oil paint. Hard to believe ?!

But the story with postage stamps and stamps is not fiction, since foreigners gave the forester for these envelopes - a digital camera, laptop and iPhone. If it did not cost anything, they would not give such things in exchange.

The children slowly went back to their dormitory. Their sadness didn't lasted long, because some of them started to speak about the Power awakening.
Belinda heard some kids said that it would be similar to the Soul calming ritual. Most of the children didn't needed it, so some of them spoke about their experience.
Belinda lost her interest and went back to her room. She wanted to sleep early and tomorrow try her luck in the library.
She woke up early in the morning and went to the bathroom to prepare herself.
When she was standing in front of the mirror she saw her butterfly on top of her head.
„Bufy! Where did you run away again?! What kind of pet are you?! Leaving me alone during that heavy training!" she scolded it.
The butterfly froze on her head. Of course, it couldn't answer, so Belinda just sighed and let it be.
She went to eat breakfast, then slowly walked to the library. At the entrance, as usual, Bufy flew away. She looked after it and didn't understand why it came back time after time.
After she went in, she didn't see any librarian. In the end, she went to the second floor to see if she could find any useful books. Until lunchtime, she didn't find anything. Those titles with the 'legend' or 'history' in them ended up being novels. She gave up and went back to find a librarian.
On the first floor, she only saw that annoying guy from the other day. She cursed her luck and chose to come back later.
After lunch, she walked around in the park. She regretted her choice, no one told her the park was the place where lovers met. When she ran into the sixth kissing pair she felt that she would become blind.
On the way back to the library she ran into Zotmund. He tried to please an older woman. She was really beautiful, but from her eyes, anyone was able to see, she looked down on him, yet he didn't care.
Belinda wanted to turn around and find another way, but she saw the woman gave a strong slap to Zotmund and left. He touched his face and looked after the woman. He smiled joyfully.
Belinda wasn't interested in Zotmund's masochist side, so she turned away. Before she was able to take a step, she felt that someone standing behind her and she froze.
„Was it interesting?" Zotmund whispered in her ear.
She looked at him with a blank face. She was surprised to see someone so strongly rejected him, but she didn't feel that she needed to say anything about this incident.
Zotmund didn't mind. He just laughed and walked away.
Belinda stood there deep in thought. She had a feeling before. As if Zotmund had a special charm that made women unable to say no to him. Similar to that red haired girl, she could make crazy all the men around her.
She didn't know where this idea came from, but she knew, those 2 were dangerous. She didn't intend to get closer to them.
She shook her head and went back to the library.
There were more people than in the morning. She went to the reception where a girl sat.
„Excuse me, can you help me?"
„What?" the girl looked up from the book she read. She was a little confused.
„… Excuse me, can you help me to find some history or geography books?"
„All the books on the bookshelves. Go and look for them." she didn't care about it and continued to read her book.
„Are they not categorized at all?! I really need to read all the books to find the ones I need?!"
Belinda was shocked. The librarian didn't answer her. She didn't know what to do.
„Categorize them?" a puzzled voice asked behind her.
She turned around and saw the woman from the park. She touched her chin and stroked it while thinking. Suddenly her eyes shined.
„Let's categorize the books! We can give to every bookshelf a number and mark the books on it! That way we can give out more job..." she stared to speak endlessly about her ideas.
Belinda tried to run away, but the woman grabbed her shoulder.
„Right! I forget to introduce myself! I'm Unyi Marina, the teacher who responsible for the library and some clubs." she said happily. „Your idea not bad!"
„… You never thought about it? Before how did you find a book?" Belinda didn't understand. How could they find anything in such a mess?
„Oh, that… you know the higher the cultivators level, the better their memory. So we just need to walk around once and we can remember all the books and their place… I never thought about how hard this to the new students…" she became sad. „Now I understand, why they never come here…"
„… Didn't those books placed back randomly? After a while, your memory will be wrong."
„Then we just run around again to memorize them. It didn't need too much time."

A few regular readers were quite familiar with the layout. A few moments later, they returned to the floor with the different versions of the same book, Life, the Universe and Everything, the third installment of Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. There were versions in Chinese and English, as well as in other languages, the year of publication different for each version. 

Zhang Zian had also read this book before, but he never knew that this book had so many versions.

They found an empty table to place the books. All of the diverse editions covered the whole table, it looked magnificent. Other readers, that had no idea what they were doing, gave them inquiring looks.

The helpers returned to their seats and started typing in English.

[Coco]: We found the book you wanted. We put every version available in the library on the table near the top of the stairs of the fifth floor. Come and get it.

