In the year 2083 in a dystopian cyberpunk Detroit. A fixer dubbed Nomad is caught up in a job gone wrong. In need of new limbs and eye. He agrees to undergo a new software implant prototype to get a discount on his new prosthetics. Little did he know this software is going to bring him from the neon lit slums to the top of the world.

The one from future cyberpunk world gets into the fantasy world and the truths about it

"You don't scare me," said Adham. "All the ones I went up against in the past said the same thing. "All of them shared the same fate." Death." said Zetsu. Zetsu crunched his hands into fists and ran towards Adham. Adham dodged all of his attacks without breaking a sweat. He couldn't break a sweat. It was too cold. He shoved his finger inside of Zetsu"s chest. Blood started to pour out of his chest staining his orange and black stripes. Zetsu clenched his teeth and grabbed Adham by the neck picking him up slowly. As he was about to snap his neck, Adham released a great deal of energy from hid body which made Zetsu fly into the wall. Zetsu vomited up blood and collapsed on the ground. Adham slowly descended to the ground. Purple aura generated around Adham"s body. Zetsu stood on his feet and wiped the remnants of blood from his mouth. "That was a cheap shot," said Zetsu. Zetsu clasped his hands together and sky-blue aura vegan gathering around his hands. Suddenly his claws turned incredibly sharp. Before Zetsu could react, he was punched repeatedly in his stomach. Adham picked up Zetsu"s one-ton body and slammed him on the ground You are making this harder and harder on yourself tiger man." said Adham. Zetsu jumped on his feet and hopped ten feet away from Adham. "I underestimated you," said Zetsu. Zetsu gathered sky blue aura around his body. The ground began shaking and rumbling. Rocks began circling around his body. Adham unwrapped the bandages from around his giant sword and held it with one hand. His giant sword weighed 2 tons. When Adham was about to unleash the power of his giant sword, the giant door behind him began opening, releasing incredibly powerful winds that were very cold. Adham's giant sword was blown out of his hand blowing into the air. Zetsu took the advantage and punched Adham in the face breaking his jaw like a toothpick. The force of the punch sent him flying through the Chosen Mountain, crashing into a statue which crumbled. The monks opened the door just in time. All the monks of the Chosen Mountain had incredible power but only use it when a powerful foe stood in their way.

Maddox"s Location...

Maddox just returned to The Realm Of Valadin. He wanted revenge. He would not have the likes of a machine to defeat him. It was unforgivable. He landed in a field that created a giant crater with fire and smoke rising out of it. He landed on an Island 2,000 kilometers from the CyberPunk Dokan Jungle. What Maddox didn't know was that the island he landed on was taken over by Acute Dark"s Soulless Troopers. The island was once lively and populated by humanoid creatures that went by the name of Villefort. The Soulless Troopers only arrived five days ago. Blood, limbs, and organs laid all over the place. Flies and bugs snacked on the rotting meat of the Villefort"s. When Maddox was about to leave the island he was confronted by two Soulless Troopers. "Well, well." "If it isn't The Fisherman or shall I say Maddox The Fifth." said both of The Soulless Troopers. Acute Dark"s voice projected out of the Soulless Trooper's mouth. Maddox crunched his teeth tightly and crunched hid hands into fists. "How did find out what my real name is?" said Maddox.  Isn't it fucking obvious? " I am an AI." I know all my greatest enemies real names, assets, and all their deepest secrets. "I can make your life a living hell," said Acute Dark. "Since you are here I can end your life." Both Soulless Troopers ran towards Maddox. Maddox stuck his finger out and fired a beam at the two Soulless Troopers. An explosion occurred an both of the Soulless Troopers were destroyed. Their pieces were sent flying all over the place. Suddenly Maddox turned around and saw more Soulless Troopers approaching. Maddox didn't have time to kill Soulless Troopers. They posed as a threat but they weren't important at the moment. He jumped into the water and swam back to The CyberPunk Dokan Jungle. However, The Soulless Troopers followed Maddox. Acute Dark placed AI form in The Titan. The Walking Machine Titan.  The Walking Machine Titan was Cornelius"s fourth giant machine used in the Third Great War. However, the fourth great machine was destroyed and sunk to the bottom of The Death Sea. Recently The Walking Machine Titan was pulled out of the Death Sea and many repairs were made on it. The Walking Machine Titan was now at least 20 times more powerful. The Walking Machine Titan would go up against The Towering Mecha which was also created by Cornelius. 

Cross's Location...

Cross and his friends and family were now heading to the Chosen Mountain. Orion was the reason for this. They went inside the ship they arrived in and headed for The Chosen Mountain. The ship was placed on autopilot and Sarah prepared food for everyone to eat. They hadn't eaten anything since they arrived at the CyberPunk Dokan Jungle. Sarah prepared pasta, that had over a pound of butter and cheese in it. Sarah always overdid it when she cooked food. She used many ingredients! If a normal person ate Sarah's food every day they would get a heart attack. Everyone ate Sarah's food and patiently waited for the ship to arrive in The Isle Of Zero Degree's Celsius. When the ship arrived in The Isle Of Zero Degree's Celsius it caught the attention of the battle sabretooth cats. The Isle Of Zero's Degrees Celsius had two sequencings. One part was called Frosty which was were Hydra the ultimate weapon was behind created. Frosty was however surrounded by a giant wall. The other part of the Isle Of Zero Degrees Celsius was Cold Hands. Cold Hands was were Cross, Sarah, Jesse, John, Orion, Lucia, Akashiri, and Naomi landed. This was also where The Chosen Mountain was.

One fateful encounter with an extraterrestrial being leaves a man named Cross with inhuman powers and abilities. What will Cross do when he finds out international criminal organizations and government agencies want to dissect him and use the powers of the being for their own evil use? Join the adventure!!!!!!!!!!

