Its life was nothing but misery. Since it's birth, it was forced to obey that wizard called Salazar. It didn't have any freedom or will to do as it wished. Not only him, but, it also had to obey his successors as well. Until the successor arrives, it was put to deep sleep.

   Once it was awakened from its sleep, it met the boy named Tom. Even though it had to obey his command to harm the people he targeted, those were the only times it was freed from its cage. Freedom didn't last long and it was again forced into its cage until it could be freed again.

   When it was awakened once more, it was delighted with the taste of freedom, until that old bastard came and ruined it all. 

   Dumbledore found the secret chamber and forced it to obey him as well. It was confused as to how someone that he didn't recognize as a successor could command it. Because it was sure that old guy wasn't the successor it had to obey, not at all. After that, it was forced to play along with the stage that old bastard prepared. It first lost its sight because of that old man's bird than killed by a little boy. If not forced to hold back, how could such a weakling be able to kill him? 

After it's death, the Basilisk was reborn as a human baby. Free from the chains that have been forced on it, it decided to rise to power so never again in its life it will be forced to obey others.

A giant chicken with a snake as its tail, 'what kind of monster is this?' Arthur thought, but he immediately went to move as he saw the monster was about to attack the little girl, Arthur dashed in a very fast speed, he grabbed the little girl by her clothes and blocked the incoming attack of the monster.
*Clang!
"Arrggghh"
Due to the impact, Arthur was sent flying for a few meters, he made sure not to let the little girl get hurt, he wrapped his arms around her, Arthur crashed on the ground and slid for a few meters before crashing unto a tree.
*Boom!
The impact was very strong that the tree shook, thank fully, Arthur's body became strong because of the training but, he spitted some blood, then checked the little girl who was in his arms, she was not hurt, that's good, but she fainted, Arthur then turned his head and looked at the monster in front of him.
It was looking at him, it looks like it was having fun, Arthur raised his sword and took his stance, the monster again attacked him, Arthur raised his sword in front of him to block the sword.
*Clang!
Arthur slid for a few meters and stopped as he crashed again to the tree, he raised his already broken sword, there was already coming out from his arms, probably broken but Arthur didn't care, he turned and looked at the little girl who was sleeping, he needs to buy some time, and wait for her to wake up.
He tightly grasped his broken sword, "It's my turn to attack now" he said with a smile, Arthur dashed in a very fast speed, the monster used its beak to attack, Arthur anticipated this attack and he sidestepped to the right to dodge the attack, the monster beak crashed into the ground, Arthur didn't waste his time and stabbed the monster at the neck.
*Roaaaaar!
The monster cried out from the pain, the tail which was a snake attacked Arthur, he immediately jumped away, the snake hit the ground but the impact was strong, Arthur lost his balance and rolled in the ground.
Arthur immediately regained his balance, he raised his sword but its already broken, "This can't be used anymore" he said then threw away the broken sword, he then raised both of his fists and started jumping, "Don't think that father only taught the way of the sword" Arthur immediately dashed and charged at the monster.
The monster got pissed off from the injury and was enraged, both the snake and the chicken started attacking Arthur simultaneously, Arthur saw the fast attacks and immediately sidestepped from the chicken attack, then he jumped when the snake attacked him, he then kicked the injury of the monster.
*Roaar!
The monster cried from pain, Arthur landed on the ground and rolled, he then dashed at the side and started circling the monster, "I can't bear to be careless" the monster started rampaging around, it used its claws to smash everything around, Arthur panicked, the little girl still hasn't woke up and the monster was near it.
He immediately dashed with all his strength, when he turned he saw one of the monster claws was descending to the little girl, "I won't reach it!" Arthur saw the claw was getting nearer and nearer, "Is this it? Am I this pathetic? I can't even save the little girl?" the time slowed down, it's like the world was showing how weak he was, it's like it was saying 'you wanna be a hero? it's not easy'.
*Badump
Arthur heard his heartbeat, he clenched his teeth and roared "If I can't save the one small girl in front of me, how can I become a hero who saves everyone?"
*Boom!
Arthur kicked the ground and used all of his remaining strength when he was just a few meters away, Arthur jumped and covered the girl, his back was exposed to the monster, Arthur closed his eyes expecting for his demise.
*Boom!
"You did well Arthur" Arthur heard a voice that he was used in hearing, a voice that helped him when he was in his dark times, Arthur opened his eyes and slowly turned his head, there he saw the back he was used seeing, the back that gave him the security he needed "F-father!" Arthur was happy that August arrived.
"Now a Basilisk that's rare, You did quite a number on my cute son aren't ya? Let me show you what despair is!" August charged at the Basilisk and punched it on the chest.
*Boom!
The Basilisk was sent flying from the punch and smashed to some trees, It was unconscious, "It's been a while since I used 10% of my strength, I'm still alive haha" August laughed, then turned around, "Are you alive Arthur?" August asked.
"I'm still kicking father," Arthur said with a smile, but his body and inside was hurting so much, "Here drink this" August gave him a vial with red liquid inside, Arthur opened it and drank, he immediately felt his injuries healing in a very fast rate.
"So, Who's the little girl?" August asked.
"I don't know, I just saw her being attacked by the basilisk" Arthur replied.
"Well, Let's bring her home," August said.
"How about that Monster?" Arthur pointed at the Basilisk.
"Oh, the Basilisk? We finally have a chicken farm" August said with a smile.<
"Huh?"
"..."
The Next Day, Arthur woke up early and was going to wash on the lake when he noticed a fence near the forest, there he saw two basilisk monsters sleeping in their nest, "A farm?" he thought, he then made his way to wash.
After he finish washing his face, he went back to the house and saw the little girl standing at the door, just then August also arrived.
"Hello" August greeted the little girl.

The strongest and most powerful adventurer died in a fight and in the next moment he woke up he found himself in a abandoned church.

One Day while hunting around the forest, this where he met his first destiny.

"That's... Troubling." All I could see in the distance is the roaring wave of the poisoned sea.
Everything was either burning up in flames or being consumed under the pressure of the sea.
The day that was once a bright sunny day turned dark only in our area.
The thunder bear began unleashing lightning everywhere and everytime the lightning hits the poisoned water, it spreads like wildfire.
An incredibly powerful lightning, a poisoned sea and a large conductor below us that will be incredibly dangerous to stand on.
The combination that I didn't expect is actually pretty good and dangerous.
But we don't have any choice to plan our approach or retreat. Our goal is absolute speed on killing these things. Those two, I bid them goodluck.
We first went to a higher ground, high enough so that we won't touch the poisoned seawater or get the monster's attention.
Everyone of us changed into our Gazer form.
"Feran, Helga, would you?" Greta asked of them.
"We can only put four buffs on all of you, it'll deplete much of our mana when there's a lot." Feran replied.
"Yeah that will be enough."
Feran nodded, "Lightning Resistance, Poison Resistance, Dull Pain, Strength Boost!"
Helga was next, "Regeneration!"
We all jumped down and landed on the rocks that are barely holding on when the current was extremely strong.
The monsters noticed us, the basilisk was the one that attacked first.
Just as I thought it was going to spit out poison at us, it dived head first in the water.
It was circling all around us and I'm trying to follow it. But the thunder bear took this chance and began raining us down with literal lightning.
The dark cloud above us is striking lightning at certain intervals at an incredibly accurate strikes.
I jumped first at the thunder bear and rushed ahead, "DUEL!"

