There’s a boy named Nicholas, goes through a troubled past, and he doesn’t remember this until 4 years after. Little by little he starts remembering, either his family tells him or he remembers it by himself. His memory is not great nor does he remembers things well. This is how or why when people tell him what he did.. he responds with a “ I don’t remember doing that’s”.. a dark past soon to be revealed, problems soon to come forth. What will Nicholas do? How will he feel?

Knock Knock Knock.
After the rhythmic knock, Bain didn't enter but waited at the entrance instead.
Although it was a public restaurant, he decided to behave because of the intention that ushered him for the visit.
A few seconds later, Kieran's voice was heard. "Come in."
Bain entered.
"Good evening, Royan."
He pretended to be familiar but actually shameless. Bain then walked to the counter.
Kieran was still reading his newspaper, listening to the evening news from the tv in his seat. The only extra thing was a cup of tea beside him that Starbeck made for him.
Both of them went tea shopping in the afternoon, and after getting some tea leaves and a tea set, Starbeck eagerly prepared them for Kieran.
He was skilled in cooking, and his tea-making skills weren't bad either.
The common tea leaves felt different in Starbeck's hands.
The first taste wasn't bogged down by the bitterness; it felt rich and left a sweet, pleasant taste in the mouth.
Kieran smiled after a quick sip.
His already bright mood from recovering part of his strength was elevated further.
With similar experience, after a full day of buffer, Kieran could already adapt to his new body, which had a portion of seals unlocked. He could fully bring out the potential of his body in the current state, and for a person like Kieran, being strong was necessary.
However, he must have total control over his own powers. Kieran had no need for powers he couldn't control, no matter how powerful.
More importantly, after recovering part of his strength, he would have more choices to proceed in this dungeon world; Starbeck would also be safer.
It was killing two birds with one stone.
Therefore, Kieran looked at Bain with a rather pleasant expression.
"What do you need?"
"Fried rice and chicken soup," Bain answered.
Because of the battle last night, the worried Starbeck did not prepare the ingredients beforehand, so the dishes he planned for today that required curing couldn't be served. 
Only fried rice and chicken soup was on the menu today.
"That will be 250, service charge 10%," Kieran told Bain.
'What?! You cunning merchant! Your food isn't just expensive, but you are also taking service charges too? Is there even service here?' Bain ranted in his heart. His face, however, was all smiles as he paid up joyfully. He knew why he was here, so he would rather not lose the bigger deal because of personal skirmishes.
Even though his smile was stiff and hurt his face, he continued the act.
After putting the money into the moneybox, Kieran walked to the kitchen, lifted up the curtain, and said, "One fried rice."
"Okay." Starbeck smiled, nodded, put on his bandana, and started to prepare the dish.
Unlike his cowardly self during normal times, Starbeck was serious during cooking and his eyes looked sharp.
Kieran leaned on the door frame and watched Starbeck in his cooking mode, his gaze showing admiration.
He wasn't just admiring Starbeck's seriousness in cooking, but also his smooth and skillful techniques too.
Looking at the cooking brought joy to Kieran's heart, so never once did he ever think that the price for a plate of fried rice was expensive.
As for the service charge? It was common sense because Starbeck was preparing the food seriously.
Three minutes later, a plate of golden radiating egg fried rice was completed by Starbeck's skillful hands.
"It's done."
After finishing cooking, Starbeck, with the plate of fried rice in his hands, returned to his usual self: the weak and scared Starbeck.
"Wanna have tea together?" Kieran took the plate of fried rice and asked.
Starbeck's eyes shined.
What did they buy a tea set for anyway? And a set for two?
It was exactly for this moment!
Overjoyed because his little plan worked, Starbeck removed his bandana and apron before he walked out of the kitchen.
He glanced over at Bain but didn't pay him mind. He went on and brought out the can of tea leaves and the cups.
The water for making tea was filtered and by Starbeck himself. It wasn't exactly sweet but was very tender.
The pot was an iron pot; the stove was a charcoal stove.
Starbeck pinched a little bit of tea leaves, put them into the pot, and poured the water in, not till it was full or overflowing though, just half the pot.
He lit up the stove, the charcoal turning red, and he put the pot on top of it. It boiled rather quickly.
A little bit of red sugar and ginger slices were put into the cup.
Unlike Kieran's plain tea, Starbeck preferred this kind of mixed tea.
The boiled tea was poured into the cups. Starbeck waited for 10 seconds before taking it with both his hands. He sat down in the newly purchased sofa chair and showed Kieran a smile.
Kieran replied in kind and also took his cup.
Bain watched dully.
What the… 
Why did he feel that he was the extra? 
Couldn't these two brothers get a room just for tea?
But…
The egg fried rice was really good!
Aromatic!
The chicken soup was not bad either!
It has been a while since he had such delicious food. Although it was expensive and the portion was small, it was worth it.
Looking at his empty plate and bowl, Bain wanted to order another, but when he saw Kieran and Starbeck looking at each other with meaningful smiles while holding their tea cups, he felt like he was excluded from the scene entirely.
He tried to speak but he couldn't find an opening for his words. Every time he opened his mouth, his heart would race as if afraid that his words would attract some kind of disaster.
The Herder believed in his instinct though. Having opened his mouth many times but not managing to squeeze a single word out, he sat down in silence.
The night was still young. He still had time, right?
Listening to the stray dog's barks was quite nice too.
Woof! Woof!
Bain listened to the barks and watched the hour hand of his watch moved three blocks around the dial. 
Finally, Starbeck started to tidy up the tea set.
"What do you want to eat tomorrow?" Starbeck asked Kieran while tidying.
"It's getting cold. Let's have mutton," Kieran said after some thought.
"Em. Mutton it is." Starbeck nodded and walked into the kitchen.
Inside the big refrigerator, there was all kinds of meat that they bought from the market, all handpicked by Starbeck.
After taking out a slab of mutton and placing it on the chopping board, Starbeck thought for a while before washing the meat with cold water.
The water flowing in the kitchen raised the anticipation in Kieran; he looked forward to eating it.
'What could it be?' he thought.
Staying with Starbeck had its own perks.
Each meal was a surprise; each meal was an experience in itself, worthy of being reminiscent.
Since they started the restaurant, Kieran got used to spending some time guessing what Starbeck would prepare for him, and it was his favorite part of the day.
Food brought joy, right?
Bain's patience finally wore off. The heart pounding somehow went off on its own, thus providing him with courage.
