"Why is this happening...?" On the verge of tears, he wiped the sweat off his forehead, gritted his teeth, and continued concocting, surrounded by the rumbling sounds from outside.
His goal had never been to cause a big disaster! He'd only wanted the snakes to close their mouths. He felt more wronged than ever....
He thought he'd come up with a very simple way to solve the problem; how could he ever have imagined that closing the snakes' mouths would come with such violent side-effects?
Seeing that the situation was rapidly devolving, his first reaction was to create a temporary remedy to buy time so that he could then come up with an antidote. He'd solved the problem with the thrashing, but could never have imagined that as a result, the snakes' fleshly bodies would become infinitely more powerful. From the look of things, the spell formation wouldn't be able to hold out for much longer.
His heart pounded with fear, and his eyes were completely bloodshot; he simply wanted to get things back to the way they were, even if that meant having all the snakes hissing all the time.
Two days later, the cracking sounds from the spell formation were getting more intense under the constant bombardment of the snakes. Fissures were even starting to spread out across the shield. It was at that point that Bai Xiaochun ran out of the stone hut, panting, holding two medicinal pills in his hands.
"This time I'm definitely going to remedy the situation!" he shouted. "10,000 Snakes Valley, it's time to get back to normal!" The mental pressure recently had really begun to build, and he almost looked like he was in a trance as he hurled the medicinal pills out of the spell formation. High in the air, they exploded, transforming into a green mist that spread out in all directions.
As soon as the mist made contact with the snakes, they shivered, and then plopping sounds could be heard as they collapsed onto the ground, the power of their fleshly bodies rapidly decreasing.
The mist slowly spread throughout the entire cave, reaching even the bloodgod cobras. As they sagged listlessly, Bai Xiaochun heaved a sigh of relief. By this point, he felt the utmost respect for the Dao of medicine, and yet at the same time, immense pride over his level of control with it.
Taking a deep breath, he murmured, "Just like always, I--"
However, before he could finish speaking, he nearly jumped into the air when he saw what was happening to a nearby tri-recluse viper.
"Th-this... this...." he muttered, his eyes going wide with disbelief.
Unexpectedly, the tri-recluse viper began to writhe as a long horn suddenly grew out from the top of its head.
"The snakes are growing horns!?!?" he cried in alarm. His mind rumbled as it was battered by massive waves of shock. All of the snakes were now writhing, and if they could hiss, the sound would surely be shocking to the soul.
Soon, all of the snakes had grown horns out from the tops of their heads! Furthermore, their bodies also seemed to be getting stronger.
In addition to the wondrous addition of the horn, they all began to thrash around again, as though the violence which had been suppressed earlier was finally able to explode out. As they smashed back and forth, they began to punch holes into the walls and burrow out of the cave itself.
Even the bloodgod cobra was acting the same way. As for the huge snake with the three-meter-long head, it was shaking violently as a huge horn grew out of its head. Although the horns didn't appear to be very sharp, Bai Xiaochun couldn't help but gasp at the sight of them. They snakes were all starting to go mad, and before long, Bai Xiaochun realized that their skin was now virtually impenetrable.
All of the snakes were thrashing about violently, causing a mighty rumbling sound to explode out. Any of them who saw even the slightest hole in the wall would unleash all the mysterious power contained in their horns to try to burrow their way out of 10,000 Snakes Valley to freedom!
Although 10,000 Snakes Valley was located behind Fragrant Cloud Peak, the snakes actually had no specific destinations in mind, and began burrowing subterranean passages in all directions, even toward Violet Cauldron Peak and Green Crest Peak.
Only about thirty percent were actually heading in the direction of Fragrant Cloud Peak.
It was easy to imagine the scene which would result in the three mountains when innumerable snakes with sealed mouths burst out into the tunnels and began to charge about madly.

Bai Xiaochun dropped down to sit on the ground and look around at the empty cave.
"I'm... done for...."
It didn't take long before the snakes made their way through the cracks and fissures in the ground, all the way to the three mountains. Countless horned snakes with bulging eyes burrowed through any hole they could find, shocking countless disciples of the south bank. For years, things had been peaceful and quiet, but now, a massive commotion once again engulfed all the disciples.
On Green Crest Peak, outside of Spirit Sword Hall, more than a thousand disciples were cheering on two of their fellows who were fighting in a minor competition. Just when one of them secured the upper hand and was about to win the match, a horn burst out from the ground beneath his feet, with a cloudy-eyed death viper following close behind. Everyone stared in shock as the snake instantly began to slither up the leg of the disciple who had been just about to win.
The disciple screamed and leaped up into the air. Next, more screams could be heard as more horned snakes burrowed up from the ground.
"What's going on!?!? Why did they stop fighting?!"
"Heavens! Look at all the snakes.... What are all these snakes doing here? And look, they have horns!!"
"Dammit! What's happening? What's happening!?!? Not even my magical item can block these snakes!"
At the same time, on the summit of Green Crest Peak, where the Inner Sect disciples lived, an long time Inner Sect disciple was sitting in his immortal's cave, cross-legged in meditation. Suddenly, the ground trembled, and the disciple's eyes widened in disbelief. Then... he let out a bloodcurdling shriek.

