The world has been through a lot. Monsters from another world raged hard on our planet, killing half of the population. It looked liked humanity was finally down for the count, with no hope of survival.

But not yet. We weren't done yet.

Because just like those translated Asian light novels, cultivation came in for a win. It started in Japan, where an elderly man was sitting in his home, about to be obliterated by an incoming horde of monsters. He prayed to be delivered and then BAM!

He received a powerful qi right as the monsters arrived to take him out. Using his newfound power, he said the words that would go down in history:

"Time to die, mother truckers!"

The Uprise of Humanity had begun! People across the world fought side by side to eradicate the monsters that once plagued their lands. The great battle was known as the 300 Years War (France and England ain't got nothing on that!)

But now, the monsters are all gone and humans could relax. Speeders and Strongmen were no longer needed to keep the world safe. Now, Chefs, Writers, and Strippers-wait, no, forget that last one-could rise up and take the world by storm. The Age of Tranquility had taken over.

And then there's Minhoe Sunwoo (to clarify, I'm not writing her name the Asian way; Sunwoo is her surname, Min is her given name). Minhoe was born into a family of talented Musicians and Chefs, but she refuses to follow in their footsteps. She believes she was born to be a Speeder and that her legs will outshine all others.

The time has come for Minhoe Sunwoo to rise!

Pi was fond of reading Chinese books. At first, it was not very used to them. But the Chinese language had a magical power, in which each word was formed by special rules, and each word's form had a special meaning. This was fascinating to Pi. Take the word "mountain" (山) for example, by looking at this character, the peaks of the mountain seemed visible. 
It followed Zhang Zian's suggestions to sit straight in front of the computer and type for a while, then sit on the window sill to look into the distance and observe the busy pedestrians. After a few minutes, as the eyes were adjusted and relaxed, it sat in the basket hammock chair and read books on the tablet, then repeated the cycle. Pi enjoyed the routine.　　
Maybe Pi was already used to searching for information in the complex records of the nameless book. It was able to read extremely fast and not only was it able to understand everything, it was able to remember them. Each time Zhang Zian came upstairs to check on it, he found it reading a different book.　
"Eeek!"　　
Pi typed its explanation: "I've read the English versions of these books. That's why I read fast."

To satisfy his growing appetite for books, Zhang Zian retrieved the books he read in his childhood from the storage room, and borrowed some more from Wang Qian and Li Kun. He stacked the books next to the basket hammock chair so that it could access them any time.　　
Pi was gentle with the paper books. It handled them with care, and was careful when flipping the pages, yet these didn't slow down the reading.　
Soon, Pi finished reading all the paper books in Zhang Zian's house and those he borrowed elsewhere.　　
Apart from the daily business of the pet shop, Zhang Zian had an additional task of browsing the online shopping website for discounted books. He would buy some every time there was a promotion.　　

"Master, this is heavy! You are receiving a lot of couriers lately."　
Wang Qian and Li Kun walked into the shop with two heavy boxes, and placed them next to Zhang Zian's reclining chair.　
"Yes. I bought some books."　　
Zhang Zian removed the packaging with a knife. It was book series and journals. The journals were from last year, so the price was good. Pi was not picky about the publication dates anyway.　　
Wang Qian and Li Kun looked at the Abyssinian cat breeding book next to Zhang Zian, and asked in confusion, "Master, you've been buying so many books, but we've never seen you reading them..."　　
Zhang Zian rolled his eyes at them. "Do I have to let you see me reading? Can't I buy books for other use? Cut the crap. Go back and prepare for your exams!"

A mound of books had risen next to the basket hammock chair. His old books, borrowed books, recently purchased books and journals were stacked into four peaks of a mountain. The tallest one was the same height as a person, and the smallest one was as high as the waist.　
Zhang Zian could not find the books as fast as Pi was reading them. The books would reach the ceiling in a few days.　　
Paper books were more expensive and less frequent in discount. Storage was also less convenient. Books and journals were consumables to Pi, and had little long-term 