Everyone, including Zhang Zian, looked at the table, waiting to see what would happen. Although Zhang Zian believed that it wouldn't be so simple, he was concerned that one of the books might suddenly disappear, which would be a supernatural incident.

As time went by, the library was so quiet that it was almost suffocating. All the readers on the floor were sitting in their seats. No one stood up. 

[3.1415926]: That's not my book.

How was that possible? This was obviously the right book! How could Pi act so shamelessly?

[Coco]: How's that not the book? Are you looking for a specific version of the book? I've heard that some people are very picky.

[3.1415926]: My book has no name.

[The Hottie]: Your book has no name, but it's about life, the universe and everything?

[3.1415926]: Yes, can you find my book?

[Jackdaw]: I'm sorry, we won't help you anymore. Go find it yourself! 

[Pancake]: How can you take advantage of our kindness and play pranks on us? I'm so disappointed in you. 

[Coco]: Guys, don't be discouraged! Let's try again!

[Blue Flower]: I'm not familiar with science fiction, but I'd like to keep watching the fun.

Some of the messages were in Chinese, while others were in English. All of their tones were filled with annoyance and sarcasm. When their condemnation came to an end, Zhang Zian continued typing. 

[The Hottie]: I forgot to ask you before. You said that you wanted to find your book. Am I right to say that this book isn't a book provided by the library, but by yourself?

[3.1415926]: Yes. It's the book that appeared with me in this world.

[The Hottie]: This book is about life, the universe and everything. Do you mean that the content of the book is very complicated?

[3.1415926]: Yes, can you find my book?

Zhang Zian understood now. The elfin was probably dependent on the book. The elfin was currently in its incomplete form, that's why it had no physical body. It must have the book so that it could transform into its complete form.

He also understood why the capture difficulty of the elfin was extremely high, his task was to find an all-encompassing book that had no name and wasn't registered in a library that contained more than two million books.

Just like finding a needle in a haystack, right? A f**king timed haystack, how ridiculous!

The other readers didn't understand the dialogue between Zhang Zian and the elfin because the library didn't allow readers to bring their own backpacks or books into the building. 

The elfin was asking for help, for its own survival.

Zhang Zian once again opened the game's map. The light circle that indicated the elfin's location was very faint, it could disappear at any moment.

[The Hottie]: I'm not sure if I can find it, but I'll try my best.

[3.1415926]: Thank you.

Zhang Zian stood up. Coco rushed towards him and whispered, "You really want to look for an unknown book?"

"I have to find it," replied Zhang Zian.

He didn't have time to explain, and hiding his true intention was also a waste of time. He waved his hand and went downstairs, leaving Coco to stand there alone. Other readers kept discussing in the chatroom, wanting to see the ending of the farce.

Zhang Zian went down to the fourth floor, slowing down as he reached the landing.

Although he seemed confident, he had no idea how to find the book. 

He didn't know the size, binding, layout, content, or classification of the book. Where should he start?

Suddenly, he had a thought. The book appeared in this world with the elfin, which meant that it was a book summoned from the void of Pet Hunter. Just like elfins were invisible to ordinary people, this book also couldn't be seen, but he could see the book through the game's capture interface.

The bookshelves on the fourth floor were full of newspapers and magazines, so it was easy for Zhang Zian to see if a book was placed on a shelf.

He searched the whole floor and didn't find any book. If the book could be found on the fourth floor, this task wouldn't have been considered extremely difficult. 

Zhang Zian went down to the third floor. He felt that he had entered the game's hell mode.

He reluctantly looked at the bookshelves in the Hall of Books in Foreign Languages on the third floor, which meant that he had to carefully check each shelf. There were six levels in each shelf, dozens of books on each level, and the book could be hidden between two books.

To find the book, he had to aim his phone at one area of the bookshelf, observe it through the game's capture interface, and then observe it with his own eyes. He needed to find the book that was visible to the game, but not to his eyes. 

This task was extremely difficult, but not impossible. All it would take was time, which Zhang Zian didn't have. 

If he stood too close to a bookshelf, the camera on his phone could only capture a limited area. If he stood too far, he'd easily miss something. He tried several times and finally found the best distance between him and the bookshelf, where all the six levels could be seen on the screen of his phone, and he'd be able to scan level by level.

The bookshelf was very long. Zhang Zian switched between his eyes and the game's capture interface over a dozen times for each shelf because there were books on both sides. 

To avoid missing anything, each comparison took about 20 seconds, switching between his phone and the bookshelf that was farther away.