He looked at Kieran, who continued to neglect him, and couldn't help but knock on the counter.
Having been Interrupted, Kieran looked at Bain with a displeased look.
"Is there something?" Kieran asked.
"Do you know about the Dark Moon Treaty?" Bain asked the obvious.
He knew from Kieran's documents that his father left for the mountains because he wasn't happy with the conditions of the Dark Moon Treaty.
"Independent from the average, the treaty was made between the mystical Demon Hunters and the monstrous; both sides compromised to reach an accord." Kieran nodded.
Ed Wong did explain the Dark Moon Treaty to Kieran before in order to maintain cover.
Without the Dark Moon Treaty, the Demon Hunters and monsters might fight all year long.
The fights were fierce, and sometimes, certain houses or factions would end up annihilated.
The Demon Hunters grouped themselves by family, and the bond from the same blood allowed them to trust their comrades with their backs.
Fathers, sons, brothers, husbands and wives or even the whole family would be in the demon-hunting business.
When did the tradition start?
Probably after one of the monsters killed a commoner's wife and then the 'commoner' trained himself, along with his children, into Demon Hunters.
Since then, the houses of Demon Hunters became mainstream, and compared to earlier methods, it was much more effective with fewer casualties.
Although casualties were lower, they weren't exactly eradicated.
During a Demon Hunter operation, an important figure in the common world was affected and led to his death.
The whole world plunged into panic.
The Demon Hunters and monsters entered a prolonged war, and casualties went on the rise.
The commoners suffered as well, as collateral damage. 
The chaos lasted for around a month. In the end, when the commoners' casualties reached a certain height, those important figures couldn't stand it anymore and used the name of 'peace' to drag the Demon Hunters and monsters to the negotiation table.
After that was a long and tedious process where all three sides combed out their mess, compromised, and met in the middle.
In the end, the Dark Moon Treaty was formed.
Its name was a remembrance of the dark, moonless month filled with death.
Everyone was forced to comply with the treaty, which was to never harm the commoners.
Should either side harm a commoner, both the Demon Hunters and monsters would have to work together to erase the party responsible. At the same time, monsters who followed the rules were protected from the Demon Hunters' slaughtering.
Some agreed while others disagreed, but the majority's votes ushered the formation of the treaty, and then it was signed by every party.
However, those who disagreed did not comply at all. Some Demon Hunters that held blood grudges with the monsters took extreme measures—a part of them died along with the monsters, a part of them left in silence.
Likewise with the monsters.
In order for the treaty to stay in effect, the three sides worked together and spent a whole year to ease every tense party, but something else also happened during the process.
This 'something' was the reason for Bain's visit.
"If you know about the Dark Moon Treaty, do you also know about the Battle of Winter Night?" Bain continued to test Kieran.
"Battle of Winter Night?" Kieran was stunned.
Ed Wong never told him about this battle before.
"A year after the Dark Moon Treaty was formed, the Battle of Winter Night was created—it was to ease the grudge between Demon Hunters and monsters. Rather than forcefully stopping both sides, might as well let them have it. Grudges would not die off with time, but only continue to fester. The Battle of Winter Night was created for this purpose."
Bain paused for a moment before continuing, "During the winter solstice, the Demon Hunters and monsters choose representatives to participate in the battle at a certain location. The battle lasts for seven days. The winner of the battle receives a huge amount of Crossing Coins or some miraculous items. The reason why I am here is for the hope that you, Royan, can represent Ai City East Sector in the Battle of Winter Night!" Bain stated his true purpose."
"Represent the East Sector of Ai City?" Kieran raised a brow.
"Yes, the East Sector of Ai City. We don't really need you to win the battle, only make sure Ai City East Sector does not end up in last place among the four sectors in the Herders Election. We are sick of carrying the title of weakest sector! If it weren't for the age restriction, I would have kicked those bastards' asses!" Bain looked at Kieran with a sincere and hopeful gaze.
"You don't have to worry, we won't let your efforts be in vain. As long as you agree to participate, we can pay you 10 Crossing Silver Coins. Whether you win or not, the 10 Crossing Silver Coins will be yours, and if you do win, the reward will be yours to keep." Bain stated the offer.
"10 Crossing Silver Coins?" Kieran went into deep thought.
Exorcising the dead, absorbing the coins was his key to recovering his strength and if he could get a huge amount of silver coins through official channels, he would love it.
However, Kieran remembered how dishonest this man before his eyes was.
He thought things through without providing an immediate answer.
The very next moment, when Bain realized he had a chance since Kieran didn't reject immediately, he quickly stated a new price.
"15 Crossing Silver Coins!" said Bain.
Kieran remained quiet.
"16 Crossing Silver Coins!"
"17!"
"18!"
"That's the best we could do! 18 Crossing Silver Coins, nothing more than that!"
Each time he stated a number, Bain's face got redder, blood streaks even starting to show in his eyes.
"20!" Kieran finally gave his answer.
The number almost choked Bain, but he clenched his teeth painfully. "Deal! 20 coins!"
The title of weakest sector had brought them too many arguments and disadvantages.
Although 20 coins wasn't a small number, it was possible with the combined help of all the Herders throughout the 11 sectors in the East Sector.
Moreover, a Class B was definitely worth the price.
"Pay up first," Kieran said.
"Fine! Wait for me!"
Since Kieran already agreed, Bain had no reasons to hesitate anymore. He stood up and walked out.
Less than half an hour later, Bain returned and tossed a bag of coins on the counter.
"20 Crossing Silver Coins. Count them," Bain said.
Kieran opened the bag up and counted the coins carefully before looking at Bain.
"When does the election start?" Kieran asked.
"A week from now. I'll come for you by that time," said Bain.
After getting a nod from Kieran, Bain left.
But why did he leave in such a hurry?
Other than Ed Wong, all the other Herders from the different sectors were waiting outside the restaurant as well. He had to deliver the good news to his colleagues.
Kieran saw Bain off and then looked down at the bag of coins. His mind was adding and perfecting his future plans.
It was at this time that the phone on the table rang.
Ring Ring Ring!


Welcome to a virtual underground game with no protection, full of lurking players who seek survival, power, and fortune. Kieran chose to enter this VRMMORPG game without hesitation, because he knew this was the only way for him to escape death’s grasp. New theories and new facts surfaced from Einstein's theories. But the base of science were no longer as whole as it was when Great Newton. Many more has to be answered before a new holistic science can be made.

