Even if she had the money to pick it up in the bookstore, she might not be able to choose a book that suited her so well.
When Qiao Nan reached home, Qiao Dongliang and Ding Jiayi were already around. Qiao Nan put away her school bag. She saw that Ding Jiayi had a look of excitement on her face, both eyes were as bright as the daylight - did she pick up some money from the streets?

The elder daughter was so capable, Qiao Dongliang was really pleased.
"Fine!" Ding Jiayi agreed without any hesitation."Good food today all thanks to Zijin."

He find his way to kitchen.

After he eat and clean, Yoshii come back to his bedroom. He look at everything in the room. 
"Is there nothing but games in his room!? Why this dumass spend almost all his money to this trash? At least He has some money left 😤
After that, he goes check his beg and find some book.
"I have to review all the lesson again. I don't want to spend my entire life live like a idiot like him. Hey what has he have?!"

I want to run. To anywhere but here. Anywhere but this small town. I live in Sunside Valley. A small town. And it's summer. My 5 best friends Tre, William, Sandra, Ryan, and Vanessa are out of town. The only bestie in town is Dylan. He works during the summer at our bookstore our parents own. Me and him also work during the school year but I get summer off. So I'm alone in this empty small town. Everyone's gone. I have this ache in my stomach from missing someone from so long ago as I ride my bike to the bookstore where I spend most of my summer with Dylan because no one else is here.

I arrive at the Bookworm bookstore. I smile because I already get the warm feeling of that small bookstore that's filled with million books. I lock up my bike and notice Dylan is reading through the window not even noticing I'm outside. I knock on the glossy glass window. He looks up from the book in shock and looks straight at me. I see his bright warm smile and I smile back.

I open the door and the coolness of the AC hits me finally somewhere cold other than home. It's burning outside kinda wish I brought Penny along. I see Luka Dyl's dog run to me and I smile. He bend down and he licks my face.

"Hey Luka. Who's a good boy? You are!" I pet behind his ear. He's a beautiful Golden retriever who I've known since he was a puppy.

"Morning L." He greets me and it's vacant in the store. I smile at him. 

"Morning Dyl whatcha reading?" I ask bouncing up and leaning against the counter.

"My favorite of course." He says.

"Why I should have known. You always read the time of day." I smile. "Got anything good for me today?"

"Yeah actually." He reaches under the counter where we puts all books we recommend to each other and slides it onto the counter. I pick it's up and read the title. 

"Dusk till Dawn." I say out loud. I turn it around to the back to read the summary.

"It's about a warlock named Quin and a werewolf named Kaylee. Best friends and they were ripped apart because they are different. But they are in love and the the werewolf is determined to find him." He explains. Then I feel this weird feeling….Dylan really….I know he doesn't know about the boy. But this book is my life with a bit of a twist that they can't be together and get pulled apart by their parents. But the fact I'm looking for someone. I'm the werewolf and he's the witch.

"Can't the boy just use a spell to find her?" I ask. Thinking about how that boy should be looking for me but I don't know that. 

"No, her parents put a cloaking spell on her." He says. Sometimes I wish I was in books because it would be easy to forget or come up with reasons he may not be looking.

"You sure it's good?" I look down at the book and notice how thick it is.

"Yes and I know you read books fast but this one is 2,000 pages and I know if you really wanted to you can finish that easily. But it's better if you don't trust me." He smiles at me. Dylan is always right about books but should I trust him? This could make me break down.

"Look L, I love the book and I think you will to you can keep reading The Fire while you're reading it but come on give it a chance." He tries to convince me. I take the book of the counter and it's a bit heavy. I put in my brown leather sachal and take out The Fire. 

"Read both at the same time?" I question kind of.

"Come on I know you read like 10 books at once." He says. And of course he's right. I can't help but giggle a bit.

"You know me too well." I playfully punch his arm.

"Yeah sure come on." He gets from behind the counter to the door and flips the sign to closed. 

"Come on I got a hour brunch break." He smiles.

