Apparently skittles are not only safe to consume for vegetarians but also vegans. Once upon a time they contained gelatin, but it has since been removed from the ingredients list. Although they taste pretty good and are safe to consume for vegans, that doesn't make them healthy. They don't really provide any health benefits and apparently the food coloring used, for example Red 40, can actually cause some undesirable side effects like hyperactivity in children, allergies, hypersensitivity and may even lead to cancer. Another type of food coloring, yellow 5, can cause allergic reactions which may then trigger asthma. 

But too be honest pretty much anything and everthing is unhealthy in some way since that's just how life is. Even if you live in a place like Germany where the tap water is safe to consume, the pipes that bring it might just contaminate the water since it's not feasible to change them every few years. 

No matter what item you pick there is always a negative impact caused by it. If you want a pencil that pencil has to come from somewhere. If it was produced in a factory, that factory most definitely produced pollution. To get the materials for the wooden part you have to chop down a whole tree. Now that isn't quite efficient, but if you just want a single pencil, you would need to chop down a tree since I couldn't find any pencils made of bark online. Now those are just a few of the problems you'll notice at a single glance and each of those problems can and will cause a chain reaction of more problems. The chopping of a tree for example would mess up the ecosystem in numerous ways.

My family walked down the pathway. To my Aunt's and Uncle's house. They live in house H. Close to Keda. Dad knocked on the door then opened it.

"We're here!" He called. 

"Esmail, how have you been brother." My uncle said walking up to him for a hug.

"Great. How are you, Philec?" He asked. They let go of each other and started for the dining room with the rest of his family.

"Grinda, Samsi, and little Mexida," Dad said as we entered the other room. I saw Samsi sitting looking at me, he felt guilty. Tezuka glared at him. The others don't know about what happened between us.

"Alright, everyone. It is a Blessing day. Try to get along." Philec said sitting at the table. Everyone sat down. I sat next to Tezuka and mom. She sat next to Grinda, Mexida, Philec, Esmail, then Samsi, 

Blessing day is when families all get together to spend the day as one before the harsh storms of the season begin. It's to remind everyone about the importance of family. I don't like this day, because my family sucks. The only good part is Tezuka and little Mexida, who is only just over eight years old, so there's not much to hate. After we ate lunch everyone went off to do their own thing. 

"Tamashiro," Samsi said standing close in front of me. He looked down then started playing with his hands.

"Look, I'm sorry about what Fadeno did. I didn't expect him to go that far." He said. Tezuka rolled his eyes and grabbed my arm ready to pull me away. I tugged away then hugged Samsi.

"It's not your fault," I said, he looked at me confused. I let go of him.

"You are still an ass," I added punching his gut, he hunched over.

"I deserve that." He said painfully. I hooked my arm around Tezuka and we walked away proudly.

"That's my bro." He said lightly elbowing my side. I let go of him as we reached the couch and sat down.

"What'd he do?" Philec asked.

"He enabled Fadeno as he bullied us for years," I replied. He lightly nodded.

"Well, good job then." He said before walking away. 

Every cluster has it's own customs and standards. In cluster 203 if someone did you wrong, then apologize. You get a little 'it's all good' revenge. That's normally one good free punch anywhere you choose. If they don't apologize you get the normal amount of revenge. You know, a good beating. If you want. You don't have to. I will. Eventually.

"Tamashiro, can you watch Mexida, for a second," Grinda asked next to little Jem.

"Yeah, of course," I replied she smiled and handed me the kid. I just hope I don't grow to hate them. I took them and sat down. Mexida can't talk, just doesn't have the ability. Most of us started learning sign language, so we can teach her, and talk to her. for now, we have other ways of talking to her. We played a little I spy. 

"Tama!" My mom called. I sighed and left Mexida to Tezuka. I went to the kitchen and saw her standing there with dad. She stood next to a large box, dad held onto another.

"Take this outside, please." She asked. I let out a deep breath then went over and picked up the box. Mom smiled.

"Thank you, sweetheart." She said before leaving the kitchen. I was getting ready to call her back in but decided against it.

"Let's go," Dad said walking to the back door. I picked up the box, it was heavy, but not hard to pick up. I followed dad. He leads me outside to the small backyard, which is mainly patio. 

"Get the box open." He said I pulled the tape off then opened the box. Dad did the same. Inside was bits and pieces.

