I woke up feeling a heavy arm wrapped around my waist as the sun's ray slightly beaming between the small creak of the thick curtain. I slowly opened my eyes and the most handsome man yet dangerous to my heart greeted me good morning.
 
This handsome man who wrapped me with in his arms, who makes me smile will also be the cause of my tears and pain. 


I caressed his handsome face gently not to wake him up- I know one day this man sleeping right in front of me will finally have the courage to stand up and leave me for the woman he truly loves and desires, the woman he is intended to marry.

Dark slowly opened his eyes and captured my hands. He brought my hands to his lips to give it a kiss, " liking your morning view baby?" He said with his morning voice and gave me a smirk. I playfully slapped his checks, "Good morning baby," I greeted.


Dark gave me a sweet smile and said, "Good morning too baby."


Dark's lips were pouting and I'm not sure why he is doing it so I didn't bother and was just staring at his dumbfounded handsome face.
"Hey where's my morning kiss baby!?" Dark complained. 


I chuckled with his cute complain, "Good morning too baby" I said and smiled at him.

"That's more like it," Dark said with a victory smile and leaned in closer to kiss my forehead and he gave me a peck on the lips. 


He pulled me closer and snuggled himself closer to me burring his face in between my chest, his favourite cuddling position. But I couldn't shake off the feeling of something hard poking me below.
"Baby, stop being horny," I said to Dark as I pinched his cheeks.
Dark groaned and whined like a baby, "but" and he looked up at me with his pleading eyes.

"Baby you took me the whole night and I can barely even walk now. I am so drained and tired I can't match your energy in bed," I said explaining to him that it's really a no for today.


But Dark was still not giving up, " But please, let's have morning love making," with his irresistible puppy eyes and red pouted lips.

Dark's eyebrows met like he was digesting everything I said-once it all sink in he pulled out from the hug and looked at me seriously but still handsome for a morning look.


"Who said what were doing is sex?" Dark asked not pleased with the term I used awhile ago.

"Isn't that what we're doing, sex? We're both male and female with sexual organs that unites to give each other the pleasure one cant fully give. And once heaven's door opens it's also a birth of an offspring," I explained to Dark.


Dark laughed at my explanation and held my hands to give it a kiss after laughing, "Nope baby. Wrong definition."

I looked at Dark confused and lost with what he said, "Huh? Then what's the right definition then?"
Dark's hand caressed my check and slowly trailed down, " what we did last night was not sex but love making baby," stopping his pointed finger where my heart lies.


"It wasn't a casual fuck baby. Our love for each other was overflowing that we crave for another, it's not a simple sex but a way of expressing our love for each other. If you look at it in all angle baby, it's not plain sex because I love you. You don't need those dictionary nor scientific definition to define love making, all that matters is both parties love each other and that is enough," Dark said.


There was a warm caress in my heart with what Dark said and my eyes started to water but I hold it in.  


"So baby don't you ever use that term again so casually, I'll get mad baby. And if you do mistaken love making as plain sex again then I'll give you punishment this time and you can't say no," Dark smirked.


"What if I say no?" I asked.

"Then baby, I'll just have to seduce you until you can't say no anymore."

I chuckled "I'd like to see you try baby."

"Okay, if you say so~" I replied with a slight of disbelief but I know deep down that it's true. He isn't nick name as Dark the great for nothing.

I laughed and snuggled closer to him and rested in the hallow part of his neck.


It was silent but not awkward. 
It was the type of silence, where you can hear my heart thumping for him. Silence, where I'm not even sure if his heart now truly beats for me and me only. I felt him moved and faced me with a worried look. He touched my cheeks and said, "baby is there something wrong?" 


Yes, yes there is but I refuse to tell you because my heart is not prepared to be shattered. 
Although you did said I love you but there is still something in my heart refusing to completely believe in those words.


I stared at him for quite while until he broke the silent with a worried voice, "Baby, please speak up. Your silence is killing. Is there something wrong? Did I do something wrong ? Baby please."
 He beg, Dark Velasquez just beg and people who knows Dark knows he doesn't beg but he just did. 


I don't know if this is a solution my mind is making up for me to feel better but how I wish this is real.



I shook my head and finally replied, "no, no there isn't baby" and gave him a reassuring smile.


"Are you sure baby? Because your smile is telling me you're not. Baby you can tell me anything, we are a married couple so please spare me with your problem, don't take the problem all to yourself baby. So please tell me what's bothering you?" Dark's face painted worriedness.


"Nothings wrong baby, I'm just thinking."

"About our baby's futures. How our little angel will grow up and who our angel will look after."

Secret Love...