Even the elders of Green Crest Peak were flabbergasted. The old peak lord flew up into the air, looking down in astonishment at the countless horned snakes which covered Green Crest Peak.
It was the same with Violet Cauldron Peak. Innumerable disciples shouted in fury, unleashing magical techniques in all directions. However, they didn't affect the snakes at all....
Lu Tianlei was surrounded by flashing electricity as he roared, pulling a horned snake out of his trousers. He tried to crush it, only to find that he couldn't.
"What happened? Dammit! Why are there so many snakes!?"
"Wait a second, something seems fishy here!!"
As the bellows of rage rose up from Violet Cauldron Peak and Green Crest Peak, Xu Meixiang bristled with fury.
"Investigate!" she bellowed. "Investigate immediately and find out what exactly is happening!!"
On Fragrant Cloud Peak, enraged shouting rose up into the sky. Xu Baocai was screaming at the top of his lungs, and Zhou Xinqi's eyes were wide with astonishment as she flew up into the air.
Hou Xiaomei and Hou Yunfei also took to flight. Many disciples there were whipped into an unbelievable fury, and although some began to unleash powerful magical techniques, Fragrant Cloud Peak was known for its skill with plants and vegetation. It was no surprise, therefore, that quite a few disciples whipped out medicinal pills, and quickly found that although the effects were rather ordinary, the snakes would immediately flee at the sight of them.
Many of the fleeing horned snakes then headed toward Green Crest Peak and Violet Cauldron Peak....
"What's happening here? Dammit! What could have caused this!?!?"
"Is this a natural disaster or was it caused by humans? Bai Xiaochun was sentenced to stay in 10,000 Snakes Valley, and since then everything has been so peaceful. How could... wait a second! 10,000 Snakes Valley!?!? Bai Xiaochun is supposed to be in 10,000 Snakes Valley!!"
As people began to react, a long-eared rabbit suddenly appeared from out of nowhere. Apparently, it had been listening in for some time. All of a sudden, it began to run through the three mountains, bellowing at the top of its lungs.
"Oh god, my butt!
"Dammit! I'm gonna kill this snake!!
"AIIIIEEEE! From now on people are gonna laugh themselves to death at the name Xu Baocai!!
"Get lost, you evil snakes! I am Shangguan Tianyou, Inner Sect disciple and Chosen of Green Crest Peak. From this day forth, our enmity is irreconcilable....
"What an incredible snake. If I, Lu Tianlei, could become a snake, I would definitely go... heh heh....

Some of them stayed in the center of the defense area to restore the qi and energy, but they still kept watching Xiao Mufei. Nobody noticed what Ye Xiao just did. If somebody saw him, they might scold him for playing with a cat at this moment when their master was in great danger!

Erhuo elegantly walked over a dozen steps out and then suddenly hunch-up its back. - Shoot! - It disappeared leaving a mass of white smoke.

A long white smoke was shooting towards the snakes fast.

After a second, Erhuo was about one meter away.

That was where there were most snakes and the most dangerous place. Erhuo just touched the floor and the snakes all moved over to it. Dozens of snakes started to bite it.

Erhuo could be swallowed by one snake, not to mention dozens of them!

It stood there and didn't move a bit. It tilted its head looking at the snakes indifferently. Suddenly, it humphed with its wet nose.

"Humph! Mia!"

Its right claw pad hit the floor. - Pah! - Its half-closed eyes suddenly opened!

It burst out an enormous mass of qi towards the snakes.

After that, those snakes which had been surrounding Erhuo all moved backward like they all got stricken by lightning. The snakes from the distance were still moving closer to it, yet the close ones were moving outward!

The snakes kept getting closer like a mountain suppressing on the snakes around it. The snakes around it tried so hard to keep the other snakes away.

- Crack! Crack! - Too many snakes were getting close. Those around Erhuo were crashed!

However, even though those snakes' bones were cracked, they didn't move away a bit. They surprisingly formed a shield to defend Erhuo.

The snakes showed only fear in their eyes!

That was the fear for the upper level creature!

It was even more fearful than death!

Erhuo waved its tail and elegantly walked away.

Xie Dong and Shen Yujen both shook their heads.
Xie Dong might not react like this if there were only one snake, but this area was actually covered by snakes… He somehow felt that he had trypophobia.

Because Lin Qiao caught a large snake and ate it, the other snakes were all startled. They darted about to run away, in case they ended up like the snake in Lin Qiao's hands. Meanwhile, the stunned Xie Dong and Shen Yujen watched Lin Qiao quickly eat up the arm-thick snake and turn it into bones.
Lin Qiao threw away the bones, then sucked her fingers, turning to look for the next snake.
As a result, she found that no snake existed in meters round anymore.
With no other choice, she continued following the strong snake scent.
Xie Dong sighed, then handed one of the bags to Shen Yujen, who took over the bag without knowing what to do.
Did she really need to catch snakes? 'God! Let me die! I don't want to catch snakes!'
Lin Qiao sensed her emotions. Abruptly, she turned back to look at her and said, "Go and find a forked stick, make two parts of the fork as long as each other, and then you'll be able to catch snakes with that. When you want to put a snake into the bag, you should grip its neck to pick it up."
Xie Dong glanced at Shen Yujen, then at Lin Qiao. Shen Yujen closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"See this as a test for you. You need to get through it no matter how." After saying that, she turned around and kept looking for snakes.
Xie Dong glanced at Shen Yujen with pity. Clearly, Lin Qiao didn't want him to help her. He was planning to let Shen Yujen hold the bag while he caught the snakes and put them into it.

Standing by the seven-meter deep pit which had the diameter of about twenty meters, Lin Qiao saw about ten small holes on its edge, each having the diameter of around a meter. 
A strong, bloody, and sweet scent was coming from those holes.
In the pit were countless snakes, coiling on each other.
That was a snake nest!
Lin Qiao turned her head to look around, then walked to a large stone which weighed about thirty kilograms, then raised a foot and kicked it forward.
The stone slowly rolled to the edge of the pit, then fell straight in.

The stone fell to the bottom of the pit and killed countless snakes. The surviving snakes down there were stirred up, trying to wriggle out of the pit. However, Lin Qiao soon discovered that none of those snakes crawled into those holes. In fact, they all avoided those holes and tried to crawl out.

Gu Xijiu was speechless. The child was indeed good at playing tricks. He was the one who had brought up the topic of senior and junior apprentices. Now he acted as though Gu Xijiu was pressuring him merely on the insignificant titles.