The books on the shelves varied in color. The titles of the books were written in foreign languages. Zhang Zian's eyes burned after staring at the cursive script for so long. Even so, he told himself to keep looking. 

However, when he thought of the hundreds of bookshelves on the third floor that he hadn't yet inspected, along with the bookshelves on the second floor, he knew that he wouldn't be able to locate the book in time to prevent the elfin from disappearing. 

After holding his phone in the same position for a long time, his arms ached. Lucky for him, his arms had become strong after practicing Wing Chun with Old Time Tea. If he was as weak as before, his arms would've cramped up in less than a few minutes.

When he came from the fifth floor, he took the book Modern Genetics: An Analysis from Gene to the Surface with him, pretending to be an ordinary reader looking for a book. Now, the book had become a burden, and his pretense seemed meaningless.

He was about to stuff the book in a vacant spot on a shelf when someone spoke. 

"Manager Zhang, are you still looking for books?"

Zhang Zian turned his head and found Meng Li standing next to him with two books in his hands.  

Meng Li noticed the book in Zhang Zian's hand and believed that Zhang Zian was learning about modern genetics.

"Manager Zhang, you finished reading such a thick monograph in English?" Meng Li asked.

Zhang Zian said pretentiously, "I've only skimmed it. The content is too simple, it doesn't satisfy my needs. I want to find a book that has more insight."

Meng Li laughed. "I'm afraid you can only read the papers for more insight."

Zhang Zian didn't want to spend more time on the subject, so he asked, "Are you also looking for books?"

"I've found them. These two books are about mathematical ultrafiltration and finding the solution to the infinite element Diophantine Equation." Meng Li raised the two books in his hand.

Zhang Zian smiled, as if he understood what Meng Li was talking about. 

Meng Li looked at the sky. "It's almost noon. I need to return to the school. Are you staying?"

Zhang Zian nodded. "Yes. I haven't found the book I'm looking for."

"Oh. Is the book also about modern genetics?" Meng Li asked casually.

"Well, no. It's a book about life, the universe, and everything," Zhang Zian said with a bitter smile, ready to be ridiculed.

However, Meng Li didn't laugh at him. Instead, he seemed surprised and asked, "Your hobbies are widespread. Apart from modern genetics, do you also like studying math?"