Many recent readings of the Tempest have emphasized the postcolonial aspects to the play, a reading that I find more fitting is a reading of Prospero as a God-like figure who might appear tyrannical on the surface but has in mind the redemption and betterment of those he disciplines. It is after all, Alonso who had displaced Prospero from Naples in collaboration with Sebastian and the enacting of the tempest to bring them to the shores of the island which Prospero and Miranda inhabit is the attempt to bring these sinners to repentance for their wronging of him by bringing them through a moral journey of recognizing their sin and advancing towards repentance. Prospero’s seemingly cruel treatment of his subjects, Ferdinand and Caliban, might also arguably be the stance of discipline in hopes of improving them. Prospero allows Ferdinand to experience hardship in transporting firewood in order that he might see that his struggles are toward an end and goal of being united with Miranda. While Caliban is resentful of Prospero’s control of him, it is Prospero who taught him language while Caliban, a beast of nature from which nurture could never stick, rejects these civilizing processes by claiming language is a curse to him and makes a **** attempt on Miranda, which he does not deny and in fact wishes he had peopled the island with Calibans.
	The problem with a purely postcolonial reading is that it denies the redemptive gestures that Prospero makes towards his subjects. Indeed, Prospero might seem a tyrant on the surface but it is not mere subjugation and power he seeks but the restoration of justice and the moral growth of his subjects, something analogous to God’s control of us humans as subjects. Indeed Caliban is the descendant of the evil witch Sycorax and as such has a pure inclination towards sin and depravity, which is why he makes a **** attempt on Miranda and Prospero’s disciplining of him has moral overtones towards it just as God disciplines those sinners whom he loves and desires the moral growth and betterment of.The problem with viewing Prospero as a mere tyrant is that it overlooks the fact that it was Prospero who was wronged in the first place by Alonso through the illegal and scheming usurpation of his position as head of Naples and Prospero, by orchestrating the events leading to the ship wreck on the island, is seeking to restore justice for a wrong he had suffered and bring moral growth to those he disciplines by bringing them to acknowledge it was evil to usurp his position and wrongly overthrow him as the Duke of Naples.
	A postcolonial reading also ignores the discipline and fortitude Prospero desires to cultivate in Ferdinand, who willingly suffers the hardship of transporting firewood in order to survive the trial to win the prize and hand of Miranda. Indeed the problem with a purely postcolonial reading is that it merely reads from the point of the necessity of resistance to Prospero’s tyrannical power, without recognizing the fact that Prospero’s gestures are civilizing and redemptive with the end of restoring justice and profiting his subjects through their moral growth brought about by his discipline. The emphasis in a postcolonial reading is colonial rule as an evil, while ignoring the civilizing and cultivating effects towards moral growth that Prospero’s rule has on its subjects. It would not be rational to defend Caliban’s **** of Miranda as something that is a right of Caliban, or Caliban’s purported revolt against Prospero after all hehas done to feed, teach and civilize him. Indeed post colonialists argue that the very act of trying to impose civilization on a subject is an act of violence, but as I have argued in a reading of Achebe’s Things Fall Apart not all subjects of colonialism experience the civilizing process as violence, indeed some from the Igbo tribe profit from the adoption of Christian religion as a new structure and order to their lives.
	There are also Christian overtones to the trials that Prospero puts his subjects through. Prospero lets Ferdinand endure hardship in order to earn his prize of the hand of Miranda as well as experience the refining nature of suffering. The masque that Prospero stages with Ariel appearing as a harpy to chastise the usurpers Alonso and Sebastian has also the refining nature of suffering in mind, first to bring them through travails on the island to come to recognition of the sin that has landed them in the trial and bring them towards repentance of their immoral usurpation of Prospero’s title in Naples.
	There is also an analogy for magic as a creative process which Prospero relinquishes by the end of the play, perhaps an echo of Shakespeare’s relinquishing his craft of creative writing, and a suggestion that the creative act itself is a God like process an act which seeks the betterment and moral growth of his subjects, us, his readers. Indeed Shakespeare’s plays have always been highly didactic, with his tragedies exposing the necessary punishment of sin and moral transgression such as Goneril and Regan’s fall towards ruin after ruthlessly usurping Lear’s property and Macbeth’s descent into madness and destruction after murdering Duncan the king.
	Hence Prospero’s magical powers are that of a God like creator who seeks not to imprison and merely subjugate his subjects to bend them to his will but to redeem them and lead to their moral betterment and growth, as was seen in his attempt to give Caliban an education, his attempt to discipline Ferdinand through hardship, and his attempt to bring Alonso and Sebastian towards repentance. A postcolonial reading merely highlights colonialism as violence without acknowledging the redemptive nature of civilization as Alonso and Sebastian learn that sin has consequences, as does Caliban when he is punished by Prospero after his attempted **** of Miranda. Indeed it is true that Prospero tyrannically subjects all his subjects on the island to hardship but it is for their betterment and moral growth, like God desires towards sinners, that Prospero also desires and hence Prospero is not a mere tyrant but like God, a teacher of lessons through the suffering that he brings about in order to instil discipline, repentance and moral growth in his subjects. 
	In Shakespeare’s sonnets, an apollonian love and platonic admiration for a faith youth or fair friend is contrasted with a Dionysian love and lust for the poet’s dark mistress. The platonic love for the fair youth is described as a love which enriches and inspires him, love being a ladder which he ascends in improvement by meditating on the youth’s beauty, while the lust he experiences for the dark mistress is a degrading passion which exhausts him and leaves him bereft of dignity and steeped in shame. Hence sonnet 144:
                               Two loves I have, of comfort and despair
                                Which, like two spirits, do suggest me still
                               The better angel is a man right fair
                               The worser spirit a woman coloured ill.
                               To win me soon to hell my female evil
                               Tempteth my better angel from my side,
                               And would corrupt my saint to be a devil,
                               Wooing his purity with her foul pride,
                                And whether that my angel be turned fiend
                               Suspect I may, yet not directly tell
                               But being both from me both to each friend
                             I guess one angel in another’s hell
                              Yet this shall I ne’er know, but live in doubt
                             Till my bad angel fire my good one out
The Dionysian love for the dark mistress is described as an evil and she is described as ‘foul’ and wanton, tempting the better angel, the fair youth from his side. Her female private parts are described pejoratively as a hell ( I guess one angel in another’s hell) and their lustful sensuous relations between Shakespeare as a hell (To win me soon to hell my female evil) and hence the relations with this dark mistress are described as sinful, degrading and shaming. This is seen in another sonnet 129:
                                Th’ expense of spirit in a waste of shame
                                 Is lust in action, and till action, lust
                                Is perjured, murderous, bloody, full of blame
                                Savage, extreme, rude, cruel not to trust
                             Enjoyed no sooner but despised straight
                             Past reason hunted, and no sooner had,
                              Past reason hated as a swallowed bait,
                             On purpose laid to make the taker mad;
                            Mad in pursuit, and in possession so
                           Had, having, and in quest to have, extreme
                            A bliss in proof, and proved, a very woe
                           Before, a joy proposed; behind a dream
                          All this the world well knows, yet none knows well
                            To shun the heaven that leads men to this hell
The passion and lust for the dark mistress are thus described in degrading and negative terms as lust, perjured, murd’rous, bloody, full of flame, and described as an expense of spirit in a waste of shame, the opposite of the improving, spiritual, inspiring Platonic love that Shakespeare experiences for the fair youth. Again a woman’s private parts are described pejoratively as a hell that shuns heaven and an entrapment, the love for the dark mistress are thus described as degrading, foul, lust, destined for hell as opposed to the heaven he experiences with the fair youth. The Platonic love with the fair youth is thus described as a marriage of true minds, a mental and spiritual connections and a marriage of intellect and soul rather than bodily degradation, a foul and degrading lust with the dark mistress, it is abiding as an ever fixed mark and thus lasts much longer than the temporal satiation of lust Shakespeare experiences with the dark mistress and this is seen again when he states that Love is not time’s fool though rosy lips and cheeks within Time’s sickle come, the love for the fair youth is thus depicted as Platonic and eternal contrasted with the  temporary satiation of degrading lust as rosy lips and cheeks Shakespeare experiences with the dark mistress. The love for the fair youth is thus Platonic, eternal, unshakeable and somewhat immortal as well as  pure compared with the degrading lust and sensual passion Shakespeare experiences with the dark mistress.The love for the fair youth is also described as a form of self-love in sonnet 62
                                  Sin of self- love possesseth all mine eye
                                   And all my soul, and all my every part
                                 And for this sin there is no remedy
                                   It is grounded inward in my heart
                                     Methinks no face so gracious as mine

