The disappointed, annoyed look on McGonagall's face made Attuoria feel something that she couldn't quite place. She almost felt sorry for her, that Filch was once again disturbing her in the middle of the night because of a mistake she caused. 
"Yes Filch, you may leave," said Professor McGonagall, rubbing her temple as she spoke. "The other students will be waiting for you there at Hagrid's hut."
"You don't understand, ma'am, this girl here, I'm sure she's the one causing trouble -"
"Mr. Filch!" McGonagall interrupted loudly. "I am sure that if anything is wrong, I can sort it out with Ms Knight. As of right now, you have your duties elsewhere. Please leave my office."
Filch looked as if he was about to say something else, but after one look at McGonagall's stern gaze, he scampered out of the room. 
Professor McGonagall sighed, leaning back against her chair. Her eyes were closed as she beckoned for Attuoria to sit down.
"Ms Knight, I am… surprised, to say the least. Please explain yourself."
Attuoria hesitated, watching McGonagall inhale deeply with her eyes still shut. 
"I am tired, Ms Knight. I would like to dismiss you right now, but you have broken yet another rule, and I can't let you off without warning. So if you want to help your situation at all, you'd better start talking."
"Professor, do you know what our detention is?" Attuoria asked. Her question made McGonagall open her eyes. 
"Of course. To find the injured unicorn in the Forbidden Forest." she said matter-of-factly. "Now don't tell me you're here to complain -"
"I found the injured unicorn's child." Attuoria blurted out before McGonagall could continue. "Hagrid told us to stay put while he went to help Neville and Malfoy, I mean, Draco. While he was gone, I found a young unicorn hiding behind a bush. It led me to the injured unicorn, which by the time I got there, was already dead. I wanted to report my findings back to Hagrid but I didn't know my way back to our original spot, so I went to his hut instead. Unfortunately, Filch was the one who found me there."
Now Professor McGonagall looked fully awake. She put her spectacles back on and sat up straight on her chair. "You found a young unicorn… and it didn't run away from you?"
"Er, yeah," said Attuoria, slightly confused. "I'm lucky to be a girl. I read that unicorns are friendlier with female humans than with males."
"Yes, friendlier, but not usually as friendly as to trust a human at first sight. Especially a younger unicorn. They're extremely jumpy and are known to be much less trusting of humans compared to adult unicorns. For you to be able to come in contact with one…" Professor McGonagall laced her fingers together as she sat staring at Attuoria, contemplating something in her mind. 
Attuoria didn't know what to say. Was this yet another thing that made her un-human? She already knew her Legilimency was superhuman, because Dumbledore said that people who are skilled at Occlumency, such as Snape, can block their minds from Legilimency, yet she can still read their thoughts with ease. She could even connect telepathically with animals, which was something she was positive that others couldn't do. Now a magical creature that tends to run from humans trusted her and approached her for help… Attuoria was sure that she was beginning to look a little suspicious in this mortal, human world. Her cover up story was getting weak. 
"Care of Magical Creatures is a class you can take in your third year of studies here at Hogwarts. I think you'll do great in that class," said Professor McGonagall, taking a different turn in their subject of conversation. 
"But I digress. I will have to give you detention again for breaking the rules, as you went against Hagrid's instructions and put yourself in a lot of danger by wandering off alone. It seems you didn't learn your lesson from last time. You're lucky not to have come under any harm, but you won't always be so fortunate. So please, Ms Knight, follow the rules and stop making it so difficult for not only me, but also your peers. I can guarantee you that your friends are in the forest right now, worried for you and searching for your whereabouts." McGonagall said all this in a stern, scolding manner, yet Attuoria saw kindness and care buried underneath her harsh tone. 
"I will try my best to adjust to all the rules." said Attuoria. She was being completely honest. Her life and duties as a Nightmare demon involved little to no rules or limits, so being at a school with so many rules that limited her decisions was difficult.
Professor McGonagall nodded. "Other students have mentioned that you grew up in a tough environment, so I understand that you tend to make decisions that you believe is best for yourself. But our school rules are set to make sure students are safe, and we take responsibility for anything that happens on our campus. I'm sure you understand." 
"Yes, I do. I'm sorry for all the trouble again. When and where will my detention be?"
"I believe the Trophy Room needs some cleaning, so I would like you to go there after your last class tomorrow and polish up all the awards. As of right now, you should head back to your dorm and get some sleep. And don't go wandering the halls alone until morning." said McGonagall, giving her a pointed look.
Attuoria promised the professor to be on her best behaviour and then quickly returned back to the dorm. Hermione wasn't back yet, but Attuoria went to bed without waiting. She wasn't sure she wanted to face all of Hermione's questions about where she went just yet. Maybe tomorrow, thought Attuoria, although hopefully never. She didn't exactly know how she was going to explain to Hermione and the others that she telepathically connected with a unicorn that no one else saw, managed to find the dead unicorn, hopped on trees all the way back to Hagrid's hut and got caught by Filch but got off with only a detention and no house points deducted. 
Now that was a difficult story to tell. One that she doubted they were even going to believe.