The portal takes us to the front of the house, just like Leon said it would. I watch as Ari and April marvel at how big the house actually is. I don't know what they were expecting, Leon did say it was a mansion. And anyway, April's been here before.
	"So should we go in?" April asks.
"Well, that's why we're here, isn't it?" Ari replies.
"Sure let's go in."
	I walk up to the door and get out the keys from my pocket. Leon has nine different keys, so it's not easy finding the right one. "Um, Isabelle, why does Leon have nine different keys?" Ari asks while looking at the keys in my hand.
"Well, if I remember correctly, one is for the house, the second is for Leon's bike, the third is for Atalanta's new apartment, the fourth is for Leon's locker in the staff room of the Pizzeria he works at, the fifth is for a very expensive car we bought, and the sixth is for Leon's old car that blew up."
"What about the other three?"
"I think the seventh is for the storage unit Leon refuses to tell me anything about, and the eight is for the box under Leon's bed, the one we have to get to."
"Ok, but what about the ninth?"
"Leon doesn't remember what it's for, so I don't know."
"That's a lot of keys."
"Yeah, I said the same thing when he explained it to me."
	I finally find the right key and open the door. We go in and turn all the lights on. "Ok, the box is upstairs, I can go get it, and then we can sort through it and find the books."
"Ok, we'll stay here and keep lookout," Ari says.
"It's Leon and Atlanta's house, we're not breaking an entering by being here, so we don't need a lookout," April replies.
"Trust me, you always need a lookout. You never know when something bad might happen."
"Ok, well, you know this better than us. I'll just be a second."
	I go upstairs to Leon's bedroom. It feels weird being in here. I've been here before, but it feels different now that like him. It feels more personal. I go over to the bed and look under it. It's so dark that I have to use my phone's flashlight. I quickly locate the box, and drag it over to me. 
	I go back downstairs and see April raiding the fridge, and Ari being mesmerized by the tv. I guess they really don't have modern technology in Edith. I go over to the island in the kitchen, and set the box dow. "Ok, I found the box, let's look through it." Ari gets up from the couch and comes over to the kitchen. She looks at the box like she recognizes it, but quickly shakes her head. April closes the fridge, and has a juice box in her hand.
	"Should we tell Leon we found the box?" I ask.
"He told us to tell him when we have the books, not the box. Maybe the books aren't even in the box."
"April, why would he tell us they're in the box if they aren't."
"Well, he's lied in the past."
"But why lie about this when Atalanta's life is in danger?"
"I don't know, but I'm just saying that we should be prepared to have to look for the books somewhere else."
	By the time Ari and April are done with their little argument, I have already opened the box, and April was right, the book's aren't here. Actually there aren't any books here.
	"See, I was right, the books aren't here."
"It still doesn't mean he lied about where he hid the books. He could've just misplaced them."
"I believe you, but this means we have a lot of searching to do."
"How so?"
"Um, have you seen this house? It's massive. It's gonna take us forever."
"It won't take us forever if we split up," I say, closing the box.
"Ok, well, since there are three of us, I suggest we all take one floor. I can take the first floor, Isabelle you can take the second floor, and April, you can take the third floor. We'll meet back here once we've searched all three floors."
"Sounds good," April says.
	I head to the second floor and start searching. First I go to Leon's room, since he's the one who hid the books, I assume he has them somewhere in his room. I look under the bed again, just to make sure I didn't miss anything. No, nothing there. Then I go over to his closet, and open it. I see a lot of clothes, but no books. I also check to see if there are any loose floor boards where he could've hidden stuff under, but no, none of those either.
	I leave Leon's room and go to Atalanta's. I doubt Leon hid anything in here, since he didn't want Atalanta knowing anything about her magical homeland. I still check it though, just in case. I look in the same places. First under the bed, but nothing, just some old school notebooks. Then I check the closet, but nothing, just clothes. When Atalanta gets back from Edith, we need to go shopping. She needs more clothes.
	Next, I check if there are any loose floor boards, but sadly no. I also check behind the furniture, just in case Leon was feeling like not hiding the books properly, but still nothing. 
	I leave Atalanta's room and go over to Alan's. I don't really feel comfortable being in here, but right now is not about comfort, it's about saving Atalanta snd Nathaniel from Kyrie's dungeons. 
	I check under the bed, just like in the other two rooms. Alan has some books under here, but no spell books. Next, I check in the closet. Once again, there are books, but not the types with magic. I walk all around the room, and find a loose floor board. I open it, and find pictures. Pictures of Alan and Kyrie on what seems to be their wedding day. I knew they had Atalanta, but I didn't know they were married. 
	I put the pictures back, and leave the room. I'm sad I didn't find any of the three spell books, but maybe Ari and April had more luck than I did.
	I come back downstairs, and see Ari looking in and under the couch, but I don't think she finds anything, since she looks disappointed when she stands back up. "Need any help 
looking around?"
"You already done with the second floor?"
"Yeah, it was just the three bedrooms. I didn't find anything though."
"Oh, well, maybe April has more luck."
"Yeah, hopefully. You already done here?"
"No not yet. You can help if you want."
"Sure I'll help. Where haven't you checked yet?"
"There's the bookshelf, and I decided to check the floor boards just in case."
"Funny, I also checked the floor boards."
"Great minds think alike. So you wanna check the bookshelf or the floor boards?"
"I can check the bookshelf."
"Ok. Did you find anything in the floor boards by the way?"
"Actually I did. In Alan's room there were pictures of him and Kyrie on their wedding day, hidden in the floor boards."
"Wow. I didn't know they were married."
"Yeah neither did I, but they are."
"Well, you learn something new everyday."
"I guess you do."
	I go over to the bookshelf and take out the piece of paper Leon gave to me about what the books look like, and what their names are. I read the titles, but none of them are spell books. I go back over to the kitchen and see what's in the fridge. I get hungry just looking at the food, so I take out reheatable pasta, and put in in the microwave. I wait a minute, and then eat the pasta.
	Ari comes back to the kitchen and sits on the island. "You find anything?"
"No, nothing. None of the floor boards were loose. I hope April found something, because if she didn't, then we have a problem."
	We sit for ten minutes, until April comes back downstairs. She isn't carrying anything, so I assume she found nothing. "Nothing?"
"No nothing. I checked everywhere. I even checked inside the lounge chairs. Still nothing. What about you guys?"
"Same here. Nothing. The only remotely interesting thing I found was pictures of Alan and Kyrie on their wedding day."
"Wow, I didn't think they were married."
"Neither did we, but apparently they are."
	"So what do we do now? The books aren't here."
"Do we tell Leon we couldn't find them?"
"I don't think there's anything else we can do."
"Wait, there might be somewhere we haven't checked yet."
"Where? Isabelle, we checked all three floors."
"I don't mean in the house. I mean Leon has a storage unit that he was very secretive about when he first told me. The books could be there."
"I don't really feel comfortable looking through Leon's things, I think I should just stay lookout."
"Ok, then April and I will go instead. But you do have to come with us to the storage unit."
"That works."
	We leave the house and get into the car. The key has the address engraved in it, so I know where we're going. We leave the driveway and hit the road.
	It takes us an hour to get to the storage unit. The unit number is 219, so it shouldn't take us long to find the right one. We finally find the unit and once again I search for the right key. I open the door, and am very surprised to only see one big crate in the middle of the room. Ari doesn't come inside, and instead stays lookout just like she said she would.
	April and I look at each other confused. I guess we both thought Leon would have more things in here. I walk over to the crate and open it up. The first thing I see is weapons, and a whole lot of them.
	"Well, he certainly likes to have weapons."
"Yeah, I guess he does. But why so many?"
"I don't know. Maybe to defend himself if he ever went back to Edith."
"Yeah, probably. Hey April look, the spell books." I take all of the weapons out so I can get to the spell books. "Well, these are definitely the ones we need."
"Good, then let's go."
"You go on ahead, I'm gonna put the weapons back into the crate."
"Ok, suit yourself." April leaves, and I start to put the weapons back. I close up the crate, but start to think of why Leon didn't tell me what was in here. He could've lied and said he was keeping something else in here and I would've believed him. I feel like there's something else here, but I can't put my finger on it.
	I leave the unit and lock the door. Ari and April are already waiting for me in the car, so I get in, hand them the books, and drive off. The trip back to the house takes only half an hour, since we just missed rush hour.
	We get inside, set the books down, and Ari starts writing the note to Leon, so that we can get back to Edith. I go over to the fireplace and turn it on. I takes a few minutes, but it finally turns on. Ari comes to the fireplace and throws in the note "And now we wait."
"Yeah, now we wait."
	And we're still waiting. At one point we did so much waiting, we were all reading a different book, and taking turns reading out loud. It was fun, but trying to follow three different plots wasn't easy.
	I get hungry again, so I go see if there's anything in the fridge. There isn't, so I go back to reading. "I wonder how long we've been waiting for. I bet it's been two hours."
"It hasn't been two hours April."
"Yeah, Isabelle's right, it's been more like three hours."
	After an hour of more waiting, a portal appears in the living room, and out steps Leon, looking guilty "I'm sorry I took so long, but there was a complication with the ingredients Tara and Cory were supposed to get."
"What kind of complication?"
"Nothing big, anyway should we go?"
"Finally!" All three of us shout at the same time. We go through the portal, and before we know it, we're back in Evergrow. I let go of Leon's hand, and go to the fridge.