"Go inside, I can do this." He instructed me softly. I didn't budge. He glared at me.

"Now." He demanded lightly raising his voice. I turned and went back inside. Mom looked at me as I entered the living room, I just looked down and sat next to Tezuka, who was now childfree.

"What happened?" Tezuka asked.

"Nothing," I replied. He looked at me silently for a moment the lightly nudged my side.

"Why don't you kids go do something, leave the adults to talk," Grinda said. We stood up and Samsi, lead us to his room. 

It had Blue walls and a light grey carpet. He has a bed, desk, and dresser it's a standard room. Samsi and I sat on his bed and Tezuka sat at his desk. We sat silently, not having anything to talk about. It felt like forever. Tezuka just glaring at Samsi.

"So, this is boring," I said to break the tension, it didn't work. I got up and made my way into the living room. The adults, minus dad, sat talking.

"Don't mind me," I said heading to the front door and leaving the house. I sat on the steps. I wanted to go over to Keda's, but this is a family-based holiday. He lives just across the pathway. I could see his family doing something. I just looked down

"You okay bro?" Tezuka asked as he sat next to me.

"Yeah, I just don't want to be here. It's always weird. No one actually wants to be around each other, but force it because it's a holiday. Everyone in this family hates each other." I explained wrapping my arms around my legs. He gently rubbed my back.

"I know, let's just stay out here." He agreed. We sat in silence, just enjoying the rather nice weather. It smelled like it was about to rain. It normally gives off a calming scent, that's hard to explain.

It started to drizzle so we headed back inside. Dad was inside now, for the same reason. He glared at us, as we sat at the dining room table, it was only a few feet from the living room. They continued the conversation. We decided to play on our Gedas. Since we had nothing better to do.

"Boy, your mom want's you!" Dad called, gaining our attention. Tezuka turned to him, I kept my head down.

"Which one?" He asked. I felt dad glaring at us. It burned into my skin. 

"Either is fine. I just need one of you to watch Mexida while we go outside real quick." Mom said with a smile, I could tell she was nervous though. She didn't want him blowing up here.

"I got it," I said before Tezuka could make dad mad. Mexida came over and sat with us. Grinda smiled a thank you then got up to leave.

"You want to color?" I asked the kid. They clapped their hands and repeatedly nodded "yes" excitedly. I went and got them coloring materials then sat next to Tezuka.

"Less than a day," Tezuka said. I looked at him confused.

"By the end of the day, dad will snap. It's been almost a week. He can't hold it in anymore." Tezuka explained 

"Fine, but don't egg him on," I replied. He sighed.

"Only if he stays behind the line," Tezuka said. I agreed and we went on with our day. 

It was almost dinner time, we were gonna grill outside, but rain messed that up, so it's inside cooking. Samsi stayed in his room for a while, then joined us. The adults came back in once the rain picked up. We all sat in relatively the same place. Philec started cooking dinner. 

"Tezukahada, come here please," Mom called from the kitchen. That is his full first name, Tezuka is technically a nickname. Tezuka got up and headed to the kitchen. After a few seconds, he came back and sat with his arms crossed.

"What?" I asked. He wasn't angry, just annoyed.

"She made me and dad promise not to do anything." He said.

"That's not so bad," I replied. He looked at me then gagged.

"She made us hug it out." He added. I held in a laugh, but he heard it.

"That was torture for both of you," I said before laughing. He hit my arm then went back to sulking. I put my attention back on coloring with Mexida.

Miles beneath the surface

Many years ago

The Night Light was a sight to behold.

An obsidian black color dominating the dragoness' body, her back legs, the tips of her ears and tail were covered in a snowy white pigment. Her torso was a slight mix of both, consisting of a light gray.

The adult dragon was too aware of how her race came to be. A hybrid of two similar-looking dragons that had come into existence centuries ago in the form of three individuals. As the stories said, the female was pure white, the other pure black… and the latter was on the brink of extinction.

It was said he was the only member of his kind left in the world, and his offspring ensured that the Night Furies would live on. At least, that's what the humans called them, for spreading fear and terror in the hearts of their victims. She was rather fond of it.

That Night Fury had been dead for hundreds of years, yet his essence… his blood rested in all the Night Lights that came after him, including her. And today, it would continue into a new batch.