"That's one chunky health." I jumped at its fur but a sudden shock went through all my body. I let go and was falling at great heights. But suddenly, I felt like I was levitating through the air. I looked at the distance and saw Helga's book glowing. It seems that she saved me from falling down the poison.
I was about to signal using my hand to say thanks but it seems that I couldn't move a single joint in my body.
Helga lightly put me on the ground where it's clear. After a few seconds, I can finally move again.
"Everyone, it seems that this monster has a lightning barrier all around it. It'll paralyze you for several seconds."
Neco was panicking, "Then how will we damage that guy? We're all melee users. And getting near it is the only way we can."
"Well... Let's figure it out." I grabbed my necklace, "Doppelganger!"
A perfect copy of me appeared. I looked at it and it instantly understood what I wanted it to do. It dispelled the shapeshift on its arm and used Void's Calling.
The two monsters were then flailing around. They're being slowly dragged to us.
"Basilisk first!" I ordered.
Everyone followed pursuit and we focused our firepower on the basilisk.
When we got near, the basilisk loudly screeched. It looked up then spew a lot of poison like a volcano.
Just as I thought we were doomed, we were saved by Helga's last minute barrier.
But good thing we blocked it. The rocks below us melted.
Greta jumped under the basilisk and began hacking the jaw of its mouth. "ORAAAAAAAA!!!" Her strikes were quick and beastly. With her weapon, Soul Rend, she blasted through the skin of the monster with ease.
She's not as fast as me, but her destructive powers is far greater than mine.
Neco followed up and focused on the body of the monster. He began digging his weapon deep in the monster then running down its body slicing it cleanly.
I jumped on its head and tried to pierce its eye.
But a sudden flash of light came out from its eyes but then... Nothing happened.
We were warned before by Zeta on the basilisk, it can spit an incredibly poisonous poison and its eyes is an evil eye, it shows the enemy horrifying things and brings bad luck. Most of the time it causes death due to shock or something.
"You think this is enough to make me afraid? Hey basilisk, this fear doesn't work on me. But you know what scares me? Myself. Dispel," I took off the shapeshift on my face, "Eye of Cthulhu."
The basilisk began to writhe in pain and began spazzing all over the place. It then fell onto the ground.
"NOW!" I shouted.
We all leapt onto the head and began unleashing all of our attacks on it.
In one combination of us all,
Neco's combo was,"Supersonic!" He then sliced the eyes and the throat of the basilisk.
Mine was, "Hell Flame!" My Deathdance got surrounded by dark red flames and everytime I thrust my sword at the basilisk, I'm both melting and burning the skin.
Greta followed us, "Metal Macabre! Hunter's Fest!" Greta grew in size, but not that much, but everytime she swiped her claws on the basilisk's head, it felt more powerful and amazing. Her attacks diced the body of the basilisk.
After a few moments we completely killed the basilisk. But then...
A sudden lightning struck us all.
"ARGH!" The three of us were in complete agony.
The basilisk then had a dark cloud forming under it and it carried the basilisk back to the thunder bear. It seems that it's its doing. The lightning that we felt has disappeared.
Also my Doppelganger's Void's Calling seems to have ended.
But then, the thunder bear gathered lightning on its hand and struck it down on the basilisk.
"What!?" We were all confused.
The dead basilisk suddenly recovered all of its wounds.
"No freaking WAY!" Neco shouted.
We were all shocked also.
This thunder bear, resurrected the basilisk.
Its form now had a lightning barrier all around it. Its eyes were emitting lightning and the sea that was filled with poison were now suddenly and randomly being shot by lightning from the sky.
"Uh oh..." Greta muttered.
The thunder bear finally acted. It positioned in all fours. The lightning surrounding its body became even more fierce.
The thunder bear then rushed at us. But good thing Helga saved us again with a well timed barrier.
It broke but it deflected one attack. No matter where we had gone when the thunder bear charged, we would've been damaged.
The basilisk then attacked Greta. She was caught off guard because we were focused on the thunder bear.
It wrapped around Greta and began squeezing her tightly while she was being electrocuted. "ARGHHHH!!!"
Even though we got buffed by the Lightning Resistance and Dull Pain, the damage of that lightning is pretty strong.
We rushed to her aid and began attacking the basilisk with all our skills but the lightning barrier that is also on the thunder bear is active on this monster.
Our attacks are getting reflected since we don't have enough strength to pierce through it.
We were helpless. We saw Greta in the grasp of the basilisk and we couldn't save her there.
How can we possibly beat these things?
I looked up only to see the dark sky and the rain falling on us. "D... Dark sky...?" A lightning then struck us all but we dodged it. "Dark sky! That's it!"
Neco looked at me. Confused. "What do you mean!? We have to save Greta!"
"Their source of power comes from the dark sky above us! In other words, that floating black cloud!"
"Then what do we do!?"
"We need to clear that sky!"
"How!?"
"I can blast it with magic! But let's help Greta first! Stand back!" Neco stood back. "Dispel!" I dispelled the shapeshift on my other arm showing Hand of Fury.
I grabbed the basilisk's body and began to pry it out. "ARGHHH!" I was in extreme pain but a green particle was surrounding me. Helga is continuously healing me with her magic. It's all up to me to clear that cloud.
I pulled and pulled away the body of the basilisk and it gave Greta some moving space so she took this opportunity and jumped out.
I let go of the basilisk and punched it sending it flying.
But all I did was not 'punching' it. I only knocked it away. The lightning barrier around it negated all my attack.
"GRETA! Can you fight!?" I asked.
"Yeah. I still can!" She replied.
"Okay! Our goal is to clear the clouds above! I'm guessing that's their source of power! Their bodies will be fully invulnerable if that keeps up! And it seems that thundercloud can resurrect themselves!"
"How!?"
"I'll blast it with magic, distract the thunder bear and the basilisk for me!"
"Got it!" Neco and Greta shouted.

As promised, Richard dragged Yang Shuo to bring him and the basilisk to the forest where the vampire used to hunt. At first, Yang Shuo felt reluctant to be their guide, yet he did it in the end.  
Besides, he also wanted to hunt some animals to satiated his blood-thirst for tonight.
Richard lowered the basilisk and crouched to leveled his eyes while staring straight at the weak-looking beast. Well, he knew that this tiny creature was no weakling, but it looked so tiny, making one never expected to be eaten by this small creature.
"Remember, you can hunt all the animals in this place, but you can't attack humans. Got it?"
The basilisk tilted its head to the side while looking at Richard with an innocent gaze as if it didn't understand what he was saying. Then the basilisk stuck out its tongue to lick its feet a few times before blinking at Richard.
Richard sighed, realizing that the beast didn't seem to understand what he was saying.
"Do you think he understands what I'm saying?" without looking at Yang Shuo, Richard asked the vampire.
"If he thinks of you as his master, he will understand what you want without speaking. He's a dark beast, after all."
"Looks like I asked the wrong person," muttered Richard very quietly, without knowing the vampire could hear even the slightest sound.
"I could hear you."
"Oh really? I said it on purpose because I knew you could hear me."
Yang Shuo was irritated by Richard's attitude. He really hoped that Richard was not Niken's dearest brother so that he could suck this man's blood until dry.
Richard rose to his feet and sent the basilisk off to hunt.
"Go. Aren't you hungry?"
Alas, the basilisk did not budge from its place and looked up at him as if it was waiting for what Richard would do.
"This won't do. Isn't there a way to make him hunt the animal?"
"Oh? Did I hear it right? You ask me?"
"Have you ever been a roasted vampire?" Richard activated his fire-elemental energy, and now his hand was covered with a large flame causing the basilisk to hiss ferociously at Yang Shuo.
The basilisk believed Yang Shuo was Richard's enemy and prepared to attack the vampire as soon as Richard throws his fire fist at the vampire.
Seeing how quickly the dark beast's behavior changed made the vampire lazily rolled his eyes.
Just as Yang Shuo was about to return to Richard's sneer, the vampire smelled an uncommon stench that had just arrived at this place. He glanced around to see where this smell had come from.
Richard no longer bickers with the vampire because he also felt the presence of strangers in this forest. Only, he didn't have the smell or hearing sense as sharp as Yang Shuo, so he couldn't even recognize who had come to this forest.
"Shit. A level five dark beast is here."
"Is it so scary that you peed on your pants?"
"I didn't…" For some reason, Yang Shuo felt himself turning childish every time he interacted with this man. "Just try to fight it, then."
Yang Shuo used teleport magic and purposely left Richard and the basilisk alone in that place. It wasn't as if he wanted to get rid of Richard through the dark beast, but he wanted to know whether this fifth-level dark beast would be tamed by Richard or not.
Taming a below third-level dark beast was relatively easy as long as that person has high magic cultivation energy. But taming above those weak level, it won't be easy. What's more, the sixth and seventh dark beasts had human intelligence. They even could alternate their form into human form.
They would never want to become mortal's pets. And there was only one person who could tame them all. That person was Zaccheo, the immortal wizard.
On the other hand, Richard sighed in resignation because he did not think the vampire would really leave him.
"Come on, let's go hunting for you," he said, inviting the basilisk to continue walking without knowing there was a pair of eyes lurking both of them.
The basilisk's steps stopped when it sensed that another predator was preying on its master. With a robotic motion, it turned its head back and swallowed nervously.
Richard noticed that his pet has stopped walking and looks back only to find a black frog.
Shouldn't frogs be green or brown? Did the frog fall into a pool of black ink so that its body turned black?
Feeling that the toad was utterly harmless, Richard urged his basilisk to continue walking.
Surprisingly, the basilisk opened its mouth showing its sharp shark-teeth as if it wanted to challenge the normal-looking frog.
"Hey, what are you doing? The frog won't fill you up." somehow, Richard felt sure that such a tiny frog would never satisfy the starving basilisk.
Richard wondered where he had found the confidence that he knew exactly how big appetite his pet had.
While searching for answers to his mind's question, a child-like voice blared inside his head.
'MASTER! RUN!! '
Ha??
Richard's black eyes widened when he saw the frog begin to leap at him and its body began to take shape into something... not a frog at all!
Richard lifted the basilisk and placed it over his shoulder as he ran to avoid the now-transformed frog's pursuit. The frog's body turned into a monster with one eye on its face. The monster looked like it was wearing a white mask with no mouth or nose holes while its body was black slime like a snail.
Strangely, this snail had two human-like arms and legs and was now chasing him at such terrifying speed that it almost caught up with him.
Knowing that he would be caught, Richard decided to shoot fire from his mouth and turned around to attack the monster.
The monster screamed in pain and let out a sound of waves that neither humans nor Elementalists could hear. However, the two beastmasters could hear it.

