As soon as Elena saw Lucien coming into the lobby, she waved to him with a big smile on her face.
"Morning, Elena!" greeted Lucien, "Why are you so happy today?"
"I’m happy for you!" Covering her mouth, Elena giggled in a low voice, "Before you arrived, a few noble ladies came to the association to look for you. They were hoping that they could become your piano students. Miss Felicia’s friend, Yvette, was here as well."
Then, she handed a pile of letters to Lucien, "These are all feedbacks from musicians who live nearby."
Lucien took the letters and was about to walk upstairs, but paused a bit and turned to Elena instead, "Can you tell the ladies that this year I won’t accept any students? Apart from being the princess’ music consultant, I still have to work on producing more music."
"Mr. Lucien, how come you’re always that inspired?" Cathy’s eyes were wide open and she asked with great curiosity, "I heard that, aside from the serenade, you also finished recomposing Mr. Hersey’s Canon in D."
Lucien nodded, "I’m just hoping that I can hold my own concert as soon as possible."

Bake was already bald in his forties. A thick pair of glasses was sitting on his round face.
"Thank you, Mr. Bake," said Lucien.
"It’s my great pleasure to serve the princess and to be your consultant, Mr. Evans," Bake bowed slightly to Lucien.
"You’re working on translating the books already, Mr. Bake?" Lucien noticed that there was a thick book under Bake’s arm with many small colorful tags among the pages.
"Yes… as you may see, Mr. Evans, translating these books takes time, and the princess told me about your hunger for knowledge. I’m hoping that I can cover as many books as possible in this study for you, Mr. Evans," answered Bake slowly.
"That’s very nice of you, Mr. Bake." Lucien was grateful, "And thank you, Your Grace." Lucien smiled to Natasha.
"It’s very sweet to see that, young as you are, Mr. Evans, you’re this interested in the ancient language and culture of Sylvanas Magic Empire. You’ll see that their culture was fascinating." Bake walked toward the desk and opened the black book in front of Lucien, "The book that I’m working on right now is Heroes’ Epic, very beautiful poems…" Bake became a bit excited.
"What is this book about?" asked Lucien, "Sorry, I’m… I’m not really well-educated with in history."
"Oh, that’s totally fine." Bake smiled. "The beauty of poem does not require its reader to have much educational background. Instead, it’s something you can feel. Get closer and take a look, Mr. Evans."

"Fascinating." Lucien quickly went through all the pages, and then in his spirit library the copy of the book emerged on one of the bookshelves in the "Ancient Literature" entry.
Then, Lucien turned to Natasha, "Have you read these books before, Your Grace? Do you have any book that has already been translated?"
"I’ve learned Sylvanas in the noble abbey before. I don’t need translation," answered Natasha casually. "I’m going to the practicing room now. If I have any question I’ll come back for you. Enjoy your reading, Lucien."
After Natasha left, Lucien directly jumped onto the books and started to read them assiduously.

In the following month, Lucien gradually gained a new perspective toward the continent and even this whole world from the effort he put on reading.
In order to gain great power and break the limit of the human body, lots of sorcerers and sorceresses in the past operated countless cruel experiments on human beings by infusing them with the different powers extracted from magic creatures. Most of the subjects died, but the ones who made it gained tremendous power. 
Surprisingly, yet undoubtedly reasonable, following the lead of those surviving experiment subjects, people from different parts of the continent who were fed up with being bullied launched uprisings against the empire.
At the same time, the Saint Truth, with its many years of secret development, quickly gained its momentum and became the shared belief for those people. That was when the great powers derived from the magic creatures started to be called "Blessings" and the Saint Calendar started to count, followed by the epic war called "the War of Dawn", which lasted for over four hundred years.
Because Lucien was reading the translated versions of the books, all the texts were shedding glory light on the people fighting against the empire while depicting the sorcerers and sorceresses as terrifying representatives of the darkness and the devil.
At that time, Natasha’s family, House Violet, was guarding the remote west territory of Holy Heilz Empire with the great power of the Violet Knights. In the end of the War of Dawn, House Violet provided the Church with great help and became the biggest contributor to the success of taking down Aalto. The host of House Violet was thus granted the title of the grand duke of Aalto and became independent from Holy Heilz Empire.
In the year 425 of Saint Calendar, the church held one of the most significant synods in history, discussing the topics related to the final stage of the war and the further attack toward the fiend empires across the Dark Mountain Range in the west. However, during that meeting, a great, carefully premeditated divergence over the reading of the doctrine bursted out between some of the grand cardinals and the pope. 
Since then the Church was divided into two. Supported by Schachran Empire and the other duchies, the grand cardinals betrayed the pope and set up a separatist regime in the north. The westward march of the Church’s army was thus stopped.
Lucien realized that the topic of heresy in this world was way more complicated than he thought.
Knowing that the Sword Brothers were stationed on the border between the Duchy of Orvarit and Schachran Empire, Lucien asked Natasha why the Church never started to march westward again. Her answer was very obscure but meaningful, "In most believers’ eyes, the enemy within concerns us more than external threats. Today, no one except the pope knows why those cardinals betrayed us."
Lucien also read from the books that the the frontline against the heresy was formed by the north provinces of the Duchy of Orvarit, the Kingdom of Syracuse and Holy Heilz Empire. Among the total of 60 kingdoms, duchies, empires and territories on the continent, most of them retained their glory through the years. However, in some, like the Gusta Empire to the far south, the royal family had lost their control over the empire, since the several preeminent noble families in Gusta seized a major part of the political and economical power.
Besides, there was a continental sea in the center of the continent, which was called Storm Sea. Natasha’s mom was the princess from the kingdom across the Storm Strait, although very little reference could be found about that kingdom.

Two weeks before the new year, sitting in front of the fireplace, Lucien was reading Astrology and Magic Elements.
After the great amount of reading, now Lucien could already understand the most commonly used characters in Sylvanas.

"A falling star has brought the chaos. The throne of fate has lost its master. The nonbeliever who walks in light and darkness will make his debut."
In this magic world, knowledge is power.