The snakes rustled tirelessly on the ground, emerging from many hidden corners of the tunnel. Like flying moths darting into the fire, they slowly moved towards the pearl. In a swarm, the colorful snakes moved in a compact mass. Under the radiance of the pearl, their eyes started to reflect in pale green.
Gu Xijiu could see many small, green eyes shimmering. She was irritated by the repetitive patterns of the snake. The sight of the countless snakes immediately sent a shiver down her spine.
These rarely seen snakes were extremely poisonous. The very poison that was spurted from the snake was enough to kill a celestial being. The air was now also filled with the fishy smell of the snakes.
Gu Xijiu tried to suppress the irritation and focused on the snakes to differentiate them.
"Which one?" Shen Nianmo lowered his head and whispered into her ear.
Gu Xijiu was mildly agitated by his warm breath, so she shifted her head a little. "I have not found it."
"Why do I get a feeling that you are interested in all these snakes?"
Gu Xijiu did not answer. Truth be told, she was indeed interested in all of them. She was an expert in the use of poisons. Her habit was to study all kinds of poison, so she would definitely be interested in the poisonous snakes. These snakes were the treasured rarities that she would love to collect. However, the snakes were too venomous. She dared not rush into the circle of snakes foolishly and catch them all at once. Perhaps, she should start with the ones at the back.
"If you call me as your senior apprentice, I will catch these snakes for you," Shen Nianmo offered his help. He was standing very close to her.

“Boss, such an enormous Abyssal Fruit Tree.” Bebe was somewhat numb.

He hadn’t been able to do anything to the Abyssal Fruit Tree earlier.

“Continue forward.” Linley growled. At the same time, he immediately set up his Blackstone Space, forming it into a hemisphere that was twenty meters in diameter. A powerful repulsive force was in effect within the Blackstone Space, and any outside objects that entered it would suffer from it.

As they walked…

After having walked for thousands of meters, as far Linley and Bebe could see, there was only that terrifyingly enormous tree crown. That astonishingly large tree crown was formed from countless thick branches in a titanic coil, which was why it was supportable.

“Boss, look up above.” Bebe suddenly said.

Linley couldn’t help but follow Bebe’s gaze. Within the scattered green leaves, a small green snake had appeared atop one of the leaves.

“Green snake!” Linley was astonished. “This small green snake represents that a giant green snake must be here as well! These small green snakes all rely on the lifeforce of the giant green Spirit Snakes. In other words…aside from the Spirit Snake which Bebe killed, there are other Spirit Snakes present!” Linley felt his heart begin to clench.

Suddenly…

Linley couldn’t help but narrow his eyes. On many of the tree leaves above, one green snake after another began to emerge. These palm-sized, finger-wide green snakes all stared at Linley and Bebe, but they didn’t attack.

“So many!” Bebe sent mentally in alarm.

“Keep going forward.” Linley ignored the green serpents, continuing to advance forward.

While advancing forward, Linley discovered that a large number of green snakes were appearing everywhere. On the road over alone, hundreds of thousands of green snakes had appeared, far more than the number which had appeared within the gray fog region. Linley felt astonished and shaken as well.

There were so many little green snakes…then what of the Spirit Snake?

“There’s the main trunk!” Linley and Bebe couldn’t help but stare into the distance.

After first having seen the tree crowns, they had walked for nearly ten thousand meters. Linley and Bebe now finally saw the main trunk of this Abyssal Fruit Tree, and when they saw it…good heavens, how could this be a ‘trunk’? This was a wall! A tall, towering wall! The main trunk of this Abyssal Fruit Tree’s diameter was hundreds of meters long!

The main trunk had a diameter of hundreds of meters!

As for the crown, it reached nearly ten thousand meters!

How enormous a tree was this? And more importantly…it was an Abyssal Fruit Tree! In the Netherworld, there were other thick trees like this! But the material those trees were made of was inferior. It must be understood…the branches of these trees, which served as their arms, were unbreakable even for Linley, who only managed to chop halfway through with a full strength blow.

The more precious something was, the rarer it was.

This sort of large tree was far too sturdy, and so it should be a bit smaller. But this was too enormous.

“The trunk alone is hundreds of meters thick. There’s no way I would be able to chop through it.” Linley sighed to himself. The material a tree’s trunk was made out of was generally of higher quality than even the branches. And given how thick the trunk was? How could it be destructible?

“Boss, look above, look, quick! Abyssal Fruit!” Bebe cried out in alarm.

Linley raised his head to look.

Above this Abyssal Fruit Tree, spots of violet light could be seen flashing through the branches. Although they were very far away and covered up by branches, making them hard to see, the dots of violet light were flashing like precious gemstones and so were very eye-catching. “Abyssal Fruit! And…there’s dozens of them!” Linley couldn’t help but draw nearer, and Bebe did the same.

After drawing closer, they were able to see it more clearly as well.

That crystalline skin, that tender, watery violet fruit…the Abyssal Fruits was amidst the green leaves. These fruits were like little lanterns hanging in the sky. There were dozens of them.

“So much Abyssal Fruit!” Bebe was stupefied.

“But in countless years, there’s only been four Abyssal Fruit to appear in the Netherworld, including the one Bailey just acquired! But here, there are actually so many!” Linley was still calm, because Linley understood…that these Abyssal Fruits wouldn’t be easily taken by him, as if they were, others would have taken them away long ago.

After entering the violet fog region, he hadn’t met with any danger yet.

“Haha, Abyssal Fruit. So there are so many of them.” Bebe’s eyes were shining.

“Spirit Snake, where are you? Emerge.” Linley said coldly. At the same time, his gaze flashed past the crown of a nearby tree, where the tightly clustered green snakes were all staring at Linley and Bebe. Bebe immediately laughed loudly, “Hey, why have so many little snakes pop out? Are you trying to scare us? Hurry up and have your main form pop out as well.”

