Everyone braced for a powerful counterattack the moment the door opened. Even if resistance was pretty much non-existent along the way to the Cortex Prime, it was a known thing as the damage to the Cortex Prime had caused all defensive systems to go offline. However, behind the door was the central mainframe, and the central mainframe could not go offline. The reason was simple: because the fortress still emitted order after order, it meant that the Cortex Prime was still functioning.
A functioning mainframe would not allow any uninvited guests near it.
Yet, as the door opened, the anticipated attack did not come. There were also no sirens ringing throughout the fortress. In fact, Hao Ren heard nothing aside from the ambient humming within the fortress.
Even so, Vivian still whispered a warning, "Stay alert. We're already in the heart of the fortress. Anything can happen here."
Hao Ren raised his shield as he along with Lily shuffled left and right into the circular hall of the Cortex Prime, all the while scouting their surroundings vigilantly.
The massive hall was very wide, but the football-stadium-sized hall had nary any cables or machinery. Plus, it was vastly different from the machine rooms and equipment rooms from before. The hall only had thirteen black machines by the wall, and a massive black cylinder in the center of the hall. Hao Ren's vision was of course attracted to the rather eye-catching cylinder.
It was about ten meters tall and was sitting within an intricately designed base while the top disappeared into the tall dome above. There was a massive hole there, and the black cylinder probably held even more complex structure within. This odd pillar was about three to four meters wide, and its surface jet black, but there were many lines and nondescript grooves. Before the lines and grooves were flickering lights, giving the pillar some sort of life, and yet, Hao Ren felt some sort of dreadful atmosphere from the slow, flickering lights.
He felt that the massive consciousness behind the pillar was dying, and the slow, flickering light was proof of its impending demise.
"This is the Cortex Prime?" Lily looked in amazement at the black cylindrical pillar, and her base husky instincts almost drove her to scratch the pillar's surface with her claw, or to give it a bite for a taste. With all her self-restrain and reason she managed to hold herself back from that stupid move, and only circled the pillar from afar as she examined it. "I don't see any keyboard or mouse... How do we communicate with this thing?"
"I... don't know either." N-6 was equally shaken by the appearance of the Cortex Prime before shaking her head in despair. "Most normal executors do not even have the authorization to enter the fortress, and this is the first time I'm seeing how the Cortex Prime looks like. Whatever information we can download from the Bibliotheca is limited, and I know that the center of the Cortex Prime is a black pillar, as to how to communicate, I thought your advanced technology could do the trick?"
"Of course it could, but we hope to gather more information before making a contact." Hao Ren rubbed his chin. "But I feel that... the Cortex Prime is definitely watching us. We are already here, and if it has not noticed us yet then it'll be remiss of it right, Mr. Cortex Prime?"
"As you said." Just as Hao Ren finished, an emotionless digital synthesized voice transmitted from across the hall. "I was indeed monitoring all of you."
Lily was engrossed looking at the lights and grooves on the black pillar and was surprised by the voice. Her tail bristled as she leaped back to Hao Ren. "Whoa! The Cortex Prime spoke!"
The lifeless black pillar came to "life" as the voice rang across the hall, the lights were brighter than earlier and their flickering frequency increased. Hao Ren then heard a low hum coming from both the top and bottom of the pillar: The cortex seemed to have activated from a low-powered safe mode and the hall was even brighter than before.
"I assumed you'd 'welcome' us in a more militaristic faction." Hao Ren was the calmest of them all, and the Cortex Prime was simply just a powerful AI machine before him with him owning a system that is leagues advanced. The mainframe at CRAPPLE, or the Hivemind of the droids was nothing to him, and the same was for massive pillar before him. Shrugging, he continued, "Based on our data, you are in a state of madness."
"I have indeed... malfunctioned." the Cortex Prime sounded a little slow at first but grew smoother by the moment. "But that would not stifle my curiosity. If I'm not wrong, all of you are outsiders from the deep of space, and have crashed onto our homeworld... and that farce on the Zenith... was that your work as well? Just for you to infiltrate my fortress?"
"So you knew all along." Hao Ren was surprised. "And you just watched on quietly without any reaction?"
"I had only just completed the compilation of information." The Cortex Prime spoke, its voice devoid of any emotions. "You had managed to conceal yourself from my information network at first, and you had isolated the skies of Zenith and had hacked and altered much of the security system on the surface, which says a lot of your technological prowess. Outsiders, tell me why are you here."
Lily forked her hands on her waist as she puffed her chest. "We are here to maintain the peace and to save civil...."
Vivian immediately pulled the idiot back. "Who would believe you if you say that now... Would you believe it yourself?"
Hao Ren stepped forwarded as he ordered the MDT, without a word, to land on the floor as he looked up at the black pillar. "You probably wouldn't believe her, but what she said is the truth. We mean no harm, and the incident at Zenith was not by choice, but you have probably already received the reports. In that 'battle', my droid swarm did not..."
"Did not destroy anything." the Cortex Prime finished Hao Ren's sentence. "I used 1.4 seconds to process this illogical report. In that few hours long 'battle', your army had pretty much paralyzed all defensive systems on Zenith, but yet you had yet to use any lethal weaponry, and all damaged squadrons were safe... What is the meaning of this? I fail to understand."
Hao Ren frowned as he realized some dissonance. As the highest AI program of the survivors, this Cortex Prime's human-like quality was even lower than an executor like N-6. While the Cortex Prime had already displayed plenty of thought and deduction capability but...
Hao Ren was hard-pressed to describe this feeling, and could only use 'lack of humanity' to describe it.
And just as he started wondering about it, N-6 spoke. "Cortex Prime. Please trust these outsiders. They have indeed come to help us. They are searching for the embers of civilization across the universe and to protect them. I have seen their technical capabilities, and perhaps they could help us retake our homeworld, and fix your malfunctions..."
Before N-6 could finish, the Cortex Prime interrupted her. "Serial number E75-3C6215, Executor code N-6. You were supposed to have been destroyed in our homeworld in the previous operation. I had confirmed your signal was lost, and yet you have returned... Did this outsiders aid you?"
N-6 looked up at the Cortex Prime, her voice firm." Yes, Cortex Prime. I can also prove that my personality has not been altered."
"There is no need to prove anything." the Cortex Prime said before turning its attention to Hao Ren. "Outsider, I am not able to determine your origins or your goals, but let me be clear: We do not need the aid of outsiders, we will complete our calling. Please return home."
"But you are dying." Hao Ren interjected as the MDT floated to his side. "Your servers are going offline and the malfunction is affecting every calculation unit in this fortress. I have checked, you are using the last of your functioning units to maintain this conversation. We can help you, but I need to know why are you doing this. Your mission is to protect humans and to help them retake their homeworld. Your rejection of our aid contradicts your calling."
"You had once forbidden anyone to approach our ship, and yet you then deployed a squad to look for us. And now that we are here, you are declining to take the conversation further." Vivian too was perplexed. "I'm sensing that you are conflicted... Care to tell why?"
The Cortex Prime chose silence.
A few seconds later, Hao Ren broke the silence. "Its probably the humans right? The ones living in the Inevitable Palace, something happened to them?"
The black pillar suddenly shone brightly.
"Seems like I'm right." Hao Ren sighed. "The humans are almost extinct, aren't they?"
"You could detect the life signatures within the Inevitable Palace?" the Cortex Prime asked.
"I can't because that palace of yours seemed to prevent any detection of any life-signs. This is probably to stop the Devourer from detecting them? But my daughter can, she can see through those layers of screens. "Hao Ren patted his pocket as he called Lil Pea out and held her in his arms. "You probably wouldn't have guessed it. She is the last life form of one of the universe, as the Apotheosis of Life, she can hear voices of a soon-to-extinct race."
Lil Pea looked curiously at the pillar before giving it a friendly wave. "Hullo, I'm Lil Pea!"
"Greetings, I am the Cortex Prime."

