In a steady and cautious pace, the two of us entered from the back of the vicinity, knocking down the back doors. We are in touch with professor Olive since she is responsible for disabling the CCTV cameras which are on a recording state since it is a holiday and no will be around to watch the monitors.
Upon entering the museum, we wait for the professor's signal. It took about ten seconds for Olive to deactivate all the security mechanisms of the vicinity. Anyways, back to the heist. As we walk, Virgo's attention is grabbed by the library section located on the east of the museum. Books, stacked in rows and columns, shelves each separated for a genre, with tables in order to rest your tired feet. This is truly attention-grabbing for bookworms like Virgo. However, with all my best I try to convince her to focus on our current mission.
If there is a library, there is also an art section. How, I wish to take a closer look at such fine artistry. The paintings were painted during the golden eras of Johto. Its beauty captures one's heart, bringing joy and content. If only if I have the time, I'd spend it on drawing again. Come to think of it, the artists of the past are more creative than the ones today due to the lack of inspiration.

Back to the book, it is placed on top of a wooden lectern, coated in brown. Coincidently, the sun's light directly points at the book, giving it a glorious appeal. The professor is right, it has a fancy velvet color with no title at all. Suspicious it is, for this is my first time to see a book without a title.
Virgo makes the first move. Unable to control herself, she jolts to the book, flipping the pages and reading it with her eyes. Just from the first page, Virgo is left in complete shock. With her eyes-wide-open, she asks me to take a closer look.
"What the?!" I exclaim, seeing a page with no words. I flip to the second, the third, then the fourth, everything remained blank. A book's purpose is somehow not present in this "book". It does not have what readers search for, the artistry found in words.
Although it may be blank, at the center of the book lies a page like no other. Painted in gold the page is, bearing a magnificent illustration of the wings. On the left is the dazzling rainbow wing and on my right is the shining silver wing. Virgo then twitches her glasses, and begins to read the small notes.
"Only the heart of gold and the soul of silver shall be worthy of the wings. If it falls under the palm of evil, it shall turn to black, withered and decayed." Virgo reads carefully.
"I guess we just need to tear the page in order to steal it right?" I suggest.
"Perhaps." Virgo concurs.
After enough thinking, I volunteer to rip off the page. Taking the whole book rather than ripping off the page we need would only raise our suspicion. My hands are currently on the page of the book, when suddenly something from behind us interrupts. We look the ceilings, and there we saw the ceiling made out glass, shattering into fragments as ropes from the skies begin to descend.
We then hear the laughter of people, somewhat descending from the skies. For us, it seems to be gobbledygook since we wonder where the ropes are attached too. Little do the two of us know that we're held captive by those who control and roam the skies of Johto, the pirate of the skies, the Rebirth Society.

All I wanted is to have a typical life, a life with no burden nor struggle. A life where someone appreciates my existence. Why did my desire for a blissful life bring me down this path? My body is filled with thorns as I walk to a path which I could not stray from. What have I done to deserve this? Why did they abandon me? Why am I shrouded with the hands of lie and fear? All I wanted is to live a life where no one mocks the burdens I bear. Is that too much to ask for?

Helena hops out of her house and down to the doorstep in front of her backdoor, then hopped Again into the Freezing snow that piles largely from the ground up. Gasolina lays in the deep snow she wins both of her arms and legs Until she's Created a snow angel and she got back on her feet. Sarah Race up to Helena and hug her with a smile of enjoy.And so Sarah and Helena talked and argued to what they should do since it's snowing. They decided to build a snowman first, then to make a small snow fort behind the snowman so it looks like a guard installed a dash to the forest to build a snowman.

Well, if you think about it in a normal person's POV, it would be a jackpot! But, who is John? He got his IQ measured and it resulted in a staggering result of 300 IQ. He may have been unlucky all his life but that all turns around today. His High IQ, coupled with his incredibly impossible luck will show its deadly might. 

It was around 3 in the morning already and John needs some important sleep that he desperately needs and because tomorrow will be the day he, the Lucky Genius will start his journey as a powerhouse in the game, Fate's Encounter.

Morning or should I say afternoon, because apparently, John overslept. Luckily, John has no responsibilities for today because new year just happened and a holiday was in order.

John groggily woke up and remembered what happened last night. 
"Damn, the shit that happened last night or should I say earlier was preeetty crazy, it all happened so fast." John said.