“As you wish!” A cold, fierce voice echoed out from within the Abyssal Fruit Tree.

Linley and Bebe immediately turned to look.

“Hisssss…”

A giant green snake that was as thick as an arm but which was tens of meters long slithered out from within the leaves. That soft, serpentine body coiled around one of the thick branches, its serpentine head raised and staring coldly at Linley and Bebe.

“You…” Bebe was about to say something, but he came to a sudden halt.

Because next to this giant green snake, yet another giant green snake appeared, its body slightly larger. This giant green snake also coiled around a branch, but its body drooped downwards slightly as it rested against it. Its twin eyes glowed with violet light as it also stared at Linley and Bebe, its gaze filled with a killing intent.

“Hissssss…”

The leaves constantly trembled as one giant green snake after another emerged from the depths.

Bebe kept counting aloud. “Three, four, five…eight, nine!”

He finally stopped counting. There were nine giant green snakes which coiled about, close to each other, wrapping themselves either around the trunk or the branches. These nine giant snakes all stared angrily at Linley and Bebe. In terms of size, these giant green snakes were all roughly comparable, and were similar to the giant green snake in the gray fog region as well.

“There’s nine of them. This is a bit tricky.” Bebe frowned.

These giant green snakes were very hard to deal with. If Bebe wanted to kill them, he would have to rely on his innate divine ability, ‘Godeater’. After such a long period of time, Bebe’s spiritual energy had recovered, true, but there were nine of the giant green snakes here.

“Nine of them!” Linley felt that this was rather nettlesome as well.

“Bebe, we don’t want the Abyssal Fruit. Let’s go now.” Linley sent mentally. After so many years, nobody had been able to acquire so many Abyssal Fruit. Forget about the nine troublesome Spirit Snakes for now; what was truly terrifying was that frighteningly thick and enormous Abyssal Fruit Tree. If such an enormous Abyssal Fruit Tree were to attack the two of them, that would be troublesome.

It was best to leave quickly and depart the violet fog region.

“We don’t want it?” Bebe was stunned.

“Hurry and go.” Linley glanced at him, and Bebe acknowledged, “Fine, then.”

“Swoosh!” “Swoosh!”

Linley and Bebe simultaneously transformed into two blurs, fleeing to the side at high speed.

“Running?”

Those nine giant green snakes instantly shot out from the Abyssal Fruit Tree. They were like nine bolts of green lightning, streaking directly towards Linley and Bebe. Unfortunately, Linley and Bebe were fleeing at high speed, and the space around them had the Blackstone Space set up. Those nine giant snakes weren’t able to catch up to Linley at all.

“You want to chase us? In your dreams.” Bebe laughed as he spoke.

“Rustle…” Suddenly, many branches from the tree crown up above lowered, pressing down like a mountain and falling to the ground. Linley and Bebe only felt the ground ahead of them turn black; the road was completely sealed off.

“The Abyssal Fruit Tree will block us when we flee?” After having previously tested the toughness of these branches, Linley and Bebe turned without even hesitating.

And as they did, they saw that the nine giant snakes had already come to a halt and were coiling on the ground in front of them.

“You want to flee! Haha…” A deep, rumbling voice echoed out from the mouths of one of the green snakes. Its insidious violet eyes flashed as it stared at Linley and Bebe. “Let me tell you this. The violet fog region of the Abyssal Mountain will be your tomb!”

A cold voice rang out from another giant green snake. “The two of you are called Linley and Bebe, right? You are quite formidable. You actually killed our elder sister! Over the course of countless years, we ten siblings have always been happily together. Our elder sister went to deliver the Abyssal Fruit to you, but you actually killed her! Haha…even if all nine of us have to die, we will kill you and avenge our elder sister!”

“Right, avenge our elder sister!” Another giant green snake howled angrily as well.

The nine giant snakes all had rage and hatred flashing in their violet eyes.

Linley couldn’t help but feel that his head hurt.

“So that Spirit Snake really did have a connection to these nine Spirit Snakes. It was actually their elder sister?” Linley had known long ago that there would be trouble, but he hadn’t expected that the Spirit Snake had nine siblings.

“Hey, what are you talking about? Your elder sister went to ‘deliver’ the Abyssal Fruit to us?” Bebe said angrily. “You all have mental issues. Your elder sister was ‘delivering’ us Abyssal Fruit? Then why did she do everything she could to impede us? If your elder sister hadn’t gone too far, why would I be so bored as to kill her?”

Actually, acting as a guardian was the mission of the Spirit Snakes. It was the same each time.

By using the Spirit Snakes as guardians, a person with sufficient power would be selected.

As the other nine siblings of the first Spirit Snake saw it, their elder sister had indeed gone to deliver the Abyssal Fruit to these outsiders. That ‘impeding’ she did was nothing more than a test. She went to deliver Abyssal Fruit, but ended up being killed? How could her nine siblings not be infuriated?

“Second Brother, don’t waste words with them. Kill them!” A giant green snake said.

“Kill!” The deep voice rang out again.

Instantly, the nine giant green snakes split up into nine directions, forming a spherical trap around Linley and Bebe. However, Linley’s Blackstone Space was twenty meters in diameter, while this ‘trap’ was also very large. The nine giant green snakes were all outside of the Blackstone Space. The nine giant green snakes began to slither about, and nine pairs of three-star violet pupils stared unblinkingly at Linley and Bebe.

“Hiss…” They slithered about at high speed, forming countless blurs.

Linley and Bebe weren’t able to clearly see the snakes at all, just nine streaks of violet light. The streaks of violet light actually started twisted about, seeming like strings which began to constrict the space between them, like a fishnet compressing down towards Linley and Bebe.