As our protagonist walks beside the boy chronomancer, he is confused of what this world really is. What he can see is a polluted, steampunk/cyberpunk undercity like the Walled City. The poor sit on the wayside begging for help that is unlikely to come. The stalls of the Main Street are full of junk proclaimed to be treasures and even some people shaking down some stall owners. Not too unlike Berlin. Ekko taps the nephilim's shoulders, "you listening? Anyway, you need a way out of Zaun to the League? I can take you as far as the tele-pad but after that I gotta help my people find a new hq."

"You have done more than enough. How can I pay you? I don't have any money..." Astel says while turning his pockets inside out. A pathetic sight for the former runner. He had the payday from Ares but can't even spend it. "Call it you owing me a favor," the teen says, "you seem to be a guys that can handle himself. You are familiar with the streets from what I can tell." Astel shrugs and replies, "Yup grew up on them since I was 12 so I better know what to do by now." 

As they near the elevator to Piltover, Astel feels a cold, fresh breath of air enter his enhanced lungs. He turns to see a tall, blonde woman looking at him inquisitively. "You are not an angel," she says, floating over, "You are a mixed race." Ekko turns and sees the woman and breaks out into a smile, "Janna, good to see the "goddess of Zaun". How are you?" The 'goddess' smiles gently and replies, "I am great, Ekko. Who is he, with wings of Divinity?" Ekko looks at Astel stunned, "You an Aspect? No you ain't stuck up on Mount Targon. What do you mean divinity Janna?" 

"He carries the blood of an angel within himself. Just like Morgana..." Her face falls at that name, Astel makes a note to research her for potential solutions of his parentage. Astel wasn't worried about his looks. He was a solid 5 foot 10, a bulky body because of the cybernetics and his race. From what Astel knows from the Mother, the people that signed him up for adoption put his race as a Changeling, a shapeshifter, so that was a common theme for prostitutes to give unwanted children that race because they never know whose kid it is. That's also the main reason Astel never looked for his mom. Biological anyways. "Nephilim from what people tell me. So I guess I a half angel, half what ever the hell. So yeah, names Astel Uvin," he offers his hand to the blonde-haired fairy. She looks at him and takes his hand only to hold it palm up so she can see it. After a few seconds she releases him and asks, "You haven't been in Zaun for long. The is no grime or blood on your hands. And the calluses show you hold something like a handle and you carry no sword, you must use unconventional weapons. Are you a Mercenary?"

"He is looking to join the league," the teen chimes in breaking the awkward feeling Astel was getting from the beautiful woman holding his hand and staring into his eyes, "you know, I never asked how you managed to get to the lower catwalks with no weapon." Astel grins and reaches into the duster and pulls out the Colt Super War Hawk and says, "this little number is what I use for combat." Ekko looks at it and asks, "What kind of gun is that? There isn't anything like that on the blackmarket." Janna looks disapprovingly at Ekko and he steps back arms raised in surrender, "Janna it was only for info on the new players in town. But back to you Astel, why do you wanna join the league?"

"Fun, money, and most importantly fun." "You said fun twice." Ekko replies, "You aren't  the only person there for fun but not the best thing to be there for. Can't be Demacia, I feel magic on you. Can't be Noxian, cause you aren't a bloodthirsty maniac. Probably not Ionian, too selfish. And Piltover would be my guess but those people don't come down to Zaun." Janna reasons. She's right on all accounts. Astel just got to this world earlier. "Just your friendly neighborhood mercenary. Came from a small place not to far from Piltover. Janna looks at him with a look that says 'you're lying' but says nothing. 

He, Ekko, and Janna board the elevator to Piltover, heading towards the surface. Janna tells Astel, "When you get to the league make sure to be ready for the examination. You
Have to beat a champion to be allowed entry into the summoners games. And it may be a battle, or it may be a skill test. Be ready, and if you have questions ask your fellow champions when you get in, or the summoners. I must return to Zaun to help the people." 

She departs back to the undercity while Ekko turns and says, "Damn dude. That is the most I have ever heard out of Janna. She normally only speaks a few sentences when we talk, but she was explaining the whole deal to you like she wasn't some aloof goddess." Astel looks curiously at the retreating back of the elvish beauty, "what is she a goddess of?" Ekko snorts, "she hates that nickname but she helps all the Zaunites whenever something bad happens so people call her a goddess. But be careful, her wind magic can really mess you up. But you see that platform to the right of the elevator entrance go there and ask to be sent for an exam for the league. Have this letter signed by me to get you through the whole process fast." Astel takes the letter and smiles, " thanks for everything Ekko."

Asami and Jared went into the room Emily was recuperating in, only to see her getting dressed. The two exchanged surprised looks while she glared at them.

"Two seconds sooner and I'd still be naked," she said to them. "You two mind knocking next time?"

"We weren't expecting you to be awake," Asami answered. "But to be honest, I don't mind seeing you topless. Yummy yum yum."

"Sis, should you be up?" Jared asked ignoring the 'perverted geezer' that was next to him. "You were hit pretty badly."

"I'm alright now," Emily smiled at Jared and patted his head. "You head home and look after mom, I promise I'll be ok."

"But sis-"

"Hey. Remember when those debtors came along?" Emily asked him, while Asami pretended not to hear but was listening in carefully. "This is nothing compared to that. So go home. Study, eat, and practice to get Espers abilities."

"I - alright," Jared said.

"That's good," Emily said before hugging Jared tightly.

"Sis?"

"You know I love you very much, little bro," Emily said. Jared felt there was something different about Emily but with how young he was, he couldn't understand what it was. "We'll head out together and split up at the Bullet."

"Where are we going?" Asami asked.

"I'll tell you when we get there," Emily answered.