"There is no such thing." I smile. 

"Come on my parents won't mind they have real work to deal with." He says. 

"Fine." I say. I never understood why his parents let Dylan and I get our dream and bought the shop when they work. His dad is a doctor and his mom is a graveyard nurse every other night. His mom is always home in the morning sleeping. And really just because this is Dylan's shop it's also mine in a way. Dylan is practically family. Our parents grew up together. And when we were 12 we had this dream to open a bookstore. Our parents split the cost put it under their names and bam. Our dream came true.

"Come on Luka!" Dylan calls and hooks him onto a leash. His tail wags and I pet the top of his head. He opens the door and he locks it behind us. It's a sunny day and I see the rays glowing through the trees. Very little cars pass and I wish everyone didn't leave for the summer. 

"Wait L, you biked huh?" He asks. 

"Yeah but come on we can walk." I smile. 

"Hmm ok right across the park and get some crepes and have picnic?" He asks. 

"Of course. The Breakfast picnic everyday." I smile.

When a girl named Ella has a past that haunts her and made promise that she doesn't know she can keep. When she get's the power to see future, present, and past clips in her dreams, ahe starts to wonder maybe she can keep that promise. Her and her friends go on a wild adventure to try and forfill that promise. She stumbles upon a world she never imagined was real.

The room of which Osira and Ada discovered, is perfectly sized as 10 meters wide and long! Whatever the reason why the Snow Ignites felt like they need a place this big for experiments or whatever else they did here, it seems unnatural.

It feels like a piece of this room is missing, as if someone dashed in and stole its contents. There isn't any food here, so Demons couldn't be the case. Or this could just be a theory of which Ada thought of.

As the left side caught their attention, they saw books. Lots of books, but not enough to fill the shelves! Yes, they discovered that there is more than one book shelve here. Three occupy 4 meters of the left side with ease, it reaches almost near the area where the room splits this mini library and the experimental side.

Three tall shelves appeared in front of them once they had a closer look, they immediately grabbed a couple of them and tried to see what information it can carry. Snow Ignites have been known to be ahead in time on most cases, so this is worthy of checking out.

Opening the book, Osira could read a lot about some sort of animal. In the first page it wasn't easy to make up what animal the author of this book is talking about, but at page three it specified a creature as big as a bear with horns on its head. 

This creature was first mistaken as a demon, due to the horns as you might have guessed. The topic here is about this animal called a "Cow". Although this is an animal more common in Zameria, it is intensively rare here in Ignis. 

Reading further, the book stated. "This "cow" lets out this white substance, drinkable and delicious but it becomes a hassle to get it out of the animal as they kick." Or at least that's what she understood, this is Snow Ignite language from the second Era. 

Although not completely different from the language most use now, it has a thicker dialect and accent. Not to mention it is hundreds of years old, the parchment preserved this information tremendously well but a half of words still sound so gibberish. 

The book further stated, "The reason why these animals are rare, is because they are not animals originating from Ignis. And those who were left here by ships who had to cut down some cargo due to unspecified desperate situations, were hunted down by people who thought that they are Demon Bears. Brown Cows faced the worst fate!"

It is weird why this type of information is down here, and it doesn't belong in an experimenting room. Unless the Snow Ignites did experiments on cows or other animals? Well at least books seem to have labels, this book states "Cows".

At page 7 she saw a drawing of a Cow and she understood why a lot of people saw them as demons. They are big and have horns, this at least unintentionally adds another piece of information.

The illas for example, were established over 150 years ago. Before that, Ignites weren't exactly stereotyped as demons considering how much people see them as one at the moment. But apparently the word about demons still spun around at that time, perhaps thanks to ancient religions who don't have any followers right now? There are plenty of them. 

Ada was trying her best to figure out what she was reading, the book she picked is different. Well maybe not in form but, this one has different content. Although at some aspects smarter, the content here made absolutely no sense and the book even seems older. The pages are a bit more mutilated. 

