This is a fan fic I don't own any of the anime series I may mention in my fiction. Also this is my first ever time in writing stories so please be patient with me.

Heaven is pretty great!

It's basically like staying in a luxury resort. Every day I sleep in and get awoken by a beautiful angel maid then eat a sumptuous breakfast. 

I can order basically anything to eat and the chef will even create new foods for me. Kageyama ate things that didn't exist in the world I used to live in. There was meats and spices that he had never seen before. 

It was quite a good life.

If it weren't for that pesky Gabriel 

Every time Kageyama wanted to relax or do anything Gabriel would be watching him. It really ruined the mood considering the fact his dead eyes would bore holes through Kageyama's (fake) body.

It was rather annoying.

Apparently, Gabriel was Kageyama's "afterlife manager"

Although Gabriel didn't seem to do much managing and mostly just kept an eye on Kageyama.

It was still annoying. 

The few times Kageyama tried to speak to Gabriel he was brushed off and ignored.

Gabriel seemed to find Kageyama's existence troublesome and would avoid him. 

Even when Kageyama called for him Gabriel would resolve the issue as quickly as possible and leave.

It was indeed a very weird relationship. Despite this Kageyama still enjoyed his happy afterlife.

He spent a lot of time catching up on all the Manga and Anime that he missed. There wasn't any real conception of time and thus Kageyama could enjoy every single creative pursuit ever created by humans. On the other hand, it also meant that if anything was cancelled and never continued Kageyama would still be out of luck. He was shocked to find that quite a few of the Anime's he liked never got a second season.

[Curse these studios!]

Unfortunately, even with his vast wealth Kageyama still didn't have the ability to make more seasons on his own.

Still, he enjoyed his (after)life. Even if some anime were canceled he spent many long hours cooped up inside his hotel-like room simply watching anime all day. 

He could also play any video game he wanted. Only single-player games though! This greatly 
saddened Kageyama since he was quite fond of MMO games.

Kageyama even had a personal maid. Her name was Maxine and apparently, she was an angel as well. Unfortunately, Kageyama learned very quickly she was not the "ecchi" kind of maid and a regular old maid. This was a shame and a little bit of a disappointment since Maxine was quite cute. Not beautiful, but she had a girl next door feel that make Kageyama very fond of her. 

Every time he asked her to do something she would bow and say 

"yes master"

She seemed able to do nearly everything. From playing board games to sewing, and even setting tables. 

Kageyama felt like a wealthy playboy and had quite a lot of fun in the afterlife

 thus Kageyama spent nearly 1,000 years doing just that.

It was nearly ten in the evening when Hayashi Sakura got off from work and arrived at her apartment. She immediately changed into her pajamas after a quick bath and turned on her tv to watch an anime called Sailor Moon for tomorrow's theme at the La la land Cafe.

Their boss, Ms. Cookie, has suddenly decided to go retro. However, instead of the normal way of doing it, she decided still to choose an anime done before the 20th century. Later, Ms. Cookie chooses Sailor Moon as their newest theme for tomorrow. This will also be a good way to sell their newest addition to the menu, which is the crescent-shaped butter cookies.

Sakura hasn't watched any episodes of Sailor Moon before, so therefore she needs to immerse herself into it to get her character right. As the leading maid in the rankings, she gets to play Usagi Tsukino a.k.a Sailor Moon, the main protagonist of the said anime series.

Sakura almost forgot to eat her meal in the middle of watching the anime series. During her break at the cafe earlier, Ms. Cookie had only given her the strawberry tart, so she walked straight to the kitchen as the anime series continued to play.

For today's dinner, Sakura is planning to cook simple chicken curry. She started defrosting the chicken breast out of her fridge before she began all the work of mincing onions and chopping carrots. 

"I am the pretty guardian of love and justice in a sailor suit! Sailor Moon! In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!"

Sakura let her mind wander off towards her tv as the anime series keeps on playing in the background. She watched in awe as the character she is going to portray this Friday. The animation is rather bad, she must admit, since it was made in the 1990s. Despite this, her childhood memories seem to resurface as transformations were a big deal in the animation world in the past.

Sakura was so absorbed in the anime she is currently watching that she forgot to be careful in handling the knife and accidentally cuts her index finger, shooting a pang of pain right there that made her omit a high-pitched shriek that she didn't intend to make in the first place.

Meanwhile, Yamaguchi Alan had just gone downstairs and is about to knock on Sakura's door to give her some of the cookies that his sister had baked for him this afternoon to let her have a taste of it as well when he hears Sakura yelp from the inside. Instinctively, he held the small bento box wrapped in a pink cloth in one hand and used his other hand to knock consecutively at the door as loud as he could.

"Sakura? Sakura, are you alright?" he asked with a hint of concern in his tone. 

No response.