"Children, didn't you just arrive? Stay, have some lunch," as they reached the mansion's entrance, Silvia appeared. "And Ms. Caldwell, what are you doing up and about? Go back and rest some more."

"I'm fine, Ms. Graves," Emily replied stiffly, a hint of nervousness echoing in her voice. "I'm already healed."

"Nonsense," Silvia retorted. "It would take at least half a day for those internal wounds to heal. Unless …"

Silvia looked at Emily inquisitively and the latter nodded before raising an arm. A green glow surrounded it surprising all three who witnessed it.

"You've reached level 1?" Emily nodded at Silvia's question and she nodded back in curt admiration. "Impressive. I must say, I did not expect you to increase your ability so quickly. Congratulations.
"However, I can't permit you to leave so soon. You at least need a checkup to confirm your health, not to mention that you would be safer here."

"Ms. Graves no offence, but I'm an adult," Emily said in a slightly higher-pitched tone. "You can't keep me here against my will."

"Very well," Silvia said after the two had a silent confrontation where they stared at each other for a while. "You may leave, but only after you have taken Jason's, and my own, contact information. And if anything happens, call either of us immediately. Understand?"

"Yes, ma'am," all three answered simultaneously.

Twenty minutes later, Emily shooed Jared away while Asami checked her phone. The two left the bullet and took a Bus to the Sumps. The Bus was designed like a double-decker that covered the entire street; it was the size of three roads making it three times the size of an average bus. The first floor was hollow, allowing cars to pass through it while the sides were connected to maglev tracks on the side of the road. The two exited through the hover-lift at the side of the bus and walked through the Sumps, their destination getting closer to the Slums.

"Alright, can you tell me where we're going now?" Asami asked. "We're getting too close to the Slums and we're both pretty girls, y'know. Oh wow, this totally looks like a date, right?"

"We're looking for Accelerant," Emily said quietly. Asami stopped joking and looked at her in pure shock before grabbing her hand and turning Emily to face her.

Accelerant was a new drug that was almost nonexistent in the streets. It was so rare that AEM merely suspected the drug to be a rumour and the fact that no one had been hospitalized from overdose supported their claims.

However, Emily accidentally eavesdropped on Melanie when she passed by an empty corridor. Melanie who was talking to Olivia, let it slip that Accelerant was real and available in the market, surprising her. Later, after some research of her own, Emily discovered that what Melanie had revealed was true and that several lower-level Espers have already secretly taken the drug. Emily had been struggling for a while on whether she should follow their lead and take it as well but the recent event forced her to accept the situation.  

"You can't be serious right?" Asami asked Emily who refused to look at her. Asami's father, who seemed to know many things due to his position, had warned her of this drug, telling her not to be tempted into using it despite the fact that it might increase her strength. "Emily this … this isn't right. You know that's a drug."

"I know," Emily whispered.

"And it's only rumoured to increase your level," Asami continued.
"I know," Emily's voice slightly rose.

"And it probably has side-effects that we don't know of!" Asami protested.

"I know!" Emily shouted. "Goddammit, I know all that! But I need to get stronger, Asami!"

Asami was taken aback by Emily's shout and looked at her. She narrowed her eyes as watched Emily carefully.

"This is about Jason isn't it?" Asami asked, her voice unintentionally accusing her. "No, it's not only about him but Alina too. You want to be stronger because of them don't you?"

"This is about me, not them," Emily had her head lowered which prevented Asami from seeing her face as she answered.

"You know what it's like, don't you? You're a level one and no matter how much you pretend, I know you feel it. The contempt, the ridicule, the- the scorn others feel about you," Emily said in an anguished voice. "And you at least have your parents. You're an ambassador's daughter, at least you have that!"

Asami didn't say anything and looked away. Of course, she knew what Emily was talking about. Sanctuary was perfect for Espers, but there was a disparagement amongst the Espers based on their levels. Higher levels were given more preferential treatment as opposed to lower levels.

And since society gravitated to the strong, weaker level Espers were neglected, resulting in bullying or false accusations aimed at them and hardly any effort was put into dealing with this, regardless of how much anyone, especially Melanie, tried. Due to her parents, Asami did not suffer any mistreatments but she had seen the disdain many had for her in their eyes, and she imagined how much worse it was for Emily, someone who was not part of the one-percenters.

"You know, Jared isn't really my brother? I live in a foster home," Emily explained bitterly. "I was abandoned by my parents because my potential as an Esper was low, so low that it'd damage their reputation. My friends joined the girls in bullying me when I started attracting all the boys back in elementary. My boyfriend dumped me right after fucking me, telling the class I was a slut even after ... I have nothing, Asami, nothing but this face which has given me nothing but trouble my entire life!"

Tears ran down Emily's face as Asami comforted her by patting her back while hugging her. Emily took a deep breath to calm herself and wiped her tears away.

"I started to cover my face with makeup and my bangs. I tried to attract less attention but it never helped, it just made me a bigger target. A … a more vulnerable target," Emily shook her head as she spoke. "So one day I just gave up. 'Fuck it' I thought. If they're gonna treat me like a slut then I may as well be one. At least that way I won't be ... forced.

"But then I met you, Michelle, Alina … Jason. I met Jason," Emily wiped the new tears forming in her eyes before closing them. "He ... all of you encouraged me to be myself. But to do that I need to be stronger. I want to get stronger."

Emily finally raised her head to stare at Asami, her emerald eyes sparkled with determination and stubbornness.

"I can't rely on others forever," Emily said. "And I don't want to rely on my face or my body anymore. So, no, Asami. I'm not doing this for them ... for him. I'm doing it for myself."

"Alright," Asami finally said. "I'll help you. And I'll keep it a secret but if anything happens, I'm telling Jason. Ok?"

