The snake of doubt

The dinner in the Snake Castle was kind of funny, kind of embarrassing, and definitely very personal. The whole family was happy to share their funny stories and Sienna blushed. She listened and chuckled at herself. Luckily Sharchan was keen to hide her trickery and uphold her innocent image...

With this family fighting for fun and playing deadly games, Sienna rather wanted to look weak enough not to be suspicious at all!

After the dinner was officially over, S and Sharchan accompanied Sienna to her room, hissing and bickering about something on the way. Sienna just heard it as a clatter, she was way too tired to address it! She just wanted to sleep. She was kind of sleepwalking to her room clenched between them. When they finally came to her room S opened the door for her with a seductive smile, but Sienna kissed his cheek and pushed him back to the corridor a bit groggily."Goodnight S." she wanted to just make it to her bed, and go to sleep.

"Hey? No hot night tonight?"S provoked her a little.

"No, I need to rest."Sienna shook her head and yawned, she was so tired and it made her impatient.

"Well, we can rest together then, I will relax your whole body..."S touched her hips gently.

"Not now, I just want to sleep." she put his hand down a bit grumpily.

"Be patient, brother," Sharchan hissed and pulled Sienna inside. It was a bit infuriating for him to watch S seducing her, but he gave him his word not to stay in his way. 

Sienna sat on the bed tiredly and started to pull her dress off. Sharchan was watching her thinking. He was kind of confused.

"When you will accept my brother?" Sharchan bit his lips.

"I do not feel like it."Sienna shook her head.

"But you kissed him and went to bed with him willingly."Sharchan looked at her curiously.

"Yes, to keep you and Ziran alive. I kissed Ziran and Marath too, but it doesn't mean that I'm obliged to go down all the way. I did it to save your life. He tricked me so I played his game. End of the story."She said a bit enraged. She was way too tired for meaningful conversation, it was a very long day...

"But you were almost mating with my brother, he feels responsible..."Sharchan still did not stop. He did not even understand what he was doing, but kind of felt bad for his brother, even if it hurted him.

The idea of twins in the bed passed Sienna's mind again and she blushed as a pepper. She put a warm turquoise velvet nightgown over her head and looked at confused Sharchan.

"I don't think he really loves me, he is just attracted to me..."Sienna smiled tiredly."Besides, he is not the king yet, no?"

"I told you already, that we can share the throne, and you...if you like."Sharchan said,

"Would you like that?"Sienna looked at him curiously.

"Whatever makes you happy," Sharchan said a bit coldly.

"I will be happy if he falls in love for real and is truly happy," Sienna nodded. Sharchan did not stop talking and she kind of started to wake up again.

"How do you know he doesn't love you for real?"Sharchan asked.

"I don't, I just hope he doesn't."Sienna bit her lips. This was so awkward.

"Do you love him ?"Sharchan asked.

"I do, but more as a brother-in-law, "Sienna said thinking.

"So are you not attracted to him at all?"Sharchan lifted his eyebrows suspiciously.

"Yes, I am attracted to him, he looks like you."Sienna nodded. She was finding this conversation ridiculous.

"Then you can accept him, no?"Sharchan said a bit painfully.

"But I don't think is a good idea, you are brothers."Sienna tried to reason with him.

"And?"Sharchan asked."I see no problem, it is normal here." he shook his shoulder."It is settled then!" he said coldly and went out feeling a bit upset inside.

Sienna looked after him."Hey! What is settled? I did not agree to anything! Come back right now!" she stood up from the bed abruptly. 

Sienna felt wide awake again! Her emotions were all over the place! This Sharchan! He exactly knew how to make her angry! He always picked the wrong time to talk! "Aah!"Sienna was raging in frustration. "He never listens!"She called into the stony walls. She felt hurt... "He will not tell me what to do! How dare he? It is my choice!" she screamed at herself in the mirror. She bit her lips. "I will show him to order me around!"

Sienna decided to find Sharchan, but as she opened the door S was waiting for her, seemingly holding the guard...

"So? Shall we go to my bedroom and continue what we started?" he looked at her with hungry eyes.

"I can't now, I'm upset!" she screamed at him in a bit of rage. And ran down the corridor.S was walking after her nonchalantly..." She is so cute." he smiled. He heard everything and figured out that Sharchan upset her. But he had so much fun teasing her...

Sienna knew S was following her, so she ran in a bit of panic, till she passed the big wooden door. They were open just a little, right on her left side, so she just slipped in, closing them in a quick push. She looked at the softly illuminated room. It was full of shelves with books.

"Aaa, I found the library..." she smiled." What a great place to hide." She said to herself half loudly. Sienna did not want to stay near S, because she was not sure how long she could resist him! S was way too playful and smooth and Sienna had a hard time keeping sober next to him!

Sienna walked around the library slowly and tried to breathe. The decorated books on the shelves looked way too ancient for her to even dare to touch. She felt as if thousands of years were staring at her from those shelves. But it was so quiet in there, so nicely dead quiet... Sienna held her head trying to calm down her blood sounding in her ears.

"How can I have two brothers? Why is he pushing me to do something I feel is not right? It's not that I don't like him. It is just too much pressure! And what if he was in the bed with me? And what, if I liked it? It still doesn't mean I have to have both of them! They look the same, so what? He can take it as an educational activity and we can be a happy family again! But no! Responsibility, bla bla bla... He is a trickster, so what? He got his own medicine for a little. It is not like I hurted him or something! He would not lose his virginity on his fingers! Besides, he was quite good at it anyway!... They are both stuck onto me, not letting me breathe! Ahhh!" she raged under her nose, walking somehow more and more frantically through the maze of corridors in the library till she bumped into something softly hard. It held her by arms lightly and Sienna shrieked in shock. She did not expect it! She lifted her head abruptly and stared into Sharmut's entertained face! Sharmut with Marath were in the next book alley seemingly not hiding! Sienna looked up at them in sheer horror."They must heard everything!" she gulped in her mind.