“What sort of technique is this?” Linley couldn’t quite understand, but he didn’t overthink things. His immediate response was…the sudden expansion of the Blackstone Space, which instantly expanded to trap the nine giant green snakes within. The powerful repulsive force was applied to the green snakes, and the speed of the green snakes couldn’t help but drop, and their bodies couldn’t help but be moved as well.

Their joint attack was disrupted!

“Attack that Linley!” A furious shout rang out.

Instantly, those nine giant green snakes almost simultaneously shot out, transforming into nine green streaks of light as they charged towards Linley, biting down towards Linley with their fangs bared. But because of the Blackstone Space, their speed wasn’t that fast. Actually, the most powerful attack of these Spirit Snakes was to use their venomous fangs to bite others, but they knew…

Bebe’s body was too powerful. Their elder sister’s fangs had shattered, and yet she still wasn’t able to harm Bebe.

Thus, they temporarily chose to deal with Linley first!

The venomous fangs of these Spirit Snakes were on a completely different level from the venomous fangs of the little green snakes. A bite from the venomous fangs of these Spirit Snakes was even more terrifying than the little green snakes wriggling in one’s body!

Linley saw those nine giant maws swing open and bite towards him. He couldn’t help but be stunned. “Given how troublesome it was to be bitten by those little green snakes, if these Spirit Snakes bite me…I’m not Bebe!” The defense of his draconic scales was indeed powerful, but even the draconic scales of Patriarch Gislason wasn’t as powerful as the defense of Beirut and Bebe…the level of godspark weapons.

“Hmph.” Linley, with a thought, made the repulsive force of his Blackstone Space transform into a downward pull!

The nine serpentine heads bit down, but as they did, they suddenly sank downwards. Linley instantly activated his ‘Spiritual Chaos’ technique. Linley’s current Spiritual Chaos technique would somewhat affect even Seven Star Fiends.

“Eh?” Linley discovered, to his surprise, that these nine giant snakes weren’t affected by the Spiritual Chaos at all. The nine giant green heads once more rose up, biting towards Linley. Linley wielded the godspark sword, Mirage, and delivered a full force blow using the Laws of the Earth. Where Mirage slashed past, space trembled and split apart.

In the Blackstone Space, the giant green snakes found it hard to dodge.

“Slash!” One of the giant green snakes was struck. Its entire body trembled, and a large wound appeared on its body, with violet blood oozing out of it.

“What tough skin.” Linley was secretly surprised. His attack contained the profound mysteries of the Laws of the Earth, and in terms of attack power, was much stronger than Bebe’s strikes. But he was only able to wound the giant green snake.

“Raaaaaaaaaargh!” The giant green snake howled in agony, biting down in rage as its two sharp fangs glistened with a strange black light.

“Swoosh.” Linley instantly retreated, lightning-fast.

Nine in pursuit, one fleeing while occasionally delivering a few sword blows.

“Second Brother, the gravitational power of this bastard’s Gravitational Space is too strong. We aren’t able to catch up to him within the range of his effect.” A giant green snake said frantically. These nine green snakes realized what the problem was now.

“Rustle…” Right at this moment, the Abyssal Fruit Tree began to tremble violently.