10 pages after, Ada figured that this book is about the types of rocks and what they are good foor. Their durability and their sharpness too, the Snow Ignites sure had time on their hands.

Well they can read these books all day if they had the time, but they still have a lot more to explore and Bittore has to be told about this. The best people to work here are the elderlies, although not guaranteed they are smarter than the younger generations since they know more. 

However they are more close minded and are taught to live by their boundaries, they won't discover anything new if they experimented. All they could do is read all this information no one else would be willing too thanks to two reasons.

Half of it sounds gibberish and there is a lot to read. A rather bad combination from a prespective of any individual who doesn't favour books? These two don't exactly know what to do about it, it is why this requires further guidance from the Grand Leader or at least dump this find on her and let her worry about it, these two are just sent to explore after all.

"There are so many books here!" Ada pointed out the obvious as she tried to read more and more even though when she tried to sound the gibberish words out she almost chocked.

"To bad it looks like demon language." Osira joked around, not minding at all to call the Snow Ignites demons. I mean they do fit the title in some aspects, although we can't say for sure about the Snow Ignites of this domain.

Meanwhile, at the right wing on section 2. Jone and Clarry are exploring the first tunnel. Good enough for the knees, they don't need to go up or down a staircase. The tunnel seems quite straight and to make this situation a lot more odd, they actually faced a metal door for once. Signifying at least some sort of superiority if not mass materialistic value like most of what was discovered until now. What could be lurking behind that door, or what could be collecting dust to be more precise.

Well they are close to finding out because this tunnel is only 10 meters long, one of the shortest actually. Jone already had a hint of what might be behind this door, perhaps a private room for someone who thought himself as superior?

Walking close to the solid Iron door, Clarry tried the doorknob and was quick to figure out that it has collected more than enough dust. So being gentle has been ruled out as an option.

"Let's just blast this door out of its hinges!" Lost Jone her bit of patience and gave a bit more stamina to the fire glowing above her right hand. 

"No!" Clarry tried to calm her down while already developing another plan in her mind although her wordplay different at first. "What if there is something valuable behind this door?"

Thinking about what she theorized earlier, Jone calmed down a little bit and backed away a couple of feet. "Well what do you think we should do?"

"Move aside." Clarry smirked, dependable on her attributes. "I'll kick this straight pile of rust down."

In this group of two, Clarry is the most reliable when it comes to kicking doors down. She is an inch shorter than Jone but definitely has more muscle to work with, she is 70 Kilograms of muscle.

Fixing her hat so it doesn't fall down, she charged towards the door and both her feet separated from the ground! With both feet, she  kicked almost the top of the door. It is a good move since hinges are usually at the top, middle and bottom. While at the top they are the most vulnerable. 

The doorknob will likely be weaker and budge open, it is not certain so let's move on shall we? Kicking almost at the top of the door, she felt the light smash of an impact once her speed was slown down by the door.

But she became victorious indeed, the door got its top hinge broken and the doorknob broke as well. Most of the door still remained in tact but it was still broken beyond repair, they don't need it anyway.

Bashing through the door like a boulder, she swiftly turned around mid air before hitting the ground. Last thing she needs is to land on her back where pieces of Iron might or might not be on the floor underneath her. 

She landed on her hands and feet, almost looked like she did a push up and became more and more glad that she didn't sustain any injury.

"Good work." Complimented Jone and walked in to provide illumination to this place.

"Thanks!" Clarry answered before she stood up with little effort, "So what do we have here?"

"Skeleton." Jone answered calmly, not disturbed of what content this room offered. 

"Looks like this one locked himself in." Clarry added, trying to figure out what happened here hundreds of years ago.

"Well it isn't a surprise for men of higher standards to hide and let others fight for him!" Jone found disgust of the double standards more than the actual skeleton.

"Wait what's that?"

Eric's hands dug in a Black Wolf's chest for the sake of self defense, a Fireball howled from his palms after out of pure fear, splitting the Wolf in half! That's where his Destiny began!