With Glimary having shown no sign of resisting, Alfin, Azumi and the psychic fairy begin to do their job. Alfin first attach the pre drawn magic circle made out of mirage and Psychic magic stone that she manages to get beforehand to Glimary, Azumi and her own forehead. The psychic fairy then begin to supply a good amount of mana to the drawn magic by activating a magic circle of her own, so that the probability of success increases and the recoil effect will be significantly reduced. Without any time to waste, both Azumi and Alfin started their chanting

""O mirage which govern the psychic element, let us relive the past, memory dive''" [Alfin, Azumi]

With that, they once again find themselves in the mind realm of another person. It's the third time for Alfin  (as she have been doing it to Bumi and Zlatan previously) and also Azumi (as he have done it to Bumi and to Kinase)

Once inside, they find some of the barrier have already been put down by Glimary herself while other barrier were still intact

"Lady Grais must have ask Glimary to put down the barrier then" [Alfin]
"No doubt about it" [Azumi]
"This should ease our work" [Alfin]
"Still, we should do it fast, with someone of her level, who knew how long Lady Grais can hold out, plus she might become desensitised since this is her second time being expose to Lady Grais's Bangkit" [Azumi]
"Yeah, let break this barrier first shall we?" [Alfin]
"I'll take around the hippocampus, you take the cortex area" [Azumi]
"Understood" [Alfin]

And thus both of them spare no time wasted in analysing the barrier in Glimary unconscious mind. Truly, it's an enigma that such a complex barrier can be erected and the person have no obvious side effect from it, but Azumi have some doubts about it. According to Mr Fei, no matter how good a drug is, there should be a side effect to it, whether it is desirable or not. And barrier magic which tamper with the brain and memory should follow the same rule. Was her sudden lashes because of all the barrier being put? He continued to ponder around as he analyse the barrier

"Azumi, I have found some leakage here at the cortex area!" [Alfin]

Alfin sudden shout flinched Azumi for a moment, but he quickly response by going to the said area. 

"As expected of you" [Azumi]
"Well, since she herself have put down part of the barrier, it's no surprise that the barrier will be weaken here" [Alfin]
"I see now, since putting down the barrier that your superior have given is an act of contradiction, the barrier here will be weaken" [Azumi]
"Exactly!" [Alfin]
"Well, we should analyse the area here then, since the hippocampus area are pretty much undisturbed" [Azumi]
"I see, and the activities of that area?" [Alfin]
"Since Glimary are recollecting her past memory, both the brain activity and the barrier were pulsing out wave of energy, thus I think it would be risky and hard to start from those area" [Azumi]
"Understood, then let us begin encoding this magic circle first" [Alfin]
"Understood" [Azumi]

With that, they start by examining the now faulty area of the magic circle and make their way to the periphery. All the magic circle were made carefully that the connection between one magic circle to another seems flawless. The mana flow can be clearly appreciated so much so that if Guz and his friends were here, Alfin would start teaching about the the magic circle and the barrier connection. She can't even take any pictures of it, making her letting out a sigh of frustration here and there. Seeing this, Azumi can't help but to giggle as he knew what exactly been playing on her master mind

While hovering around, Azumi find out that the magic flow around the limbic system have become more and more active, meaning that Glimary are still recollecting her memory, but the area here were also weaken, most likely damage when Glimary herself put down the barrier. She told Alfin about it and the two begin to pour some neutral mana from the two weaken area, converging their mana right in the middle. And once the mana have been gather in their calculated location, Azumi destroy the barrier in one shot. An emergency barrier were then erected but Azumi have already predicted it as he and Alfin saw some of the magic circle formation suggesting of it. So he prevent those barrier from being erected by pushing it with his mana while Alfin go and see Glimary memory. The opposition between these two forces causes some instability in Glimary mind realm, causing her to grunt in the outside. The psychic fairy urge the both of them to come out fast as she couldn't hold it out any longer. With the rush of adrenaline, Alfin just scroll multiple memory at the same time and just hope for the best before the both of them escape the nearly collapse mind realm. 