The love for the fair youth is thus described as a self-love, an idealization of the youth as a younger version of himself as Shakespeare ‘paints’ his ‘age with the beauty of thy days’. Again, we see that the love for the fair youth is an idealized one in which he identifies a younger version of himself in the youth and thus experiences a self-love which he transfers as affection to the youth.Indeed, Shakespeare’s ideal love is a form of self-love since he loves none better than himself, in contrast the sexual difference with the dark mistress proves to be not love but lust in an expense of spirit that degrades him sensually rather than improving him and inspiring him spiritually. In contrast to this Platonic, idealized and improving love the love for the dark mistress is not idealized at all but experienced as ordinary and mundane in sonnet 130:
                                           My mistress’ eyes are nothing like the sun;
                                            Coral is far more red than her lip’s red,
                                             If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun
                                            If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head
                                              I have seen roses damasked, red and white
                                             But no roses see I in her cheeks;
                                            Again in some perfumes is there more delight

Shakespeare does not idealize the mistress hence or put her on a pedestal, he recognizes that she is of no spectacular or extraordinary beauty, her eyes are nothing like the sun and her lips are not bright red, her hairs are stiff like wires and her cheeks are pale rather than rosy, aside from that she has body odour and her voice is not in the least musical, she is no goddess and she is a mere mortal who treads the ground. And yet Shakespeare experiences a love that is rarer than any belied with false compare, his love for her is exquisite and unique rather than tainted with false glamorizing and glorification of her, it is a love for the very ordinary and mundane nature of his mistress that he experiences rather than the idealized immortal love he experiences for the fair youth.
	Two loves are thus contrasted in the sonnets, a Platonic, idealized, immortal and inspiring love Shakespeare experiences for the fair youth and a degrading, sensual, sinful and debaucherous love he experiences for the dark mistress in which Shakespeare does not idealize her or put her on a pedestal and recognizes that she is mortal and no goddess but nonetheless he appreciates her fully with all her deficiencies and defects. Shakespeare thus makes an unusual ode to love in its multifaceted and varied forms, platonic and sensual, idealized and mundane.

Smiling, Rafael went out of his home.  He got close to Dark right away. They meet in the middle and then standstill.
"How do you do?" said Dark.
"You're still the same, don't you know how to smile?" Rafael said then pressed both cheeks of Dark just to smile.
"Of all the souls I've picked up from the last decade, you're the only one who's happy because you're dead." Said Dark.
"You know who makes me happy and excited,"  said Rafael
Rafael stood beside Dark and watched his small house.  In Rafael's house, there were quite a few people. These are Rafael's adopted children.  When Martha passed away, Rafael nearly committed suicide. Dark stopped him, though. Dark goes there all the time.  In a couple of months that Dark visited Rafael, he always wanted to kill Dark, but what exactly can a normal person do to an angel?
"Do you want to see Karen?"  Rafael asked
Dark got a little stunned. "She is in there.  You know she was a great doctor, right? Most of her patients are grateful to her for being a humble and kind physician. "  said Rafael
Dark didn't answer. Even though Karen couldn't see Dark, he wasn't brave enough to see the woman.
"You know Dark, I don't understand why you can't be in love with humans?  Isn't Boss G is love, why are you angels forbidden? "  Rafael asked
The Rafael in front of Dark now is a 25 years old Rafael, but the Rafael who died is already 92 years old. He waited a long time for his time to be with Martha. Dark told Rafael about the baby left by a parent in a trash can near Rafael's house.  And since then, Rafael has forgotten to commit suicide.  This child is Karen, Dark's first love, and her first and final breach of the law of life.
"It's been a long time that you haven't visited me. I should be mad at you, but since you're taking me to Martha, I'll forget what you did. "  Said, Rafael
Rafael shoved Dark inside the house. There were Rafael's four adoptive children, two girls and two boys, Karen being the oldest among them. They are aged today and have their own family. Rafael has grandchildren, from his grandchildren.
"Why didn't you beautify your home, your adoptive children are already rich," said Dark.
Rafael laughed slightly. "Although this house will rebuild, nobody will live here. You said that my children are rich.  They will not live in this kind of place. "
Dark was surprised when someone broke into his body.  Karen came by and broke into his body. She turned around and hugged herself when she got goosebumps. Their faces are so close together that Dark almost kissed the woman, thankfully he's invisible.
"My first-born beauty never fades, does it, Dark?" Rafael said smiling.
Dark hasn't spoken a word. He looked at her. Even though Dark shows up, Karen won't remember him, Azra wipes her memory of Dark. Karen's 65 nowadays, but what Dark sees is a 17-year-old Karen. He didn't expect him to be close to her and fall in love with her, which is forbidden. Karen can't afford to live in the same house with Dark because every minute they're together, Dark can accidentally take Karen's life.  If he hadn't followed Azra, Karen could have been dead by the time she was 19. Dark would have chosen to leave the woman and forget her so that she would live longer and Azra seems right, creatures like them would never fall in love with humans.
"She didn't get married when I ask why she didn't get married. She doesn't seem to know, and she doesn't want to. "  Rafael said. "So here I died with no grandchild from her."
"You just died, you became a talker.  Martha will shock when she sees you. "  Said Dark
Rafael laughed.  "You're still mean to me."
Dark turned to his watch.  "Let's go."
"Just a minute," replied Rafael.
Rafael came out quickly, Dark followed.  He found Rafael collecting flowers. He smiled and drew near to Dark.
"For Martha," told Rafael.
Dark just shook his head and he touched Rafael's shoulder.

