Although the Little Fairy Doctor felt some doubt in her heart, all she did was  merely nod her head. She softly said, “I will help you buy sufficient time…” 

Xiao Yan gently exhaled when he heard this. He stared at the Old Ground Demon  Ghost before he flapped his wings and slowly withdrew. His heart had also  somewhat rejoiced that he had successfully refined the Sky Bird Nine Flying  Wings before this big battle. Otherwise, he really did not have the confidence  to be able to flee for such a long time under the attacks of the Old Ground  Demon Ghost… 

The eyes of the Old Ground Demon Ghost turned cold when he saw Xiao Yan move  back. He violently swung his sleeves and a dark-black ice awl shot toward Xiao  Yan in a lightning-like manner. 

“Chi!” 

The black-colored ice awl had just been shot out when a dense corrosive  grayish-purple Dou Qi shot over and violently collided with it. The ice awl was  turned into nothingness amid a wave of ‘chi chi’ sound. 

“Your opponent is me…” The Little Fairy Doctor’s tall lovely figure was  suspended in the sky. A breeze blew, causing her long snow-white hair, that  extended to her buttocks, to slowly dance in the wind. Her emotionless eyes  stared at the Old Ground Demon Ghost as she slowly spoke. 

The Old Ground Demon Ghost coldly laughed as he frowned. The then turned to  the Little Fairy Doctor in front of him, “Although I do not know why your  strength has suddenly soared by a certain amount, the current you is at the  very most able to contend with a five star Dou Zong. The old me, on the other  hand, has already long entered the seven star Dou Zong level!” 

“Is that so…” The corner of the Little Fairy Doctor’s mouth carried a slight  non-committal arc. Her long hands were gently extended and dense grayish-purple  Dou Qi followed her sleeves and climbed out. Finally, it lingered around her  hand, squirming a little before transforming into two gray and purple snakes.  The enormous snakes extended their tongues and a vague stench drifted out as  they hissed. 

“Chi!” 

The enormous gray and purple snakes formed from Dou Qi had just appeared when  they hissed at the Old Ground Demon Ghost with great intelligence under the  Little Fairy Doctor’s control. They swung their tails and transformed into two  vague gray lines that rushed toward the Old Ground Demon Ghost in a  lightning-like manner. 

The Old Ground Demon Ghost let out a cold snort as he observed the huge  grayish-purple snakes that came rushing over. He flicked his finger and black,  cold air swiftly flowed in front of him. It immediately transformed into a  couple of sharp ice spikes. It carried a whistling sound as it violently shot  toward the two grayish lines. 

“Chi!” 

The two gray threads, that had shot over in a lightning-like manner, suddenly  paused. Immediately two grayish-purple poison fogs shot out of their savage  mouths. The sharp ice sculpture was swiftly eroded into nothingness. Taking  this opportunity, their speed suddenly increased and they appeared in front of  the Old Ground Demon Ghost within an instant. They widened their large mouths  and two bright-red glows were suddenly shot out! 

The Old Ground Demon Ghost waved his sleeves as his eyes locked onto the  attacks of the two grayish-purple snakes. The cold air flowed in front of him  before eventually turning into a mirror-smooth ice cube that completely blocked  the blood glow. 

“Chi Chi!” 

The blood glow immediately emitted a dense white vapor the moment it made  contact with the ice mirror, swiftly corroding the thick ice mirror at a speed  visible to the naked eye. However, the blood glow also swiftly shrank while the  ice mirror was being corroded, but it completely vanished when it was just  about to completely penetrate the ice mirror… 

Seeing this futile attack, the cold smile on the Old Ground Demon Ghost grew  even denser. The ice mirror in front of him slowly melted and immediately  transformed into a black fog that continued to shrink back into his body. After  which, he clenched his hand and two dark-black clouds agglomerated. They formed  two enormous ghost hands that grabbed the enormous gray and purple snakes. The  hands pinched violently and the snakes burst apart… 

The Little Fairy Doctor’s face not only did not change upon witnessing the  destruction of these two enormous snakes, but had instead revealed a strange  smile in her eyes. Her delicate hand swiftly formed a seal as her gentle voice  said, “My fresh blood is not something good. Next time, you should not stingily  withdraw the Dou Qi that had been contaminated by my blood into your body… 

The expression of the Old Ground Demon Ghost involuntarily changed upon  hearing the Little Fairy Doctor’s words. The corner of his mouth trembled and  cold air surged out of his body in all directions. Although the cold air was  powerful at this moment, there was a little chaos within it… it seemed that the  poison blood that he had absorbed into his body had already begun to take  effect. 