He heard his phone ring just as he woke up and answered it.
(Hello?) John

(Good afternoon Mr. John, This is IG calling you to inform that your VR capsule will arrive at exactly 10 minutes from now. There are also nutritional liquids included in the delivery as a bonus. We hope to cooperate with you more in the future.) The call was quickly ended by the caller.

' wait, Nutritional liquid? Aren't those really expensive and only sold to VVIPs and can overall enhance your physical body and can also cure any diseases lurking within the person that uses it?' Thought John as he once again was surprised at his luck for receiving these bountiful gifts. He then remembered that his package will be arriving soon, he checked the time and it showed 3:20 pm and quickly went outside to wait.

After waiting for a bit, his package arrived being carried by 5 muscular men.
'Is the capsule that heavy that they need to have people like them to carry it?' Pondered John.
They stopped in front of John and showed him a letter of acceptance of the package and  He quickly signed it and then John guided them to his room and they set it up by the door of my room which made it really tight and uncomfortable.
One of them gave me a manual of sorts and quickly left. Not long after, a somewhat normal looking man arrived wearing an expensive suit and gave me a suitcase.
"I'm from IG and here to deliver the nutritional liquid as you have been informed in the call, there are 3 bottles inside but you can only consume one in your entire life unless you want to explode from too much energy. I have already delivered the package and the liquid and it is time for me to go, please take care Mr. John." Said the man in a hurry and quickly left.

'Well that all developed real quick' thought John as he smiled wryly thinking about everything that is happening quickly, too quickly.

Nothing much was found in the manual except the fact that it is self sustaining meaning no need to connect to a power source so that's one problem off on the list.
There was also a built in wifi inside thats very strong and for some reason, everything seems to suit him in his situation and they seem to have considered his poor living conditions.
'Hmmm....weird guess I'm just lucky' thought John.

He did not find it suspicious that he is abnormally lucky and that the man left in a hurry after delivering the package that he is supposed to have, no , not at all.

After numerous reads in the manual and checking the capsule if it was complete, he finally sighed in relief.

"Phew, this thing is really amazing, if the helmets provide 99% realism, then the capsule that I have right now provides 100%."
It may not sound impressive considering the fact that its only a 1 percent difference. But this 1% is actually very significant because this 1% is the border between reality and the game and seeing as it provides 100% realism, you can consider it as having another body in another world.

It may sound ridiculous but it is actually very accurate.

"Anyhow, this is the only chance that I have to turn my life around and I can't just run away from this just because it is an experimental product." John set his goals straight and made up his mind to JUST DO IT!

The next two games were easy wins for the Pelicans, both ended with 30+ point blowouts. In the game against the Mavericks, Lonzo posted a triple-double; 50 points, 10 rebounds, 18 assists, 3 steals and 4 blocks (19-34 FG, 10-18 3PT). Then, in the next game against the Grizzlies, Lonzo dropped another 50+ point bomb. He had 54 points, 8 rebounds, 16 assists, 9 steals, 2 blocks and shot 22-30 from the field (7-13 from 3 as well). He was awarded the Western Conference Player of the Week for his efforts. Lonzo couldn't care less about such an irrelevant reward, he wanted championships! No one has seen him in the playoffs yet... he could just be a regular-season player... right? That's what the haters say, they always find something that makes Lonzo look worse than he is. On the other hand, Lonzo's fans are having the best times of their lives. Slowly, but surely, there's a new bandwagon gathering around the Pelicans.
With Lonzo playing like he's the undisputable best player in the NBA every night, rumours of endorsements and even shoe deals started growing. Lonzo's current status with BBB is shaky, to say the least. He has been thinking about it for a long time... at first, before the breakout, he wanted to sign with Jordan. But now he sees something else... the potential to build his own brand... a brand about Zo. He's destined to be the greatest to ever play the game, so why not?
After the game against the Grizzlies, he finally decided. He called up his Dad. 
Big Baller Brand did make a comeback after Lonzo Ball started balling out, but there haven't been any new signature shoes... it was time for the resurrection and rise of BBB!

After a long chat, his dad agreed to resurrect the Big Baller Brand. This resurrection was going to begin with Lonzo's new signature shoe; The Assassin I "Resurrection". Why assassin and not ZO2? "The ZO2 2" doesn't sound quite right. Besides, Lonzo is a completely different player now. Lonzo decided that the shoe would be a 100$, not too cheap and not too expensive. It was going to officially come out on January 1st.
"I can't wait.."