Heisenberg and Schroedinger comes up with two different formulas with the same result, Heisenberg's matrix and Schroedinger's wave. In his attempt to prove Schroedinger was wrong, Heisenberg failed and somehow comes out wish Principle of Uncertainty. 

Many experiments fails to reach the same result. No new holistic foundations like Newton's can be made, so Copenhagen group make the Principle of Uncertainty to fill the blanks. It's basically giving up looking for the explanations for the result and call it a day saying "The rest is unknowledgeable because Principle of Uncertainty said so".

They were so enamored with the principle so that when experiment that shows the same result appears they were so awed and conclude the atoms in question were linked somehow instead of admitting that laws govern physical properties that matters going through the same thing will have the same result.

Einstein and Schroedinger disagreed with those opinions, Einstein famously stated "God doesn't play dice" to state his opinion of the constancy of the laws and his desire to explore science to get the Theory of Everything while calling quantum entanglement as voodoo (unscientific).

How they lost: Schroedinger tried to show the fallacy of the Copenhagen group's thought by giving them a thought experiment: the Schroedinger's Cat, but they somehow taking the absurdity of the experiment as proving that they're right and instead tried to explain it by saying it all happens in multiple dimension.

So, Quantum Physics goes with a lot of absurdity, from quantum jump, quantum entanglements, but those plugins can't stop new discoveries, such as dark matters that is undetectable.

And so it was the 21st century when Sage Nozomi Otori challenge the Principle of Uncertainty by revised the Atomos Theory.

As Einstein's most famous formula stated E=mc2 proved that matter is formed by energy, so particle were made from energy.

Sage Otori discovered that a lot of things are going to be a lot simpler if you revised Atomos theory so that Stuffs -> Molecules -> Atoms -> Particles -> Quanta -> Energy with Energy being the Atomos, the smallest matter.

Hence you can explain Quantum Jump as being matter/wave turned into another form similar to the way ice/water turned into gas when heated to 100 Celcius, and the form that is to be the third form after matter and wave is the dark matter form, which so far still undetectable.

In his theory, since dark matter is the third form after matter and wave, and since both matter and wave have been each have their formula after Heisenberg and Schroedinger, you can detect Quantum Jump and dark matter by combining Heisenberg and Schroedinger formula to make new formula, one that is aimed at the dark matters. He succeeded. That was the Otori Formula.

Since all the confusion which prompted the Principle of Uncertainty seems to coming from the Relativity of Time, Sage Otori gives his own explanation on why time was relative: If you imagine passing in time as crossing through the river of time, so two people crossing different river where one river is 10 meters wide and the others 1 meter wide, the one who's crossing the 10 meters wide river is getting wetter than the one crossing the 1 meter wide river. It's a matter of quantity. And in the relativity of time, it's the difference between the quantity of time the two people going through.

The phase computer was the result when people discovered the "semi matter" to replace the "semi conductor" silicon and making computer out of this new material.

Only those who have gained a doctoral title may enter the Druid Academy and learned the knowledges the Circles of Druid needed to terraform the Wasteland, and the Universities only allows those with proficient knowledge to further their study there...

Theory of Everything:
Atomos theory: from energy -> quantum -> particles -> atoms -> molecules -> ... -> universe.
In this theory quantum jump is a condition where a particle goes from notable matter or wave into the unnotable dark matter before going back into matter/wave. It's similar to where notable ice/water turned into unnotable gas before turning back into ice/water.
The reason for the relativity of time is because there are quantities of time and space in the expanding space and flowing time and when matter going through different amount of space or time, the difference of the amount of time they going through shows.
Quantum entanglement shows that when two matter going through the same thing they achieved the same result. So it was a matter of looking for what laws govern them, not awed by the fact that there are matters that achieved the same result. It is the Law. And it is certain, so probing the certainty of the "quantum entanglement" will get you the law that govern such matters. 

Self Awareness:
The naming of things as humanity's version of Pavlov's dog resulted in database of names. Collected database of the names of things accumulates that human collected every names they needed to know to simulate the world in their mind: the worldview.
As human acted with the objects in the real world and the simulated worldview they're naming their actions - verbs, predicate, etc.
As human simulate many actions, they were able to simulate themselves carrying out actions in the simulated worldview.
Awareness is simulating the world in worldview, and Self Awareness is simulating self in action in the simulated worldview.
The creation of Ego (simulated Self, Self Awareness) and what actions it should take in the simulated worldview make way for Id and Super Id.

Ecosystem of Harmony and the Interaction of Everything:
To simulate the Earth and all its creatures and all its activities in one whole ecosystem that accounts for everything so that every creature's needs are fulfilled and every consequences of every actions are accounted into a single closed ecosystem, all part of harmony. 
Humanity administrate the Earth so that every creature needs are fulfilled and every actions and interactions integrated in a way that all creatures lives in harmony. All waste return to ecosystem without disturbing the way the earth works, but contributing to the needs of other creatures. All the needs and all the waste of all the creatures accounted in a whole circle of harmony.