What happens when Atalanta Waters figures out the truth about herself? What happens when the people around her have lied to her? What will she do?

Chapter 8. Literature club (2)

"You don't have those books here."

"Yeah, we didn't have the books you are looking for."

Ren sighed as he looked at the library committee member.

He was currently in the library trying to find some of the novels he wanted to read.

As he was short on money, he thought that he could borrow the novels from the library.

That's why he visited the library after school but the result was unexpected.

The books he was looking for had either been taken away by someone or they are not available in the library.

"Why don't you have those famous novels?"

When Ren asked that question, the library committee member just shrugged his hands and said.

"Do you think the library would have all the books?"

"Didn't the library should at least have some famous novels?"

"I am only responsible for taking care of books, not buying them and we do have some novels if you want to read them."

Ren just sighed hearing the answer. He knew that the library have some novels but he had already read those. 

As Ren was about to leave the library, the library committee member said.

"If you really want to read those novels, I knew the place where you can find them."

"Really?"

"Yeah, you could find those books in the literature club."

"Literature club!"

Ren hadn't heard of the literature club but from its name, he can tell what kind of club it was.

"Many people don't know but there are many novels in the literature club. The teacher in charge of that club like to collect books. You could even find some light novels there."

"Can you tell me where I could find the literature club?"

"Go to the third floor. The last room there is the literature club."

The library committee member said as he started reading his book. Ren just thanked him and left. He didn't wanted to disturb him more.

* * *

"It really has many books."

Ren muttered as he entered the literature club. There were many bookshelves full of books in the room. 

Many papers were also scattered on the floor and the room wasn't very tidy but Ren didn't care about it.

His eyes were on the books. 

'There really are all kinds of novels here.'

There were almost all of the famous novels in the bookshelves. There were also novels of his favourite authors.

"Why are there light novels in the literature club?"

