Tetapi setelah enam tahun berada di Elphida, Xelia Nerva tiba tiba kembali ke dunia asalnya untuk menyelesaikan semua masalahnya sendiri dan mencari keluarga serta kawan yang dia tinggalkan.

This woman was warm and looked similar to Mother, but she made his skin prickle with uncertainty. Tears began to gather in his eyes and he whimpered loudly, preparing to go into full defensive with audio warfare level screams. However a familiar growl caught his ears. 

"You have been warned, don't make me put you in your place, Mother." Kendrick growled as he walked into the space. His tiger coat glistened in the sunlight and Akira pulled back realizing she had been caught. Frustration raked through her senses.  

"What right does she have to forbid me from seeing my grandson? He is my blood!" Demanded Akira glaring at her son as Bryson straightened the allure  of Fantasy's eyes broken by the spirit like neither or mother or father. 

"He is her son, Akira." Bryson pointed out and Akira turned on him. The gentle coaxing and the warmth of Fantasy was no longer present in her eyes. Instead they burned with anger as though he was her greatest enemy. Her true colors revealed for her father to see.

"Just as I was your daughter? You let that brute sell me to the shadows of death and then banish me after he couldn't turn a profit." The accusations flew from her lips and cut deep into Bryson's heart. He hated himself for being too weak to protect her, and to protect Fantasy. 

"I did what was best for you then. These halls were not safe for you." Bryson replied forcing back his self hate. The forgiveness her words previously gifted him with was crushed to powder and burned to ash as she flung these words at him. 

"You did what was best for you. Don't lie to me." Growled Akira as her claws grew from her nails. She wanted to maim him, perhaps it would be enough to distract Kendrick and make off with her Grandson. Her child. 

"I see. So what you did to protect us, the excuse you used to explain leaving me and my brothers is true. Yet when the same is said to you it's a lie?" Kyera asked as she walked down the steps in purposeful strides. The Storm Twins landed at the raise of her hand. Suddenly Akora was far outnumbered. 

"You are being unreasonable. I want to meet my grandson." Demanded Akira and Kyera took the baby, nestling him in the fur and leather sling now wrapped and tied over her arm and across her chest. He was comfortable and safe now in his Mother's care. 

"I have told you what must be done for you to meet him. I will not have the Mother who abandoned me me my son before the Father who protected us through the pregnancy." Kyera replied as she approached Ivory who bowed her neck for Kyera to use the spines of her neck to climb up, onto the Dragon's back. 

"I can not believe you will force me to my death." Akira screamed at her daughter as Bryson mounted Iric. Kyera looked down at her mother, her eyes steely cold like frozen gold. 

"I am asking you to enter a temple to speak at an alter. That will not kill you, merely be uncomfortable. However you try and touch my son again and I will send you to Moria with my own hands. Promise or no promise." Kyera's voice made those threatening words a promise. She had done as her brother's asked this far, but Gale and Raina were her bottom line. She apologized to their memory in her heart. The problem was… she knew she would do it. 

"You…" but the rest of her words were lost in the wind from the Storm Twin's wings. Neither cared to listen to her arguments as they took to the air, flying in circles, waiting for Iric to join her.

What did he mean by that, well he had a timer in the right side of his vision, not on the computer or his phone but his vision.
Again, if he where to tell someone they would definitely think he was on drugs, but he was not, if it where last year after a heavy clubbing session he might have agreed, but let's not talk about anything else he hasn't had a speck of alcohol for the last 4 months or so, he hasn't even been out of his house for that long, not because he was a shut in, but because he didn't have any place he could go to, everywhere was closed.
He didn't care though, it turned out that this would be a blessing in disguise for him.
4 months ago, his gaming friends recommend to him to read some books, and because of the interests they had, most books had, in fact, something in common.
In one way or another they included a leveling system of some sort.
It was that mighty system, the one witch sometimes looked like an ordinary RPG with EXP and levels, other times it was ripped straight of from D&D, or the many cultivation levels, lets not forget about those.

