Hayato Adashi is bullied, teased, and abused from the moment to he steps into college, Aoigiri Private College. He doesn't have anything to make up for this bullying. He isn't strong or good at any sport at all. His grades make you wonder how he passed highschool.

Then one dark and rainy night, a man with a cloak made his life change forever. For the better or the worst is what Hayato is still trying to figure out. 

He ends up on a Chronicle List that grants him the power to see and manipulate future events. It's all thanks to this little God that goes by Oculus.

Hayato begins to believe that his sad life is turning around. That is until he learns the truth about the Chronicle List. He isn't the only one who's on it.

Apparently, Oculus has made a grave error and allowed too many people on the list. There isn't enough power for everyone who is on it. There are about 12 people on the list in total and now only 2 people must be on it. Which means 10 people must die.

No one knows who is on the list expect Oculus so the stakes are high. Hayato knows that he can't sit with his thumb up his ass or else it will be game over. Will he prevail or end up with a regretful death?

 
 
Bryan placed a bigger mug filled with coffee on the table. He had finished the last one already.
Today, he was going to pull an all nighter because he had some investigation results to look through.
 
His eyes were heavy and he felt his head throb really badly. He recalled what he had done throughout the day. It was such a busy day for him.
 
He took the next file and flipped through it.
It was the lists of all pharmacies that sold Halothane and the people who purchased them in the last one year.
 
"Whoo! This is so voluminous!" He held his head and began reading slowly so as not to miss a single dot.
 
Only seven pharmacies sold Halothane and they were scattered across city A.
 
The reason it had taken this long for him to get this information was because the pharmacies were hesitant to disclosing their customer information as it was against their "ethics". It took the police some great deal of hard work to comb through each pharmacies record.
 
Most of the pharmacies, 3 in particular, only had close dealings with major hospitals and hence only supplied drugs for customers referred by the hospital.
 
Two were privately owned and they supplied drugs to almost anyone.
 
The other two were government owned.
 
Bryan flipped past the information as he found that they were irrelevant. He stopped on the page were information about the sales of halothane by the seven pharmacies was recorded.
 
He had to peel his eyes away some times and drink his coffee as his eyes were getting sore like grains of sands were embedded within them.
 
There were a lot of names. Mostly the hospitals took most of the cut.
A handful of regular people also purchased the drug within the last year.
 
Why would regular people have need for these kinds of drugs? Bryan asked himself rhetorically as he already pinned them as primary targets of investigation.
 
He also had to bear in mind that the real killer might have used someone else to get the drugs for him, hence, he didn't form any circle of suspect list.
 
Next were names of doctors that bought the drugs outside the hospital's ambit.
 
He ran across series of names;
 
"...Dr Raymond, Dr Chris, Dr Mendy, Dr Gustavo, Dr Neil..." Bryan stopped as he read the last name. He felt he had seen this name before or heard of it but he couldn't remember where exactly.
 
Soon, the mug was empty. Bryan shook his head and stood up to go make some more.
The night was quiet and it made it so serene. He had decided to stay at his rented apartment in Raymond Street for tonight because of this very reason.
 
Soon, the coffee mug was refilled. He continued his reading and flipped from page to page.
 
After he was satisfied with the file did he put it away.
 
The next file was on his laptop. Apparently, the person who had handled this part of the investigation didn't find typing a report in the traditional way to be fun.
 
The file opened up. It was the list of doctors, surgeons in city A, with past records of psychological problems.
 
This list wasn't too long compared to the last one. It only contained information about what the doctors were involved in and their present location and jobs.
 
The list didn't include those who were still at a treatment centre since it was difficult for them to have much freedom outside, thus, Bryan wrote this category off his suspect list.
 
Bryan scrolled through the reports reading it with utmost seriousness.
It took him time to realise that he had finished another mug of coffee.
 
He rolled his eyes as he decided not to get anymore coffee, after all, he didn't like coffee in the first place; he preferred tea.
 
As Bryan read through the list, he stopped for a few seconds and picked up the last report he had already gone through.
 
He was surprised to find that most of the doctors who purchased Halothane independently were also on the list of doctors with mental issues!
 
Why would a mentally ill doctor purchase halothane for personal use?
 
Or maybe it was not for personal use but for murder... The small voice in his mind added.
 
But there were up to four mentally ill doctors who had purchased the drugs, it couldn't be that all them were the "exorcist" right?
 