Mother's Palace:  
Mother walked into the room with plates of food in her hand. Neban's family, chained to the throne, watched the woman as she walked in. She took the gags off their mouths as she got bored with the silence.  
But it made no difference as the humans did not want to speak.  
She set the plates in front of them before resting on her throne. Mother leaned her back on the throne's right arm as she rested her feet on the left one.  
The humans looked at the food, not touching it as they did not trust it. Mother rolled her eyes as she tapped her fingers along her cheek. "Eat the food. There is no poison in it. Do not starve like idiots, especially the one that eats for two."  
She stared at Isona's stomach, causing the others to look too. Isona rubbed her stomach at the stares as she felt the baby moving; it was like the baby knew people were staring at them.  
The mother let a frown appear on her face as she reached over. She took some food in her hand, holding it. The others tried to stop her with a look, but she gave one back, stating to let her taste it first just in case.  
They reluctantly nodded as the mother took the food in her mouth. She slowly chewed it before swallowing it down. Her stomach growled because she was starving, and the food was delicious.  
The others watched her for any signs as they waited a few minutes to see if anything would happen. Mother internally laughed as she kept her eyes on them the whole time.  
She could not help but find these humans interesting. They were different from the others that she ate.  
After fifteen minutes passed, the mother gave them a look to eat. They nodded as Wey and Owain pulled Theo closer to them as much as they could with the chains on them. They gave Theo more food as they started eating.  
The mother and father gave most of their portion of food to Isona. Isona wanted to reject it, but the mother touched her stomach, indicating that she has another she needs to feed. Isona agreed in the end.  
"You humans are so interesting, and here I thought you, humans, not talking was starting to get boring." Mother observed as there was amusement in her tone.  
The others flinched at her laughter but did not look up as they focused on the eating. Mother did not mind as she watched them like they were an attraction at a zoo.  
She did not have any plans to kill them, they were only there to get Perditor and the human to come to this place faster.  
A vicious smile rested on Mother's face as she thought about how she will kill the human and her old pet.

The basilisk eyes were closed as its head moved around like it was trying to spot where Neban and Siren were.  
Neban and Siren slowly moved back, not trying to make any noise to get themselves caught. But they only took a few steps when the monster's head stopped near them.  
The basilisk quickly opened its eyes as Neban and Siren dropped to the ground as they hit a car. From what Neban read, he knew that a basilisk's gaze could turn someone into stone.  
The monster let out a long hiss as it slithered forward before spitting out venom on the car they hid behind.  
The venom caused half the car to melt as Neban and Siren moved away from it. "Shit." Siren cursed as they saw what the snake's venom did to the vehicle.  
"We need to split up and attack the basilisk," Neban told Siren as he tried to think of all the things he read about a basilisk. They were known as mythical creatures, but to see one in the flesh did not seem fictional anymore.  
Siren nodded as they separated from each other.  
The monster was already slithering forward, hitting the car with its head as it threw the vehicle across the street.  
The basilisk leaned its head forward as its tongue kept making hissing noises. The monster tilted its head back and forward, looking for Neban and Siren.  
Neban hid behind another car, tightly gripping his whip since Ice Queen was still on the ground. It was resting near the area where the basilisk first came out.  
Siren hid on the other side of the street as they crouched behind a pole. As the monster slithered more into the road, Siren was the first to make a move as they rushed out.  
They had a sword in their hand as they leaped forward, jumping onto the basilisk's body. Siren slammed their weapon down, sinking it into the monster's skin.  
The sword was slowly going into the skin while the scales caused it to get stuck. The basilisk started to shake its body. Siren held onto their weapon, not trying to fall off from the monster's movements.  
Neban was waiting for an opening to jump in when the snake stopped shaking. It turned its head, facing Siren with its eyes closed. Siren cursed as they put their strength into pushing the weapon down.  
They wanted to push the sword more in before the thing opened its eyes.  
Neban finally stepped out since the basilisk attention was on Siren. When the thing opened its mouth instead of its eyes, Neban threw his whip towards the snake's fang.  
He quickly ripped the fang out as it started to melt in the whip. Blood poured from the wound and onto the monster's skin as it let out a pained cry. The blood had a purplish-blue liquid mixed in, showing its venom.  
As the snake shook its head while putting it close to its body, Siren moved from their spot. They had a blade in their hand as they stabbed it into the monster's right eye.  
When the blade sunk in, the monster let out another pained cry as it opened its left eye, looking towards Siren.  
Siren quickly jumped, hitting the ground as they rolled down to lessen the impact of the fall. Neban ran over to Siren, helping them to their feet. The monster only caught their cloak.  
Siren had to throw it off since it turned into stone.  
The basilisk turned its head towards them as it started spitting out its venom. Neban grabbed Siren, using [Shadow Travel] to run away from it.  
The monster chased after them, hitting the cars and other things in its way. The objects flew, crashing into poles and buildings. Neban and Siren could hear some people screaming when the flying objects almost hit them.  
The snake heard them too, but it set its sight on Neban and Siren only.  
As they moved, Neban spoke to Siren through their mind link, 'Change into a crossbow for me.'  
Siren nodded as they changed into the weapon. Once Neban had it in his hand, he stopped, striking his whip when the monster opened its mouth to spit out more venom.  
His whip struck across the basilisk's mouth, causing the skin to bubble and melt around it. As the monster dealt with another wound, Neban picked up Siren with his other hand. He quickly shot out multiple arrows to the snake's closed left eye.  
The arrows soared through the sky before they landed in the monster's eye. The basilisk threw its head back as it let out another pained hiss.  
Neban used [Shadow Travel] as he made his way back to where Ice Queen was. Once he was next to his sword, Neban put his whip back into his sub-space. He picked up Ice Queen before looking back at the monster.  
The snake was still in the same spot, rubbing its head into the ground. It was trying to take the arrows out of its eye.  
Neban made his way back, appearing behind the snake as he quickly sliced the monster's tail off.  
The tail turned into ice once he sliced it off. Neban kicked it, causing the thing to break. The monster swiftly turned its body around. While it started moving, Neban told Siren to turn into a sword.  
Once the monster was facing him, trying to spit out more venom, Neban jumped onto its body. He ran forward, quickly slicing Ice Queen down as he cut the snake's tongue off.  
Then he swiftly swung Siren, slicing a deep line into the basilisk's throat. Neban did not give the monster any time as he stabbed Siren into the wound. And while the snake still had its mouth open, Neban threw Ice Queen inside.  
The sword went into the snake's mouth as it stabbed into the back of it. The basilisk started to ice over as its body began to drop to the ground. Neban grabbed Siren, cutting off their feeding as he jumped off the monster's body.  
When his feet hit the ground, the monster simultaneously did too. Neban walked closer to the open mouth, putting Siren on the floor as he put his hand inside. He pulled Ice Queen out as Siren turned back into their human form.  
They stretch their body before complaining, "You could have let me finish eating before icing the monster's body."  
Once Ice Queen was in his hand, Neban turned to Siren, "Stop complaining. There are others to eat from."  
Siren rolled their eyes before crossing their arms. Neban took a second longer to glance at them, seeing how their body was turning into an adult.  
'The more they eat, the more they are getting back to their original form.' Neban thought before grabbing Siren.  
He did not say anything as he used [Shadow Travel] to take them back to the house. He let Siren go as he entered his home.  
Neban was getting ready to yell out his family's names when he saw that the house was a mess. Couches, tables, and chairs were turned over while there was broken glass on the ground. It showed that a struggle happened here.  
Neban's stomach dropped as he ran around the house, searching for any life. He even went into the safe room, only to see that someone pulled the door hinges off.  
Anger started to boil within him as Neban punched the wall, causing a vast hole to appear. "Fuck!" He cursed out loud, pulling his hand back.  
Siren walked towards him, holding a note in their hand.  
"We need to go to Mother's Palace. That is where the others are." Siren spoke.  
Neban turned towards him as the fire in his eyes did not die out but only continued to grow. "I am going to kill that woman this time and rip her limbs off bit by bit."  
He will make sure that the woman will die a slow and painful death.