Once outside, the both of them took out a deep gasping breath, similar to those of a near drowning person after being saved. While Clair attend to both of them, Usagina uses magical powder of flora nature to put Glimary back to sleep as to prevent her mind from collapsing. Fizumi, Aqua, Lady Grais and Mile can't help worry after seeing this

"How it goes?" [Azumi]
"Perfect" [Alfin]

Alfin said that with a weak smile

"Both of you should just rest now, or better we should just go home and discuss the findings at dinner" [Clair]

At Clair suggestions, they all agreed to it. Glimary were taken back to her cell while the other headed back to the Duke's castle

Kendrick jerked awake. Awaking from his dream of meeting Chi yang, and the strange events that led him to the demon-things, it was so real feeling. How did he know the parts that he wasn't there for? Kendrick looked around the room, trying to get his bearings.

It was a strange white room. Very brightly lit, and had the smell of alcohol, bleach, and ions... A hospital... Kendrick hated hospitals, as they always gave him the creeps.

He had an IV in his left arm, with a black solution with gold flakes flowing in the IV. Obviously creeped out, he followed the IV up to see that it was connected to a small tank. Suspended in this small tank of clear liquid where black inky blobs that were bouncing around like a lava lamp. If one looked close enough, they could see gold flakes in this solution, as well. One of the Black balls stilled, and one small eye opened in the black blob to look down at him, for it's drip tank.

Kendrick began to scream. Terrified at what was being injected into him, he began to tear the IVs from his flesh. Spraying the black ink like substance over the room, along with his blood, as he tried to make run for it. He didn't know where he was going, but he didn't want to stay there. As his feet hit the floor, a powerful ache in his chest hit him like he was being punched. Kendrick's first thought was that he was having a heart attack, as he clutched the left side of his chest, only to receive a searing pain in response to garbing his chest. He quickly let go, falling to his butt next to the bed.

He tore at his medical gown to finally reveal a strange arcane pattern on his chest. Five lines were seared into the flesh, with strange glyph like patterns intersecting them, he followed more lines as they led from his left pectoral to his right shoulder and down to his right hand. These lines formed some kind of pattern. A brief glance at it caused his eyes to hurt.

As Kendrick seen his chest and right arm, even more fear wailed inside. He thought he had felt fear in the presence of the demon-things, but this was a new level. This combined with his past experiences kept driving him to the edge. Quickly the room opened up as three people rushed into the room.

They picked up the screaming Kendrick, as he started to flail. Soon he felt a needle pierce his arm. A few more moments, and he didn't feel as afraid... He felt... Calmer.

"What... did you guys put into me?" Kendrick asked, as he was helped back on to the bed. He could see that there were two strange looking medical personnel, and a odd looking old man.

One of the nurses took out a veil of gold salve, and rubbed it on his cubital vein in the pit of his elbow, where he had just ripped his IVs out. Kendrick watched as the flesh mended itself into a weird scar. The other nurse had fixed the drip tank, that now contained many disgruntled black blobs. They together reinserted the IV back into Kendrick's arm.

Kendrick looked up into the faces of both nurses. They looked like normal nurses; two female nurses wearing white robes that held many pockets. There nurse uniforms looked to be a combination of a white wizard robes and a white lab coat. They both wore white surgical caps that were marked in the front by five black lines.

""Mr. Cain, We have given you something to calm your nerves until your treatments are complete. Please bear with us. We also apologize for not helping you earlier, as you awoke sooner than expected."" They both spoke in unison, like twins, but Kendrick could tall easily they were not.

"Ah, okay... I just kinda freaked out at the IV drip... Like what is that stuff. I don't think it's normal to put monsters in your body.... Why am I so calm about this?" Kendrick started to question his responses.

""Mr. Wyrd, could you please explain everything properly to Mr. Cain. We have other patients to attend to, but if you need anything. Please call us."" The nurses had turned to the strange looking old man, as they again spoke in unison.

"Yeah, I get it. You two like fuck off." The old man responded. His voice seemed to indict he might of been a groupie in the 60s. A hippie. He even dressed slightly like a hippie. This old man had long black hair while he wore a pair of round sunglasses. He also wore a dark tie dye shirt with the colors orange, black, blue, and purple swirling into the center of the shirt, with a black denim Jacket and black denim jeans. However, he wore black combat boots. Kendrick took it back... This wasn't just a hippie, it was a goth hippie.

The two nurses bowed and left the room. The door slide back into place in a sci-fi fashion.

"Blah... I friggin hate gemini nurses... They've always given me the creeps, and son let me tell you. Giving me the creeps is hard to do at this point."

"Who are you?" Kendrick asked slightly concerned.

"I'm the dude that's going to show you the ropes. Your guide, and like your tutor. Lord Candle-light is spoiling the fuck out of you my dude."

"Lord Candle-light? You mean the demon-thing I met?"

"Demon-thing... The hell is that? Lord Candle-light is a Nightmare god." The old man responded slightly confused...

"What's a Nightmare god?"

"Flying fuck monkeys, your sponsor didn't tell you shit did they?"

"Ummmm... I met a strange dude named Chi yang, who asked if I wanted everything... I think I agreed. Next thing I know I'm talking to five demon-things."

"Nightmare gods."

"I..."

"Nope... Stop right there." The old man interrupted Kendrick. "Let me start with some introductions." The old man shook his head... 

[How did he become Lord Candle-light's piece and gain his favor?] The old man thought to himself.

"My name is Valdus Wyrd. You can call me Val, if you like. Your Lord Candle-light paid enough for you to get at least that courtesy." Val spoke slowly so that Kendrick could understand.

"Ah?"

"Yeah, and Kendrick is a long name, so I'm going to just call you Ken from now on."

"But my name is Kendrick... That's what I want to be called."

"Well I don't give two and a half shits... You're Ken now, get use to it."

"Errrr-" Just as Kendrick was going to retort, he was interrupted again by Val.

"So Ken, lets start with the basics."

"Okay... I can live with that."

"Living... That's the hard part actually, but I digress. You have been inducted to the mostly widely known secret in the Omniverse. We are known as pieces to the Nightmare gods, but We are known to mortals and each other as Horrormancers."