-I can't predict with 100% accuracy from now but my goal is to reach 100 Volumes (5,000+ Chapters) with this series, and considering how many ideas I've already written down there is a 70% possibility of reaching this goal or go beyond it. Not to mention anything slightly less than the goal, the possibilities just rise!

Athena's POV

After a while, Lance and I started talking about so many things. Most of them were related to books and literature. It was fun and comforting. Lance and I had so much in common so it was fun having to talk to him.

"Do you read everyday? or read when you have time?" Lance asked.

"I read everyday, sometimes I spend my whole day on a chair with a cup of tea as I read a piece. It is always relaxing so I do it daily." I said. 

"I'm jealous that you could read everyday..." He said.

"The prince and I only read when we're not busy but since he became the crowned future Emperor, our jobs seem endless." He said.

"Are you close with the prince?" I asked.

"Yes well...I always accompany him to wherever he goes unless he doesn't invite me to, Honestly, I've been in the castle longer than I could remember and I consider the prince as my brother since he's always kind and generous to me." He said as he smiled and looked at me.

"The prince really is kind." I said looking at a distance.

"Yeah...He's worth looking up to." He said.

I placed the locket on my pocket for later. I stood up. "Well, I deeply am thankful to have talked with you but I should return to his majesty." I said as I gave Lance a warm smile.

"I'll accompany you." He offered. "Thank you but, I'll be fine on my own." I replied.

"Sure...Bye Athena, I wish you all the best." Lance said as he waved. I waved back then proceeded to his highness' spot.

When I got back his highness was awake. He was still and it seemed like he was waiting for me. I walked closer.

"Athena...Did you enjoy your time?" He said.

"I did, Lance was just talking to me earlier." I replied.

"Oh?"

"We discussed so much about literature and arts. It was enjoyable and it was quite comforting." I said as I sat down beside him.

"Do you wish to return to your estate now Athena?" He asked.

"I wouldn't mind spending my time here a little bit longer...It's happy here and it's nothing like back at my estate." I said and the winds blew...The blue rose petals fell and his majesty's eyes were locked on mine.

"Is your estate not joyous?" He asked as he leaned closer.

"It's not that highness...The castle just feels different from my house." I replied as I leaned away.

His face was close to mine and my comfort banished. I blushed and he is calm. His aura is tranquil but my heart was racing fast. "Your majesty I--" 

"Highness!~" A voice said.

"Lance..." His majesty said as he withdrawed his face...Why did he do that? 

"...I see your quite vibrant today." His highness added.

"Yeah...It's all thanks to this lady over there..." He said as he walked towards us.

"I see...Well if you want to join us, you'd be welcome to stay." Said his majesty.

"Thanks highness~...But I'm just here for a short while, Nero's papers are stacked and I need to get back later." Lance said.

"So sad you can't join us..." His majesty said as he slowly took a bite of a pie taunting Lance.

"W-W-Well that's ok highness..." Lance replied. Is majesty continued to taunt.

"Will you stop that?!" Lance asked.

"Stop what? I'm just enjoying my food." His majesty said letting out a smirk.

"Hmmm...~" Lance said as he looked at me.

"Well I best be off, but first..." Lance grabbed my hand then he kissed the back of it.

"Goodbye Lady Athena! I hope you laugh more often so I can get to see your beautiful smile!" He said happily as he let go of my arm then ran towards the castle.

After that, His majesty offered me to go to the library, I accepted since I want to read books.

We sat down on two seperate sofas...We grabbed the books of our liking then read. There was nothing out of the ordinary and we just read and read the whole time. It was already 12 in the noon, and I should probably head back at my estate soon.

Though we didn't finish it, we still discussed what we just read.... He was precise at his words and I tried my best to keep up after that we suggested each other what to read. He suggested me The novel "The Canterella" A take of romance which involved a noble born daughter and a assassin sorcerer.

I returned the book to it's place. At the corner of my eye, I saw El Divine's Broken Promise. But it was a struggle for me to reach it because I'm short. I tried to reach it but I ended up having dust in my eyes.