"Yep, I'm staying with the Big Baller Brand."

There were only 10 players at practice, so 2 five-man teams would work.

With my third pick, I took Josh Hart since my team need a shooting guard. Then, with his last pick, Zion selected Cheick Diallo. With my last pick, I selected the last player remaining... The game was pretty competitive (30-27)... Lonzo decided it was time to take over and bring his team the W. After a few lightning-fast crossovers, Jrue was leaning.

Getting out of the bathroom, feeling my body temperature rising guarantees my suspicions of being infected by Corolla Virus.  I turned on the old black and white television to watch the news.  It is still early in the morning so I am actually watching the 10Pm news of yesterday.

I look at the small screen and wonder "How is this television is still alive until now? if I remember correctly, my father bought it when my mother was pregnant with me!".  The television antenna isn't receiving any signal, so I started beating the television with my hand.

The moment it received signal it said "Breaking News!  An oil carrier has had an oil leakage near the beach of Muscat.  We request from all the citizens to be cautious and to not go there before the leakage is cleaned!"

I cursed my luck as I heard the bad news...  I thought I will hear some random news, but now that I heard this it made me wonder "what would make me more unfortunate, to die by COVID-19 or by that oil leakage?".  I quickly shook my head to remove the bad thoughts from my mind, perhaps today is my lucky day!  I knew it isn't but I know I should think positively.

As I was trying my best to think positively, I received a message from my brother that reads "Go pick my wife, she is sleeping in her grandma's house".  Right after that message, I received a message from my brother's wife that reads "Come pick me from my friend's house, if you dare tell your brother I will make your life miserable!".

I went to shower quickly, and then grabbed my car key.  I went outside and started the engine of my Corolla model 2000.  While I was waiting for the car heat to go down, my dickhead brother came out of the house and said "Wait for my daughter to be ready and deliver them to their school while you are at it".  

I acted as if I had no fever and said "Ok".  I waited inside the car for 10 minutes... 20 minutes...  There was no air conditioner in the car, because it was broken, and it is very hot even in the morning.  After 40 minutes of waiting, his daughter came inside the car.  After they entered I sneezed once.  I dropped them by in the school and went to pick his wife from her lover's house.  I tried to arrive as fast as possible, but as I was about to cross the train track, the barriers dropped down, stopping me from crossing the train track.  I cursed my luck again as I turned off the engine of the car and said "This is going to be a long waiting!".

Meanwhile in an alternate universe...

"FUUUUUUCK!  I sold countless worlds to charge in this stupid gacha game!  The summon sale is featuring Miku, the new character in the game with pull chance of 0.03%. Being the god, and also the best gamer in this universe sure is hard!  I stopped the time from the whole multiverse except for the game server, just to be the first one to who gets Miku.  This multiverse has been frozen for more than 13,000 years!  I am running out of time... If the great God heard about this, he will surely punish me!"

My love for gambling in gacha games has driven me to do extreme things.  I sold the world where all the dirty clothes go to, also known as Bleach, to a person from another multiverse called Tite Kubo who was willing to give me 90% of the funds he raise by selling videos of that world in alternative universes!

I sold many worlds to raise enough money, and I still can't get my hand on Miku!  I need to find a solution!  But who would I find a solution?  ...  Wait a second... I am such an idiot!  I never thought about anything in my life!  Whenever I needed an answer for a question, I sacrificed a universe as materials that I use in a divination!  Divinations are the most convenient way to find answers!  At the cost of a universe, a Divination could find the answer for the most complex issues in the world!  

I wonder why it took me a lot of time to remember about Divinations...  Maybe I was very frustrated with this stupid Gacha!

Without thinking any longer, I sacrificed all the universes that I don't own completely, thus sacrificing the worlds I sold to other people.  "What can they do about it?  I am a god!  They can just go fuck themselves!".

The divination voice sounded out "In order to summon Miku and 9 dupes in an 10+1 summon, you need to kill a human located currently in Earth 33, and summon his soul here.  Use the gacha while soul is next to you, and you will summon a Miku 10 times in a 10+1 summon gacha".

I got very excited!  That Voidne brat is from the same multiverse as Masashi Kishimoto, the one who I sold Narutoverse!  I didn't wait any longer, and peaked into Earth 33 to see Voidne raiding and old car, sneezing and dancing while listening to Three Days Grace.  I could see what is written in fate.  Voidne would die after 3 day out of COVID-19...  Three days are too long!  