The dragoness cooed at her four eggs with silver eyes that glinted like diamonds, believing her young would hear. She knew this was the day, for she had seen them wobble and shake. And she had been waiting for what seemed like ages.

Her ears perked up, alerting her to the presence of another dragon. Instinct took hold of her, and she quickly arose. Turning to face the newcomer, she flashed open her wings, covered in white dots that resembled stars in the night sky. She narrowed her eyes and emitted a warning growl… and relaxed, identifying the newcomer.

A Light Fury with amethyst eyes directed a calm gaze, warming the Night Light's soul. She stood down, redirecting her attention to the nest. Her mate approached, realizing the situation.

"Starbraker," he spoke. "The day has finally come."

"Indeed, Whitethunder," she responded in a gentle tone. "Our patience has paid off at last."

A black-and-white egg shifted out of the corner of Starglider's eye. A snapping sound was heard… followed by a visible crack in the shell. The first hatching.

Both Furies stared anxiously at the egg, watching as more and more cracks raced along the surface. Before long, the egg burst open, causing the parents to shield themselves with their wings. The dust faded…

...revealing a squeaking small male Night Light stumbling to stand. It blinked its bright silver eyes, black legs struggling to support its jet-black body. It chirped curiously, trying to take a step forward and falling flat on its face.

"Welcome home, little one," Starbreaker cooed, nudging the baby upright. A delighted squeak escaped its tiny mouth. Whiteout looked at his hatchling with pride.

The second egg cracked, this one revealing to be a female and have a mostly-white hatchling with black spots upon exploding. Purple eyes opened and more squeaks filled the air. Whitethunder attended to this little hatchling, gently purring and helping it stand.

The third female hatchling burst out of its shelly prison, wingtips, spine, and tail dotted black as its pearl-colored body rose. It opened its silver eyes, getting its first glimpse of the world around it. Starbreaker nuzzled it with care, causing it to purr in response.

Both adults turned to the final egg, which remained unmoved. Starbreaker was concerned when she first laid her eyes on it. It was more stone than egg; smooth and covered in dark-gray colors. She had examined it, only to discover no white markings anywhere. It was the oddest thing she had seen.

She told herself she wouldn't worry much. Perhaps the white coloring was dormant and would be fully developed on the baby when it hatched. She kept her eyes on the egg, awaiting the arrival of her final hatchling.

The other three hatchlings noticed their parents' gaze, turning to the rock-like egg in curiosity. The fourth egg shuddered slightly… and a glowing violet crack appeared on its smooth surface.

Starglider perked up. This wasn't normal hatching behavior… nor was it uncommon.

The lightning bolt-like crack raced across the surface, the brightness increasing as it did. Starting to get annoyed at the light, the other babies averted their eyes. As the egg vibrated and cracked, Starglider could've sworn she heard a faint whine from within…

Before she could finish her thoughts, the egg detonated. A violet shockwave shot out, nearly blowing the three hatchlings off their feet. The adults felt the wave wash over them, their claws dug deep into the rock. The sound of the explosion echoed across the cavern, dying down as startled dragons paused in their tracks.

When Starbreaker opened her eyes, all she saw was smoke. Something small was moving inside, but she could hardly make it out. Cautiously, she approached the smoke with Whitethunder by her side. With a gentle puff of hot air, she made the smoke dissipate…

...revealing the fourth hatchling donned in obsidian black scales.

And just black. No traces of white coloring could be seen anywhere. A chirp emanating from its throat, the male hatchling opened a Sky-blue eye. Was it just Starbreaker's imagination, or could she see a tiny lightning bolt in the split-second it opened?

The new mother was left awestruck. Approaching the baby, she looked him over from all sides. Even resorting to tipping him onto his back, which he found enjoyable. Her searches, unfortunately, were in vain.

No white colors anywhere. This hatchling was pure black.

But… that could only mean…

"What in all the fates?" Whitethunder gasped, unable to take his eyes off the hatchling. "This… this cannot be… how?"

"No white anywhere…" Starbreaker whispered. "But… this could only mean…"

"They… they're gone," her mate deduced. "For hundreds of years. Your kind is the only dragon that carries on their legacy. There haven't been any pure ones for so long!"

"And yet… here stands the proof. How this is possible is beyond me."

"...So what happens now? What will the others say when they learn of this?" Whitethunder asked her. "When they learn that a long-extinct race is now back from the dead?"