The next morning, Harry and Hermione bugged Attuoria about where she disappeared to, and how Hagrid was so extremely worried about her. She promised them that she'd either give him a visit or send him an owl. As for where she went, all she told them was that she got lost, somehow found her way back to Hagrid's hut and then went back to sleep in the dorm. Surprisingly, Harry and Hermione accepted the story without question.
But Attuoria was surprised when Harry gave her his conjecture about how Snape was trying to steal the Philosopher's stone to help Voldemort come back to life. It sounded even wilder than Attuoria's story with the unicorn, but she had an odd feeling that it was true. 
"Do you think Quirrell is involved in this, too?" She asked Harry as they came out of their last class of the day.
"Quirrell is helping Snape get past the enchantments that guard the Philosopher's stone. But the only reason he's helping is because Snape threatened him. He's probably doing everything against his own will." Harry explained. 
"And you said Voldemort - he didn't die? He's still alive?"
"No one really knows. But I think he's on the verge of death, and that's why he was there in the forest drinking unicorn blood. I'm not sure that he's even human anymore, judging from what I saw. Anyways, Firenze says that it was Voldemort in the forest, but Hermione thinks that centaurs are not trustworthy and we shouldn't believe him."
Attuoria nodded slowly, trying to piece the clues together. So if Voldemort was just barely alive, that could mean his soul was drifting around trying to find a body… right? And if he doesn't find a body fast enough, then his soul will leave the mortal realm and enter the underworld. Attuoria knew all about these systems, especially the different dimensions and spirits that exist outside of the mortal realm.  
Voldemort cannot kill another human and take over their body because one, a soul cannot physically kill, and two, if the body was dead or malfunctioning, he wouldn't be able to survive in it. This meant he was living like a parasite. An extra being on another human's body. 
Hence why Quirrell has two voices in his head…
This final statement was such a bold one that Attuoria didn't dare suggest it to Harry. Through her own logical thinking, she deduced that Quirrell could possibly be the host body of one of the most evil wizards of all time. It was such a far-fetched idea, yet Attuoria believed it must be true. What other explanation would there be for the suspicious voice in Quirrell's mind? That voice constantly ordered Quirrell around, and Quirrell referred to the voice as "master". An evil wizard was bound to have followers, and Voldemort had many of those which he named Death Eaters. The information fitted together perfectly, like pieces in a puzzle, but Attuoria didn't think her friends would believe her.
She bid Harry a quick goodbye without saying anything else, and headed down to the Trophy Room.
Compared to her detention in the Forbidden Forest, this one was so much less eventful. There was a rag and a bucket of slightly soapy water near the door, which Attuoria picked up before heading into the room. At least a hundred awards and trophies were waiting to be cleaned. With a sigh, she got to work. 
While most people would find this detention repetitive and dull, Attuoria actually enjoyed it. She read the names and descriptions of the many awards she polished, trying to match them with the names that she read about from the many books she drilled through during the school year. 
As she picked up a "Special Award for Services to the School" shield, a name on the badge next to it caught her eye. 
"Awarded to Tom Riddle for Services to the School."
Services to the school? Hagrid had mentioned that Tom was a model student that all the teachers loved. But what did he do for the school? What was the "service"?
She carried on cleaning with that question in mind. Tom Riddle's name appeared a few more times, once on the list of Head Boys, and another on a Medal for Magical Merit. Neither of the two were out of the ordinary. 
But one thing that bothered her was that there were no records of his middle name. There were no records of anyone's middle name on any of these awards. For all she knew, Tom Riddle could have nothing to do with that mysterious message. Maybe she was on the wrong track. Although Tom Riddle was the only person so far that she had encountered with the initials T.R., there were hundreds and thousands of other people out there who have the same initials as him. And Attuoria was certain that at least a few hundred of those people have middle names starting with M.
Her movements became autopilot as she wiped each award with the rag. Her mind was occupied by so many thoughts that she soon lost track of time and reality. By the time she had placed the last plaque back into the glass case, it was already dark outside. 
I should go back to the spiritual dimension, Attuoria thought to herself, tossing the rag into the bucket of water at the door before leaving the Trophy Room. 
T.M.R.'s message was sent nearly twelve years ago. If she or he really wanted to find a Nightmare Demon, then they would've continued to send messages. Perhaps it was no longer a priority for them, hence there is no point of me being here. I've neglected my duties as a Nightmare Demon for too long, and for nothing.
She went back to her dorm alone for the second night in a row. Most people had gone to bed already, and only a few of the older students remained in the common room. 
Hermione was still awake on her bed, reading a book. She gave Attuoria a curt nod before returning back to studying. Hermione had been stressing over the end-of-year-exams for an entire month already, which were to begin in the coming week. 
Attuoria sighed, hopping onto her bed and finally noticing how sore her arms and neck were from polishing the trophies. She realised how much she needed to cherish her moments as a human. Whether they were good experiences or bad ones, they weren't going to last forever.
Maybe tomorrow should be my last day, she thought.