“It is unexpected that even your blood contains poison. Moreover, the poison  within it is so potent. However, this is useless against me!” A dark and solemn  voice was slowly transmitted from the Old Ground Demon Ghost’s mouth. At this  moment, the surface of his body was covered by a black-colored ice crystal. One  could see some bright-red colors within these ice crystals. From the looks of  it, he was relying on his powerful Dou Qi to forcefully expel the poison blood  from his body. 

The Little Fairy Doctor was not surprised at seeing that the Old Ground Demon  Ghost was actually able to gradually force out the poison blood. He  needed to divide his strength in order to force out the poison blood in his  body. Hence, he was unable to rely on his pressuring strength to defeat the  Little Fairy Doctor. For a moment, he was actually being firmly pestered by the  Little Fairy Doctor… 

The Old Ground Demon Ghost’s eyes would occasionally drift to where Xiao Yan  was located while he was being pestered by the Little Fairy Doctor. The ghost  flame in his eyes leaped slightly when he saw a green and an invisible flame  suspended in front of the latter. He had already heard from Han Feng that Xiao  Yan was in control of a ‘Heavenly Flame’ Dou Technique. This thing was his  skill to protect his life. Its strength was extremely frightening. However, the  Old Ground Demon Ghost had let out a little sigh of relief after sensing it  personally. The merger of the two kinds of ‘Heavenly Flames’ did indeed  possessed an extremely powerful and violent energy. However, it was not able to  pose much of a risk with only two. After all, the strength of a seven star Dou  Zong was not a joke… 

Xiao Yan stood in the air at a spot in the sky not far above the battleground  between the Little Fairy Doctor and the Old Ground Demon Ghost. He gently  flapped the bone wings on his back. Each time, the flapping would be  accompanied by a thunderous sound. 

At this moment, a green flame and an invisible flame were suspended in his  hand. The flame was faintly emitting a warmth, causing the atmospheres  temperature raise over ten times as much as it was before. The ‘Angry Buddha  Lotus Flame’ from the merger of two kinds of ‘Heavenly Flames’ actually did not  possess much of a threat toward an expert like the Old Ground Demon Ghost… 

Xiao Yan gently exhaled. The white fire seal between his brows emitted a faint  temperature. A dense white-colored flame slowly drifted out before landing in  front of him. At this moment, he could only rely on teacher’s ‘Bone Chilling  Flame’… 

The natural energy of the area immediately became somewhat chaotic following  the appearance of the Bone Chilling Flame. The Old Ground Demon Ghost clenched his hand suddenly as this thought flashed  through his heart. His eyes popped out like a dead fish’s eyes and the cold air  within his body grew even denser. A moment later, he suddenly widened his mouth  and a bright-red ice cube shot out of it. 

The ice cube contained some slowly moving viscous blood within it. When it  burst apart, the liquid blood completely solidified before finally cracking  apart, turning into nothingness. 

The face of the Little Fairy Doctor changed when she saw that the poison blood  had been forced from the Old Ground Demon Ghost’s body this quickly. Before she  had the chance to withdraw, an extremely frightening fist of wind suddenly  arrived. All she could do, since she was unable to dodge in time, was to  forcefully receive it. 

“Grug!” 

The frightening force spread out in a flood-like manner from the point of  contact. A paleness immediately surfaced on the Little Fairy Doctor’s pretty  face before she involuntarily spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. Her body also  ended up swiftly withdrawing by a couple of steps. 

Seeing the fresh blood that came pouncing at him, the Old Ground Demon Ghost,  who had suffered once, hurriedly waved his sleeves. Cold air was spat out and  solidified the blood into ice crystals before they could make contact with his  body. After which, all of them burst apart. 

“Your strength is unable to block the old me! I will give you one last chance.  The old me will not kill you if you turn around and leave!” The Old Ground  Demon Ghost coldly smiled and negotiated with the Little Fairy Doctor. 