Pi was fond of reading Chinese books. At first, it was not very used to them. But the Chinese language had a magical power, in which each word was formed by special rules, and each word's form had a special meaning. This was fascinating to Pi. Take the word "mountain" (山) for example, by looking at this character, the peaks of the mountain seemed visible. 
It followed Zhang Zian's suggestions to sit straight in front of the computer and type for a while, then sit on the window sill to look into the distance and observe the busy pedestrians. After a few minutes, as the eyes were adjusted and relaxed, it sat in the basket hammock chair and read books on the tablet, then repeated the cycle. Pi enjoyed the routine.　　
Maybe Pi was already used to searching for information in the complex records of the nameless book. It was able to read extremely fast and not only was it able to understand everything, it was able to remember them. Each time Zhang Zian came upstairs to check on it, he found it reading a different book.　
"Eeek!"　　
Pi typed its explanation: "I've read the English versions of these books. That's why I read fast."

To satisfy his growing appetite for books, Zhang Zian retrieved the books he read in his childhood from the storage room, and borrowed some more from Wang Qian and Li Kun. He stacked the books next to the basket hammock chair so that it could access them any time.　　
Pi was gentle with the paper books. It handled them with care, and was careful when flipping the pages, yet these didn't slow down the reading.　
Soon, Pi finished reading all the paper books in Zhang Zian's house and those he borrowed elsewhere.　　
Apart from the daily business of the pet shop, Zhang Zian had an additional task of browsing the online shopping website for discounted books. He would buy some every time there was a promotion.　　

"Master, this is heavy! You are receiving a lot of couriers lately."　
Wang Qian and Li Kun walked into the shop with two heavy boxes, and placed them next to Zhang Zian's reclining chair.　
"Yes. I bought some books."　　
Zhang Zian removed the packaging with a knife. It was book series and journals. The journals were from last year, so the price was good. Pi was not picky about the publication dates anyway.　　
Wang Qian and Li Kun looked at the Abyssinian cat breeding book next to Zhang Zian, and asked in confusion, "Master, you've been buying so many books, but we've never seen you reading them..."　　
Zhang Zian rolled his eyes at them. "Do I have to let you see me reading? Can't I buy books for other use? Cut the crap. Go back and prepare for your exams!"　　
He didn't tell anyone else about Pi's arrival for now, especially Wang Qian and Li Kun. These two idiots had big mouths and liked bragging everywhere.

Pi jumped out of the basket hammock chair, and came up expectantly to look at the books. Before Zhang Zian had finished stacking the books, it took one of them and started reading greedily, nourishing itself with knowledge.　 
After seeing how happy it was, Zhang Zian felt both glad and troubled.　
A mound of books had risen next to the basket hammock chair. His old books, borrowed books, recently purchased books and journals were stacked into four peaks of a mountain. The tallest one was the same height as a person, and the smallest one was as high as the waist.　
Zhang Zian could not find the books as fast as Pi was reading them. The books would reach the ceiling in a few days.　　
Paper books were more expensive and less frequent in discount. Storage was also less convenient. Books and journals were consumables to Pi, and had little long-term 

storage value. After all, it owned a nameless book containing everything. Reading Chinese books was only to appreciate the beauty and depth of the language.　　
When not reading, Pi appeared lonely, bored and melancholic. It knew that it could not go downstairs and show up in front of other people, which might bring trouble to Zhang Zian. Even if it did go downstairs, there was nothing to do and it could not communicate with the other elfins. It might as well stay upstairs to type. But typing all day became boring too. So it often sat idly on the window sill.

Old Time Tea said that long-term melancholy was not healthy, and Pi would fall sick if it continued this way. In modern medical terms, Old Time Tea meant depression. When someone was alone and low-spirited for a long time without interaction with the outside world, it could end up having depression.　　
Humans were social animals, and so were monkeys. Pi might be the same, who behaved like a monkey. But Zhang Zian couldn't possibly get a troop of monkeys to play with it.　　
Many studies suggested that negative mood had a negative impact on health, and may cause a variety of acute and chronic diseases, such as gastric ulcer, endocrine disorders, hair loss, etc. He did notice a lot of short yellow hairs while sweeping the floor lately.　　
Since paper books were not enough for Pi's reading appetite, after much thinking, he decided to seek help from the omnipotent internet.　
"Pi, would you like to try online novels?" He suggested to Pi.　
"Eeek?"　　
Pi was reading in the basket chair, and was distracted by his question.　
Zhang Zian explained, "Online novels are a new form of reading as the internet grew popular. They are pretty much like the e-books, except that they were created to be shared on the internet."　　
"Eeek?"　　
Pi put down its book and typed on the laptop: "Are they fun to read?"　
"Some of them are, and some are not. Online novels have a lot of genres, and are many in number. You can always find the ones you like." Zhang Zian answered honestly. In fact, he had not read many online novels. He didn't sound very confident. 　 

Leaving literary and artistic quality aside, the biggest advantage of online novels was its volume and number. Before he could find a better solution, they could at least gratify Pi's reading appetite, and chase away the melancholy and boredom.

In the lounge of the ship which was a day away from Jaya Island, Nico Robin was sitting with her legs crossed and reading a book. 

Her attention then fell towards the Vivre Card as she thought about whether her partnership with Leo will last. For now, all she knew was that he was probably the only one who truly supported her dreams.

BUZZ- Suddenly, I materialized myself in the seat in front of Robin's eyes. Without even flinching at my arrival, Nico Robin kept her book down and propped her head over her hands.

"Don't you know that it's not good to sneak up on people."

"How else will I ever match your assassination skills, eh?" I chuckled, and then my attention fell upon the book Robin was reading. "Wow, an archaeologist like you also pays attention to this 'Rainbow Mist' occult stuff huh."

Nico Robin smiled enigmatically and said, "In this world, you don't know when the occult and facts will mix together. I mean, aren't you the one taking me to a Sky Island, right?"

"Hahahahaha, well said! I'll also tell you a little that I know about the Rainbow Mist." 

I tilted my head forward and closed my eyes for a second; then, I inhaled and started reciting the knowledge I had about the Rainbow Mist phenomena. I told her how it was a gateway to another dimension and a space loop at the same time.

After listening to me, Robin looked down and started to quietly murmur to herself.