And yes, you  guessed it, he was the proud owner of one, as for how or why he was chosen for that, he didn't care much, he was a firm believer in living for the moment, if there was something that he had to worry about, he would do so when the right time came, for now, he was too engrossed in his fantasy about his great adventures and glory he will achieve in the future.
Because of his 13 years of experience in the gaming industry and his last 4 months of full immersion in reading the cream of the crop in regards of system books, he was  confident that he would do good no matter the adversity that will come his way.
This morning, whell if he were to be honest it was not quite morning when he woke up it was already more then half 10 when he woke up he was still basking in the afterglow of finishing the 14th volume of Overlord last night which in his opinion, was one of the best novel series he read so far, he hurried to his computer to find his next read. 
This had already become his routine every time he finished a book he will go through his recommendation list or browse around on the Internet for a couple of hours, go through the first chapter of about 10 books and pick one off them to read and maybe bookmark a few others if something was interesting enough.
Just when he was about to meet his quota for today after reading the synopsis of 9th book of the day, "The only system you need", because he thought it was pretty interesting, if a bit odd, he decided to click on it to read more.
All of a sudden everything went dark, after a few moments a bright white message appeared in front of him.
[Congratulations, your application has passed through and you have been selected for the post of Junior System Administrator. You will start training in 24h and it will take 14 days, you will not be able to return before that so prepare yourself, more information will be provided after the start of your training.]

After a few moments his computer appeared back in his front him, everything went back to normal.
He was shocked.
'What the hell was that,maybe I am to tired'
It wasn't like he was stupid, even he could not believe it, in the first place that looked more like he would start a new job, not the typical message his fellow "Players" would receive at the start of their adventure.

Deciding that he needed some rest even if it was only his imagination, 2 weeks off from work didn't sound that bad, he called his boss and told him that he needed some time off, he received a positive answer  then he picked an audio book on his phone to listen before falling asleep.
What made him realise that this was in fact true and he was not going crazy, was the text that appeared in front of him.

Charlie thought that he was the luckiest man alive when he stumbled upon a system like all the great heroes he read about before, he thought he is going to spread his wings and cover the whole world.
He was right, but not quite in the same way he had imagined.

Dusk stared at the bright sun above. He took a handkerchief out of his pocket and wiped at the sweat that was dripping down his forehead. 'Time to go buy a new spatial pouch… Maybe I should buy a spatial ring instead, that way I won't lose it in a battle like that again. Fuck, I seriously lost all of those potions that were in the pouch, all of my gold will just be used up on restocking.'
 
"For fucks sake Joan, you do this every single time. I should seriously cut you off," Dusk mumbled. He sped his way through the large streets of Chasm, moving through multiple portals which allowed him to traverse great distances within the school. The academy itself was the size of a small city, housing more than ten thousand people, students and staff included. Soon he reached the shop he'd been looking for. Upon opening the door to the nearest store on campus that sold magical equipment, a bell rang loud.
 
"Oh Dusk, nice of you to come here again," a boy said. The boy was similar to Dusk in both age and height, both being sixteen. Dusk slowly made his way through the spacious shop, reaching the boy who was behind a counter.
 
"Gerald, you still work here? I thought you were able to pay off your debt to Liz," Dusk said. He scratched his chin as he observed the weak looking boy.
 
"Haha it's a funny story," Gerald said with an awkward smile. "Anyways, how can I help you today?" he asked. The boy rested his pale arms on the glass counter he was behind. Accessories of all sorts were visible beneath the glass, necklaces, rings, earrings and even anklets.
 
'So many magical items… If I stole the stuff in just that counter I'd be rich.'
 
"I need a new spatial object. Preferably a ring or something I can wear more easily than a spatial pouch. Oh and make sure it isn't to pricey," Dusk said. He edged closer to Gerald and whispered into his ears, "Let me guess, you tried to steal from Liz again. Dumbass."
 
"I-" Gerald gasped. His white cheeks became tinted red as he took in a deep breath. His head slumped down as he replied, "Y-Yea."
 
"Pfft, seriously why have you caught an obsession with one of the worst girls in our year group. Anyway, what have you got for me?" Dusk said.
 
"The cheapest accessory that also acts as a spatial storage that I can sell you here is for 30 gold pieces. It's a bronze ring, and has a pretty limited capacity. But it is really cheap, at least the second best would cost you 45 gold, which would be a silver ring instead with a greater storage amount."
 