I was at home the whole Christmas break. I went to the farm to help my mother and some relatives harvest rice and pull farm weeds. I much prefer going out to the farm because I have only one focus. I hate staying at home  because there are so many things to focus on.

During this Christmas break, I observed our Papa, as we call him, went away so often and came home somewhat tired and anxious. However, as our parents' practice, they only talked about important things when we were not around. I felt something was unusual with the way Papa was acting lately. Only, I cant pinpoint what it was.

It was past new year and we needed to go back to school. Papa gave me a letter to mail in the post office. I didn't have any idea what it was. I had a bad feeling that it has something to do with our family's situation but then, not hearing anything from our parents means that it should be manageable. I posted the letter the first school day of the year.

Later on, I remembered I should write to Mark just to say 'hi! I'm alive and well' and to wish him happy new year. I wonder how he is doing ! Last time, I remember he came but didn't show up...that puzzled me!

So I wrote:

Mark my Love,

 Happy New Year! 
You are like a tattoo in my soul that is etched and never be erased. You managed to Mark me as yours with your thunderous voice and gentle kisses. I always long to hear your voice and feel your touch. I miss your kisses too. Am I this shameless now? But atleast only for you, cause in my heart,  I'm already yours.

Mark, I just need to ask you. Did you deliberately hide from me when you came here last time? I will never forgive you if you did. Was it you whom we met on the road and you didn't even say hi? Why was that? I don't understand why you came all the way here just to hide from me!. Or did you come here for someone else? I was deeply hurt when I learned this. I sealed it and mailed it the next day. I didn't bother to edit it as I was more effective at writing down my thoughts on first writing. Editing my writing always leads me to change my original thoughts that doesn't really express my true emotions.

Three weeks had passed since school resumed. It was now the third weekend of January. As usual, I went home hiking with some of my villagemates who were attending same school. We met my Papa along the way riding his dark brown horse. He wore his cowboy hat and his original old cowboy boots. His pants was tailored by Mama and his suit was white topped with deep red woven native fabric. He looked like a knight as he halted the horse beside us.

"Have you checked if the canteen there have some new people? " Papa inquired. The canteen was just about a curve away from the starting point of the trail.

"We didn't see any. Maybe it was their car who came after we left." I said as I looked at my father, not daring to ask question because it was useless getting scolded. He always thinks his children have nothing to do with his plan.

"When you get home, you cook for lunch and take care of your siblings. Your mama went to the farm. " He instructed me. 

My face turned sour as I heard I needed to stay at home. I didn't like it but I said yes anyhow.