"Liz!" Lindsey yells.
Elize smiles upon seeing her. She called her early to say that she would pick her up at their house and they will go to university together.
"Elize, forgive her mouth.  I don't know why she's the way she is.  I once thought because maybe I like to eat expired milk when I was pregnant with her so that's the result."  Lindsey's Mom's funny story
Elize even bothered to go to Linsey's house even though it was far from where she lived.
"Mommy, are you saying anything to Elize again?" said Lindsey.
"Nothing! I just said it's embarrassing for Elize, our home is a long way from her home but she came here just to pick you up. " Lindsey's mom said so.
"That's how much Elize loves me, Mom," Lindsey said she went on to Elize.  "Let's go, friend!"
Lindsey hugged Elize, then took her out of the house.  Elize just waved to Lindsey's mom.
On the way, Lindsey was busy taking reading the magazine. She tells Elize what she reads.
"You believe in rumours." Elize's comment.
"You know, they're on the same station, they're probably sick of seeing each other.  Plus, most of the artists don't have happy endings. "  Said, Lindsey
"There are many, aren't there?" asked Elize.
"Yes, so what happens is they exchange partners," Lindsey said.
Elize's phone rang.  East's name can be seen on the screen. She immediately responded to her call through a Bluetooth headset.
"East, what's up?"  Elize asked
"Where are you?  You left home early. "  East asked
"Why?  Are you in need of anything?" asked Elize.
"Let's have dinner later, my treat."  Said East
"I and Lindsey are going for a walk later," said Elize.
Lindsey looked at Elize when she heard her name.
"Where? I'm coming with you.  Please please! "  said East
"I can't make a decision right now.  Just get back to me this afternoon. "  Said Elize
"Okay, all right.  Bye! "  said East
Elize off the call. She turned right when she came into the university parking lot. When she sees a vacant space, she immediately pulled over.
"Who is East?  You never told me about him! "  said Lindsey
"He's a close friend,"  Elize replied
"Just a close friend?  Really?"  Lindsey's office
"Yes!  East is my childhood friend. "  Said Elize
"Your childhood friend invited you on a date?" Lindsey joked again.
"He's payin' back on me. So what? Are you going with us? "  said Elize
"It's a date, Liz. I don't want to be a chaperone, it's embarrassing. "  Said, Lindsey
"I told you it isn't a date. He said he will pay for everything. I'm thinking of going to the bar later, what do you think?"  Said Elize
"Geez, why didn't you tell me right away.  All right, I'll come! "  said Lindsey with a laugh

Trans was dumbfounded, looking at Dark. When Dark noticed him, he immediately left in front of Trans and returned to his desk.
"Are you serious?"  Trans asked.
Trans knew he had a stupid question.  He couldn't even understand why Dark suddenly wanted to show him his house; he was happy.
"As long as you're not busy with backlogs." Said Dark.
Dark walked again, he was heading out of the office.
"You can check me out at the university if you want," Dark said until he left the office.
Trans smiled widely when Auie went into the office.
"You got a great smile, baby!" said Auie.
Auie sat on Trans's lap, then swung his arms around him.
"Dark is supposed to take me to his new house,"  Trans said happily
"Has he got home yet?  It's enviable. " Auie said she left Trans' lap and sat on the couch.  "Baby, I got something to eat, let's eat."
Trans got up right away and approached Auie. He looked at Auie.  The woman noticed this.
"Why do you stare at me?" said Auie.
"Do you no longer like Dark?" asked Trans seriously.
"Why did you ask all of a sudden?" asked Auie.

She put the food for Trans on the table.
"You had liked him for a long time, 200 years, if I am not mistaken, you suddenly liked me," said Trans.
Auie looked at Trans.  "Ask what you want to know, you're still wandering around, baby.  Come on, spill it! "
"I'm just wondering, do you like me?  Is this because I was interested in you? "  Trans asked

