The sounds of blaring horns dulled with the shutting of the car door.
Cheng Xiu sighed as she settled on the shot gun seat, and leaned against the cool window frame, looking out of the tinted glass towards the horizon that showed tall buildings of various shapes, all tinged in orange light.
"Stop that!" Gu Shu scolded as she closed the door on the other side. "That was your third one in just half an hour."
Cheng Xiu turned to her with narrowed eyes. "What are you talking about? Third what?"
"Sigh! That was your third sigh."
"Who would notice such things."
"I do!"
Cheng Xiu shrugged. "You could count the number of trees on the sidewalk instead of counting how many sighs I let out. It would be more useful."
Gu Shu rolled her eyes. "Yeah, right."
"I could step back from this just as I quickly as I stepped forwards," Cheng Xiu warned.