"Omniverse? Horrormancers? I don't quite follow..."

"Wow... The dunce twins must of gave you some good shit to make you this stupid... Okay... The Omniverse is all multiverses, all Universes, all realities, and all existences in one. Try not to think about it... Just know it's big as fuck. You've already met two Horrormancers, me and Chi Yang."

"Okay, I get the Omniverse thing, but what does a Horrormancer do... Is it like a Necromancer?"

"No one wants to play with dead bodies... Zombies are rather weak when compared to Nightmares. Hell... Zombies are Nightmares... So We can kinda like summon them... Whatever let me explain it this way..."

Val took a deep breath.

"Horrormancers draw upon they're fears to manifest a creature made from the summoner's own nightmares. They use these nightmare creatures to kill their enemies or for various tasks. In short, Horrormancers summon their own nightmares as weapons or tools."

"That... That actually sounds pretty cool."

"Yeah, it's real cool until you can't keep the nightmare at bay and it eats your sanity, leaving you a drooling idiot... or worse... No body at all."

"Wait... These summoned nightmares can kill you?"

"It's a double edged blade... To gain power, you must give in return. It's always a race to be more powerful that your fears, least your fears consume you. It's kinda philosophical, if you think about it."

"Okay... I get what Horrormancers are... but what did they do to me... You called them, gemini nurses."

"Which part? The IV drip, the Yogg-Tech implants, the brain and other tissue collection, or the shot they gave you?"

"Brain tissue collection?!"

"Whoa boy! Even the drugs can't keep you calm with that one. Calm down. They are using it and your other tissues collected in case you need to be repaired. We fight a lot with other Horrormancers and other enemies of the Nightmare gods, that they just feel like pissing on, and We usually lose a leg, an arm... Maybe your frontal lobe of your brain. Who knows. They use these tissues to grow you replacements. As long as you don't lose or damage your central cortex the docs can repair you."

"Wouldn't it be heal?" Kendrick asked, baffled by the wording.

"Heal? No... You don't quite get it. You're no longer mortal. This brings me to my next point. You see that IV drip?"

"Yeah, I was freaking out over it earlier... In fact, I still want to, but just don't feel like it."

"That's actually a good thing, that's the drugs working. You're part nightmare now."

"They've turned me into a nightmare... Like the things we can summon?"

"You mean me and other Horrormancers summon... Yes... You're not a Horrormancer yet, but you will be when I get done."

"Why make me into a half nightmare?"

"Half? You'd be lucky with a five percent integration. Highest integration I've ever heard of was eighty-five percent. That guy was a friggin nightmare... Like a literal nightmare."

"What happened to him?"

"...His nightmare consumed him..."

"But if he was a nightmare, then why did it consume him?"

"What kind of question is that... Animals eat other animals... Nightmares eat other nightmares. Becoming part will make you super human. The more integration you gain, the more personal power you gain. You want to stay more powerful than your fear fueled nightmares, or like I said earlier..."

Val dragged his thumb across his neck.

"What kind of power?"

"increased strength, faster reactions and speeds, more stamina, more mental fortitude, and increased intelligence."

"Holy crap!"

"Yeah, when your system boots up, it will give you a run down on your stats. It's been a while since I've looked at mine... The stats are called Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma... Never understood that last one..."

"Those are RPG stats..."

"Alright... You got me this time... What in a cock-a-doodle is a RPG...?"

"Role Playing Game."

"Hmmmm... This might be a case of what came first, but seeing as the Nightmare gods have existed before the beginning of our Omniverse, I'd wager they came up with it first... But honestly, who knows, and who cares."

"You said something about a system... What system?"

"Oh, that's the Yogg-Tech implants! Lord Candle-light asked for you to be implanted with the latest and greatest shit that has come out of his laboratories."

Kendrick was a regular guy. Worked at a local retailer as an unloading manager. Went to work... Went home... Play games... Rinse and Repeat. 

One night coming home, he encounters that which he should of never seen. Before he knows it, he has been swept into world of living Nightmare and expected to compete as a Nightmare, with Nightmares, against Nightmares.

He will need to control his fear in order survive in a Nightmare without fear.