Neban Zaal, an SS-level hunter, was tired of being one. And even though he does not mind working all the time, he did not like fame nor being in the spotlight; plus, he never wanted to be a hunter in the first place. 

He only became a hunter to provide for his son when he unexpectedly became a single father. But, after three years of being a hunter and making more than enough money to provide for his child for a lifetime, he is ready to quit. 

So, he did what he finally wanted to since day one; he disappeared from the life of being a hunter. 

But, he was always the type that had to work, or he would become too bored. He decided to do the next best thing to give him more freedom, but enough to make him feel like he is working: he became a porter. 

Follow Neban in his adventure at keeping his SS-level a secret as he works as a porter while trying to stick to the shadows. 

Remember, secrets always find a way into the light.

As Lance's party headed deeper into the cave, more and more corpses riddled the ground. They felt that they were nearing the lair of the Cockatrice. Lance started to get excited, he was looking forward to his rewards and testing out what happens with the completion of this quest.

"Hold." Elandra halted the team just outside the lair. The group huddled together and Elandra turned to Lance, "So, what's the plan?"

Lance looks to the entrance of the lair while he thought of a plan.

The entrance wasn't that big. It stood around three to three and a half meters by four meters. Plenty of space to send large creatures in, or even a fairly large group in waves.

"I'm going to send in my summons first, draw the attention of the beasts, and then we can head in." Lance thought of the safest route to take. He didn't know much about the Cockatrices, but he wasn't going to risk his team.

Lance summoned the skeletons first and sent them into the cave. His party waited for the sounds of battle before they entered. But after a couple of seconds, nothing. "That's weird?!" Lance didn't understand why there weren't any sounds.

"What's going on in there?" Elandra was curious. She too couldn't understand why they weren't hearing anything.

Lance summoned his raven and sent it in. He used the ability to see through the raven's eyes to safely scan the room.

Inside the lair, Lance saw his skeletons standing motionless. His raven flew closer and that's when he noticed, his skeletons were covered in stone. The raven sent back an image of a large lizard creature standing on the far side of the cave. "A Basilisk!"

The creature stood over three meters tall and was at least five meters from head to tail. It had spines running down its back in two rows, and large horns protruding from the sides of its head. The beast was green-brown in colour with bright green lizard eyes.

"We should leave, Now!" Elandra stood up and started to walk away. She knew they were no match for a basilisk.

"Wait!" Lance was still scanning the room and formulating a plan. If he could scan the creature and figure out its weaknesses, he could take it down. "If I can...."

"The answers no!" Elandra spoke in a hushed by commanding way. "We can't defeat it. We don't have any spells to counter its gaze or potions to cure petrification. So, No!"

Lance wasn't going to give up on this prey, either he would tame it, or kill it. Either way, he was ready to fight. Even if that meant going against Elandra's orders. "If you're too scared, then I'll do it alone." He shot Elandra a nasty look as he stood and placed Tiamat on the ground, ordering her to stay. 

Before Elandra could move to stop him, Lance brought out two bats. He sent them deep into the lair and start screeching at the basilisk. Lance rushed in, leaving Sharna and Elandra behind, and threw two daggers at the beast's eyes. He conjured a fireball and threw it at the monster's face as he quickly scanned the beast.

"I can do it." Lance focused his mind. With the boss blinded, he had a chance to avoid any serious damage. He rushed forward and let out a hurricane of slashes against the big beast. He called out his companions and started his main assault.

Wolves rushed to the Basilisk and lunged at it. Sinking their teeth and claws as deep as they could. Lance's bear companion slap the beasts face with its big claws, as Nekomata's threw spells. The poor defenceless Basilisk's health slowly ticking away.

The Basilisk let out an ear-shattering cry that echoed throughout the cave, halting Lance's assault. The big boss turned and bit down on any creature it could find in it's blinded state. Ripping through Lance's companions.

Lance continued his assault, unleashed hurricane after hurricane. Each companion he lost, he would summon a new one to take its place, keeping the pressure on the big boy.

"KAAAWWW!"

A strange sound came from the other end of the cave. Lance turned quickly to see three ostrich type creatures leaving a small cave. He couldn't keep the pressure on the beast and take out these new enemies. Lance had to decide, leave now, or take the risk and try to finish this fight.

The monsters that appeared were none other than the cockatrices they were previously hunting. They looked to Lance and the monsters attacking the basilisk. It was clear to them that they had fallen prey to these newcomers, and now they must defend their home.

The three new monsters start charging towards the invaders, but their charge gets interrupted by an explosive fireball that targeted the small group. One got sent flying as the other two ran around ablaze.

Lance couldn't take his eyes from the Basilisk, but the sound of the explosion caught his attention. He watched long enough to see Elandra rush over to the monsters that just appeared and started to attack them. "We'll handle these guys," Elandra yelled to Lance to stay focused.

Lance nodded and turned back to his opponent, he was determined. Lance rushed forward and unleashed another hurricane of slashes. Blood pouring out of the big beast's wounds as Lance and his summons assault it unending.

Knowing its end is nearing, the Basilisk spins around and knocked the monsters assaulting it away. It turned from monster to monster using its gaze to freeze them, then turns its sight on Lance. The basilisk charges forward with its jaw agape, drool flowing to the ground.

Lance jumps back and dispels his summons. While he's still in the air, the monster chomps down on his shoulder. Lance lets out a deafening scream of pain that echoes throughout the cavern. The beast bites down hard as he tries to tear Lance's arm off, lifting him into the air.

Lance's blood-curdling scream made Elandra jump. She turned to see where it came from and got a horrific sight. "Lance!" Elandra saw Lance was in the jaws of the giant creature as dread began to fill the pit of her stomach.

Without pause or fear, she rushed forward and leapt onto the beasts face, stabbing her sword deep in its eye. Sharna followed behind, throwing fireballs at the big monsters' face.

The Basilisk drops Lance and backs away from the barrage of explosions. 

Elandra and Sharna rush over to Lance as he lays on the ground, blood flowing from his body. "Hold still" Sharna placed her hands on the wound and whispers some words of power. A yellowish light escaped her hand and Lance let out a gasp. 

With the Basilisk holding its position and the last cockatrice flailing on the ground where Elandra left it, she held her place and watched over the two. She had no plan in case they started attacking again. All they could do was hope to escape. 

"He's..... Mine...." Lance tried to stand on his feet, pushing Sharna aside. With the remaining energy he had, he summoned everything he could. Wolves, bear, raven, skeletons, and sent them all towards the Basilisk. 

"Lance, you took a lot of damage and are taking bleeding damage. You need to stop!" Vixen spoke in a worried tone. He was losing health rather quickly, and she heard what would happen to him if he didn't tend to his wounds.

Elandra ran over and knock Lance back to the ground and sat on him, "Your wounds first!" She turned to Sharna and handed her some bandages as she held Lance down. 

Sharna just nodded and took the bandages and started working on Lance. She moved the vest and tore open his shirt, revealing a nasty bite. Several deep teeth marks surround fed his shoulder, pouring out blood. Sharna took a deep breath and got to work wrapping his shoulder up tightly. After a minute, she stood up and turned her focus back to the remaining monsters. 

Elandra got off Lance and faced off with the cockatrice that finally got back on its feet. "Finish this, and then we are going to have a long talk." She spoke with anger and worry before charging off to face the foe. 

Sharna looked to lance with a disgusted look, "Talking will be the least of your worries!" She slowly followed behind Elandra. 

Lance got back on his feet and watched as his minions were taking the attention of the Basilisk. "They're mad. what about you?" He turned to Vixen. 

"Just kill that thing already." She didn't even take one glance at him. Vixen was happy he would be fine now, but it didn't mean she approved. 

Lance took a breath and charged forward. The monster was nearing its end with barely any health remaining. As he reached the monster, he unleashed one final hurricane, severing the beasts head from its body.

A vessel of unknown origins descended on the small family. What happened next, no one knew. 
The boy awoke in a mysterious land, with high tech and mystical stuff all around him. He was no longer on earth. 
However, he is accompanied by a strange new system that makes him stronger, and some ghost or something that can change shape. He is the only one who can see this being at first. 
Now he has to embark on a journey to find his parents, and to figure out the limit of this new system. 
Join Lance on his journey through the stars. Help him find his parents and get back home. He's gonna need all the help he can get.

