After finding out that he can talk to snakes on his cousin's birthday, Harry decides the best thing to do is investigate.

Due to the emergency, Qin Chu flew over and protected Huo Mian. The little snake ended up biting into Qin Chu's arm.

Qin Chu was hopeless at how calm Huo Mian sounded.

After we had all gathered, Mrs Serena commenced her teachings, we took down notes and then it was time to touch the animals, just as we predicted many girls shouted immediately the chicken started flapping its feathers, Nora refused to touch the snake and I refused to touch the rat. we have seen our fears and faced them but we refuse to touch them. the parrot was my favorite one
I sang up town funk and the parrot sang along with me, it was like a small concert and we had fun it wasn't so bad after all, we got to touch the webbed feet of a frog and even watch it make those frog noises, the practical was a success even though I almost peed my pants when someone said the rat went missing luckily it was just a prank so thank heavens again or else I might have not made it out alive... The Flying Serpent retreated while launch wind arrows at the rats whenever it could as they made their way further and further down the corridor. It would also swing its tail and cut through several rats with the force of the tail. Balam saw the power of a C rank creature's physical prowess against an E rank's.

'So this is how powerful it is. Even though it is not a fighting type creature, there is still a large difference between the two ranks. I wonder how big the gap is between each one,' Balam thought as the rats made their way further and further into the corridor.

The Flying Serpent tormented and cut down the rats' numbers as they went approached the miasma. By the time they had finally reached it, over 50 were already dead.

The initial rats to run into the pink mist kept charging as they inhaled the miasma. But once they had run around 10 or so meters, their bodies collapsed on the ground. The other rats would run over their bodies and claw them up before also collapsing onto the ground. The furthest rat made it nearly 100 meters before all of them were on the ground.

Balam ordered the Flying Serpent to stop attacking while he had the rest of the snakes approach the location. He wanted to observe the mist effects while he waited on the others.

Balam zoomed in on the rats' faces and could see that they were still conscious. Their eyes were open and had looks of confusion, hunger, and fear within them.

'So they are conscious? Is it paralysis or more like catatonia? For now, let's see if they can still feel pain.'

Balam ordered the Flying Serpent to bite into the leg of one of the rats but not to inject any poison. Balam could see its eyes contract and show pain as well as an increase of fear within them.

'So pain is still on the table. Looks more like catatonia then. Does it stop magic or abilities from being used? I guess I would need to test it on more powerful creatures that have actual abilities to find that out.'

Balam continued doing experiments until the rest of the snakes arrived 40 minutes later. During that period, he had learned a few things.

The first main thing he learned was that the venom only poison only lasted about 20 minutes once the creatures left the range of the miasma. Even after they left, their bodies would still be in a 'slow' state for an undetermined amount of time.

The second thing was just how powerful the Flying Serpent was. Balam had cut off the paws of one of the rats and threw it into the wall. It barely made a white mark on the surface before breaking. But the Flying Serpent was easily able to break part of the wall when it swung its tail at full force against the wall.

Balam had access to the dungeon schematics and knew just how powerful those walls were. They would be able to take attacks from bullets without having any holes created. For the Flying Serpent to be able to break the walls that were bulletproof, this showed just how powerful it was.

'This makes me curious about the 3 higher ranks as well as humanity's blessing that they will receive. Eris said that there are even Tier 10 dungeons that have failed. Those things must have had at least 3 S rank creatures types in their dungeons as well as Boss monsters that were all S rank and more powerful than normal ones.

What exactly are we going to be facing? Ugh. It seems like the gods are truly testing us when they ask us to survive those monsters called humans.'

Balam ordered the rest of his snakes to consume all of the rats. It was a truly horrifying sight. Tens on snakes crawling all over bodies and either crushing the rats or biting them and filling them with venom. And when those snakes ran out of venom, they would just bite the rats until Balam told them to move on to the next ones. The Flying Serpent was cutting down many as well from the back of the group until it made it met with the other snakes in the middle.

The worst part was the rats were still conscious throughout the entire ordeal. Even though they could not move, they could still feel all the pain being inflicted on them and see all of their fellow Giant Rats being killed by the snakes. Balam was sure that a few died of pure fright due to witnessing such a scene.

The battle was not without casualties though. The Flying Serpent accidentally killed off one of the venomous serpents when it was swinging its tail and killing off rats.

'Damn. Forgot to turn off friendly fire. Oh well. Makes the game more fun,' Balam thought to himself jokingly.

When all the rats were dead, Balam was given another wave cleared notification before returning to his original dungeon. He did the same as last time and pulled up his inventory to confirm his theory about DP earnings. He was surprised by what he saw though.

Balam thought back to his time during the wave and tried to think of why he got the extra 10 points. 