After we all finished breakfast, we said goodbye and headed back off west towards the mountains. The sky was crystal blue, and the sun that shone down on us felt good. I couldn't shake what Feldrid had said to me earlier.
"How long have the Dark-Eyed-Ones been raiding and killing your people?" I asked Xalmia.
"Since before I can remember, and before that, I think. Our people have lost many records over the years due to the loss of most of our smaller cities. Only the largest cities like Medora have held them back because of their large crystal walls." She said
"Do your people not fight back?" Stell asked as we continued, the dew from the grass coating our boots, but rolling off like it did the blades of grass.
"We try, but they outnumber us greatly. I'm not sure how much longer the great cities can even withstand them. Our gods have seemed to abandon us." She said.
"We will find out what they are doing, Xalmia, and we will stop them," I said with full resolve.
After hearing the few awe-full stories I had, I knew that this was our purpose here. If we didn't change whatever was going to happen, whatever the event was would mean the end for Xalmia, her people, and her world. Stell, and I would not let that happen.
"Well, Stell, it seems we have found our direction in this adventure," I said.
"Yes." He said with that distant look in his eyes like at the river.
"I know, Stell, you don't want to kill anyone, and the gods know that I will make sure of that, but I can't promise the same from me. The things these monsters are doing to these people isn't right. I will stop them, Stell, with any tool at my disposal. I hope that when this is all over, you will be able to look at me with those same big caring eyes the way I see you now, brother." I said to him. There was a long pause as we all stood in a dip of on that grassy plain.
"I could not ask you to bear this burden alone, brother. I wouldn't say I like that we must take lives to end this, but if it is means of stopping this perversion, then we have to stop them. I will learn to push through my weaknesses and become stronger like you seam to becoming." Stell said.
"Strong? Me?" I asked.
"Think about how fast you stopped those arrows when Xalmia and her people mistook us for their enemy or making the Marble Cyclone spell? Your growing, Dak, and I need to catch up." Stell said with a warm smile.
"Aren't you two just adorable," Xalmia said as she clawed her way up Stell's back and flung her self in the air. She somersaulted forwards and landed on Stell's shoulders with a light thump. Stell barely noticed her as she did this all and sighed when she finally got her self comfortable.
"Onwards to Diamond Shell Crossing!" She shouted and gave a whoop.
"Diamond Shell Crossing?" I sent questioningly. "Do not be so loud. We should talk like this for now."
"Sorry." She sent. "Diamond Shell Crossing is a small strip that allows us to cross over Shellmakadoor River safely..."
Was it just me, or did it sound like she was holding something back?
"What aren't you telling us, Xalmia?" I sent.
Xalmia got a worried look on her face and turned away from me and gave a small shudder.
"To get to the Crossing, we have to walk along the edge of Diamond Divide Chasm for almost a day. You cannot see the bottom of the chasm, and there are no safe places to stop. Horrible monsters live in the chasm, and no one ever returns if they go down." Xalmia sent with another shudder.
"Why would anyone want to go down there?" Stell sent.
"Curiosity, some people aren't content with not knowing something." She sent.
We made our way west across the plains. We stayed in the lowest parts of the hills as much as we could, but we didn't see anyone. The only sounds were the breeze.
Then after almost the entire day of traveling, I started to hear a different sound. It was a hateful sound. It grew louder as we pressed one.
"That smell...."Stell sent, his broad face scrunching up as he screwed up his nose with disgust. "It smells like...anger and pain. It isn't the worst smell I've smelt. I can remember Zambar's cleaning pit being a lot worse."
"It sounds wrong." I sent.
"What are you to going on about?" Xalmia sent with an indignant tone.
That's right! What careless friends we were. Honestly, how could we have forgotten to mention it? That's right. When we fought the Magmus, it didn't have any magic, neither did the dark ones.
"We are sorry, Xalmia, a lot has been going on." I sent in a tone that I hoped sounded apologetic. " Stell and I can sense magic in different ways, Stell by smell, and I can tell by the sounds it gives off."
Xalmia slid down Stell's shoulders and motioned to follow her. We crept up the side of a large hill and peered over the top to look down below. By this time, it was getting dark, and the hateful sounds seemed to be at their crescendo.
As we peered down the hill, we could see a large camp of people, and I could hear Xalmia hiss "Dark-Eyed-Ones" in the back of my mind. We could listen to women's and children's crying. And their screams.
The men below in the camp were yelling, drinking, and pushing women back and forth. At the same time, groping them and doing unspeakable things. One woman tried to fight back, but the men just beat her and then dragged her into a tent. The chaos below made my blood boil. Then Xalmia pushed me.
"What?" I sent, but I saw why she had pushed me. Stell was gone.

"Do your people not fight back?" As we continued, Stell asked the dew from the grass coating our boots but rolling off like it did the blades of grass.
"We try, but they outnumber us greatly. I'm not sure how much longer the great cities can even withstand them. Our gods have seemed to abandon us." She said.
"We will find out what they are doing, Kade, and we will stop them," I said with full resolve.
After hearing the few awe-full stories I had, I knew that this was our purpose here. If we didn't change whatever was going to happen, whatever the event was would mean the end for Kade, her people, and her world. Stell and I would not let that happen.
"Well, Stell, it seems we have found our direction in this adventure," I said.
"Yes." He said with that distant look in his eyes like at the river.
"I know, Stell, you don't want to kill anyone, and the gods know that I will make sure of that, but I can't promise the same from me. The things these monsters are doing to these people isn't right. I will stop them, Stell, with any tool at my disposal. I hope that when this is all over, you will be able to look at me with those same big caring eyes the way I see you now, brother." I said to him. There was a long pause as we all stood in a dip in a hill on the grassy plain.
"I could not ask you to bear this burden alone, brother. I wouldn't say I like that we must take lives to end this, but if it means stopping this perversion, we have to stop them. I will learn to push through my weaknesses and become stronger like you seam to becoming." Stell said.
"Strong? Me?" I asked.
"Think about how fast you stopped those arrows when Kade and her people mistook us for their enemy or making the Marble Cyclone spell? Your growing, Dak, and I need to catch up." 
"Aren't you two just adorable," Kade said as she clawed her way up Stell's back and flung her self in the air.
She somersaulted forwards and landed on Stell's shoulders with a light thump. Stell barely noticed her as she did this all and sighed when she finally got herself comfortable.
"Onwards to Diamond Shell Crossing!" She shouted and gave a whoop.
/Diamond Shell Crossing? Do not be so loud. We should talk like this for now\
//Sorry. Diamond Shell Crossing is a small strip that allows us to cross over Shellmakadoor River safely...\\ -Kade.
Was it just me, or did it sound like she was holding something back?
/What aren't you telling us, Kade?\
Kade got a worried look on her face, turned away from me, and gave a small shudder.
//To get to the Crossing, we have to walk along the edge of Diamond Divide Chasm for almost a day. You cannot see the bottom of the chasm, and there are no safe places to stop. Horrible monsters live in the chasm, and no one ever returns if they go down\\ -Kade. 
//Why would anyone want to go down there? By your description, that should keep anyone with sense away, right?\\ -Stell.
//Curiosity, I guess, some people aren't content with not knowing something\\ -Kade.
We made our way west across the plains. We stayed in the lowest parts of the hills as much as we could, but we didn't see anyone. The only sounds were the breeze.
Then after almost the entire day of traveling, I started to hear a different sound. It was a hateful sound. It grew louder as we pressed one.
//That smell...."\\ -Stell.
His broad face scrunched up as he screwed up his nose with disgust.
//It smells like...anger and pain. It isn't the worst smell I've smelt. I can remember Zambar's cleaning pit being a lot worse\\ -Stell.
/It sounds wrong\
//What are you to going on about?\\ -Kade.
That's right! What careless friends we were. Honestly, how could we have forgotten to mention it? That's right. When we fought the Magmus, it didn't have any magic, neither did the dark ones.
/We are sorry, Kade, a lot has been going on\
I sent in a tone that I hoped sounded apologetic.
/Stell and I can sense magic in different ways, Stell by smell, and I can tell by the sounds it gives off\
Kade slid down Stell's shoulders and motioned to follow her. We crept up the side of a large hill and peered over the top to look down below. It was getting dark by this time, and the hateful sounds seemed to be at their crescendo.
As we peered down the hill, we could see a large camp of people, and I could hear Kade hiss "Dark-Eyed-Ones" in the back of my mind. We could listen to women's and children's crying. And their screams.
The men below in the camp were yelling, drinking, and pushing women back and forth. At the same time, groping them and doing unspeakable things. One woman tried to fight back, but the men just beat her and then dragged her into a tent. The chaos below made my blood boil. Then Kade pushed me.
"What?" I sent, but I saw why she had pushed me, and panic started to bubble up inside me. Stell was gone.