Rambut panjang Li Xiao berkibar, dan aura pedang yang mengerikan mengoyak udara. Arus-arus udara menampar wajahnya, membuatnya bisa merasa tekanan yang menyesakkan.
Wajahnya tampak pucat sebelum dia melihat Ye Futian mengayunkan dan menyarungkan kembali pedangnya. Kemudian aura pedang itu menghilang.
Anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran yang berada di pusat pelatihan memandang ke arah Ye Futian, mereka merasa takjub dengan kekuatan yang ditunjukkan oleh orang nomor satu di bawah Saint Plane dari Dinasti Dali. Dia memang sangat kuat. Li Xiao adalah seorang putri dari Keluarga Kekaisaran, dan kekuatannya tidak seburuk apa yang terlihat saat ini. Namun, dia bahkan menjadi tidak berkutik saat berhadapan dengan pedang milik Pendekar Ketujuh. Itu adalah sebuah bukti dari kekuatannya yang mengerikan.
"Pedang Kasyapa." Banyak anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran memiliki pemikiran-pemikiran tersendiri saat mereka menyaksikan pedang itu beraksi. Yang Mulia memang murah hati terhadap Akademi Dali. Pedang Kasyapa yang dikirim oleh Raja Tiandao untuk Istana Kekaisaran adalah sesuatu yang tidak dapat dilihat oleh anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran, tetapi pada saat ini, Pendekar Ketujuh telah menguasai teknik pedang tersebut.
Li Xiao tampak terengah-engah, dan aura pedang itu telah memotong beberapa helai rambut di dahinya. Tatapan matanya tertuju pada Ye Futian. B*jingan itu benar-benar berani mempermalukannya di hadapan semua orang.
"Baiklah, Li Xiao. Pendekar Ketujuh telah membuktikan kekuatannya sejak lama. Kau sama saja seperti minta untuk dihajar dengan menyuruhnya menghunuskan pedangnya," ujar Li Xun sambil tersenyum. Kemudian dia menoleh ke arah kerumunan dan berkata, "Yah, sepertinya hampir semua peserta telah tiba di sini. Oh ya, dimana kakak ketiga?"
Perburuan Kekaisaran kali ini merupakan tanggung jawab dari pangeran ketiga. Dialah yang memimpin mereka nantinya.
"Pangeran ketiga telah tiba." Saat ini banyak orang mengalihkan pandangan mereka ke satu arah. Sekelompok orang terlihat berjalan ke arah kerumunan. Beberapa orang yang berada di barisan terdepan memancarkan aura yang menakjubkan. Pemuda yang memimpin kelompok itu tampak mirip dengan pangeran kedelapan. Tentu saja mereka mirip, karena keduanya adalah saudara kandung dari ibu yang sama.
Orang-orang yang berada di sekitar pangeran ketiga juga anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran. Ye Futian tampak bingung saat dia berbalik untuk memandang ke arah mereka. Itu karena ada satu sosok yang tidak asing baginya di belakang salah satu anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran, yang berada di antara kelompok pangeran ketiga.
Di Hao dari Gunung Daoli.
Kalau begitu, mereka adalah bawahan dari Raja Tiandao, pikir Ye Futian.
Ye Futian tidak salah. Orang yang berada di samping pangeran ketiga adalah putra kandung dari Raja Tiandao, Li Ze.
Ye Futian kini memiliki beberapa pemikiran setelah menyaksikan semua itu. Tampaknya pengelompokan di antara anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran terlihat lebih jelas daripada yang dia bayangkan.
Sebagai seorang Renhuang, Kaisar Li tidak peduli dengan pertempuran di antara bawahannya. Terlepas dari perebutan kekuasaan di antara mereka, mereka tidak akan bisa mengancam posisinya, selain itu mereka juga tidak akan berani melakukannya. Orang-orang itu sebagian besar bertempur karena perbedaan pendapat.
Sementara persaingan pada skala menengah akan membawa keuntungan tersendiri. Karena itulah, kelompok-kelompok itu menunjukkan diri secara terang-terangan di hadapan semua orang.
Pangeran ketiga datang bersama bawahan dari Raja Tiandao sementara Li Xun dan Li Yao memilih untuk mendekati Penasihat Kekaisaran. Li Xun dan anggota lainnya adalah orang-orang yang hadir dalam pertempuran di Akademi Dali kala itu.
Ditambah lagi, Li Xuan berada di pihak Prince Regent. Dia dan pangeran kedelapan berada di kelompok yang sama, dan kedua pangeran itu berasal dari garis keturunan yang sama.
Segala sesuatunya menjadi jelas ketika mereka dilihat dari sudut pandang tersebut. Pangeran ketiga dan pangeran kedelapan berhubungan dekat dengan Keluarga Kekaisaran, dan mereka menjauhkan diri dari mereka yang memihak pada Penasihat Kekaisaran.
Sebagian besar anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran sebenarnya bersikap netral atau tidak berniat untuk berpartisipasi dalam pertempuran, dan ada pula beberapa orang yang dianggap tidak memenuhi syarat untuk menjadi bagian dari perebutan kekuasaan.
Raja Tiandao dan Prince Regent, serta Penasihat Kekaisaran, adalah tiga orang yang berdiri di puncak kekuatan dari Dinasti Dali, tepat di bawah Kaisar Li.
Tapi kembali lagi, Ye Futian tahu bahwa Penasihat Kekaisaran tidak akan peduli dengan semua itu.
"Kakak," Li Xun dan yang lainnya memanggilnya.
"Yang Mulia." Kultivator lainnya menangkupkan tangan mereka. Pangeran ketiga memiliki status tinggi di antara sembilan pangeran dari Dinasti Dali. Bakatnya bahkan melampaui pangeran pertama dan pangeran kedua.
Banyak orang berharap bahwa pangeran ketiga akan dapat mencapai hal-hal besar di masa depan.
"Kakak, seseorang menodongkan sebilah pedang ke arahku," Li Xiao menghampirinya dan mulai mengadu.

Karena dia adalah yang termuda di antara saudara-saudaranya dan juga seorang wanita, para pangeran cenderung memanjakannya, dan dia selalu menindas orang lain.
"Dia." Li Xiao menunjuk ke arah Ye Futian.
Ye Futian mengerutkan keningnya dan merasa muak pada temperamen buruk dari Li Xiao.
Xia Qingyuan juga seorang puteri, dan keduanya sangat sombong. Namun, kesombongan Xia Qingyuan muncul karena dia memiliki kemampuan yang hebat, sedangkan kesombongan Li Xiao adalah sesuatu yang muncul akibat dia selalu dimanja oleh orang-orang di sekitarnya.
Pangeran ketiga memandang ke arah Ye Futian, lalu dia tersenyum dan berkata, "Aku sudah lama ingin bertemu dengan murid baru dari Penasihat Kekaisaran dan mengenalnya lebih dekat. Aku mengetahui seperti apa kekuatan yang dimiliki oleh Di Hao. Sangat disayangkan bahwa aku tidak dapat menyaksikan pertempuran antar sosok terkuat di bawah Saint Plane kala itu. Tapi di gunung barat, kita akan bisa bersaing satu sama lain."
"Yang Mulia," panggil Ye Futian sambil menangkupkan tangannya. Pangeran ketiga adalah seorang Saint, dan tentu saja dia tidak akan bersikap layaknya dia berhadapan dengan Li Xiao.
"Kakak," panggil Li Xiao.
"Kau adalah orang yang meminta Pendekar Ketujuh untuk menghunuskan pedangnya, bukan?" Pangeran ketiga memandang ke arah Li Xiao, yang sedang cemberut.
"Baiklah, kita semua sudah berkumpul di sini sekarang. Ayo kita pergi," ujar pangeran ketiga, dan dalam sekejap raungan naga terdengar di seluruh penjuru pusat pelatihan. Rangkaian kereta yang ditarik oleh naga-naga emas satu per satu lepas landas ke udara. Para pangeran menempati posisi mereka masing-masing di dalam kereta sementara kultivator lainnya naik ke atas punggung naga-naga tersebut. Mereka semua terbang ke udara sementara naga-naga itu meraung saat mereka melesat menembus deretan awan.