About half past two o'clock in the afternoon, Papa arrived looking famished and thirsty. He took of his shirt and hanged it on the wall. My youngest sister was alert to get a towel and wipe his sweating back and hand him a cup of water while I scooped some food for him. 

Papa assigns anyone of us his children to pray before meals but this time he had to eat alone and pray by himself. I hid myself behind the door as I listened to him praying. I wonder what was bothering him these past previous weeks. I heard him mumbling words about God's provision, care for his children's future and fixing relationships that are marred by envy and greediness. I was alarmed. Something is definitely not right! I thought. 

My father's words are not usually cheap. They come with heavy weights that's why even his slightest request are like already a command for us his children. We practically grew up in fear of being inadequate for anything.

 That's one reason why I rebelled after my highs school years and didn't want to continue enrolling to college. After one year of trying my way, Papa wrote me a letter asking me to enroll for the next enrollment, which I did. I was still in fact young in age compared to my classmates who were two years older than me.

I entered primary grade at a very young age. We were classmates with my older sister but I was the one who continued to high school when her left ear got infection and her hearing got impaired. Also because of lack of finances that we cannot go to school at the same time. I was just so blessed to be sent to school despite having no awards. I didn't aim for any awards ever since. I felt it was not right to receive awards when all you did was to scheme your way against your classmates while sticking close to your teacher for favor. It was only when I noticed that I didn't have  any awards did I tell myself that awards were shameful when you got nothing in your brain.

"Is Stanley still your classmate?" I heard Papa say while he was taking his coffee that I just served. I was washing the dishes.

"Yes.Why?" I said realizing that I had the guts to question him back.

"Is he bright like his brothers?" He asked again.

"He is our Maths genius and he doesn't take notes in our  classes. " I said like I was also amused by what I was saying.

"That's good! Did you know he is your fourth cousin? His father and I are thirds." He said.

"I just know he is my cousin but I didn't know what degree." I said.

I was waiting for him to say something more but then he seemed to have self distracted his thoughts. He ordered my our youngest sibling to bring his shirt which he wore after he finished his coffee. He took his horse to the mountain where he let it loose before heading to the farm.

In place of Christopher, it was Darren who was in the limelight during the awards season with "Black Swan".

Of course, we must not forget the "Black Swan".

I can't tell if this is incredibly arrogant or very obnoxious or both: Since I provided all of the articles I wrote for the Daily Planet up until 2009, my past self was bored and decided to write and direct Batman movies as Clark Kent. He thought that writing and directing the Superman movie was a little too on-the-nose, so he retained the same staff as those who worked on the movie in the original timeline.

It seems I am a shameless plagiarist at heart because I ripped off Batman Begins and The Dark Knight by completely copying those films, except for the edits made to protect Bruce Wayne's identity as Batman. I was the writer, director, and producer (shared some production credits with the people who helped on the Superman movie). I got Hans Zimmer to score it like he did on the Superman movie.