Ren muttered as he noticed some volumes of light novels. He was confused as to why there were light novels in the literature club but he didn't think about it much.

He was here to find some novels to read not to figure out why there were light novels in the literature club.

'Ah, here it is.'

As Ren was looking around, he finally found the book he was looking for. 

«Undeserving»

It was a book that was written by Nagami Yuu, one of his favourite authors. He was looking for that book to find some inspiration for his story.

As the setting of his book and «Undeserving» was same, Ren thought he could gain some inspiration from it.

Although the setting of both the books were the same as they were both the stories of geniuses, the plot was vastly different.

"Can I take it without asking anyone?"

Although Ren had found the book, he was hesitant to take it back as it will be considered theft If he took it without asking anyone.

'Slide!'

As he was thinking of whether to take the book or not, the door suddenly opened.

"Ah, what are you doing here….Amano-kun?"

"Nakai sensei?!"

It was Nakai sensei and a glasses wearing boy who entered the room. 

"Why is that book in your hand Amano-kun?"

Nakai sensei asked as he glanced towards the book in Ren's hand.

"Ah, no, I was just thinking of borrowing it for a bit?"

Ren answered hurriedly. He was in a awkward situation as he was seen taking the book.

He knew he had not done something wrong but the timing of the situation made him feel like he was caught stealing.

"Oh, you are just borrowing the book?"

Nakai sensei said as he came close to Ren and put a hand on his shoulder. His face was smiling but Ren felt that it was a devil smiling in front of him.

"Yes, I was just borrowing it for a bit?"

"Really? You are sure you aren't stealing instead of borrowing?"

"Yeah, I am sure."

"But you know the books in the literature club can't be 'borrowed' without the permission of the teacher in charge and that would be me."

"Huh?!"

Ren was surprised when he heard Nakai sensei's words. He really didn't knew that Nakai sensei was in charge of the literature club.

When he think about it, it also made sense, Nakai sensei was the literature teacher. It made sense for him to be in charge of the literature club.

"If I think about it, I hadn't gave you any permission to borrow a book, right."

"Ahh?!"

Ren just groaned instead of any response. He can't think of any response.

"Um, can you tell me what is going in?"

As they were talking among themselves, the bespectacled boy spoke.

"Oh, It isn't much Himuro-kun, Amano here is our newest member "

"Huhhh?!"

Both Ren and the bespectacled boy named Himuro shrieked loudly at Nakai sensei's words.

"What are you saying? When did I joined the literature club?"

"Do you want me to report to the discipline committee that you were stealing books?"

"Ah! Are you blackmailing me?"

"No, I will not use those petty methods. It is a equivalent exchange. You can borrow those books without any permission if you joined the literature club. Don't you think it is a good thing for you."

"Huh!"

Ren fell in  thoughts at Nakai sensei words, it was true that he will be able to borrow books from the literature club if he joined it but he had to give up his free time if he really did that.

"Is it really worth it?"

Ren thought about it for some time and after thinking about the prices of novels in the market, he finally made up his mind to join the club.

It wasn't like he had to give up something valuable for it, it will only take his free time.

"So, what do you think about it?"

"Ah, I will join the club."

Ren said as he softly sighed and Nakai sensei had a huge smile on his face when he heard Ren's response.

"Haha, that's the answer I was looking for. Now, clean up the literature club room as your first task."

"What?!"

"Didn't you heard me. I said to clean the room. Don't you think it is too dirty for a room. As a club member, it's your duty to clean it. Himuro-kun, here will help you."

Nakai sensei said as he left the club room with a smile on his face.

"Nakai sensei is somewhat weird but he's good at teaching and he is very knowledgeable about literature. By the way, Nice to meet you, I am Himuro Kouji."

"Amano Ren, it's nice to meet you too."

Ren said with a smile but he was frowning inwardly thinking about his future days with the devil teacher.

Fame, wealth, prestige, genius, destruction, despair, loss and failure.

Those are the eight words which describes Ren's life completely.

He was hailed as a genius but his arrogance led him to despair. From a genius, he became a failure.

He was just struggling with his life when fate gave him a second chance.

Now, what will he do after he found himself waking up in another world.

After a leave the guild and walk away to the city, I start to look for the herbs in florets, the herbs I need is called calm-green herb, the description of this herbs is simple, the herb is green, and the leaf is thin. After I start to look for the herbs, I realize that kind of herb is everywhere, this make me worried, because all the herbs like the same thing to I decided to end my search for the herbs and go back to the city, I need more information for complete this task so I decided to go back to the city. After I came back for the city, I ask for any of the guards:

― Where Can I find an alchemy shop?