"I… I do not know," she whispered, the hatchling looking around in awe. "But… he is extraordinary. Just like the one who came before him."

"Are you saying this is his flame?" he asked, bewildered. "Reignited in a new body?"

"Not at all, Whitethunder," Starbreaker purred, nuzzling the black hatchling. "What I mean to say is, he will be just as strong as him, perhaps even stronger. Toothless. His family. All of them… now live in him."

She closed her eyes and nuzzled the baby, her hatchling- the Night Fury hatchling- squeaking happily in response.

The next three days were pretty much the same. Ziv woke up in his two bodies. Ate breakfast with Rai and then left for school. At school he would go through the lessons and do what he was supposed to quickly and efficiently. He didn't care about hiding who he was out of fear that people would look at the girls differently. He would just spend all of his free time drawing and reading. He distracted himself from anything that might make him feel negative emotions.
 
Well during the breaks Korral came back over to Ziv, during the break. At first she started drawing in the seat next to Yyella not talking, just coloring and taking peeks at what Yyella did. The next day she asked Illen's name and Yyella wrote it down for her to read it. Korral found it difficult to pronounce Illen's name compared to Yyella for whatever reason. Though as Ziv thinks back, the teacher did say Yyella's name a few times. But at the end of that day when Rai came to pick the girls up, she overheard Illen's name. So she was able to speak it clearly the next day. Korral is a fast learner or is just observant.
 
Then Friday rolled around.
 
"Illen do you want to do something with Yyella on Sunday?"
 
Rai asked Illen for her opinion. To which Illen and Yyella have proven the other day at the behest of their teacher proving Ziv's knowledge of the written language. Thankfully that made Rai less worried now that the girls were able to communicate. Yyella already had a notebook for drawing, so another, smaller, notebook was bought for Illen. It would allow her to write out answers.
 
Now Illen and Yyella were separated, within range, so Jalin also asked Yyella the same thing. Why they asked Ziv with the girls separated confused him, but he answered the same with both girls.

Sunday arrived after a day of lazing around watching more Sparkling Gate with the adults. Bern was much more subdued yesterday from work, but today that wasn't the case.
 
Ziv woke up that morning to three individuals standing in his room. Rai, Jalin and Bern all jumping around singing happy birthday. Bern made his presence more noticeable than ever as he started dancing. Everyone just stared at him.
 
"Happy birthday girls!"
 
Their beds had been pushed together since Ziv's crisis so he wouldn't be away from his bodies. So at the end of their beds the adults stood. Jalin was carrying two boxes, one in each hand. In the middle between Bern and Jalin stood Rai holding a cake with candles and a big five on top in pink and white frosting.
 
Ziv actually had never seen a cake before, but he read about it many times. It was something he was looking forward to and today was that day! So Ziv had Yyella express her excitement in a similar manner to Bern, while Illen was more subdued as Ziv was when it was his birthday with his family.
 
Rai lowered the cake and gestured for the girls to crawl to the edge of the bed.
 
"Illen and Yyella, how about you two blow out the candles at the same time?"
 
Ziv nodded excitedly and moved over to the edge of the bed. At the same time both girls blew out the candles. Ziv wished Illen and Yyella a happy birthday wherever they were. He also said a thank you and goodbye to his mom and dad. At the same time wishing that Rai's parents were doing well. Regardless of where they were, whoever was connected to him, he gave them a big smile in hopes to make them proud.
 
Bern grabbed a few chairs and brought them in for the adults to sit on. Rai cut and plated the cake and handed them out to everyone. Jalin, in the meantime, handed a box to each girl. Getting the ok, Ziv opened each one.
 
Yyella got a set of glitter markers, sketchbooks, more colored pencils, and a coloring book. Ziv was actually happy about this. He was slowly getting better at drawing and he enjoyed coloring at the school. It's a gift that was given with care for Yyella and Ziv acknowledged their efforts with a hug.
 
Illen opened her box to find a 'tech pad'. It wasn't actually a tech pad, but it was similar to the smart phones they used but a bit bigger. Ziv wasn't entirely happy to find out the reason for this gift was that books were expensive to buy physical copies, but he was aware how expensive they were. When he researched the technology over the past few days, this wasn't something you would buy for a kid, but they must have seen how engrossed he was in books that they got him one anyway. Without hesitation he ran over and hugged the adults.
 