storage value. After all, it owned a nameless book containing everything. Reading Chinese books was only to appreciate the beauty and depth of the language.　　
When not reading, Pi appeared lonely, bored and melancholic. It knew that it could not go downstairs and show up in front of other people, which might bring trouble to Zhang Zian. Even if it did go downstairs, there was nothing to do and it could not communicate with the other elfins. It might as well stay upstairs to type. But typing all day became boring too. So it often sat idly on the window sill.　　
Zhang Zian was worried about Pi, and so did Old Time Tea, the traditional Chinese medicine expert. Old Time Tea said that long-term melancholy was not healthy, and Pi would fall sick if it continued this way. In modern medical terms, Old Time Tea meant depression. When someone was alone and low-spirited for a long time without interaction with the outside world, it could end up having depression.　　
Humans were social animals, and so were monkeys. Pi might be the same, who behaved like a monkey. But Zhang Zian couldn't possibly get a troop of monkeys to play with it.　　
Many studies suggested that negative mood had a negative impact on health, and may cause a variety of acute and chronic diseases, such as gastric ulcer, endocrine disorders, hair loss, etc. He did notice a lot of short yellow hairs while sweeping the floor lately.　　
Since paper books were not enough for Pi's reading appetite, after much thinking, he decided to seek help from the omnipotent internet.　
"Pi, would you like to try online novels?" He suggested to Pi.

Pi was reading in the basket chair, and was distracted by his question.

Pi put down its book and typed on the laptop: "Are they fun to read?"

"I am excited my public school closed and I will be able to do whatever" is what i originally thought but as soon as I got home I was told "Justin don't forget we have to pick up your chromebook from school for your online classes," let me tell ya, that put a stick in my plans. Imagine my plans are a bike moving insanely fast, me sitting on top, and all of the sudden my brother pulls up and puts a stick in the wheels. Well I'll keep you updated.

The sun rose up in the sky, representing noontime.

Song Shuhangl had woken up, did his daily routine, and left off to his classes with his phone.

'' Classes are such a bore when I already know everything their teaching, maybe I should get an online degree? Nah " Song Shuhang dismissed the thought, and entered his class.

" Long Ming? " The teacher was calling out names, but he ignored it and opened up his chat app.

He saw the number of unread notifications beside the Nine Provinces Number One Group chat group, and opened the chat to see what the members had been saying although he already knew some of it.

The chat log from morning appeared before him.

Questions about the newcomer by Northern River's Loose Cultivator, Thrice Reckless Mad Saber seeking death, and the interesting Spirit Butterfly Island's senior. There was also a guy who claimed that he had calculated his affinity with Shuhang, True Monarch Yellow Mountain.

Looking at the chat logs, he slightly chuckled.

'I wonder what True Monarch Yellow Mountain had gotten out of his divination, it should have changed from my arrival'

"Song Shuhang?"

He responded with a "here, and continued on reading.

"Can you put the phone down Shuhang?" The teacher asked.

" No mam, this is important and my grades aren't suffering from this...so no" Song Shuhang's response made the teacher huff in anger, but she didn't do anything else but start the class.

Scrolling through the chat, Song Shuhang wondered if he should finally respond back.

He really wanted to join in, and yet wanted to make the plot go regularly.

He sighed, he was gonna wait another few days.

Ten days had passed.

June 1st, Saturday, Children's Day.

Song Shuhang's roommates were all staying part-time at the dormitory. That is to say, they would stay in the dorm from Monday to Friday and return home during the weekends. Therefore, he was left alone in the dorm whenever weekends arrived.

He had some potato chips on his side, and was waiting for the text message with the recipe. This had been his routine thing, watching and reading the Nine Provinces Number One Group.

He had tracked the days, and concluded this was the real start of everything.

Lurking for more than ten days, the majority of the members was discussing about their adventures in the secret territory and their harvest, or where did the evil spirits and demons appear at, and how they would subdue and kill them while speaking as if it was all real. Song Shuhang had slowly written an online novel called the Dragon Emperor's Chat Group, which was basically the novel he was in but slightly altered and was pretty famous online.

True Monarch Yellow Mountain—the admin—rarely appeared, or the two managers, Daluo Sect's True Monarch Rain Moon and Venerable Seventh Cultivator of True Virtue, that had never appeared since he had joined the group like previously.