'Hmm, I guess I have no choice.' Dusk rubbed his chin before saying, "Alright, give me the ring. Oh, and bump down the price to 20 gold pieces."
 
"W-What? I can't do that, do you want me to lose my job?" Gerald yelped. His blond hair waved about as he jumped back from the counter.
 
"I'm obviously not just extorting you. Come on, I'm not that type of person. Simply, I'll help you with that perverted fantasy of yours. I can lessen Liz's hatred for you. Tell me, is that worth 10 gold to you?" Dusk asked.
 
Gerald gulped hard, loud enough for Dusk to hear. "I- Okay, fine. But swear to me that you're not lying right now, I still need this job," Gerald said.
 
Dusk jumped over the counter and patted Gerald on the shoulder. "Don't worry, have you ever seen me lie? Of course not, I'm as honest as they come," he said whilst sticking out a thumbs up. "Just leave Liz with me, I'll get this done before the week ends," he continued. He pinched Gerald's fatty cheeks.
 
After being handed the bronze ring Dusk left the store, a grin on his face. 'Alright, time to buy some healing potions and herbs. You can never be too careful when it comes to fighting against those creatures.'
 
It only took Dusk about an hour to finish going around all of the various markets on the campus and gathering all of the items he needed. He was currently sat on a wooden bench across from the academy's library. He looked up at the blazing sun, a frown on his face.
 
"Seriously, all of the gold I earned is already used up. Maybe I should stop being so rude to that old Hermit. With 50 more gold I could have bought like five hundred chocolate parfaits," he said. 'Oh well, it doesn't matter. I'll just go out to the beast range again with Joan later to earn some more. But first thing is first, time to go use up these learning points.'
 
Dusk took out a platinum necklace that he wore around his neck and pushed some of his mana into it. A blue screen materialized in front of his eyes. Dozens of rows of writing were laid out on the screen, along with arrows that pointed to either side of the page. Writing that outlined his health, mana and many other stats were visible to him, along with the amount of gold and number of learning points he had. The necklace was a device called a Tracker. It used magic and the most advanced technology to put a person's capabilities into universal numerical values. This meant that if a demon had a health value of 100, and a human had a health value of 100, both were booming with the same amount of life force.

'Alright, 120 learning points. That should be enough to buy one book to learn from at the library.' Dusk looked toward the library, a glint in his eyes, and with a smile he got off the bench and made his way to its front doors. The doors to the library were rather large, almost three times Dusk's size. Instead of pushing the door open, Dusk simply waited. A short while later the doors opened by themselves.
 
A fresh waft of lemon reached Dusk as he entered the library. Hundreds of metal shelves were spread out in the large area that was the library. There were ten floors in the library. Advancing to a higher level meant that the books were of a greater value, yet this also required for an individual to pass a certain skill level to be able to go there. As it was currently, Dusk was only able to use the ground floor and the first floor above.
 
Dusk walked past dozens upon dozens of students as he made his way to the only stairway in the library. After reaching the stairway, he pressed his hand against the rail, confirming his identity and ability to move up to the next floor. This was the mechanism which the library used to prevent students from going to a level too high for their current ability.
 
'If only I could go to a higher floor, I'm more than confident that I'd be able to learn the spells with ease. It's so annoying that there aren't that many supportive spells on the ground floor and first level.' After walking up to the first floor, Dusk once again held onto his platinum necklace, causing the blue screen to once again fill his vision.

'I'll be able to finally get a fifth spell. I've been studying at this academy for three months already, and this is the first time I'll be getting a new spell. If only they'd let us start going to the beast range much earlier, then I'd be a spell lexicon by now.'
 
Dusk moved toward a pedestal near the entrance of the first floor. He placed his hand on the pedestal. With a wave of arcana a large amount of information flooded into his mind. Another virtual screen came into view, depicting all of the books that were available on this floor of the library.
 
'Sort books by those that cost 120 or less learning points.'
 
About half of the total books available on the first floor were instantly removed from the screen as Dusk refined the search to fit his tastes.
 
'Sort remaining books by spells categorized as supportive or non offensive.'
 