The Wind-Rain Crossing, which was located 150 kilometers north of Chang'an City, was considered to be out of Chang'an City's safe zone. There were all sorts of dire beasts that roamed over those plains, so normally there weren't many people there.
Although it had been a major ferry crossing before the apocalypse, after decades of natural disasters, it had long lost its modern vibe.
The only thing that betrayed that it had once been an important ferry crossing was a tall concrete platform overrun by tenacious seeds and all sorts of sprouting plants.
The Wind-Rain Crossing was a grim sight in the dark night.
Amidst the light breeze and fine rain, a nightjar was cawing. The faraway howls and roars of wild animals made anyone who heard them perk up.
Although the land around the Wind-Rain Crossing was a familiar setting, it didn't look the same that day.
"Will he come?" Qin Yunhao, who was hiding inside the hole of a rock, asked, his voice wavering slightly with uncertainty.
Although he was hidden inside the hole, he was certain that he could kill off anyone within a 100-meter radius in under 30 seconds.
The calm middle-aged man in the black suit was hiding beside him with his eyes shut. He actually seemed to be in deep thought. His body was not moving, yet it exuded a strange aura.
"Although the possibility of him appearing isn't very high, this is a really rare opportunity," the man in black replied softly. "I have already sensed the traces of 13 people, including a number of old friends."
When he heard his words, Qi Yunhao frowned slightly. Calling these people old friends wasn't a very appropriate way to describe them.
"Have the 13 Shadow Wolves come?" Qi Yunhao asked. This was the most important question.
"Haven't seen any signs of them, but I can conclude that they have hidden all around the Wind-Rain Crossing. As soon as Luo Yunyang arrives, they will strike and hope to kill him at once!"
The two men spoke in hushed tones. There was also quite a number of other people like them, who were having the same sort of muted conversations. All these people had gathered there for one purpose: to assassinate Luo Yunyang.
They believed that this was a great opportunity, regardless of whether Luo Yunyang actually showed up.
Although they found his challenge on the Sky Vision a little comical, they still had no problem accepting it. He was still young after all, and young people tended to act impulsively!
"Will Luo Yunyang show up?" Although Nie Yunxin was at home, he wasn't cultivating. He was sitting in the corner of a large hall, watching one of his uncles.
The death of his older brother, Nie Xin, had made his family feel ashamed and humiliated beyond belief. If they scrubbed aside this disgrace, then their prestige and reputation would suffer a huge hit.
However, due to the pressure of the Rising Dragon Army, they couldn't take action openly. That was why they had placed a bounty.
This way, even if the Rising Dragon Army investigated this matter, they would not be able to find any conclusive evidence. The moment someone brought Luo Yunyang's head to them, the Nie family would honor their word and hand over the promised rewards.

"I'm just afraid that he won't be able to leave the Rising Dragon Army's General Headquarters," said a rather sinister-looking young man with a snort.
"This kid is arrogant and conceited. He considers everyone inferior to him. If he doesn't show, then the reputation he has built will be tarnished!" a gloomy middle-aged man said regretfully.
The hall went silent. Although the middle-aged man's words made sense, the people present realized that, despite their high hopes, as long as Luo Yunyang was hiding behind the Rising Dragon Army, they wouldn't be able to do anything.
"Can't our uncle think of something?" a boy whose face looked really similar to Nie Yunxin's asked.
Nie Yunxin didn't have a favorable impression of this boy. Actually, deep down he felt the urge to slaughter him.
"Although your uncle is the disciple of a Martial God, this is the best he can do. He isn't a Martial God after all!"
The hall went silent once again.
The chiming of a clock made Nie Yunxin frown. He was already used to this chiming, as it had been ringing throughout the Nie household for many years.
This sound meant that it was already 10 p.m. However, Luo Yunyang hadn't showed up yet.
It seemed like he wasn't going to come!
Just as Nie Yunxin started to feel extremely disappointed, someone came rushing in frantically. "Luo Yunyang has boarded a vehicle and is currently rushing to the Wind-Rain Crossing!"
The eyes of every single member of the Nie Family lit up when they heard this short, simple announcement.
"Say, do any of you think that this is some sort of Rising Dragon Army scheme?" a middle-aged man asked abruptly with a grave expression on his face.
"Whether it's a scheme or not, this has nothing to do with us. If the Rising Dragon Army kills off all the people trying to assasinate Luo Yunyang, then they will have even more enemies in the future!"
Continuous information started reaching the hall where the Nie Family was gathered. It was mostly news concerning the Rising Dragon Army.
The Rising Dragon Army's Combat Dragon Brigade had not taken action!
The Flame Emperor had not taken action!
None of the other Rising Dragon Army Squadrons had taken action!
All these news only pointed to one conclusion— the entire Rising Dragon Army was not taking action!
Every member of the Nie Family was extremely suspicious about this outcome. What was the Rising Dragon Army up to? Did they really believe that Luo Yunyang would be able to return safely from the Wind-Rain Crossing?