"If it actually exists, can it be used to send messages to the past? Maybe even saving Ohara… No, they would never have given up their research anyway..."

While Robin was thinking deeply to herself, I continued, "Do you happen to know about any such dimensions or even parallel universes?"

Nico Robin snapped back into reality and looked at me. 

"Hmmm, I have only read a few accounts from history books about people visiting or coming from other worlds… Also, some fate readers claim to be able to travel to parallel universes with their preferred reality." 

"Yeah, I've read some of these accounts too…"  I said, nodding my head along. Even though I believed that these 'history accounts' were mixed too much with mythology, my own existence denied me the ability to call them all hogwash.

"For such an accomplished fighter, you sure read a lot of history books. I didn't think you'd have similar interests like me." 

Robin raised her eyebrows in a little curiosity; all my knowledge about books was fascinating to her.

I laughed loudly and patted Robin's shoulders. "I just read them to confirm the conspiracy theories I have about the World Government… You, on the other hand, are someone who loves history and pursues dreams without any fear! The willpower I saw in you is just one of the reasons I had to save you!"

Robin went speechless for a second, after which she smiled coyly and leaned inwards towards me.  

"Oh, aren't you the charmer ♥ But thanks….! And I'd like to hear all those conspiracy theories in that mind of yours too."

We continued our discussion, and just like that, our journey to Jaya Island went by quickly.

An incredibly tall man with curly hair laid on his tatami mat placed in his office. The man was Aokiji, the Marine admiral who was feared and respected by many.

Currently, he was reading an article about the new bounties placed on Nico Robin and the 'Shadow Man.'

"Hmmm, what path has this girl taken? Has she changed her life for the better or is she just betraying people and now using another powerful fugitive to cause destruction?" Aokiji muttered to himself.

He though that, perhaps, he should get over his laziness and find Nico Robin himself to see if she deserves to live. Next, he got up from his chair and walked out of his office, musing deeply to himself.

Some argue that various works by authors that do not meet the requirement of fine grammar and spelling are rubbish. Here, each person has his own opinion, and let him stick to it and impose his opinion on others as the ultimate truth, it speaks only of ignorance of life. It is diverse.

Is the work of authors with poor grammar garbage? In my opinion, no. Each author tells his story, passed through his worldview, attitude, understanding of life, his experience and thoughts about the world. It's always interesting for me to read this personally.

I'm a bibliophile, I read a lot of classic works of art, Tomass and Gernih Mana, Feuchtwanger, Mark Twain, Stvenson, Romain Roland, Galsworthy, Tolstoy and all his volumes and there are about 19 of them! I didn't read Dostoevsky, I didn't like him. But Azek Azimov, Ursuda Le Guin, Tolkien, Kipling, Conandoyle, Louis Besenar and others I read with pleasure. Li Bo, the poetry is gorgeous. Novels of feudal and late feudal China, Japan, Korea. Novels and novels by Chinese prose writers of the early 20s and 80-90s of the 20th century.

In general, I read about 10,000 books. Fiction, fantasy, poetry, historical novels, ballads, myths and legends.

After that I became interested in reading historical documentaries - about the history of the Silk Road, Archeology, History, Ethnography, Etymology, the Big Game, the story of the confrontation of imperial intelligence in the vast regions of the Silk Road.

I read about 550 books, from the 16th to the beginning of the 21st century.

I have some kind of base for evaluating short stories and novels.

Sometimes works written flawlessly in terms of grammar, alas ... they are completely devoid of meaning, they are not interesting, they do not have fascinating stories, conclusions, experience, thoughts. But work with poor grammar, on the contrary, have unique information. Of course, not all works, but there are some.

Therefore, when assessing the creativity of another person, the author, being so categorical in evaluations, says only that you have a maximalist who still knows life poorly. This is the right of choice, each person, and to impose a choice on another according to my preferences, I consider this not comme il faut. Well, here everyone has a point of view.

In fact, this is an eternal question - what is more important? Beautiful text form or good content? Bestsellers are those works that combine good text and good content.

I am the author myself. But not a professional writer, but a techie. I don't know much about composition, about the intricacies of writing good text. But I have a very interesting content. Is my story garbage? I do not think so? Do I respect the reader? Sure. But writing is better so far I can't. Nevertheless, I have my own circle - readers who are interested in my work. There are not hundreds or thousands of people, but a couple of dozen will be typed.

I write in the genre - a documentary historical fiction, there are many interesting facts about the Silk Road with which I wanted to share. If I were waiting for the moment when I could write well in terms of English grammar ... I would not be able to share it now ... maybe in a couple of years ... and still I would not be able to write like this they write - people from English-speaking countries. This is a favorite topic of native speakers to reproach those who learn this language in their ignorance of the intricacies of the language they learn, grammar and spelling errors ... As we say, the dog barks, the caravan goes on. That happens.

English is the world language of communication. Moreover, for me it is the third language. I speak English well, but my grammar is lame. I admit it. Yes, I need to teach her, but I don't think I can write in perfect English.

The overall result - write as you can, share your thoughts, in the era of information, the content itself is important and not its form. One way or another, it can help others, they can come to a new thought and write a story about your topic that you would like to read yourself!

The Library was a big building. Its structure was like a temple in ancient greek. It was in the center of the city and every building has been built around it. In front of it, two guards were standing. 

While Zhao Yufei was walking toward the door, the guards stopped her "put your hand on this crystal." They looked strong and even talked strong. 

Zhao Yufei put her hand on the crystal and the crystal changed color to a bloody red. While the guards saw the color of the crystal, they shook their heads and bowed politely "we are really sorry. If you need anything just say it."

Zhao Yufei didn't know what was happening and Mimic wasn't available so she thanked them and went to the library. 

"We should inform the master. She is special."
While Zhao Yufei had gone, these two guards whispered to each other and one of the disappeared.

"How can I help you miss?" There was a receptionist in the center of the hall. 

"I'm here to learn history. Would you mind show me the way?" Zhao Yufei asked as politely as she could. The receptionist stood up and said, "follow me". 