Of the remaining books, more than 3/4 were removed after he gave this command. In total there were only ten books remaining, each ranging from a price point of 50 to 120 learning points. The coordinates to each of the books were directly transferred into his mind, and he quickly went to work at gathering each of the books. After finding them, he sat down on one of the multiple mahogany desks on the level.
 
Copious amounts of light entered the library, shining down at Dusk from the transparent ceiling. He flicked through the contents of the ten books scattered on his desk, humming to himself as he did so. 'Such a difficult decision to make, but I think I'll go with this one.'

In the morning In the city of Kamino inside an ordinary family home, another day has arrived, but today in this home There is an emotion that is easily noticeable.

Why is this beautiful woman so happy? .... The reason is simple, she is happy because today, her son will be taking the exam to attend the biggest Hero school in Japan!
The UA school!



She looked at the clock and noticed that it was getting late, she needed to hurry her son up, after all, she has a fantasy that her son will become a famous hero, and have many children that she can play with as a grandmother!!!...



" I'll tell Mi-kun to hurry up."

She walked up the stairs until she reached the second floor and knocked on the door of her son's room.

Meanwhile, inside the room the owner of the voice is in front of the bedroom mirror seriously thinking and reflecting on everything he has done to get to this point in his life,... or to be more specific, his new life. ( Reference XD)

The owner of the voice He is a young boy, 15 years old, this young man is short in stature even compared to other kids his age He is even smaller than 13 year old kids.

  He has big black eyes, but despite his short stature you can clearly see that he has the right amount of muscles on his body, he is definitely athletic..... Despite this, he cannot be described as handsome..... quite the opposite, his face could be described as plain, and Boring.


This young man you may know, he is Minoru Mineta, the favorite pervert of the Boku no Hero story.


Well, he is Minoru Mineta, but he is not the Minoru Mineta you know, No..... this young man is a soul who was reincarnated in this world full of heroes and villains, and unfortunately for him, he was reincarnated in the body of the newborn Minoru Mineta!!!..... How unfortunate!!!,... although, quite possibly this is some kind of karma punishment.

Why?... Well..... this young man before he came into this world did some not very good things.... For example, he wanted to go out with a girl, that girl was beautiful, with a nice figure, great ass, and big breasts, but that girl was too popular and proud, many times she rejected him, but what did he do?... He came?..... Did he kidnap her? ..... NO!!..... He is not that bad .... But he was wicked.

He preferred to use his head, his greatest gift. First, he caused the girl's group of friends to fight among themselves because of a rumor he created, then he started spreading more rumors, this time he made the rumor that the girl was trying to steal her friend's boyfriend.

Everything could have been fixed if they would have talked civilly, and if the boyfriend would have denied the rumors..... But he knew how to manipulate these idiots.

First, the boyfriend was a teenager, and obviously he would be happy to have 2 beautiful girls arguing over him, He felt Important, obviously he didn't deny the rumors, the girl's friends acted like hormonal teenagers, they got mad at her and excluded her from the group, They even created more rumors of her, some even said she is fine with any man.....

She fell into a deep depression, and what did our reincarnated one gain from all this? ... He took advantage of the situation to become closer to the girl.


When everyone turned their backs on him he was there for her, ..... everything according to plan..... but obviously this did not make her fall in love with him, and he knew he needed to do something else.

He decided that if he wanted to achieve what he wanted he needed to take a little risk.

He comforted the boyfriend of the girl's friend, to tell the truth, obviously the boyfriend said nothing and half beat up our Manipulator.

He recorded everything they talked about and with a little audio editing it was easy to create a false confession from the boyfriend.

The next day at school, our young manipulator came in with bruises, obviously The girl was worried about him, and he showed her the audio recording ....

She was speechless, she knew the reason why he was so beat up was to get this recording.

But there was something she didn't understand..... why her ex-friend's boyfriend confessed?..... She knew what a jerk that guy was, there was no way he was telling the truth.


Then Our Reincarnated One explained to her that he edited the audio to make it a confession... After learning this, she could only ask in surprise.

"Why? ..... Why did you do something so foolish and dangerous? You didn't think for a moment that the rumors could be true?!!!!! Why did you do this?!!!," she asked him almost on the verge of tears.