The Little Fairy Doctor wiped off the blood trace on the corner of her mouth.  Her face was icy-cold. Without replying, her body flashed and she once again  rushed forward. 

“You’re seeking death!” 

A killing intent surged within the eyes of the Old Ground Demon Ghost when he  saw the Little Fairy Doctor persistently attack him to keep him occupied. After  which, he met her with killing intent all over his body. Frightening energy  ripples formed when the two figures met as a thunder-like explosion immediately  sounded in the sky. 

The three colored fire lotus in Xiao Yan’s hand was finally forming in the  sky. His eyes began to flicker as he watched this fire lotus form. An ‘Angry  Buddha Lotus Flame’ that was formed from the merger of three kinds of ‘Heavenly  Flame’ was basically the strongest energy that Xiao Yan could control. He was  always filled with confidence when facing an opponent. However, he had become a  little uncertain this time around. This was because his enemy today was far too  troublesome. A seven star Dou Zong was considered an expert on the upper level  of the golden pagoda across the entire Dou Qi continent. The current Old Ground  Demon Ghost was even stronger than Protector Wu after he had swallowed Yun  Shan’s soul back then… 

The three colored ‘Angry Buddha Lotus Flame’ was Xiao Yan’s trump card. With  his current strength, he was only able to use it once before he fell into a  weary state. In other words, he only had one chance. Moreover, the Old Ground Demon Ghost was a full three stars stronger  than her… 

Xiao Yan’s face twitched slightly when he looked at the Little Fairy Doctor,  who had spat out blood, and the Old Ground Demon Ghost, who was smiling  ferociously. A craziness gradually surged into his dark-black eyes. He inhaled  a deep breath, opened his mouth slowly and a grayish-brown flame drifted out  slowly… 

This cluster of flame was the ‘Life Transforming Flame’ that Xiao Yan had  snatched from Fang Yan and the other two back then. The funny thing was, all of their gazes were fixed on that tiny incense that Justice was holding, even as they surrounded him!
On the ground, within the grass, the number of snakes gradually congregated, forming a huge circle around Justice. They did not launch their attacks immediately, probably out of fear from Justice's intimidation, but it did not stop them from hissing. The "Ssss" sound that was emitted made one's ears numb just listening to it. From afar came more rustling sounds, coming closer and closer, as though the entire population of snakes was approaching.
"That darned brat! So it turns out that the incense was made using the Pistil of Serpent's Spit! It is just that he managed to remove the fishiness from it!" Justice cursed. As a medicinal master himself, he was aware that he had been duped once again by Ling Tian! The incense he was holding in his hands was made from the unique herb named 'Pistil of Serpent's Spit'. The particular herb could only grow after being doused with the spit of hundreds of thousands of venomous snakes, and was extremely scarce in number. Especially if it was turned into a scent, it had the miraculous property of attracting all kinds of poisonous snakes. A small snake also dares to offend me? Justice paid it no attention, rather finding this scene amusing as he lightly stretched out his hand, grasping the end of the snake and flinging it aside. His actions were carefree and easy, yet the snake was as dead as it could be!
However, with one brave soul pioneering the way, various sounds of wind breaking the silence could be heard as the air above him suddenly seemed like it was raining. It was a rain of snakes!
The snakes on the floor began their assault as well! Wriggling forward, their speed was frightening to behold! If Ling Tian was still present, he would sigh in amazement. This was the so-called land-air joint operation! One group attacks while one retreats, with wave after wave of attacks. This was truly a seamless coordination!
That being said, there will always exist a way to break out of a trap! Just relying on these little snakes to stop me would be childish! Justice suddenly let out a long shout, and with a bright flash, his sword left the sheath! Since he could not catch up to Ling Tian, then the snakes present became the venting point for Justice! Ray after ray of splendid lights flashed past, causing the sky to brighten in response and the ground to increase with another snake's corpse. The lush grass was flattened by the dead snakes, with every snake being chopped into over 10 pieces!
Justice then carefully extinguished the incense he held. This Pistil of Serpent's Spit was a good thing, and so he kept it in his pocket. With another shout, his sword drew a full circle, cutting the rest of the snakes down! Nary a moment had passed since the snakes started to attack, but the bodies of the snakes were already piled up like a mountain, not a single one left alive!
From far off, a hint of bright light could be seen. It was the fringe of the forest! Justice had carefully tracked Ling Tian, and the surprising thing was that he found it simple to spot traces of Ling Tian, as though he had purposefully left those clues for him! This only made him have 120% cautiousness as he proceeded!
With the deviousness of that child, why would he leave traces? There was something chasing to kill him, so why would he be so foolish? Was there any reason to do this?
When he finally came to the end of the forest, Justice let out a sigh of relief. While he did not want to admit it, but in the jungle, Ling Tian's expertise was way above his! Right now, he had already decided that if Ling Tian were to continue playing hide and seek in the jungle, he would rather burn down the whole jungle than to follow him in once again! While he was not afraid of any ambushes, to be constantly played by Ling Tian wasn't anything nice either!