The ones usually online were 'information-gathering' Northern River's Loose Cultivator, the expert in seeking death Thrice Reckless Mad Saber, Su Clan's Seven who only spoke about fighting whenever he opened his mouth, and Medicine Master whose words were as precious as gold.

There was another lurker named Wandering Monk Profound Principle inside the group. Even if he were to appear, he would only send some emojis or punctuation marks. It was said that this senior monk was in a silent meditation. He didn't talk, nor type any words and the most he could do was to send an expression.

Lastly, there was Spirit Butterfly Island's Soft Feather who seemed normal, her messages were pretty normal. He had wondered if he should pursue her, have only one person, or have a harem. Honestly he didn't know, but he just might if he ffelt the desire to.

Opening Nine Provinces Number One Group chat's window, the first thing he saw was Medicine Master's message.

A series of forty-five different ingredients—with the familiar ones such as ginseng, wolfberry, and such, and also uncommon ones like Rising Sun Stone along with a few ingredients that were totally unheard of such as Morning Dew Mysterious Grass, Fresh Overlord Branch, Nine-Yang Scarlet Flame Bamboo, and more in the normal world.

"Following the ratios in the recipe, add the ingredients one by one into the furnace, simmer for five minutes; add the new medicinal ingredients, and continue to simmer for around five minutes. Do pay attention to fire's temperature! Repeat this cycle until the medicinal liquid becomes a paste. After that, the completed product should be black, transparent, and exude a strong smell."

Shuhang's memory cleared and he finally remembered everything.

Out of the over forty ingredients' names, more than thirty were all common traditional chinese medicine, the type used for replenishing qi and blood.

The were fifteen other ingredients such as Morning Dew Mysterious Grass, Overlord Branch, Scarlet Flame Bamboo and so on that wouldn't be sold normally so he waited.

''I already know my body is stronger than normal, so would the liquid even affect me that much?" Suddenly, his wisdom answered for him.

"Dragon Dew?" He curiously asked his Wisdom.

Loading back into the game, Alexandria opened her UI to finally see what skills and starter equipment she had earned. Opening her character screen she looked at her stat sheet.

Seeing her stats it seemed like becoming an Inquisitor through the intermediate quest automatically raised her Strength and Intellect to 10 points each. From what she read on the forums, virtually all the core members of 2nd-rate guilds and above had reached their basic classes. Several ultra hardcore members of the community such as independent streamers and internet personalities had also managed to obtain their basic classes. Guides had already started being posted online regarding the skills and abilities of all the basic classes in the game across all races. Someone online had posted a statistical breakdown and analysis of the player population, availability of quests, and time to completion. The post had almost a hundred billion views, it came to the conclusion that by around the end of December 13th, virtually all casual players will have obtained their classes. This was because as the guild/workshop core players advanced, the massive quest funneling holding up casuals would stop. As more and more people finished their basic class quests, their would be less competition. Another factor that was discovered by players online was that after obtaining a class, players didn't receive the grindy physical labor basic quests from starter towns anymore. This also meant less competition for quests, as only casual players would be left accepting tutorial quests.

From what she saw however there was still zero public information regarding any hidden classes, however there was massive multi-billion view speculation threads about herself, when the game announced a world's first hidden class. Putting her thoughts aside she opened her inventory and checked out the basic items she received. From what she read online posted by a famous hardcore streamer, every single person would receive a basic set of armor and weapons that would never drop nor break. This was because upon player death, some equipped items dropped. Looking at the items she received she found a full set of chain armor, and crude looking two handed iron war hammer.

She immediately equipped the set of basic armor and the iron war hammer. In Slate a player had many item slots of which there are, head, shoulders, chest, gloves, leggings, and boots. There were also accessory slots for two rings and a necklace. However it seemed like not even the hardcore players had found any accessories yet. For weapons, technically any class could use any weapon. However melee weapons scaled off of strength like her two-handed war hammer for instance. Likewise daggers scaled off of agility, and staves/wands/magical items scaled off of intellect.

Swapping out her Apostle's robes, she equipped the new chest piece she received.

Satisfied with the chest plate's stats, it was much better than the beginner robes she acquired from Alexander upon her initiation to the Dominion of Light. Next she looked at her war hammer's stats.