Alan tries to knock once again when the door suddenly swings open, and it reveals Hayashi Sakura in her distressed state.

Faking a smile, she says, "W-what can I do for you?" while covering her bleeding finger behind her.

Alan sees right through it but tries to ignore it and states, "Well, I heard you shout earlier, so I was worried and immediately came here--- Wait, is that Sailor Moon you're watching? That's Akira's favorite as well---"

Panic rises inside Sakura as she realizes that she forgot to turn off her tv. And before Alan could finish his sentence, Sakura makes a run to her living room and turns off the tv as quickly as possible. Seconds later, she was back to entertain Alan once more.

"So, you were saying?" Sakura smiles as if nothing happened. This time, she forgot to hide her bleeding finger and Alan was able to spot it immediately.

"Hayashi-san! Your finger's bleeding, geez!"

Alan starts to unwrap the cloth around his bento box and uses it to wrap it around her finger to somehow stop it from bleeding. Later he gives the bento box to her, saying that it's from her sister, and immediately instructs her to clean her wound as soon as possible or else it will get infected. Sakura soon follows as she went back inside her room after thanking him for the cookies. 

Shaking his head disapprovingly, Alan now starts to walk back in his room as an amused smile appears on the corner of his lips.

The next day at La la land Cafe….

Hayashi Sakura a.k.a Patty in the cafe is now in her full-blown costume consisting of a sailor uniform, a big red ribbon in the middle of her chest, and red boots that reach to her knees. Her blonde wig for today was tied into two ponytails with a bun on each side to complete her Sailor Moon look.

"Wow, Patty-san, you look great in that outfit! I'll make sure to win today's event to get a picture with you!"
A middle-aged man in a business suit just entered their cafe and looked at Sakura with sparkling eyes as he saw his favorite maid in a cute sailor uniform. All customers with an acquired 1000 points and upwards are the only ones that have a sure spot for taking a picture with their favorite maid. 

If that customer, like this guy, has lesser points than that, he needs to undergo today's cafe event where the customer needs to eat their newly-added food in their menu, a box of deliciously-baked crescent-shaped butter cookies, in a limited time only. Once successful, the customer will eventually acquire an instant 1000 points that he will use to get his desired picture with a certain maid.

Smiling towards the man, Sakura says, "I wish you good luck then, master. Do your best!"

After leading that certain customer in his seat, the chimes attached to the door start clanking once again, and a new customer walks inside. She was about to repeat her lines when she froze to her place when she came face-to-face with Mori Ken, who is now in a daze as he eyes her from head to toe.

She is that masked maid he keeps seeing at the cafe whenever he needs someone to talk to, and he is that anonymous online friend of hers that constantly makes her smile whenever she's feeling down.

"Well, I need someone to take care of me in my travels, so a maid will do. I will protect you as well," I replied.

I thought she would carefully consider her answer, but she surprised me by answering immediately.

"Then, this one will join you in your travel, sir," she said energetically.

I suppose I should have considered that. She had become fully devoted to me, after all.

"Quite so," Amelia said and nodded.

We left the pool and went to the changing room. On the way, I dried myself and Amelia using magic, after which I equipped my jacket and jeans combo. When we arrived at the changing room, Amelia quickly collected her underwear and maid uniform, and then I helped her put them on.

Afterward, we exited the changing room.

"Sir, you haven't had breakfast, have you? Would you like to be escorted to the dining room?" Amelia offered hopefully.

After a short consideration, I accepted. After that, she escorted me to the dining hall. It was the same Dining Hall where I had breakfast and small talk with the other heroes in my first timeline.

My arrival took the interest of everyone in the room. Due to my boosted charm, men and women were attracted to me. Although I felt pleased when women sent inviting gazes at me, I felt disgusted when men questioned their sexuality or accepted their new romantic preference due to my sublime charm.

Fortunately, they kept their distance due to my status as one of the Holy Heroes; they did not want to anger me. Without my status as an important personage, those people would have swarmed me.

Putting that aside, I did not see the other heroes here. When I checked [Map], I found that they were gathered in Motoyasu's room. I lost interest and focused on my breakfast.

I sat on an empty table in the corner, and Amelia immediately went off to get my meals; she was showing off her capabilities as a maid to impress me.

It looks like she was taking her role as my exclusive maid seriously.

A few moments later, Amelia returned with a food trolley, stopped at my table, and then moved the foods to the table. After that, she stood beside me, explained the menu, and helped prepare the food on the table so that I could eat comfortably.

"This one will explain the menu. First, let's start with..." Amelia explained each food professionally.

As she did so, she had a confident smile. I could feel how smug she was as some maids in the room were giving her envious gazes. After all, no matter how they looked at us, it was very clear that we had become close.

Those maids weren't blind and stupid. They were aware that Amelia had obtained my favor, and it was considered a fortune because of my status as the Sword Hero.