Auie stopped what she was doing. Dark and I had this conversation.  No matter how hard I try, he won't like me. He says that my eyes and emotions should not focus exclusively on him alone.  He also said that I didn't see who was meant for me because I was only looking at him.  He said to stop hoping because he had no plans to love. "
"Why me? Is it because when I became your boyfriend, you were always seeing Dark? "  Trans asked. "You are my first love Auie, I only care about my heart too."
Trans knows what he's asking is as stupid as he is. If Auie suddenly punched him, he can't blame her.
"Why you?  Because you're nice, you think of me as a friend even though I always insult and hate you. I don't know why I feel that way about you, I just realized that Dark was right. "  Said Auie
"What did Dark tell you?" Trans's curious question.
"I'm not mad at you, I just thought of it.  I'm just ashamed to admit it. That you're everything to me. Dark's handsome, but he's boring.  He can't smile, if we stay together, I'll look crazy when I'm around him. "  Said Auie. "I'll laugh along with my jokes, you get what I mean?"
He laughed at everything Auie said. Auie got right close to Trans.
When you're with me, we're always happy, right?  I'm not going to look crazy." Auie said. "Because you're crazier than me."
Auie and Trans giggled. "I just love you the way you are, Trans. Dark is just part of my past, and you are my present."
"I can be your future if you like," Trans said.
Auie just smile and pinched Trans both ears.  "Will you come with me later to Dark's house?"  Trans asked
"Of course. I can cook for both of you. "  Said Auie

She's protecting someone else in the same way she used to protect him from people. He grits his teeth. That child is taking his place in her heart. "Do you love him more than you love me?"
"What?" Ari wrinkles her nose. "Who says that I love you?"
"I say it." He scowls at her darkly. "You love me. You told me that many times. Are you going to take back your words because you found another innocent child who calls you sister?"
"Don't start again," She snaps, enraged by his words. "He's a child. You are an adult -- a god, Adira. You are a god."
"So what?" He crosses his arms, creasing his forehead. "What I am to you?"
"My ex." She raises her chin and tells him, "I broke up with you that day."
Aren, who's been watching them argue for a while, wonders if he has come at a wrong time. He wants to meet his brother, although he can't see him. The dark god and the renasir are having a lover's quarrel. It's good that he didn't pursue her after finding out that she is the dark god's bride. The dark god won't even spare a child. Then, what would have he done to him? 
"I didn't agree with it." The dark god has had enough of it. He takes long strides toward her and grabs her arm. "Leave with me."
She stomps on his foot. "I refuse."
So, it's going to be like this. He lets go of her arm. "You are really not going to come with me?"
"I am going to look for the way to draw a true name for this child." Ari relaxes her shoulders when Adira steps away from her, making some distance. "Besides, you and I--"
The words are left hanging in the air. Ari widens her eyes, shocked by the view. Not just her. Everyone around her gasps when they see it, wondering what is going on.
The Dark God has turned into a chubby three-year-old toddler with porcelain skin, baby pink lips, big round eyes, a small nose, and dark hair. He's wearing a small black robe. Lifting his round chin, Adira clasps his hands behind his back and pouts. 
She's basically looking at a mini-version of Adira.
She's going to love someone else more than him? That's unacceptable. He's a god. He can change his forms with a flicker of his fingers. "Why are you silent? Do you still like that child more than me?"
At the moment, Ari is trying to figure out Adira's real age. He was imprisoned more than ten thousand years ago. Before that, he was already married to Amara for a few years. Then, he should have been at a marriageable age when he met Amara. In any case, Adira is old. Super old. Her age is nothing compared to his. Then, why is he so dumb? 
He doesn't even have the intelligence of a three-year-old boy.
She shakes her head and turns around. Adira opens his mouth to call her name. Just then, he hears a chuckle.
Though he can't see the child, he could hear his voice. The nameless child is laughing. 
"Pretty Sister is mine." Ai takes his tongue out of his mouth, mocking the toddler in front of him. Adira can't see the mockery, but he could sense it. He clenches his fists and waddles behind Ari. 
"Ari, he's laughing at me," He complains with a loud voice, following her as she walks toward Kresi and others. Aren sighs and walks behind them. Just what is he seeing?
"Oh, my!" Ea presses her palms together when she sees the play happening in the midst of the hall. "Are we seeing the Dark God's child avatar?"
"I think that I am lucky." Niela sighs. The Dark God's idiocy is too much. "I am so lucky that I didn't chase him for long."
"He's so cute. I want a son like that." Mirinae fists her hands, looking at Adira with sparkling eyes. "Where's my husband? I need to make a baby."
"You already have three daughters." Mahuna makes a face at her. "You want more?"
"Yes, I forgot..." Mirinae slumps her shoulders. "Having three notorious daughters is tiring enough."
"Why is she acting like that?" Niela stares at Ari's back. "The Dark God even took that humiliating form to earn her love back. She should be happy."
"Will you be  happy?" Mahuna questions her with a solemn voice. "If you see your man in a child form? Would you carry him in your arms like a mother?"
The Dark God stumbles on his feet and falls on his face. He's not used to this body. It's awkward to walk around with small feet. 
Hearing him fall behind her, she halts in her track. Ari purses her lips, wanting to look behind. Just then, Ai lifts his head and looks at her. "Pretty Sister?"
"Hm?" Ari meets his red eyes.
"Are you going to give me to him?" He blinks his eyes slowly. "I won't do anything bad anymore, Pretty Sister. I will listen to you."
"I am never going to give you to him," She assures him. "Child, I won't let anyone harm you."
A wide smile appears on Ai's lips. "Pretty Sister, I love you."
She kisses Ai's cheek. "I love you too." 
On the floor, the Dark God stares at Ari with disbelief. Did she just tell someone else that…? Did she kiss another boy right in front of him? His face turns dark. The air around him becomes tense and freezing. In the next moment, everyone except for Ari and Ai feels a crushing pressure on them. Though the gods can endure the wrath of an angry god, the mortals can't endure it. They fall on their knees and pants for air, sweating profusely. 
Seeing that, Ari releases her breath. She puts down Ai on the floor and walks back to Adira. He eyes her darkly, too angry to speak. She raises her brow, equally enraged by his usual tactic. They glare at each other while the people around them feel like they are dying. 
"Why are you kissing another male?" He breaks the silence first.
"That's a male for you?" She puts her hand on her hip. "Adira, stop being childish."
"I am a child right now." He raises his arms. "Pick me up and kiss me."
"Are you an idiot?" She frowns. What is wrong with this god's head? She treated him like a kid when he was Kyo. Then, he grew up. That's the end of it. How could he expect her to treat him like she treats Ai?
"You are turning me into an idiot." He lowers his arms, feeling dejected by her rejection. Suddenly, the air turns too dark and depressing, making people feel like they want to bawl their eyes out. 
"Would you also compete with your son?" She asks him with a cold tone. "Say you get married to some woman and--"
"I will only marry you. I will only make children with you," Adira shouts at her with a whiny tone. "You, only you! We should get married and make a son now."
"..." She pinches her lips together. If he had said the same words when he was a grown man, she might have had a different reaction. But it's a toddler who is saying those words to her. Nobody can understand her feelings. It was different with Kyo. It's certainly different with Ai. But this is the Dark God pretending to be a toddler. 
Adira stands up and walks toward her. He wraps his small arms around her knees and looks up at her. "Ari, please don't kiss someone else like that. Your lips are mine."
This man won't tolerate if she kisses their son, would he?
"I can't wait anymore." It must be because he's in his toddler form. Adira can't hide his emotions anymore. His eyes well up, tears rolling out of the corners of his eyes. Around them, the mortals start sobbing as if their hearts are being stabbed by tremendous sadness. "Ari, don't love someone else. I will become anything that you want. I beg you to hug me and kiss me now."
Honestly, what's worse than seeing his Ari kissing another male? Whether it's small or big, old or young, invisible or visible, it's a male. Actually, he can't bear it if it's a female either. He can endure if she loves and cares about other people. But he wants to have most of her love. That nameless creature is threatening his position in her heart. She even said that she doesn't love him because of that nameless creature. "If you don't do it, I am going to cry."