Surprised by bonus the war hammer provided she compared its stats to the basic one-handed sword a warrior posted online. The one-handed sword only did 5-10 damage, and gave no such strength boost. However as one could guess, you could swing a sword faster than a war hammer.

With everything equipped she looked at her stat sheet again.

Satisfied with her stats she took a look at her appearance now. She now had on a thick white gambeson jacket that had a golden pair of wings with a crown embroidered on the chest. Atop the jacket she had a set of basic chain mail armor. Thick leather gloves covered her hands giving her a sturdy grip, and a pair of tough leather boots protected her feet. Rather than receiving an open-faced sallet helmet like warriors, she actually received a white hood with an iron mask. akin to the one Alexander wore concealing his face.

At first she was slightly off put by the mask's creepy appearance, as well as thinking it would hinder her sight. However now wearing it, it didn't hinder her sight at all and it also concealed what her face looked like. This would be useful in order to hide from being recognized from all the video's online of Alexander's performance and chat with her, that coincided with the exact timing of the announcement of discovering a hidden class. The mask also had another obvious benefit, it protected her face. While in other VRRPGs stats may be far more important than actual appearance, the same could not be said for Slate. With T.E.R.R.A creating a unique and fully realistic physics engine for Slate, combat and skills were radically different compared to games of the past.

This difference was the true primary selling point of the game, and the largest reason hundreds of billions of people awaited Slate's release. While stats did influence the basic ways a player's body felt and how fast it moved, the deciding factor was still the player. For example, if two players both played Slate, and both were rogues with an agility stat of 20 vs 18, in other games the player with a stat of 20 would always be slightly faster. In Slate however, this was not always the case. Since the game, fully interacted with a person's neural network, on top of using T.E.R.R.A's physics engine, a player's own body movements, techniques, skill, etc, all made a drastic impact on the game. This meant if the player with 18 agility was an all-star running back who knew how to sprint and weave properly in accordance with precise body movement, that person would completely smoke a casual player who had 20 agility in a running contest. Naturally this system applied to everything in the game from PvE to PvP. 

This system was what attracted so many players to Slate, and the reason why people were willing to grind for hours just to obtain basic classes. In Slate's combat while hp was important, especially vs monsters, it was different compared to PvP. A person could have a base health of 100 yet still die in a single hit by an opponent stabbing them in the head or neck. The way a player handled their weapon mattered, and vital points were essential to aim for/protect. The clashing of weapons caused impact to a person holding a weapon or shield. You could parry and knock away people's weapons using brute strength or technique. In addition to all of this, skills had to be manually activated by the player. If a mage wanted to cast a spell, they would chant the corresponding incantation and feel the man well up in their body. Directing this mana, they could then manipulate and release the magic in accordance with their level of control. This amazing new system was what made Slate become the most hyped game of all time. It was what also drew so many athletes, martial artists, and weapon enthusiasts to the game. The introduction of T.E.R.R.A created a perfectly difficult and fun team PvE experience, while at the same time creating a brutally fast paced skill based PvP combat. In this game both stats and skills/technique mattered.

Fantasizing about Slate's combat system, Alexandria excitedly opened her skills tab and took a look at what the Inquisitor's 5 basic skills were. She started reading them and analyzing how good they were according to her understanding of the combat system, and what players were reporting online. The first skill was,

Basic Skill: Blinding Light
Cost: 30 Mana
Shout "Lux Splendida" to blind all enemies within a 20 meter radius for 2.5 seconds.
(Can only be purged by cleanse abilities)
(Duration scales with Intellect)

The second skills was,

Basic Skill: Holy Light
Cost: 50 Mana
Shout "Lux Sancta" to heal yourself or one ally for 30% health, as well as sealing all wounds.
(Cleanses bleed debuff)
(Can heal critical wounds)

When Alexandria saw the effects of "Holy Light" she was amazed. The post she saw for a Priest's basic healing skill had "Heal" only give 10% health to 4 people, and it couldn't close critical or major wounds. While "Heal" was certainly meant for group play, "Holy Light" was a far superior single target heal.

Her third skill was.

Accuse a target of heresy, temporarily marking them for 1 minute. While marked, the accused has their self healing is reduced by 50%, and stamina/mana regeneration is reduced by 30%.