Gunung barat bukan terdiri dari satu gunung saja, melainkan sebuah wilayah pegunungan yang seolah tak berbatas. Sebuah matriks raksasa menyelimuti pegunungan tersebut. Setiap monster iblis yang diasingkan di sana hanya mampu bertahan hidup di area pegunungan tersebut.
Hanya anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran yang diizinkan masuk ke dalam area pegunungan itu, yang berfungsi sebagai tempat berburu secara besar-besaran.
Selain itu hanya anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran yang memiliki kemampuan untuk menjaga wilayah perburuan yang dilengkapi dengan monster di dalamnya itu, yang digunakan untuk melatih murid-murid dari Keluarga Kekaisaran.
Gunung barat adalah sebuah tempat dimana monster-monster iblis berkumpul di dalamnya.
Kereta-kereta naga turun dari atas langit menuju sebuah gunung yang menjulang tinggi di wilayah gunung barat. Rombongan kultivator dari Keluarga Kekaisaran mendarat dan mengarahkan pandangan mereka ke depan. Tempat itu dipenuhi dengan aura iblis dan tampak terpencil.
"Gunung barat adalah sebuah tempat dimana monster-monster iblis berkumpul sejak zaman dahulu. Ada banyak spesies monster iblis yang dapat ditemukan di sini, dan Keluarga Kekaisaran telah berburu di tempat ini untuk waktu yang sangat lama. Saat jumlah orang yang berburu terus bertambah, beberapa monster legendaris yang kuat mulai pergi meninggalkan gunung barat. Karena itulah, Keluarga kekaisaran menciptakan sebuah matriks raksasa untuk menyegel wilayah tersebut, dan sejak saat itu gunung barat menjadi tempat perburuan khusus bagi Keluarga Kekaisaran," ujar Li Yao pada Ye Futian saat dia keluar dari dalam kereta naga.
"Ditambah lagi, anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran tidak pernah menyerang dan membunuh monster iblis yang memiliki tingkat Plane lebih rendah dari mereka dalam setiap perburuan. Monster-monster itu dibiarkan tumbuh besar, dan anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran hanya bertarung melawan monster-monster iblis dengan tingkat Plane yang sama atau lebih tinggi dari mereka."
Ye Futian mengangguk dan bertanya, "Jadi, monster-monster iblis yang sangat kuat sudah tidak ada lagi di gunung barat, ya?"
"Sebagian besar monster yang ada di sini berada di bawah Saint Plane. Bahkan jika ada monster tingkat Saint, mereka pasti berada di tingkat pertama Saint Plane. Sebagian besar monster yang kuat telah pergi meninggalkan gunung barat kala itu. Ada juga monster iblis yang terbukti berguna bagi anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran, dan mereka dikendalikan oleh kami. Sementara monster-monster yang menolak untuk tunduk diasingkan ke gunung barat. Monster-monster iblis di tingkat kedua Saint Plane memang sudah hampir punah. Tapi kembali lagi, ada saat dimana monster iblis berevolusi dan berubah menjadi semakin kuat.
"Karena itulah, sangat penting untuk selalu bersikap waspada dan tidak menjauh dari kelompok masing-masing. Monster-monster yang berada di tingkat Plane relatif tinggi memiliki kecerdasan yang setara dengan manusia, dan mereka juga akan memburu kita. Ada banyak korban berjatuhan setiap kali perburuan diadakan di masa lalu, dan sebagian besar dari mereka tewas karena terlalu percaya diri dalam perburuan, dimana mereka berpikir bahwa mereka akan baik-baik saja apabila berburu seorang diri. Tentu saja, ada pula kasus dimana monster-monster iblis bekerja sama dan membunuh anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran. Karena itulah, meskipun kita datang kemari untuk berburu, kita harus tetap waspada."
"Pendekar Ketujuh, jika kau menemukan monster iblis yang langka dan kuat, jangan ragu untuk menjinakkan mereka dan menjadikannya sebagai tungganganmu."
"Tentu saja." Ye Futian mengangguk, tetapi pemikiran itu tidak pernah terlintas di benaknya. Dia tidak tega untuk menempa kekuatannya dengan cara bertarung melawan monster-monster dari gunung barat.
Pangeran ketiga naik ke udara, dan banyak Saint yang kuat mengikutinya. Mereka naik ke udara dan berkata, "Mulai sekarang, kalian bebas berburu sesuka hati kalian. Ayo kita pergi."
"Maju!"
Banyak sosok satu per satu bergerak ke depan dan pergi ke bagian dalam pegunungan. Perburuan di gunung barat sebenarnya bertujuan sebagai sebuah sarana latihan untuk para generasi muda dari Keluarga Kekaisaran, serta menempa kemampuan bertarung para kultivator yang berada di tingkat Sage Plane. Beberapa Saint sesekali beraksi, bertarung melawan monster-monster legendaris.
Para kultivator dari Keluarga Kekaisaran bergerak dengan penuh semangat. Mereka semua adalah generasi muda. Para Saint hanya mengawasi dari atas langit. 
"Ada seekor basilisk [1][1] sekitar seratus mil di arah barat daya," ujar seorang Saint yang berada di udara. Kemudian para anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran mempercepat langkah mereka saat mereka bergerak menuju barat daya.
Tidak lama kemudian, mereka melihat seekor basilisk sepanjang seratus meter merayap di antara pedalaman gunung, mencoba melarikan diri.
Basilisk itu memiliki kepala berwarna biru dan tubuhnya berwarna hitam. Monster itu memancarkan aura yang sangat berbahaya di sekujur tubuhnya.
Beberapa kultivator di antara anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran memegang sebuah busur dan anak panah. Kilatan cahaya berwarna emas berkilauan saat cahaya yang menyilaukan terpancar keluar. Anak panah itu ditembakkan di udara dengan membawa kekuatan yang mengerikan di dalamnya.
Basilisk itu membuka mulutnya dan menghembuskan napas berbau busuk. Sebuah pusaran pelahap muncul pada mulutnya, menelan anak panah yang ditembakkan ke arahnya, dan ular itu terus melarikan diri setelah menutup mulutnya.
Itu adalah seekor basilisk yang berada di puncak Sage Plane dan memiliki kekuatan pelahap. Ular itu mampu melahap seekor gajah dalam sekejap.
Beberapa generasi muda dari Keluarga Kekaisaran yang berada di puncak Sage Plane mempercepat langkah mereka dan bergerak ke depan, menyusul pergerakan ular itu, berusaha untuk membunuh hasil buruan pertama mereka.
Basilisk itu tahu bahwa tidak ada gunanya untuk melarikan diri, kemudian dia berbalik untuk menyemburkan bisa, yang terbang ke arah kerumunan. Basilisk itu membuka mulutnya yang besar dan mulai menghisap segala sesuatu pada satu arah, berusaha untuk melahap seseorang.
Orang itu mundur dengan tergesa-gesa. Namun, seberkas cahaya yang menyilaukan lainnya terpancar, dan menerjang ke dalam kekuatan pelahap itu, langsung bergerak menuju perut ular tersebut. Suara gemuruh yang keras terdengar saat basilisk itu diledakkan dari dalam tubuhnya. Seorang kultivator dari Keluarga Kekaisaran muncul dengan diselimuti oleh cahaya yang menyilaukan.
"Kau tidak tertarik dengan perburuan ini?" Li Yao bertanya pada Ye Futian, yang selama ini hanya mendampinginya dan sama sekali tidak bertarung.
Ye Futian mengangguk. Dia memang tidak tertarik karena dia ingin menguji kemampuannya terhadap monster-monster di tingkat Saint.
"Yang Mulia, saya ingin berlatih seorang diri," ujar Ye Futian.
Li Yao tampak tercengang. Dia memandang ke arah Ye Futian dan berkata, "Kau sudah mendengar apa yang kukatakan sebelumnya. Ada monster-monster iblis yang akan memburu kita di gunung barat. Berburu seorang diri itu berbahaya."
"Anda juga mengatakan bahwa hanya ada beberapa monster tingkat Saint di sini. Bahkan jika saya bertemu dengan monster iblis, saya yakin bahwa saya dapat melindungi diri saya sendiri. Ketakutan akan hal yang tidak diketahui tidak berlaku dalam kultivasi ilmu pedang. Jika saya menghadapi situasi yang tidak bisa saya tangani, saya akan mengirimkan sinyal untuk memberitahu anda, Yang Mulia," ujar Ye Futian. Dia merasa tidak nyaman untuk bepergian dengan kelompok besar.
"Benar-benar kurang ajar," ujar Li Xiao dengan nada dingin, yang berada tidak jauh dari mereka.
"Apakah anda ingin bergabung dengan saya, Puteri?" ujar Ye Futian sambil menatap ke arah Li Xiao.
Li Xiao menatapnya. Dia tidak mungkin pergi seorang diri di sini.
"Baiklah kalau begitu," Li Yao mengangguk setuju, melihat betapa keras kepalanya Ye Futian.
"Yang Mulia, kalau begitu saya pergi dulu." Ye Futian melesat dan pergi ke kejauhan dengan mengendarai pedangnya. Banyak orang menyaksikannya pergi dan berpikir, 'Pria itu memang sang Pendekar Ketujuh.'
Sosok yang sulit diatur dan berani.
"Saya juga akan berburu sendirian," ujar Di Hao sambil melangkah ke depan. Jika Ye Futian berani melakukannya, maka dia juga bisa.
"Pendekar Ketujuh dan Di Hao bukanlah anggota Keluarga Kekaisaran, namun mereka berani berburu sendirian. Sementara kita melakukan hal yang sebaliknya, dan memang benar, kita tidak perlu berkelompok dalam jumlah besar. Ayo kita berpencar," ujar pangeran ketiga.
"Baiklah." Semua orang setuju. Perburuan yang terjadi di masa lalu selalu dilakukan dalam kelompok-kelompok kecil. Meskipun melakukan hal itu akan membuat perburuan menjadi jauh lebih berbahaya, namun menjalani latihan dengan cara itu akan membuahkan hasil yang lebih besar.
"Berhati-hatilah," ujar pangeran ketiga. Kelompok-kelompok itu berpencar dan pergi menuju bagian dalam gunung barat di arah yang berbeda-beda.