MY PLOT FOR BATMAN BEGINS: 
Bruce Wayne's name has been changed to Anthony "Tony" Stark. His parents are wealthy inventors who murdered his parents when he was a child to stop the production of their clean energy solution: the arc reactor. The group that ordered the assassination is the Court of Owls (I have a feeling they're going to be angry with me), wealthy rich socialites who are like the illumanti, they control everything that goes on in Gotham. Many members of the Court of Owls have stakes in fossil fuel companies so clean energy solutions would disrupt their financial dealings; they decided to kill the creators of the arc reactors and destroy their research.
After his parents were killed in front of him, Tony escapes at his parents' pleading for him to run. He runs until he finds a cave to hide in. He shines his flashlight looking around when he is swarmed by bats, scratching at his face and clawing at him. Tony goes into catatonic shock due to his parents' deaths, being in the dark, and being attacked by bats. Jarvis finds Tony, saying he followed his trail and they need to get out of there before someone comes looking for you - he couldn't be sure they wouldn't murder Tony, too.
Tony Stark (Bruce Wayne) was raised by the family friend Jarvis (Alfred the butler) after his parent's death. After his parent's death, Jarvis (an ex Marine) trains Tony in hand-to-hand and teaches him survival skills. Tony decides to leave the country while Jarvis investigates the nature of his parents' murders. Tony finishes his schooling in a boarding school in Europe under an assumed name. He then begins travelling and gets in some trouble and lands in a Bhatanese prison. He is recruited by a man calling himself Ducard who saw potential in Tony. He trains in a group called the League of Shadows. Tony gets gauntlets like in his Batman costume, is trained in the art of misdirection, and learned to overcome his fear of bats and use fear as a weapon (it's where he gets his idea of Batman). Tony was asked to kill a man as part of the final test, so he destroyed the base and left the man he believed to be Ra's al Ghul to die then saved Ducard, his teacher while in the League.  Note: My past self was hoping exposing Ra's al Ghul's name in a popular movie would piss him off. Cocky, I know.
After many years of leaving Botham, Tony returns to get vengeance on the Court of Owls and to purge Gotham of it's criminality and corruption. As Batman, he uses the League's lessons in stealth, intimidation, and theatricality. He invents the Batmobile, sets up operations in the cave he encountered the bats as a child, sets up his Batcomputer, and all his equipment. He goes around taking down the Court of Owls and says "You have failed this city!" - gift wrapping the socialites by hacking into their info and revealing all their crimes to the police. Meanwhile, the League decides to try to destroy Gotham because the Court of Owls was the only thing preventing the League of Shadows from doing so. The League planned to use The Scarecrow's fear toxin to the entire city, but Batman stops it in time, leaving Ra's for dead on a train that crashes.

The movie did really well. Because the Superman movie saw so much success, they were clamoring for the next big thing. 

MY PLOT FOR THE DARK KNIGHT:
I was able to get Heath Ledger to star as The Joker. The film was identical to the movie from my universe. Basically, it was a shot-for-shot reenactment. Harvey Dent's name was changed to Barry Stiles to avoid a lawsuit, along with other names. Rachel Dawes is Pepper Potts. Pepper is killed in a bomb set by The Joker and Barry's left side of his face and body is hideously disfigured by the burns, turning him into Two-Face. The movie ends with Batman persuading the commissioner to hold him responsible for the killing spree by the dead district attorney and to preserve the DA's heroic image. 

Clark Kent's The Dark Knight made over $2 billion. Heath Ledger won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor (not posthumously because he doesn't die in the DC universe for some reason). I won the Academy Award for Best Director, Best Picture, and Best Original Screenplay.

Batman was infuriated that I would make the first movie, but he became apoplectic when The Dark Knight came out. He was more popular than ever, and even though I painstakingly made efforts to change names and facts about his life (I even put disclaimers in the movie that the background of the characters were changed with creative liberties to protect their identities - any similarities to real life people are purely coincidental), he felt that his ability to strike fear into the hearts of criminals was hampered because I've removed all the mystery from his alter ego.

The truth was that criminals were still afraid of Batman. The way he was portrayed was that his parents were murdered, his only love was killed, he has nothing to live for except for vengeance, he was trained by a group of assassins, and he has high tech inventions to blow away his enemies. So even though the mystery was tarnished, the criminals were almost more afraid now than ever. Now that they know he has no family to go after and has virtually no weaknesses to exploit, they were now less concerned with his true identity.

PAST CONVERSATION WITH BRUCE WAYNE AFTER THE DARK KNIGHT CAME OUT:
Batman slams me (in my Clark Kent form) against the wall and yells, "What the hell were you thinking by making this movie!? It threatens everything we do here!"

I smiled and said, "Are you kidding? I've made you a hero celebrated by the masses. You're no longer a myth, you're a legend. Little kids will dress like Batman now instead of just Superman."

Batman yelled, "I didn't ask for that! The point of Batman is to be in the shadows!"

I replied, "There was already news footage out there about Batman even before my movies. And it was only a matter of time before your activities were further illuminated in the media. With the explosion of smartphones, everyone has a camera. Do you really think people wouldn't capture footage of you even if you tried to blend with the shadows? Your fights often involve loud explosions and gunfire. If you haven't noticed, people tend to either run away from the explosions or towards them so they can post evidence of the big fights on social media."

"You've threatened my secret identity! There are enough clues in there to lead to me. A wealthy man being behind the suit? Someone who dated an assistant DA?!" Batman shouted.