He knew that her answer would define whether everything he did would be worth it or in vain.

" You told me the rumors were a lie.... I need another reason to want to help the girl I like..." he told her, doing his best performance of An Honest Boy. ( Watching anime helped him a lot to learn how to act).


That was enough .... With those words alone he got his way, ..... from the beginning to the end she danced into his plans .

After that day he and she began a relationship. After all that happened, she was the one who looked with almost obsessive love to the reincarnated him,..... He transformed a proud girl into a loyal, faithful and almost obsessed girlfriend, 
In the end, she told him she didn't need the recording, if the people who hear the rumors decide to believe them, it is because those people are not necessary for her, she just needed to have him. (I told them, obsessed).

So great was the way she changed, that only a week after starting the relationship, she took him to her house when her parents were not there, to make love .....y (she was a virgin).

He is A lout who acts like A good guy, he is not incredibly evil, After all, he married That girl and they lived happily, of course that was not the only time he Manipulated other people to get what he wanted,..... He even managed to convince his wife to let him have some Lovers.... He even had threesomes with his wife and his boss's daughter.... (Obviously he also manipulated her into accepting the threesome and more..... but that's another story).


He is that kind of man, perverted, lustful, perverse, selfish and manipulative, but in spite of all that, he is not completely evil.... 

That's why he earned a second life, if he was completely evil he wouldn't have this chance, but it seems that karma punished him for his actions by reincarnating him as the least popular and most lustful guy in the world!!!.

And after a few years here he is.... 



"Haaaaaaaa ( sigh)..... ( look in the mirror).... My body is athletic, I have muscles but I still look like a fucking kid!!!..... At least my hair doesn't look like a damn bunch of Grapes..... maybe some Wives like my Shōta body legal..... "

Originally when Mineta's Quirk awoke, his hair took the shape of a bunch of grapes, the original Minoru Mineta, never cared and lived his childhood without using his Quirk or train it, because it did not seem very useful, but unlike the original Minoru Mineta, this version, I train constantly every day to learn to control his Quirk and if possible, evolve it as he saw some Quirks did in the manga.

All this in the hope of changing the shape of his hair.


3 years after awakening his Quirk, he managed to do something that the original Mineta never could! .... Gained control of his balls......no, not the balls below, the ones in his hair!!.....

He could now change their shape and even levitate them a few feet away from him!!!

Obviously the first thing he did was to change the shape of the balls on his head (XD) and gave them the shape of normal hair... he couldn't make them straight but he liked the result.... 

At least his hair didn't look like a bunch of grapes anymore.

Now it just looked like a tousled Shōta.


He put those thoughts aside and quickly got dressed to leave, he had to hurry, today is an important day,

  today is the day of the UA Academy exam, 
As a former Otaku, he knows that today he needs to prove his worth to get into the Academy.

To achieve the future he planned, a life surrounded by beautiful Teen Hero Girls that he once could only fantasize about when he was young, is now possible.

Hello how are you
Let me introduce myself I am the Author of this book (reflections). This book will mainly deal with my "Reflections" and Opinions on various topics.
I started this book because I want to practice my writing and one day become an Author and make a living writing books.
I have had many thoughts and ideas; to write my own Original books. But when I sit in front of the computer I go blank
So I thought about writing a fanfic, to practice my writing, but still, I was left blank. Despite also having many ideas and story and character development. I was blank; I did not know what to write or how to put my thoughts into words.
Then one night I got the idea to write a book about my thoughts.
And so this book was born.
I decided that the first chapter would be a presentation:
To begin, I want to say that I am: a Christian, I was born in a Christian home and raised in a Christian family.
I believe that God created the Universe and everything in it.
I also think and believe that everything happens because HE allows it to happen; if "good or bad" things happen.
I really like Anime; I started watching Anime at 12 years old. The first one I saw I saw it from YouTube on my cell phone. The first anime I saw was; Rurouni kenshin or (samurai X), I saw him until the fight with Shishio, after that fight it seemed to me that he lost quality and I didn't see him again.
The second anime that I also saw from YouTube on my cell phone was Medabots. I saw all the chapters.
Later I saw inuyasha but I left him because he bothered me with inuyasha. I don't remember the reason, but it did bother me a lot XD.
Then I saw Ranma ½ that anime I liked a lot. I was surprised to learn that it was the same Author as inuyasha. I saw all the chapters. The movie and the 14 ovas. But I haven't read the manga yet.
I started looking for animes in Latin Spanish and I found Kenichi. I watched all the chapters of the anime. and some time after reading a post on Facebook an image where he posted where the anime ended to continue it in the manga. I read all the chapters of the manga
About ½ after seeing Ranma, a relative loaned us his laptop. (The reason I was watching anime with the phone was because it had no speakers and it had outdated audio drivers and I didn't know anything. I thought I had a faulty audio card, but not that it had outdated drivers. I found out in 2019. all the time thinking it was the audio card but it was the drivers when I found out I was feeling stupid and ashamed of my ignorance).