Bryan took a deep breath to calm his mind before looking at the four names again:
 
Dr Mendy....
Dr Neil....
Dr Moore....
Dr Edith....
 
 
He will have them investigated and followed for a few days; this could help in discovering any abnormalities.
 
Despite drawing out this list, he still had it in mind to do a little bit more cross-referencing; after all, these doctors were all declared reformed before being released from the mental care facility. He still had a lot of options but this offered the easiest start.

Synopsis

After he saw his self from the old him, he was very shock to face the reality that he is in a big reality.
Aaron ask him, "Who are you, and why did you called me the new you?" he ask it with a solid voice and straightly staring at him.
John said, "protect the woman I love, and the one you also loved". He said that by confessing voice and straight to the point expression. But Aaron become more confused and ask who is the woman they both loved.
And he wake up in the hospital room, he already panic from that time but Erik said, "hey dude, it's fine no need to panic". Aaron calm his self and stay in the bed.
After an half hour, Erik ask him what happened to him last night and who did it to him. The only thing that Aaron said to him that it was a destiny. Erik was just shock at him and saying that he is already crazy in stress and depression inside the hospital.
Aaron said, "I'm telling the truth, after I was shot by a gun I saw myself talking to me". He said that with a shock expression in front of Erik.
Erik just said, "you know I'm leaving tomorrow and you still acting weird". Aaron ask where he is going. Erik told him that he will be a volunteer doctor in the city village when Aaron heard that he told Erik that he wanted to be a volunteer too..
Erik ask him if he had fever or just shitting around but Aaron insist to come with him.

In the forest village, Captain Lawson arrive by riding the helicopter in the forest village. Rhea arrive to accompany her and give the list of volunteer doctors.
Rhea said, "that's the list of the volunteer doctors". And Erin get it and thank her, she go to the tent and ask for Kris assistance.
But when she got there Kris and her is the only person inside the medical tent. Erin ask him if he can see his team in the list, and Kris get the list of the volunteer doctors but he chance to hold Erin's hand.
Erin said, "what are you doing". Kris look at him with pitying face and like a dog asking for a food expression. Kris said, "I don't want to miss such a right time to talk to you". Erin ask him what, Kris spoke to her that he want to come back from their relationship.
Erin was kind a shock from his word, Erin said, "do you even hear yourself". Kris grab her shoulder and told her that he will never cheat to her again but Erin walk out from the tent with an anger.
Kris look so desperate to talk to Erin, What a pathetic one.
The other day
Aaron ride a helicopter from the army to get in the forest village, Erik said, "dude you know you made the right choice to come with me". And Aaron's expression look very happy but deep inside he felt very awkward.
When they arrive, he get down from the helicopter and saw Erin Lawson walking to accompany the volunteer doctors. But when Aaron saw Erin towards them, he felt like he already saw her from the other places or something.
Erin come in front of them and said, "welcome to the forest village the silva, I'm very glad that volunteer doctors are safe for arriving". Erik told her a joke and Erin ask what is it.
"can you be my girlfriend"
And Erin's expression look very awkward and don't know what to say. Aaron told her that Erik is really a corny one, and Erin understand him and they leave the entrance point.
But they don't know that Raymond the rebellion that Lawson trying to catch is looking at them secretly.
Raymond said, "if that time comes I'll surely kill you captain Erin Lawson". And he leave the place.
Inside the medical tent. Erin told them that they can do whatever they want inside the tent but not leave the camp without any permission of the major. The 10 doctors from the different hospitals understands captain Lawson.
After Lawson come out from the tent she felt very strange again, Rhea saw her acting weird again without any reason.
Rhea said, "hey Erin, what's wrong". She ask that by a warm voice coming out from her mouth. Erin spoke to her, "I think I already met that guy…. Cause he is very familiar to me". Rhea ask who, Erin told to rhea that, the guy is wearing blue. Rhea said, "you mean chief doctor Aaron Mussolini". But Erin don't really sure about his name but she's really sure that he already met that guy.
Rhea said, "stop those strange feelings, let's go". And the both of them leave the medical tent.
Aaron are thinking where did he meet that woman. And Erik come close at him and give a cup of coffee, Aaron get the cup politely to Erik.
Erik said, "wandering again". Aaron didn't answer him in the first place, but after taking a sip from the cup he said, "I think I met that woman.. maybe she is that woman that asking by the old me". And Erik ask for his pardon. But Aaron didn't continue what he want to say.
And night, the both of them are dreaming again. When the both of them walk out from the dark place created by imagination and dream also hallucinations. The only light is the both above them.
Erin said, "I'm glad to meet you again, john".. and john smile at her. Aaron said, "nice to see you again Edith". And the both of them smile together.
And Aaron and Erin wake up together in the same time but not the same tent.
Aaron/Erin: what was that?