'Was it the magic cores? No! They would not add up to 10 points with how they are distributed. Unless...'

Balam thought back to how the Flying Serpent had accidentally killed off another serpent. That was the only thing Balam could think of.

'That has to be it. Most games only give back partial points when a creature dies. Do I get back the full amount every time or was this time different for some reason?'

Balam felt himself getting frustrated trying to get answers to the constant pile of questions that were building up.

Lastly, chasing after one into an opening of the wall, and grabbing it by the tail to drag it back to present to the mother. I nudge the door open, carrying the rat. Now, who can't hunt?

Hazal immediately turns green, "Ugh, since when did we have mice? Ack and it's  alive!"

"Hazal." The mother calls her name with a serious look on her face. 

"What Mom?" Still disgusted, Hazal asks nervously. 

"You can keep it." 

To this, I drop the rat, scurrying back into the opening in the wall. They have no use for the rat. It just pissed me off that they doubted my skill so I killed a few, but I don't waste my kills, I can eat two in this form but three... that's a little much. 

"Really?" Hazal grins with an excited light in her eyes. 

Returning a sadistic smile to the grin, she confirms, "Yes. Only because it can hunt better than you."

Immediately offended, Hazal retorts, "I'm not that bad!"

Walking to the living room, her mother agrees, "Yeah but do you want to compete with your snake?"

"W-well," Hazal stampers, " Snakes hunt alone, we hunt as a pack, so it's a different story."

"Well, can't deny that." Says the mother as she ruffles Hazal's hair, "Now get to bed, its a school night."

I slither back into the cupboard as a response, if I'm gonna eat, it's best while they're warm.

Lizzy waited on the tree and watched the python and rats fights, if it was a venomous snake it would've won easily, unfortunately it was a non-venomous constrictor.

The python got closer to the rats and once it was a meter away it began coiling it coiling itself and then sprung to a rat, it wrapped the rat up and squeezed its wide body slowly.

The 5 other rats immediately attacked the python upon noticing a brethren getting crushed, the constricted rat died and was dropped by the python to attack the other rats.

"Wait a minute I have an idea!"

Lizzy who was watching the fight had a light bulb moment and quickly ran down the tree, she traveled bush after bush to hide from the python, both were cold blooded so she could easily travel without notice.

Lizzy traveled to the area where the dead rat is, which was right behind the python the python hand coiled itself in defense and was attacking the other rats one by one, Lizzy arrived at the dead rats location and then swiftly dragged it away by its tail, the python was too busy to notice her.

Lizzy dragged it into a bus where she then looked at the python which was still battling, she began to eat the rat in large amounts and was able to finish it in three bites.

"Ding! Host has gained 150 Genode/s"

Lizzy didn't get any task progression since she didn't kill the rat, the python was bleeding albeit not much, the rats were down to 3, 2 rats were riddled with bites causing them to die due to blood loss.

Lizzy saw this as another opportunity and went into one of the holes that was far from the fight, inside the hole Lizzy saw 8 baby black rats.

"Sorry but I need to get stronger, I hope you all reincarnate as better creatures"

Lizzy opened her mouth wide and swallowed the baby rats in 2 mouthfuls, she exited the hole and saw that another rat has died, she went towards another rat hole quickly and found 2 more rat babies which she devoured.

Lizzy exited the hole and there was only one rat left, the snake was riddled with bite wounds and that was what she wanted, she shot 5 fantasy acids at the wounds of the python, after using the acid spit so much she now had a grasp on its usage.

The acids landed on the wound and they began to sizzle, the python hissed and looked at Lizzy coldly, Lizzy could feel a shiver run up her spine and fired acid at the snakes eyes which the python dodged effortlessly but that gave the rat the opportunity to bite its neck.

The rats teeth sunk into the elastic scale and was able to damage it, the python waved its neck and tossed the rat aside before jumping to it and coiling around it to crush it.

Lizzy at this moment wasn't lazy and decided to steal the ready rats fast, she spat acid on each rat and ran away whilst grabbing to their tails, Lizzy ran for a few meter till she reached the tree with a large hollow space, dragging the rats into the tree had expended her stamina and it hit 0 once she was inside,  a headache hit her and she passed out from exhaustion.

The weather after she got exhausted turned bad and it began to in heavily.

Village on the island.

"Mr.chu the weather is bad today, let's continue our snake hunt tomorrow"

"Yeah I think that's the best result as well, we released 10 different snakes on the island but cannot hunt haa, tell the hobby hunters that we will start the hunt tomorrow" Mr.chu stated

The bright sky had disappeared and was replaced by the island eerie darkness, the bugs became active and crickets played their songs, stars filled the sky's and inside a tree trunk a lizard awoken.