As I was saying after my relative loaned us the laptop, I started watching anime on animeflv.
There I found To Love Ru, an anime that became my favorite for a long time. I liked the comedy and how the characters interacted, as well as the personality of the protagonist. And I think it's an excellent anime (it's one of those guilty tastes that I have). But if there's one thing I have to say that I didn't like it was the excess of ecchi and fanservice on the part of the authors and I think this really hurts the job. Because it's as if the authors thought more about pleasing the readers than developing the characters and the story.
Then I saw Soul Eater, Rosario + Vampire, Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and many other anime.
 (One Piece I saw almost 700 chapters without audio I stayed where Luffy defeats Doflamingo).
Since my computer had no audio, I started reading manga. I read them on TumangaOnline. That's when I read Kenichi, Rosario + Vampire, Re Monter. That's where I read the Manhua from Tales of Demos And Gods. In the comments I saw that someone commented that he had a novel and I liked it so much that I looked for it and that is how I started reading web novels.
 
I don't like watching sports on television. I find them very boring.
I like to exercise, although I am very lazy, (but it is not entirely my fault since I was born tired, after I was born the doctor had to pat me to cry) so sometimes or almost always I don't. (TT_TT)
I graduated from Bachiller of Science at the age of 15. and a few months later I passed the introductory course to study medicine. (Premedical).
And at 16 and a few months I started college. But I didn't make an effort to study, and as expected I ended up losing the year. And if he failed the last quarterly exam he ran the risk of being expelled, so requesting a temporary withdrawal from the university "accused of family problems."
As the new school term begins, I started with a slightly more focused and serious mindset. Two months after starting and being close to the first trimester exam. The teacher in charge of my year calls me and tells me that that year I cannot attend the school year, due to the withdrawal request that I had previously requested, that I had to wait at least one year before I could resume my studies.
After that I became very depressed.
After about 6 months had passed, my mother told me if she wanted to study education at another university. She told me that a friend told her that the introductory course was about to start and that few people signed up, and she asked me if I wanted to sign up. and I answered yes.
I passed the introductory with a high mark and started my first semester in the College of Education.
It goes without saying that history repeated itself, started the semester motivated but that motivation was gradually lost. Mainly because he had many free hours, due to the lack of teachers, who had left the country.
I finished spending the semester, (With some subjects postponed), but I had already lost the desire to continue so I did not continue attending.
 
It has been almost 5 or 6 years since I graduated from high school and I have not done anything with my life, I do not study and I do not work becoming a holder of the Neet Title.
Sometimes I wonder how my parents feel about me, they feel Disappointed. Annoying or perhaps proud, but how would they feel proud of me, if I have not done anything I have not achieved anything.
To be honest at this age I already saw myself as a successful person with a home of my own. Independent, and that I would have bought my parents a house on the beach. That I know, they would be proud of me, and I could take care of them.
Not like I am right now, the misguided and disappointing stereotype of an otaku.
But I don't want to continue as I am now. I want to be better. Beat myself.
 
That's why I want to be an Author making a living with what I like, writing novels, writing and exploring fantasy worlds, making people happy with my stories.
Horre my God. Honor my Parents, Honor my Family.
 
Doing what I like, working on what I like.