In class, Miss Bustier reviews how most fairy tales end, with the prince kissing the princess, due to love being the only thing that can defeat hate. According to Max, this is only true 87% of the time. During this discussion, Adrien is distractedly writing on a paper. Miss Bustier, believing he isn't paying attention, asks Adrien what she just said, and he does, word for word, without looking up. The bell then rings, prompting Miss Bustier to remind the class to read Sleeping Beauty by Charles Perrault. She dismisses them, wishing them a happy Valentine's Day.

Adrien remains at his desk, pondering what else to write on the paper, before he becomes frustrated, crumples it into a ball, and throws it away. Marinette stayed behind, rifling through the trash can for the paper. During this, Chloé and Sabrina stop Adrien from leaving. Chloé asks Adrien to sign a poster, and Adrien declines as he does not enjoy giving autographs. Chloé reassures Adrien that he isn't signing a poster, but a petition against hamsters' cruelty — due to the ugly sweaters they're forced to wear. Annoyed, he signs it, walking away. At that moment, Chloé spots Marinette searching through the trash can. She and Sabrina make rude jokes about Marinette being too poor for food and new clothes, then run away, laughing.

Marinette, however, finds the note. Translated from French, it says, "Your hair is jet black, your eyes as blue as the heavens, I want to ask who you are behind your mysterious mask. I see you every day and I would like you to give me a sign, I shall love you 'til the end of my days, will you be my Valentine?"

Tikki is surprised by the fact that it was a love letter but assures Marinette that it is about her, even when Marinette states that there are many other girls with black hair and blue eyes. Tikki also mentions that the "mysterious mask" is about Marinette's inner self. Marinette jumps up and down excitedly, telling Tikki to pinch her as she must be dreaming. Tikki is confused by this but pinches Marinette anyway, causing Marinette to shout.

After the school day ends, Max hands Kim a box, stating that inside the box was the piece of jewelry girls loved most. Kim opens the heart-shaped box, revealing a yellow brooch with large blue gems and 10 pearls of varying size. Alya sees this and drags Marinette over, wondering whom it is for. Max almost reveals whom, but Kim shushes him, stating, "The walls have ears." Alya, the reporter that she is, begins recording, asking Kim, who the lucky lady is, but Marinette stops her, excited for Kim. Kim then begins to despair because he hasn't yet asked the girl to be his Valentine and doubts that she would accept. Marinette reassures him that the girl will love Kim's gift and that he should have no regrets.

Max gives Kim a map with red and yellow highlights on it. The yellow markings are the girl's route, and the red ones are Kim's. He has to get to the Pont des Arts within two minutes in order to cross her path. Thanking Marinette, Kim sprints to the bridge, jewelry box in hand. Alya then nudges Marinette, claiming Marinette should take her own advice. This leads to Marinette deciding to write Adrien a letter about her feelings for him.

Chloé and Sabrina stand outside the school next to a pillar with one of Adrien's new posters on it and with several girls, including Mireille Caquet and Aurore Beauréal, standing around it. Chloé tells the girls to stop gushing over Adrien as he is now hers. She then has Sabrina unroll the poster that Adrien unwittingly signed earlier. It is a copy of the one on the pillar, only it says, "To Chloé, the most wonderful girl of the universe and the love of my life," signed by Adrien. This causes the girls to burst out crying. Chloé tells Sabrina to rub the poster in their faces if they aren't crying enough.

Back in Marinette's room, Marinette is at her desk, writing words, then scratching them out on a piece of paper. She complains to Tikki that writing love letters are difficult. Tikki suggests that Marinette just needs to write a response to Adrien's letter. Marinette wonders why she didn't think of that earlier, then Alya enters, holding a pink heart-shaped card. Marinette immediately gets to work, her words coming easier as she writes. When she's finished, Alya reminds her to sign the card, but both of them become distracted when a ladybug enters the room, landing on the card. Alya mentions ladybugs bring good luck, "especially to cute lovers," referring to a recent post she made about ladybugs on the Ladyblog.