Reading this over Alexandria felt like she discovered a cheat, "50% self healing reduction? This is by far the most OP single target debuff I have seen! Even the Hex Master's and Orc Shaman's skills she had read didn't even come close to this." Thinking about how it is cast however her face turned a little red. "Wouldn't that mean to mark a player I would need to call them a heretic to their face?" Putting aside how embarseing using the skill might be, it was invaluable for battles that would become long and drawn out, especially against single targets where their was no outside source of healing.

Moving on, Alexandria looked at her 4th skill,

Basic Passive: Inquisitor's Fervor
Gain a 25% speed buff while within 100 meters of an accused enemy.

Seeing this Alexandria smiled, due to the brutal and fast paced combat in Slate, speed and gap closers were extremely important. The only class she had read with a gap closer was the Orc race's Beserker Class. Even then it was only a temporary sprint that closed 10 meters. Meanwhile she had a 25% speed buff that would essentially be permanent as long as she was within 100 meters of an enemy.

Finally she came to her 5th and final skill, surprisingly it was actually a CC ability!

Cost: 30 Mana
Slam your palm into an accused enemy to paralyze them for 1 second.
(Cannot be chained against the same target)
(Skill does not scale)
(Can only be cleansed by Intermediate magic and above)

Reading this ability Alexandria's eyes grew wide. While it might difficult to pull off using a two handed war hammer, if she landed this ability in PvP combat, it virtually guaranteed a kill. If this was used in conjunction with her blind debuff and speed boost, she would become a killing machine in 1v1 combat so long as she could reach her opponent. 

Closing her UI, Alexandria began making her way out of Ciani town towards the nearby forest. With her new armor and abilities she confidently strode out of town as casual players discussed what class they saw, as none of the publicly shared basic classes armors had an iron mask and a golden pair of wings and crown on the chest. 

By her estimates in Ciani town's population of 100,000 players there should only be around a couple hundred players with classes exploring the surrounding area. Most of these players would probably belong to 3rd and 2nd rate guilds that started in the Celestial Empire. These player's would be above average, but they certainly weren't comparable to the athletic prodigies that comprised the upper echelons of first rate guilds/super guilds. Alexandria was confident if she had to compete with Ciani town's "experts" she could be able to fight them just fine.

Exiting Ciani's eastern gate, a massive Forrest soon filled her view, however just as she was out of the town gate guard's view two players approached her. The short player on her left appeared to be a human rogue and had most of his face obscured beneath a hood. Meanwhile the massive man on her right appeared to be a warrior.

Approaching her the warrior said, "Looks like we got a bit of a big fish here, don't we Ross?" The rogue on the left said, "Looks like you got some kinda item don't you? If you drop it for us, we promise to kill ya quick!" As the rogue said that he sprang forward throwing a dagger out of his sleeve towards Alexandria's chest. 

Expecting this rogue's basic ability as she had read up on every single basic class in the game, she immediately dodged a half-step to the left and pulled up her war hammer into her hands. With about 15 meters between herself and the two opponents she started thinking. She knew the warrior had no gap closer, and he also appeared to be a warrior who selected a long sword as his weapon. Meanwhile the rogue was most likely going to throw a smoke bomb to let his friend close the distance to her, while he flanked around.

Seeing the rogue about to throw a canister she immediately screamed, "Lux Splendida" at this moment a stunning light radiated out from her and the warrior and rogue clutched their eyes screaming.  For obvious reason's Slate had dulled a person's sense of pain, however 50% of being hit by the pain of something akin to a flash bang, is still 50% of the pain of being hit by something akin to a flash bang.

Before the two blinded opponents could barely let out a scream, Alexandria shouted out, "Heretic!" Hearing this while clutching his eyes, the rogue felt extremely confused as an odd sensation washed over the rest of his body, "Why the hell would that person call me a heretic?" However just as he barely opened one eye, Alexandria was directly in front of him and using the momentum from her sprint, she swung the war hammer in her hands dead center into the rogue's chest. 