They ate their cake and then started to leave the house.

It wasn't the type of park that Ziv imagined. The place they went had an area of sand and slides. Kids were swinging on the playground. Laughing and yelling consumed any relaxation that Ziv wanted. But looking at his family and seeing their smiles, he decided to go with it and enjoy it.
 
The first thing Ziv tried were the slides. The feeling of letting gravity take him down in a controlled spiral on the plastic tubing, was exhilarating. After a few rounds of that on different slides, Ziv found his way over to Rai and Jalin. Jalin was on the swing as Rai pushed her on the swing softly. Jalin quickly jumped off after seeing the twins.
 
"There are my two muffins! Aunty Jalin and your big brother will push you on the swings!"
 
She made a big scene that was quickly drowned out by the continuous laughter and yelling of the children that roamed around.
 
There was a bit of fear that Ziv felt being pushed on the swing. The height and speed increased, but Jalin and Rai must have noticed so they slowed down. It was enjoyable, but Ziv made sure to hang on as best he could.
 
Eventually, lunch time arrived. The girls were led over to Bern. He was at some cooking site with a table. He was grilling different meats and veggies. They took their time eating and enjoying the food. They thanked Bern at the end.
 
 
"Girls come over here and let me put some sunscreen on."
 
That was a new term for Ziv. Regardless he went over to Jalin and she put a cream on the girl's skin. Ziv was questioning what it was as Jalin answered that it was to protect from the sun. He did notice that the sun was shining much brighter now, as the clouds were covering it earlier.
 
Then they played with a frisbee. Passing it to each other out in the field near the park. It was great and Ziv was having a blast. It was the best birthday he ever had, even if it wasn't 'his' own.

On their way home for the day, Ziv was out like a light. Rai was driving, Bern next to him and Jalin and the girls in the back. They had a quiet conversation as they drove.
 
"You think they had fun?"
 
Bern wasn't playing around earlier as he was cooking. Sure they played around, but he was still curious as to what the other two noticed.
 
"Of course they had fun. They must be so tired from all the running around."
 
Hugging them close, Jalin answered back. She was pretty tired herself, so she was nodding off.
 
"They really needed that. Going outside and having fun like a normal kid. I think they… are doing better."
 
Even though Rai was driving, he took a moment to look at his sisters in the back. He noticed that they had been trying to help him rather than asking for help themselves. He wanted to do something for them and their birthday was the perfect excuse to take a day off work and have fun.
 
"I won't be staying the night. I'm going to head home."
 
Bern knew he had a long day of work ahead of him so he thought it was best to leave early for the night. Sure he would have liked to help clean up and take care of Illen and Yyella, but the other two would be alright.
 
"Rai, I'll get them cleaned up and in bed. I got tomorrow off, so I can stay over."
 
"Thank you Jalin. I clean up and head to bed. And Bern, thank you for coming along with us! Your ability to grill still amazes me, thanks man."

Monday came around and three girls sat at a table in a sea of hectic children drawing and reading. Today Korral became more talkative. No, that isn't right. She just stopped being quiet.
 
"…and my mom stopped me from eating more. I'm not dumb."
 
Ziv looked at the girl with both twins this time. At first she talked about her favorite color then she talked about what she did over the weekend, then about the cookies her mother made and now she says she's not dumb.
 
He had been listening, praising multitasking of two brains, to the little girl. The thing that bothered him were the incomplete thoughts and changing the subject at what seemed like random. Not a lot fit, but he tried his best to understand as the people around him were his best sources for everyday information.
 
So he just nodded with Yyella and then Korral continued while looking at Yyella.
 
"I know you said you didn't want to be my friend, but I think you are my friend."
 
'Oh.'
 
Actually Ziv had thought about that this morning. She had been hanging out with the twins and was nice enough to respect his inability to speak. The other kids around had asked a few times this past week, but Korral never did. That was something Ziv didn't realize that he cared about, and now he did.
 
Yyella turned to her and nodded with a nice smile.
 
"That is super duper cool. Um… Illen do you want to be my friend too?"
 
Illen put her book down to give a nod before going back to the book.
 
Ziv has fleshed out the twins and their personalities as to who they should be. Being Illen allows him to somewhat aloof and quiet, so he can read in peace and quiet. Being Yyella allows him to interact with the others and keep them away from Illen. Working together he is able to enjoy what he likes even if he gains attention.