I can't wait any longer!  I pushed his car into the train track moments before the train arrived at the crossing.  "Now he will surely die sooner!  All I need to do is to pick his soul when he dies!"

While dancing, I felt the car is being pushed toward the train track!  I put my legs on the break, trying to stop the car, but to no use!  I tried to open the door of the car, but the door is locked!  I tried to unlock the door, but the lock is stuck!!  And it was at that moment I knew... I FUCKED UP!!  I cursed my bad luck as the train crashed into the car, dragging the now rolling cube of metal with it!

I could feel being crushed by the dented structure of the car.  Blood started to come out of my eyes, my nose, and my ears.  My brain is suffering from a severe trauma due to the hard shaking, but I could still feel, the painful crushing!  I could swear that this pain has already laster forever, but to make things worse, metal rods started piercing my guts one by the other, as the train keeps flipping the car as it drags it on its track.

I begged the god of death to come harvest my soul, this was very painful!  This hurts so much, but because of my bad luck, it seems that the reaper is on a tea break right now...  And to make the matter even worse!  The fractions lit the oil, causing an explosion, which I felt fully!  The burning sensation and the force it hit me with...  At that moment, I could only wish to die...  My brain stopped functioning correctly, I couldn't perceive the world correctly...  All I could feel was pain, and all I could think of is "I fucking hate my luck!  If I was ever to go to hell even after I suffer all this pain, I will curse the god endlessly!".

As if god heard my prayers, the train took a right turn, launching the burning chunk of metal into Muscat's beach, landing remarkably on the leaked oil, causing a huge explosion!  My vision turned black, but when I opened my eyes again... I saw... Big Chungus???

It's here, that damn shitty engagement proposal is here. Damn it I knew it was created when we were just babies but did it have to come so early? I haven't made any preparation to counter this, ah I really will have to wing it won't I?

Our family is just catching up on the news as we have just returned from a small trip. Our first family vacation! Let's recap, it was nothing too far, just further south down the coast of the territory for winter. Of course, the Ventrellas would have multiple properties, including a beach house. Well, it's more appropriate to call it a manor. Definitely not as large as our home but substantially wealthy compared to what I'm used to in my world.  

While our mansion isn't too far from the sea either, it was fun to go somewhere else from home too. It was a week-long journey by enchanted carriage, the best money could buy. It wasn't smooth sailing but it was much better than a regular carriage, it's absolutely necessary with my motion sickness. 

With the carriages enchanted for stability, unnatural lightness and comfort the beast mixed horses could travel speedily. I'd say it wouldn't lose out to a standard car's speed traveling on the open road, like an RV trip! Of course, these speeds are only possible with this combination of money, connections and carefully controlled magic monster mix of this world. Most people, nobles included, wouldn't be able to enjoy such privileges even with a lot of money. 

It's a nice perk I have no control of and might as well take advantage of. 

While mother, Lilyanne and I relax and sightsee on the way, father went ahead with his attendants to examine the territory. He would meet up with us on certain points and nights but arranged so that he would arrive at the vacation home first to prepare for our arrival. Even on vacation, he manages to fit so much work in. It's much more economical that way.

While winter is not the most active season outside of the holidays and new years, father has no shortage of work to see to. It's all administrative and winter is a good catch up paperwork season. It's also appropriate enough time to see the land and people when they're hunkering down for the winter months. The stocks and storage are filled and accounted for and the various village and town leaders have free time. It's also good timing for communities to request aid or specific orders before winter hits and to prepare for the planting season. 

Of course, we have many capable employees to communicate and do that for us but it's good to have direct experience with the people. It's based on Grampa's humble beginnings and something that Father quite enjoys after marrying over. Like a rich sheltered prissy boy fascinated with normal things, common people take for granted. Oi, my idiotic parents' marriage is beginning to make a lot more sense now that I think about it like that.

Grampa did not join us, he's not even in the territory I'm sure. Left a few months ago on another adventure. 

Part of his excuse was to go contact some capable old fried about finding instructors for Lilyanne and I but the truth that everyone knows and accepts is that the man just has a serious case of wanderlust. 

He just has to go.