Di sebuah zaman ketika Prefektur Ilahi dari Laut Timur berada dalam ambang kehancuran, Emperor Ye Qing dan Sang Agung Donghuang muncul untuk menyelamatkan zaman itu dari kehancuran. Lima belas tahun kemudian, seorang anak laki bernama Ye Futian memulai sebuah perjalanan untuk menemukan jati dirinya yang sesungguhnya. Kini, akan muncul sebuah legenda baru — Legenda Ye Futian akan menjadi legenda yang dicatat oleh segala buku sejarah.


"Excuse me, sir. Please, move a little! E-excuse me, ma'am!" cried a boy in dark robes as he wiggled his way through the enormous crowd that had gathered to welcome the the Princess of Ryre, Catherine. The boy wore a ragged robes with a hood over his head moved through the legs and sides of all the people gathered with an uncanny agility, ignoring all the curses he was getting from those in his paths.
Finally, when he was only two rows of human bodies behind the clearing, he stopped and panted heavily. The face under the mask was none other than that of Aiden, the boy who caused the huge explosion at the start of the day and destroyed the sleep of a few hundred families. It was also due to that reason that he had to hide his face, otherwise there was big chance that some dude with anger-management issues would just beat him to the ground. As for how they would know, lets just say that Aiden is quite infamous in and around the city for causing such types of mischief. 
Aiden stopped and stared at the slowly moving procession when he caught the sight of Catherine. She too was searching for him but unfortunately from her position, it was especially hard to find Aiden when he himself was trying to not get spotted.
Aiden gazed at the moving procession with an intent gaze as they passed through the main street towards the Yhorum castle. Behind the long lines of knights riding their magnificent beasts are the procession of carriages, carrying the various spoils and the carcasses of deceased animals and monsters. There were a few carriages containing humans too, cuffed and chains. These people were either escaped slaves or bandits and highwayman, captured and caught by the knights of the princess and would await trial in the courts. This usually means death for them, until they can prove both their exceptional loyalty and the worth to the Duke. Though, proving loyalty of a highwayman to someone as high as the Duke is meaningless and thus, such trials only spell deaths for these men.
"Hey! Look! Look! Is that what I see it is?!!"shouted a man, garnering the attention of all beside him. Even Aiden looked at the direction where the man pointed and was momentarily shocked.
In one of the bigger carriages, a huge cross pole was erected with a carcass tied to the top of it. It was carcass which seemed very similar to wyverns of legends. It was a monster with feathery wings tied to the horizontal poles, stretching as  wide as the entire length of the carriage. The monster had leathery skins with scale-like patterns forming at the edge of it's skin. It also had a large feathery tail with bright colored feathers and a head very similar to a male chicken with a visible protrusion under its neck like that of male cock. It had a large, curved beak with sharp jagged edges made to tear flesh with ease. Its dark blue eyes stared blankly at the sky with despair as its beak laid bare open, showing the missing tongue. The monster is what is commonly known as a cockatrice. 
That carriage was followed by another carriage and the monster on that carriage shocked Aiden more than the cockatrice. The next carriage again contained a cross pole with a monster tied to the top of it. This monster looked like it was a hybrid of a dragon and a snake with a body as long as 60 meters, three times that of the largest carriage. 
The average girth of the monster was as wide as the girth of an average man. 
This monster had a dragon-like head with three jets of jaw, one that can be seen from outside and two inside the mouth, which was broken open to show the extent of lethality of the monster. The head of the monster was further vilified with sever claw marks with two large black holes where its eyes should be. Lines of dried black blood marked the face of the monster with two large sword slashes across its large snout and one deep slash across its left eye. The body of the monster was partly destroyed with slash marks and hammer dents all across its body. The creature is commonly and infamously known as the basilisk, a hybrid of a wyvern and a serpent.
It was all very gruesome yet heroic but then Aiden noticed something different. It was the color of the body of the basilisk. It was light green colored. Aiden's brows furrowed and with suspicion, he craned his neck as much as he could so that he could get a better look at it. His brows shot up when he noticed two irregular wound near the middle of the body. The wound looked like someone had tried to tear the flesh off the body of the monster. 
But why would anyone try that?
Aiden finally understood the matter and a small smile floated on his lips. The truth about the basilisk is that, it wasn't a pure-blood basilisk, like the Black-Basilisk or the Stone-Basilisk, encountering which would've spelt a certain doom for the knight party. Instead, it was a simple Grass-Basilisk, a lower cousin of the Stone-Basilisk, a breed with far lesser attack power but with greater mobility due to its two smaller legs at the middle of the body, an evolutionary gift. 
Aiden nodded to himself as he finally understood the real matter of the basilisk and the cockatrice and how the knight party was able to hunt both of them in a single season. He turned his gaze towards Catherine once again and smiled gently before leaving the area unnoticed.

Leaving the crowded city roads, Aiden made his way towards the city market. The city market, which is usually a hub of conversations, bartering and hawking was unusually quiet today due to the grand procession that had momentarily attracted the attention of all the residents. But Aiden knew very well that the moment the procession is over, the people would rush back to the market with renewed vigor and intensity. So without further ado, he went around the various stalls and shops for buying his daily necessities. With his bag full of food, nuts and bread, he went inside a two-storied shop with a sign outside saying 'Print.' 
The shop was a printing shop and was owned by a company named, 'Kemograph'. It served as the local distributor of news to the well-off families and as a retailer of paper and paper related accessories to the commons. In this world, paper is generally of two types, beast-skin paper and pure white paper and making any of the two is harder than one might think. Beast-skin paper is generally yellowish in color with a rough texture and is quite bad at sucking writing ink making writing in beast-skin paper especially hard. They are usually used by travelers and lower businessmen to keep a track-record of their sales. Making them is not quite hard, the only hard part being the beast-skin, as higher the grade of the beast, the higher the quality of the paper.
White paper is a completely different story, requiring complex alchemy, ingredients and hundreds of saps from special plants to create them. The general rareness of everything associated makes the paper extremely pricey and a reserved for high nobles and royalty. 
The moment Aiden entered the shop a huge blast of earthern smell and of chemicals wafted into Aiden's nose, stifling him for a moment. The inside of the shop was dark with very few windows to let sunlight in and the air was mostly damp. 
Aiden walked towards the reception desk of the shop and pressed the bell.
Trrinng! Trrring!
"Coming!" came a reply from inside. Soon, a young man in his eighteens came out and stood in front of Aiden. The guy was the younger son of the owner of the shop and also one of Aiden's associates in the market. He was friends with Aiden ever since Aiden started going to market by himself, which was nearly at the age of 7.
"Yola! If it isn't the Troublemaker himself. How did your experiment go, little guy? Did you blast your entire house this time?" he asked, his freckled face making a wide grin. 
"Not my fault if the reactions goes wildly. I'm experimenting after all, you know."
"Yea, yea. Try explaining that to those grumpy old men who all dream of sleeping all day long."
"Dreaming of sleeping. What an irony. Heh!" Aiden scoffed but then his gaze turned serious. "Anyway, I need 3 kilos of Grade-1 beast-skin paper, five eagle quills and two litters of black ink. How long will it take?" 
"Hmm! That's a lot, kid. Are you writing books again?" he asked with his arms folded. 
Aiden smiled wearily and said, "No, no. Nothing like that. I only want to record the findings of my most recent experiments. Nothing more than that. And didn't I already say that I've given up on writing stories?"
"Ah! Yes, you mentioned that. But I find it hard to believe that a dreamer like you would really stop writing because a girl laughed at your stories. Haha! Anyway, let me get your items. Are you going to pay or will Hunter be paying for these?"
Aiden smiled and replied, "Hunter will."
The boy nodded and left the reception to prepare the items while Aiden stood there patiently, contemplating about the conversation he had with the boy. His face was serious. The reason he was buying the paper was indeed for recording his findings but he was also buying it for his diary. In the recent days, he had been having a lot of dreams even though he was sleeping less and less and the scenes he dreamed were worth recording. This has further prompted his once-lost habit of diary-writing.
As for the girl mentioned in the conversation, she was none other than Catherine.
After waiting for a good half an hour, the boy returned with a big leather bag containing all the items he asked for. He handed the bag to Aiden along with a white sheet of paper, a bill of the item purchased. 
"Here you go. Give it to Hunter and tell him to pay as soon as possible. My father's condition is worsening day by day and money is something that my family needs urgently. Can you do that for me, little brother?" he asked in a pleading tone.
"Absolutely, big bro. I will ask Hunter to help you, so don't worry about uncle. He is a tough geezer, I'm afraid reaper won't be able to take him so easily." Aiden gave a reassuring smile. 
"I hope so." 
Leaving the shop, Aiden headed towards his next destination, the black market. Why was he going to the black market? Because that is the place where the man named Hunter is.