The end of the day arrived and Korral's mother came over to pick her up. The twins were standing next to Korral outside with their backpacks on.
 
'Backpacks are so cool. The outward cosmetic design isn't something I care about, but folding over my shoulder to carry a greater weight than my body is just so useful.'
 
Though at the mention of the twins' names, he looked over to Korral.
 
"Mom can Illen and Yyella come with us to the park on Saturday?"
 
Her mother turns towards Ziv. She looks at him like him with a big smile.
 
"Twins? Look at how cute you two are. My little Korral," She looks back over to her daughter with a motherly look. That is something that Ziv misses. His mother and father…"she's always been a talker. Well, do you two want to come with us?" Ziv nodded with the twins, but more distinctly with each girl. "Once your parents come to pick you up, I'll talk to them about it."
 
'Parents… mom… dad… Hopeless…'
 
"Yyella! Illen! There you two are. Oh, who are you?"
 
Rai looked at Korral's mother.
 
"My name is Heryan and this here is my daughter Korral. Are you the father of these girls?"
 
"…No. I'm their brother. Is there a problem?"
 
"Not at all. My daughter and you sisters have become friends. We were planning to go to the park this weekend and play around. My daughter invited them to come along."
 
"I see."
 
"They are free to join us. I'm sure you're a busy man and we are too." Heryan takes a piece of paper and pen and writes something down. "This is my number. Please pass it along to your parents." She turns towards the twins and her daughter who are a few steps away watching their interaction. "Come on Korral, we have to go pick your brother up now. It was a pleasure to meet you all today."
 
Ziv watched Rai stand there. His hands were tightly balled into fists. His face just showed how much he cared for his parents. For his family.
 
Ziv thought to himself. Maybe it was too early to accept the loss of those around him. He shouldn't be here and he is just an imposter. Someone who doesn't belong and stole the future of the people around him.
 
'Hopeless. Hopeless. Hope…'
 
Rai picked up the girls in a big hug. Ziv noticed that there were tears falling down his face, but he didn't cry. Rai had tears building up in his eyes.

Ziv had distracted himself. He believed that he accepted it and those feelings of doubt would disappear. They stayed. Those feelings never left. He just ran away from them, hoping it would get better.
 
He looked at Rai, as he drove home. Perhaps they were the same. Hiding their feelings and compressing it, until it burst. It was just a leak in the air filtration system and if he didn't find it, the whole thing would have been destroyed. Ziv would have broken again.
 
"I'm sorry."
 
The car came to a quick stop in the road. There were horns blaring behind them. He looked at Rai who just looked back at Ziv with a caring smile. One of a caring family.

This story is about Ziv. A boy who has lived with technology, his parents, and lots of reading material.

After his introduction, I write different ideas and throw Ziv in those situations. I wanted to give myself a place to write random ideas that come to mind. I do have cross overs with my other stories, but most are just self contained.

Some ideas that I have made so far:

The two cross over stories, LoH and EMW.
Ziv has control over two bodies
A time travel story. 
A grid like world.
A one shot based around fighting/combat.
Ziv takes over a body on an injured person - though there is a warning for that chapter. Nothing bad, but there are implications that most people (myself included) find disgusting. I wrote it in good faith though.
Ziv becomes an AI.
A combat Story.