After breakfast, Zhizhong Gu went to his office, and saw that Bin Wang was standing by his door, eagerly awaiting him there.
"Anything I can help with?" Zhizhong behaved casually. He took out a key to open the door, as Bin Wang, not hesitating, followed Zhizhong Gu into his office directly.
"Hey Old Gu, I have found something big!" Bin Wang said with excitement.
"Take your time, have some water first." Zhizhong Gu took out a paper cup from a locker below the water dispenser, passing it to Bin Wang.
"Old Gu, I have found a good way for warming up." Bin Wang got some water for himself, then drank it.
Zhizhong Gu took off his jacket and hung it on a clothes tree, while asking, "What is it?"
"Square dance!" said Bin Wang.
"This is not funny at all!" Zhizhong Gu fetched a box of tea, shook the box toward Bin Wang, then asked, "Tea? This year's new tea. Not the best one, but tastes good."
"I'm not joking!" Bin Wang ignored that box of tea, and continued to explain, "I arrived early this morning, and went directly to the training center. You know what I saw? Dai Li was leading a group of athletes doing square dance!"
"Say it again? Square dance!" Zhizhong Gu put down the tea box. "This is ridiculous!"
"Listen, this square dance can warm up your body," Bin Wang explained.
"Square dance can warm up my body? Hahahaha..." Zhizhong Gu couldn't help but laugh out loud. His laughter was filled with scorn and mockery.
"Hey, trust me, I'm serious, I also danced several times!" Bin Wang said.
"You went to the training center early this morning, for square dance? Hahahaha..." Zhizhong Gu laughed even louder.
Bin Wang felt a little speechless, but he didn't blame Zhizhong Gu. After all, a few hours ago, he didn't believe that square dance could help him warm up, either.
"Old Gu, I'm telling you the truth, not a joke. Think about this, if I wanted to make fun of you, why would I came to wait for you so early in the morning?!" Bin Wang defended himself.
Hearing this, Zhizhong Gu finally became serious. He considered carefully for a while, feeling that Bin Wang did make some sense.
"That square dance, have you ever tried it? Did it indeed work?" Zhizhong Gu checked with Bin Wang.
"I did! And it worked out very well. This morning, I only danced for about ten minutes, and my body was warmed up, so I was excited. At that time, I had an impulse to catch a bat and have a competition with someone!" said Bin Wang.
Zhizhong Gu frowned a little bit. He thought for a few seconds, then ordered, "Let's go to the training center. And in passing, call Coach Wang, Coach Zhou, and Coach Hu. Dai Li was shocked by the spectacle. Not only were Zhizhong Gu and Bin Wang present, but the core coaches in the national ping-pong team were all there as well. They all came for his Warming Up Square Dance.
Dai Li was embarrassed, as those people standing in front of him were "old coaches", who had been coaching for years, with sufficient experience and techniques, and who often participated in foreign games, so they wouldn't be fooled easily. Those coaches gazed at Dai Li with different facial expressions. Some looked at him curiously, some were waiting to poke fun at what they assumed would be Dai Li's upcoming misfortune.
"The square dance I developed indeed has positive warming up effect," Dai Li introduced, remaining thick-skinned. "Square dance is a series of coherent holistic actions, to my understanding, and in my square dance, I incorporate different warming up movements that are coordinated together as a whole. Activities like traditional muscle stretching and joint activation could be performed in the square dance, too."
Dai Li covered a lot of information, while secretly observing the others' facial expressions. Seeing that no one disagreed with his words, he continued more bravely, "I use square dance as a warm up, and actually, I'm taking athletes as a whole group also. To adopt a series of coherent warming up exercise into a coherent group, we can gain two-fold results, with half the effort."
He continued, "Moreover, I found that square dance music can easily stimulate the human cerebral cortex, and instantly activate human vitality. Meanwhile, such mental excitement could also stimulate Hormone secretion faster, thus signifying the warming up effect."
Dai Li forcibly explained for a while, realizing that he was about to convince even himself, and he admired his "make things up as he goes" ability. To be honest, Dai Li didn't want to talk nonsense. Knowledge about Warming Up Square Dance had already spread in the national ping-pong team, plus, Zhizhong Gu came here with a group of professional experienced coaches, so he must find a reasonable excuse to convince them about the dance's positive effect.

The coaches stared at each other, none willing to participate. They were all famous ping-pong coaches, and had gained much fame in the Ping-Pong arena, so how could they put away pride to do square dance? The atmosphere grew even more embarrassing.
As the one who had experienced square dance, Bin Wang had faith in Dai Li. He looked around, noticing that nobody was willing to dance, and so he volunteered to be the first one.
"Let me have a try!" As he said this, Bin Wang pulled Team Two chief coach Feihong Liu out of the crowd.
"I...don't want to..." Feihong Liu stuttered, ready to refuse, but was shot a look by Bin Wang, whose eyes were clearly warning him: You must support me!
Feihong Liu sighed helplessly, and was pulled out by Bin Wang stiffly. He looked at the crowd with a "SOS" expression in his eyes.
"Alright then, I will have a try, too!" Zhizhong Gu stepped out at last.
As the chief coach, Zhizhong Gu's participation was basically his announcing that he supported Dai Li. After all, Dai Li was recruited to the national ping-pong team by Zhizhong Gu himself. Therefore, when necessary, Zhizhong Gu should show his support.
"Then I will have some exercise!" Seeing that Zhizhong Gu clarified his position, and mentality, two more coaches stepped out.

Square dance's magical music rang out, as Zhizhong Gu and the other coaches learned to dance after Dai Li, but their facial expressions were still embarrassed.
However, after a few minutes, the dancers felt the warming up effect being delivered throughout their bodies.
This square dance can indeed warm up! Zhizhong Gu's face gradually became serious. He could sense that his body was subconsciously dancing with the beats.
Except for Dai Li, the others were all retired professional ping-pong players, including the world's top ones. As such, they had much more practical experience than Dai Li. Therefore, they were more sensitive towards warm up effects.
"Old Chu, old Zhou, come join us." Zhizhong Gu waved to the coaches observing on the side.
This time, Zhizhong Gu instructed them himself, so the others dared not refuse. Although they were reluctant to dance, they still joined in.

He continued his explanation, "If this square dance can be used as warm up, it will increase our competence to a large extent. Our athletes are already more competitive than their opponents, so once we are in good conditions at the beginning of the game, we will surely win."
"Furthermore, square dance doesn't require much space or equipment. As long as we have an empty room and a music player, we can dance. Truly, this is customized for us!"

Jayde entered the captain briefing room which was lavishly decorated, sneering to herself Jayde thought that if she had 'liberated' this starship, the first thing she would have done was stripped this office. It is a damn starship, not some luxurious resort.

"Ah, SN1098 so nice to see you," Vice President Xi said facetiously.

Jayde didn't bother to respond to Vice President Xi's question, giving him aloof look she sat down on one of the chairs opposite him, crossing her right leg over her left, she cocked her right eyebrow at Vice President Xi.

"I'm in no mood for your childish games, what the f*ck is going on?" Jayde demanded brusquely.

Throwing Jayde a mocking smile, Vice President Xi leaned back in his chair, "Woke up on the wrong side of the bed?" 

Lawrence who had just taken a seat gave a short guffaw at Vice President Xi comment.

Jayde rolled her eyes. Suck up, she thought.

Seeing that Jayde wasn't rising to his bait, the mocking smile on Vice President Xi's face fell. His eyes turned cold and cruel.

"Well it simple my dear SN1098, you are my prisoner — and you have been for over four months now,"

"Bullshit!" Jayde barked.

"I want to know how the hell you escaped Crypso 3Q3U, and more importantly how transferred my soul back into this body?"

Jayde had been thinking through everything, all she could think of was somehow Lawrence and Xi had escaped when she denoted that antimatter bomb, and through some means had transported her soul from Doha into a cloned body.

