Golf challenge

Karin turned to look at the girl who has clearly criticized his awesome performance, he was feel with anger when he heard the words of the girl, but the moment he turned to look at her, he was almost out of words because of how beautiful she was.

Her skin was glowing under the radiant sun, her black long gel hair was well kept and her ocean blue eyes were that of a diamond, her natural long lashes were fluttering like an angel wings, she was an epitome of beauty, if Karin didn't know better, he would have mistaken her for an angel.

If not for the words said by the girl, Karin would have definitely simp for her, but he quickly compose himself and remove the look on his face which made him look like a love struck teenager.

"What do you mean by I manage to play a golf ball in, do you think it's very simple to play or perhaps you think you can play using your words to play" said Karin in an angry tone.

"I can close my eyes and still be able to play the ball into the hole" replied the girl.

"You can keep on dreaming" said Karin.

"I don't know why I'm even exchanging words with you when I know you are clearly not close to my league" said the girl.

"Consider yourself lucky that I don't like competing with girls, if not I would have clearly make you eat your words" replied Karin.

Patricia and the mother of the girl were just looking at Karin and Abigail as they were bickering like old married couples.

"What do you think we should do?" asked the mother of Abigail.

"How about we let them compete to see the winner" said Patricia.

"That's not bad but you do know that Abigail is going to win right?, she had been playing the game of golf since she was nine and now she is Eleven" replied Abigail mom.

"I know that, I suggested it because of that, let her earn her place and let him earn his place by playing" said Patricia.

"Okay, if you say so" replied the woman.

"Kids enough of the bickering, haven't you hear this saying that action speaks louder than words, how about both of you battle it out by playing, whosoever can get five ball in, wins, how about that?" said Patricia.

"I'm in" said Abigail without hesitation, "Why haven't you agree already or are you afraid that you are going to lose?" asked Abigail while smirking.

"You wish, I definitely can't lose to you, so count me in" said Karin.

"Good, now both of you should go take those golf club over there and get ready to start" said Patricia.

Karin couldn't help himself than to think about the shame he is going to experience very soon, because he knows that base on the way the girl was being confident about the game said it all that this wasn't her first time unlike him.

After taking the golf club, they both walked back to get the competition started.

"So which one of you wants to go first?" asked Patricia.

"Ladies first" said Karin quickly while stretching forth his hands as permission for her to go first.

On seeing the changed attitude of Karin, Abigail couldn't help herself as she scoffed passed him and walked confidently to the position of the ball that's was already set in place. She position her golf club and fire off at the ball, making it enter the he hole perfectly.

Karin couldn't close his mouth and he saw the result of her first hit, she went for the second one and the result was the same, so as the third, fourth and fifth.

She walked back with a wide grin clearly visible on her face, she couldn't stop grinning from ear to ear as she look at Karin.

"I told you it was going to be easy like a walk in the park" said Abigail.

"Well then Karin, it's your turn" said Patricia.

Karin knowing full well that he would loss and won't be able to do what she just did, turned to face his grandma.

"I forfeit the game" said Karin while dropping the golf club.

"Okay dear, that's the end of the game with Abigail being the winner" said Patricia.

After calling the result of the game, Abigail walked to meet Karin walked to one side of the open field.

"Why did you just forfeit the game without even giving it a try?" asked Abigail while looking at Karin.

"Does it really matter, you won anyway and it's kind of really nor of your business" said Karin.

"Well I know I would have definitely won even if you gave it a try, but forfeiting without even trying isn't really a good thing, do you want to be known as a quitter?" asked Abigail.

"There is more honour in forfeiting than making a fool out of ones self" replied Karin.

"Really, that do sound like a work mostly used be quitter" said Abigail.

"It's better to know one's capability and acknowledge defeat, I know i wouldn't be able to pull the same feat as you just did because it's my first time playing, so I just acknowledge defeat to save myself from embarrassment" replied Karin.

"If you are interested and don't mind, I can teach you a thing or two about golf" said Abigail.

"I'm a kind of person who doesn't let pride control him, so I don't mind you teaching me at all, because base on what you did not too long ago, I know I can learn a lot from you" replied Karin.

"How about we do the training every Friday, we don't really have a choice because that's the only time we usually gather to play golf" said Abigail.

"I don't think that would be possible, I'm going back to school next week, I just came to pay my grandma a visit and would be going back" replied Karin.