After we were done giving blood Steve and I got into his car.
"You know I am okay with taking my van. You don't have to waste your gas."
"I am perfectly okay with using my car because we don't need you to have a vision while your driving. Besides if we take a smaller vehicle then we will spend less."
"Hahaha I used to believe that, but it never worked out that way."
"So where are we going first? And do we have any ideas about lunch?"
" First of all can the guys pick up more than what you already told them to get. I'm sorry but we need to be ready for this winter. It will be bad and I don't want the last part of the vision to come true. We need to be stocked up on blankets, warmer clothes, shoes lots of shoes, and of course the food, water and candles. Also we are going to need to make sure the generators are in perfect working order. We will need to make sure we have gas and oil for them by October first."
"What is it that you see, this way I know what to be ready for. I don't plan to loose any of my pack but I need a better idea of what is coming for us."
"October 21st is when the blizzard will start. I can't tell if it's in the morning or afternoon. We need to be ready if we are not than I see us loosing at least twenty people including you and my brother. I refuse to allow this to happen so please just get the things I ask done. The children do not deserve to die because the adults are not ready.."
Steve pulls the car onto the shoulder of the road then he comes around to my door. He pulls me out and just holds me. I can't help it I start crying. He holds me till it's over. Then he hands me a tissue. After he makes sure I'm okay he puts me back in the car. Then he gets back in the car. Once he pulls back out on the road he say," Don't worry we will not loose anyone to this storm. Make a list we will get everything on it. Once we get back we will get complete lists of sizes for everyone of the children. I will also tell the adults to start preparing for a bad winter. I know the lazy people will not be prepared but that is no excuse for the children to suffer. Don't worry nothing will happen to your brother."
"I don't want anything to happen to you either. This is going to be bad. The one good thing I get from this vision is that we survived the war that will be here in a month and a half."
"Yea that's true. Okay get to working on the list we con buy in bulk and I will send out a second truck."
"When we get back I still want to check out the full pack grounds. There is something I need to see, I'm just not sure what it is yet."
"That's not a problem. I will show you around myself. Now let's stop thinking doom and gloom and start thinking food. I don't know about you but I'm getting hungry."
" Should we eat first then? I'm getting hungry myself. We are about ten minutes from the mall."
"I tell you what, let's eat here."
As he says this Steve pulls into Applebees. It's only been opened for a few minutes so it's still nice and quite. We get seated right away. The server comes over and take our drink orders while we look at the menus. We both order Dr pepper. When she comes back Steve orders the loaded potato skins and the chicken wings as appetizers and chicken fajitas and I order the steak fajitas for the main dish.
Now the whole time we are ordering the waitress is hitting on Steve. It's funny to watch because she starts out by stroking his shoulder. Then she starts laughing at everything he says. Then she runs her tongue over her lips. Then she starts playing with his hair. The whole time he tries to lean away from her. He asks her to stop a few times. When she asks if there is anything else he says no. She slips her phone number under his hand and tells him," Well if you need me call me." Then she goes to the back of the house.
Once she is gone he gets up and walks away. At first I'm thinking he is going to go call her but then I see him go to the bar. bitty not to watch as he talks to the guy there. The guy leaves, when he comes back he has someone else with him. Steve talks to him for a few minutes then hands him the paper with the phone number on it. He points in my direction and says something else. Then the other gentlemen takes the paper and walks away. Then Steve comes back and sits down. He looks at me and says," I'm sorry about that. But we are getting a new server so that doesn't happen again."
After we get the new server lunch goes much better. The manager comes to the table to make sure everything went well. He also says he took care of the check. We said thank you, left the new waiter a twenty dollar tip then went to the mall.
Once we get to the mall we go strait to Game stop. We go looking around first, Steve decided to pick up four ps4 machines and four ps5 machines. He also gets six switches. Then he gets several games for each machine. I get the ps5 machine and four games I had on hold. Then I pick out four games for my switch and two games that I knew William wanted for his switch. Once we are done paying for things we take it all strait to the car. We put everything away and lock it up. Then we go back to the mall, we head over to the Camping and More store. We wander around in there for a while picking up sleeping bags, lanterns, thermals, blankets, heavy duty flash lights, plenty of batteries, candles, and parkas. Steve sets it up so the boys can pick it up later. Then we go to boxes and Crates. There Steve orders six dozen large storage totes. The manager says they will be ready by four. Steve sets it up so the guys will pick it up then. After that we go to the craft store. I pick out coloring books, paint sets, wood carving kits, jewelry making kits, beads, fabric, yarn, and the smaller items needed for both, as well as other crafting things. Once again Steve arranges to have it picked up later.
Then we go to the toy store and pick up board games, small hand held video games, more coloring books, coloring supplies, and craft kits. Next we go to the book store. We get a variety of books for all ages, as well as comic books, and mangas. I also find a set that I have been looking for for William so I get them. And again Steve has it set up so the guys can pick it up later. Finally we hit the movie store. There we get a variety of movies. We get four complies of everything in the store. Steve sets it up so they can be picked up and we leave the mall. All total we both spent a combines total of 10,976.23. Not bad for everything we got.  It was the games that cost the most.
Once we were back in the car we started on our way home. We talked about our trip then we talked more about the upcoming war and winter.
Once we made it back yo the pack grounds Steve took the machine into the pack house. He put both a ps4 and a ps5 in the game room. He put out half the games and with in ten minutes people were checking out the machines.
He put the other machines and games in his office. He also agreed to hide Williams birthday gifts in his office.
Then we went back downstairs. As we were headed to the kitchen he got a call form one of the drivers. Everything had been successfully picked up and they were on their way back.
Then we went to the kitchen to get something to eat. Steve let Cassie and I know our canning order was on its way home. We were excited, we planned to start canning tomorrow after things were unloaded.
After we ate Steve walked me back to my place. We sat in the front room for a few minutes. I leaned into Steve and he put his arm around me. After sitting like that for a minute Steve said,"Oh I really don't want to move but I am completely exhausted. I need sleep."
I agree with him. We get up and I walk him to the door. He opens it then leans down to kiss me. After a moment I forget I'm tired, I wrap my arms around his neck. I lean into him as he wraps his arms around my waist. Everything is progressing well when I hear Mate, mate, mate in my head. I pull back from Steve and say,"What was that?"
"What's wrong? Did I do something wrong?"
"No, I heard someone yelling mate repeatedly."
He smiles and says," I think you just go your wolf."
"But I don't hear it anymore. Shouldn't my wolf talk to me?"
"I'm not sure but we can ask the doctor tomorrow. You might be to tired tonight to hear her anymore. I will let you go to sleep my love. Good night."
He kisses me one more time then goes back to the pack house. I leave a note telling William I am back and went to bed. And I left his stuff on the table. Then I went to bed.