"This is the biggest library of Azure Dragon country, you may find all the things you want here including techniques, history, ancient arts, array techniques, and many other things, and of course they are not free." After the receptionist opened a door at the end of the hallway she said: "remember the shelves of row twelve are not available to normal people and it will hurt you." With an alert look on her face, the receptionist went back to her desk. 

"First I need to know about this world and its structure and second about its creatures."
Zhao Yufei planned all she wanted to do. The went to row one and searched its shelves. 

"History of Ancient" - "Ancient Structure" - "Life of Ancient". These three books were the most accurate and best source. She knew how to chose books because she was a professor after all. It was her habit to choose books. 

Ancient was a universe, it had many stars and many planets with many forms of life. This universe shaped by a battle between gods and demons. Back then there just two kinds with a planet called utopia. 

But a battle took place in that perfect planet. The king of gods fell in love with the empress of demons. But some gods and some demons used this opportunity to break the peace. 

The power that war created made the foundation of this Ancient world.

"Every creature that now exists is a bloodline of those demons and gods but some legends say that there is a unique bloodline called "Fallen". Its source is that mysterious power which created this universe but there is no proof or evidence." Zhao Yufei was amazed. It was like a big bang theory but somehow like fairytales. 

In this universe, many creatures lived. But only six of them had names and the other was the mutants or their offsprings. Demons, Dragons, Ghosts, Giants, Furry, Splash and the Mysterious Fallen. In the books, they mentioned six but the Fallen were the seventh which showed that they may or may not exist. 

The life of these creatures was dependent on their cores, their source of bloodline and every core had a specific element of water, fire, wood, metal, earth, and blood. 

Splash: water. - Dragons: fire. - Furry: wood.- Ghosts: metal. - Giants: earth. - Demons: blood. And for the Fallen: the legendary God core.

People may have multi-elements but there was a limit and it was rare. Every core may have only 3 elements and they had a level from ordinary - primitive - mutant and sacred depend on the level of cultivation of the keeper of it. And for God's core, no one knew. 

People in this world had many jobs. Some were hunters, some were warriors, some were ordinary people and lived within cities. Hunters hunted cores of creatures except for the six bloodlines. Warriors protected their countries. 


Now Zhao Yufei knew why the guards asked her about who she was. "According to this book and Mimic I am a hunter and for my core and element, I should be a demon with a sacred level core. Or else how could I kill those two Demons?"


After Zhao Yufei read these books she realized every information she had read in those books was vividly clear in her mind. Every word and every mark. She used to memorize things on earth and she was food with it but this was on a whole another level. 

Zhao Yufei wanted to go and find some techniques. After all, it was so good and fascinating to learn and become powerful but she didn't do it. Firstly she didn't have much money and she wasn't sure when she may go on a trip later and secondly Mimic told her that she will give her a set of techniques specifically for her. 

She stood up and walked while red the name of the books and suddenly found herself in front of row twelve. After looking at the books, she found them glowing with blood-ish color. It was mesmerizing, at least for her. 

She reached her hound to get it, Suddenly "you are quite special as guards described. Would you like a cup of tea or a coffee or perhaps a better one 'blood' ?"

Gyro came to an abrupt stop in front of an old baroque like structure. It had closed transparent symmetrical windows and a wide archway around 5 meters wide, over it hung Gothic words:

Upon entering the building, he felt solemn. Silence overshadowed everything around the place. On the walls of the hallway, he saw the familiar orbs of light illuminating the building. Then, he found two doors. The one on the right side, according to Aunt Nydelein was reserved for Mysticians; and on the left was for ordinary people or Myuls and Novix.

Gyro didn't linger in the hallway and entered the door at his left. He was welcomed by a scholarly old man wearing dark gray robe and half moon spectacle.

"It's nice to see a young man who has interest in books these days. It's been a long time since one has come here." The old man commented as Gyro approached. "Come, kid. The mysteries of the world lie in these tomes and books. What is it you wished to explore?" Asked the old man.

"I'm... Sir, Good day... I — I wish to know more about the world. Could you point me to the right direction?" He stuttered, clearly struggling. His timid personality caught up to him again.

"Hahaha. You don't have to be nervous kid... About the world, huh? That's a broad topic... If you wanted to know about the world, you might be disappointed coming here..." The old man said.

Seeing Gyro's disappointment, the old man smiled and continued, "But we do have books about our Kingdom. Perhaps it could help you? The books about the world—you could only find a few of those in the Empire's Capital. Or when you have a chance to travel to CeCon in the future."

"Oh!" He understood that he was in a backwater place. "Do you have anything about Mysticians, Sir?" Gyro queried.

"Hmm... Few of the basics. Perhaps you already know them... But you could always read as you like... Since I like your attitude, I will not charge you today, alright? Feel free to read anything you like here." The old man chuckled. Normally, reading for fours in the library cost 1 Mis and Gyro only had two Mis given by Helthor earlier.

"Th-thank you, Sir." Gyro replied in gratitude.

"No problem... There! M-102 and S-23. You might find what you're looking in those sections." The old man pointed to the series of shelves with scrolls and tomes neatly arranged.

Gyro nodded and minced towards those sections. After reaching it, he randomly picked a book and began reading. True to what the old man said, the books recorded details about the Kingdom of Aventhor.

He found a few biographies and old research papers of scholars and Mysticians but there was nothing interesting about them. He skimmed a few history books here and there.

One research paper caught his attention as the Gold Master Mystician who wrote it had mentioned a fascinating word several times, the Crimson Theory. To Gyro's dismay, the author didn't explain any details about it, though. However, the way the author wrote about it was intriguing. In one section, the author wrote, "Strength Surpassing Human Limits."

'Strength beyond human limits!' Gyro kept on repeating in his head. As he didn't find any details about the Crimson Theory, he continued skimming over other books. Fortunately, he had Trii in his mind, so everything he read was automatically stored in the Trick System's Library.

Eight hours passed just like that. Gyro didn't want to be caught by the night before returning to the hotel, so he thanked and said goodbye to the old man.

"Go home safely kid. Just visit here if you have some time in the future. It's quite difficult to find a youth who is interested in reading these days." The old man smiled.

"Okay, Sir... I'll visit some other time. Bye!" Gyro liked the kind old man. Somehow he made him felt welcomed and appreciated.