The guard answer:

― You can find one at the end of the four street, that shop has some herbs and some pill.

After I take the information with the guard I leave and start to look for the alchemy shop, then I find the shop and I enter in the shop, the shop attendant came and ask to me:

― Welcome, sir. What Are you look for?

Then I respond:

― I look for some book of herbs.

The attendant looks at me and ask again:

― Do you want the basic herb book, the intermediate herb book or the advance herb book?

Then I answer:

― I want all the books and give me some alchemy books too.

The attendant wave with the head and leaves for get the books, after a few moments the attendant come back with the books, the total of books is 3 basic herbs book, 5 intermediate herbs book, 4 advance herbs book, and the attendant bring too 12 books of alchemy. Then the attendant says:

― the total of the books is 10.000 low-grade stone of essence.

I pay and leave the shop and then I decide to look for an inn, I found an inn at the end of the street 4, this inn is very close of the alchemy shop, then I decide to enter and ask for a inn. The manage of the inn say the room cost 100 low-grade stone of essence for day with food, then I decide to play for 1 month.

After I enter in the room, I take one of the basic herbs books and start to read, this book talk about how the herbs are classified, the herbs are classified in: poison herbs, healing herbs, cultivate herbs, sex herbs. The poison herbs are utilize for make poison pill or poison liquid, the healing herbs are utilize for make healing pill or healing liquids, the cultivate herbs are the most eccentric type, this type of herbs are utilize for make cultivate pill and cultivate liquids, the sex herbs are utilize for make sex pill and sex liquids, this kind of pill and liquid are utilize in the relationship or when some use for pleasure, this kind of pill is use in slave, the main family use for obtain a better pleasure during the sex. 

The I start to look at the healing herbs first, the calm-green herbs that I'm looking is locate in this season, the explication about the herbs become better now I've confidence for search the herbs, but I decide to stay in the inn during one month, during this month I read basic book about healing herbs and decorate everything, thanks the Grann lessons this book became easier than the normal, after these I leave the room pay for more 4 month and go to the florets look for the calm-green.

After I exit from the city, I walk during 15 minutes and find 2 calm-green herbs, then I take them put in my space-ring and start to look for some more. After some minutes I found some more, this time I find 5 calm-green herbs, then start to look around and find 3 more, for complete the task I need 10 calm-green, then I return to the Destroyer Guild for take my recompense, the recompense of this task is 200 low-grade stone of essence, if this I can stay two more months in the inn. After left the guild I return to my room and start to study the poison herbs.

The world belong to strongest and the weak is just a stone to be crush.
For became the strongest a gonna survive no matter what it costs.