Justice immediately knew that it would not be anything nice, and was reluctant to go over, but this involved the tracks of Ling Tian! After sighing once again, he strolled over. However, seeing the line of words on the tree, he bellowed angrily and smashed a palm of the tree, splintering the entire tree apart!
"There is Justice in life, and there is Justice in death. Samsara cannot escape from Justice, and snakes also face Justice! To serve Justice to all, impressive, truly impressive! ;)" This was what Ling Tian had carved on the tree, and there was even a teasing smiley face drawn at the bottom!!!
Ever since he accepted the bet and left Sky Bearing, Justice had never once met up with Ling Tian even once! Bands of five-colored rainbows extended in this place, illuminating the tranquil and dark area shortly, making it beautifully bright. Layers of lights blended together into a scene as beautiful as a fairyland.
Zi Yao wore a long, rosy dress, sitting upright on the precious crystal throne while looking far into the distance.
After a long, long time, Devour came with Edgar in the form of a shadow. He stopped by the rainbow band and looked at Zi Yao while speaking coldly. "Do you really want to stop me?"
Zi Yao was surprised. "If it's not to stop you, why would I have to arrange such a great formation? What's interesting in doing that?"
"I heard that you're called Zi Yao now. It's ridiculous that the soul clone could swallow the host soul," Devour smirked coldly. "It's a big joke for everybody that a soul clone could seize the control of an Absolute Beginning body."
"Haha," Zi Yao didn't quarrel with him, sniggering. "Your Devouring Power Upanishad Origin's right behind my back. If you want to get it, you have to pass my challenge."
"Where's he?" Devour looked around.
"I'm here," Shi Yan's voice arose from a band of bright gold light. Afterward, his clone showed up right in front of Devour. "What do you want to find me for?"
Seeing Shi Yan, both Devour and Edgar were startled.
Devour scrutinized Shi Yan for a while, then exhaled discreetly, "Just a clone...Yeah, I know it. If your body was here, you would have obtained the Devouring Power Upanishad Origin right away. You wouldn't just stand here and babble with me…"
Then, Devour moved toward the sky filled with lights.

The five-colored light cage shook hard while Zi Yao's gorgeous face slowly changed amidst the shooting lights. At that moment, a purple light abruptly burst off.
Boom!
The twelve heavenly snakes appeared with Zi Yao sitting on a snakehead, smiling brightly and charmingly. "Seems like you got some major harvests in the Empty Land and Sea of Annihilation. You've recovered by 80%...You're too annoying!"
The massive snakes crawled around the empty space as electric rainbows weaved together, filling the entire place while creating a sea of divine light. The holy, pure energy expanded torrentially, attempting to cover Devour's real body entirely.
Devour roared, causing eight gory islands similar to Shi Yan's Power Upanishad to rise above his head. The devouring black hole emerged in the middle of the circle created by the eight evil islands while an evil, dark, and cold energy emitted out, dyeing the entire world blood red.
The blood bridges that connected the eight islands to the black hole were built, and the islands and the black hole became one. "What is a boy?" A quiet voice says as a pair of green eyes look Jess right in the eyes.
"Hmmm.... well... Boys are humans who have a lot of hair, and no meat on their chest. They are flat chested humans, though some, no, most of them can be quite rude" Jess responds after some thinking. 'Better off not let them know. Who knows how they would act if the find out I told her.