Afterward, I ate breakfast silently. It was nothing amazing. I felt like I could prepare something better.

Then again, after eating beyond 5 stars rate food prepared by the Legendary Sword, the food in the castle felt bland in comparison.

At nine-fifty, I finally finished breakfast and then left the dining hall. Amelia followed behind me like an obedient little puppy. Then, we stopped outside the dining hall and faced each other.

I said, "I will wait for the king's summons. I will request your new employment as my exclusive maid to the king as well."

Amelia nodded in understanding and then replied, "Then, this one will prepare for joining your party, sir."

She seemed confident in the result. Perhaps, it was due to my charisma that inspired confidence in her, or maybe it was due to blind devotion. Either way, she was ready to join my party.

After that, we parted ways and headed for our respective destinations. Amelia went to prepare for traveling with me, while I went to the throne room directly.

When I arrived outside of the throne room, the doors were closed. I checked [Map] and found the Adventurers inside.

"Pardon me, sir. Where are the other heroes?" One of the knights guarding the doors approached me and asked. He was careful and full of tension when asking me.

Glimpsing at the [Map], I found those three just left their rooms and were going there, guided by a maid. "They are on the way," I replied to the knight.

He nodded and returned to his post. Then, I waited for a few moments until the other heroes came. I maintained my aloof facade in front of the three, making them shrug helplessly.

In my eyes, they were unimportant. Perhaps, their existence was needed to maintain the barrier that restrained the Wave of Calamity, but I had a plan for that, and Est gave me the green light to do it.

Then, the knights announced our presence. "The Heroes enter!"

The doors swung open, and I entered the throne room, followed by the trio. We saw the gathered adventurers.

Just like in my first timeline, the volunteers were there. Nothing had changed in the personnel. There were 7 men and 5 women, Malty included.

Their attention was on me. I wasn't startled by this. I carefully looked at them and read their information [AR] provided.

Previously, five men joined me. Even though I did not bother to remember their respective names, according to [AR], they were Welt, Bakta, Tersia, Ferrie, and Drey.

Now that I had maxed out my [Intelligence] stat and could recall even unimportant random trivia from before this whole transmigration and Isekai ordeal, excluding Drey, the other fours were the original Ren's companions who died in the Spirit Tortoise fiasco. This matched the novel. All OG Ren's companions were men without any girl like in the anime, after all.

Then, Mald the Knight, Welst the Mage, and Rachel the Rogue joined Itsuki. These three were consistent in all media.

Finally, the four girls in Motoyasu's party were Malty, the maroon-haired dancer Iona, the loli witch Lisa, and the martial artist Lynda; [AR] informed me of their name.

This was where it became funny. The only consistent thing in Motoyasu's party was all of the members were girls.

There were many inconsistencies; in the novels and manga, the other three were unimportant female Adventurers that would be sold off to Slavers by Malty; in the anime, the maroon-haired dancer was Lesty, which was wrong because Lesty was another noble daughter and a friend of Malty with a matching personality—her manga art, which consistently followed the novel, also looked different from the anime art.

As an experienced 'Otaku,' I knew that production teams of the anime often changed some parts and caused some fuck ups. Even 'The Rising of the Shield Hero' was not safe from this disaster. At the very least, it did not come out as a total disaster like the anime adaptation of Highschool DxD season 1 and 2, and Arifureta. Those things were sacrilege!

Anyway, Lesty supposedly joined Motoyasu's party a day or two after the heroes got their funding. So, this Iona character would be a victim of Malty's cruelty. The same thing would happen to the loli witch, Lisa.

Lastly, in the anime, the last member of Motoyasu's party was Elena Haven, which was diverging from the light novel, again. Elena supposedly joined Motoyasu's party a week after Lesty joined.

However, there was no Elena or her lookalike this time. It was a green-haired fighter girl that supposedly joined the OG Ren's party in the anime.

I ceased my thoughts when Aultcray began speaking. "As we discussed yesterday, I have called for others to assist you in your journey. Apparently, my call did not go unheeded. Now then, gathered adventurers, please choose the Legendary Hero with whom you will travel."

And choose they did...

A few moments later, Aultcray had a wry grin on his wizened face, mimicked by some of the officials, while the rest were looking dumbfounded like the three heroes. My lips twitched as a long line was behind me, while no Adventurers stood behind the other heroes.

Alex was still stunned as he looked at Emily. This was the maid from his house, the one who taught him and his sister how to play video games. So it turns out she was Emily the hacker all this time, Alex wanted to question her but before he could say anything he had received a message. He took out his phone and read the message which stated. 