In Adrien's room, Adrien and Plagg view Ladyblog's article on ladybugs. Adrien is still trying to figure out who Ladybug is, and Plagg could care less and would rather eat cheese. Plagg points out that Adrien knows nothing about Ladybug, but Adrien counters that Plagg knows nothing about love.This causes Plagg to list his favorite cheeses, making Adrien more dejected. In that moment, Adrien decides to tell Ladybug that he loves her. Plagg makes an adorable noise in abject horror before returning to his Camembert heaven.

On the Pont des Arts, Kim waits nervously for his girl to arrive. He hears her speaking on the phone and gasps. Kim has a crush on Chloé! Chloé is discussing an expensive frame for Adrien's signed poster, ignoring Kim. Kim steps in her way, stuttering before he gains his composure. He drops to one knee, landing in a puddle. Holding out the box and asking if she would be his Valentine, a man on a bike rides past, splashing Kim with more water. Then, the wind blows an empty chips bag in his face. Chloé spots this and commands him not to move. She then takes a humiliating picture of him, sending it to the rest of the school. Chloé leaves, laughing, telling Kim that her heart belongs to someone far more awesome than him. Kim falls to the ground, crying.

Hawk Moth senses Kim's misery from his lair. He releases an Akuma, claiming a feast awaits it due to the heartbreak and illusions on Valentine's Day. The Akuma flies to Kim, infecting the brooch. Hawk Moth gives Kim the name Dark Cupid and the power to break apart lovers and friendships. Kim transforms into a red and a black villain with wings, an open-heart bow, arrows shaped like roses, and the insignia of a broken heart across his chest. The brooch remains on the strap holding the quiver of arrows in place. Dark Cupid takes to the air, shooting arrows at people left and right, breaking apart relationships. The lips of people affected by his arrows turn black.

Marinette and Alya head out of the bakery. Tom offers the two girls freshly made candy apples, which they take. They run to a nearby mailbox to send the letter off. Marinette hesitates, her hand shaking, as she shoves the letter in the box. It is this moment when they receive a text message from Chloé, a picture of Kim. Marinette immediately feels guilty, as it was her advice that led Kim to ask Chloé to be his valentine. Alya offhandedly mentions that she hopes Adrien won't act like Chloé, causing Marinette to freak out and attempt to get the letter back. Alya calms Marinette down, saying she was only joking. Alya spots Dark Cupid in the sky.

Dark Cupid spots the heart-shaped apples Alya holds, shooting an arrow at Alya, claiming that every heart must be broken. This turns Alya against Marinette. Alya shoves the sticky candy apples on Marinette, announcing that the two were never friends and that Marinette's letter to Adrien was stupid. She runs off, cackling. Marinette glares at Dark Cupid, discovering the brooch. She makes the connection that Kim was akumatized and transforms into Ladybug to follow him.

Chasing after Dark Cupid, she spots him taking aim at Chloé, who is angry over the lack of karats in the frame of Adrien's portrait. Ladybug knocks off Kim's aim, causing the arrow to miss. Ladybug attempts to talk Dark Cupid out of attacking the rest of Paris due to Chloé's meanness, but Dark Cupid believes that he is justified in breaking hearts. He says he'll only stop when he breaks every heart in Paris, then takes aim at Ladybug. She knocks away his shots with her yo-yo. Using it as a shield, Ladybug skirts across Paris' rooftops before falling off a steep incline, holding onto the eave of a building. Dark Cupid loses her. Hawk Moth threatens to take Dark Cupid's power away if he doesn't find the Miraculous. Dark Cupid searches for her vigorously.

Ladybug watches Dark Cupid fly by. Cat Noir then appears, holding out a hand to Ladybug while he's standing on his staff, which is wedged into a wall. She takes it and stands on his baton. He pulls her close, shushing her when she tries to tell him about Dark Cupid. Just as he is about to say, "I love you," Dark Cupid arrives. Cat Noir swings Ladybug around, protecting her with his body and taking the shot meant for her. He hugs her, his lips turning black, and he squeezes her, stating that he hates her and that she means nothing to him. To get free, Ladybug steps on Cat Noir's foot, then uses the end of Cat Noir's staff as a springboard, flinging herself into the air. She yo-yos away, landing in the lobby of Chloé's hotel.

Cat Noir retracts his staff and returning it to its normal length. He climbs up the side of the building and finds Dark Cupid at the top and he is agreeing to assist him in taking Ladybug's Miraculous.

Ladybug finds Chloé and Sabrina and tells them to run away, that Dark Cupid is after them. Chloé can't believe that Kim holds a grudge against her and she thinks he's jealous because Chloé has Adrien, "a super hot guy from her class...[who's] super rich". Sabrina points to the poster outside and it begins to move, Dark Cupid revealing himself from behind it. Ladybug protects the girls from Dark Cupid's arrows, wraps Chloé up in her yo-yo string, and pulls Chloé outside, telling her to run.

Cat Noir jumps out in front of Ladybug and he stops her pursuiting from Dark Cupid while he chases after Chloé and Sabrina. At this moment, Ladybug really doesn't want to fight Cat Noir so she gets out of his reach and leading him up Paris' rooftops. She stops him with her yo-yo and she questions him as to where he gained all this anger. He tells her that hate conquers all and Ladybug counters that by stating what wins, love. From this, she realizes that only love can save him, and for that to happen, she has to kiss him. Ladybug chases after Cat Noir because she is trying to kiss him but he runs away and the tables having been turned.

Dark Cupid corners Chloé and he is preparing to take his revenge. But she launches into a selfish rant about her clothes and hair being ruined and she decides to let Dark Cupid change her and she is believing that things couldn't get any worse for her. Seeing how pathetic and petty she already is and he decides not to waste an arrow on her as she has no room in her heart for love and he is laughing at her while he flies away. Chloé is still covered in dirt and she is approached by Sabrina, who was turned dark. Sabrina takes a photograph of Chloé by sending it out to the rest of the school.