She has strangely enough, pink hair and green eyes. Her hair is like a sheep as it stands in different ways all around her head. She cries as she pulls Jess by the arm to join her friends. Most of them are also between the ages of seven to ten, and of course they are all girls. "Sure, let's play" Jess smiles wryly as the girl is just to exited and energetic to turn down. She was sure she won't take no for an answer. 
"Bibi, it seems Naga has caught another one..." A short red headed girl mutters as she pulls the girl beside her at the skirt. The girl seems to be around seven years old and, wears a green skirt/cloth and seems a bit shy as she hides behind the girl called Bibi. Her hair is a bit short and makes her look like a little boy. But her face is feminine enough to be sure she is a girl. 
"Maya, don't hide behind me, if Naga sees you hide she will give you more work than before" The taller girl that stands before Maya is a blond haired girl, who seems to be around nine years old. Her eyes are the same color at those of Maya, blue. Her hair reaches her back and she also wears a green cloth/skirt. 
"Hey, I'm Jess, nice to meet you girls. Now, where will we play hide and seek?" Jess smiles as she tries to make the girl named Maya more comfortable. Maya seems to be a bit hesitant, but still takes a step forward. "h-h-hi... I'm Maya... a-a pleasure to-to.. meet you" She stutters as she gives a small smile.

"A godly talent indeed!" The king nodded his head. His deep, mysterious eyes stared at Su Mo as though they could see Su Mo's true powers.
As he stared at the light shining off from Su Mo's body, the king fell silent. What kind of a special body constitution was that?
However, he wasn't too concerned over Su Mo's special body constitution. After all, they were so many special body constitutions and new types would occasionally appear.
The king had never seen Su Mo's special body constitution before and he wasn't able to discern what it was.
However, no matter what, Su Mo was the most talented individual in the Imperial Ancestor Court Faction. That was an indisputable fact.
"Zhu Tong, that is all you are!"
On the Dragon Pillar platform, Su Mo stared at Zhu Tong and a cold smile played on his eyes.
Although Zhu Tong had a high cultivation rank, his power wasn't too impressive. Among martial artists in the Rank 9 Martial Honorable Realm, Zhu Tong could be considered to be a strong individual. However, he was far too weak compared to a genius.
"Your strength doesn't seem to be that much higher than mine anyway!" Zhu Tong glowered with a dark face. It seemed that he had to use his Fighting Soul and his hidden card later.
Otherwise, he would lose to Su Mo.
"I will give you 3 blows and then it will be my turn!"
Su Mo raised the stone sword in his hand and a dazzling, three-colored Sword Qi shot to the sky. Sword Radiance spurted out of the stone sword and instantly stretched over a few thousand feet.
"You are giving me 3 blows?"
Zhu Tong scoffed and sneered, "What a joke, I attack and you defend. What's the point of saying that to me?"
The crowd was also stunned. Su Mo's words were really arrogant!
However, for such a godly talent, he did have the right to be arrogant.
"I hope you have the strength to take my 3 blows!" Su Mo lightly said. With that, he heavily struck down with his stone sword. 


Su Mo went from the pride of his clan to becoming the butt end of a joke in a matter of minutes. The former King of Mercenaries from Earth was reborn in the body of a boy in a foreign world and had used skills in his previous life to rise to the top among his peers, however, his previous training could only take him so far. The next step in this martial arts dominated world was to awaken one’s Martial Soul.
The awakening ceremony ends in disaster for Su Mo as he awoke a Martial Soul of the lowest level. Such a prodigy is now considered worse than useless as his Martial Soul is far too weak! After becoming the embarrassment of the clan, he discovers that his Martial Soul has a unique property: it could level up! This unique martial soul could shake the heavens. 
It was at this time that Su Mo meets the love of his life but the situation quickly deteriorates when she is taken by one of the most powerful forces in the world. Su Mo must rise from the lowest of the low and reach the pinnacle of power in order to save the love of his live within five years or she will forever be out of his reach.


