Sick of Expectations 2

The next day,Una woke up feeling good ,even better about herself. She did have a reason to. She got out of bed and dressed up and went out only to see busy people everywhere and she didn't understand. She went to ask the queen what was going.

Una:What is going on here?

Queen Ziana:well, your dad asked for the preparation of the party to commence immediately. He has also announced the party already and everyone is invited.

Una: okay , so when is the party going to take place ?

Queen Ziana:This Friday .

Una:Friday!, that's only like just three days away, come on mom.

Queen Ziana:Hey, rules are rules and we must obey them.

Vivian:Your majesty, the organisation committee are ready .

Queen Ziana: l will be there shortly. I have to go love , see you soon but in the mean time, l have arranged for you to go with Vivian to go shopping , you will have to make a good impression.

In the castle of Zaniah,the time came for Damian to choose his bride.lt was to be held at noon and in the morning, he couldn't think straight, everything was upside down. He decided to go to the king and confront him of his unwillingness to conform to the decision the king has taken. Damian barged into the conference hall and the presence of all the council leaders.

King Luciel : What insolence ,have l thought you no manners!

Damian:you did teach me to stand for what's right and l know l do not want to get married.

King Luciel: l don't care what you say , rules are rules and we must obey them. You're going to find a wife today and that's that.

Damian walked out of the hall full of anger and he met Navine on the way .

Navine: What is the matter?

Damian: Dad isn't going to change his mind.

Navine: l told you not to do anything stupid and besides you know dad is a very stubborn man. Now ,you had better go get ready and make me proud .

Una : So what kinda dresses do you like?

Vivian: Anything simple and stylish, that fits my skin tone.

Una:l get that, you wouldn't want to over do it would you?

When they reached the mall ,Una got an ash dress since it was her favourite colour , it had one sleeve but it was made of two strings and they would have to be wrapped around the hand and had a lot of fluff at the lower end .lt was so nice .Vivian also got a peach flowery dress that went down and after , they headed back to the castle.when they got back to the castle, everything looked great , from the crystal chandeliers , mirrors for reflections of the full moon and it felt like symphony especially with the scents of the mystic blooms which bloomed every full moon .

The match making ceremony was just about to commence when the vampire of the west came to present their daughter to the king. Without a thought, he accepted the offer. She was Clara, a very beautiful maiden and attractive woman but she was a bit older than Damian. She didn't bother to greet which even pissed off Damian even more. Could she not be arrogant for a second playing with her hair and things like that, kinda what you would expect from typical princesses.

Damian:l can't stand that woman, she's extremely arrogant.

Navine: you don't say.

Said Navine in a seductive way .

Damian:l suppose you like her don't you?

Navine: look ,she might be attractive and all but l don't want to get entangled in the situation you're in with dad. It's either you do this for the kingdom or make dad loose it.

That night ,Damian couldn't sleep ,he knew his father , he wouldn't hesitate to disown him and his whole entire life would be destroyed but he couldn't stand that woman especially knowing how flirty she was made him even uncomfortable with her. He went outside to get some fresh air and then someone pushed him into guest lounge unexpectedly , and to his surprise , well not technically a surprise, it was Ciara.

Damian: What are you doing here you...

Ciara : Hush sweetheart you know you like me but you're just too afraid to say it .

Damian: No l don't.

When Damian was leaving,She held him against the wall and was just about to lean over to kiss Damian when Ms Liane knocked and entered the lounge uninvited knowing perfectly well what was going on in there.

Ms Liane: Princess Clara, l thought you would like some chocolate milk.

Damian rushed out of the lounge outside and Ms Liane followed him.

Ms Liane: l know you do not like her and I'm with you on this okay hun.

Damian: thanks Ms Liane.

Back in Luna Uva, Una spent the rest of the day in the library reading about how control her wolf courtesy at parties like these an different languages , how the ritual took place and this was all because she didn't want to disappoint her father, not in a hundred years was she going to let that happen.

Vivian: don't you think this too much studying thing will wear you out l mean you are supposed to enjoy a party not die because of it.

Una: l think you're right l need to rest and thanks.

Vivian: l am always right and you're welcome.
