Masterson's Past (1)

'what would Carol's reaction be when she finds this' Masterson was smiling as he looked at the cake and the fake mini gun he brought for her.

................

He then arrived near his home and brought out the key to open the door when he saw something that shook him

"What?!" Masterson said, what he saw was the door to the house was open.

'What! How! I remember that I definitely locked it before leaving...' Masterson thought with worry and fright growing in his chest.

"Hehehehe Again! Again!"

Then suddenly he heard his daughter's laughter from the hall and from what she is saying somebody might be with her...

"Carol!! Coral!!" Masterson yelled loudly as he swiftly ran inside the house, toward the hall where he found.

"Heheheheh!" Coral laughing while getting spun around by a tan man, who had a bored look on his face.

"Fufufufu looks like she took a liking to you" On the sofa sat a woman with curly dark-blue hair, who was laughing lightly by what she was seeing.

"..." The tanned man glared at her without saying anything.

"Carol get away from him! what are you doing here Mr.1?" Masterson had a ferocious look in his eyes after he recognized the two Baroque Works agents.

"..." Mr.1 stopped spinning Carol and looked at the person they were waiting for.

"Fufufu! What took you so long?" Miss. DoubleFinger said as she looked at the former Marine while smiling lightly.

"P..a... Papa?" Carol said with her voice shaking a little bit as it was the first time she had seen her father like this, thus scaring the little girl.

When Masterson heard Carol's shaking voice, his expression softened a little as he didn't mean to scare her so he waved the cake while saying it with a fake smile.

"Carol dear, see what I brought with me,"

"Cake!" Carol yelled excitedly as she forgot what had just happened and ran toward her father, who doesn't frequently buy her cake.

Masterson carried his daughter, who took the cake and toy from him and took Carol to her room.

He told her to wait there while he goes to meet the guests, which Carol didn't hear as she was happily gobbling her cake.

After making sure she was safe, he finally went to meet the Two B. W agents...

Who didn't move and waited patiently for him to finish his business so they could finally discuss why they came.

"Give me a reason to not kill you two..." Masterson said while the air around him started getting colder and more frigid after he spoke after arriving in the hall and looking at the two B. W agents with a ferocious look in his eyes.

Mr.1 crossed his arms and leaned against the wall as he said "DoubleFinger.."

"I know, I know, here," Miss. DoubleFinger said while throwing a file at the Bounty Hunter.

"What is inside?" Masterson said as he grabbed it and quickly opened the file.

"See for yourself," DoubleFinger said with a meaningful look in her eyes as she looked at Masterson's expression changing rapidly after seeing the content of the file.

The file contained images of his daughter swimming happily with a tail and then another image of her walking happily in Loguetown with normal legs.

"I didn't expect your daughter to be a mermaid, but that would explain why you resigned and cam-" Mr.1 was saying, but he got interrupted by Masterson.

"Die!"

Bang!

Who finally snaps angrily as he quickly took one of his guns from under the cloak and shot at Mr.1 without giving him or DoubleFinger time to react.

Ting!

But the bullet didn't pierce Mr. 1's skin, instead bounced off it, shocking Masterson a little, who thought.

'Tekkai(Iron Body)? No, he didn't harden his muscles... So it must be... a Devil Fruit!'

"-Came to the East Blue hide... Since even among the mermaids your daughter is special... what do you think the World Noble would do after finding out about her?"

Mr.1 continued speaking from where he had been stopped before.

After hearing what Mr.1 said, Masterson got even angrier, and so he sent a large air blade toward him as he yelled

"Tempest Kick!"

"Atomic Dicer!" Mr.1 reacted quickly as he transformed his fingers into tiny blades and then he crossed his hand over his chest before he slashed downward in an 'X' motion, instantly slicing the air blade and even the wall behind the place that Masterson was standing on into small cubes,

The Bounty Hunter dodged when he saw his attack failing by using Soru to disappear and reappear near the exit

"Both of you need to stop or else you will destroy the house!" DoubleFinger yelled as sweat was dripping down her face as she thought 'If... if it was me... Who he shot then I... I would've been....'

The two stopped fighting after hearing what she said, but for a different reason, Masterson stopped since he knew that the house wouldn't be able to hold if they fought seriously.

As for Mr.1, he stopped because he got intrigued by Masterson's attack.