The gales were picking up as the sky above the Wind-Rain Crossing darkened.
When the news that Luo Yunyang was one kilometer away from the Wind-Rain Crossing reached them, yet another piece of news was transmitted. Luo Yunyang had stepped out of the vehicle and was walking towards the Wind-Rain Crossing with the ancient metal spear that had killed the Ravenous Wolf in his hand!
Nobody made a move.
However, thanks to the ancient metal spear in his hand, Luo Yunyang was able to sense traces of killing intent all around him. Some people concealed this intent, but there were others who didn't care enough to bother. 
One such person was standing under a huge tree about 200 meters away. The man grinned when Luo Yunyang came into sight.
His gleaming teeth seemed extremely eerie in the dark night.
Luo Yunyang returned the smile before raising his Speed Attribute to 300 without hesitation. In the blink of an eye, he had become quicker than the speed of sound and appeared before the man.
He waved the long spear, startling the grinning man for a split second. The man's body was suddenly impaled and lifted into the air! 


Violet skies, a world undergoing massive changes, a deficient moon, interlinking voids...
When the world experienced a cataclysmic event,the majority of living things died right away. Although humanity survived by hiding in the last safe zones, humans had to face mutated dire beasts and colossal source beasts that could break through the space barrier and enter the earth at any second.
Luo Yunyang, a young man who grew up in those calamitous times, obtained an attribute regulator and set out to walk the path of supremacy!


Chapter 12 : The search for Queen Destiny and Kip
Meanwhile ,
the same ten wild dogs and hyenas quickly run about after crossing stone , rock hills. , turning right still following the individual male dog that is their new leader. All ravenous hyenas and wild dogs come together for the first time crossing high , stone ledges every second and again. Somewhat - at some point crossing through two , huge , stone walls. ( Mind you , there are two gaps leading to Kip and the other deep inside " The Bad pits of Uprising " ) The male dog being all the hyenas and ten wild dog's leader decides to surround the area infiltrating. Mainly burning inside claustrophobic like corners below rocks and other jagged , blocked corners. Yes , I will say that they are fast moving gracefully about yet very strong. Their purpose more than one , of infiltrating is also , out dashing for a delicious meal. 
    The first half of the fourteen cats ; male lions rough and monstrously dash out of the skinny paths by the sides of Queen Destiny's tower going further below into a underground path. , using their front claws/hind legs to stop themselves in place then continue moving. The leader almost jack knifing in mid air through the entrance landing so rough onto the dirt ground it almost threatens to shake abit rapidly before falling. Each male lion from behind him stays in line turning left and right within quick turns. , causing most of them to ski on the smooth , quick sand like ground. Claws duck deep and short to long tails swinging out of control losing their balance. , but picking up recovery quick.             
The other half of male lions with lion six as the leader leading , has it quite simple but in the fast lane like a cheetah's lifestyle. He wishes of a better way to consider his options while on different paths out of territorial grounds. - at least what it seems , while clearing out of Sundaya. His crew follows taking a skinny path on the left of Queen Destiny's den home. , the leader turns right running down a short , steep , straight path evasively. , shown for leaping away from huge boulders blocking their path.     At first , the second cat in particular following behind the leader almost finds it hard to catch up to him because of his quick and tight yet swift turns. , having the ability to move behind rocks as obstacles in their way. In such a daring fashion.                   
That ' did ' seem like a problem. 
           The second coming his way to a huge boulder , halfway arches his furry , confused , facial expression. - Left , black eyebrow over his left , plain , flaming red eye , almost losing his leader that has already quickly went out of complete sight. , turning right leaping onto the stone wall attached to said path. , then bounces off onto his furry , short or long , hind legs. The crew of cats following the second lion after lion six trots. , coming off way too hard that their furry , sagging stomachs jiggle almost excitingly about out of place on a skinny/medium , curved path. 
  
   How fortunate their leader being on the other side of their path going at the same pace.
Queen Destiny ...
the tomlion opens her dark/light brown eyes facing a light shaded , infant blue , sky view. , seeing no other stone path from a long distance that shades over the bright white clouds managing to show it's color. It's a pit. In panic , she rises up almost slow/quickly onto her furry , long fours. Starting to cat yoga style stretch into a downward dog. , waking up her stiff bones , muscles and joints that are in her long , furry body. Almost vibrating too.
She slowly turns starting to walk straight then turns right avoiding a rock. , then left and another left. Going straight through a skinny , stone path.
Onto ten wild dogs and hyenas ,
All remain in place sniffing around their surroundings while walking as their aggravating laugh fills the area. , other quiet ones individually separate themselves searching elsewhere.  Four hyenas and wild dogs sniff close by one another as if a herd trying to make out a strange , strong , damp aroma. 
       A certain hyena is in the middle of sniffing not realizing he is close to a wild dog due to his deep concentration onto the ground. He lifts his furry head up turning right expecting to turn left. , coincidently seeing the wild dog's furry , unexposed butt. He laughs stupidly out of the blue then shyly takes a whiff leaving a medium gap from his nose to the wild dog's butt. The wild dog growls offensively turning around quickly. , while smacking him across the invaded hyenas' furry face. Turning his furry head straight after impact , he laughs seeming uncontrollably while falling back to the left after a hasty escape. , to avoid fighting with that wild dog and keeping his distance away from him. As the other hyenas easily attracted to the commotion watches what's going on between the wild dog and male hyena. 
Their furry , facial expression in bewilderment questioning : " What just happened ? "
          The wild dog leader lets out a screech obnoxiously as an alarm for the rest. , others already listening but still looking at him now. Understanding his response that is exactly like saying : " Knock it off. , now's not the time to be playing games. Let's go ! " He moves forward in a different direction while still in the area. He sniffs abit then runs quickly. The nine , wild dogs join in line following behind their boss. , fleeing along while the hyenas split themselves apart. , following in last place behind them in the imitation of a shaped boomerang or arrow.
The first half and his lion crew lion thirty two are still running ahead of his cats while recognizing not much space in the path they're on. He makes his way left quickly as his long , furry tail does after he left. The second cat went straight missing the path their leader just took. More cats pass crossing , crossing and crossing except one who took a quick glimpse at the left seeing a furry cat figure. He stops running standing in place miaowing to the others. 
        