Just as the rogue managed to open his eyes he felt his entire chest go numb as he was launched into the air flying backwards. Before the rogue had even hit the ground, Alexandria turned to the warrior and shouted, "Heretic!" Hearing this, the massive warrior had just finished regaining his vision. He raised his sword to defend against the swing Alexandria was throwing towards him. He had no time to dodge so he could only hope to desperately attempt to parry the war hammer swinging full speed towards the center of his chest.

As any weapons expert, medieval fighting enthusiast, or VR game player would tell you, attempting to use a long sword to block/parry a full momentum war hammer swung directly at your chest is not a good action to take. The warrior knew this, but he simply had no other option other than to grit his teeth and pray.

His hands immediately blasted sideways, and his long sword went flying straight out of hands embedding itself into the nearby dirt. Alexandria had a slight problem now however. Hitting the long sword threw her off balance and her body was tilted sideways in front of the disarmed and stunned warrior. She knew the warrior would probably attempt to grapple with her and use his Battle Cry skill to overpower her.

Taking a chance, her right hand stopped holding the war hammer, and she struck out her palm into the warrior's chest. Surprised, with a look of horror on his face, the warrior felt his nerves go numb and he stopped moving. 

Utilizing the very momentum that had her war hammer swinging to the left, Alexandria pivoted on her back foot and used her left hand holding the war hammer to pull it upwards. Jerking her body downwards she pulled the war hammer back down with her. 

The back head of the war hammer slammed down with a thundering crack straight into the warrior's skull instantly killing him. With blood and grey matter splattered everywhere Alexandria, rested her war hammer on it's head and leaned on the handle. Looking about to admire her handiwork, she saw the rogue two meters away lying on his back. He had died on impact, as the war hammer completely crushed his rib cage and the bone shards destroyed his lungs and inner organs.

Heaving out a sigh of relief, Alexandria looked at her mana bar. It was at 86/140. She had spent 60 mana on the use of imprison and blinding light. She also seemed to regenerate about 1 mana a second with 5 Wisdom. Overall the fight had only lasted about 6 seconds. This exhilarating rush of adrenaline and success was why players loved Slate's combat.

Picking up her war hammer, she soon saw the rogue and warriors corpse disintegrate into blue light. They must have entered the re spawn timer at Ciani town's graveyard. Laughing she picked up the warrior's and rogue's item bags they dropped. Since they were wearing their basic class armor that couldn't drop or break, the two dropped more consumable and coins instead. 

Taking 3 petty mana pots, 1 petty health pot, and 34 copper coins, Alexandria was satisfied with her haul. The pots restored 50 mana and 50 health respectively. This would be useful for sustaining herself out in the wilderness in emergency situations. The copper coins didn't hurt either. The rogue and warrior must have got them from killing some creatures, or robbing some poor souls who had no chance to fight back.

Whistling to herself, Alexandria made her way to the forest to go explore.

The forums for 'The Pirate King' was created less than 24 hours ago. Even though Alvin knew that this game would be very popular, he didn't expect it to be a sensation so soon!

When Alvin logged into the official forums under the Username: 'Insane_Leveler', he realized that there were more than a million people currently logged in! 

Everyone was sharing their experiences on their initial two days in the 'One Piece world'. Even though Alvin knew that those who really mattered, that is the children of the huge Aristocratic families wouldn't share such valuable experiences on such forums, but reading through would provide him a gist of the general levels of players in the game.

After reading through most of the comments, Alvin came to a realization that most of these players were still stuck on Level 0 and had not even leveled up once.

The reason for that is that the difficulty in killing even the simplest Level 0 beasts is beyond imagination even for the most experienced players. One had to know that the attributes that all players started out with was weaker than even a Level 0 beast. Therefore, unless a player is exceptional gifted in some skill, or very experienced, it is very difficult to hunt alone.

At this point of the game, it is very difficult to form teams to hunt considering players do not even know their own locations let alone find other companions to form teams.

Another reason that had made leveling up become so difficult for these players is that the skill that every player was given, i.e. [Force Fist] was too weak to effect any damage to the beasts that had very hard skins.

 Alvin knew that the main effect of this skill is to train and not to fight. That is why its battle efficiency is so low.

But as he continued to read, Alvin found something interesting!