"Thanks," Emily said. "I knew you'd understand."

"So, where to now?" Asami asked.

"There's a gang here that might sell Accelerant and don't worry, we'll be safe," Emily replied. "This gang is called The Orphaned and they seem to look after Second Academy students, I don't know why but I think it has to do with Jason."

"Huh, that makes sense," Asami said. "Remember how Jason said he told the gangs to lay off us students to Q-tip? Wait, is that why you're wearing a school uniform?"

Emily nodded before checking the map on her phone. When she was able to move after awakening, she asked the maid waiting outside her room to give her a school uniform since she didn't have any other clothes other than the gown she woke up in.

"Come on, we're almost there," Emily said as she urged Asami to hurry, her face full of confidence as she walked faster. "They hang out in a bar near here."

The two walked for several minutes before finally stopping at a large bar that was sandwiched between two short buildings. The holo-sign for the bar was inactive and the neon signboard was also practically dead with only a few lights flashing. The paint had turned a dingy gray while lines of rust painted the area around the metal pieces. Looking up, the two saw the name of the bar written in red paint on a wall next to the door: Clumsy Punk's bar.

Emily entered the bar and Asami followed her nervously. The inside of the bar was as bad as the outside, the dimly lit room barely illuminated the walls and the stench of skunky marijuana and cheap, undistilled alcohol. Dark, electronic cyberpunk music filled with bass played in the background as groups of rowdy people lounged together, playing cards, throwing darts, and mingling together while making out in the dark. A big man, no doubt a bouncer, was sitting near the entrance and he stood up when he saw them. He was about to stop them when he saw Emily's school uniform and swallowed his saliva while sitting back down, pretending not to see them.

Emily ignored him and walked further in and Asami waved her hand while laughing; she was trying her best to act normal and friendly as the people near them started to pay attention to them. A few wanted to walk up to the newcomers with bad intentions but several others stopped them.

A man sitting on a barstool downed a mug of ale before turning and looking at them. His blonde hair and chocolate skin gave him an exotic look while his features and lean figure screamed pretty boy. His age couldn't have been more than twenty-eight but his life-weary eyes proved he had seen much in life.

"You girls lost?" 'Papa John' asked while looking them over with a critical eye. "The karaoke club's on the other side of the road."

(Explanation of Chapter 16:

There may be parallels between Emily and Michelle's reason for getting stronger but it is not exactly the same. Michelle wants to get stronger to protect others whereas Emily is looking to find herself by getting stronger.  The reason why they sound similar is that the person they're conversing with assumes their doing this for someone else, specifically Jason.

Previously, Michelle has hinted at preferring an American accent instead. This is because of her mother who is American. (Chapter 11)

Elizabeth is having a conflict inside of herself. She loves Jason but feels that he doesn't love her back. He's the perfect lover, but he doesn't open up. So, he knows everything about the woman he's dating but they don't and that works, the whole mysterious thing, it works in the beginning but not when you want a serious relationship. And that's a major problem for his love life: how girls he dates like him but feel like they don't know him so they break it off (that or they get terrified by his true nature). Elizabeth here feels like just being friends with benefits is better for both of them.)

For as long as Jason can remember, he has been a killer. Raised as a child soldier, he was trained in the arts of murder as a mercenary, an assassin, and a bodyguard. In short, his life was anything but dull. Yet his greatest wish was to live a normal life, date a normal girl, have a moment to breathe and relax. His wish was to be a normal boy, no, a real boy and not some weapon. But his thirst for strength led him to the path of both the scientifically psychic world and the mystically supernatural world.

  One day, he is entrusted to protect a young girl whose entire family was murdered. Two years after taking her as his sister, Jason tries to lead a life that's as normal as possible in the most technologically advanced city in the world, Sanctuary. However his newfound freedom is threatened when his past comes to haunt him, and his hunger to join the extraordinary life once more begins to consume him. As enemies from both the worlds of supernatural and science come crashing down upon him, Jason must make a choice, and choose which life he'd rather have. An uneventful, normal life. Or the life of the impossible, where dog eats dog, and only the strongest survive.

In the good old days, Arsene Clemente didn't hunt demons for a living. He had a proper nine-to-five gig right in the heart of Ortigas, and friends that can be considered relatively normal. He also used to be very poor, something that was true not only on a financial standpoint but on an equally sad emotional scale. Connections just weren't his thing. His aversion to commitment showed in his anemic following and the trail of jobs he'd slaughtered over the years.

But it all changed one fateful night, when he was approached by this woman from cyberpunk Westeros. As Arsene left the office, she stepped out of a limo parked next to his beat-up moped, juxtaposing not only its aesthetics, but the technological gap of three decades at bare minimum. The strawberry-blonde was a petite five-flatter, a detriment she nullified with disarming looks, air of prominence, and crowning posture of royalty. She also wore a dress that's worth twice of everything Arsene owned, and lugged around requisite beefcake bodyguards, who probably wrestled Tamaraws to entertain her.     

"Mr. Clemente, do you have a minute?" the woman said in an almost local accent. Think Gal Gadot if Wonder Woman took nineteen years to make—in a purely Southeast Asian setting.

Arsene looked at the two suited brutes that now flanked him. "Do I have a choice?" he asked with shaky bravado. He tried desperately not to piss his pants, especially when the chauffer, who looked like he shat infinity stones, came out to join them.  

"I promise that we mean you no harm—quite the contrary actually. Coffee?" She pointed to a café across the street. The place was teeming with customers—of living, breathing, insurance policies. The gesture at least hinted, "We are not the mafia, we're really just here to talk." Stranger danger was still in full effect though.  