While she didn't know how the hell the Federation had the technology to manipulate souls, the Protoss technology had convinced Jayde that is was possible. Cloning although illegal wouldn't have prevented the Xi Corp from creating a clone of her.

"Transferred your soul?"  echoed Vice President Xi, then he burst out laughing.

"Oh my god, you believe that we transferred your soul," he said spluttering through his laughter. 

"Oh god, this is too brilliant, SN1055 remind me to give those scientists a hefty bonus."

It took Vice President Xi nearly three minutes to regain control. While he was howling with laughter Jayde was feeling a bad premonition. What the hell was going on, she thought filled with confusion and fear.

"Shit SN1098, you really are a disappointment," Vice President Xi said shaking his head sadly.

"What the f*ck do you think this is — some sort of fantasy novel?" he said contemptuously.

"Let me explain it to you in simple terms, just so that small brain of yours can understand. Four months ago, when you tried to activate that cute little chip in your head to denote those antimatter bombs, our jamming device intercepted your signal."

With false sympathy Vice President Xi carried on with his explanation: "Unfortunately the feedback from the interception, cause a backlash and well — you suffered some temporary damage to the area around the chip." 

Leaning forward Vice President Xi placed both his elbows on the desk in front of him, casually he rested his chin on his fists. 

"And you have been under my tender care ever since." Smiling enigmatically he said: "You had such delicious information in that sweet brain of yours."

Impossible!

"I don't believe you!" Jayde cried out.

"To be honest, I don't give a f*ck whether you believe me or not, but I am so going to enjoy watching that composure of yours crumble." Vice President Xi said as he turned to screen embedded into wall of his office.

"Computer display medical recordings for prisoner SN1098 dated from stardate 32010518."

"Accessing video recordings."

Jayde looked at the screen and felt the blood in her veins freeze, as she saw a video recording of herself lying on a medbay bed. Various machines were attached to her head. Lawrence and Vice President Xi were standing next to her bed, with two scientists. They were discussing her current condition.

"I don't give a damn about your excuses," Vice President Xi voice came through the audio channel.

"I want the f*cking information in that bitch's head, what the hell is the holdup?"

"Sir, we are trying our best, but she keeps on fighting the data miner, if this carries on we will gain nothing, right now there are multiple brain hemorrhages from our last attempt, she could very well die if we continue," one of the scientists said.

"Don't give me f*cking problems, give me solutions!"

With that Vice President Xi and Lawrence left the room. The screen then changed to a new scene, at the top of the screen a new date stamp was recorded.

The recording was nine days later in the same room. Vice President Xi and the same two scientists were standing by Jayde's bed.

"Sir, we think we might have a solution." the younger scientist said.

"About bloody time." Vice President Xi responded. 

"Well what is it?" he asked when the scientists didn't immediately respond.

"If we distract her mind, give it something else to concentrate on, we believe that we could then sneak in and obtain that information."

"How are you going to distract her brain?" 

"We believe," the scientist said indicting himself and his partner, "that if we stimulate the reticular activating system [1], concentrating on the cortex, limbic system, and the amygdala and depress the frontal lobes, we can put her into a continuous dream state. With her frontal lobes depressed this would make her believe that her dream state is real.

While she is experiencing her dream state, we could then actively mine her hippocampus and cortex, accessing her memories." 

Vice President Xi looked at the two scientists seriously. "And just how are you going to stimulate her to dream, she has been trained her whole life to be rational and logical?"

"Ah, we have that covered as well," the older scientist said excitedly. "We will feed her audio suggestions."

Vice President Xi looked at Jayde lying on the bed for a minute then turning to the two scientists he  ordered: "Do it."

The screen on the wall faded out, and a new scene was shown.

The new scene showed the two scientists and Lawrence in a conference room. They were discussing the current experiment with Lawrence.

"We can get her to dream but every time we give her suggestions to deepen her dream state, she fights our suggestions and we can not start the mining operation." the younger scientists said his voice filled with frustration.

"Hmm," Lawrence said thoughtfully.

"What are you trying to get her to dream about?" he asked.

The science handed over a datapad to Lawrence, which he read through.

"I think I know what your problem is, you are trying to make her believe that she is still head of the rebellion and carrying out missions. Change it. I do know one thing about SN1098, she had a passion for ancient earth history, use that."

"Really?" the younger scientists look up excited. 

"Hmm but what sort of environment would be best suited then?" he mumbled to himself.

Laughing Lawrence said: "Make it as unrealistic as possible, you want to distract her — then give her an unreal experience that she has to puzzle over."

The scene of the conference on the screen faded out and was replaced with a new scene.

Stardate 32010616

The screen showed the medbay again, with Jayde lying on the medbay bed. Only the younger scientist and Vice President Xi were in the room with Jayde.

"It is working Sir!"

"Really?" Vice President Xi asked shocked.

"Yes Sir, we are being careful to only data mine her memories slowly, so as not to alarm her, but so far everything is working perfectly," the young scientists bragged.

"Interesting, so what suggestions are feeding her?" Vice President Xi asked curiously.

With a smug smile, the scientists pointed to a large screen above the medbay that Jayde was lying one. One the screen was a list of words.

Doha, Reiko, Yinxin, Dragons, Alchemy, Magic School, Fire Magic, Isha, Protoss, Fireball, Direwolves, Telia, Ryunzo, Sword, Dark Forest, Junro, Mage, Magic.

Looking at the scrolling list being displayed Jayde's shoulders slumped down, as her hands fell limply onto her lap. Closing her eyes, she let out a hard sigh. Jayde felt a strange thickening feeling in her throat, as her mouth filled with dryness.

Oh my god, it was all a dream, she thought sluggishly. Everything was just a dream, there was no Reiko, no Yinxin or baby dragons, everything was just a f*cking dream.

A sharp stabbing pain hit Jayde left chest at that thought. Lifting her right hand she rubbed that painful spot. Gods am I so weak that I am having a heart attack due to the shock.