I gather all my strength to attack one of the snakes when the snakes finally broke the rocks made them get inside. The rocks I was stepped on vibrating causing me to trip. And the venomous snakes got inside I look at it in the eyes I was about to get eaten when Hannah flashed water in the left side of the snake causing it to fall and slide over to the other side of the cave. Hannah quickly rushed towards me and hug me tight. I hug her back.
"Thank goodness, I get here before too late." She said.
"Yeah, thank you," I said, I notice the boy who is looking at us. And I told Hannah about him who had an injury on his left leg. We approach the kid and let Hannah heal his injured body.
"Did you saw anyone else aside from you here?" Hannah ask.
"No, all I remember was we were on top of this cave when all of a sudden the land we stepped on vibrates and collapsed. Make us all fall from here." He said.
"Maybe some of you did not survive from that fall," I said.
"So, do you think my younger sister did not survive?" He asks.
"No, that's not what I meant, I mean maybe there is still someone survive from the fall. All we need is to find them" I replied to him quickly I don't want him to think something bad happens to his younger sister. 
"I know, there are no chances she would survive from that fall but I'm not losing hope." He said then look at me straight to my eyes. I brushed his head like an older brother doing that.
"Don't worry, we will find her soon" As soon as I said that Diana called us... She said, she found a girl. I gasped and ask the boy what does her younger sister look like and he describes the last time he saw her.
"She had ponytails, on her head. She wears a pink dress and pink shoes, she has a bag designed like a Barbie. Her hair was black but she is white" He said. I told Diana about it and the girl she found a match.
I told the boy about it and he smiled and glad that we found her. And then he asks about their parents...
"Did they found our parents? My sister is supposed to be with them." Luis said.
"I think, they got separated as soon as all of your fall," I said.
"I hope we can find them." He said.
"Don't worry we will find them. For now, let's meet up with the others and find them" I said.
Hannah and Luis nod at me, and we went to where Hannah heading, we were walking when we spotted Rhea and Evan walking towards us. All of us approached each other and talked if they found someone. They said no, but they haven't reached the dead-end when they decided to go where we are because they thought we need backup. I haven't cleared to them that we were safe... for now. The snakes were still here alive and must be waiting for us to attack us.
We went to where they walked and search for others, and we almost took 1-hour walking when we spotted Diana together with a bunch of people. I ask Luis if he knew those people he shrugs his head saying no.
"All of us were taking a tour when we saw something shinning so all of us went outside of the bus and we tried to look at it at the edge of the hills when this is all happens." One of the people told us. She looks old around the '40s of age and she was with her husband. The bad news is we haven't found his husband. The other man next to the old lady look might be around '50s of age. He looks much older but a little bit arrogant.
"What is happening? How did you find us?" He asks.
"We are here to help you and save all of you," I said.
"I saw a giant snake! We need to get out of here now!" He said shouting at us.
"Please sir, calm down. We are here to protect all of you" Hannah tried to calm him but he was so arrogant.
"I don't need your protection. I need someone to help us get out of here before the snakes eat us!" He said. I sighed, Diana went here beside me and whisper to my ears. "This man is arrogant. When I save him, he saw a venomous snake and he wants to sacrifice the little girl to the snake so all of us survive." What she said makes my eyebrows furrow to him. How dare he sacrifice the little girl? 
"I can see it why," I said whispering to Diana, we were still looking at this arrogant man. 
A minute later Terrence and Sapphire brought someone... A man and a woman. Luis suddenly runs towards them and the little girl approach this man and woman. It seems like they were their parents. I smiled and look at my friends it seems like they were tired.
We shared a piece of bread and we also give the other survivors a bunch of food. 
"Why we still staying here?" The arrogant man asks.
"We were taking a rest sir, and we need to find more people who are trapped here," Evan said.
"What?! Why don't we just leave them? It's dangerous for us to stay here longer when the venomous snakes are around us." He said. I cannot contain any much longer attitude. So I stand up and was about to approach the man when Terrence punch him in the face first and shouted at him "Why don't you just go ahead if you are really wanted to get out so much... Then leave us alone. You should be glad that we found you survive and don't just tell us that we should leave the others because if we never found you, we may say that we also leave you and let those venomous snakes eat you!" Terrence shout at him, make the arrogant sit quietly. I patted Terrence's shoulders, he breathes deeply in anger. I know what he feels and I know that this arrogant man was so scared. But It wasn't right to leave those people who are still here to survive in that fall and hoping someone would save them.
"Sir, with all due respect sir. I know that you were scared, not only you were scared. The people we found, and survive in that fall also scared. Especially now that there are venomous snakes longing inside this cave. But we need to find those people who are still here hoping that someone or anyone searches for them to save them. Our mission was to find more people who survive and wanting to live. I just hope that you would understand us sir" I said but the arrogant look away from me. I sigh it's too hard to make other people understand other's situation but I know we have to be more patient. 
After a minute of a break, all of us together went to one path looking for more survivors. We found almost a few more and when we satisfied and nothing left behind. We decided to make a pathway for us to escape but... We never thought this path would make us in trouble.
The venomous snakes were here waiting for us. And they were so many... My friends, Terrence, Rhea, Evan, Sapphire, Diana, and Hannah fought those snakes. While I, guide all the survivors away from the fight.
I make all the survivors follow me to where are the escape route when one of the snakes blocks our way making us stop. It must be too hard to fight the snake when I remember something that can help me fight them. This is one of my weaknesses as a dreamer slash boogie man. I can dream something good but it can turn into a nightmare and it will last only 5 minutes. So I did everything in my power to protect these people instead of fighting the venomous snake I did imagine the snakes melted, but since the snakes were big it's too hard for me to make this last longer. So I told to all survivors to run as quickly as they can until I can hold this venomous snake longer.
But the kid, Luis's younger sister look scared that she barely not moving... I told her to run! But instead of running, she stuck from moving. Her older brother notices her younger sister so he came back from her. But I don't think I can stay this long when the time finally stops and the venomous snakes were about to attack those kids. I run towards them before the venomous snakes hit them. 
I was about to get hit when Terrence save the day. And he shouted at us "Run! Go!" He said so I guide those kids away from the fight and we made all the survivors got out safely.
Out of breathe I breathe deeply to see if everyone was here and survive. And all the survivors are here but my friends weren't here yet. I look back to the cave and saw that the cave was almost collapsing. I shout at them saying "Guys! Run!"
Until I saw my friends flying and the cave was collapsing the venomous snake is about to reach them but it never makes it, the passageway blocked by the rocks. All of my friends got out safely. I hugged them tightly.

One day the kids were bullying him when his patience snapped. His furious self wanted to hurt the kid. But he was stunned to find that his wishful thought turned into reality.

At the age of 15, he decided to change the fates as he could bear no more. Then one day he found out that he had a twin brother that he was the boogie man, that makes all his dreams should be nightmares... And so he decided to change his fate.