Lucan cast a spell through Adrestia, then once again. A shadow tunnel took form, connecting the surface to the underground.
"I am sorry everyone. I have found what I was searching for. I won't be able to continue filming the movie with you right now." He said before disappearing through a shadow gate.
Lucan stood before a set of large iron doors. It may have been pitch black underground. But with the help of Mentas's eye, he was able to see with no problem. Walking forward, the warlock pushed the doors opened and entered.
[You have entered a resource dungeon]
[Defeat enemies to receive items]
[You are a dungeon master and have the right to attempt to conquer this dungeon. Would you like to attempt taking over this dungeon?]
Lucan selected yes.
[Dungeon difficulty temporarily increased]
[Defeat every enemy within two hours to claim the dungeon as your own]
The level of the dungeon rose. Originally, the creatures were around level one hundred, but since Lucan was trying to take over this place, their levels rose to match his.
Taking a look around, A large underground lake took up most of the area. A beach circled around the entire area. Hanging from the stalactites above was a glowing moss that gently lit the cavern in a pale light.
Lucan heard a shifting noise to his side and felt a tickle from his danger sense. He jumped backwards as a snake struck where he had been previously standing.
The scaley creature quickly turned and locked onto the warlock. The snake struck again.
The black short sword appeared in Lucan's hand. He deflected the snakes attack and followed up with another strike, cutting into the poisonous creature.
A telekinetic hand began to float where Lucan's left hand should have been. It connected to his arm through an illusion. He passed the sowrd to his left hand and drew a wand.
Lucan unleashed a flurry of real, and telekinetic, slashes toward the snake. When it would try to lunge and bit him, Lucan would turn into a shadow with shadow form and let the snake pass through him. It wasn't long before the snake lost its head and lay motionless on the ground.
The snake disappeared, leaving behind a small piece of ore. Lucan picked it up to take a closer look.
[You have obtained Seatirte Ore.]
He scanned over the light blue colored stone but found nothing remarkable about it. Lucan didn't have time to study the ore dropped, he put it into his bag and got ready. In the distance, he could see two snakes slither out of the underground lake and head his way.
Lucan decided to act first. He summoned four different Phantom Rogues. The two snakes didn't bother to even look at the illusions. It was withing his expectations. The cavern was fairly dark and snakes were know to hunt through a sort of heat vision. Phantoms obviously wouldn't be giving off any heat.
They were practically invisible when they launched their joint attack against the snakes. Lucan joined them.
Five swords cut through the air. Both snakes took damage, but the only target in their eyes was Lucan. The snakes hissed before lunging and trying to sink their teeth into his flesh. It wasn't easy for them.
Lucan turned into a shadow and they passed straight through him. Turning solid again, a flash bang exploded at the end of his wand. The bright light caused the two snakes to double over in pain. The bright light was something they had never seen before. These snakes had never left the cave and had never seen the light of day. A sunset would blind them, yet instead they encountered a much brighter light.
As the two snakes were writhing on the ground, Lucan and his phantoms stepped forward to finish the fight.
When both their bodies disappeared, Lucan picked up a bit more seatrite and put it in his bag.
One snake was easy, two was manageable. If the amount of snakes kept doubling he would be in trouble. Defeating four was possible, but eight was unlikely. Killing off sixteen of those snakes at the same time… wasn't possible. At least not without a tremendous amount of luck.
Lucan heard something slither out of the placid lake water. It sounded much bigger than the previous snake.
He looked to see what was coming. Slither across the ground was a pale skinned min with the lower body of a snake. In his hands, he held a trident. He opened his mouth and spoke while pointing his weapon at the warlock.
"Alkhjf oihf wfbio lmbc." Said the snake man.
Lucan couldn't understand what he said, it was a language he had never heard before. He considered connecting to the creatures mind to speak telepathically and try and find out what it is trying to say, but his current task was to defeat everything in the dungeon. He needed to clear it out to make way for his own design.
It was easy to tell that the snake man was angry. In Lucan's mind, the snake man was cursing at him. If he knew the language of the snake people, he could in fact confirm that the snake man was cursing at him.
When the snake man spoke and didn't receive a response again, he gave up communication and lunged towards Lucan, thrusting out his trident at an incredible speed. The weapon came so fast that Lucan was barely able to turn to shadows quick enough to avoid the attack. He was barely nicked before his figure lost his physical form.
Returning back to flesh and blood from shadows, he received a piece of disheartening news.
[You have been poisoned]
Lucan instantly felt slower and more sluggish.
He raised his wand and unleashed another flash bang. But it would seem that the snake man had watched the previous fights and was ready for it. He may have temporarily lost a bit of his hearing, but the snake man had his eyes covered before the spell took effect.
Even if he didn't blind the snake man, at least the creature stopped its attack and covered its eyes. Lucan used the opportunity to act.
Shadow bolts and telekinetic slashes quickly attacked the snake man's fleshing upper body. His lower half may have been that of a snake and covered in thick scales, but his upper body was made from skin.
The shadow bolts did decent damage but the telekinetic slashes seemed worthless. No mater where they were aim, when they were about to hit the creature, a set of scales roamed across his body like a shield and moved to intercept the slashes.
Lucan was confused as to why the moving scales would block the telekinetic slashes but not the shadow bolts.
Even if he had the time to find out why, the snake man wasn't going to just stand their and let him experiment.
In a burst of rage, the creature slapped its large tail against the ground and pounced towards Lucan.
With his time limit on Shadow form almost running out, he decided to cast ethereal step.
[Leaving the dungeon is an automatic loss. After experiencing three losses in the same dungeon you will no longer be able to conquer that dungeon.]
"Damn it!" Lucan cursed.
Out of time to react, he had no choice but to take the hit.
The three prongs of the trident plunged into his thigh while the snake man open his arms and tackled Lucan to the ground.
Very quickly, the creatures tail began to wrap around his legs. When the snake began to constrict he was unable to move around.
Using the last few seconds of his shadow form, he escaped the creatures grasp and appeared overhead.
A phantom fighter appeared next to Lucan.The creatures eyes quickly darted to the illusion. It would seem that the creatures heat vision was nowhere near as capable as a real snake.
As the creature got its tail back under its body, the phantom fighter went forward to bully it.
While the phantom fighter bought time and unleashed its telekinetic slams Lucan was able to finish casting soulfire.
The green beam of energy locked on to the snake man and cut his speed in half.
Its slower speed and the phantom fighter kept the snake away from him. Lucan pulled out the poison covered trident from his thigh and tossed it away. The poison flowing through his veins had increased to the point where the warlock could barely move.
When the phantom fighter used up the last of its telekinetic slams Lucan disconnected the soulfire being and launched the soulfire bomb.
*Bang*
The explosion roared, the cavern shook and the only sign that the snake man existed was the sample piece of seatrite laying on the ground.
At that time, three snake men left the water together, trident in hand, and went towards Lucan. The warlock cursed to himself, things weren't going to be easy.