[1] About dreaming

The whole brain is active during dreams, from the brain stem to the cortex. Most dreams occur during REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. This is part of the sleep-wake cycle and is controlled by the reticular activating system whose circuits run from the brain stem through the thalamus to the cortex.

The limbic system in the mid-brain deals with emotions in both waking and dreaming and includes the amygdala, which is mostly associated with fear and is especially active during dreams.

The cortex is responsible for the content of dreams, including the monsters we flee from, the people we meet, or the experience of flying. Since we are highly visual animals the visual cortex, right at the back of the brain, is especially active, but so are many other parts of the cortex.

As Andreas run down the corridor he meets up with the intruders and yell "hey it's me you're looking for right come and get me" as the three mages chase Andreas down the corridor back to the cortex one of the mages start to shoot at Andreas's legs trying to immobilize him from running any farther and as soon as Andreas make it to the entrance of the cortex the mage finally hit his leg Andreas fall look at the mages and throws his two kunais at two of the mages head as the last mage rush into Trinity trap well this is all happening Micheal was going on a rampage because some mages tried to do a hit and run Michael told Jasmine and Linda to hurry back to the base just in case Andreas is in danger, Jasmine told Linda to jump on her back so they could get back to the base fast, while they were leaving Michael was searching for the enemy who shot at him from behind just to find Andreas. Michael looks up and sees both Destroyer and Eliminator. Elliot: calm down Micheal we only came to talk and not fight or bargain trust me. Michael: why should i trust the people who brutally hurt my leader. Tobi: Because we would've been kilt you idiot. Elliot: He's right you know do you really think you can take both of us all by yourself all we came here to do is to give you a little information about your friend and my old friend Andreas and yourself. Micheal made it back to the Lighting League HQ and see an army of mages waiting outside Micheal then gets angry over what Tobi and Elliot told them and then went on a rampage clearing out more and more enemies slowly they started to retreat Michael went into the base find more and took them out as well. Andreas thanks MIchael for helping them out with the intruder problem but out of the blue Michael look at Andreas with a dark look in his eyes and then said. Michael: hey Dreas is there anything you hiding from us like about what you truly are or any of us are. Andreas: Mike what are you talking about are you.. . Michael: Elliot told me about it already that me and you get corrupted by our ancestors they said that you saw it in that vision you had when you was in your damn coma. Andreas: fine do you want to hear the truth about what had happen in my vision well do you. Everybody said yes and so Andreas went along to tell them what all really happen in his vision that will soon be known as a Nightmare.

For that he forced himself to learn about everything he can about magical and mundane health treatments much to his grandmaa's disaproval . Nevill looked at his trolly and push passed the gateway to the  platform 9 3/4 . He has hardened himself to become the best he can standing at a hight of 5.3 feet lean body and those expensive dressing style he look like a prince charming . 

" Do , you have everything  Nev" his granny asked checking everything in his trolly and his silver phonix owl ( a rare breed of magical owl) and his belongings . 

" For the tenth time mom , I have everything  Nev said annoyed at his overprotective granny " He started calling her Mom on instincts when he was a kid and the word made his granny cry for hours . From that day he never stopped calling her mom .

" Silver , take care of this idiot for me okey " Granny rubbed the owls head and the owl responed by looking at Nevill like he is an idiot then turned to granny returning the affection nudgging her hand with her head . Nevill rolled  his eyes looking at the two teaming up on him . ( Traitors ). Nevil gave a last hug to his granny before taking all his belongings up the train rolling the bag he choose a cabin which have only one kid in it . 

" Hi can I sit here " Nevil said  raising his hand for a hello .

" Ofcourse " The kid with jet black hair and green eyes looked at him smiling . 

" I am Nevill longbottom Bytheway " Nevill introduced himself shaking the kids hand .
 " Hi, Nevill , I am Harry Harry Bekham " The kid introduced himself .

I looked at Nevill and I am surprised by him . He is nothing like the timid , awakward shy guy I have read in Novel insted he is this upfront guy who is determined and not afraid to interact at all. And to my surprise  he is aiming to become the best magical Doctor in the world ( ofcourse he is trying to cure his parents ).

" Is that a silver phonix " I stared at his owl the this is a super rare breed of owls that are considered to have phonix blood in them.

" Ya I hatched it myself it was a gift from my granny after a incident " he said remembering something  " Her name is silver ".

" So ,cool  mine's name is headwig and she is not magical but I think she is more intelligent then me " I winked at him whispering the last part . we both Laughed  looked at headwig and silver who were staring at each other without blinking ( I want to know whats so interesting ).

" You heard Rose Potter is going to be in our year " I asked wanting to know what his openion on the girl who live .

" Ah, " he turned red ( Having a crush on the girl who live huh mate ) " Yeah , she is , I know her actually she is so kind and beautiful . " and  he got lost in the lala land .

" Have any one seen a boy named Harry Potter " A girl barged into our cabin without knocking  the girl have beautiful red curls and green eyes that gleam with sunlight . She looked at me and her voice stuck .

" Don't apolozize Rose , it must be his scheme to get close to you " Susan said from behind her .I looked at the girls invading our privacy and accusing of crimes I haven't commited I was about to show them what it is like to be in the reciving end but ..

" Hey rose , I wasn't expecting you here " A new voice said this time the owner of the voice is a blond lanky kid who is acompanied by two low budget Duddly clones . 

" Malfoy " I heard Rose saying " What do you want Malfoy ".

They froze under my glare ( later I foundout it also cause ringing sound in the ears ) a bit more and Draco fall down on his knees " Don't ever try to bully me " I said my vouce ice cold even Rose stepped away from me sussan and Dephyne Were stunned as they get affected alyhough much less then the evil trio.

" Go away I don't need this shit on my first day of the school " I looked at the trio trying to cower away from me .

After they left I was about to sitdown Again looking at Nevill who is slack jawed at the moment .

Original levitation charm only allow user to levitate an object or move object with there wand but as Adam does it directly with his brain . He could now controll movement of  matter at a atomic scale giving the illusion of  telekinesis.

Magic being the primal force of nature is capable of bending reality on a quantumic scale . This ability allow Adam to change the reality of an non resisting or non intelligent organism into anything he so desire  making it appear as something else entirely .