"I'M done. Can you see everything?" Argent asked her sister who was on the other end of the line.
 She was currently at a corner of a narrow alley. She picked that place so no one could see her using her light brain. She just finished putting up the hidden cameras at the northern area of the city. With this, Argent finally had the whole city under surveillance. Well, not really the whole city since she couldn't really set a camera inside the much more important establishments. Like the Apostolic Palace for example. She could but it would be too risky. She didn't want to do something that might ruin her plan. At least not until the day of the festival.
 "Yes, I can see everything clearly," answered her sister's voice.
 Aurum was inside her room at Casa Royale, holding her sPhone in one hand and a rectangular device similar to an sPhone but much bigger, that her brother called a tablet, on the other. According to her brother, this tablet was connected to all the cameras she set up all over the city. Using this, they could monitor the things that's happening in the city while they're here. Maybe if they're lucky they could even find the whereabouts of that elf much faster thru this. 
 While talking, her gaze accidentally flashed to a small, unassuming violet stone attached on the wall atop the bed. Because of her brother's suspicion that Casa Royale had a way to monitor its guests, they swept their rooms as early as the first night and did find a magical tool. It's the stone. It's some kind of tool that could record every sound in the room. That's why they never had a meeting in any of their rooms.
 Really, these people from the Temple were nothing but a bunch of snakes who couldn't even respect the privacy of anyone.
 "You're really okay just staying in your room this day?" Argent asked. 
 Her sister volunteered to stay in her room to watch the tablet connected to the cameras Argent set up. While Clay, to her knowledge, went out to search additional information about the elf if ever in the off chance that they couldn't find him in the auction.
 "Yes, Brother. I'll be fine here," Aurum reassured her brother.
 "Okay, then."
 Argent ended the call. She was glad that Aurum seemed to be back to normal. Looked like her worry was unfounded after all. She walked out of the alley. Although she finished putting up the cameras in this area, she hadn't set up the much more important device involved in her plan. She needed to be much more careful in setting that up. She's not in a hurry though. She just have to make sure that she would be able to set it around the Holy Temple before the Festival of Creation.
 For now, she's relatively free. So, she's going to do one of the things she had planned to do the moment they got here - read the books in the Temple Library. She heard it had the oldest collection of history books in the world. She might be able to find some of the important information she needed there. 
 Argent continued to walk and then stopped in front of a building that looked like a Greek pantheon. A very big pantheon. She walked inside the building and she immediately noticed how much bigger it was inside. It had five floors. There weren't that many people around. Most of them were just young priests, maybe some were even priests-in-training. Everywhere she looked, all she could see were books, books, and more books. She inhaled deeply, smelling the scent of old paper. 
 A small smile crossed her lips. Ever since she came to this world, this had been one of the smell she came to love. Probably because her original world didn't have much physical books to begin with. Long before she was born, almost all the books had been turn into a digital copy. Paper became a rare commodity and having a physical book became some kind of luxury.
 She walked towards the front desk where an old man wearing a priest's robe was sitting. He's probably the chief librarian here. 
 "Good day," she greeted. "Where could I find books about history?"
 The old man looked up at her. "It's rare for a young person like yourself to visit an old place like this," he said with a kind and gentle smile on his face.
 Argent was quite surprised. This was probably the first priest of the Temple she encountered that didn't seem like a scum of the earth. The old man genuinely looked like he's truly kind and gentle. Maybe that's why he's here looking after all these books instead of being a Bishop or an Archbishop.
 "I love reading books," she just said.
 "Then you can read all the books you like here. At least before five in the afternoon that is. Because that's the time the library closes," the priest said with a little bit of teasing tone. "The history books are in the second floor. But I suggest you check the card catalog over there first," he said pointing to a row of cabinets with small shelves. "It would be much easier for you to look for the books that you wanted if you check there first."
 Argent nodded. "Thank you."
 She walked towards the card catalog and searched for the locations of books related to Mythos continent and the war that happened 500 years ago. Because the cards were arranged alphabetically, it wasn't that hard for her to look for the books she wanted. After remembering the locations of the books written on the cards, she climbed the stairs towards the second floor. There were shelves after shelves of books. It took a while before she found the books she wanted. Then she took them to one of the tables so she could immediately read them. 
 She first read the book titled, 'Mythos: A History'. According to the book, Mythos was a continent personally crafted by Gaia. That's why the three races born there were the ones who received most of Gaia's blessings. The dragons with their unimaginable power and bravery, the elves with their beauty and wisdom, and the beastkins with their strength and their desire for victory.
 Before the continent closed off, Mythos was the center of trade in the world. Mainly because they have a lot of resources not available anywhere else and the three races could turn resources into wonderful magical tools. They lived peacefully with humans. Although their population was infinitely smaller, no one could doubt their power. The three races ruled over the world.
 The same things were said in two other books she read. 
 Then she went off and read about the war that happened 500 years ago. In Argent's opinion, most of the things happening to her and her family right now was closely related to the event that happened then. All the three books she found told of one thing. That the war was caused by someone called the Silver Witch.
 She instigated the three races into fighting with humans. She used the weird contraptions she made into seducing the three races to be on her side. Then at the end, with the lead of the Temple, the humans won. They burnt the witch alive and the three races closed off themselves inside the Mythos continent.
 But were all of these true?
 She remembered what the remnant of the dragon king said to her that the reason the war started was because of the obsession of a certain demon. That was so far off from the details she read from these books about the war. Unless the demon was that Silver Witch. Which she doubted.
 There was something about this Silver Witch. Something that the Temple was hiding. She's like a sword hanging over the head of the Temple. Like a time bomb just waiting to explode. If not, then they wouldn't hate Silver Corporation just for the reason that Argent had the same silver hair as that so-called witch. 
 Argent closed off the last book. They said that history was written by the winners. So she couldn't really trust the things written in this book. Especially about that Silver Witch.
 So what exactly was the truth?
 That's the only thing running inside her mind even after she left the library.


She's a known genius of the 31st century. But due to humans' endless greed, she was forced to end her life. The moment she decided to die, she already accepted that it would be the end. But miraculously, she survived and woke up in a completely different world.

A world filled with magic and creatures that she thought only existed from myths and legends. The people there have abilities called 'Gifts'.

There's only one problem tho. She's now inhabiting a different body. And that body belongs to a... young duke?