"And who couldn't have figured out you had access to money? You drive a multi-million dollar tank. You have fancy expensive gadgets, drones, helicopters, planes, etc. So either Batman is wealthy himself or he has a wealthy backer. I changed your wealthy philanthropist parents to inventors to help lead anyone who would guess about your identity away from the trail. But now that people know your parents were murdered, the love of your life was murdered, and all of your ties were overseas, who's even going to be interested in your secret identity beyond fanatics? If anything, I've helped secure your secret identity by leading so many false trails! The speculation as to who you are was already out there on superhero forums discussing how you could afford all those gadgets! I made it out that you were the inventor and you owned patents that made you wealthy!" I replied passionately.

Batman began to calm down.

"I never asked for this. You're glorifying what we do. First, the Superman movie. And now, Batman gets TWO movies about me and my greatest adversaries for the entertainment of the masses. I can't believe you've done this." Batman said.

"Bruce." I said. "You're missing the whole point of these movies beyond helping fund the Justice League with box office proceeds and DVD rentals/sales."

"And that is?"

"I'm exposing that superheroes are real people with real lives. Now, people know that Batman isn't some vigilante because he wants to beat up criminals. They know his loving parents were murdered in front of him and his childhood and life were ruined by criminality. You've dedicated your life to fighting crime because you don't want another kid in an alleyway to watch their parents get shot in front of them after leaving the movie theater showing of The Mark of Zorro."

"How could you possibly know all that?" Batman asked.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you, but trust me. Your secret's safe with me." I said.

Batman looked disgruntled.

"Just think, Bruce," I said. "The story of your life has grossed billions of dollars, will likely win Academy Awards, and be watched over and over by millions. You'll be a household name like Superman."

Batman grunts.

"So...be honest now, please?" I said.

"What?" Batman asked.

"What did you think of The Dark Knight?" I asked.

Batman looked reluctant to answer but said, "It was...adequate."

"Oh, come on! Adequate!? Stop lying! Just tell me the truth. Did you enjoy the movie? Was it better than the first?" I pestered him.

"Fine! I liked it a lot. It was a great movie! Satisfied!? Batman said.

"Very." I said smugly. "Now, what did you think of The Joker? Was he as good as the real thing?"

Batman said, "Psh. This is exactly what The Joker needs. To be seen on the big screen." He rolls his eyes. "I bet he's loving the attention."

"So was his portrayal accurate?"

"He's not as terrifying or entertaining as the Heath Ledger portrayal which will definitely piss off The Joker. Are you prepared to be targeted by him in revenge?" Batman said.

"If the League of Assassins hasn't got me yet for how they were portrayed in Batman Begins, then The Joker isn't going to get me for The Dark Knight." I responded.

Batman said, "Be careful, Clark. You're swimming in dangerous waters."

"I knew that when I signed up for this." I said.

I transmigrated into the body of a teenage Clark Kent in the Smallville universe. What will I do differently?