Ladybug catches Cat Noir by the ankle and she is tying him around a lamp post. Hanging upside down, she tries to kiss him three times, but he squirms, and Dark Cupid arrives. Freed, Cat Noir fist-bumps Dark Cupid. Activating his Cataclysm, he comments on how he always wondered what would happen if he used his Cataclysm powers on a person. Hiding behind a tree, Ladybug uses Lucky Charm, and a candy apple appears. Using her Lucky Vision, Ladybug spots the water fountain, Cat Noir's Cataclysm, and Dark Cupid's quiver's strap.

Sliding from behind the tree, Ladybug has her yo-yo swinging. She tells the boys she has Valentine's gift for them, spurring them into action. Ladybug defends herself from Dark Cupid's arrows with her yo-yo and ducks under Cat Noir's arm, his hand far too close to her face for comfort. She then pulls on his tail, making him stagger as she bounces on his head. In the air, she flings the candy apple at Dark Cupid's head, where it sticks. Dark Cupid pries it off, but due to its stickiness, he is unable to notch an arrow properly. He leaves Cat Noir to fight Ladybug while he washes his hands.

Cat Noir chases Ladybug around the fountain until he pins her on the ground. While he is monologuing, he releases her arms. This allows Ladybug to reach up and pull down Cat Noir's face, kissing him. When Cat Noir snaps out of it, he has no memory of what previously happened or where he is. Ignoring his confusion, Ladybug swings him up onto her shoulders and throws him at Dark Cupid. He lands on Dark Cupid, and the unused Cataclysm dissolves the quiver's strap.

Taking the brooch, he tosses it to Ladybug, jokingly pretending it's her Valentine's Day present. Ladybug goes along with it, gushing over how he shouldn't have gotten it for her before she "accidentally" drops it. She smashes the brooch under her heel, revealing the Akuma. Opening her yo-yo, Ladybug captures the Akuma, setting it free after she cleanses it. Throwing the candy apple into the air, Ladybug cleanses the rest of Paris. This act stops Alya from cutting a picture of her and Marinette in half. This also stops Sabrina from defacing the poster of Adrien, but the damage was already done there, causing Sabrina and Chloé to cry. Kim returns to normal, and Ladybug and Cat Noir fist-bump.

Ladybug's Miraculous beeps, sending her running off. Cat Noir stops her, wanting to tell her something, but he is unable to. Ladybug tries to explain the kiss, but as Cat Noir has no idea what she's talking about, she stops. He tries to speak again, but his Miraculous begins beeping, stopping him. Since Ladybug does not wish to see his civilian form, nor reveal hers, the two depart in opposite directions.

Back at the mailbox, Marinette watches as the mailman opens the box, letters cascading out of it. Tikki mentions that this is Marinette's chance to take the letter back, but Marinette has changed. Marinette learned that in order for Adrien to love her back, he must first know that she loves him.

Adrien returns home and he goes to his bedroom but he is feeling down. He collapses on his bed and Plagg tries to discuss the day. Plagg can remember everything that happened but Adrien cannot. All Adrien knows is that he was extremely mean, rude and he fought against Ladybug because of Dark Cupid's arrows. Plagg tries cheering him up by picking him one of the dozens of letters and gifts on Adrien's desk. He ends up seeing a pink, heart-shaped letter. It floats next to Adrien and he reads it and he is surprised that someone answered his letter. The card, translated from French, states "Your hair is golden, your eyes, green iridescent. When I look at you I would like to share your dreams and thoughts. Yes, I'll be your Valentine, we'll be good together. I will love you forever, my heart is yours." Plagg believes that with something so lovey-dovey that it has to have been written by Adrien's soul mate. However, it isn't signed. A ladybug flies into the room onto the letter, making Adrien believe that the letter came from Ladybug. He follows it to the window where it flies away.

Meanwhile, Marinette can't remember if she signed the letter or not, recalling a ladybug distracted both her and Alya. Alya laughs at the fact that Marinette forgot to sign something to Adrien. The ladybug flies into the shot again, and the end card appears.

I thought I knew what love is. *Spoiler* I didn't. 

I was 14 when I got my first real boyfriend. At first, I didn't really like him I just wanted to try because everyone around me seemed to date someone so I thought why not. But the truth is; you shouldn't rush into a relationship. Don't do the mistake I did. You should wait until you feel like getting into one. You know when it's time. 

I didn't feel love, but I felt something new. When I finally thought that I started feeling something, we broke up. Wasn't a surprise, I didn't imagine my future with him. He messed up. It hurt. It kept hurting for a while, but then the pain went away. I just rushed into that relationship, I didn't like him, I didn't love him, I messed up. I should have waited. At that moment I realized that I knew nothing about love. 

I didn't look for a relationship it just came, I fell in love on the way. I found someone who I think is special. Luckily when I confessed my feelings he felt the same way. That was an amazing feeling. Telling someone you like them and them liking you back. The crushing part itself is amazing. 

I started feeling new things. I haven't felt those things before. He said to me that he felt something that he hasn't felt yet and I said the same. We both found someone special who makes us full. I have never felt this way. I am just 16 but I think this is love. If this isn't love, then what is? It is this feeling that controls me. I want to spend all the time in the world with him. Just with him. I feel safe with him. Safer than I would feel under 100 blankets behind 5 doors and 10 locks. The happiness I feel around him is different. Everything is different when I'm close to him. It's like I'm blooming. I can open up my petals and show all of me to him. I can be myself, free.

I started to think; what makes you so easy to love? You are generous. You always care. You care about little things like my school days. You have the purest heart of all the people I know. You are easy to talk to because you stay in the conversation. You don't leave or ignore. You listen and reply with your own thoughts. You calm down my anxiety. You make my days brighter.