As he passed by the central monument again, Gyro was surprised to see Zyra and Helthor waiting for him. He couldn't help but feel warm in his heart. The duo was really concerned about him.

"Hello Uncle Helthor, Zy!"

"Gy, how's your trip to, the library?" Zyra asked.

"It's great! The librarian was really helpful and a kind man." He answered.

"That's good... I reckon you had read a lot." Zy said.

"Yeah! I did, " he grinned. "How about you?"

"Great! I found a few rare alchemy ingredients." She displayed a broad smile. Zyra was obsessed with Mystic Alchemy despite not knowing if she could become a Mystician. She just studied everything about the subject even if she couldn't brew potions or refine a pill yet.

"Well, that's great... Oh, I found an intriguing note from one of the research earlier... Ever heard of Crimson Theory?" He inquired.

"Crimson Theory? Hmm... Never heard of it..." She shook her head. Even Helthor who was walking beside them never heard of it.

Gyro sighed in disappointment. 'What in the abyssal hell was that actually?'

The following day, the villagers rose early and jammed the hotel lounge. The kids had unsettled faces reflecting their nervousness.

Gyro sat at a corner as they waited for Zyra who had overslept. As he kept his silence, Gyro heard the hotel Owner Nydelein was having a lengthy conversation with Bart.

"You should follow them to the test Bart. It's your only chance... Next year, you would be more than sixteen years old and will be ineligible to take the exam even if you wanted to." Aunt Nydelein persuaded the young man.

"But I like it here and I don't want to leave you alone." Bart reasoned.

"No... You should go. I've been alone for a long time and got used to it already, so you don't have to worry." She caressed the young man's face.

"I don't want to go." He protested, shaking his head but somewhere in his mind, a voice seemed to prompt him to go.

"Everyone leaves eventually, Bart. I imagine you'll be leaving soon." She patted him on the shoulder while staring straight into his glistening emerald eyes.

Tears began to swell on Bart's eye. He was registering everything hard. Somehow he nodded then hugged the only family he had.

"Shh... That's enough, stop being a cry baby. It isn't you." She chuckled, teasing the usually bubbly kid.

"Alright... I'll go with them... It seems you can't wait for me to go." He glared unhappily.

"You brat! It's just a test... The school semester will start in six months, so even if you passed the test, I'll still have a handfull of your antics before that."

Hearing that, Bart grinned and stuck out his tongue.

Gyro's group arrived at the central section of the city and proceeded straight towards the colossal dome shape coliseum that could house around 30 thousand people. Gray bricks had been stack to form a massive wall and an eight meters wide archway. Hung above the archway was Mystral words in tuscan-sun letters "Zewllewoyr Coylixsewuzm" which Gyro translated to Zelleor Coliseum.

Gyro's head swerved left and right surveying the core section of the city. Unlike the damp, chaotic and dirty slum, the central section reflected order, cleanliness and grandeur.

Like the majestic coliseum, he saw rows of large structures and luxurious residence of nobles and rich businessmen who stood high above the rung of the society.

Across the coliseum Gyro saw another monstrous structure with a bright red Mystral words at the front.

As if Helthor could read Gyro's expression, he pointed to the structure saying, "That's the Mystician Guild branch in Zelleor City. The Guild manages everything about Mysticians. They also give missions and rewards."

Gyro nodded in recognition and silently followed the group.

Tian Feng first went to Li'er's room and knocked.

A short while later, the door was opened and Li'er walks out with a cute sleepy face. Apparently, she also didn't sleep much.

Tian Feng was staring at her in a daze for a brief moment. After which, he agitatedly said. "Li'er! I want to test my new skill. Would you accompany me?"  

His manner of speaking was not of that a kid but an adult. Luckily Li'er is a smart little girl so it didn't seem too strange to her. Instead, it was fascinating to her. These few days, Tian Feng has been on her mind a lot even though they had just met each other.

Upon hearing the request, Li'er was a bit surprised before nodding with a smile. This boy always seems to have something to amaze her. Besides, she also wanted to test her strength. Thus, it was perfect to spar with each other now.

Li'er takes out her sword while Tian Feng was condensing Qi around his arm. Whitish blue lightning could be seen flashing around his right arm. His fist has enlarged to about the size of his head and it looks like a robot hand.

After which, Tian Feng said. "Li'er! Use your sword to attack my hand."

At that moment, Li'er moved slowly toward Tian Feng. As she understood Tian Feng's intention to test his strength, she instantly executed a vertical slash directed to his arm as she was requested.

Clang! Clang!

A loud sound of metal clashing with each other could be heard. Li'er had to move back a few steps to balance herself. As she didn't use full force, the backlash is not too severe.

In fact, had it not been for her sword handle is nonconductive material, she would have been electrified by the sparkling lightning Qi coating Tian Feng's arm already.

On Tian Feng's face, there's a flash of worry but it's quickly disappeared as nothing serious has happened to Li'er. He sensed that Li'er had only use a little bit of her strength to test the water. If he wants to know the real effect of the skill, he would need a stronger attack. Thus, he shot Li'er a worrying glance and said. "Again! Use more strength!"

Li'er noticed something peculiar about that sparkling fist. But, she can't tell what exactly it is. This time, she coated her sword with Qi and executed another vertical slash.

When Tian Feng saw Li'er's sword was coated with Qi, he panicked. He instantly tried to withdraw his Qi and his arm but it's all too late. Her sword had already clashed with his fist. At this moment, she had fallen to the ground looking extremely pale.

Tian Feng immediately rushed to her. At the same time, his mind was communicating with Yuki for a solution. As he arrived in front of Li'er, Yuki had also found the answer. "You can draw out the electrical Qi from her body to save her and you better do this fast."

He held both her hands and started to draw out the electrical Qi. He was proceeding with extreme care. As this was the first time he had actually done this and especially the person he's doing this too was his precious people, he didn't dare to make any tiny bit of mistake.

Although Li'er was severely injured, she still conscious as Tian Feng had tried his best to lower the damage. She has been staring at the anxious face of Tian Feng the whole time. Many strange feelings were going through her little mind.