         The second cat right on time skis onto his furry , clawed hind legs/front arms to paws into the dirt so desperate and almost self pleading to stop his furry butt almost slowly. , but plainly pops onto the dirt ground into a upright position. The others upright with furry arms/claws to hind legs follow behind him in unison avoiding a dark pit of deep pitched darkness. A tiny rock falls off of the ledge. After stopping , almost most of the lions stick their furry heads/faces high above the ledge. , watching with rather alarmed , furry face expressions of the rock falling further and further down. , after hearing a very loud , crackling sound. Still flying into pitch darkness to it's death. The eight cats turn directly from behind to the second cat who is VERY much of a coincidently to stop his same gendered cats that almost fell to their death into a pit. If NOT knowing that the path they mistakenly just went on was a dead end. He miaows again saying : " Let's catch up to our leader before we lose him again. "   The second cat runs onto his long or short , furry fours in the already crossed path their leader have already taken recently or - to me , in the quick , timeless moment that just seemed to have already actively happened so plainly.     All that can be heard is a loud roar that makes one of the cats in the second half become alarmed while still trotting. The leader looking left with a small turn of his furry head over his left , furry shoulder at the wonderful view that seems like dawn. The dark/light shade of a white crayon along with a light brown color in a medium , perfect circle/ovals in the background. Followed by many large marsh mellows. 
Thick , skinny , casually gentle and gracefully overlapping one another invading each other's space. Or going solo.
Queen Destiny ,
Lion six's roar is so loud that Queen Destiny is able to hear it from where she is standing. Onto her furry , long fours with her furry head/face almost lifted high. , standing tall and rather regal with a serious/firm look onto her furry face. To her right onto a high stoned ledge that seemed like the last. , as if looking at the first , stone wall gap that leaves a large gap of space in between.    
       
        She turns left rather than right where a gap is. , looking at a wildly long , puffy , fluffy , light golden/red streaked , mixtured mane from above a male lion's furry , big head. Silently.

This is a very , very long story about dominance , royalty , power and staying on top. Ready to fight , conquer or be exiled ?

Ten Truth Boats were in a row. Soon, with Thousand Star Maiden, Feng Yan, and Blue Fang at the lead, they rushed out.
For strong cultivators at their level, the first level didn't pose any difficulty. They controlled the Truth Boat steadily and shot out like an arrow.
Only Xiang Chunan, who was crossing the Ocean of Truth for the first time, was still spinning in place, sweating in panic.
It was Zhang Ruochen's second time and he didn't go too quickly. Instead, he took in the process closely.
Compared to the first time, it's clearly harder. Maybe it's because I reached the Saint King Realm, so the Ocean of Truth automatically raised its difficulty level.
Even though it was harder, Zhang Ruochen had improved more.
He stood at the fore and controlled the boat with his Spiritual Power. The boat cruised forward with a steady speed.
When he reached the first level's pass, Thousand Star Maiden, Feng Yan, and Blue Fang had already defeated the guardian and broke through.
The curtain of light before him shone with brilliant light.
The guardian appeared. It was semi-transparent and wore silver armor. "Defeat me to reach the second level. Now, you may choose your weapon for battle."
"I won't use any weapon. I'll use fist technique."
Zhang Ruochen clenched his fists and uttered, "First move of the Luo Water Fist Technique, Heavenly River Split!"
Boom!
When he punched, a heavenly river appeared. It fell from the sky, hitting the guardian and splitting it into pieces.
A casual punch killed the first level's guardian.
Zhang Ruochen steered the Truth Boat through the curtain of light and entered the second level.
The wind on the sea surface turned into a storm.
Every strand of wind was like a blade, producing cracking sounds on the Truth Boat. They seemed to cut through the small boat.
Zhang Ruochen grew careful. He wrapped his vast Spiritual Power around the Truth Boat and cruised forward more slowly.
Raising his head, he saw six Truth Boats cruising in the ten-mile-wide second level sea.
Thousand Star Maiden, Feng Yan, and Blue Fang were still at the front. They'd already defeated the second guardian and reached the third level. Two Deities were fighting intensely with the second guardian.
Three other Saint Kings were still cruising. Among them, the strongest was already a third step Saint King.
As expected, the stronger your cultivation, the more difficult this is. Instead, top talents like Thousand Star Maiden, Feng Yan, and Blue Fang can move powerfully across the Ocean of Truth.
Zhang Ruochen wasn't worried. Seemingly calm, he studied the Ocean of Truth carefully in the process. He made sure that his mindset was calm.

The number of beings who could cross the first level on their first try could be counted on one hand. Not even Ling Feiyu could do it.
There were only two possibilities.
One, Dark Fool was lying. He hadn't just arrived at the Truth Heavenly Domain and was just pretending to be stupid.
Second, he was amazingly strong.
The boat under him kept wobbling as if it was about to capsize. However, Chu Xiangnan's legs were very thick. They were the size of an average man's waist and didn't waver while standing on the boat.
He didn't use any Spiritual Power or even Holy Qi. He's just using his physical strength to push down the Truth Boat so it won't overturn. Is he a pure physical body cultivator? This thought appeared in Zhang Ruochen's mind.
Thinking of this, Zhang Ruochen secretly pulled back his Spiritual Power to control the Truth Boat with physical power.
But in the span of one breath, the Truth Boat started shaking violently.
No, it's going to overturn.
He quickly released Spiritual Power onto the Truth Boat and it finally steadied again.
I can't even control the Truth Boat with my physical power, but he can come so far. Could he be stronger than me physically?

Then Xiang Chunan yelled at the curtain of light, "Where's the guardian? Come out and fight with your Lord Xiang!"
Poof!
The second guardian appeared out of the curtain of light. It wore silver armor and was still semi-transparent, but it had many silver bones.
Before the guardian could speak, Xiang Chunan had already punched.
"Oh?"
Zhang Ruochen realized that when Xiang Chunan punched, he only used physical strength, but many Rules of Truth appeared on his arm. This multiplied the power of his fist techniques.
At the same time, Rules of Truth appeared on his legs. They connected the Truth Boat with the Ocean of Truth tightly like tentacles.
He actually cultivated Rules of Truth and is quite advanced in it, but he's still pretending to be stupid? Zhang Ruochen was confused.
Boom!
An intense fight erupted between Xiang Chunan and the second guardian. Many times, the Truth Boat under Xiang Chunan's feet tilted to a shocking angle that couldn't be saved and it seemed like he would definitely fall into the water.