The beautiful woman next to him kneaded her forehead; she looked unhappy.
"Excuse me, doctors. I have something to say." The woman's cold voice interrupted the conversation of the masses.
"Go ahead," the health chief listened and said with a smile.
"Have you checked the real disease of Guo Zhenghe?" She asked.
"The patient is poisoned since there are toxins in his blood," one doctor said.
"What kind of poison?" The middle-aged man next to the woman asked. He had been silent when he entered. He was looking downing at the pile of documents and found that it was a book full of cases and diagnoses, as well as testing data. He raised his head and asked the question after he heard the response of the doctor. 
"Unknown poison."
"Unknown?" The woman was shocked. "Haven't you cured a patient with a similar case already? How could you cure it if you did not know what the poison was? By accident?"
"It..." The doctors in the hospitals were speechless.
"You guys are discussing the transfer of this patient to another hospital first, instead of the reason for the poisoning. It is useless to transfer the patient to Haiqu City, Qi province or a hospital in Jing City when the diagnosis cannot even be found out." The woman was very disappointed with the doctors.
Faced with her doubts, many experts in the conference were speechless.
"Guys, there is another question," the middle-aged man next to the woman said. "There are two detailed cases. Based on the test results, the disease of the young man, Wang Zexiao, is almost the same as the Guo Zhenghe. So, that means that they were poisoned by the same thing. "What a bunch of idiots!" the woman said angrily as she went out.
"My lady, there's no need to be so mad. There are many stupid things in the healthcare system. Because Zhenghe is a special person, they'll work on a cure carefully. They'll turn a deaf ear to common people, however," the middle-aged man said in a low voice.
"Where are the moral ethics in medicine?" the woman raged.
"Moral ethics in medicine—that's so rare!" the man sighed.
"The current doctors are so dishonest!"
"Let's go to Zhenghe," the middle-aged man said.
Soon, they were in a special ward and there was a young man lying on the bed. His face seemed to be a little green and one could tell that he was very ill.
"Zhenghe, Zhenghe?" The woman ran to the bed when she saw him. She held the hand of her younger brother with the hope that he would wake up; however, it didn't work.
"Uncle He, what are the chances of success if he is treated by you?" she asked.
"I could treat him if he were someone else, but Zhenghe cannot be treated by me. There is only one son of the regimental commander, so there must be no failure," the middle-aged man said after hesitation.
The woman did not force him after that.
"My lady, trust me. Although I have no way to wake Zhenghe up now, I will try my best to stop the deterioration."
"Thank you, Uncle He."

Songbai County, Wang Jia Village.
Several vehicles were parked in the eastern village. Many people got out of the cars and followed behind the party secretary of the county, Wang Jianli.
"Here it is." Wang Jianli brought them to the door of a house.
"Yirong!" Wang Jianli shouted towards the house.
"Yes!" There was a response from behind the door as it squeaked open. A man in his forties walked out. "Party secretary, why do you come to see us?"
"There is something related to you that we need to talk about," Wang Jianli said.
"Okay."
The group of people entered the house and Wang Yirong prepared drinks for them all.
"There's no need to prepare us any drinks. These are all experts from town and the city and they just have something to ask you."
"Ah!" Wang Yirong listened and sat down. He was nervous since he had no idea why these experts came to see him.
They were the doctors that just finished the conference for Guo Zhenghe.
"Is your son Wang Zexiao?"
"Ah, yes."
"Ten days ago, he was poisoned, and he was a patient in the hospital in town, correct?"
"Yes."
"Where is your son now?"
"He's working in town now."
"Call him back now!" The doctor's voice sounded mad.
"Okay, okay, I'll call him." Wang Yirong could see that they had something urgent to do. Although they were not very friendly, he did not care about it and just called his son to come back.
"Is there something wrong with my son?" He was not at ease when he finished the call since he recognized that they were the doctors that had treated his son in the hospital.
"There's nothing wrong with him, but there is something that we need his help with."
The doctors waited patiently and 20 minutes later, Wang Zexiao came back home. Wand Zexiao had a medium build—he was slim, but he looked good and healthy.
"Dad, what happened?"
"Yes. That's him!" one of the doctors said eagerly. He met Wang Zexiao before; he was the chief doctor of the treatment for Wang Zexiao. This doctor's name was Mr. Zhou.
"Just hurry up," another doctor said.
One doctor took out a medicine case with equipment ready to draw blood.
"What are you doing?" Looking at the doctors' actions, Wang Zexiao and his father were confused.
"We just have to check your body to confirm that you are indeed in good health. Will you go back to the hospital with us?"
"I am healthy, so there's no need to check." The attitude of Wang Zexiao shocked the doctors.