(METAMORPHOMAGUS /SHAPESHIFTER)
ADAM as Harry is a natural Born Metamorphomagus along with his newly mutated body and his prior knowledge in human anatomy /physiology grant him ascess to every atom in his own body .
He could potentially shapeshift into anything thing he desire as long as he preiorly know the   structure of his desired object and it come within the mass and energy consumption ratio.

Adam with his friends have developed a blue print for organic eye that could grant telescopic vision to a human ( technologically imposible in current time ). But with the help of his shapeshifting he could change his eyes to have telescopic abilities . He can see up to a mile range with perfect sight . Including any spectrum vision will grant him telescopic spectrum vision.

Mastering his Telekinetic abilities , Adam has learned to harness its power to enhance his strength , speed and agility . He could punch with two ton of force . or pinpoint the force with his finger in a single point without damaging his finger .( with increase in his magical power and  improved controll it could grow indefinitely ) .

It took time and effort, but finally, I have been successful in my quest to consume the Biomass resulting from a Gravity Bomb! After contending with the dense ball of ex-monster with my mandibles without success, I had to apply other methods to try and soften it. Water magic and acid had some effect, but not much on the unyielding chunk but they did provide the impetus that allowed the breakthrough! By first cooling the sphere and then heating it with ice and fire magic respectively, then biting the heck out of it I'd been able to crack the ball open finally. Once such a weakness has been exposed, it was merely a matter of persistence, chomping on the thing over and over again to break off small flakes and shards that I could eat one by one.
 
The taste is horrendous. Unimaginably bad. But there's little that can be done about that, the pursuit of Biomass doesn't allow for weak stomachs! If I wasn't willing to eat something disgusting, I would have starved to death long ago. I wouldn't have even made it as long as I did as a human! Something like this is laughable.
 
Of course, my sub-brains continue their brutal training regime even as I worry this ball of food into manageable chunks. No rest can be allowed if I'm to survive the upcoming rounds. Despite my peace offering to the leaders of this farce of a Cult, I don't think they'll let me have the easy way out. Their greed for knowledge is one thing, their dedication to their idiotic vision quite another. After getting to this point and sacrificing so many of their own members' projects, would they really be willing to throw the rules out the window to let me go? I'm not sure even the lure of new magic is enough to get my deal over the line.
 
Even beyond their stubborn ideology is their strange and seemingly baseless dislike of me as an individual. You don't like ant monsters, fine. We do start very weak, it's true. I've been lucky I've made it as far as I have. Yet there seems to be this strange insistence that I wind up dead. Why?! It can't just be because they don't want me wasting resources they would rather see being funnelled into stronger monsters. If that was all they wanted, surely they'd just have to wait until I ran into another creature that I couldn't beat and all my accumulated experience and Biomass would go toward their desired end.
 
It just doesn't make sense. I feel like there's something missing, and it's making me even more uncomfortable. I don't want to hang around this place any longer than I have to. The sooner I can get out, the better. The next chance I get I'll need to talk to Jim and see how he's going with his preparations. I may need to rely on my fellow reincarnators to enact our daring escape before things here escalate even further.
 
I don't dare wait and hope that the Colony will find me. The distance is great and the direction unknown. Even if they're all working hard, and I'm sure that they are, it's too much to ask that they would be able to find me and set me free. No, even if they found me, I'm not sure I'd want them exposing themselves. I've no idea how the nutters in this cult would react to intelligent ants, and beyond that, I don't want to bring the wrath of the Golgari empire down on my family. Even with all of the promise and strength that the Colony has shown, I don't think we'd be able to survive.  
 
Granted I haven't seen exactly how large or powerful the supposed Golgari civilisation is, but I don't feel like taking any risks. Until I know otherwise, I need to assume it can't be handled by us ants.
 
Putting all that aside, what do I need to do now? Mutate baby! I've got a whole pile of Biomass stored up after two successful fights and managing to consume the remains of the Creeper has given me quite a number to work with and I intend to DO WORK. In total I have a whopping five hundred and ten Biomass to spend. These monsters are packed full of juicy goodness and the further we go in this mad tournament the juicier they get. They're like pinatas filled with candy that lets me improve myself. Eating through all of these monsters is netting me levels and Biomass at a pretty heft pace, which is good! I'd just rather get it done with less risk. Risk is bad.
 
So what to spend it on?! Excitement is real! I can feel my heart all aflutter! Time to dig into those menus! First thing first, I need to work out what to upgrade. So far the only things I've managed to max out at +25 are my Carapace, Plating, Stomach and Regeneration Gland. There's a heck of a lot left to go. My mandibles are probably a top priority, increasing my offensive power could do with a boost. Although my magic has proven to be the decisive factor so far. Perhaps I should go with my coordination cortex? Improving the performance of my brains would also assist with my training speed, since I'd be able to cast more spells more rapidly.
 
That seems intelligent! Let's go with that then!
 
Quickly bringing up the menu, I peruse the options as I think about the direction I've taken my coordination cortex so far. The first two mutations focused on improving the brain's ability to work independently, then I improved their ability to work together and fused it. For the +20 upgrade, I took the Indomitable option, which allowed the coordination cortex to help spread the load of mental strain across my minds to prolong my ability to work for an extended time under stress. When combined with my Collective Will Vestibule, if I ever get back in range of the Colony, I might be able to keep slinging spells forever.
 
Which had worked well, I have to say. My sub-brains get put through a lot of work, no slacking for them! Letting my coordination cortex help lighten the burden has been good, and I think I'm willing to go further down that line of mutation, especially given my current circumstances. Perhaps next time I evolve, I need to look for something that might give me some of that synergy along these lines. If I can make my brains work harder for longer that'll have a tremendous increase in my magical Skills training speed.
 
Browsing down the menu, I can't see anything that particularly grabs my eye. In the end, I settle on an option that extends from Indomitable, Unyielding. This option will allow me to push my minds even further. That's 115 Biomass down the gurgler. What's next?