So Arsene concurred. It sure beat the alternative of getting manhandled into a seemingly bulletproof, heavily tinted vehicle. The woman then ordered her security detail to stay put, while the two of them sauntered off to the slightly safer company of caffeine enthusiasts and burned out call center agents. 

The woman introduced herself as Clarinae Monikha Fray over cups of the promised coffee. She confided having hailed from Israel, and that she was chosen for the engagement because of her parentage. Her mother was full-blooded Filipina, meaning she spent a great portion of her life in the orient. Under bettered lighting, Arsene not only affirmed this through her mixed features, he also found out that she was definitely-maybe his type. Picture almond-shaped, starry eyes cropped out of the smoothest, milk tea complexion. Then add a mildly contoured nose that ended up in a pair of  bubblegum lips. Now imagine the majority of local girls trying too hard to rub their morena features off, while the rest charred theirs with some harsh toner brand called pollution. Finally, try not to drool on your cappuccino like Arsene did with his. 

"Have you ever wondered why you don't have a middle name?" Clarinae segued. 

Arsene broke his reverie no less than three seconds later. "Come again?" he asked her back. 

"Do you know what your middle name is?" She rephrased. 

Arsene found himself reopening an age-old case file. The mystery of his non-existent title has been unfulfilled since forever. It proved even more problematic when he got into studying, where the faculty grew a habit of pestering him for it every year. Both his parents always found clever ways to distract whenever he brought it up, leading him to this painstaking ultimatum. He was taught never to keep a girl waiting, yet all he managed to do about it was grimace at the notion of his upbringing. 

"It's okay," Clarinae assured him after a while. "It was your mother's choice to strip down the name—she wanted nothing to do with the family legacy."

"It must be quite the legacy," Arsene mused. "My mother is very emotional woman—it must have been difficult to cut ties like that." In hindsight, he didn't know anyone from his mother's side of the family, save for a trio of uncles who visited without fail during the Yuletide season. He didn't even know if his grandparents were still alive.

"Well, do you want to know?"

"It's Solomon," revealed Clarinae with such gusto, her noble bearing dislodged for a few moments. She waited for a matching reaction that never came, leading her to a sigh that would break the hearts of men. 

"I'm sorry but I don't get it," Arsene told her. "It's not your fault or anything… I'm just not good with names. Is that name supposed to mean something, by the way?"    
  
The glee in her eyes flared back almost instantly. "Seeing as how you're this clueless, it's going to take an overly long explanation. But long story short, the Solomon clan is one of the richest, most ancient lines in Israel, and before its patriarch died three months ago, he left the bulk of his estate to the most legitimate of his heirs." Clarinae dug her bag as she spoke, producing a manuscript the size of a J.K. Rowling afterthought. She placed it over the table, where it thudded loudly from weight alone. 

Arsene maybe slow, but he was far from stupid. He had a good guess on what followed, but just had to confirm it, lest he embarrassed himself further. "That heir being me?" he mouthed as he examined the paperwork. There was this cryptic insignia cresting its front page. He didn't quite make sense of it, though he recognized the Star of David that made up most of the design. Then came the rest, peppered around it like toppings to uncooked dough: glyphs and odd letterings, altogether imagery evoking vague yet well-known suggestions about the Freemasons, Templars, and even the notorious Illuminati. "Is that the will for the inheritance?" he added.

"Quite," Clarinae indulged him. "It's also a contract, however…"

Mention of a contract caused Arsene to pipe down a bit. Contracts meant fine print inclusions and reading between lines, something a sane person wouldn't want mixed up with Masonic symbolisms. It seemed only right to raise another question. "Why would an inheritance require a contract?"

"Because a thirty-three billion dollar estate is all kinds of complicated, Mr. Clemente," She smiled victoriously. "We have to run some screening trials to ensure that you're the stipulated heir, trials that require your express permission—among other things." 

The staggering amount in question cost Arsene the rest of his coffee, which he spilled even though he wasn't currently sipping on it. Apparently, he trembled enough to simulate the equivalent of a 4.2 magnitude earthquake native to their table. If Clarinae hadn't already finished hers, they'd be looking at a resulting tsunami of caramel espresso, and more attention a nouveau riche hopeful would ever want. In the following moments, he reclaimed some composure to at least fan him through. He palmed the contract/will and cleared his throat, trying to ignore the sound of billionaire-playboy-protagonist still ringing in his ear. "This is one thicc paperwork… We both know that I can't leaf through it in one sitting, and not especially in a public place like this. But all I really care about is if I'm going to have to sell my soul for this gig. So am I?"

Clarinae scoffed and looked like she fought the urge to roll her eyes. She was almost tempted to call him out for the cliché, but was ultimately sincere when she said, "No, of course not." 

"Do I have to sacrifice someone? Or kill pets, animals—living things? Harvest organs?" Arsene kept at it.

"None of the above."

"Worship something? Join or lead a cult?"

"No and no."

Then Arsene v-turned to the opposite direction, hoping he was fast and furious enough to derail her. "What happens if I fail the trial?"

"Then you go home twenty million dollars richer," she said as if talking about some loose change. "At the end of the day, you are still a Solomon, eligible to a portion of the family's wealth."

"Do I at least get your number?" Arsene was surprised at his own audacity. He figured it better to do the hitting now, when he was still the questionable billionaire. 

In response, Clarinae asked for his phone and smiled as she keyed in her personal line. "Are we good, Mr. Clemente?"

Twenty million is not a bad deal. Some would even argue it a decent asking price for the soul already, which this transaction didn't even broker. That kind of money would set someone like Arsene for life, throwing in some not-so-lofty prospects he had in store. After examining Clarinae's eyes a bit more (and relishing the allowance to note of their beauty), he took the pen attached to the document, flipped past both its old and new testaments, and readied his signature on a blank line footnoting Revelations. "Good enough for me." He smiled right back.