"Heya young master, I know you have a lot of questions. So I'll answer them later, for now you gotta chill. Also don't tell them I'm a maid working for you. Why, shouldn't you tell... Well, think about it yourself, the only thing I can say is telling them might result in a chaotic event 😁 Either way everything is fun for me 😋"

Alex looked at Emily and sighed. Ever since the beginning this maid seems to be playing with him, not only in game but in real life as well. This maid was like Sayaka, and what Sayaka was to Oliver and Kei, Emily was to Alex.

"Nice to finally meet you two in person. Alex and Rachel it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Emily Hunt" Emily who was wearing a gothic lolita style dress did a curtsy. While doing all this alongside her cute features attracted a lot of attention from the surrounding people.

"Whoah look at that chick, is that cosplay?"

Emily who had a lot of people taking pictures of her didn't get angry, instead she did a weird pose ,and spoke in a different tone of voice. 

"It's time for the eternal night. Bow down before me." Emily's whole persona seems to change as she looked down on the people surrounding her.  Some of them actually knelt in front of Emily. Alex and the others looked at Emily dumbfounded at the whole situation. 

"WHOAH! It's the real thing!" 

"Who knew I would actually hear that line IRL! I can die now with no regrets!" 

"EVA the angel of death and darkness has descended before us!"

"Quiet down you peons! Kneel before your queen." Emily pointed her index finger downwards, and the shouting people all knelt in front of her. It was an amazing spectacle.

"OUR QUEEN!"

There was only thirteen minutes left before the start of the tournament, so while Emily was having fun, Alex and everyone else held a group meeting. 

"It seems like Emily is preoccupied at the moment. I apologize for this. Anyway let's go to the registration booth, so do we each need to register individually?" Oliver asked Kim Suho who responded with his usual irritated tone. 

"No need I already registered the players. It's going to be Emily, Niel, Blair, Alex, and me. Also the actual game will start an hour from now, so Emily can have her fun for the moment." 

"Actually who is Emily cosplaying as?" Sayaka finally asked the question most of them wanted to ask. 

"That's the main character from the hit anime series Bloody Princess. She's Evangeline Cromwell, a.k.a Eva. Here I'll show you a pic." Shin showed everyone a picture of Eva. When the group saw the picture of Eva, they were amazed on how much Emily looked like the character. 

"Wow, so not only is she a God level gamer, a great hacker, she's also A high level cosplayer. Emily is so awesome!" Sayaka happily, and excitedly spoke what she thought. 

Kei on the other hand, once again confirmed that he was the only normal person in his club.

"Can someone tell me what cosplay is? Based solely on the word and the topic at hand I can only assume that it's suppose to be costume play or something similar." Alex asked confused at the whole conversation.  

"You are right to assume that. Here let me explain, Cosplay is an act of dressing up to look like an anime, manga, video game character. The ones who do this are called cosplayers, which Emily is one of. Also Cosplay can be divided into two parts, basic cosplay and masquerade cosplay. Both types of cosplay involve trying to physically look like the character, including speaking like the character, memorizing quotes and so on. Masquerading, or "The Masquerade," usually refers to a cosplay competition where cosplayers demonstrate their skills in creating costumes, putting on skits, and in technical matters. Right now Emily is doing the basic cosplay." Shin suddenly bombarded Alex with information.

While the group were having this discussion, things were becoming even weirder on Emily's side. The people had form a line and were now asking for Emily's autograph.

"My lady will you grace this lowly one, with an autograph?" 

"Heh, are you asking me for something? I don't feel like you're showing enough respect. Why should I reward a worthless peon like you?" 

The man in front of Emily bowed down his head hitting the ground. 

"Oh beautiful, wonderfully powerful Princess. The night is yours to command, please grant this lowly one an autograph." The man said the lines of what the servants under Eva usually say in the anime, when they were being the most respectful.

"Hmph, you have done well to show me such respect. Very well I shall grant you what you desire." Emily then signed the piece of paper the guy brought to her. 

The next guy did the same, so did the next, and the next. 

Emily was actually having fun doing this. While she was doing this she suddenly thought of something.

'Oh how about I show young master, and Lilitth-chan the world of anime. Once I get them hooked we could all cosplay together.'

Alex who was having a conversation with the gaming club members, felt a sudden chill. He felt like something ominous was about to happen. 

'Oh right I should punish that Oliver as well. I'll force him to cosplay, that might be interesting.' Emily suddenly remembered what happened with the arcade event.

Now it was Oliver who felt a sudden chill. He couldn't understand what was happening, all he knows was this was the second time he felt this chill. He might have a cold, is what he thought. Unknown to him that feeling was something much, much worse than a simple cold.

Raised to be the perfect soldier for battle, Alexander had risen to be the youngest S rank Merc. After attaining the strength he so desired, his adoptive father had forcefully made him leave the battlefield. 

Alex unwilling to acknowledge his retirement was given a mission by his adoptive father.