'He called it Tempest Kick... I wonder if I learned it, would it help me win against...' Mr.1 thought as he looked at Masterson.

After seeing that the two men stopped fighting, DoubleFinger released the breath that she was holding in and said "Even if you killed both of us, nothing would've changed since the images have already been sent to the Main Headquarters in the Grandline"

"..." Masterson's expression became ugly when he heard that, DoubleFinger ignored it and continued saying.

"And so if you killed us they would spread it all around the world and now you wouldn't want that? would you?"

Masterson's expression changed a lot as he tried to think of a solution to this issue, alas he couldn't find a solution.

And in the end, he sighs and looks at the two with reluctance and unwillingness as he says "What do you want..."

He knew that they wouldn't go through all that trouble just for nothing.

Hearing his question made Mr.1 smile for the first time while spreading his arms in a welcoming gesture and said

"We welcome you to Baroque Works, Mr. Sniper.."

And like that, Masterson and Baroque Work's fates changed forever.

Baroque Works becomes stronger by getting a strong agent and a treasure trove of knowledge.

Which they used to their advantage by letting Mr. Sniper teach Rokushiki to many of their agents.

Meanwhile, Masterson took on the responsibilities of his position as a Number Agent.

5 Days later.

In the Northwestern region of the East Blue was a small ship docking on an island.

At the port, there were a man and a blond girl, who were looking around the village while the others were anchoring the ship.

The man was a rather averagely tall man with a seemingly lean build, large sideburns, a mustache, and a goatee-style beard.

He was wearing a cowboy bucket hat and that made him look like a gunslinger. He also wears fingerless gloves and usually likes to don a cloak but right now he was just wearing a shirt and brown pants.

Meanwhile, the little girl looked like she was 6 years old, with blonde hair and blue eyes, and she was wearing a dark green bow at the top of her head and a light green dress.

"Wow, everything is so different here, right Papa?" She looked around with wonder as if it was her first time on another island.

"Yes dear," The man said as he looked at the village that was a little bit desolate and empty even though just a moment before they docked, the place was bustling with people who looked a little worn out.

While the little girl's father was looking around a man with a stern expression came toward them and said

"You are not welcome here! Leave immediately or else.."

The man was an average-sized, dark-haired man with a thick mustache, his face and body heavily scarred.

He was wearing a brown, short-sleeved policeman-Esque uniform with sandals and a pinwheel in his policeman uniform's cap.

"Kya!!" The little girl cried out in fear when she saw the scarred man and quickly hid behind her father.

Who laughed a little bit as he said " Whoho! Don't worry we will leave after I complete our mission"

"Is your mission so important that you would've endangered this little child.." The scarred man said with a grim and angry look on his face.

The cowboy man or as we know him as Masterson said as he laughed, "Whoho! of course, It's that important!"

"u.. u... You!" The scarred man's eyes widen as he couldn't believe what he heard,

Masterson then continued saying "Since my intention is to kill Arlong"

Shocking the scarred man and villager who were listening to them.

"What!!!"

................

Later on.

In Arlong Park, which was destroyed by the man who stood on its rumble he looked down at the villager and then an orange-haired girl as he yelled loudly while raising his fist to the sky.

"Arlong is dead! Starting today your all are FREE!!"

"..."

The villager couldn't believe what they saw or how swiftly their worst nightmare was defeated by this man.

Until the Scarred man, who is called Genzo yelled loudly,

"Arlong is Finally dead!!! We are Free!!!"

"Horry!!"

"At last we are free from him!!"

"Hahahhaha"

Which brought the village back to reality as they either yelled or cried with joy after hearing that.

"Thank you!! Sob...." Nami said with tears of joy falling down her face as her sister hugged her while saying with tears also pouring down "Your finally free Nami.... free!"

And so the news was sent all around Conomi Islands that Arlong was dead.

The people couldn't believe it until they saw it with their own eyes so they traveled to Arlong Park to see its state.

They then went to Cocoyasi Village to thank their savior and party together.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter :) And I just want to give guys a heads up that the next chapter will also be continuing a little bit more of Masterson's backstory.

Since his backstory is connected to many important people like Nami, Johnny, Yosaku, and LongNose.

As for Nami, she was ten when Arlong came to her island, and so if Masterson came earlier like when he came to the East Blue 5 years ago, Nami would have just been 11 years old and not 16 years old that she is currently.