The black market of the Yhorum city is intricate, as it should be for a capital of a region. The market usually takes place in secret hideaways, unknown streets or even in the sewers if the conditions outside are bad. All of these are linked with an intricate network of passwords and proxies. 
Fortunately, Aiden is not only a regular visitor of the black market, he himself works sometimes as a proxy for other wealthier people and newcomers and as such, he knew very well how the system works. 
As Aiden left the printing shop, he was bombarded with a crowd of men and women rushing through the market like waves of a flood. Shouting, curses and pushing resonated throughout the once-peaceful area and looking at the intensity of the aggressiveness, Aiden's face blackened. But it was also a hidden-blessing as crowds make it easier for him to blend into and to avoid any unwanted pursuers. 
Dropping his hood and taking a big gulp of air, he dived into the overly-aggressive crowd before making his way towards the nearest entry point of the black market.

"Watch out!" the team leader said as he shouts loudly giving warning to his comrades
"It's skin is too tough, can we really beat this!?"
"Just keep assaulting it! concentrate your attacks in a single point that way we can penetrate its skin."
Battling the two headed Basilisk was a huge mess, moreover the monster is not normal. With its poisonous breath, petrification gaze and tough skin, defeating it might be an impossible task for them. They continue waging war by taking precautions in its peculiar abilities.
"This is bad, really really bad"
"You got it right mate, besides all of us here are not gifted with magic. I wonder how long we can last until help arrives, I really hope there is a talented person who'll come to our aid."
"Just keep on dreaming pal, we are in Nokdia City you know, those talented brats area all in the capital living leisurely while we are here, talentless people battling for survival, damn lucky"
"Stop muttering you idiots! don't space out or you'll end up as a stone for eternity!"
A war cry can be heard from the two adventurers as they close their distance to the Basilisk aiming to harm the creature. With its petrification gaze, the two sleep for eternity in an instant.
"Fools! continue and watch out, we have to hold back until our back up arrives. Resolve yourselves!!"
The Basilisk continues its rampage throwing poison all over the place and stepping the petty adventurers who came to subjugate the monster. Rena who was busy with some of the adventurers tried their best to defend the team who was still fighting the Basilisk from the wolves who came to meddle with their affairs. The wolves are not an easy opponent, they have sharp teeth and claws and are moving way too fast, these wolves who appears in large group are following the Basilisk as their Alpha of the pack.
"Don't chase them off too much and stray from our formation or you'll die!
The man who appears to chase off one didn't heed the warning and continues to do what he deemed right. Then a wolf jumps off opening its wide mouth and gobble up the man's head and the rest of the body was eaten in an instant. A lone wolf appears standing in a distance seems to be bigger than an ordinary Forest wolf there is and just gaze at them emotionlessly. Some of the adventurers have their minds break as they believe that surviving is not possible at all cost.
"Don't give up! we still have a chance, it's been an hour since one of the members fortunately escape to call for help, don't you dare lose your hope!"
"But- it's still impossible" the man trembles in fear "It's been an hour but no forces have arrived, maybe our lives are not important at all and they don't think that helping us can give them merit."
Some of the adventurers tried to flee but unfortunately receives a baffling end with their heads flying off their bodies.
"I said don't leave the formation! anyone who dares to leave will meet an unfortunate end!"
The team continue to battle for a couple of minutes. Rena was already exhausted engaging in battle, her body is now covered in wounds and in any minute now she might collapsed.
"This is such a tragic end for me" she smiled "I guess this time I'll really die for sure and without a doubt our entire team will be annihilated if this continues."
Abandoning is never a choice, but this time it turns out to be an option. She was down on her knees looking at her comrades getting killed mercilessly. The bigger Forest wolf than the ordinary ones is approaching her and any minute now her life will be taken. The Forest wolf takes another step forward looking at Rena fiercely, when the monster was about to end the life of the helpless woman a shout echoes throughout the forest and from a distance a man in black with a strange mask appear out of nowhere. The man seems to taunt the the Forest wolves to attack him to leave their prey in the ground and started running towards the man except the bigger Forest wolf who remained stationary beside Rena, looking.
"You-" she said with a glimmering hope in her eyes "You are that man, right?"
The man in black just salutes to Rena like he's honoring her for doing her best holding out. As she was about to collapse, the man draws her sword and black mist can be seen along with her sword extending from its scabbard and the next thing she know, she fell unconscious.
"Let me take care of this and just rest for now"
Swinging his sword and moving from one place to another with eminent speed, he outplayed the monsters. The party who witness such scene bolster their courage to fight back. One of the adventurers grab Rena beside a tree protecting her from such vile creatures. As Areku keeps plunging his sword against the Forest wolves, the leader seems angry at him, large teeth can be seen in its ferocious face wanting to devour the man for killing its keen.
"Hey you damn boss of this pack, you're gutless for following a creature that is not from your species. I feel sorry for you, you stupid dog who only knows how to bark" the man then provoke the Forest wolf to close the distance itself between the two.
As the wolf runs aggressively, the man then stabs the ground. Sharp shadows emitting from the wolf's own shadow pierce the creature in all of its body.
"A blessed one!" 

"Moreover, that magic of his is peculiar, It's my first time witnessing black magic."
"A cursed one" one of them added "Maybe he's a cursed one, blessed person can only use one or more elemental magic, his power is not an elemental magic but a curse!"
Some of the adventurers got scared thinking that the man was the reason behind the incidents that is just pretending to help them and shatter their hope they once reclaim.
"Don't falter! if he's the culprit, why would he bother killing the monsters that are attacking us if he can just kill us with the monster instead?"
"You're right, maybe he really came to help us"
"These monsters are still large in number, is he alone? are we really saved?"
"Just shut up and fight back, this will end sooner than later with his help"

After a while fighting the Forest wolves, they managed to clear the monsters and appear exhausted from the fight. One of them reach out for the man saying that there is still a team fighting the Basilisk ahead.
"I'm here for that so worry not" he then leaves the exhausted adventurers laying in the ground resting.
"I can't believe this, we are saved" 
"A one-man army indeed"
"Should we help the other team ahead, I can't shake this uncomfortable feeling"
"Yeah and more over he's all alone helping" the man stands "We should help them!"
"You shut up! even if we go there, we're just adding more burden to carry on his shoulder, leave it to him. He helps us all alone, besides, a man appearing out of nowhere without knowing his origin is mysterious. He shows up all alone and it seems like he's confident on his skills and can use magic"
"You got a point there. Going all alone here is dangerous and he didn't even budge despite being overwhelmed by numbers."
"All we can do right now is rest for the meantime to get our strength back then will rush to the scene to offer some help if the fight is still going on"
"Let's help the wounded for now and escort those people who retires back to the town"
"That's great" they proceed to aid those who needs it and wrap things out.
Meanwhile, Areku was in his way to help the remaining adventurers in battle. Upon arriving at the scene, blood and flesh can be seen all over the place. Stoned human figures are visible and poison are everywhere. He was shocked knowing that there is only one person who remains standing facing the Basilisk badly wounded. The Basilisk notice the appearance of the man but ignores as it was about to eat the weakened last man standing. Areku throws his sword at the creature penetrating its eyes. Loud shrieks can be heard as the monster shouts in despair, despite having a tough skin, aiming at his weak spots such as the eyes seems to do the trick. Areku then jumps to claim his sword from its eyes then binds the Basilisk movements but only for a couple of seconds, it appears to be strong enough to escape the shadow bind he cast. 
"Persistent, aren't we?" he then emits more magic than usual thinking that he can't beat the the creature with just simple tricks. He always wonder to himself how he can fight a monster with a sword and magic despite having no recollection of practicing it, he then comes into a conclusion that his body is doing it for him to remember.
"Let's continue, shall we?"

Through close doors wake the spirit beyond the phantom realm that dominates certainty and rivals knowledge of pedigree. Beyond lies the wisdom that no one can attain but warrior who lives for the sake of serenity. 

In eons of time protrude the chosen who will once reveal the truth behind the history longed forgotten. Started his journey with no recollection of anything or goals to reach within him. Can he successfully disclose the truth behind things or continue a life with nothing in mind? Let's see how things turn out for him.