His life changes when he discovers a unique magic and suddenly becomes a direct subordinate of a false god in a popular VRMMO. He becomes one of the few who can sell warlock spells and abilities to other players and NPCs. With a territory to rule he has to constantly get stronger and develop his own strength if he wants to stay on top.

This is a VRMMO story about a warlock who makes a place for himself in a virtual world by becoming an "arms dealer". Ever since that fateful day, the Water Snake King led a terrible life; he was critically wounded by a monster of immense proportions, forcing him to flee to the depths of the ocean for survival. Luckily, the creature didn't seem intent on chasing him, so he had managed to escape with his life, but never did he forget that creature, or rather, the very faces of those humans who caused it to meet that fate.
As such, ever since that day, he had retreated back to its native tribe, allying with its brothers to face any dangers with a confident and unbridled manner.
After scouring the oceans for weeks, hoping to find those pests, he had all but given up hope, focusing his attention on the mysterious tree that popped up on the central continent. However, never did he imagine that while traveling on the route, he would encounter them here.
Looking at the cheeky expressions of Joe, Rick, and the others before him, the Water Snake King was enraged; his body erupted in his terrifying water mana, startling his brothers.
"Brother, are these those humans you mentioned before?" Another of the large water snakes asked as he glared at Evan's party.
The other giant snake also looked over with a cruel expression on its face, the Water Snake King seemed to have regained his calm, but he still glared at the tiny human's below them and replied, "That's right, I didn't think we'd find them here, it looks like they're headed to the tree of all things, hmph! Foolish, today, none of them will leave here alive!"
The other giant water snakes seemed to have agreed to his statement as their large golden eyes shone in a bright ray as they spoke in resonant voices.
"Of course, no one dares to provoke us Water Snake Brothers and live to tell the tale! Children, prepare to attack!"
As if influenced by these words, the dozens of Indigenous Water Snakes that surrounded the ship roared in unison as they swept forward like a raging tide, stirring the oceans as they assaulted Evan's party.
"Hmph! Too slow, I'll get rid of those pests first..." Rick said as his body emanated his blue-colored battle energy. He also had a different set of equipment types that had drastically increased his stats once again, not to mention his new spear, which was a dazzling cyan color.