Her parents were killed, but she promised to protect her brother. After a car accident forces him to live the rest of his life in a wheelchair so has to either step up and be the adult or let him suffer.

    Author


    Might as well get this over and done with now Merryweather has been an avid author and writer of numerous webcomics all the way back in 2012. In fact, he got his start in a Danish convention called Genki where he asked for the help of various artists before finally getting a yes from a future friend named Joakim Waller. As someone who is also aspiring to be a writer, I can relate to his drive and competence in writing multiple stories. In particular to this specific webtoon however it should be known that the artist's name is Mayui who does have a twitter and apparently also likes singing, dancing, and voice acting.


    Summary


    Everyone and their mother seems to be talking about the newest hit game that is sweeping the nation: Magnolia Online. What everyone doesn't tell you is that the game is a hotbed of toxic activity with one certain guild being at the center: Winter Moon. This is the story about how this group of rambunctious rebels made their mark on for better or worse. It may be a game to some but their connections to each other are plenty real, even if they don't always show it.


    Characters


    Florence: In real life, Florence is the son of a wealthy Ceo who refuses to acknowledge his homosexuality. Thus to escape this reality Florence became a pyromaniac that is unforgiving to just about anyone. Though after meeting Risa Florence's righteous and protective qualities come more into the open.


Risa: Growing up as a weak girl that was never taken seriously, Risa is a girl who has always had to fight. In the game, she uses her weakness as a strength to manipulate people out of their money. However, as time goes on she starts to develop her confidence both in and out of her 2 worlds.


Gideon: The only one with actual sense Gideon is Florence's only friend in both the game and real life. His stoic nature and intelligence is pretty much the only reason why the guild is even still alive.


Overview


Even amongst the various artists that Merryweather has worked with, Mayuu is my personal favorite. Her art really does feel like some concept art out of a game and it really shows. The coloring and shading are always excellent as it gives a lot of panel life. Like any story of this genre, Winter Moon shows the highs and lows that come from the game. Cyberbullying, online stalking, harassment, and trickery are all themes that the webtoon explores. But it also shows the wonders of such an online community, because it brought Winter Moon together as friends. Combine all that with the very short chapters and this series is highly binge-able. And while our mc's do come off as unlikeable they do have their moments of levity that make them enjoyable and relatable with their development shining through.


Epilogue


Overall Winter moon is one of the premier webtoons of Merryweather for a reason. It's a story about showing that even the most trivial of activities can have meaning to you. It's a story that shows how judgemental the world really is and how important it is to live freely. As COVID 19 continues the rage I think that message really does ring true. But this is only the first of Merryweahter's great works, stick around as I decided to shine a light on another one.

Just a simple person is trying to shine a little light on the beautiful world of webtoon. With a splash of sarcasm, narration, and spitfire along the way.  And who knows I might have other segments just for the hell of it.