I wanted to write a book, but when I sat in front of the computer I was left blank and did not know what to write or how to write it, although I have many ideas and developments, I did not know how to translate. my ideas.
Then I came up with the idea to write a book about my thoughts and opinions on various topics. To practice my writing in that way.
I am Latin American and my mother tongue and the only language I know is Spanish.
I write the chapters in Spanish and translate them with the google translator. That is why I ask for your patience and tolerance to forgive my spelling mistakes.

Jayde entered the captain briefing room which was lavishly decorated, sneering to herself Jayde thought that if she had 'liberated' this starship, the first thing she would have done was stripped this office. It is a damn starship, not some luxurious resort.

"Ah, SN1098 so nice to see you," Vice President Xi said facetiously.

Jayde didn't bother to respond to Vice President Xi's question, giving him aloof look she sat down on one of the chairs opposite him, crossing her right leg over her left, she cocked her right eyebrow at Vice President Xi.

"I'm in no mood for your childish games, what the f*ck is going on?" Jayde demanded brusquely.

Throwing Jayde a mocking smile, Vice President Xi leaned back in his chair, "Woke up on the wrong side of the bed?" 

Lawrence who had just taken a seat gave a short guffaw at Vice President Xi comment.

Jayde rolled her eyes. Suck up, she thought.

Seeing that Jayde wasn't rising to his bait, the mocking smile on Vice President Xi's face fell. His eyes turned cold and cruel.

"Well it simple my dear SN1098, you are my prisoner — and you have been for over four months now,"

"Bullshit!" Jayde barked.

"I want to know how the hell you escaped Crypso 3Q3U, and more importantly how transferred my soul back into this body?"

Jayde had been thinking through everything, all she could think of was somehow Lawrence and Xi had escaped when she denoted that antimatter bomb, and through some means had transported her soul from Doha into a cloned body.

While she didn't know how the hell the Federation had the technology to manipulate souls, the Protoss technology had convinced Jayde that is was possible. Cloning although illegal wouldn't have prevented the Xi Corp from creating a clone of her.

"Transferred your soul?"  echoed Vice President Xi, then he burst out laughing.

"Oh my god, you believe that we transferred your soul," he said spluttering through his laughter. 

"Oh god, this is too brilliant, SN1055 remind me to give those scientists a hefty bonus."

It took Vice President Xi nearly three minutes to regain control. While he was howling with laughter Jayde was feeling a bad premonition. What the hell was going on, she thought filled with confusion and fear.

"Shit SN1098, you really are a disappointment," Vice President Xi said shaking his head sadly.

"What the f*ck do you think this is — some sort of fantasy novel?" he said contemptuously.

"Let me explain it to you in simple terms, just so that small brain of yours can understand. Four months ago, when you tried to activate that cute little chip in your head to denote those antimatter bombs, our jamming device intercepted your signal."

With false sympathy Vice President Xi carried on with his explanation: "Unfortunately the feedback from the interception, cause a backlash and well — you suffered some temporary damage to the area around the chip." 

Leaning forward Vice President Xi placed both his elbows on the desk in front of him, casually he rested his chin on his fists. 

"And you have been under my tender care ever since." Smiling enigmatically he said: "You had such delicious information in that sweet brain of yours."

Impossible!

"I don't believe you!" Jayde cried out.

"To be honest, I don't give a f*ck whether you believe me or not, but I am so going to enjoy watching that composure of yours crumble." Vice President Xi said as he turned to screen embedded into wall of his office.

"Computer display medical recordings for prisoner SN1098 dated from stardate 32010518."

"Accessing video recordings."

Jayde looked at the screen and felt the blood in her veins freeze, as she saw a video recording of herself lying on a medbay bed. Various machines were attached to her head. Lawrence and Vice President Xi were standing next to her bed, with two scientists. They were discussing her current condition.

"I don't give a damn about your excuses," Vice President Xi voice came through the audio channel.

"I want the f*cking information in that bitch's head, what the hell is the holdup?"

"Sir, we are trying our best, but she keeps on fighting the data miner, if this carries on we will gain nothing, right now there are multiple brain hemorrhages from our last attempt, she could very well die if we continue," one of the scientists said.

"Don't give me f*cking problems, give me solutions!"