There was a feeling of bitter. She had been training hard too. However, the boy before her seems to be getting further as times passed. His speed of growth is too monstrous. She can't be helped but felt helpless. If not for Da Jing who was still at the level similar to her, she might even doubt whether she was actually a genius.

At the same time, she felt happy and warm when she saw the anxious and worried expression on Tian Feng's face. She could only continue to look at him bitterly.

Due to the loud sound, Da Jing has also come out. As he opened his door, he caught a glimpse of Tian Feng releasing Li'er's hands.

Tian Feng has finally drawn out all the electrical Qi from Li'er's body. He heaves a sigh of relief. After which, she looks at Li'er apologetically. He didn't want to say sorry as that would increase the distance between them.

Li'er stood up but her gaze never left Tian Feng. She realized that these days, she was looking at him a lot. When this realization crossed her mind, she lowered her head to hide her flushed face.

In the end, Tian Feng didn't get to test his limit. But, he could roughly estimate that if he were to fight with Liu Liqi again, he would be able to injure him a little bit.

Da Jing had come over to ask about what happened. Tian Feng felt that there were nothing to hide from this friend of him. Thus, he quickly went through what happened for Da Jing.

After which, the trio went to the library. They had already forgotten about the incident from the morning. 

As Tian Feng entered the library, he saw something out of expectation. He looks around only to see that his two friends were in the same situation as him too.

Tian Feng was smiling bitterly inside his heart right now. He had got the eidetic memory and even increased his reading speed but who could have known that there's not a single book in the library? He felt that he wasted his efforts for nothing.

The other two didn't feel the same as they were only amazed at how the books were stored.

There are many stones on many shelves. On each stone, there's a title of the book as well as the author name. But, there's no content to read. If one wants to read it, they only need to infuse a little Qi inside and the information would flow directly to their brain. It's very fast and efficient.

Hais... What was done is done. I should just forget about it and start studying. But, at this moment, Yuki said. "Feng Feng! It's not a waste. Trust me!"

Upon hearing Yuki's assurance, he brightened up instantly. He trusts Yuki even more than he trusts himself. Who is Yuki? That's the system. And what is a system? A system is an omnipotent existence that wasn't supposed to exist. There was absolutely no need to doubt it at all.

He wants to read all of the books here. Thus, he starts from the very first one. Infusing a bit of Qi into the stone in his hand, information instantly rushed into his brain like a flood. After which, he felt like he had known it since a long times ago.

This was way too awesome! At this rate, I'll be able to study everything soon. No wonder why the seniors are so strong and knowledgeable. It was all because of this convenience method of studying. If only I could have this kind of stone back on Earth, I'll be able to earn a ton of money.

One by one, Tian Feng was collecting books at a stable pace. After finally collected one shelf of books, he took a glance at Li'er. He was wondering to what kind of book would she be interested in.

However, when he saw her, Li'er has already sat down on a table with a paled face. Thinking that it might have something to do with the incident from the morning he quickly rushed to her in agitation. "Li'er! How are you feeling? Are you alright?"

Li'er was still in a trance but when she heard Tian Feng's voice, she awoke from her stupor. Upon seeing the worried look of Tian Feng, she was bewildered but she still answered. "I'm alright. It's just that I was too greedy. I read 3 books consecutively thus resulted in this exhaustion. Two books were already the limit for us Basic Cultivator.

Earlier, I felt that I still can go for the third one but who know that it would contain so much information that it's ended up overwhelmed me. hahaha..."

When Tian Feng heard this, he shot a glance toward Da Jing only to see him standing at a corner in a daze too.

That makes sense. There's a limit to how much information a person can take in within a period of time. However, that didn't explain why Li'er was in a trance earlier. Knowing that he can't get the answer just by thinking, he said. "Then... Why were you in a trance earlier?"

But, as soon as the words were coming out of his mouth, he noticed a confused expression on Li'er's face. Thinking that maybe she didn't understand his question, he was about to rephrase it again when Li'er started speaking.

No matter how much she can't make sense of the situation, she still answers to his seemingly obvious question. "I was taking in the information from the book. If I don't quickly review it, it would fade away after a single day. Have you read any book yet? How come you don't know about this?"

Only now did he understand what Yuki told him. His comprehension has indeed increased. Besides, he wouldn't forget anything with his eidetic memory. Suddenly, everything makes sense to him.

Earlier, when he was collecting those books, he could understand them almost immediately. He had thought that it was one of the stone effects. But to think that it was instead because of the gift Yuki gave him. He felt thankful for Yuki.

"It's not only because of Eidetic Memory. It's also because you have a strong soul. Otherwise, no matter how good your memory is, you would only be able to read two books per day like everyone else." Yuki chided in to explain further.

He stopped bothering Li'er and walk back to continue collecting his books. The three of them skipped lunch and stayed in the library until evening. Da Jing was the one who woke up first. Of course, Tian Feng doesn't count since he has never fallen into a trance in the first place.

However, Li'er was still sitting there.

Da Jing knows she's studying so he didn't bother her. Instead, he went out of the library to have dinner so that he can start his practice. There's no point in staying here anymore. I can't read anymore book and everyone is still busy. [I'd better go and practice in my room.]

Tian Feng was still collecting books but his face was getting paler by the minutes. He has to stop after finished collecting the fifth shelve. There's still four more on the first floor but he decided to come back again tomorrow.

"Feng Feng! You have depleted so much of your soul strength. If you read one more book, your soul wouldn't even enough strength to sustain me. You should rest now. 

From tomorrow onwards, I won't let you read everything like this. I'll pick out good books for you. How about that?" Yuki reminded Tian Feng.

[Alright! Whatever you say.]

Sat down in front of Li'er, he didn't say anything. He just sits there waiting patiently.

He doesn't feel too well. Even if he had a strong soul, getting so much information within a short period of time still almost make him going crazy.

From the second shelf onward, the time he took to comprehend a book started to increase more and more. As a result, he had only collected around 100 books so far.

Different from others who still have to review and study the content, he would already comprehend everything after he read it.

Although he had comprehended a lot of books today, he had not assimilated it to himself yet. Most of the books had nothing of interests to him.