There was a player under the username 'Silent Killer', who claimed to be the first player to log into the 'Pirate King' world. Because of this, the system awarded him with a better Bronze grade fist skill called [Golden Iron Fist] and a movement skill [Wind Walker]! Surprisingly, like Alvin, these skills were automatically upgraded to the peak of the first stage when they were awarded to him.  Because this player was a profession gamer who had accumulated a lot of experiences in hunting in VR worlds, with the help of these two skills, he was able to struggle to Level 1 on the second day. 

The player also stated that because he was using a pretty advanced VR set with a synchronization rate of 20%, when he woke up, he felt that his whole strength had increased. He even posted the results of strength measurement equipment before and after the game which really showed that his overall attributes had indeed increased.

This player had a very big reputation in other VR games so thinking he was in a very big lead ahead of other players, he decided to announce his achievements to gather fame.
With this, other professional players also started announcing their achievements with some claiming to have successfully hunted Level 1 beasts! But there were very few who had actually been able to level up on the first day.

But from the experiences of those who had leveled up, everyone got to know the effects of the synchronization setting of the VR game leading to its popularity reaching an all-time high!
After these comments were posted, a lot of people started to invite these famous players to form teams with them in the future. 

As Alvin continued to read on, he realized that more and more people started to flatter the player 'Silent killer' claiming that they wanted to form teams in reality to share experiences.
A lot of promises were made with some even promising him £1,000,000 to just form a team with them. What made Alvin more speechless as that this 'Silent Killer' actually posted his private chat address online.

If this player had a big background or had very strong strength, this wouldn't be a problem. But Alvin could guess that this player was from an ordinary background since he was foolish enough to post such an achievement online for everyone to see.

Alvin knew that if it was really true that this guy was an ordinary person, he would be surely targeted.
True to this, after just four minutes of posting his address, this player suddenly stopped posting! Alvin looked at the time of log off and he was shocked! It took only four minutes! Even though he knew that this guy would be targeted, he didn't expect it to be this fast.

However, Alvin did not close the forum but kept on waiting, waiting for what will happen next.
Sure enough, after a few minutes, 'Silent Killer's' account logged on again posting this comment,

Seeing this message, Alvin was instantly convinced the guess and couldn't help but feel a little shocked. These guys are too fast.

Sure enough, there are no stupid people in the world. A lot of organizations who know the impact of this VR world would not give ordinary people a chance to rise up.

After all, Urahara Kisuke had stated that this is a new evolutionary direction for humanity. The information revealed by Ares Corporation on their website was also released by the government. For powerful Aristocratic families, it is very simple to get these basic information in advance.

Blythe enters the Café she saw online; The Cup of Love Café. She was amazed how cozy and relaxing this place is. They playing old love song that wasn't too loud; just right to feel good and uplift the mood. The store have a small place where they place all the books and they put pillows on the floor with small tables for people who loves to read. They also have tables for people that only visit to chill and drink coffee - a perfect place it is!

The place was just also a couple of blocks away from her University. Since Blythe didn't really have a "life" as her mom said; she didn't know every establishments around her University. She only goes to her classes, library and go straight at home. She barely go out with friends which they find her boring but at the same time trying to understands her for they know she wasn't the kind of a person that socially active and wasn't really the kind that totally "open" to talk things out -- she deal everything on her own way.

Blythe being on this café didn't exactly broke her routine. She loves reading and afternoon reading with coffee is one of her thing -- the only change was the place.Most of the time,  Change is Good; she can now read her book on peace for which this place wasn't crowded at the moment maybe because "normal" people will definitely choose the beach instead of a coffee shop on this kind of weather.

She was in the middle of her readings when her order came --
 "An order of a Mocha Frappe and one small slice of chocolate cake." The waitress said.
"Ok Thank you." Blythe smiled.

Few hours later.
It is almost 5pm. She almost loss track of the time. She needs to get home for dinner. She really don't like driving when it gets dark. She immediately arranged her things, walks fast towards the exit. She quickly open the door of her car and drove home.

"Maybe that girl owns it. I better keep it and give it to her whenever she came back. I will wait until then." , Alex thought.

"All my life, i tried to control everything! Why now?! I know these are all new to me and I did everything to please everyone my whole life but now i want to do something for ME at once. I don't care anymore if I'm being selfish but I'm choosing me NOW; I'm choosing US!"