In an inaccessible village, there were a few houses on the hillside. 
People from far away were attracted here and the mountain road was crowded with luxury cars, because, in this town, there was a young man with incredible medical skills  who could cure all kinds of illnesses!

"Dad, do you really want to receive surgery at Yun Hua Hospital? Do you want to check on a few other places and seek consultation from other doctors first?" Du Chengji rubbed his face and became anxious. 
They had already decided a long time ago to receive the surgery. They already thought of receiving surgery when they came to inspect Yun Hua Hospital. If the Du family members just wanted an R1 resection, why did they need to rush over for an examination? They could have just received this kind of surgery anywhere.
From this point of view, the doctors who mentioned that only R1 resection was possible meant that they were advising them against surgery. 
Those doctors rejected the idea of surgery tactfully because the progress of the disease was out of their expectations. 
Although he knew that once cancer had metastasized, it would grow very quickly, Du Chengji still found it hard to accept the truth. 
However, Du Jiadong, who was the patient, reclined against the hospital bed in his hospital gown and said in a firm voice, "Why are you afraid? "American doctors have always been wary of performing surgeries in China. We don't have the conditions for them to perform surgery, and if we discuss it…" Hospital Director Bo mentioned two difficulties, and he could be considered to have helped Lao Yongyong get out of trouble. 
Lao Yongyong had always suggested inviting American doctors to come over for surgery. Since they could not carry out the plan now, it was naturally Lao Yongyong's fault. 
However, Hospital Director Bo was not interested in fighting for Du Jiadong's favor. He ran a clinic, so when he finished this business, he did not need to hang around again in front of the Du family. 
So, Hospital Director Bo helped Lao Yongyong get out of trouble and said slowly, "My personal suggestion is that it's alright for you to consult American doctors, and there is no harm to have video consultations through remote connection. It had been Hospital Director Bo's perspective all along. He felt that since Chinese doctors always regarded the American doctors' way as the standard, which caused the medical perception between both countries to get closer to each other. Meanwhile, in Europe, there was always some anti-American sentiment popping up somewhere. Hence, he had been promoting European doctors not because his connections in the United States were weak, making it hard for him to compete over there and causing him to gain very little profit. It was because the European doctors' perception was truly different, and it may allow them to gain more ideas. 
Du Jiadong did not seem to want to judge his family doctor's judgment, or rather, he could no longer take the risk of changing his family doctor as he was about to receive the surgery. 
"Call your older brother and inform the board of directors," Du Jiadong said slowly and gestured. Then, the people around him left the room.
"So, the only one who dares to perform surgery is Ling Ran?" When Du Chengji went out, he turned and asked Lao Yongyong. 
"Certainly, he is not the only one who dares to perform the surgery, but he's the only one on our list." Lao Yongyong was not just receiving money from them and doing nothing. He had been constantly updating the list of surgeon candidates. 
Du Chengji knew about that list and frowned. "You're the only one who caught it? That's too much of an exaggeration!"

"But my father insists on surgery treatment…"
"Young Master Ji, there is no time to change your decision." Hospital Director Bo was experienced in such matters. He said that to avoid the discussion from never coming to an end. 
Du Chengji looked at Hospital Director Bo. "I'd still want a third opinion."
"Just rest assured. Even if you didn't say it, I would still invite specialists for inspection too. It would be easier to invite American doctors over if they are not asked to perform surgery. They would be willing to come over too." Hospital Director Bo happily took out a phone and recorded this in his notebook app. Then, he started to give preoperative instructions to Du Chengji. Lao Yongyong listened at the side. The atmosphere between these people became tense again.