After Xiang Chunan passed through the light, the second guardian condensed again. It hovered in the sky and stared at Zhang Ruochen. "Defeat me and pass into the third level," it said emotionlessly.
"First move of the Luo Water Fist Technique, Heavenly River Split!" Zhang Ruochen didn't add Rules of Fist Way into the technique. Instead, he punched with all his might and the precision of the technique.
Instantly, a dozen-meter-long heavenly river appeared. It glittered colorfully. Descending like a dragon, it fell onto the second guardian.
This strike only sent the guardian falling onto the surface of the sea.
"Second move of the Luo Water Fist Technique, Nine Twists and Turns."
Boom!
The punch sent the guardian flying back. It struck the curtain of light heavily and turned into specks of light.
"Pass."
A deep voice spread from the curtain of light.
Zhang Ruochen put away his bounding spiritual power and recomposed himself. The corner of his lips curled up. He steered the Truth Boat toward the curtain of light.
When he passed, his body trembled.
"Passed the second level. You received 1-10,000th of the Mysteries of Truth."
This voice rang out in Zhang Ruochen's head.
A gentle power rushed into the 144 apertures all over him, dissolving into specks of light that flowed through his meridians.
Finally, light covered his entire body.
He was both happy and confused. I've already reached the Saint King Realm and crossed the second level of the sea, and I can still receive Mysteries of Truth?
With his current cultivation, it wasn't difficult to cross the second level at all.

Xiang Chunan steadied his boat again after some violent shaking.
The third step Saint King returned to the land and gazed at the nine Truth Boats in the sea. He let out a deep sigh, feeling disappointed. Of the ten people, he never would've thought that he would be the first one to fall into the sea.

Tiresh Abhold glared daggers at Jin Rou after hitting her spot. She knew it too very well but did Jin Rou really need to slap it that she would be helpless without him during the crossing? 

"I'm still coming, nevertheless." Tiresh Abhold said firmly. It was an ironic statement after all the talking about how dangerous the sea was and whatnot. 

"Since it is a favor, I will naturally grant it. However, don't expect me to save you when you get into crisis. I don't want an extra baggage who cannot listen to my orders." Jin Rou said. He didn't want additional trouble and loose ends during the expedition, so he warned her. 

"I am a trained knight, so I won't be." Tiresh Abhold harrumphed, clearly still dissatisfied with Jin Rou. 

"Thank you for granting this old man's wish, young man." Drak said with sincerity. He knew that he couldn't stop Tiresh, so he wanted someone to accompany her there. Although Jin Rou said that he wouldn't protect Tiresh, he could feel it that if time really came to that, he would save her. 

"It's nothing much. You don't have to thank me." Jin Rou shook his head. 

The old man and Jin Rou talked for several hours about the dao until the midnight comes, when Jin Rou was about to depart.

Jin Rou and Tiresh were already by the shore with Drak by the back. The waves were strong enough to destroy houses but the kingdom's walls were sturdy enough to withstand it, so the people inside were safe. 

Each wave make the earth tremble as if a tsunami was coming their way. 

"Whoosh!" And soon, the big sea that seemed to be inseparable was split into two slowly but surely. 

"The Uncrossable Sea is splitting, you can cross it now." Drak said as he saw the big sea being halved, "Please take care Lady Tiresh. Please come back alive." 

For Drak, in all honesty, the revenge agenda of Tiresh Abhold was petty. After all, it was obvious that her brother would die there after being warned for so many times. It was a natural course of action. After all, it was her brother's choice, so there was no one to blame. However, Drak couldn't say this to her upfront and destroy her will. It was her choice, to begin with. No one urged her to do this. 

"Of course, I will come back alive." Tiresh Abhold smiled a little. Even she didn't know if she could return alive. But, she couldn't say it. 

Since it was already midnight, there was no one to watch them depart. However, there were a few eyes that were watching them. 

"We will go now." Jin Rou didn't want to waste time as he stepped on the sea, "Take care, Drak." 

"Take care." Drak smiled as he watched the two people's backs slowly disappearing in a distance. Perhaps it would be the last time he would see these two, but he was still praying for their safe journey.

Jin Rou and Tiresh Abhold were walking by the land of the separated sea. In both sides, they could clearly see school of fishes with different kinds. It was beautiful to look at and it appeared very peaceful. 

But Tiresh Abhold was on her guard. This was the Uncrossable Sea, where the dark existences lurk who killed so many emperors in the past. 

"Can you please ease up?" Jin Rou sighed and said, "You look so tensed as if you're going to battle anytime soon. Can you relax for a while? I'm here, so what can possibly happen to you?" 

"How can I trust you?" Tiresh Abhold shot a cold look at Jin Rou, "Besides, even heavenlies were helpless against this place. What more can you do?" 

"You think I'm crossing this sea so that you will have a partner on your suicide trip?" Jin Rou laughed, "It is too early for me to die yet. I'm still young, and I still have so many things to do with my life. There is no chance I'm going to die here." 

"So you're confident in crossing this sea?" Tiresh Abhold asked filled with doubt. 

"Of course, I'm the type of person that will never do something if it will jeopardize my safety. So I'm going to cross this place without a doubt. Those darkness, they can come at me anytime. It has been a while since I massacred existences of their race." Jin Rou said with a smirk. He was really looking forward of when he meet the darkness. 

"You're insane." Of course, Tiresh Abhold didn't believe him and just branded him as a crazy guy. 

Jin Rou didn't mind this comment. She could think he was crazy all he wanted. Later on, he would just certainly believe him anyways. 

It was said that the first day would be very peaceful during the crossing. And it was true. Jin Rou didn't encounter enemies here and could enjoy the sceneries all day long. The fishes were fun to look at as he slowly walked. He would only cross this sea once, so he wanted to seize every opportunity to enjoy it. The knight woman with him also eased up a bit. She couldn't be tensed up for so long as it would affect her greatly later. 

On the second day, it was still rather peaceful. According to the records, the second day has a 50-50 chance of encountering enemies, depending on one's luck. However fortunately, it looked like it would be another peaceful day again for the two. It was a good start for crossing the sea. But they knew that the darkness would come soon. So Tiresh Abhold was preparing herself. 

And on the third day, the clouds were gray enough to feel the heavy atmosphere of the place. Constantly thunderstorms could be heard as it strike towards the sea. 

Jin Rou looked up at the dark sky and smiled, "Finally, you appeared."

Jin Rou, the youngest Celestial King, was being restricted to go outside by his father for some reasons. Thus, Jin Rou was fed up.
