Though the press was waiting for the President to address the nation on the ongoing events, they couldn't do anything but watch from their phones and tablets on the live events that were taking place in and past their state.

Everyone couldn't believe their eyes!

This whole charade was just too much... It was like being face slapped over and over again on a matter that they had no control over whatsoever.

At this juncture, they knew that if the government didn't know any better and took a different approach then they as the citizens would be used as a mere stepping stone... And probably left for dead!

In everyone's opinion, the government was just delaying the inevitable!

What was the 'inevitable' by the way?

Through observation, it has already been understood that whatever the government did, they were still unable to counterattack their opponent.

This seemed ridiculous at first but with all the evidence on the table, the most powerful nation on the globe seemed to be losing.