Sienna noticed that they both were laughing quietly!

Sienna reddened up as a pepper."You heard me?" she asked them just to confirm it.

They nodded holding their laughter. Sienna saw how the ends of their lips were twisted. They seemed like naughty teenagers to her and not older respectable warriors together!

"We can hear, that you are troubled somehow."Marath smiled a bit cheekily.

"Sharchan just wants the best for his brother and you are the best, don't blame them, "Sharmut smirked.

"So you can have them both. You might like it. "Marath licked his lips."I think you are wild enough..." he smirked at her.

"It is not just about that."Sienna bit her lips."I think S deserves to find his love, he might have a happier future..."

"You think he will be not happy with you?"Sharmut asked curiously.

"I'm always in some kind of trouble. My mates have to fight a lot for me..."Sienna sighed."If S has someone here, he can have an easier life and a happy family." she nodded. "And that children they both are after so much." she reddened up."It is just so much responsibility for me for now and I do not want to hinder him."

"Well, if you truly love someone it is fun to fight for them." Marath smiled gently," Any of your mates will do anything for you."

"Well, I don't want to break S's heart, but I do not want to entangle him, I think it might be just chemistry yet." she blushed." He does look the same as his brother and even though he is very likeable...I just want the best for him." she sighed."I think I'm also confused..." she nodded."It is all tangled and confusing and weird..." she bit her lips.

"So you are stalling them, trying to figure out if Sharchet really loves you or if it is just chemistry, then?"Marath asked thinking.

Sienna nodded.

"Go to sleep now, it is late. Tomorrow will be a new day and you will think better. Maybe you will find out tomorrow who loves you more. "Marath smirked at her kindly. It was always entertaining to watch this beautiful bundle of emotion for him.

"Come, I will take you back."Sharmut offered her his arm and Sienna clenched into it."Goodnight Marath..." she said sweetly. She kind of felt better after talking to him. He felt kind of so trustworthy to her.

"Good morning, Sienna!" he smiled."It is already past midnight, 2 minutes past midnight exactly..."Sharmut and Marath chuckled wildly.

"Ok, good morning then!" she nodded her head and rather went on with Sharmut.

"They are way too wild in here!"..she sighed in her mind, "Or did they drink too much wine?..." she shook her head thinking.

Sharmut took Sienna down the dark corridors in a different way, he wanted to talk to her for a little, but Sienna had no idea, she just went with him trusting, because she could not navigate well in the wast castle at night. The subtle light was illuminating their way, but sometimes they had to walk in the darkness.

Sharmut heard Sienna's frantic heartbeat."Maybe you can keep only Sharchet if you want just one of them. They can exchange as before. He will be much more nicer to you than Sharchan, hm? You can leave my older son behind and have only one nicer Snake King..."

"How could you talk like this? He is your son too."Sienna asked surprised.

"He doesn't care about you well enough, he just thinks about himself and his wants, what about you? Bringing you to that hustler? Endangering your life? Don't you want to live free of golden cages? You need to help yourself too, not just wait on your other mates to help you out."Sharmut noted. "

"But I love Sharchan, he is my mate..."Sienna said quietly.

"You accepted him because you wanted to save his life...you ran away from him as I remember and you were ready to stay with Tyrell if he would win over my son. "Sharmut hissed.

Sienna had to agree he said the truth."I was scared he would eat me, so I ran, but I did kind of like him." she said quietly.

"So what about your life? What do you want?"Sharmut hissed.

"I want Sharchan to be more kinder."Sienna noted."I hope I can help him with it."

"Sharchan will not change, not even for you..." Sharmut noted.

"What I'm to do?"Sienna sighed. She did not want to live in the golden cage.

"Think about it," Sharmut said. "I know my older son, you saw nothing yet." Sharmut stood with her in front of her room and opened the door for her.

"Have a good night...ahh...morning...Sharmut, thank you for taking me back."Sienna kissed his cheek.

"Sleep well, little queen."Sharmut pet her head and went.

Sienna slipped into her bedroom quietly. Her head was buzzing and her heart beat in fear. She went to her bathroom and washed her hands in darkness. Then she went to her bed. Her bed was cold and empty. Sienna lay down and covered under the velvety blankets. She felt confused. She stared at the dark ceiling for a while. She could not imagine to just exchange Sharchan for his brother.

"But will my life be so miserable with him?" she questioned herself.

"Well, I have Sarcos and Marco to back me up," she thought." But I can have S too, if I want, he will back me up here....but that will be too selfish. He deserves his own life. My brother-in-law."Sienna thought and fell asleep.

Meanwhile, S was running through the dark forest. His heart burned in resentment. He did like Sienna and he felt weird about her reasoning. He was standing behind the library door and heard everything! He kind of felt as if she given up on him and it hurted his pride a lot.

Suddenly a dark figure stood in his way.

"What are you doing here?" Sharchan hissed at him...

"Hunting!"S noted a bit coldly.

"So for what I Ieft you alone with her then?"Sharchan hissed.

"For nothing, she was too tired, your queen will be sleeping by herself tonight. I need to hunt and think." S nodded. 

"Let's hunt together then, brother, "Sharchan noted and they ran through the dark forest together. They felt wild and confused. Both of them!