He was done writing his name in caps when Clarinae interrupted him. "There's no haste Mr. Clemente," she said, holding his hand with a mild but firm grip. "We'll return for the contract after three days and three nights. Whether or not you have signed it then, we'll either part ways or personally walk you through the proceedings. Take your time—we insist." 

Maybe she thought it a further display of good faith. Maybe she was simply being professional. But for Arsene, signing up to make Donald Trump your bitch was something you don't sit around thinking over for. Regardless, he took Clarinae's advice and packed the will inside his duffle, making sure none of his other effects threatened its integrity. And this time, he accepted the offered ride to a homeward destination.

As the light died down, those protected by Bogula's power finally reopened their eyes.
"My my… home, at last," Shadow spoke beside Angor and put a hand on the boy's shoulder. "This is the central teleport station. What a mouthful, right? We should call it the bird nest cause, you see, it really looks like one!"
Angor didn't reply since he couldn't see the general design of the building yet. He only inspected his surroundings out of curiosity.
The place was pretty large as far as he could see, about half the size of Tree Spirit Plaza. The farthest wall was about 500 meters away. Countless blue barriers scattered about the great hall and a screen above his head displayed all kinds of information, which was mostly relevant to the activation of portals. They showed clues such as newly activated portals and orders for waiters to accept the visitors.
There was also information about portals that would be opened a moment later. Those who wished to travel through them had to get registered at the service counter.
It was only a tiny part of the city, and yet, Angor already sensed the magnificence of the entire place.
He never saw such organized digitalization anywhere before. Superior machine-alchemy technologies allowed the city to operate in such a unique style.
Angor felt something just clicked in his mind. He really wanted to see what else the great city had to offer.
"Peasant."
Someone suddenly spoke behind his back—it was a voice showing mild smugness.
Angor looked back and noticed the speaker never looked at him. The man kept checking around a small card in his hand—the ID card which allowed him to enter the purification garden.
It was a young man with a bizarre dressing style. Black hair, black eyes, dark eye circles, and black attires… Everything on him looked black except his exposed pale skin. There were a series of distinctive black bandages and decorative nails on his clothes too, which looked quite… unusual.
"Oh, I didn't mean to offend anyone in particular," he looked up at Angor in a cocky manner as he said, "but it can't be helped if SOMEONE wants to accept the remark on his own."
The meaning of those words was clear. Angor simply looked away. He wasn't going to waste time on these random haters.
The man revealed a meaningful look at Angor's response. He glanced at Bogula next and remained silent.
Shadow crept up closer to Angor and cocked his head toward the young man with obvious intentions—want me to deal with him?
Angor shook his head and said "not now" using eye language.
He was wondering who the man in black was. This one was already waiting at the portal before they left Silent Hill. Bogula never said anything about this extra passenger when activating the portal. Judging from how Bogula also used his protection on the young man, Angor believed Bogula should know about this stranger.
Also, Shadow rolled his eyes when meeting with the young man, so there had to be something between them as well.
Still, Angor wasn't expecting the strange figure to provoke him first before he could learn who he was.
There were six individuals, or rather, five men and a cat, standing at the portal; Angor was the only one who only came to Floating Mech City for the first time. Still, Angor couldn't understand where that aggressiveness came from.
While he considered, the blue barrier in front of them slowly disappeared.
"It's for preventing accidents and space disturbance," Shadow explained to Angor.
As the barrier was lifted, Angor saw a woman standing outside. He immediately realized that she was the "portal handler", as shown by the screens.
"Welcome back, Mister Bogula. Handler Siria at your service." The woman stepped up with a smile.
"Get out of my way." Bogula frowned.
Siria didn't seem bothered by it at all. She stepped aside with the same smile on her face.
Bogula led everyone outside the hall.
"These are all apprentices," Shadow spoke to Angor along their way. "They took quests to work as portal handlers and provide guidance to wizards who are new. It's a pretty rewarding job too. Sometimes you run into generous wizards who actually reward you for your help.
"Speaking of it, I used to take this job before too. There was a really nice wizard…" Shadow kept mumbling until he noticed that Angor wasn't paying attention. "What's wrong?" he asked when he saw Angor frowning at something.
"… That portal handler, Siria. Am I mistaken or is she staring at me?"
"Huh? Oh, come on. I'm the cooler guy here. She must be blind."
Obviously, Shadow read the situation in the wrong way by believing that Siria was interested in Angor's young and handsome looks. Angor, however, sensed something else. It was as if Siria were interested in other matters. The woman kept inspecting him from head to toe with a weird look.
Does she know me?
Angor quickly denied that assumption. He did make himself known in some places, but not so far as to spread his name to Floating Mech City yet.
Soon, they left the teleport station.
The transmitter in Siria's hand lit up again.
[Mission accomplished.]