I could see that she felt bad for saying something rude to me, because knowing my circumstances, these words may hurt my feelings. She is a nice girl with a kind heart.
"Nothing to ask forgiveness for." I smiled at her.
"I..."
"I know you said it without bad intentions, so no need to worry about it! Anyway, how do you feel about school so far."
She visibly relaxed after my words and we started talking about school and she told me interesting things she read. I, being an old wise man, was smart enough to be a good listener, so I got a huge ton of information for free. 
Of course, we talked not only about Hogwarts and magic, I asked her where she is from and about her family. Apparently, her family was normal people without magic, or how they call it here - muggles. Her parents were dentists and were living in London. I knew the muggles part but did not know her parents were dentists. They were very accepting of her identity as a witch. 
Mostly, she was talking. I was never an active part of the dialog. At some point, I caught myself on the thought that she is really open with a stranger, but then I understood that it is probably a speech buff that makes me look like a very good friend, who she can speak with. It is a great opportunity to actually become her friend!
We spoke for approximately 15 minutes when other people started coming in. When people, started converging, I remembered the problem of the schedule, so I asked Hermione about it. 
"Do you know when will we receive the schedule for lessons? Or did I somehow miss it?"
"No, Percy said that Professor McGonagall will distribute it at the breakfast. Which lesson do you want to attend the most?"
"Honestly, all of them. New knowledge is always great, especially this type of knowledge."
'And new skills are even better!'
"I am the same." She answered.
"Since I never knew of this world before coming here, I am very fascinated by every little thing in this school! This is why I enjoy talking with you so much because you told me so many interesting things!"
She reddened a little bit and smiled.
"You are always welcome to talk."
"The first day and already got a friend. I am so happy! When do you think, will we go to the great hall?"
She seemed especially happy when I said about a friend. 
I can't stop being fascinated with the power of the very high speech. What will it be like when speech will reach 90 or even 100? Just by saying something casual I will be able to control people around me, huh? 
Let's stop dreaming! After all, Hermione is still a kid, so maybe speech works better on her. Can't be sure.

After some walking, going up and down the stairs, our group has reached the hall and taken a seat at the Gryffindor table. Because I and Granger walked close to each other, we sat together. 
Like last time, food magically appeared at the table in a few minutes, but this time I was able to witness it with my own eyes and honestly, I was fascinated, but the matter still remained a mystery to me. Food just appeared on the table. No mystic lights or special sounds. No special effects at all.
Students of older years started converging as well. We had a good breakfast and I have finished my food very fast.
Soon, Professor McGonagall came to give us the schedule of lessons and a map of Hogwarts. The first lesson will be history. After asking the time from nearby people and checking with the schedule I had 3 hours until the first lesson. 
I really wanted to go to the library to read some books and check them with the inventory. Maybe just reading them will give some skills or maybe there are some interesting books. Like books of spells or something of a similar sort. Plus, I can read my own books in peace and quiet. 
I decided to ask Granger if she wants to go with me and she agreed. To save us time I did something, some kids would consider embarrassing, but to me with adult mentality it was nothing. 
I came to senior students and said:
"Hello, my name is Magnus. I am in the first year and want to go to the library, right now. Is anyone of you going to go there, so that we can tag along."
'Show me da way!'
"Well, I am not going there, but one of my lessons will be not far from there, so I can lead you there."
"Thank you very much."
"Name's Oliver Wood, by the way."
"Happy to meet you. I will wait till you finish breakfast and then we can go."
"No need, I will go to the bathroom on our way to quickly go wash my hands."
"That's great cause I also needed to wash my hands."
'And brush my teeth. I mean how can those people eat so much and then just go do some stuff. I always brush my teeth after food. Am I strange here or am I strange overall? Well, whatever.'

Now I know the approximate road from the hall to the bathroom and then to the library. Why approximate? Because this school changes itself like mad! Stairs move, paintings change, armor walks away, some roads may even disappear! Nothing is certain when it comes to the path in this school. 
Anyway, the library was magnificent and had thousands of various books. I picked the first book on the first shelf. It was about wand making. Then I found a place to sit and started reading. Hermione was still looking for something interesting to read and after finding a book she liked she sat near and delved into reading as well. 
I read and read. I did not really try hard to understand everything that was written, but I wasn't rushing to finish it either. I was just reading it for the sake of reading and of course as an experiment if reading gives anything. 
I did not want to experiment with putting a book into the inventory and checking if I can 'Use' it for now. Who knows what charms put onto the books... Hopefully, later.
I have no idea how much time I spent reading, but soon I heard notification and saw the next message.

That is the skill? I will check it in the evening, now it can be a bit risky to stand dazed, looking at skills. I mean, I don't know how I will look at that moment, in the eyes of others. Therefore, I just continued reading. 
After reading approximately 70 pages in the book, I decided to check what time it is. I asked my companion if she has a way to check the time.
"I heard 2 bell chimes, so it should be around one hour or a bit more since we have entered the library. Plus, half-an-hour we spent getting here, hour and a half left till the lesson."
Bells! Crap, I did not even pay attention to those sounds going off in distance. My mind does not even consider them useful. After all, as a person who came from an age when time is literally written on everything around you, you become unaccustomed to these old ways of tracking time. Now I need to pay more attention to that. 
Anyway, we can read until one more bell chime, then we need to get to the lesson, using the map. Knowing how hard it is to navigate here, we better get earlier, than rush and get lost.
"Then after next bell chime, we can start going to the next lesson. After all, I am unsure of navigating through this school. What do you think?"
"Yeah, I agree. One hour should be enough to get there. Actually, can we borrow books?"
"It is a library, so I think we can. But I will ask, don't worry"
I went and asked the librarian and after many promises, a note and usage of the high speech she permitted borrowing, but we have to return it till vacation. I agreed with that, told Hermione about this and continued reading.
This time I heard, when the bell ringed and told about it to Hermione. Then, we stood up and took books to borrow. She took one book, while I took 3 books out of here. I pick books in order anyway and don't really care about what information they contain.

Finally, we reached this place and that is only thanks to my companion. Without her, I would have been lost till night probably. Does she have a compass or something?
In any case, history was boring. Plus, ghost teacher for history? And he is still so boring, having all that time behind his shoulders? However, I attentively listened to everything, but mostly we were just memorizing dates, names, and places.
After the lesson, I returned to the library to continue reading with my new friend. She was enchanted by all the lessons it seems, no matter how boring they are. As long as it brings knowledge. She is amazing, indeed.