"You always have a choice! The choice to do the right thing! But this is the choice you made. You chose to hurt and betray your comrades and friends for sake of that evil organization! Is it really worth it?" Erick yelled back at him.
"YES!!! IT'S WORTH IT!... All worth it!" General Jason burst out, answering Erick's question.
General Jason's eyes were now clear. There was no hint of remorse from them. It seemed like he turned into a different person now. He was no longer the 'Captain Jason' they knew before.
And this truth hurt Erick more. Not only him but also the other people who were listening to their conversation right now.
Erick was furious but his eyes started to shed droplets of tears. He was angry and at the same time, feeling sad. All of this was breaking his heart into tiny pieces. Elle could feel his pain by just looking at him.
General Jason continued talking, expressing his thoughts. "You were not the only one I betrayed. I've been doing this for so long. I should be immune to the feeling of guilt. I should feel nothing anymore. I feel no regrets." 
Jason took a pause, reminiscing everything he had done in the past. He balled his hand into a fist. His grip on his gun tightened.
"But… I had to admit it… I could also feel the pain and sadness of losing someone close to me… seeing my friends die because of me… because of my betrayal."
"If they were not clean cops just like you… maybe I could convince them to join me. But how unfortunate it was… my friends were all good and clean cops. So I had to hurt them whenever they would become a threat to the Dark Knight Organization."
General Jason was also getting affected by this conversation. His emotions were not stable, unlike before. He just wanted to burst out everything. He had kept all of these for so long.
Talking to Erick about this made him feel a little bit better. He could tell him how he felt and justify all his actions in the past. Besides, even if Erick could learn all his secrets, he would still die here together with Aliyah Ross.
After hearing his last remarks, A realization struck Elle. Her heart started to beat fast.
'No way… is this also the missing link in my father's case?'
Elle's expression suddenly changed. She had a hunch that General Jason was also related to what happened to her family in the past.
"Were you the one who betrayed Agent Cedrick Falcon, the former head of Phoenix Special Task Force?"
Both Erick and General Jason averted their gaze to Elle when her voice was heard. General Jason didn't expect that Elle aka Aliyah Ross would bring up Agent Cedrick Falcon.
General Jason was put in a trance for a few moments, his thoughts wandered back to the past.
'Agent Cedrick Falcon…' His face suddenly became pale. Complex emotions flashed through his eyes.
The smiling face of the most respectable Agent he had known popped up in his mind.
~ Flashback ~
"Jason… my dear friend!" Cedrick greeted Jason enthusiastically, wrapping his arm around Jason's shoulder.
Cedrick was both his senior and his good friend. He was the one who helped him adjust when he was still new in the Task Force. 
He was put under a different team and Unit but Cedrick was always there guiding him and mentoring him. That's the start of their friendship.
Erick's father and Elle's father went to the same school. After they graduated they had to go separate ways to fulfill their dreams of becoming a true man of justice, serving the country.
After three years, both of them became respectable police officers. They lost some communications because they became busy with their work.
Another two years had passed, then Cedrick met Jason. They became closer because Cedrick could see Raymond in him. He became his best buddy in the police department.
Many years had passed, they built a strong relationship. Cedrick trusted Jason, treating him like his own brother. 
Who would have thought that the person whom he entrusted his life with was the one who would betray him in the end?
Cedrick Falcon became one of the most capable and skilled agents of the law enforcement department. He gained more achievements. Because of that, he was assigned to become the head of the Phoenix Special Task Force.
He brought his team to the greatest heights of fame. Phoenix Special Task Force received many awards for their achievements. The crime rate in City Z decreased ever since the Phoenix Special Task Force was formed.
Then an assassin named Phantom brought a great disturbance in the whole country, killing several men including a public servant, a politician. 
After many failures, the law enforcement decided to assign Phantom's case to the Phoenix Special Task Force headed by Agent Cedrick Falcon.
This was the start where Agent Falcon slowly uncovered the truth about Phantom, his life story. Along the process, he met the scientist, Mr. Carter. He found the missing link to the death of Phantom's Family. 
After learning the important information and intelligence from Mr. Carter, Agent Falcon tried his best to protect him and at the same time, to expose the existence of the Bio-weapon facility.
He had a perfect plan but he miscalculated one thing. He trusted the wrong person. Mr. Carter warned him about the Spies of the Dark Knight Organization so became cautious with other officers, except Jason, his good friend.
In order to implement his plan, Agent Falcon needed someone to help him. The person who came into his mind was Jason.
One day he told him everything about what he learned from Mr. Carter. At first, Jason helped him to secure Mr. Carter's family. Jason was with him when he brought Mr. Carter's family to the safe house.
Agent Falcon was clueless that the person he trusted most would be the one who would betray him. Jason told the Dark Lord everything Cedrick had told him.
That resulted in the death of Agent Cedrick Falcon and his family including Mr. Carter's Family.

Erick looked into her eyes and met her nervous gaze as he gave her his response.

"If that is the case, then I will have to put you in prison," he said in a serious tone.

Elle's heart sank when she heard it. She felt like her world fell into pieces.

"So... if I ask you to surrender yourself to me, will you do it?" Erick asked her softly as he cupped her troubled face in his two hands.

"Will you?... will you marry me Elle?" he added.

Elle:"..."

Erick took advantage of that chance when Elle was still in a trance as he brought his face closer to her and sealed her lips with a gentle kiss.