"Here..." His majesty said as he tried to reach the book behind my me.

His majesty was able to get the book. "Thank you highness!" I said as I went back to the sofa smiling and excited.

"Are you a fan of El Divine?" He asked.

"Yes highness, I've been reading El Divine's works in a long time..." I said.

After that we spent another hour in the library. I was intrigued of El Divine's book and took the time to scan the piece well. El Divine's words never seizes to amaze me. I wish I was just as talented as her!

I managed to finish the first 10 chapters of the book and I still have 30 more to go. I looked at his majesty and he was reading "The Knights at the Round Table". 

"Do you like ronce novels too highness?" I asked.

"Yes...I favor them very well." He replied.

"Which is your favorite piece so far your majesty?" I asked.

The first memory that I have? It was my own birth, no I wasn't crying like most babies. I was calm and collected, and I didn't even know what those words mean, but that was just how I am. I knew I had a sister, but I came first, so I AM the oldest! hahahaha! My name is Proteos Kritikah by the way.

My sister's name is Lucine, the Princess of the Kritikah clan. She likes to act like she's more mature than me, but that's just because I'm older and she knows it. Anyway, when she came next, she cried for a bit, until she noticed that I wasn't crying. She immediately stopped, and she knew, oh yeah, she knew that she lost hehehehe!

Sadly that was only one of my few wins. For the next 6 months, we couldn't talk yet, so the both of us communicated via expressions and sounds. After her loss to me, we made a bet to see who can start talking first. I tried my best, but she beat me by 1 month! 1 MONTH!!! Are you kidding me! I had to suffer her gloating for 1 fucking month! Hmph! For a gentleman's revenge, 10 years is not too long. I got the upper hand though, I started reading first just before we turned 1 muahaha! of course, for a gentleman such as I, I only gave her a smirk. Revenge truly is sweet.

The next day, I was going to start my session of reading books out loud around her, but Damnit, she took my book and started reading! Uguu!!! I almost coughed out blood. I don't care what you think, that was still a win in my book, since I was the first one to show my reading skill. After that I knew I couldn't win against her anymore, so I started learning more about the world I live in. 

There are nine realms in the world, each separated by a veil. In the past there was no way to travel between the nine realms, that is until the Kuroma reached the level of supreme in magic. The highest 
state one can reach in one's class. Kuroma then spent years researching to create doorways between realms. I wondered how he knew that there were "realms" other than ours. I looked more into his biographies, which was countless, well okay just 15 books, not a lot. He did do an autobiography though, which was neat! why would he write his own autobiography? Best way to let people know his achievements, I guess. So I read the 15 biographies first, and I found something which I thought was weird, In those 15 books, all of them were missing a big part of his life! They were missing everything from the birth to his 60s, they all started at age 63, when he appeared during the coronation of my grandfather to present a gift. At the time he was only a Master Mage, whatever the gift was, none of the 15 books elaborated. I will have to ask father later. Kuroma accomplished great things for a decade and stayed in the spotlight, which is covered by the biographies, he then disappeared for 2 decades, before coming back with the creation of the "Doorway of Realms". He died few years ago at the age of 207, still quite young for his state as he could have lived for a millennium. Unsurprisingly it shocked all of the nine realms. Numerous experts and royal families from all nine realms came just for his funeral, some I have heard great things off of late. Now were here, about to read his autobiography, but mother is coming with my food. I will be back after I've read it.