Before coming to Floating Mech City for real, Angor tried many times to imagine how the city would look like. He mostly based his imaginations on the cities he saw from the movies since both civilizations had trains, railways, and steam-powered machines.
And what he saw now completely busted his previous deduction.
There were still concrete and steel involved in the construction, but compared to the cities on Earth, Floating Mech City appeared more like a "better" Midnight Sovereign.
There were countless narrow streets and paths, and all the buildings tried to fetch more space by climbing high into the air. There were also iron bridges connecting the upper levels of the buildings.
Compared to the harmonious city planning he saw from movies, this giant city was beautiful in a different sense. By mish-mashing all kinds of styles together, it created a cyberpunk atmosphere. Even the damages and scars on the metal buildings seemed to hold their own stories.
Also, he quickly understood why the city was called the very center of all money flows.
Countless shop signs occupied every available corner. The sight reminded him of a movie that described an old street in Hong Kong.
Compared to the randomly arranged shops in the movie, all the signboards here carried special auras on them as well as the traces of runes.
There was such a giant sign which introduced several potion shops above his head. It seemed a number of different shops decided to add different colors on the sign to identify their names.
There weren't many potion shops in the entire Twilight Well, but here in Floating Mech City, Angor already saw four of them on a single sign.
"Tell me if you want to buy something," a voice mixed with strange laughter suddenly reached his ears. "Anything, as long as you agree to become my puppet."
Angor quickly got rid of his dumbstruck expression when he realized Bogula just spoke to him. It was the first thing Bogula said to him after the incident with Isabella, and the man was already getting straight to the point.
"I don't need anything," said Angor with a blank expression.
Bogula cast a passionate look at Angor. His serpentine tongue almost reached Angor's ears. "Then I'll be waiting for you to ask. Jajaja…"
The man leaped into the air. "Diablo, bring everyone back to my base. EVERYONE."
With that, his body vanished.
"Don't worry. I'll get you away," Shadow comforted Angor.
Someone chuckled behind him. It was the man in black again.
"Diablo… Did you perhaps, just become a lot more considerate to people?" he said in a dragging and uncertain voice, which sounded extremely unpleasant.
"Are you perhaps expecting a beat-up, huh? Falca?"
Shadow approached the strange character while lifting his sleeves as if they were two street thugs who were about to brawl.
Falca took a step back. A number of bats emerged from behind his back and hovered in the air. "I happen to want to figure out whether you live up to your title." 
Falca was one level weaker than Shadow, but he didn't show fear in the least.
Before Shadow could display his own tricks, Falca already ordered his bats to lunge at Shadow.
Shadow remained motionless with a smile. 
When Falca wondered what his opponent was up to, he suddenly heard a strange, mechanical voice speaking beside his ear, "*Beep* *Beep* Combat-level energy detected."
An eyeball locked up inside a metal case floated above Falca's head. "Nature of energy: a summoning array. Please halt your action at once, sir, or you'll be placed on our expellee list."
Falca pointed a finger at Shadow in shock. "But he was the one—"
Shadow was doing nothing more than tidying up his clothes. "Come on, I'm just trying to look better. I'm not fighting anyone. Hey, Rune Monitor, remember his face and make sure you kick his a*s the next time he does something stupid."
Falca's eyebrows stood on end due to his rage. He realized that Shadow already noticed a Rune Monitor was present; that was why the man pretended he wanted to fight. 
Now that the Rune Monitor already recorded Falca's act, more of them would keep their "eyes" on his actions from now on.
"You—" Falca pointed between Shadow and Angor with a trembling finger. "I'll deal with you both later!"
You both? What the f*ck?
Angor wasn't sure what just happened.
Shadow waited until the Rune Monitor floated away before he placed a hand on Angor's shoulder. "Well, I didn't mean to do it since you said no, but he was bugging ME back there so… guess I had to teach him a lesson."

'I can't believe I just spent an entire night fantasizing about making a utopia with Callum.' She thought, exhaustedly going about her morning routine. 'I doubt we'd even be able to create a dystopia.'
She went to work, exhausted and slightly crabby.
She couldn't even bring Nimbus, which made her crabbier.

After a horrible day working, Sarah returned to a very happy Nimbus.

"Did you miss me?" She asked Nimbus, who was purring like a jet engine.

Nimbus didn't respond, thankfully. She'd probably doubt her sanity if he did.

After tending to the attention-deprived cat, she called Callum.

"Yeah?" Callum never picked up the phone and said 'hello'. He'd only say 'hello' if he was royally pissed, and she had (thankfully) never irritated him to that point.

"Can you come over to my house?" Sarah asked, before immediately understanding what that implicated.

"Nah." Callum refuses her. "I just had somone try to snipe me. Maybe another time."

He hung up.

'Well...Is it schizophrenia?' She wondered.

She seriously doubted it. He had seemed of sound mind when they had last talked and she didn't think that a day was enough for someone to develop schizophrenia.

So, like anyone of sound mind, she visited his house to see if he was alright.

He answered the door, saw her and quickly ushered her inside.

"So today, I got this." He showed her a double-ended cyberpunk scythe. "And someone was trying to snipe me."

"...Is the double-ended scythe your proof that it was real?" Sarah asked skeptically. 

"You're questioning the fact that someone was trying to assassinate me, but not how your powers work?" Callum asked her.

She had no response to that.

"The person who gave me the scythe said I should enchant it." Callum mused, pulling out a soul. "I wonder if I can use a soul to enchant it."

Callum was startled by the sudden connection between the soul and scythe. The connection was the exact same colour as the orb and arked like lightning into the scythe, while the orb in his hands slowly shrank into nothingness.

Callum swung the scythe expirimentally, noticing no change to it. 

"Do you need more than one?" Sarah asked him.

"Maybe." Callum said, moving to put the scythe down before noticing that it had disappeared from his hands. "Huh. It's gone."

Callum stared at his hands, wondering where he had placed the scythe.

Callum was then shocked once more, seeing it appear once more in his hands.

"That's convinient." Sarah said, moving to take the scythe from his hands and inspect it.

"I guess it's bound to me." Callum said, watching Sarah's hands phase through the scythe like it wasn't there.

"Try cutting something now." Sarah said, trying to figure out the extent at which it was intangible. "Perhaps only what you want to interact with will be able to interact with it."

So, being the logical next step, Callum cut lettuce for a salad, using his scythe.

Sarah was a normal girl. She enjoyed gossiping with her friends, having coffee together, etc. Until she learned she was a walking disaster, that is. Note: This has literally no schedule.