With that Vice President Xi and Lawrence left the room. The screen then changed to a new scene, at the top of the screen a new date stamp was recorded.

Stardate 32010527

The recording was nine days later in the same room. Vice President Xi and the same two scientists were standing by Jayde's bed.

"Sir, we think we might have a solution." the younger scientist said.

"About bloody time." Vice President Xi responded. 

"Well what is it?" he asked when the scientists didn't immediately respond.

"If we distract her mind, give it something else to concentrate on, we believe that we could then sneak in and obtain that information."

"How are you going to distract her brain?" 

"We believe," the scientist said indicting himself and his partner, "that if we stimulate the reticular activating system [1], concentrating on the cortex, limbic system, and the amygdala and depress the frontal lobes, we can put her into a continuous dream state. With her frontal lobes depressed this would make her believe that her dream state is real.

While she is experiencing her dream state, we could then actively mine her hippocampus and cortex, accessing her memories." 

Vice President Xi looked at the two scientists seriously. "And just how are you going to stimulate her to dream, she has been trained her whole life to be rational and logical?"

"Ah, we have that covered as well," the older scientist said excitedly. "We will feed her audio suggestions."

Vice President Xi looked at Jayde lying on the bed for a minute then turning to the two scientists he  ordered: "Do it."

The screen on the wall faded out, and a new scene was shown.

The new scene showed the two scientists and Lawrence in a conference room. They were discussing the current experiment with Lawrence.

"We can get her to dream but every time we give her suggestions to deepen her dream state, she fights our suggestions and we can not start the mining operation." the younger scientists said his voice filled with frustration.

"Hmm," Lawrence said thoughtfully.

"What are you trying to get her to dream about?" he asked.

The science handed over a datapad to Lawrence, which he read through.

"I think I know what your problem is, you are trying to make her believe that she is still head of the rebellion and carrying out missions. Change it. I do know one thing about SN1098, she had a passion for ancient earth history, use that."

"Really?" the younger scientists look up excited. 

"Hmm but what sort of environment would be best suited then?" he mumbled to himself.

Laughing Lawrence said: "Make it as unrealistic as possible, you want to distract her — then give her an unreal experience that she has to puzzle over."

The scene of the conference on the screen faded out and was replaced with a new scene.

Stardate 32010616

The screen showed the medbay again, with Jayde lying on the medbay bed. Only the younger scientist and Vice President Xi were in the room with Jayde.

"It is working Sir!"

"Really?" Vice President Xi asked shocked.

"Yes Sir, we are being careful to only data mine her memories slowly, so as not to alarm her, but so far everything is working perfectly," the young scientists bragged.

"Interesting, so what suggestions are feeding her?" Vice President Xi asked curiously.

With a smug smile, the scientists pointed to a large screen above the medbay that Jayde was lying one. One the screen was a list of words.

Doha, Reiko, Yinxin, Dragons, Alchemy, Magic School, Fire Magic, Isha, Protoss, Fireball, Direwolves, Telia, Ryunzo, Sword, Dark Forest, Junro, Mage, Magic.

Looking at the scrolling list being displayed Jayde's shoulders slumped down, as her hands fell limply onto her lap. Closing her eyes, she let out a hard sigh. Jayde felt a strange thickening feeling in her throat, as her mouth filled with dryness.

Oh my god, it was all a dream, she thought sluggishly. Everything was just a dream, there was no Reiko, no Yinxin or baby dragons, everything was just a f*cking dream.

A sharp stabbing pain hit Jayde left chest at that thought. Lifting her right hand she rubbed that painful spot. Gods am I so weak that I am having a heart attack due to the shock.

[1] About dreaming

The whole brain is active during dreams, from the brain stem to the cortex. Most dreams occur during REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. This is part of the sleep-wake cycle and is controlled by the reticular activating system whose circuits run from the brain stem through the thalamus to the cortex.

The limbic system in the mid-brain deals with emotions in both waking and dreaming and includes the amygdala, which is mostly associated with fear and is especially active during dreams.

The cortex is responsible for the content of dreams, including the monsters we flee from, the people we meet, or the experience of flying. Since we are highly visual animals the visual cortex, right at the back of the brain, is especially active, but so are many other parts of the cortex.