 It's already remarkable he stayed put so long around the mansion but that's only because we were born. The special circumstance of mother getting pregnant and giving birth for the first time, paired with our attempted kidnapping kept him here for nearly 3 years straight. Isn't that a record for him? I'm sure plenty of people are counting.  He needs to be off on adventures, racking up crazy stories, and meeting up friends, both old a new. While his favorite haunt is up north with that stupid prince's elf uncle, no one really knows where he could be at any given time.

In short, he's a great and charismatic general, an even better hero, and a god awful nobleman. No sense of responsibility or follow up. The servants all laugh about how the administrative and management department people all wept tears of joy and praised the Goddess for days on end when father first accepted to be married over. 

Something tells me it's no joke.

I would have preferred to go along with him but there's no way mother or the maids would have allowed it, I'm still deemed too young. And it's not like I could just sneak on a stowaway, trust me I tried. Got caught and dragged back by Mrs. Gerda astonishingly quick, even after the horses left. She's been terribly strict on me to and fro this trip, I've had next to no chances to sneak out!

Thank you, Ms. Gerda, but this is far too much attention. Well, it's not like I don't give her reasons to be vigilant... I've only accidentally set one fire but still.

Oh well, it can't be helped, next time then.

And so we had a lovely family trip by the southern seaside and even passed our second birthday safely there. Even though it was winter, there were many warm sunny days especially early on in the trip. While the seaside near our home was large, it was essentially a port.  It has many rocky cliffs overlooking the gorgeous view below but it was still a strategically planned port with a naturally forming bay. I like our local port, it has a lot of potential for trade and commerce there. 

But the vacation house is a proper beach all with classic crashing waves and warm golden white sand. 

Sand that Lilyanne spent most of her time making sand....sculptures. Sure let's call them that. I tried to get her to splash in the water more or climb up some rocks to look at tide pools. While I got her to do a few more activities it was mostly foiled due to her own fear or the maids' fussiness, probably both. Well, she caught a few colds, nothing serious but it was probably for the best for her to take it easier. 

Still it was fun to play like a normal child with no worries.

My favorite though had to be our visits to the surrounding town. It was a beautiful place right out of a travel brochure, with all wide white stone walls, blue roofs, and twisting seashells encrusted decor everywhere. When Lilyanne was feeling under the weather I was surprisingly allowed to tag along with father more often on his work there. He's a competent man when he's not using his foul mouth offending people. It was even oddly pleasant to spend time outside following his work.

Sometime we would even go down together as a family for meals or during holiday markets. 

It was all that one would consider an ideal family vacation.

Maybe it's due to tagging along with the kidnapping attempt or my own more active initiative but isn't my relationship with my parents, especially father, progressing much smoother than last time around? 

Interesting, I don't expect it change much but I would like to see how it goes. 

Which bring us to this point, where our capable head butler Alfonso, whose been handling matters since we've been gone. He reads us the breaking news of the proposal report.

"A marriage! This early? Frederick darling I know I'm not as practically well versed in such matters but don't tell me it's normal for nobles to be arranging children so soon?"

"Unless arranged by families far prior to birth, yes this is rather too soon."

"Oh we must reject it, or at least stall it. It's far too early for this nonsense."

"Maria my love I agree with you with all my heart but unfortunately the matter isn't that simple. It's regarding the royal family of the North."

"I know, oh I know. Oh, where is papa when you need him?"

"My Lord and Lady, I've  already taken the liberty of contacting the old master's contacts and count Urderidge in getting the word to him."

"Oh thank you Alfonso, you always know what to do. Uncle Geoff will most certainly be a help until papa comes back."

"It would be best to discuss the terms in person. The annual spring conference will be held in a month in the midway land and we're invited to stay in their private residence during and after. They're requesting we bring both the children, to let them and their son get to know each other."

"You mean pick and choose between our girls like they're calves to slaughter at the market. Oh, Frederick, I don't like this one bit"

"It's just a meeting my lady, surely more will be resolved with time."

"They're just too small be rolled up onto politics, oh they couldn't. And travelling again? We just got back. Lilyanne hardly just recovered from her last bout of illness and we're taking her to where it's even colder and harsher?!"

There it is, the shift in her eyes. There's something about the way mother looks at Lilyanne, to me, then back again. It's something I've been long expecting, something Rosalia doesn't really need to see but should. It's the moment where mother weighs us and chooses in her heart, though she'll never admit it out loud, which child to let go of.

The choice is obvious. Somethings really can't be changed.

I'm getting sold off again.