After finishing the first book, I received those 2 notifications. Honestly, this level up was earlier than I expected, but I think I got a new level up so soon because I raised speech so often. So, it seems the higher the skill raises, the more experience it gives out, which makes sense. Harder to get, better the prize.
In any case, I put the book back at its place. And picked my 2 other chosen books with me, before going to the dormitory. Granger decided to finish her studies for today as well, so we both went to rest.
As soon as I got to my room, I locked the door, lied on the bed and said 2 words, I was waiting to say for so long.

Afterwards, I was reborn in the different world with the system from my favorite game! However, there was a catch - I had negligible amount of knowledge about this universe.

"Oh cmon... System, do you really need do this every time? Now... what will I do?"

"I'm going to rearrange your partners again. Starting from today, Helena will be with Allan again, while Rika will be with Alex and Michelle will be with Luke. There's going to be another exam again to reevaluate your points again tomorrow. So study hard and I'll see you tomorrow!" Daniel announced. 

I started to head back to the medieval-like room to pack up my stuff, but Daniel stopped me claiming that my room wouldn't change. So Allan happily packed his stuff and moved to another room while Alex brought his stuff inside. 

I grabbed my light novel and sat down on my straw bed, while my books that were out in the ground burned to ashes. "Don't think I'll be as lenient as Allan was." Alex said with his narrowed eyes.

That didn't mean he had the right to burn my books! I mean Luke would do the same, but I didn't think that Alex would resemble Luke so much!

Fortunately, the light novels I didn't read yet was still inside the box underneath my clothes and my stash of junk food remained inside the box as well. 

I ignored Alex while he unpacked his stuff. Who told him to burn my books! At this point of time, I was starting to feel a bit sleepy and put the light novel I was holding in my hand inside my vest and laid down on the bed. Just when I was about to fall asleep, Alex was about to hit me with something that resembled a water gun from my previous life. But, before he could do so, I quickly sat up and asked, "What do you want?"

"We need to start studying for the exams. I can't afford to get -100 000 points like you and Allan  did. It would be a great humiliation to the Monete family. I was surprised that Allan was able to forgive you after sullying his family name!" Alex replied.

I tried to negotiate with Alex. "Can we start studying one hour later? At this rate I will put myself to sleep even though I want to get a good mark on the exam this time. Plus, I read a book in elementary school that people retain less information when they're in a state where they're about to fall asleep." 

"It's ok. I'm sure after some constant encounters with water, you'll be wide awake!" Alex exclaimed.

Alex grabbed my wrist and dragged me to the study room. 'Another characteristic that was similar to Luke,' I thought. 

Since I didn't do any reviewing for two weeks and only attended class, my skills were very lacking as Alex kept frowning. Apparently I was in a worse situation than Alex thought I was as he decided to extend the study session. However, I ended up falling asleep half-way through even though I was drenched in constant hits of water. 

Since I fell asleep drenched in the study room while Alex couldn't wake me up no matter what methods he used, I got a really bad cold the next day. However, since I was in a very cruel school, I couldn't defer my exams and had to write it in the next hour or else I would get a zero. 

So Alex was busy pouring all his mana into my forehead to try to at least get rid of my dizziness before the exam because most of it was his fault from not letting me take a one hour nap. 

However, we soon ran out of time and had no choice but to write the exam. With the combination of my throbbing forehead and Alex's tired body from pouring most of mana inside my body we managed to finish the exam.

The results got posted in the monitor again:

Helena and Allan: 87 000 points
Rika and Alex: - 110 000 points
Michelle and Luke: 110 000 points

Ohh. -110 000 points. A new record! How fascinating!

Alex was beginning to stumble onto the floor from shock while Allan didn't seem surprised as he tried to help Alex stand back up. However, the other four people (including the teacher) had their jaws dropped to the floor again.  

This wasn't my fault this time as I glared at Alex in a threatening way. Feeling worse with each passing minute, I went to the infirmary room with the support of Shelly and Ellen. 

In many ways, the infirmary was better than medieval-like room I was currently staying in.  So I laid down on the bed while feeling like I was going to throw up. I was given congee by the doctor as she said to rest well during the next couple of days. At this point, the point system didn't apply to me as I was sick in bed unable to move. However, Alex was not exempt even though he was my pair.

I learned this in elementary school when I got really sick while Luke was still healthy. Luke had to work like a workaholic as he had to go out to earn enough points everyday (including my share) until I got better. 

But, we were in a better situation than what Alex and I was tangled up in. We had a stable amount of points that we had accumulated to help us out. However, Alex and I possessed minus points right now. It wasn't just something like -50 or -100 points, but -110 000 points. 

I wondered what we would do from now on. Sigh.

I was captured and put onto a stake to be lit on fire as part of the ongoing witch hunt conducted throughout the land. I had to do something. But, this life really sucked. 

This all started when I was accidentally killed by God. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to kill you. It was just that I was overworked lately by my superior and I just wanted some time to relax and vent my stress out," he confessed.

"So, while I was snacking, I accidently dropped one potato chip into the human realm where the child tripped over the potato chip onto a den of steep stairs." God guilty admitted.

So I reincarnated into the most adorable girl with the largest orange-speckled eyes that contrasted her pale white skin void of any imperfections.

'How could someone look this pretty?' I thought as I admired my new appearance.

I was nowhere close to this pretty in my previous life. Did God put me into this new vessel as an apology?

But some things were too good to be true.

"We can do this the nice way or the hard way," My fiancé’s brother started off.
"The nice way is where you willingly come with us back to the first district and the hard way is where we forcibly take you back, which would be hard for all of us," Lucius gave me a warning.
Why was my life so depressing? He practically meant I didn’t have a choice!

Few months later, I was at a party that I planned to escape from my fiancé’s family.
"I still get to continue with my naps on the weekends?" I tried to confirm with them.
No one answered as I almost cried from giving up my rare nap times from the mess I got involved with. This life was too bothersome!