It was a cold day in the moody atmosphere of Quarantined Sector, which most people called… Home.
I.A just went back after buying a Package Quota Internet for his phone, the price was so massive it took a quarter of his lifespan to purchase it, all in order to upload this useless chapter.
He fought through the harsh environment, equipped in full heavy armor called "Triple-Layered Jacket", and passed through the crowd unscathed.
Removing his shoes, I.A shivers as the wind flows by.
"Guh, it's cold enough with the rain already." He said.
As he unlocks the door, the sound of EDM music started to play, it was so loud that it might even deafen his ears.
He sighed.
After putting down his shoes, he removed all those layers of jacket and his mask. Revealing behind it, is not so handsome, not so buff, and a not so young man in his twenties. 
Fair to say that he is even less than average.
The inside of his house has also the same vibe as him.
He put down the jackets on a chair and throw his mask to the trashcan.
Moving on, he walked into the kitchen and make himself a coffee, it took a few minutes for the water to boil. He sighed once again, "I wish I have a coffee maker; I hope I can buy it someday…" he said. 
Alas, that will never happen with the current state of his finance.
Pouring the water to a cup, he's done making the Coffee. He took it to the living room and then pulled a chair near the window, as he took out his phone, he received many emails and messages about the pandemic that is going on.
He sat down and read them.

I.A frown, the first and the last message hit him hard… it is due because of the terrifying word… [Work], he… does not have one.
He sighed once again. As he took a sip of the hot coffee, he looked outside the window. The moody storm felt like it's crying.
"Not that it has anything to do with me, I'm sure they wouldn't even care. I'm already fading from the world anyway, I'm sure they don't know or even remember that I existed, but still, I hope everyone can take care of themselves in this dying time."
Blowing another air through the coffee, he took another sip. "I wonder how long it'll last," wiggling his coffee left and right, he said, "I hope Cyberpunk 2077 production is okay…"
Sighing once again, "Not that I will be able to play it, but still, I'm sure a lot of people out there will. At least, I can watch a playthrough of it… maybe Pewds will play it, no, I'm sure he will."
"…"
"Yeah, I can just watch it… like I always do… and maybe… always will."

The sound of a Door just slammed open.

He gave up, "Is it really that important?" I.A asked.

K kept scrolling on her phone, her eyes going up and down rapidly.
"What is it?" I.A asked once again.
As her eyes widened, K flipped her phone and show it to I.A, revealing a notice from [Webnovel].
"See! Your book is going to be one of the Promising Originals!" she said it cheerfully, "Just imagine it, you're going to be super..."
K kept talking non-stop, hyping about how the future is going to become. It brought warmth to I.A as he sees her in high-spirit like this, it has been a while since she does.
However, I.A, on the other hand, is conflicted by all this, he doesn't know how to react to her [News]. In truth, I.A was thinking about quitting, put all of his passion behind and move on to look for a job outside, even with all the pandemic going on.
He clenched his fist and mustered up the courage to speak, "I… might not be able to do this anymore, K" he said.
His word stopped K firing her submachine gun, "Huh, what are you on about?"
He sighed, "I just… I don't think I will be able to keep doing this."
His habit of sighing never drop down, it is quite concerning.
"What are you talking about, your book has finally got a recognition, hell it's the first time you got one. Come on, don't let it slip through you when you work so hard in it already!"
I.A shook his head, "I didn't work that hard, I only put this and that together, it's not even that good anyway, and I even tried to patch it just to cover up my amateur status."
"Well, but it did work out in the end, right? You fixed it, there are some left but at least you did what you think was right, and that is a good thing."
Shaking his head once again, "Those clichés word are so lame, K"
"…"
She sighed, "I know, but it serves its purpose at this moment. Come on, can't you just do it? At least do it for me?"
"…"
She continues, "We always do this together, remember? Together, we can do this. And then you and I will finally get out of this slump!"
"…"
K sighed, "Come on, tell me…" grabbing another chair and put it close to his, she sat down wrapping her tits around I.A's arm, "What troubles you like this?"
One would simply be flushing in red in this situation, and then magically everything will be fine.
But not for him.
As he frowned, another throb of pain tightened in his chest, he called out her name, "K…"
"…"
"... You are not real"

Her eyes widened, "What are you talking about now…" she said.
I.A repeat his word, "You are not real, K. You... you do not exist."
"What do you mean, I am!" she yelled.
"No, you're not!" I.A insisted.
Her expression turns sour, troubled by his unsettling words, K leaned her head to his shoulder.
"I am… exist, J."
Tears shed from his eyes, "… Where exactly?"
She put her hand on his chest and then flow it across the surrounding, "… Here"
"…" his expression hardened.
"At least, let me be here."
"… K, this is not—"
"I know, J. I know."
"…"
K wrap her hand around I.A's body, "I don't want you to forget me, we have been together for so long… there is no reason for you to stop now."
"But…"
K covered his mouth with her hand, "Don't you love me?"
As tears drop his cheek, I.A said, "I do, but…"
"Don't start that again. J, I am real… inside you, here in this world, I… exist."
Moving closer to him, K gives I.A a hug, it was a hug full of emotion. There is no sense of dirt in it, their bond is pure. It brings joy to his heart for her to comfort him like this, even though he knew she isn't real… except from his own family, K has brought more joy to him than any people he has ever met combined.
As the warmth surging through his body…
I.A smiled.

K bend her back away, as she patted his head, stroking his hair, she smiles. "So, we keep going?" she asked.
I.A was in dazed at her bright colorful smiles, he himself then smiled once again, "Of course" he said.
They rose up from their seat, K took his coffee and drank it herself. But, I.A pays it no mind. They went inside the room where all the "work" piling up.
K sat down in front of a dusty old computer, continuing to play her favorite game, Skyrim.
As he walked into the room, I.A took "Reliving the Past" novel from the trashcan and put it on the side of his desk.
As he opened the first page…
He smiled once again.