"This is a spiritual fruit?" Her eyes lit up as she stared at it. No wonder there were so many poisonous snakes guarding the fruit which resembled the shape of a bottle, because it was a spiritual fruit! But what kind of spiritual fruit was this? Why had she never seen it before?
Feeling uncertain, she was about to step forward to take a closer look when she heard loud hissing noises. Several poisonous snakes sprang out. With a wave of her hand, a sharp wind blade struck two of the snakes.
The fierce wind blade was as sharp as a knife. She thought that the wind blade would cut the snakes into several pieces like before. However, when the wind blade struck the snakes, there was a loud clang. The two snakes were only knocked over by the wind blade and fell to the ground, there were no visible wounds on the snakes. They got back up and slithered over towards her again quickly. 
Upon seeing this, she was slightly surprised and retreated quickly. She felt very strange, how could her wind blade not kill the poisonous snakes? Moreover, there was a 'clang' that sounded like metal when it struck the poisonous snakes. 
While she retreated, she sized up the poisonous snakes and saw that the snakes that were attacking her were a small snake and a medium snake. Some of the larger poisonous snakes were curled up under the tree. Amongst them was a much larger snake, it was most likely the Snake King. It was as thick as a man's arm and about three metres long. At this time, the snake was staring at her with its red eyes, flicking its tongue.
"Are you threatening me?"
She raised her eyebrows, planning her move, as she watched the Snake King screech at her, its tongue flicking, staring at her fiercely with its red bloodthirsty snake eyes.
These snakes probably belong to gold attributes and therefore cannot be killed by swords. What about realgar, what snakes feared most? She retrieved a bottle of realgar from her space, unscrewed the lid and threw it at the snakes.
However, when the realgar landed on the snakes, she couldn't help but blink involuntarily when she saw that it had no effect on them at all. The snakes were still nested under the tree and didn't slither away, as if they didn't smell the realgar at all. 
Upon seeing this, she touched her chin and her eyes moved slightly. Realgar was useless? How could it be useless? Normally, any kind of poisonous snake wouldn't be able to withstand the smell of realgar. Realgar was the natural nemesis of snakes. The situation at hand had her worried. 
Her eyes shifted and landed on the tree. The snakes were unharmed by swords and not afraid of realgar, but what about the fruit on the strange spiritual tree?
It seemed that she needed to understand what kind of tree this was, and why the snakes were so reluctant to leave the tree. Since neither realgar nor sword could hurt the snakes, what about….. Poison?
With this idea in her head, she jumped up and moved to an area further away from the tree. She set up barrier enchantments around her to prevent the snakes from coming in and then retrieved the pill furnace from space and picked out several herbal medicines. She began working and mixed together about twenty or so herbal medicines and elixir medicines, then finally, she was ready to ignite the pill furnace. 
Flames screamed under the pill furnace, until when the right temperature was reached, she put the prepared mixture into it. After about an hour, the twenty or so medicines were combined within the pill furnace and the smell of the medicines permeated the air. She couldn't help but start to wonder. 
The snakes became unusual because of the unknown spiritual fruit tree, once her pot of medicine was ready, would it have the desired effect she wanted to achieve?
When she thought of this, her eyes twitched and she retrieved three more medicines from space and added it to the pill furnace.


She, a modern hidden ghost leader of an organization which gathered insane prodigies proficient in the various differing skill-sets. Highly skilled in medicine and poison, executes covert assassinations, viewed as insane and demonic in the eyes of people of the world. Killed in an accident, and reborn into the body of a disfigured young girl.

What? Face disfigured, identity stolen? A return to the family dim and hopeless? Her identity can be given up, her family can be forgone, but as for the one who harmed her predecessor who inhabited this same body, if she didn’t at least make them scream in unimaginable agony and throw them into a state of wretchedness, how could she live up to her demonic reputation? Endless turmoil ensues and it’s a battle to dominate over all! See how she shook the world dressed in a suit of red, her sword up against the dominant powers that rocked the Heavens! Her name spread across the seas, shocking the earth!

That simple message of run surprised everyone as Joshua stopped pushing the doors open for a moment to think of what kind of trap could force such a message. He was starting to feel like he was in an Indiana Jones movie and would need to start running ahead of a boulder or something along those lines, but instead of worrying too much about it he decided to head the words of warning instead. "Everyone start running the moment we get through the doors. Lilly bring out Cinder so all of the slower members can keep up pace." Joshua turned and said to the group.

            Lilly simply nodded at his words before summoning Cinder. All of the mages and healers once again got on to Cinder's back. She would follow behind the rest of the group at a constant pace as they dashed ahead. This would give the mages a chance to use spells to slow down whatever was pursuing them.

            "Alright let's go." Joshua said before quickly pushing open the sides of the door and running down the hall at a decent pace. He didn't rush to fast because he knew some of the tanks wouldn't be able to keep up with his fastest speed. Instead he kept a constant pace that was fast enough to be more than a jog, but less than a sprint. He didn't know how long they would need to run, but the path ahead of them looked like a long tunnel that seemed similar to the tunnels that the snakes seemed to like to use as lairs back in the canyon. It stretched on far passed Joshua's vision and was dimly lit making it hard to see in the first place. The weird way the rocks on the ground were positioned made it look like a giant snake had slithered through the area and it was putting the entire group on edge.

            After a few minutes of running a loud ringing sound filled the hall way as if to signal the start of something that drew the attention of everyone. With that sound Joshua knew things were about to get started so he sped up the pace a little bit to keep as far ahead of whatever was going to be coming after them. In the end it didn't take long for them to figure out what was chasing them and they didn't like the answer. Several hissing sounds followed behind them as what could only be the sound of thousands of snakes could be heard coming after them.

            Joshua personally wasn't the biggest fan of the slithering creatures, but having what sounded like a tidal wave of snakes chasing behind them definitely worsened his opinion a bit. The hissing sounds continued to grow louder and louder as the snakes started closing in on them. It quickly got to the point where the group could see the pile of snakes feeling the tunnel behind them. The moment this happened Madalyn chunked a canister behind her that started spraying poison quickly after the group passed by. Laura then followed up by sending a fireball towards it to ignite the poison and cause a small explosion that filled the immediate area of the hallway.

            The burning flames from the explosions seemed to delay the movement of the snakes for a moment as they could all hear several of the snakes hissing in pain from behind, but soon the snakes had forced their way through and were once again on their tail. At this point Joshua wasn't exactly sure how resilient the creatures were or just how blood thirsty they were for them to plunge straight through the flames.

            Now that the mages knew that simple small spells wouldn't slow the snakes down for long they started to come up with other tricks to halt the snakes' progress. Amber was the first one to try as she created a wall of stone to block the tunnel off but the wave of snakes just crashed through it and continued their pursuit. It was able to slow them down for a moment which was good for buying the group time, but the pace of the snakes was still faster than their own so that alone wasn't going to work in the current situation.

            That's when Joshua could hear the mages talking to each other and Madalyn through the mental link as they came up with a plan to slow the creatures down. In the end they decided to do something rather simple as Madalyn jumped up on to Cinder's back so that she could help out without having to run the entire time. She tossed another couple of canisters which Laura quickly used her powers to catch on fire and cause more explosions behind them. The fire grasped on to some of the snakes as they forced their way through and that was exactly what Laura and Madalyn were planning.