Evan stared at the spear with interest as he thought, 'Oh, so that's his Blue Python Spear; looks like he must have spent quite a lot of his MTP's to get it.'
While Evan observed with interest, Rick's body revolved his battle energy as he leaped from the ship towards the ocean.
A few of the other nearer Indigenous Water Snakes noticed Rick's movements; their golden eyes shone as they utilized their innate skill to control the water around them. Instantly, they fired thin concentrated shots countless times more potent than a high-powered pressure gun.
As the water streams bolted towards Rick, he merely snorted as his figure blurred before turning in what was similar to a ray of blue light that danced around the water streams. Soon after, he had skirted around on the ocean, flashing left and right as if dancing around each of the Indigenous Water Snakes.
The two giant water snakes had looks of alarm on their faces as they could only barely see Rick, but as for the Water Snake King, his face showed an even more shocked look.
"What? That human, he's stronger now. Darn, this cannot continue. Otherwise, he'll kill them all. Brother's we must—" The Water Snake King wanted to warn his brothers, but it seemed he was a bit late.
Moments later, Rick appeared at the center of all water snakes, who only just stopped firing their water streams. The water snakes roared with enraged expressions as they opened their mouths, conjuring what seemed like toxic energies.
However, before they could even release this next attack, their bodies soon started to show dozens of large holes, each spewing out a large chunk of blood.
The water snakes looked panicked and wanted to escape, but their fate had already met its end; the light in their eyes dimmed before they flopped over and descended into the raging ocean.
Looking at all of their kins that perished, the two giant water snake brothers had darkened expressions on their faces as their anger exploded.
"You cursed human, how dare you kill our kins? Prepare to die!" One of the water snake brothers said as his towering figure erupted with his full energies, scattering high waves about the area.
"Let's kill them all with one attack!" The other brother yelled as he two prepared to unleash hell.
The Water Snake King was a bit hesitant, even more so when he saw Joe's casual demeanor and the others on the ship. Sadly, he knew it was too late to persuade them. Right now, he could only join in and hope for the best outcome.
'Hmph! Even if they've gotten stronger, it doesn't mean that they can easily survive the combined might of our attack!'
The Water Snake King thought as he opened his giant mouth and quickly collected a ball of toxic energies. Much like himself, the other brothers performed the same move; it seemed that they weren't going to give Rick, nor those on the ship, even the tiniest chance of survival.
In this instance, the sky on this part of the X Space darkened, almost as if their energies from the three brothers had changed the weather.
Evan looked at this with interest, not showing any signs of movement, but Joe merely clicked his teeth and spoke, "Che! I knew I'd have to step in; this guy should have just killed them all in one go."
Hearing Joe's words, Rick snorted from a distance but said nothing; he didn't strike because he knew that if things got rough, there would likely be a scene with one of them escaping. However, now that they were all preparing for such an attack, they wouldn't escape separately.
'I can now kill them in one blow…' Rick thought as his arm glowed in a dazzling light that centered around the tip of the spear as he stood atop the ocean.
On the deck of the ship, Joe now faced the direction of the massive water snake brothers with his arc shield raised, ready to take on the full brunt.
As if provoked by Joe's and Rick's manner, the three brothers roared at the same time as they unleashed their terrifying attacks, "Arrogant humans, die to our Poisonous Smog!"
The oceans shook as a toxic energy blast fired towards the ship from their mouths with their shouts. They joined into a combined attack that encompassed all within the area, aiming to put an end to all things. 


It is the year 2050 of the Earth Calendar, and while many would think it to be an ordinary year, it is far from what one would expect. With the arrival of Rifts popping up all over the world, portals that came to be known as Ascenders Rifts, a new era is born. Though filled with endless possibilities, the world itself is on a path of destruction.