Days have passed, the time has was spent, yet here I am seventeen years later into my life, wasting it by constantly going through a cycle of school, home, sleep. With the hours in the middle being those which I waste time on an obsession I picked up during the summer before I started year 12. Constantly, reading books regarding reincarnation, systems and cultivation, in which people have fixed their lives, or you could say turned their lives around for the better. I always wonder to myself why am I thinking about this constantly - going back into time and fixing my mistakes. I am only seventeen. I can still turn my life around. I am a typical student who has been led down the wrong path through distractions. Manga, Video Games, WebNovels. After I return to my room and start to study the basic-herbs book, now I am studying the poison herbs, the time for memorize all the poison herbs take me 2 months, after this I leave the room and eat something in restaurant locate close to the inn, after this I came back to the inn for study more, and for my curiosity and open the alchemy book and start to read and I read the book the time for ready all the book was 10 hour, after read I realize something, my talent for alchemy is 0, I don't possess any talent for alchemy, in this area I was worse than trash, the requisites for the alchemy is:

• The person needs to have an essence of power about fire for handle the cauldron;
• The person needs to comprehend every about the process of refine pills and liquid;
• The person needs to have an essence of power about water to make the liquids;
• The person needs to have a good cauldron for make the pills and the liquids;
• The person needs to have a clear mind for make the pills and the liquids;

The requisites I am missing for became I trash alchemist is have an essence of power about fire and water, I don't have a cauldron, I don't possess a clear mind, and I don't know the process to refine pills and liquids. 

I don't go to start a new essence of power, because what I want in this life is power for my revenge and I don't have a desire to become an alchemist, the essence of power I'm cultivate in this moment still weak and I need time to make my essence of power become -1 like the others, then I need someone for make the alchemy for me. The best solution is finding a slave, but an alchemy slave has a high price in the market and is difficult to find someone to sell this kind of slave.

Then I decide to read the rest of information of basic-herbs books, the time pass quickly and 6 months have passed and I already read all the basic-herbs books, then I decide to leave the room and go to the Destroyer Guild take some mission, this time I look for some slaughter mission, and I find one, this mission need to destroy a beast and bring back his core. Because the law of Asura realm don't permit no one die, after the beast is down his core become his life, with someone throw the core of the beast in Asura river the beast will start to regenerate until his back to the original form he has before being destroy by someone. The herbs in Asura realm have the same principle, if you refine same herbs in pills the pills will contain the vitality of the herbs and the effect of the pill will be better. Then I need to find the beast time the mission a take is:

Request: destroy 100 wolf type beast and bring their core for the destroyer guild. If the core pass of 100 which core will receive an extra reward, one extra core is equal to 200 low-grade stone of essence.

 After I take the mission, I leave the city and go to the forests, and start to look for some prey, I look for sometime and finally find a wolf time beast this wolf have a black fur, his eyes is yellow and his nose id green, but for my luck his alone and now I can test my new equipment. Then I take the dragon sword and start to walk in the direction of the wolf, the wolf start to look at me then he start to run in my direction, after he approach he attack me with his claws, I dodge the claws and with the sword stab the wolf but for my surprise no blood come out of the wolf the I think maybe the sword don't go deep enough the wolf attack again and this time his claws hit my armor, the armor receive some damage but this is the best time for me attack then I stab with sword in the eye's wolf, the wolf is down but again no blood come out of the wolf the I decide to open the wolf with the sword and take the core, after I open the skull of the wolf and take the wolf, I decide to open the wolf for see why no blood come out, I use the sword again then I discover this wolf don't have blood then I start to think, maybe the beast in the Asura realm don't possess blood after I finish the hunt I going back and study about these beasts. 

I start to look for the wolf and find some more after sometime and the same thing happen again the wolf don't bleed, then I continue the hunt and after 10 days I finish my hunt, the amount of core has hit 100, now I already have the amount necessary for complete the quest, but I can take some more in the next 20 days, then I decide to stay in the woods for more 20 days, but something had happen the sword in my hand start to become red and black, I can feel the thirsty for blood this sword is crying like a baby, then I decide to cut every beast for collect their blood for the sword. The time have passed and now I've collect more 110 wolf-core, I collect 50 fox-core and some others core, then I return to the city and hand over my mission in the guild, the reward this time is 42.000 low-grade stone of essence. Then I return to the inn for study more, this time I'll study intermediate-herbs books.

The world belong to strongest and the weak is just a stone to be crush.