            Madalyn then smiled before creating a trail of poison behind them constantly as Cinder kept a decent pace ahead of the snakes. Then Amber started to create multiple rock walls to slow down the progress of the snakes. Soon the group witnessed the efforts of the combination of abilities as the snakes forced their way through the first rock wall. The explosion created from the snakes forcing their way through while still on fire in to more poison gas shook the entire hall way. This continued to happen over and over again until the rate of approach of the snakes had slowed down considerably. Even so the snakes continued to surge forward after them even with so many of them dying to the traps Madalyn, Laura and Amber had set. Julia even helped out by making sure the flames stayed strong enough to ignite the poison gas whenever a snake reached a new area.

            This continued for almost an hour before the group arrived into a new area completely tired from the run. The new room was a large cylinder like structure with an extremely high ceiling. Near the top of the room Joshua could see a large door with a snake on it proving it was the room to the boss for the path. However to get all the way up there they couldn't just climb the walls. The walls in the room were covered with red hot spikes that prevented even Cinder from climbing properly. Instead there was only one way Joshua could see to get up to the door and that was the stairs that Joshua saw directly in front of him. The issues was the fact that the stairs didn't reach all the way up to the door and instead cut off in sections on the way up.

The gaps between the sections were a bit too big to try to jump all the way across and up to the next area. Each gap was about two Tank's high and Joshua knew that most of the people in the group wouldn't be able to make that leap. The stairs were also too small for Cinder to stand on so it was impossible to get on her back and jump all the way up to the door section by section. At the end of the first part of the stairs there was a little section for the group members to stand on with a pedestal on it. Joshua knew that had to be the key to getting their way out of this mess. He was the first one to race up the steps with the rest of the group chasing after him trying to keep up.

When Joshua got to the top of the stairs and in front of the raised pedestal he noticed that they were basically four or five floors up on a regular building. It was a good thing to since the moment they had all reached the top of the stairs, with the mages now having to run since Cinder couldn't fit on the stairs at her current size, the tunnel spewed out a wave of snakes that started feeling the bottom of the room quickly. At the pace that the snakes were moving into the room they had about five minutes before the snakes were raised up to the level they were currently on.

"What does the thing say? We need to get a move on quickly!" Henry shouted as Joshua rushed over to the pedestal. He looked at the writing and was surprised by what the dungeon had planned for them to reach the next section.

[I can sizzle like bacon, I am made with an egg, I have plenty of backbone, but lack a good leg, I peel layers like onions, but still remain whole, I can be long, like a flagpole, yet fit in a hole. What am I?]

            "Of all things it had to be a stupid riddle." Joshua said with a frown as he looked it over again and tried to think of an answer quickly. "Any ideas guys I'm all ears."

            While everyone was thinking and looking a bit puzzled about it Joshua was expecting either Isabella or Henry to be the ones to come up with an answer the fastest. The problem was the fact that it seemed like the both of them were over thinking things. Instead it was surprisingly Lilly who came up with the answer. "It's a snake obviously." Lilly said as if the answer was too simple. Everyone looked back towards her in surprise, but the pedestal seemed to register her answer as the correct one as it sunk into the floor and some floating steps started to appear that lead up to the next section and pedestal to climb higher.

            The tide of snakes beneath them seemed to be rising faster as they moved up. By the time they reached the next section the snakes had reached the point where they could slither across the area they had previously been. Luckily it seemed like there was only two sections left separating them from the door up ahead. They all rushed over to the next pedestal and Joshua wasn't surprised this time when it simply had a question written on it that they would have to answer to gain access to the next section.

[How do you tell if a snake is venomous or not?]

            The question was a short and simple one this time around, but it could have several different answers to it. It could depend on the coloring, the body shape, or any other number of reason that Joshua had no idea of which to select. He looked towards the rest of the group who all seemed to say several difference reasons. Henry was talking about the fang shape, while Isabella was talking about the patterns on the snake, but neither's answers made the pedestal budge. The tide of snakes behind them continued to rise putting them all on edge to the point where some of the others started to guess as well. Unexpectedly the answer came from a careless joke made by Adrian.

            "Well I guess you could tell if it's poisonous if you let it bite you." Adrian said with an uneasy smile. The pedestal started to sink into the floor right after his answer and everyone sighed with relief once this happened. Another set of floating stairs appeared leading the to the last gap between them and the door to the boss room. The group all rushed up the stairs as fast as they could to get to the last section as the snakes below kept hissing up at them. When they reached the pedestal there was once again another question and unsurprisingly it was snake related.

[What's a snake's favorite subject?]

            It was another stupid question that Joshua was getting tired of, but he remembered hearing a similar childish joke when he was a kid. "History." Joshua answered, but the pedestal didn't go down like with the other pedestals he panicked a bit at that fact before Madalyn walked up behind him and gave the same answer with a little flair.

            "Hissstory" She said with a little hiss of her own and the pedestal dropped into the floor and gave them the final steps they needed to get up to the entrance to the boss room. On the way up Joshua just shook his head at the fact that the question had to be answered that way, but he rushed up the steps as the tide of snakes seemed to rise even faster with each question they solved. At best they had a minute before the snakes would rise all the way up to the door at the top and by then they'd be on the other side of it. The only issue was the fact that they weren't going to get any breaks before taking on the boss and Joshua didn't like the idea of that.

Joshua is a young man fresh out of college and preparing for medical school. After dropping his friend off at the airport and packing up he takes a road trip to Las Vegas to meet up with his family on vacation. On the way a weird ringing sound grabs his attention and before long take his consciousness. When he wakes up the world has changed, several people have disappeared, and dead miasma born creatures walk the streets. Will Joshua be able to survive his circumstances and figure out the mysteries of the strange occurrence?

This story will be PG-13 (didn't want to say general audiences considering some vivid imagery)
